Danny loses a hand while in Gotham City. Luckily he can regrow it thanks to his powers, but it’s still annoying.

And to make things more stressful, he accidentally killed the weird clown guy that did it to him. It would presumably count as self defense, but still! He doesn’t want to deal with having killed a guy! So he runs off, accidentally leaving his hand behind in the process.

So now Jason, who witnessed that happen, wants to track him down to thank him. But he doesn’t have any idea who Danny is. His only real clue is the severed hand left behind
