In absolutely heartbreaking news, I checked on Bug and her kids this afternoon around 3pm before I left to sell some quail, and when I went to bring them in around 6:30pm, Bumblebee (the light one), was just... gone. Not a trace. I pulled Mantis from under Bug where she was covering it up, and reached back under and.... no Bumblebee.

I spent two hours out in the rain, digging around in the grass inside and outside of the pen, and found nothing. I called and called and called, and got no response. I lifted Wendy and Heather both up to see if maybe he'd somehow gotten under them, and he was not there; I DID find a scalped chick under Heather, so I removed Earl from the pen, in case this is his fault. But, I didn't even find a body, so my suspicion is that Bumblebee got out of the pen somehow, and got got by something else, or lost so badly he couldn't get back.

I know that there's nothing I could have done, outside of live out there with them 24/7 to ensure nothing ever goes wrong, but it sucks that I was not able to at least know WHAT went wrong.

So, they're inside for the night, and since it's evening and the last 10 eggs of the season are hatching, I took an EV baby from Aurora and Stella, and put her under Bug. I am hoping that, given an overnight to get used to hearing and feeling her, and the fact that they're on Bug's nest, Bug will accept her as a "late hatch" baby. So far so good... often if they're going to reject a baby, they'll do it as soon as they feel something weird under them. So I have hopes. Not high ones, but hopes.

I will probably post photos from the last few days over the next few days, so don't be surprised if you see Bumblebee. I am gonna miss my little buddy.

"why do you smoke??? just take edibles lol" so im sorry if you've never experienced or heard of this phenomenon but edibles dont work for everybody. from 10mg to 100mg to 200mg, i have never, ever gotten high off of something i've eaten. it isn't a matter of tolerance, i get high from any other method of intake, except eaten edibles. some sources say this has to do with your body weight, but seeing as i've been under 180 for all of my life, i can assume that's less of an issue. another huge factor is just how your body metabolizes drugs. the short of it is, your body's genetics may affect the way your digestive system produces enzymes, which will affect how quickly THC is metabolized into 11-Hydroxy-THC. if your body doesn't properly convert THC into 11-Hydroxy-THC, you will experience less or even no effects from edible cannabis.

commoragh is without question my favourite part of the game. with the area made of endless platforms, stairs and levels you are always moving upwards, digging yourself out of your grave (you literally start the quest in the pile of bodies at the very bottom). this layered structure where every area has its own particular brand of horror and torment and its own "sinners" is reminiscent in its logic with the classic concept of the nine circles of hell. i mean commoragh is functionally hell. you still have a camp there. if the previous chapter ends with the rogue trader on top of the world, commoragh strips you of everything. you are less than insignificant. your body is failing you. every single one of your companions is living through their personal nightmare. you could never imagine seeing them quite as broken until you do. and honestly you are not doing any better. you still have to put yourself together and drag each other to safety. and the importance of commoragh for romance cannot be underestimated. what can be more romantic than forced vulnerability and having no choice but to rely on each other to survive.

Good morning. Do you think that since Anne is now supposed to live until her 90s, while creating a copy of of her body, the guardian kind of "death proofed" it? Not in a major way, but the mole on her leg that could potentially turn cancerous in her 60s is now gone, even though she's had it since birth. Or maybe the arm she broke in amphibia may need surgery way down the line, so the guardian healed the bone completely and the scars on that arm like it never even happened, just so she wouldn't be put at risk during surgery? Imagine how violating that would be for her.... Having parts of her body that are insignificant or small but still HERS being completely changed and removed without her consent, just so that she can continue living long enough to fulfill the prediction and become god when she dies????

Once a Hero.

-Prologue-

Danny Phantom fought with the knowledge that at any given time he could be stricken dead. With the knowledge that his own parents, the people who brought him into this world, could be the ones to take him out permanently. The Job was already half done after all.

But no matter what, no matter his adversaries, Danny held strong. Despite the constant threat of the GIW and his parents, despites his rogues’ shenanigans and Vlad’s scheming, despite the citizen’s ungratefulness, he held his ground. Always staying true to his beliefs.

Yes, he made mistakes ,terrible ones. Yes, he has done things he would forever be ashamed of. But he never let others take responsibility for his actions. The very proof being his existence as Phantom.

There is no denying it, Danny Phantom/Fenton is a hero.

An existence to whom every victory comes hand to hand with tragedy.

An existence favored by fate.

And fate is known to be a cruel mistress.

He should have known something was up. It was too good to be true. He should have trusted his instinct. But he ignored it, choosing hope instead of the very thing that kept him alive all these years. All it took was one mistake for everything to domino into a nuclear warhead that quite literally took his everything.

And now, there he is on all four in the middle of a crater of what once was Amity Park and its surroundings. His ears ringing only able to hear the sounds of his own screams.

The once menace, once protector of a city too soon departed wailed in agony. Clutching at his wounds with a strength that reopened his sloppily made stitches. His devastated wails, only interrupted by his sobbed breath and hiccups. His throat was ripped to shreds, tainted ectoplasm pooling into his mouth and lungs while some got projected out with each wail.

Rivers of tears cascaded down his face burning his already bloodshot eyes. His unstable form glitching from ghost to human to something in between.

His once healthy balanced core was now struggling to remain whole. Cracks appearing all over, life and death fighting to preserve their precious Halfa’s existence. Danny felt his body and core beginning to give out. His consciousness finally fading. His body slowly being engulfed into the cold familiar embrace of death.

He fell on his back. His wails dying to choked wet sobs and coughs. Through his tears, Danny could only vaguely see the smoke covered nightsky. Ash falling slowly around him like snowflakes.

He could feel the cold creeping up his limbs then gripping his chest. His already dying heart being embraced by a type of cold even his core couldn’t dream to reproduce. Phantom finally fell silent, his unseeing eyes staring at the starless sky above.

Danny in his last few coherent thoughts felt the pain of his core shattering and reforming itself. It felt like his entire being was set on fire before being melded back together. He felt familiar arms cradling him close to their unbeating heart. The familiar ticking of a clock luring him into a dreamless rest.

HoA representitives have continued to trickle into my tower and meet their end in their quest for fees. I installed a few traps in the lower levels to make it easier for me.

I will admit that they must have a decent diviner, my glyphs should be protecting my tower from scrying and arcane eye but the HoA have added "trap style in tower does not match that of the rest of the neighborhood" to my list of offences.

like, pleasure looks such a specific way on satoru. we can see it in the tojigo fight, the hanami/jogo fight and the sukugo fight. they're the only moments where we truly get to see raw pleasure on him and it's that. eyes popping out and manic grin and laughter bubbling in his torso and body charged, and mannerisms especially crude.

there's something so animalistic about it, his "human" mask slipping from him and showing him in all his monstrous glory, unfiltered and raw and like the freak of nature he truly is

I can't stop thinking about the post from a few days ago about how Critical Role has been great at doing personal faith but didn't put the necessary work in to discuss the religious/god angle of c3 in-depth. Like the fact that Cardinal Respa was linked to both the Dawnfather and the Chained Oblivion is, on a personal level, very interesting (fallen/corrupted priest goes hard) but like does that mean that there's a Papacy somewhere in Exandria dedicated to the Dawnfather? If so, are there more cardinals who ordain the bishops of the Dawnfather? Are there Conclave-level intrigues going on in the Dawnfather's Sistine Chapel? Why is the Dawnfather so Christianity-coded in vibes alone if there's no actual outline of his religious organisations? With Downfall the Dawnchild/Dawnfather thing makes the allusions to Christ as Son of God co-existing with the Father textual - was there a Dawnfather Schism around whether the Dawnchild was a separate mortal? Was there a Reformation about how the Dawnfather's Pope kept selling indulgences? Is that why the priest of the Dawnfather Grog & Pike offer a drink to doesn't partake because of a cultural shift between Protestant-Temperance-League-coded and Catholic-coded Dawnfather congregations? Why do I have so many questions about the religious organisation of one of the most important Prime Deities in Exandria and to Critical Role's 3 campaigns? How on earth were the cast (and us as the viewers!) meant to care about the gods if all they had were "really tall kings" instead of interrogating how religious organisations provide both a place of healing and community to a wide range of people and also a place of horrific harm and abuse for a wide range of people?
