Fun fact I was actually thinking about the end of Deus in Absentia and how we got a beautiful, full minute of chorus at the end of the song and why they didn’t do the same with the ending chorus in De Profundis Borealis. I like that chorus and I really wish it lasted longer.

I don't even really have the words. That was an incredible experience. What a gift. A gift to us, but also a gift that TF has.

It's going to need several (dozen) more listens but it's possible it surpasses Prequelle for me. Wow.

My main takeaway from this as I continue analysis - this is a HYMNAL.

I don't understand why some people are hating on De Profundis Borealis. This song is healing a specific spot in my soul.

It reminds me of all the times you do or say something, hoping it'll make something better but to no avail.

The "thaws the ice" bit of De Profundis Borealis lyrics sounds similar to "thaws the eyes" which could refer to crying. And there's "a palace built of frozen tears", what if it's about getting better by letting go of something heavy, feeling better when the morning comes, feeling more confident and comfortable due to the light and a chance to start over?

The way I pluck (stim) along to that little melody in the De Profundis Borealis chorus. The whole song just feels like autism solidarity to me:
