I already had a post up to cover an appt and my meds, then I woke up this morning and tripped over the cord of our $270 air purifier and broke it. I have diagnosed asthma and chronic bronchitis. The air purifier is what keeps me from constantly being horribly sick. If you've ever had bronchitis, you can imagine how bad it gets without it.

I need to replace this today if possible because I was already going through a flare. I cannot emphasize how urgent it is. I work from home, don't get paid for over a week from now, and the air is already hard to breathe without it now. I am kind of panicking.

Joels kind of like a shonen mc in wild life especially the finale, where once he declares you part of his "family" you can't hurt him. Not that you can't try to, everybody except gem and grian tried to kill him many many times, it's just when they do they can barely graze him, hell half the time he's not even aware that they're trying to kill him and even when he is he just shrugs it off (there is something deeply wrong with him)

I really want to like HotD because I really like The Dance in F&B. But as the season went on, it became less of an adaptation of a story I remembered fondly and more of a prequel to a show I did not want to be reminded of. Please stop trying to mcu-ify the show and just tell a self-contained story. I absolutely do not care how this relates to characters who won't be alive for the next 200 years. Your plot and characters should matter and have stakes and motivations that are relevant NOW.

Kremy first took up smoking when he was helping to care for his meemaw when her time was coming. It was stressful, he loved and cared for her obviously, which is why it was so hard. He was basically working nonstop; wake up, help out, make and serve breakfast, leave for school, get back, make dinner, clean up, do homework, go to bed. No time for leisure, people are counting on you.

Someone gave him a cigarette one time at lunch, just a sort of friendly gesture, and that's when he picked up the habit. They tasted like shit, but it made him feel a little more relaxed, at least.

He couldn't actually afford getting any so he just got really good at sweet talking and, if all less failed, simply "borrowing" them.

After his meemaw passed and he moved away to Agwé, he got a job for the first time and got to buy his *own* pack. The habit stuck ever since. He passes it off as more refined and relaxing now, but the truth is he was just the same as anybody else; scared, stuck, and looking for anything to make it all feel better, or numb at the very least.

There’s no death to be seen here. But I still felt like I needed to post about my Gen 3 sims’ husbands demise. Showcased below is their special room in the crypt in Forgotten Hollow.

Aileen’s father died on the last day of the Blackburn’s vacation in Tomarang. They returned home early and spent some days in Strangerville, with Aileen’s mother Evangeline. Rhys Scott was buried in the family graveyard in Forgotten Hollow. He had been an exceptionally talented sim: He reached level 10 of the astronaut career, traveled to Sixam and Battuu (joined the Resistance), discovered the Forgotten Grotto and Sylvan Glade and he was a collector. And most importantly: He was the Hero of Strangerville. Together with his wife Evangeline and her brother Raphael they had defeated the MOTHER and cured the infection (and later resurrected her for his daughter). He was offered the opportunity to come back to life but he declined. He died of old age and had lived an adventurous, happy and long life ⭐️

Note:

No pics from the funeral I personally don’t enjoy those moments so I don’t stop to take pictures! But I still wanted to show the grave because I really love decorating it with the sims’ items. Makes it easier to say goodbye imo. I also stopped aging because I didn’t want to celebrate the twins birthday when everyone was mourning. I think they would’ve either cancelled or postponed it themselves too 🫶🏻

My grandmother is dying. She’s been in rapid decline for years with severe late stage dementia but the shift was just so sudden. I saw her like a month and a half ago and she was smiling and laughing and making jokes even though she could hardly form a sentence or remember who anyone was, but over the past couple of days she’s taken a turn for the worse and there doesn’t seem like much time left. She won’t wake up anymore.

Even though we’ve had time to prepare for this it’s still heartbreaking. This has been weighing on my mind on top of everything else lately and it’s made it hard to keep creating. I may also have to go out of town again soon depending on what happens next, so please bear with me
