I'm putting together a bootleg slime tutorial of the musical, if you have footage please read!

PSA: This is my proper post regarding this, I have went through and compiled most of the London clips of Death Note the Musical available online. I still need to sort through some audio, but I'm hoping to put together some kind of bootleg slime tutorial!

More yapping info under the cut.

If someone with extra clips that they've never published *somehow* finds me please dont be afraid to contact. I likely won't put this together fully until i have more footage/audio.

99% of the clips I have access to are from tiktok with text plastered all over, and all the footage I have is in 360p. So it definitely won't be an ideal way to view it. This is intended to be consumed as supplementary material to enjoy the musical and is being put together for archival purposes.

The colors in the sheet represent the sources i gathered the clips from. I have went through what I believe to be all the available clips online.

I still need to sort through several curtain call clips + audio i found last minute. I also need to compile together listings people have made regarding selling/trading clips and see if anyone is up to kindly give clips of portions that im at the very least missing.

I have access to 2 semi-complete scripts made by other fans to track what is missing from the clips i've found, but i'm taking caution in guessing what is missing so basically im overestimating what I'm missing.

The musical itself is a really well made adaption, and although I don't personally enjoy how the london adaptation went I believe its still worth putting together to make an archival of. Hoping this may bring in more people to enjoy this piece of media!

Note: I haven't personally seen the musical live so I don't have my own clips. Hell, I only properly watched death note itself a bit over a month ago, but i really want to contribute to the fandom's archival work in some way with what I can. I do hope this can progress somewhat from the help of others in order to put this together for more people to enjoy it!

You know what's the sad thing about Lucifer? The casting choice could have been actually kind of perfect from a character-role-evolution standpoint... if Lucifer was actually portrayed as prideful. You know, the embodiment of the Deadly Sin he's the ruler of and supposed to embody in this universe?

Jeremy Jordan, Lucifer's voice actor, was Light Yagami in the Death Note musical concept album. Light Yagami is a character who's incredibly prideful, with a strong but slewed sense of justice and a desire to become "the god of the new world" by ridding the world of criminals. He's conniving, manipulative, severely lacking empathy, and sees his rivalry with the detective L as a game he has to win.

Imagine how fitting that casting could have felt if we got an actually prideful Lucifer. You'd have all of Light's ambitions except in this case the guy would actually get it. He's the King of Hell, for crying out loud! Heck, Jeremy even sounds older as Light than he does as Lucifer, and Light is supposed to be 17.

Hey fellow theater kids!

So, recently, as a tremendously generous birthday gift, my mom got us tickets to see the Phillip tour of Hamilton.

It was one of the most exhilarating moments of my life.

I had seen the Disney+ version, but watching it live is so different and so awe-inspiringly wonderful.

I could feel the music in my chest

Every pound of the drums, every sound of the violin

When the stairs came out, my jaw fell down

Nonstop was kind of insane. There are no words to describe the feeling it filled me with except extreme euphoria and ecstasy.

After act 1, I looked at my mom and asked her “Did you just see what I just saw?!”

I cried after every number, whether it was emotional or not. (of course, the emotional/sad ones had longer tears, but nevertheless)

The cast was wonderful, their voices superb.

Nikisha Williams as Eliza had such a wonderfully soothing and beautiful voice, like an angel on earth, her gasp at the end of the show was not as I expected but it may have been better - she looks out at us the audience, then up to the sky, her hand raised in the air. My holy goodness gracious G-d she was good.

Ta’rea Campbell as Angelica absolutely nailed Satisfied (and literally everything else she sang). Also her part in the Reynolds pamphlet sounded so raw, so powerful, you really really believe her.

Elijah Malcomb as John Laurens and Phillip Hamilton was truly something else. This guy. This tremendously talented guy. He has such a heartbreakingly beautiful and sweet voice. Both of his deaths absolutely punched me in the gut, he was so SO good. 

I know for a fact the exact beat and note and number that Phillip got shot on. 

That did not do anything to change my absolute and utter shock when it happened. I felt like I had no air. 

The true star of the show, however, was Kameron Richardson (understudy)  as Aaron Burr. Oh my gosh. He was incredible. His voice is a powerhouse. He put the most amazing riffs in Wait For It that truly showed off his insanely talented vocals, and his Room Where it Happened absolutely blew the roof off. I don’t know if I’ve ever been more impressed with an Aaron Burr than I have of him.

All the other actors were of course fantastic but these truly blew us all away. (pun intended)

I have looked everywhere for slime tutorials or videos of this cast. I have found nothing. I so wish I could listen to their voices again, because that was one of the most breathtaking experiences of my entire life. If by any chance you know of a recording of these talented people and cast please let me know, I beg you. Thank you.

I know they’re a dime a dozen in the audio gift tag. I still have a bunch of my old slime tutorials and audios and stuff but honestly the odds of me just giving those away are slim to none.

I’m happy for people to message me off-anon with SPECIFIC requests, but other than that the only audios I will ever put up to give away are of more exclusive runs of shows that are unlikely to be given away by other people. Shows like Death Note or Next to Normal are London exclusives and both are sold out already, so any recordings I put out to the wider internet are primarily for those who would have gone to these shows had they only been able to, and who have little to no foot in the trading community. I believe shows shouldn’t be gatekept as much as they sometimes are, and I know I would have killed to hear an audio of a show I knew I would never be able to attend, or with a cast I’d never be able to see. I’m just doing my part.

Holy shit Y E S!!!! I listen to it like all the time (mainly any song with L in it but literally all the songs are so good).

I’m like silently hoping that the UK production will get a “Slime Tutorial” soon cause I sadly can’t watch Subs, (I have trouble focusing, I need to be doing something when a show is on, it’s a whole thing) so I have yet to really watch any of the Japanese productions online.

I do hope L gets a neat green jacket again. I like him in big jackets.

Hi, Afterlife Anon again about the Death Note musical! Just to let you know in terms of slime tutorials, you'll probably only find ones of the Japanese and Korean versions of the show, and maybe some of the UK performance back in August. It hasn't gotten shown in the US though hopefully soon.

Though I swear, if they got rid of Stalemate I'm going to be annoyed. That's my favorite song in the musical and I heard in the UK production they either took it out or trimmed it so it's barely there.

Just watched the Japanese one today! Light's pre-death tantrum was something to see, disturbing as hell but also really funny.

(If it ever comes to the US, definitely gonna see it with my mom. I've never seen her get attached to a fictional character, much less an animated one, the way she got attached to L.)
