Day 4: Storm
Tumblr media
And here's one of my favorite ones I did for this. Tempest making quite the storm and looking a bit crazed while doing it. And I'm very happy with the dark clouds I did.

You anxiously looked over at the clock that was mounted on the wall, “The more you look at it, the slower it’ll move,” your tia commented as she noticed you looking at the clock for the seventh time in the past five minutes. “He said he’ll call before he got on his flight, his flight isn’t until Seven. Hours away, so would you please finish your homework before your father kills me because your grades slipped while he was away.”
You groaned, “It’s killing me that he hasn’t called to let me know he made it to the airport, not even a text!”
“He’s a busy man, Y/N. Plus you know how he is, he forgets where he places his phone like ever single minute, that’s why he’s so attached to that damn iPad,” Your tia commented as she continued to chop up vegetables for dinner. But she had a point, he could have let his phone in his carry on, or some obvious place that was in plain sight.
You knew your dad too well, sometimes you thought you knew him better than he knew himself. Sometimes it was true and it scared you. Why? Maybe it was because he was everything to you and you were everything to him. It had just been the two of you since your mother passed and it was as if her passing brought the two of you closer. You bonded over her death in a morbid way.
His mother passed when he was young, so he knew how to be a shoulder to cry on.
 He knew the right things to say and the wrong things to say.
He knew the things you would want to avoid, the people you wouldn’t want to see. Overall, he just knew the pain you would go through. Ever since you were just this dynamic duo.
When he was away filming, you missed him dearly, but it gave you time to spend with your cousins and family you don’t get to see as often.
“Any plans for his return home?” your tia asked, interrupting your thoughts.
“Well, I do have my tournament coming up, which is out of state and papi said we can go on a road trip. Take the scenic route and do all the stops.”
“He did mention that, he sounded pretty excited.”
“Yeah, plus this tournament is a pretty big deal, the top four teams will be competing to go to championship,” you explained. You wouldn’t say that soccer was your life, but you did love playing soccer. There was something about being on the field and just leaving everything on the sidelines, leaving all your trauma and past for a few hours and just being free.
You had gotten into soccer when you were fairly young. You remembered your parents always cheering for you in the sidelines and then it was just your dad, then sometimes it would only be your tia who always had her phone up with most likely, your dad on the other side of the phone. Slowly the emptier the sidelines got, the reason for you to play grew, the more you wanted to just be free from your mind.
The sound of your phone ringing interrupted your thoughts, you jumped up and ran towards your phone that sat at the kitchen counter. “Papi?” You said as you answered the call.
“Y//N,” he began to say.
“About time you called, I was beginning to worry you had missed your flight or something. Are you at the airport already?”
“No,” He sighed.
“You’re kind of cutting it close, you know that right?” you glanced at the clock, six thirty, it had read.
“Cariño, I need you to listen to me,” he sighed.
You sat back down at the kitchen table, “What’s wrong?” you asked. Your mind was quick to race to certain thoughts, someone could be dead, you thought. Who could it be? You had been with your tia Javiera for the past month and she was the oldest. Usually she was the first to know everything.
“I’m sorry, Cariño,” he began. Your heart began to race, an uneasy feeling crept over you like storm clouds. “I’m gonna have to stay here for a few more weeks.”
“A few more weeks? B-But you’ll be here for our road trip right?” You were met with silence, a sinking feeling took hold in your stomach, “Right?” you asked again.
“Mija,” he muttered. Pedro spent the whole day putting off this phone call for this reason. He had gotten your hopes up and he knew you weren’t going to take it easy.
“Did you tell them no?”
“I can’t tell the directors no,” he answered.
“Did you even try?” Your voice choked with disappointment, he couldn’t be doing this. He promised he wouldn’t become that parent.
“Mija, I can’t say no, I have to stay here and do reshoots.”
“But our road trip!” You exclaimed.
“I know and I’ll make it up to you, I promise.”
“Just like you promised to take me on this road trip?”
“Mija, por favor, Don’t do this to me,” he said, Pedro felt his heart heavy, he knew he was disappointing you and as much as he wanted to tell the directors to shove it and say no, he knew he couldn’t.
“Or like how you promised you’d never do this? How you promised you wouldn’t become that person.”
“Y/N,” When the first name came out, you knew he was beginning to get upset.
“Mija, give me the phone,” your Tia stepped in. She knew someone might say something they might regret and she didn’t want to see either of your hurt. But she forgot to realize you were her brothers daughter and just like him, you were stubborn too.
You held onto the phone, “You promised,” disappointment written over your voice, tears began to well up in your eyes.
“I know,” he whispered. If you had only seen how torn your father was at the moment, maybe you would have been okay with situation. Or maybe things would have turned differently, but you could only hear his voice and although, you heard the disappointment in his voice, you couldnt be bothered to care about it. All that mattered to you was that he had broken his first promise and you didn’t know if this was going to be the first of many and if so, what was next?
Would you be one of those kids that grew up only seeing their parents on the holidays and eventually writing a book titled, “My Parent, the Mandalorian, and the neglect I endured.” You never wanted to be one of those kids and when your dad first began to get bigger roles, he had promised you that you wouldn’t. That he wouldn’t become one of those famous parents.
You remained silent, hoping it was some kind of sick joke and maybe he’d say something along the lines of ‘Gotcha!’ or maybe he’d say ‘I’ll be there tomorrow, don’t worry!’ But seconds pass and he didn’t say any of it. “Okay,” you finally said.
“Mija,” Pedro began to say but you handed the phone to your tia.
“Pedro, it’s Javiera,” your tia said, a somber look fell on her face when she had heard him apologizing when she first took the phone. She felt bad for her little brother, but she also felt bad for you.
“Is she still there?” Pedro asks
Javiera looked at you, you wiped away tears that were managing to escape. You groaned to yourself, irritated with everything around you, you left the room. “She just left,” she replied.
“I fucked up, didn’t I?”
“Yeah,” she sighed.
“How do I fix this?” Pedro pleaded. Ever since your mother passed away, Pedro called his big sister for any little thing on parenting, he felt like every choice he made was the wrong one. Most of the time, it wasn’t, he was just overthinking it.
“There really is no way out of the reshoots? No way to reschedule?”
“Directors call,” he sighed. “I really fucked up, Javiera. No me va a perdonar” (She’s not gonna forgive me).
“No mas nicesieta tiempo. Let me talk to her, but for now
 give her some space.”
“Are you saying not to call her?” Pedro questioned.
“Or text
 just for a couple of days. If anything send her a goodnight text, but let’s not anger her more.” He let out a small sigh, Pedro always texted you. Even if he went the whole day without responding, he made sure to send a goodnight text every night.
“Alright,” he muttered. “I’m gonna need you to get in contact with the school, she’ll have to go with her team to the tournament.”
“I’ll contact them, and Pedro?”
“Mande?”
She let out a deep breathe, “It’s gonna be fine.”
Pedro tried his hardest to give himself a smile, to reassure himself that it would be fine and eventually it’ll pass, but he couldn’t. At the moment his heart was utterly broken, he had broken a promise, what felt like a sacred vow and now he had disappointed you. It probably wouldn’t be the first, but he sure as hell, hopes it wouldn’t become a habit.
Over the past week, you only left your room to go to school and shower. Your cousins dropped off your food in your room every day, you felt like they were somehow on your side. Your friends eventually began to blow up your phone, not only had you been distant with your family, but you’ve also been distant with them.
You felt your phone vibrate beside you, you groaned at the thought of getting a phone call from anyone. Picking up the phone you realized it was one of your teammates, Cassandra, “Yeah?”
“Finally you pick up,” Cassandra muttered. “Look, a bunch of us are going to go on a drive later tonight with Justin’s brother, he just got his license and we wanted to know if you want to join.”
“Can’t.”
“Oh come on, Y/N! You’ve been so distant and what will it hurt? You’re dad isn’t home anyway so he can’t say anything!”
You let out a sigh, she had a point, “I still have curfew.”
“So? Sneak out.”
You had to admit that Cassandra was a bad influence. She wasn’t your best friend, she was one of the girls in your soccer team. She was part of the older group in the varsity team, but she always invited you out. Part of you felt like she only did it because of your dads social status which is why you always declined her offer. That and because your dad didn’t really approve of you hanging out with her, he could always tell when someone was a bad influence. But Cassandra was right, he wasn’t here.
“Fine.”
“Really?” Cassandra asked taken back by your response.
“Like you said, my dad isn’t here, so it shouldn’t matter right?”
“Trouble in paradise?” She chuckled.
You rolled your eyes, “What time should I be ready?”
“We’ll pick you up at midnight, we’ll shoot you a text when we’re down the block,” Cassandra said before she hung up the phone. You felt your nerves beginning to get worked up, you had no idea what you just got yourself into, yet something inside you felt carefree.
If your dad were home, you knew he wouldn’t approve of you going out so late. He definitely wouldn’t have approved of you going on a joy ride with someone you didn’t even know and had just gotten their license. He wasn’t here though.
You remained in your room while you waited, your Tia Javiera came to check on you before she went to bed. Soon after you heard your phone vibrate on your desk, for a moment you thought it was Cassandra but it was still an hour away from midnight. You glanced at your phone,
Goodnight, Mija ♄
It was a message from your dad. You rolled your eyes and put your phone away. You spent the rest of your time getting ready, you wore something simple, but made sure to cover up from the cold. A few minutes past midnight you received a text from Cassandra saying that they were waiting down the block. You began to quietly make your way out of the house.
“Where you going?” you heard someone whisper.
You turned around to see your cousin Pedro in the middle of the kitchen, “Pedro, what are you doing up?”
He held up a sandwich, “where you going?”
You looked at him with pleading eyes, “I’m only going to be gone for an hour, it’s just a drive around the block with some friends.”
He chuckled, “I don’t care what you do, Y/N. I’ve been there before. Have fun and if you go to McDonalds bring me some fries, kay?”
You rolled your eyes, “whatever.” You playfully flipped him off before walking out of the house. You made sure to close the door softly behind you. Once you were in the clear you booked it down the street. You spotted Cassandra waving you down from a dark green Tahoe.
“This car is a piece of junk,” you commented as you got into the Tahoe.
“Hey, no disrespecting Hilda!” The driver who you assumed to be Jasons brother, exclaimed.
“She’s a piece of junk but she’s Marty’s piece of junk,” Jason commented.
“Correct!” Marty said. “Now let’s get this party started!”
~~
Pedro woke up in a startle to the sound of his phone ringing, at first he had thought it was just his dream, but the sound slowly began to get louder and louder until finally he woke up. He groaned, “who the fuck is calling so early?” he muttered to himself.
“Hello?” he answered in an annoyed tone.
“Pedro?” he heard his sister on the other line, her voice sounded strain.
“Javiera?” Pedro quickly sat up.
“Pedro,” Javiera’s voice trembled, there was some ruffling sounds on the other line.
“Javiera?” No answer. “Javier, que te pasa?”
“Pedro?” Javiera’s husband had taken over the phone.
“Augustine? Que esta pasando?” (What’s happening) Pedro was no sitting on the side of his bed, he no longer felt drowsy.
Augustine sighed, “Pedro, no se como dicier te. Y/N snuck out a few hours ago,”
“Shit,” Pedro let out a deep breath he didn’t know he was holding in. His mind had been racing to a million scenarios. “Well that’s a first,” he chuckled.
“Pedro,” Augustine said softly.
Pedro closed his eyes, the way Augustine said his name, he knew what it meant. “Is she okay?” Pedro asked as his voice trembled.
“She was in a car with a bunch of her friends and some drunk driver, he was driving over a hundred miles, the kid didn’t have a chance to react.”
“Augustine, is my baby okay?” Pedro was beginning to get ansty.
“She’s in the ICU,” Pedro could hear his sister crying in the background.
“Is she okay?” Pedro asked again.
“You need to get here as fast as possible, Pedro. She’s at Saint Mary’s Memorial Hospital, you know where that is?”
“Saint Mary’s, yeah,” Of course he knew where it was. He could never forget, it was the same hospital you were born at and now you were there again, but in different circumstances. Pedro was quick to hang up, calling his Director in the middle of night was something he would never do, unless it was something like this. Something like his daughter was hanging on by a thread and he didn’t care about anyones sleep, he just needed to get on the first plane back to New York.
The directors were understanding of the situation, they even helped Pedro get back to New York within the hour. He had never received treatment like that, but he was thankful for it.
Pedro had just a carry on, leaving most of his luggage back at the hotel with his assistant. He didn’t need much anyway, just the essentials.
Once he got out of the airport, he flagged down a taxi. The ride to the hospital seemed to be the longest ride ever. Pedro was anxious to get there, anxious to see you and to make sure you were okay. She’s in the ICU, Augustine’s voice kept repeating those words in his head like a broken record player. The sound of his sisters cries over the phone brought back memories he had thought he buried.
His thoughts were quickly interrupted by the brief halt of the car, Pedro looked out of the car window to see that he had arrived to his destination. “Thanks,” he said to the cab driver as he handed him some cash before bolting out of the car and into the hospital.
The sun was beginning to rise when Pedro finally arrived, he rushed over to the front desk. “May I help you, sir?”
“Uh- my, my daughter,” Pedro let out a shaky breath.
The receptionist knew that look too well, she had seen it so many times. “What’s the name?” she asked softly.
“Y/N Pascal.”
SHe was quick to type the name in, knowing that the last thing he wanted to do was wait any longer. “Take the elevator to floor three.”
“Thank you!” Pedro ran over to the elevator, punch the button for floor three.
He ran out of the elevator once they opened.
“Pedro!” He heard his sister exclaim.
Pedro let out a sigh of relief, he ran over to her and gave her a hug.
“I’m sorry,” she sobbed.
“It’s alright,” he looked over at his nephews, they both were distraught of the situation. “You boys okay?”
Young Pedro looked over at his uncle, tears in his eyes, “I should’ve stopped her, Tio. I’m sorry.”
“It’s okay,” he pulled his nephew into the hug. Pedro didn’t know why he was trying to comfort everyone at the moment, maybe a part of him felt like it was his responsibility because he felt so much guilt. “Where is she?”
“The doctors have her in surgery right now, she had some internal injuries they hoped to repair.” Pedro choked back the tears, he sat down on one of the chairs nearby. “They said by the looks of the crash site, she got the worse of it. She was sitting in the spot the car impacted with.”
Pedro pinched the bridge of his nose, “How bad is it?”
“The doctors said something about possible physical therapy,” Javiera added. “It’s still all unknown at the moment.”
“This is all my fault.”
“Don’t say that, Pedro.”
“She isn’t that kind of kid, Javiera! She would’ve never done this unless she was really mad at me,” Pedro let out a shaky breath. Javiera placed a comforting hand on her brothers shoulder. “I can’t lose her, Javiera,” Pedro sobbed.
“I know,” she whispered. She let Pedro cry into her shoulder and he cried for a while. After about an hour, he began to calm down, everyone sat in silence as they waited for the doctors to come out. Hours passed by when finally a doctor walked out of the doubled doors and to the Pascal family.
“Family of Y/N Pascal?” the doctor nervously figeted with his hands.
Pedro stood up quickly, “How is she?”
The doctor cleared his throat, he never like this part of the job, speaking to the family. “There was a lot of damage and we did the best we could,” Pedro felt a sob make its way into his throat, he tried his best to hold it back, it wasn’t bad news yet. “But she’s steady now.” Pedro let out a deep breathe. “This isn’t the end of her journey yet, she has a long road of recovery. She’s lucky to be alive.”
Pedro had tears falling from his eyes, his baby girl was okay. “Thank you,” he said to the doctor, “Can I see her?”
“Of course, I’ll take you to her.” The doctor led Pedro through the doubled doors, “She’s in the post Surgery, we’ll be moving her back to the ICU later today.” The doctor stood beside one of the doors, “She’ll have a lot of wires surrounding her, it may look scary but it’s what’s keeping her alive. She might not wake up right away, if anything we don’t expect her to wake up for a few days. It’s common in severe crash victims,” the doctor explained. “The tube in her throat will be taken out once she can breathe on her own.”
“Can I touch her at least?”
The doctor nodded, “It’s like handling a newborn, you have to be a bit careful.” The doctor tried to give Pedro a reassuring smile.
“Thank you,” he said softly before opening the door. The doctor was right, the way the wires surrounded you scared Pedro. “Oh baby girl,” he said softly as he walked up to the bed. “I’m sorry,” he let out a sob. He sat on the chair beside your bed, taking your hand into his, he placed a kiss on the top of your hand. “I’m sorry I broke our promise, but you need to wake up for me okay?” He slowly moved a strand of hair out of your face, careful to not touch the tubing and wires. “Te quiero mucho, Y/N. No puedo vivir sin ti.” (I love you so much, Y/N. I can’t live without you).
As the days passed, Pedro stayed beside your bedside during the day and during the night. He never left your bedside, not even to shower although he was beginning to get remarks about how he smelled. He didn’t care, he wanted to make sure he was there when you woke up.
It had been a full week and you still hadn’t woken up. The doctors were beginning to worry, they started to do more tests to make sure they didn’t miss anything before or to see if anything new showed up.
“Pedro, you need to go home and at least shower,” Augustine said as he placed a plate of food on a small table nearby.
“I’m fine,” Pedro said as he kept his eyes on you. Augustine sighed, it was no use, there was really nothing that was going to convince Pedro to leave the room.
“Come on, Cariño,” Pedro said softly. “You need to wake up.” he squeezed your hand gently. Pedro was about to let go when he felt you squeeze his hand, his eyes widen and he squeezed your hand again. Few seconds later your squeezed his hand, “Yes!” he exclaimed. He got up from his chair, “She squeezed my hand!” he yelled out to the nurses that were outside the door. They came rushing in, beginning to check your pupils and your vitals.
“Get the doctor,” one of them commanded the other.
The doctor was ecstatic to see the vitals go up, “Y/N, if you can hear me, squeeze your dads hand.” You squeezed your dads hand again. Seconds later your eyes fluttered opened, you winced at the brightness of the room. You felt something lodge in your throat, you lifted your arm to touch it, “no, no we’ll take it out for you, dear.”
“She’s awake,” Pedro said in disbelief.
“We’ll need to get the tubing out,” the doctor said. Pedro got up from his spot on the bedside, let the doctor take the tubing out from your mouth. “Your mouth is gonna feel dry for a couple of days, it’s common,” he began to say as he checked your pupils again. “Do you know where you are?”
“The-” you coughed, a nurse handed your cup of water. “The hospital?”
“Good, what year is it?”
“Twenty Twenty Three.”
“What’s your name?”
“Y/N.”
“And who’s that?” The doctor pointed over at your dad.
“My dad,” you said softly.
The doctor smiled, “We’ll run some more tests later,” he said to your dad, “I’ll leave you two alone for a now.”
Your dad thanked the doctor, he waited until they all left to go back to his spot by the bedside. You bothe remained quiet for a few minutes, one waiting for the other to speak. The other trying to get the courage to speak.
You let out a shaky breath, “I’m sorry,” you whisepred. “It was really stupid.”
Pedro shook his head, pulling you into a warm embrace, “It doesn’t matter,” he said softly. “All that matter is that you’re here and you’re alive.” He let go of the embrace, holding your head in his hands, “that’s all that matters to me right now, okay?” You gave him a nod, “I thought I was gonna lose you,” he choked out.
“I’m sorry,” you trembled.
“Que paso, Amor? How did it happen?”
You shrugged, “One second we were heading back and the next thing I know, I heard screaming and it was dark,” you sniffled. “Is everyone else okay?”
Your dad nods, “You got the worse of it. Cassandra was pretty shooken up, but they all got minor scratches and concussions.”
“Lucky me,” you said sarcastically. Your dad kissed the top of your head, “I really am sorry about everything.”
“No, I’m sorry, I broke a promise.”
“I overreacted,” you confessed.
“I don’t think you did,” he said softly. “I mean, I get it, we had a promise I wouldn’t break promises or cancel on you for work, especially with thing like your tournament. I wouldn’t let you become one of those kids with a book on how their parent was the worst parent ever.” you chuckled, causing your dad to smile, “I broke that promise and it scared you, and I’m sorry.”
“Thank you and I’m sorry I overreacted and landed myself in the most expensive place on earth that isn’t Disneyland.”
Your dad let out a laugh, “Forgiven.”
“Forgiven,” you repeated. “Now, how bad is this?” you gestured to your broken leg, “Is my soccer career totaled?”
“Soccer career? I thought you wanted to become an actor like your old man?”
“Well, acting wasn’t my first choice, but depending on this, it might just become my first choice.”
Pedro rolled his eyes, “Well, you’ll have physical therapy for sure, but let’s talk about it when we get there.”
“Alright, but can we talk about something else?”
“Dime (tell me).”
“Can you go shower?” you scrunched up your nose, “I’m pretty sure your B.O. is what woke me up!”
Pedro rolled his eyes, “Alright, alright, I’ll call your tia over to be with you while I go shower.” Pedro watched as you covered your nose in exaggeration, usually he would say something petty, but right now he just wanted to admire you and the fact that you were still alive. “Te amo, mija.”
“Y yo a ti, papi,” you gave him a smile, knowing that everything was going to be okay and that if you did write a book in the future, it’d probably be about how you grew up blessed to be Pedro Pascal’s daughter.

hi can I request a fic where Nat works as a teacher and catchs a bad cold/flu which is going round. Nat tries to teach as usual but her constant sniffling and sneezing is too much, then R gets a call from the Nurses office asking for her to come and pick Nat up. maybe using the prompts “Do you actually think I’ve had time to go out and get a flu-shot?”  “It’s chaos here. I can’t just stop working because I have the sniffles.” and “Baby, I think this is more than just the sniffles.”
Nurse’s Office
〚 Notes – This was such a cute request that I had to do it literally as soon as possible. My brain was just full of ideas for this. I’ve gotten so many reqs too, I'm genuinely almost at 40 so I may have to close my inbox soon just so I don’t get overwhelmed with them all! Slightly desperate to feedback on this too! I think it’s the longest fic I’ve done :) 〛
〚 Summary - Nat loves her job as a teacher, she gives it her all but it seems she has a lesson to learn when it comes to taking care of herself. 〛
〚 Wordcount - 4310 〛

Nat was sure she felt fine earlier that morning but as she sat hunched over her desk, she couldn’t help but squint as the overhead light shone down directly into her eyes. Looking over her lesson plan for the day, she sighed. First period was the youngest class of students that she taught and it was safe to say they were a handful. Glancing over to the main clock on the wall, Natasha realised she didn’t have long before her students were due to arrive. At least she didn’t have a lot to set out, she’d stayed late the previous night to photocopy some worksheets and papers.
Walking round the room, Nat made sure every student had the correct worksheet on their desk, she was just placing the final paper down when she felt a sudden prickle in her sinuses. Twitching her nose only amplified the annoying itch and Nat knew she was going to-
“Hi’kkshiew!”
Natasha buried her face into her elbow as she sneezed, sniffling slightly afterwards. As she sniffled Nat felt the familiar feeling of congestion begin to settle in her sinuses and quickly came back to her desk to grab a tissue. The sound of a loud bell rung as Nat swiped a few from the box and she’d just finished blowing her nose when students began to fill the room.
She took a moment to gaze around the classroom and was greeted by twenty-seven rowdy children. It wasn't the first time she'd felt anxious, when standing infront of class. Nat wouldn’t call herself an experienced teacher just yet, she’d been working at this school since graduating almost 4 years ago but even so, she still had her moments of doubt.
She opened her mouth to say a cheery ‘good morning’ only the words got caught in her throat, leading her to cough to a little. She thought nothing of it though, simply clearing her throat a few times before continuing her greeting, trying hard to ignore the growing pain at the back of her throat.
“...so today we’ll be looking at genetics. Does anyone know what DNA is?” She looked around among the raised hands before calling on a student, “yes?”
The student gave a pretty good answer and Nat nodded in agreement.
“Ah, well done, that’s correct. The only thing  I need to add is that DNA is made up – Hh- of a double hel-Hh'tshiew! Oh, excuse me!” Nat had to fight to stop herself from blushing red with embarrassment as she sneezed down against her wrist.
Natasha rubs her eyes and her sinuses in unison, wiping at the wetness that trails from her nose. A sudden pain throbs deep within her throat, behind her sternum. And hacking, wheezing cough sent left her leaning against her desk as she tried to compose herself.
The students chuckle to themselves as they shift in their seats. One boy turns to whisper something to his friend, and they both giggle at Natasha. The boy behind him—the one who had answered the question—looks her in the eye and laughs. Natasha's skin stings, but she refuses to let it bother her. "What?" she asks. "What is so funny?"
  She sends them a glare, instantly silencing them before continuing on with her lesson,
Only throughout the hour, that pain at the back of her throat only grows worse and she’s beginning to sniffle repetitively. The room feels heavier—hotter—and her vision is dimming slightly.
But still Nat pushes through, and by the time the bell rings to dismiss the class, she’s exhausted. Her voice is failing fast and her throat is quickly being shredded with her increasing sneezes. In the small 5-minute window between lessons Nat had already gone through 8 tissues and that number only increased from there.
Second period soon came. The school bell chimed again and soon enough, her second class of the day came flooding in, their loud chatter striking a painful throb through her temples.
Natasha didn’t even bother to try and talk instead; she scrolled through her computer’s files to find a relevant video to play on the projector. The video barely got 5 minutes into in before Nat had to quickly scramble to grab a tissue before sneezing loudly.
"Bless you!" a boy piped up in response, he's wearing a bright orange sweatshirt. His legs swinging back and forth under the desk. "Are you okay Mrs Romanoff? Do you have that bug that’s going round?”
Natasha coughs into her elbow, the sound making several students visibly recoil, “I'm fine thank you.” She tries to muster up her best reassuring smile but it seems nobody is convinced.
The students exchange uneasy glances amongst themselves as their teacher held her head in her hands. Nat grimaced, she could feel her skin breaking out into a sweat beneath her blouse and her vision is beginning to fade in and out as the room grows hotter and hotter. Even the noise from the ongoing video seems somewhat distorted as she tries desperately to not disturb anyone any further but the urge to sleep was almost overbearing and Nat could feel her eyes slowly drifting closed

“Mrs Romanoff?” A recognisable voice pulled Natasha from her slumber as she blinked groggily giving a little groan at the pressure which had settled behind her eyes. She tried to sniffle but was met with a snuffly noise of congestion, “Mrs Romanoff?”
Nat blinked up, as she tried to shield her eyes from the lights overhead, had they somehow gotten even brighter? Looking up Nat saw the worried face of her colleague, Miss Leslie. Miss Leslie was older than Nat but they’d both been hired around the same time and the two of them had developed a fairly close relationship – it helped that they both shared an office space too - so it wasn’t unusual for either of them to quickly stop by in each other's classes but this time was different.
The loud background chatter of Nat’s students was almost too much for her to handle, “Quiet!” Natasha tried to sound authoritative but her voice came out in a weary rasp, barely audible to anyone other than her close by colleague.
“Natasha?” Miss Leslie spoke in a hushed voice, “One of your students just came into my class and said that I had to come back with him immediately. Natasha, I’m not surprised he did. You look awful honey. Are you feeling okay?”
“I’m fine.” Nat mumbled, “Just a little tired. I just need to get through the rest of this lesson then I’ll drink some coffee or something.” She sniffled, feeling her nose begin to run again.
Miss Leslie’s concerned eyes looked over Nat again then to her students, “Forget coffee, you sound like you need to be in bed. You caught whatever gross bug thats  been sweeping its way round this place?”
“I’m fine, absolutely per-Hh- Hhet’tshoo! Hush’tshoo!”
“No Natasha, you’re not. Seriously, go back to our office, I’m taking over for you.” Miss Leslie’s voice was firm in her words as she urged the redhead to stand, not missing the way she swayed in place, “Go sit down, I’ll be there soon.”
Miss Leslie’s hand came to grip Natasha’s shoulder as she helped her up out of the seat, her careful eyes watching over the redhead as she wordlessly shuffled out of the room and towards her office.
Nat wasn’t even sure how much time had passed when the door to her office swung open, letting in a cold breeze with it. She didn’t bother to look over, she didn’t bother to look anywhere, hell, even just opening her eyes hurt. Everything was a blur.
There was a voice somewhere in the room though she couldn’t quite make out any words. Everything felt muffled. Nat barely even registered the fact that her colleague had come to squat down beside her until she felt the touch of a hand clasp her forehead lightly.
“Oh honey, this isn’t good.” The concerned voice of Miss Leslie sighed, only then did Nat find the strength to look up at the worried face of her colleague, “You’re way too hot.”
“Leslie? What are you doing?” Nat mumbled as she forced herself to sit upright, the room spinning as she did so, “What about the class?”
“They're on break. Its 11pm, didn’t you hear the bell?”
Nat shrugged, no, she definitely did not hear any bell. She was about to get up when she felt that familiar prickle in her sinuses forcing her to quickly swivel around in her chair to avoid sneezing all over her colleague.
“Hh’iishoo! hHeh’ktshhiiew!”
“Bless you.” The older woman replied as she squeezed the redhead’s shoulder, “You aren’t seriously thinking about going back to class still?” She asked in shock as the younger teacher went to pick up her files.
“I have too, I have my upper-years next and we’re already behind schedule, theres so-“ Nat broke off from her teary rambles with a loud barking cough, it felt as if her chest was constricting with every breath.
“Natasha you can’t go on like this, we’ve both seen how many bugs and germs are spreading round this place. Hell, we’re basically working in a petri-dish and I know we’re meant to push through when we’re not feeling too well for the sake of the kids but Nat, you really shouldn’t be here.”  The older woman sighed deeply as she lectured the younger teacher.
“I- I just feel like everything’s going wrong today.” The redhead finally admitted as she wiped at her teary eyes, “I felt fine this morning and now-“ She sniffled thickly, unable to breathe properly through her stuffy nose.
“I know, I know.” The older woman sympathised as the younger teacher went to grab some tissues from the box on her desk, “Maybe we should let the nurse take a look at you.”
Nat sent her a look, “I don’t really think that’s necessary. It’ll just waste her time.”  She sighed wearily as she rubbed at her temples again. That congestion really wasn’t helping her headache at all.
“Honey, I mean no offence by this at all but you’re a mess. I’ve never seen you like this and quite frankly it’s a little worrying, so please? Let me put my mind at rest, go and see the nurse Natasha.”
Natasha took another tissue as another set of raspy coughs choked up through her throat. God I really am a mess. Nat admitted to herself. Her throat feels like a lump of coal and she swore she could almost feel the fluid in her sinuses sloshing about like stagnant sludge. Just to avoid her co-worker's concerned stare, she reached to the desk beside her and grabs a pen, feebly scribbling onto a sticky note.
To Substitute,
Textbooks are in the back cupboard. Get the upper-years to read page 18 and answer the questions using correct exam technique. Put an educational film on for the younger ones. Email me if needed.
- Mrs Romanoff
Miss Leslie gave Nat a nod as she read over the sticky note which had been pressed into her hand – though she did discreetly scribble out the final sentence when Nat’s back was turned, “Don’t worry, I’ll make sure everything goes smoothly. Now come on, let me give you a hand getting to the nurse's office. I doubt you’ll make it on your own...”
"Thanks..." Nat mutters as Leslie props her up, helping her hobble down the hallway. She grips onto the older lady's arm, feeling as though she'd collapse any second. Her lungs burn and her brain is hazy. She tries to focus, to listen to what Leslie's saying... but everything feels so far away. It's as though it's happening through the lenses of a camera. Every time she blinks, the hallway spins a little faster. Her legs are like lead weights, her arms limp noodles, and she doesn't stop shivering. All around her are the confused stares of students, not used to seeing their usually so resilient teacher being helped down the hallway but Nat doesn’t notice, she hears only a dull, thudding heartbeat as her skin tingles with fever.
〘✧〙
You day had been pretty boring. You’d finished all your work so you had just been sitting at your desk, scribbling away on Microsoft Paint on the computer infront of you, you were halfway through drawing a little picture of a flower when the screen of your phone lit up as it began to vibrate from across the table. Snatching your attention, you picked up the device and looked at the number displayed on the incoming call, unknown. Strange. You tried to think back to see if you could remember anyone that had been meaning to call you recently but you came up with nothing so with a shrug, you pressed on the little green button and accepted the call.
“Hello? Is this Y/N speaking?” A friendly voice came through the phone, an older woman by the sound of it.
“Hi, yes, it is. Can I help you?” You replied, trying to see if you could recognise the voice.
  “This is the nurse speaking, from Natasha’s school. Natasha’s actually here with me right now, she’s not feeling very well at all. Is it possible for you to come and collect her?”
“Nat’s sick?” Your mouth dropped open in surprise, she had seemed fine that morning, “okay, I’ll be there as soon as possible.”
The call ended and you quickly gathered up your things before rushing over to your boss's office to explain the situation. He didn’t have an issue with you leaving, especially since you’d already gotten the day's work done, infact he even told you to take the rest of the day off – he knew you’d only be worried sick if you came back. You said a very grateful thankyou before jogging out of your office towards the company car park, quickly starting the ignition and driving off in the direction of Nat’s school.
You made sure to park close to the entrance as you entered the school grounds. With a swift click of your keys, you locked your car and headed towards the entrance. The school Nat taught at was nice, that’s one of the reasons Nat loved teaching so much, the campus was great. Entering the reception, a young-looking brunette smiled at you over from the desk, her nametag reading ‘Miss Sharp’.
“Hi, I got a call from the nurse to come pick up Mrs Romanoff.” You explained politely and a knowing look flashed across the receptionist's face.
“Oh, you’re Natasha’s wife! It’s lovely to meet you finally, I’ve heard great things about you,” The receptionist smiled as you blushed slightly, “Why on earth she decided to come in today is a mystery to me, I'm not surprised that you’re here to take her home. Anyway, the nurse's office is just through the main doors, take a right and then keep going down the hall. It’s a white door, you can't miss it.”
You flashed her a grateful smile, “Thank you so much.”
“No problem!”
The sound of the school bell rang as you approached the white door at the end of the corridor, getting closer you could see the distinct label of ‘Nurse’s Office’ displayed beside the door. You knocked on the door lightly and waited until you heard a faint voice call “Come in.”
Opening the door, you were greeted by a kind, elderly face. Her nametag simply read, ‘Cindy’.
“Mrs Romanoff’s wife? Y/N? Is that correct?” She asked.
“Yes, that’s right.,” You replied with a nod, but the rough sound of pained coughing came from round the corner just beyond your sight, and you hoped to God that Nat wasn’t the one making it, ”You called me about Nat?”
Cindy seemed to pick up on the worried tone slipping into your voice as you spoke, “I did. She’s been adamant on working, but I’ve kept her here for the last hour or so,” The next sound you recognised, you winced at the sound of Nat’s desperate sneezes which echoed through the office, “Poor dear... She’s been like that the whole time; I hate to think that she’s been teaching in that condition. She’s just through here.”
As Cindy rounded the corner and motioned for you to follow, you felt your shoulders drop upon recognising Nat. Her back was resting against the wall as she sat on a bed.  The light pink blouse that she had left in earlier that morning was sitting at the end of the bed, only now the blouse was noticeably damp in certain areas and she was now dressed in a loose-fitting black t-shirt with the school's emblem embellished on the front.
“Natasha!” You gasped, quickly scurrying to her side as you reached up to cup her feverish cheek,  "Baby, you're completely burning up." You whispered as you looked over her flushed face and wet neck.  The warmth of her skin spread to your fingers as you reached up to place your palm against her forehead, prompting you to bite your lip nervously.
“She hasn’t let me take her temperature yet,” Cindy sighed, shaking her head in disapproval, “I was hoping you’d convince her otherwise.”
“Nat...” You frowned as you crossed your arms, you voice taking on a serious tone. You took a firm grip on Natasha's cheek, so she’d look you in the eye and her head tilts to the side in a gesture of mild defiance. The tip of your thumb traces her cheekbone. "Nat, you're so warm, we need to know what your temp is so we can help you feel better. Please?”
“Fine.” Natasha’s voice comes out in a throaty rasp, it’s the first time you’ve heard her speak and you definitely didn’t like how she sounded at all. If she had sounded anything like how she currently did earlier that morning, you would’ve practically forced bed rest upon her... Speaking of though, why hadn’t Nat seemed ill this morning?
Cindy nodded appreciatively towards you as she went to retrieve the thermometer from her desk. It was the old type of one and she instructed Natasha to place it beneath her tongue as you asked the burning question, “How long have you felt sick for ‘Tasha, tell me the truth.”
Nat thought for a moment, in all honestly, it had all her hit at once. She had felt a little sluggish this morning sure, but it was nothing compared to how she felt now. When Nat went to voice this, she interrupted by the frantic itching of her nose. Despite trying to hold back the tickle, she only had seconds to quickly snatch the device out from her mouth before sneezing down into her cupped hands.
“Hah’hishoo! Hhih-tschiew! Hh-Hi'TshhIEW”
“Goodness, bless you honey.”
You expected Nat to put the thermometer back in her mouth, but she kept her hands cupped over her mouth; her eyes slightly wider than earlier as she looked towards you then down to the tissue box over on the table beside the bed. You knew instantly what she wanted, and she sent you a pitiful look as you handed her a tissue. You waited until she’d finished to pick up the nearby trashcan and you held it up so that she could throw her soggy tissue away.
“So, how long has it been?” You repeated once Nat had settled back down.
She shrugged a little, “I was a little tired this morning before I left, but it mainly hit after I got in, it all seemed to come at once.”
You looked over to Cindy to see if this was even possible and she was giving an understanding nod, “That’s how the flu tends to come on I’m afraid. It usually hits pretty hard and fast. Can you finish taking your temperature for me though poppet?” The nurse kindly urged, picking up the thermometer and holding it to her mouth. Nat saw no point in arguing. It’d only end with you getting annoyed with her so reluctantly she opened and held the device beneath her tongue.
"38.9," Cindy comments after a moment, turning the thermometer upside down to observe the final reading, "Oh, bless. You should’ve stayed home today dear."
The way her head slumps forward in her exhaustion is heart breaking. She looks utterly miserable as she weakly excuses, “It’s chaos here. I can’t just stop working because I have the sniffles. There's already so many students off sick so I’m having to set all the catch-up work and then th-Hh-theres the overdue –Hih- inspectio-HH-Heh’iishioo! H-Heh..Heh’kshuu!”
“Poor thing bless you, but I’m sorry baby, I think this is more than just the sniffles.” You pouted sympathetically as you sat down beside her, and in response Nat let her tired head come to rest against you, “you’re working yourself way too hard.”
“Sniffles? Deary me, I’ve seen so many cases of flu this week Mrs Romanoff, and you’ve got one of the worst I’ve seen by far. Like I said, the flu usually comes on pretty fast, it fits your symptoms.” Cindy sighed as Nat began to cough roughly, her lungs making an awful chesty sound and you could practically hear how the congestion in her chest shifted, “I see your flu shot did nothing to help though.”
“About that... I haven’t got one yet” Nat admitted with a wet sniffle as she brought her hand to her temple, trying to get some relief from the throbbing in her head.
"Nat." You whispered, disappointment and pity seeping into your words as you nudged her gently with your elbow. She shifts as she sniffles against your shoulder, staring up at you with a hint of blearily defiance. You tilt her chin up, and she's looking back at you with a mix of exhaustion and guilt. "We've been over this. I told you to go and get one weeks ago. It’s important.”
Both you and Cindy sighed as Nat sneezed again, “Do you actually think I’ve had time to go out and get a flu-shot? She only paused to accept the tissues that you’d reached forward and grabbed for her, “I’ve just been so busy lately, I guess I forgot about it.”
"You didn't forget. You just prioritized other things." Cindy spoke up, her friendly tone being replaced by a stern motherly edge as she chided your wife.
It seemed Nat hadn’t heard that tone being used by her before, you noticed that her lip trembled a little at the voice and how her eyes drifted towards the floor at the sharp reminder that she could have protected herself against the virus. She shifts and rests her arms at her front, folding them as she mutters a quiet, “I'm sorry."
The way your heart squeezed at seeing her pout was indescribable, and the sight of her slightly-teary gave you no choice other than to wrap your arms around her shoulders and pull her in for a tight hug, your fingers combing through the softness of her hair as you whispered, "It's okay, moya lyubov, It's okay."
“You should make sure she gets lots of rest and fluids, keep her hydrated.” Cindy instructed as she came to give your shoulder a much-needed comforting squeeze, you weren't exactly doing the greatest job of hiding your worry, “She’ll be okay dear, Mrs Romanoff just needs to learn when to give in and let herself rest instead of running herself ragged.”
“It won't happened again...” The redhead mumbled apologetically as you helped her stand with a supporting hand before giving in to your urge to pick up your feverish wife, supporting her carefully in your strong arms.
“I’ve got you baby,” You whispered, kissing her forehead when she leant it against your shoulder, hiding her face in the crook of your neck, “Thank you so much for calling me, I really appreciate you looking after her.” You gave a genuine smile to the elderly nurse as she went to hold the door open for you.
“It’s not a problem at all. It’s my job to take care of people, be they students or stubborn teachers.” Cindy smiled as you said your final thankyous and goodbyes.
You said another goodbye to the kind lady in the reception as she buzzed the door to let you out but not before letting her know that Nat wouldn’t be in work for the next week or so. It was a good job you’d decided to park close to the door, it meant you were quickly able to get Nat out of the windy weather and into the warmth of your car. Setting her door in the passenger seat, you reached across to buckle in her seat belt, placing another gentle kiss to her forehead, your touch bringing a sense of comfort to the fevered woman. Natasha had to turn her head away from you as she sneezed down into the collar of the fabric of the cotton t-shirt and you regretted not thinking to bring any tissues with you.
“Bless you my love. You’ll be okay, I promise. We’ll get you home in no time, okay?” Your tone was soft as you closed the passenger door and came round to the driver's side. Sitting down in your seat, you made sure Nat was comfortable before starting the car and pulling out of the parking lot. You both wanted to get home as soon as possible.
“Thank you for coming to get me.” Nat mumbled tiredly as she let her head come to rest on the window, the coolness of the glass providing some comfort against the heat blazing through her.
“Don’t worry about it my love, I’m sorry you’re so sick.” You replied as you speedily drove down the empty streets, “We’ll get you feeling better soon, okay?”
“Okay.”

20 questions for fic writers
Thanks @captaincravatthecapricious for the tag!
1. How many works do you have on Ao3?
80, apparently!
2. What’s your total Ao3 word count?
234,199
3. What fandoms do you write for?
Currently not really any because my muse fuckin packed her bags and took a vacation, but Malevolent, Halo, and Destiny are the big ones. I'd like to do more for Warframe and FFXIV, though!
4. What are your top five fics by kudos?
strange domains (TMA/Malevolent)
It's Called Supervising (Destiny... the power of putting Cayde-6 in your fic, I swear)
once in a movie night (Malevolent)
where you go, i go (TMA/WTNV)
Treason (Hollow Knight/Destiny AU)
5. Do you respond to comments?
I'm trying to be better about it! A lot of the time, though, I simply don't know what to say and fall into the "how do I respond to birthday wishes" trap because writing "Thanks!" a bunch feels disingenuous even though I am thankful and glad someone liked the fic enough to comment
6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
Ptttthhhbbbbbbbb, probably the one where Bornstellar finds his family all floodified on the Halo Chakas & Riser got marooned on in Primordium
(I have not reread this fic in ages bc I remember not being super happy with how it was written and don't want to see I published a disaster lol)
7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
Oh, so many of them. Happy fluffy nonsense is my wheelhouse. If I have to pick one, though, maybe day 7: we fucking did it just because I don't think any other characters have Gone Through It as much as John & Arthur have, so they would get the most joy from a lazy day at the river
8. Do you get hate on fics?
Nah
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
Absolutely not lmao
10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?
I do! If we take "craziest" to mean "silliest" probably the Destiny/WTNV crossover thing I flirted with for a while in 2016 (old woman Josie lives in the desert with a house full of taken)
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Not to my knowledge
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
Again, not to my knowledge
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
@warlordfelwinter and I were writing a novelized version of a D&D campaign we were in, by which I mean Fel did the bulk of the writing and I filled in the Alexa-specific parts!
14. What’s your all time favorite ship?
Bornstellar/Splendid Dust! My boys! My beloveds! I'm pspsps-ing people into this sandbox with me because right now there are 4 fics for them on AO3 and they're all mine
15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
Any of them 😭
16. What are your writing strengths?
Dumb shit. But I like to think I'm also good at writing weird stuff (I also just have a lot of fun writing weird stuff, like Fundament and the Dark World)
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
Plots.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?
I wouldn't dare unless I was fluent, which will basically never happen...
19. First fandom you wrote for?
Transformers, baybee! I think at this point I've lost all of my TF fic from my ff.net days due to time and computer moves, which is a real shame, because I wrote a TF/ST crossover centered on tribbles once that I remember being one of the best things I've ever written... Maybe if I'm lucky it's on one of my old external drives and I can reupload it... đŸ€”
20. Favorite fic you’ve written?
The hardest question in the world... hmm... maybe wait through the night for the dawn light to break just because it's the longest thing I've done and the MalevBB experience was so fun... but I also really like Siren's Eye bc Fundament and Osmium sibs and my funky little sea-runners, and I also really like Corpus Siege just bc it was so fun to write, and I also like— [is dragged off stage by a comically large shepherd's hook]
[yelling from the wings] also that Halo AU I had where I gave people metahuman powers! thank you and goodnight!

So I was saving this 2022 yearly review after being mentioned by @therealmofamorus for when the year was actually done.
I also wanted to say somethings before we get to that, if you all don't mind me getting a bit serious for a bit.
I... was very disappointed with what I did in 2022. Or rather what I DIDN'T do. I barely posted anything, barely wrote anything, barely got any work done for all of my wonderful followers.
And I am sorry.
I am so, SO sorry.
I don't know what else to say...
I know I'm suppose to treat writing as something fun do or just a hobby... but I really let myself down with what little work I got done.
I am not good at managing free time at all. I constantly have ideas on things to write, but just never really sat down and did it this year. Mainly due to lack of drive to spend the time actually writing them down, as well as spending TOO much time on projects trying to make them exactly as I see them in my head, which just never really works out and then I get annoyed by it.
...And I'm honestly just a lazy person.
I hate to say it, but I am. And I hate that about myself. Because it also affects how I interact with others online as well. I want to talk to more people and interact with their amazing posts and writings, I just don't ever work up the courage or drive to.
So!!! After this year with such little writing and basically not interacting with people online, I'm going to do my best to change. I at least want to get 2-4 asks or 1 big writing project done a week, and that the goal I'm starting with. I'll try not to be spending as much time stressing over getting everything perfect on something, without my writing quality going down.
Hopefully I do more, but I'm starting small. I want to get back into making content for you all to enjoy at least a little bit.
I hope I can stick to it and I also hope that I can do some more things this year on a personal level that I won't dive into right now. Just please keep being patient with me everyone.
So with that stuff off my chest now, HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE! And here is my 2022 year on tumblr.

Pyrrha's ass looks real great in those grey sweatpants, wouldn't you agree Jaune?
Jaune had long forgotten about doing his own share of chores. He had just come inside, after he finished shoveling snow out of their driveway, and just took off the last piece of his warm winter clothes when he caught a glimpse of one amazing sight.
His wife, the champion Pyrrha Nikos, folding their laundry while watching TV. She stood in their living room, in leisure wear, nonchalantly folding shirts, and not paying much mind to her husband's staring.
The reason for his staring was actually her leisure wear. Pyrrha had on just a plain gray sweatshirt with Beacon's symbol on it. it was rather baggy and thick, so it did well to hide the tone, killer body Jaune knew she had.
Her lower half though was much less obscuring. She still only had on plain gray sweatpants. However, the sweatpants were only baggy around the legs. Around Pyrrha's ass, even the loose gray fabric couldn't hide how plump and firm her rear looked. The fabric suddenly got much, much tighter. Jaune could also see just where her crack separated both cheeks into two smooth looking pillows.
Two big, smooth, looking pillows.
Two big, smooth, soft looking pillows.
That also looked very, very inviting to Jaune.
Jaune moved forward subconsciously. He didn't even realize that he had reached out his hand until it grabbed a handful of Pyrrha's plump ass. It was just firm enough to not sag, but soft enough to squeeze for the whole night. His hand now full of soft fabric and ass, as well as Pyrrha's stifled squeaky moan snapped him back to reality. "J-Jaune! W-what's this for?"
"Just... amazed..."
Pyrrha lowered the folded shirt in her hands back down to waist height. "Amazed by what?"
Jaune's hand let go of Pyrrha's champion tier ass, after an internal struggle in Jaune, and slid up Pyrrha's side. His hand traveled around her waist more when he was halfway up her body, moving to rest on her stomach while he brought his other hand around her on the other side, hugging her closely. "By how a boring, average joe like me got to marry a goddess of a woman like you."
Pyrrha's earlier surprise faded and was replaced with an affection she only held for her husband. He could say the most touching things sometimes. And out of nowhere was a wonderful surprise to her day~.
Pyrrha dropped the shirt into the basket at her feet and rested her hands on Jaune's. "That's very sweet of you Jaune~. Now, what pray tell, brought this up?"
It was Jaune's turn to get a bit embarrassed. "Just... wanted to tell you that."
"Oh? And it didn't have anything to do with you staring at my butt for five minutes~?"
Jaune winced and rested his forehead against the back of Pyrrha's head. "Y-you noticed huh?"
Pyrrha hummed melodically and closed her eyes. She pushed her butt back just a little bit, right into Jaune's crotch. "I need to be pretty observant to be a champion fighter. Buuuut it's not like it was hard to notice. You were just standing there after coming inside for almost five whole minutes, not doing anything. That, and I know how much you love these sweatpants on me~."
Jaune let out a steady breath as he felt Pyrrha push her ass against him. It took a lot of willpower not to let go of his hug and go back to squeezing her rear. "Well, can you blame me? What's not to love?"
Pyrrha giggled at that. Another cheesy line that made her heart soar~. "I guess you're right. Even I know my ass looks great in these~. And I know for a fact you really do love them~."
"Oh yeah? How's that Pyr?"
"Oooooh, you know." Pyrrha took her hand off of Jaune's and moved it behind her, right between her ass and his crotch. Her hand, palm facing towards Jaune, closed down around something of Jaune's. Something long, hard, and very, very big. And as the very big thing in her hand pulsed once under her grasp and Jaune's breath hitched from desire, she knew it was real. A sly smirk made its way onto Pyrrha's lips. "The same way I know you aren't just a 'boring, average joe~.'" Pyrrha lifted her head back just a tad and then leaned it back past Jaune's head, turning it to face her husband. "But for now, kiss me~."
Jaune smiled, feeling complete and fulfilled. He couldn't want anything more in life than the woman in his arms. "As my goddess commands~."

Can we get some more Ace Ops Jaune being seduced by his teammates? I really enjoyed that AU!
Elm
“Oi Jaune. How much do you weigh again?”
Jaune paused in taking a swig from his water bottle and glanced over at Elm. They were both in the Atlas Academy gym, dressed in their usual workout attires. He had just finished running a few miles and was taking a break when Elm popped that question. Jaune pulled his lips off of the bottle and swallowed the water in his mouth to answer her. “Uuuuuh like... 170 pounds. 180 maybe. Why?”
Elm just continued to focus on wrapping some bindings around her hands, but she did respond absently. “No reason. But that’s like... 200ish with all of your gear right?”
“Yeeeeah... I guess so.”
“Okay then.” Elm clenched her fists to make sure that her bindings were good to go, then moved over to one of the nearby weight bars. After looking at the weight on it, she nodded to herself and picked up two weight plates, adding them to both sides of the bar. Jaune could see that they were both 50 pounds. And judging by what was already on the bar when she went over, Jaune had to guess the bar now weighed at least 200 pounds. Maybe even 250.
Elm smiled to herself and glanced over at Jaune, who was still sitting down on a bench and still staring at her. Their eyes locked and Elm felt a small rush go through her chest as she grabbed the bar from underneath with both of her hands.
With little effort, Elm lifted the bar up and began curling it. All with perfect form, no shaking in her body, and all with a confident smile and seductive look directed right at Jaune. She subtly licked her lips as she saw his eyes widen and cheeks grew red. She confidently said, "Guess this means I wouldn’t have any trouble holding you up huh Little Knight~?. But let me know if you wanna test it out personally~.” and sent an air kiss and a wink his way for good measure. All without breaking her form.
Jaune just looked away from his senior teammate and covered his face from her view with his water bottle. He still wasn’t used to her teasing, but he was very happy that they were the only ones in the gym. His baggy shorts did little to hide the slight bulge in them.
Harriet
Harriet sent a quick right jab towards Jaune’s head. She slipped it past his raised forearms that he was trying to block with. Her gloved knuckles collided with his right eye, which made him recoil back. Thankfully they had aura otherwise he’d probably have a black eye. Jaune was even more thankful she didn’t have her exoskeleton arms, otherwise it’d also probably be a cracked eye socket.
Jaune’s head snapped back from the blow and he stepped back with one foot, trying to regain his balance. Harriet wasn’t going to let her opening pass by however. She quickly jumped at the man in front of her. Almost in slow motion, Harriet turned her body in midair to land with her thighs on Jaune’s shoulders, her crotch, which was only covered by some white athletic shorts, was less than an inch from Jaune’s face. Harriet’s momentum from her jump forced Jaune to take a few more steps back, pushing him even farther across the mat they were sparring on.
A brief pause came across the two. Harriet glanced down at Jaune, whose upper half was leaning backwards at quite a big angle. Jaune’s eyes reopened after he closed them to avoid the hit he thought Harriet was going to dish out after she jumped at him. They looked at each other for a moment, then Harriet smirked deviously and finished her move.
She spun herself around Jaune’s head and flung him down to the mat in one smooth motion. She rolled with him as his body hit the ground and immediately rushed to get back above him. She got above him, cocking her arm back while she kneeled above him. She was completely ready to rain down the blows when Jaune raised his head up and yelled out, “I yield!” from beneath her.
The female Ace Op let out a short sigh and lowered her arm. Seeing the incoming punch go away, Jaune dropped his head back down and let out his own sigh. “Man... today is not my day.”
Harriet rested her elbow on her raised knee. “Hey, that was only the fifth match today. And you landed some good hits on me.”
“Still my fifth loss though.”
“Yeah yeah, and soon you’ll get your first win, so don’t beat yourself up about it.” She smirked and leaned over Jaune more so she could really look down on him. “That’s my job.” To emphasize her point, she jutted her thumb towards her smirking face.
“Ha ha. Can you let me up now Harriet?”
“Hmmmm... I dunno~.” Harriet dropped her one one she had probed up, so that she was now on both of her knees. And straddling Jaune’s chest. As Jaune’s face lit up like a fire Dust crystal, Harriet sat her butt down right on his chest, her firm cheeks squishing down on his hard chest. And she totally didn’t grind down on him. “I kinda like how you look under me~.” Jaune just shut his eyes tightly and looked away from her, his face totally red. He couldn’t even retort, he was so flustered.
Turns out he didn’t need to as Harriet started laughing out loud. “Haha no need to get so shy! I’m just messing with you Rookie! Come on,” Harriet stood up, still above Jaune, and offered her hand down to him. “Get off the floor. I think we’ve sparred enough for today.”
Jaune glanced back above him and saw the hand. After a moment of hesitation, he accepted it and the smaller woman yanked him up to his feet with surprising ease. He hopped back a step when he got to his feet, definitely not to back up from the woman in front of him.
But Harriet still seemed amused all the same. She placed a hand on her hip as she said, “How about you finish the workout with some leg stuff? You still need to get the base a bit stronger.”
“S-sure Harriet... Thanks.” Jaune quickly took the opportunity to turn around and hide his still reddened cheeks.
Harriet watched Jaune the entire time he walked away and towards some of the workout equipment nearby. She also took a few glances at his ass while she did so. ‘I’ll never get tired of kicking that ass~’

I'm going to have to start using a spinner app for these haha. There are too many ships to choose from for me!
Arcwitch (Glynda x Jaune)
*Light pink rises to her cheeks and the lenses of her glasses turn white, hiding her staring* "Mr. Ar- Jaune... Please cover yourself up."
Willow Knight (Willow x Jaune)
*Sips from wine bottle* "Lucky me~."
Lancaster (Ruby x Jaune)
*Atomic blush*
Arkos (Pyrrha x Jaune)
*Blush* "U-um J-Jaune... Your towel." *Covers her eyes and points, but peeks through her fingers*
At the Stake / Grimm Knight (Salem x Jaune)
*Sits down and looks at him like she's appraising a piece of art* "What a lovely specimen~."
How did the spinner work out? And is this format okay?

jaune sempai au) ruby learns that jaune's big brother instincts can be exploited for hugs. and she also learns jaune gives the best hugs. she might have most of the female (and a good portion of the male) population after her now but she's very happy with her discovery
"Jaaaaaaaaaauuuuuune!"
Jaune swallowed the food that was in his mouth and looked over from his seat in the cafeteria to where his name was being called. And the voice calling him was slowly getting closer and subsequently louder. He smiled as he saw a mass of black and red bolting towards him quickly, but not as quickly as he knew she could. The smile on her face let him know nothing was wrong, and it was good news.
Jaune returned her smile and spun around on the bench to fully face her as she reached him. "Hey Ruby, nice to see you in such a good mood today. Is there any particular reason why?"
Jaune pulled his head back in surprise as a sheet of paper was thrust in front of it. An emerald green "98%: A" in the top right corner was the first thing his eyes saw on it.
"Me and Weiss got an A on Professor Oobleck's essay that we handed in yesterday!"
"That's great to hear Ruby! But it's 'Weiss and I'."
Ruby tilted her head to the side just a tad, confusion in her innocent silver eyes. "You and Weiss what?"
Weiss's top half poked out from behind Ruby, almost out of nowhere. "Don't trouble yourself too much with that Mr. Arc. I've been trying to improve her grammar since the first week of Beacon." Weiss stepped out from behind Ruby as she finished speaking, arms crossed and an icy expression resting on her face.
Ruby turned to fully face her partner. "My grammar is fine! You're just nitpicky! But anyways, Jaune!" Ruby turned back to her upperclassman of two years. "I worked really hard on this essay, do you think I could get a reward?!"
Jaune blinked a few times. That was certainly an... unexpected request from her. 'But... I mean she did do well on her essay, and she can't really want something too insane from me right?' "Uh suuuure Ruby. Uh... what did you have in mind as a reward?"
At this, Ruby's excitement actually diminished a little as she became rather nervous. "C-can I have another hug?"
Several loud snaps were heard as several people around the trio turned their heads to face them, Weiss included as she looked at partner in shock at her request.
"Uh sure, no problem." Jaune was the only one that didn't seem affected by her request, not seeming to find it strange at all. Jaune swung his legs over to the other side of the bench and stood up. As he stood up to his full height, almost a foot taller than the younger girl, and opened his arms casually to offer a hug to her.
Ruby smiled and darted into his arms, her semblance activating and a flurry of rose petals spawned behind her as she rushed into Jaune's arms.
Jaune wasn't even moved by the red and black girl rushing into his chest like a missile, but did wrap his arms around her back, giving her the same kind of hug he'd given to his family members for years. Firm and tightly, but not squeezing her.
Ruby felt the strong arms wrap around her and immediately did the same as she felt herself start to melt into his hug. Even Yang and her Dad didn't give hugs as great as this! It was so comforting and warm! She just... loved it!
"Heeeeeee~..."
She didn't even care about the content, dream sigh sneaking out of her as she smiled blissfully. Bubbles and sparkles started to float around her as well.
"Uhhh Ruby? You okay?"
Ruby's eyes snapped open as she looked up to see a curious look on Jaune's face. And just like that, the sparkles vanished, the bubbles popped, and her own little heavenly moment ended.
Ruby pulled away, embarrassed at how she'd acted. Although her cheeks were for a bit more than just that. "Y-yeah! Tooootally cool! Like mega cool! ...Well by Jaune!"
Without any more words to say, Ruby took off in her signature flurry of petals and vanished from everyone's sight. The sound of the cafeteria door shutting and the trail of petals let all the room's occupants know where she went.
Weiss sighed and pinched the bridge of her nose. "What. A. Dolt." With a deep inhale, she looked back to Jaune and did a slight nod to him. "I apologize Mr. Arc, but I need to go follow my partner. I need to make sure she works on her other assignments tonight. Good day."
Jaune just waved goodbye to the girl in white as she turned and walked away with her usual perfect posture. After she left, Jaune turned back around and went back to sitting at the cafeteria table again.
As he went back to eating his lunch, Jaune completely missed some of the reactions that had occurred throughout the rest of the student body in the cafeteria.
There were several faces of envy, and a few smiling at how cute the interaction was. However, there were a couple more... notable reactions though.
Yang was staring in shock at the upperclassman. How did her shy, dorky, little sister manage to get a hug from the cute, popular third year like it was nothing?!
Pyrrha was also staring at him, though more in harmless surprise than anything. She simply asked him for a hug? Could it really be that easy?
And Joan? ... Joan's reaction included gritting teeth and pushing her fork so hard into her plate that the prongs began to bend. But she totally wasn't jealous! She... just thought that he should go around hugging people to carefree like that! Yeah! Hugs like that should only be for people you're really close to! Like family members!

My #1 post of 2022
Has Jaune's harem ever thrown him a rainbow party?
A bit of a long Jaune x Harem lemon ahead. Haven’t posted something like this in a while so I hope you all enjoy it!
Pyrrha slowly dragged her green lips up Jaune shaft and pulled off his cock, a disappointed groan coming from Jaune. Left behind near the last two to three  inches of his cock was a stack of lipstick marks around his dick. A new green ring was at the top of the stack, a shade of green that matched the color of her lipstick. The other colors of rings in the stack after the green one included red, white, yellow, orange, black, purple, and magenta.
“Hehe, we sure have,” Pyrrha stood up and moved out of the way so the next girl could take her place between Jaune’s legs, that being the dark skinned beauty Emerald. “And are currently doing another one~.”
Emerald smiled smugly as she put her hands on Jaune’s knees to keep them spread open and rubbed them lovingly. She slowly used her tongue to get her lips wet. She was wearing dark brown lipstick and wanted to make sure her own ring would be visible too.
She was also pretty excited for her turn finally. After almost 20 minutes of waiting and watching all of the other girls blow their shared boyfriend, she was just about to snap. But now his dick was all hers. And the whole reason that she opted to go last was about to happen.
She’s the one that gets to let him cum~.
Emerald brought her dark lips to the tip of Jaune’s cock and gave it a quick kiss. It twitched under her warm lips and Emerald smiled against the rigid head. The dick really never lied, she supposed~. And it must really like all the attention it has been getting today~.
Emerald slowly parted her lips and his dick slid right in comfortably. Well, comfortably for Emerald. For Jaune it was more accurate to say it was blissful as her warm mouth welcomed his cock. Her lips trailed all the way down to reach the stack of lipstick marks around his cock, stopping just at the top of the rings.
Then she started blowing him. She brought her mouth back up to his head only to slide back down immediately. She repeated that again and again, quickly building up speed in her bobbing. Impressively, Emerald never went below her own lipstick mark on his cock so none of the others got messed up. And since she was only sucking the remaining five inches of Jaune’s cock, it was much easier to blow him quickly than it usually was. She also wasn’t gagging because of it.
“Mmmmm slllrp mmmm. Hmmmm MMM! Guuug slurp.”
But that didn’t mean she couldn’t make some noise for the fun of it~.
Up and down. Up and down. Her head moved so fast that her mint green hair started bouncing with each bob. Her brown lips dragging on the veiny, thick rod the entire time, smearing the brown lipstick all along it the whole time.
“Hoooo dust! Em! Y-you got me so close!”
Emerald paused just a moment on the head when Jaune moaned that out. She knew he was going to blow soon, so she wanted as much of her mouth free for his cum as she could have. Her lips stayed locked around his tips, but then her tongue started doing all the work.
Inside her warm mouth was an assault of teasing stimulations from her. She gave the head some gentle licks, swirled her tongue around the whole head, prodded and teased the hole a little, and sucked on it haaaard. It was only a matter of time before Jaune came. Which he did.
But without any kind of spoken warning. Not that Emerald really cared though.
As Emerald was teasing his dick hole with the tip of her tongue once again, she suddenly felt his cock pulsate, and then cum rushed out and splash onto her tongue. Emerald stopped licking immediately and just focused on either sucking, or just letting his cum fill her mouth. Jaune finally let out a deep moan after he shot about his third rope of cum into her mouth.
Emerald kept her lips sealed tight and stayed there on her knees between Jaune’s legs, letting him take all the time he needed to finish his climax. As his cock finally slowed down in it’s pulsing all the way to a stop, Emerald released her mouth’s captive.
She closed her lips briefly, just so she didn’t spill any cum, and looked up past Jaune’s cock to his face. When she made eye contact with the panting man, showed him all the thick cum she had pooled in her mouth. And then swallowed it happily. The semen went down her throat very easily, despite how thick it was.
Emerald finally had the chance to speak now that her mouth was fully free after several minutes. “Ahhhhh~. Amazing like always babe~.”
“Fuuuuck mmmm~! I’ll say Emerald! That was so hot to watch!”
Emerald turned her head and glanced behind her at the other girls in the room. All of whom were wearing different colors of smeared lipstick. And who were also in various stages of masturbation or pleasing other girls.
Yang, with bright orange lipstick and the one who had spoken, was holding Blake’s head while she ate her out. The cat faunus’s purple lipstick still managing to leave marks around her pussy.
Ruby and Weiss were both three fingers deep and moaning steadily. Their red and white lipstick was still rather well kept compared to the rest of them.
Arlsan was fully sitting on Resse’s face, a very pleased smirk was on her yellow lips while Reese’s magenta lips worked away on her pussy.
And finally there was Cinder and Pyrrha, the two were taking turns sucking on each other’s big tits. Cinder’s lips were currently sucking on Pyrrha’s right nipple, leaving behind black lipstick marks. She already had a nice set of green marks right in the middle of her tits from the Mistral Champion, it was only fair she gets to leave some marks too~.
While the other eight girls were all having their fun, Emerald looked back to her boyfriend. “When we have rainbow parties though, everyone likes to get a bit more colorful~. Isn’t that right Jaune~?”
Jaune nodded slowly and looked down at the art on his cock, then back up to all his girlfriends and their own colorful messes and marks.
He did enjoy the former a lot, but the later was definitely his preferred view.

Kisekae Insights #50: Kamen Rider Zi-O Part 8 - Background
Tumblr media
After a month of non-stop typing in preparation, we have finally reached the end of this Kamen Rider Zi-O miniseries. In this instalment, not only will I be talking about the background to this series, I’ll also talk a little bit about the overarching Final Kamen Rider Chronicle along with the three Chronicle series broadcast from 2019 to 2021. At the end, there will be a song list of music featured in all three works.
Background to Zi-O and The Final Kamen Rider Chronicle
Kamen Rider Zi-O was created as part of The Final Kamen Rider Chronicle, an trilogy of Rider series alongside Ex-Aid and Build created in lieu of a fifth series for Three Kingdoms and Soulbound.
Each series was allocated 40 episodes of 45 minutes in length, making it the equivalent to 80 episodes in half-hour timeslots. This was the amount of time I gave the creators of the other two series’ adaptations for which to adapt the entirety of the series content, including the crossover winter movies, the traditional summer movie, the post-series V-Cinemas, the Hyper Battle DVDs and other web/media specials. Naturally, you can imagine what the other two teams felt when I announced After Quartzer. To be fair, though, Ex-Aid and Build haven’t had any other self-contained post-series specials and the Decade/Zi-O miniseries came out in 2021.
The Final Kamen Rider Chronicle was announced in June 2019 for broadcast in July 2020. Initially, it was delayed by a year due to the coronavirus lockdowns, but when the fourth lockdown hit, I decided to do away with the scheduling and let the creators release the series when they were ready. The fact that I intended this trilogy to be broadcast 5 times a week and I had started working full-time did not help things, as these delays were made worse by Soulbound Series 4 not being completed at the time.
One of the ideas I gave for Kamen Rider Build was multiple Build clones that mainly used the Best Matches of other territories. I don’t think I had other ideas for Ex-Aid though. Hey, remember that rumour where Ex-Aid’s Riders would be based on file extensions?
I started work on Zi-O in February 2022 after finishing Soulbound Series 4. I finished the main series in August, then took a brief break before completing After Quartzer from September to November. On a good day, I could work on three episodes, finishing off the first, completing a second and starting work on a third. When I got to the fourth part, that was a difficult schedule to keep due to the episodes largely being original. In fact, original episodes would always take longer to write. The episode that took me the longest to write was episode 33 at 18 days, as it was the start of a new status quo with the Quartzer trio. The special that took me the longest to write was Rainbow Rider Revolution at 38 days.
As I watched Zi-O during its original run, I knew that I wanted to adapt it eventually, being “Decade 2.0” as people called it. Like all non-Doctor Who series in my personal project, Zi-O is another egofest. In fact, it’s an egofest on a brand new level as I played Ohma Zi-O, Swartz and Hiroki Ichigo along with a bunch of Riders and characters. My twin brother played Sougo and the other Sougo, Takeru and Hikaru Azuma, but let’s face it, you might as well say that I played them. I originally played Parker Zhou and Hiroki’s prototypes before I decided to outsource them for the Moushouden Series; given how I ended up playing multiple characters again, fat lot of good that was.
Given that the series was produced by Shinichirƍ Shirakura and written by Kento Shimoyama, it had flaws that people had already seen in previous works. As such, my goal with the adaptation was to improve on them to the best of my ability, though I’m unable to guarantee that I managed to catch all of them or improve them sufficiently.
One thing I improved on in the first part was how the Another Riders worked and how their creation affected time. The erasure of the Riders’ history caused by the Another Riders being created early in their counterpart Riders’ timelines was seen as disrespectful and as such, this was improved on by removing the history erasure element and having the events of Zi-O be a continuation of the Legend Riders’ timelines. I also incorporated the W and Kuuga tributes into the main series to show Sougo’s acquisition of their Ridewatches, in a two-parter adapting Heisei Generations Forever.
The second part contained original episodes consisting of an adaptation of Kamen Rider Shinobi, a Ryuki tribute that also serves as a prequel to Sougo acquiring Zi-O II and a totally original episode featuring the other Sougo and Parker Zhou. The third part introduced Quartzer into the series as a new villain group, added an Amazons tribute, extended the Hibiki tribute to include a Magica tribute and made Kamen Rider Ginga’s appearance a full episode with two original Riders.
The finale arc of the original Zi-O was something I definitely wanted to improve on, due to it going back to the merging worlds plot already used in Decade. As such, the final three episodes were adapted at the end of the third part and the fourth part was adapted from the final episodes of Kamen Rider Zero-One. Initially, I didn’t intend on adapting the Over Quartzer movie and the movie Riders because of Showa elements, but I ended up adapting it in the end.
Hiryuu Kakogawa also felt underused during his appearances in the series. As such, Hiryuu joined Quartzer for the fourth part as I made the unprecedented move to adapt Zi-O’s final stage show for plot elements. A Facebook group I was in run by the people behind Genm Corp fansubs and the Henshin Fever fanpage posted a subtitled version of Build’s final stage show in 2019, making me realise that there was an untapped market for fansubs. I think other fansubbers and groups have caught on to this because more tokusatsu stage shows have been subbed since then.
Kamen Rider Tsukuyomi and Sougo as Ohma Zi-O appeared to be rushed out for the finale of the original, so Kamen Rider Tsukuyomi was introduced at the end of the third part while Ohma Zi-O was made into the Ark-One of the series.
In preparation for this series, certain Kamen Riders and power-ups were introduced earlier, more specifically in Soulbound Series 4, as a build-up and foreshadowing to this series. Of note, the Decade Beltmorpher X and Diend Gunmorpher X were introduced as upgrades given to Hiroki and Kayley after making a deal with Ohma Zi-O. Kamen Rider Aqua was also introduced before his appearance in Zi-O, even though he ended up being used in an original arc with his counterpart in the original series being replaced by Akihito Hayasaka as Kamen Rider Woz the Next.
The main portion of my personal project had concluded in Soulbound Series 4; Zi-O is both a continuation of the story for the Kamen Riders and a side story for everyone else. The events of this series take place in a separate timeline to the main universe as the main characters of the series are parallel isotopes; individuals whose timelines have been splintered by them being displaced from their own timelines. By the end of the series, the parallel isotopes are erased with the destruction of the timeline, however new versions of the main characters are created in a new timeline as shown in the After Quartzer specials.
Chronicle Series
Following the conclusion of Doctor Who, three weekly Chronicle series were commissioned. The Chronicle series follows the premise of Ultraman Retsuden and other Chronicle series in that they are mostly recaps and reruns of previous episodes.
Doctor Who: The Equestria Chronicles is the first such series, broadcast from July to December 2019. The series takes place during the events of the eighth season and follows Storm Dasher as he teaches the Young Six about the adventures of Doctor Whooves, the Pony Doctor and himself. Some special guests join Dasher’s classes/lectures as well, human, pony or Time Lord alike.
Ultraman: The Equestria Chronicles was broadcast from July to December 2020. This series consists of 6 mini-arcs that can be separated into individual series, covering the adventures of Storm Dasher as Ultraman Ginga, Spike as Ultraman Victory, and Danny Williams as Ultraman X, the latter being an adaptation of the original series. In hindsight I probably should have fleshed it out into a proper series myself, but this was for the best since my work on Soulbound Series 4 would occupy me for two years.
The Zhuge Family Chronicles was broadcast from January to June 2021 in preparation for The Final Kamen Rider Chronicle. This series follows Jee Gun, Sunset Shimmer, Copper Plume, Rally Flag, Starlight Glimmer and Sierra Nightingale as they learn about Hiroki Ichigo and his family, the Zhuge family, and their adventures at the Strawberry Academy. Being inspired by Ultraman Chronicle: ZERO & GEED, this series carries the classroom setting through to the end whereas the original had to abort it towards the end due to the pandemic. The series culminates in a final exam for the six students, which they pass with flying colours.

And so we have reached the end of the Zi-O miniseries and with it, the fourth run of Kisekae Insights. We’ve gone through 20 instalments in 7 months, which is a little more than the first run’s pattern of 16 instalments in 6 months. I would have released the Zi-O miniseries over one month instead of two, but at this point I’m just buying time until the 1000th Post Special. I hope this makes up for the lackluster third run in 2022.
With My Little Pony, Gokaiger, Decade and Zi-O out of the way, all that’s really left for me to cover is Three Kingdoms and Soulbound (unless you want me to retread previous topics for content). Don’t expect the fifth run to come out until 2025; I’ve got enough on my plate at the moment with the upcoming Sea Princesses 20th Anniversary and Koei Warriors Retrospective.
If you’ve got any questions about anything in this series, feel free to contact me on Facebook or shoot me an ask or DM on Tumblr (anons disabled). Until the next run, I say.

Eagle Cap Circumnavigation (2/4)
I woke up on the first full day of my Eagle Cap circumnavigation feeling much less sick, and therefore more optimistic about my ability to do the whole hike without it turning into a death march. I didn't know at the time, as I finished packing up my camp and headed east toward the nearby Cliff Creek Trail, that I was starting what would turn out to be the longest single day of hiking I've done (so far) while carrying a full backpack.
Maybe I should have seen this coming, as I didn't have a very firm plan when heading out that morning, and lack of an end goal usually leads me to hike more, not less. I knew I wanted to head north, toward the Lakes Basin, but Mirror Lake, in the heart of the basin, was quite a distance from Crater Lake (GaiaGPS said 17 miles and 5,000 feet of elevation, and it usually underestimates). In-between were a number of great camp spots like the Frazier Lakes, Glacier Lake, and Moccasin Lake. I had to think about how to balance how far I wanted to travel on this day as well as the next day to reach my final camping goal, which was Hidden Lake on the other side of Eagle Cap. Knowing I'd be spending a lot of time on the trail alone and in my own head, I hadn't bothered to figure this out before getting to the trailhead, enjoying the excitement of the idea of deciding what to do intuitively, as I hiked. I just knew, as an outer limit on my mileage for the day, that I did not intend to walk all the way to Mirror Lake and would definitely stop before then.
Should I just post the photos of my camp at Mirror Lake now, or have you already guessed what happened because you've read this blog before?
Okay, so, like the first day, I somehow started the second day of the hike by getting lost. This trip report is making me seem like an absolute doofus, so in my admittedly shaky defense I will say that both the trail emerging from the East Eagle trailhead (where I got lost on day one) and the trail emerging from the east side of Crater Lake (where I got lost on day two) were churned up quite a bit and featured a number of "unofficial" spin-offs due to people riding horses in the area while the ground was muddy. I'm not strongly for or against horses in Wilderness Areas here, just making an observation and a meager defense of my own stupidity.
In this case, I managed to follow a sort-of trail for nearly a mile (in the right direction, east, but, as it would turn out, about five hundred feet uphill from the "real" trail). I had some reservations about this trail from the get-go, but I stayed on it all the way until it dead-ended nearly a mile from Crater Lake at an impromptu, empty camp site. Then there was no trail and I had to accept the fact that I was lost again. Whoops.
Fortunately, once I realized I was in trouble and took a moment to hike out to a more meadow-y, open part of the not-trail, I could actually see other backpackers five hundred feet below me traversing the same hill on the trail I was supposed to be on. So, I started my day, more or less, with an extremely sketchy descent down an old drainage filled with loose rocks until I reached the trail. At least this area was gorgeous, with the face of Marble Mountain looming in front of me, and Red and Granite Mountains hanging seemingly nearly overhead. My knees, though, would remind of this unplanned descent for the rest of the day.
Tumblr media
Once I was back on the (real) trail, things were pretty straightforward for awhile. I took the Cliff Creek Trail to where it dead-ended into the South Fork Imnaha River, spent a minute trying to find a place to cross that would allow me to keep my boots dry, shimmied across a wet log, then had a friendly chat with another solo backpacker who was taking a lunch break on a little island in the middle of the river. The backpacker told me that she had camped at Frazier Lake the previous night after finding the wind to be overwhelming at Glacier Lake (a common occurrence, in my experience). I filed that information away for later, then continued north(ish) from there.
After another mile or so, the valley really started to open up. I could see the odd-looking cliffs of the Cusick Peaks and a little of Cusick Mountain hovering to my right, while the striking face of Jackson Peak reared up further ahead.
Tumblr media
Up until now all the hiking I'd done since parking the car had been on trails I'd never traveled before in the Wallowas. I knew Hawkins Pass was coming up soon, but I knew very little about what it was like other than that you gained nearly a half-mile in elevation between the intersection with the river and the top of the pass. I had some general hope that it would be "cool," based on other passes I'd crossed in the Wallowas previously that provided views of some absolutely insane landscape (Glacier Pass, Polaris Pass, Tenderfoot Pass, and Ivan Carper Pass come to mind), but I was a blank slate otherwise.
So, as I was gearing myself up both physically and aesthetically (?) for my first crossing of Hawkins Pass I encountered another solo hiker, who was doing the same loop I was doing, but from the opposite direction. We traded stories and ideas for future hikes for a few minutes, and then he proceeded to try to describe how crazy Hawkins Pass was while his eyes bugged out of his head. I heard the words "enormous glacial cirque" and then I was more or less off and running (in a manner of speaking) from there. Why else come to the Wallowas in the first place, but for ENORMOUS GLACIAL CIRQUES?
The (still) long approach to the climbing portion of the pass was both absolutely beautiful and seemed to drag on and on, as each turn in trail revealed another (but not the final) exposure of the previously-advertised enormous glacial cirque. It felt contradictory to rush through such a beautiful landscape, but each turn revealed an even better view, leading me to plow through the lead up to the pass proper like a five-year-old plowing through a stack of presents on Christmas morning, each gift only serving as motivation to find and open the next one.
When I finally saw the full scale of the thing, it knocked the breath out of me for a minute. Obviously, photos don't really do it justice. This was my first-ever hike in the Wallowas with a wide-angle lens, and all it really did was make even more clear how hard it is to capture the landscape with a camera in any meaningful way.
Tumblr media
After the big reveal, it was lots of climbing and lots of wind. The trail winds ingeniously up and to the north (left in the picture), eventually giving you a wonderful view of the valley you just spent an hour or two hiking up.
Tumblr media
As I got higher, the path got narrower, and the wind became a bit of a liability for someone with a moderate fear of falling-from-heights, but before too long I'd reached the top of Hawkins Pass.
Tumblr media
Coming from the south side of the pass, which was all fall foliage and (I think?) limestone rock faces, the north side presented a view and palette that was more familiar to me as I neared the area of the Wallowas that I'd hiked in before.
Tumblr media
From here, I could see for the first time terrain that I knew: Eagle Cap and Glacier Peak reared up in the background, and though I'd never seen them from this angle before, the Frazier Lakes laid out in the valley below like a teal necklace a giant had dropped and left behind.
I wound down the north side of the pass, at this point so used to hiking uphill that the quick, nearly-1,000-foot drop felt like a reprieve instead of yet more work. I stopped for the first substantive break of the day (as opposed to a few previous less-than-five-minutes breaks) at Little Frazier Lake, which seemed to be lacking decent camping sites but provided a great view of the pass's north-side cirque.
Tumblr media
Post-break, I continued on downhill a bit further before reaching the intersection between the West Fork Wallowa Trail and the Glacier Pass Trail. This was the first time, fifteen or so miles into the trip, where I stepped onto ground I had walked before. From the trail intersection, I could see where Lindsey and I had camped at Frazier Lake in 2017, while completing a counter-clockwise take on the Lakes Basin Loop hike. After having my mind blown by Hawkins Pass, it was a bit sad to know there wouldn't be any other "new" surprises until I reached the west side of Eagle Cap, likely midway through the third day of the trip. On the other hand, it was comforting to be somewhere I was more familiar with, especially after struggling to follow the trail a few times back in the "rougher," southern part of the wilderness. Also, one of my absolute favorite parts of the whole wilderness was coming up soon: Glacier Pass.
As I mentioned above, the Frazier Lakes had been the first potential stopping point for me on day two. I reached them about two hours earlier than my imagined "slowest possible" time, though, which meant that when the decision to stop and camp or not was actually upon me, there was plenty of daylight left and I chose pretty much immediately to pass them up in the name of using more daylight to cover more miles and set myself up for an easier third day tomorrow.
The good and bad news, then, was that the next step was climbing Glacier Pass, an absolutely gorgeous glacier-carved pass leading up and then back down into the famous Lakes Basin: I'd be climbing 1,400 more feet up, then deciding whether or not to camp at the beautiful but notoriously windy Glacier Lake, then descending 1,000 more feet down if not. Past Glacier Pass, I'd likely be hiking in the twilight, and would have to hope to find a spot to camp in the busiest area in the wilderness after nightfall.
Tumblr media
The scenery around Glacier Pass is another one of those things that's almost impossible to capture with a camera, but it's emblematic of what makes the Wallowas incredible to me: the scope of some of these glacial valleys is just unlike anything I've seen anywhere else I've been. To reach the top of the pass and look back to see another hiker a half-mile behind you (as I did during this hike) looking like an ant squirming around within an impossibly huge landscape is an overwhelming experience. And then you keep walking.
Tumblr media
Like with Hawkins Pass, I have thirty or so more photos I could share of this pass-crossing, but it's probably best to just get on with it.
Glacier Lake was as stunning as always, emerging as does, in reverse, from the West Fork Wallowa River, if you're following the trail up from the south as I was. Glacier Peak leaned over top of the whole tableau, reminding me yet again that I haven't summitted it yet, and Eagle Cap occasionally peeked coyly out from behind the background hills, egging me on toward the Lakes Basin that it presides over like a monarch.
I've never camped at Glacier Lake because, as beautiful as it is, there is always a freezing wind tearing across its surface. In 2017, Lindsey and I had planned to spend a night there, and ended up descending to Frazier Lake instead to stay warm. In 2019, we had also planned to spend a night there, then bailed for an already-established camp at Moccasin Lake after the wind once again scared us off. I was really into the idea of this trip being The Time, was convinced I'd really be camping there, finally. There was even a great, open camp spot right on the lake, a rarity in a part of the wilderness that is usually a little overpopulated by humans. But there was also the wind. Again.
I didn't have a lot of daylight left at this point, but rather than motivating me to stop, set up my tent, and enjoy shelter, it underscored exactly how cold it was going to be once the sun went down on the shore of Glacier Lake. My hands and feet had mostly gone numb from the gale the moment I reached the lake, and it wasn't going to get any warmer until tomorrow. I stopped and thought about it for a minute, chatted with a few established campers, and then decided to continue on to the top of Glacier Pass and beyond. Maybe next time.
Glacier Lake looks unreal from near the top of the pass. I almost turned around and went back. Almost.
Tumblr media
This was already much further than I'd planned on hiking, already the furthest I'd ever hiked in a day with a full pack, and, likely the most elevation I'd ever gained in one day with a full pack. Getting a new personal best (time, distance, elevation, etc.) tends not to mean a lot to me as I'm generally not very competitive even with myself. Instead, it's usually more esoteric "rewards" (like the view from Hawkins Pass) that motivate me; however, at this point in the day even the descent of the striking north side of Glacier Pass, a view that filled the sky with old friends (Eagle Cap, Sacajawea Peak, the Matterhorn, and so on), and the spectacle of the Lakes Basin coming into view below me were overcome a bit by my just being tired and hungry and having feet that hurt.
I did in fact descend all the way into the Lakes Basin, and continued on past a super-busy Moccasin Lake (where a nice older woman offered to let me set up camp nearer to her than would normally be polite, as she was concerned about me still being out and about in the darkness) to a surprisingly less-busy Mirror Lake. In the midst of summer, finding a spot on the granite slabs along the shore of Mirror Lake is a bit like finding rental property...well, basically anywhere these days. For some reason, though, everyone was camped out around Moccasin Lake instead on this particular night. So, I swooped in just at sunset and grabbed a wonderful spot right near the lake, with a perfect view of Eagle Cap.
Tumblr media
I set up the tent right as it got truly dark, had to cook and eat in the dark, and crawled into my tent for the night almost immediately afterward. I had covered way more distance than I'd expected to in one day, but my third day, the hike to Hidden Lake, was still going to be a bit of a doozy.
In the end, my GPS watch recorded the trip from Crater Lake to Mirror Lake as an 18.25 mile hike, with 4,200 feet of elevation gain. I realize that for some, that's just an average day on the JMT, but for me it was a lot. I slept like it.

Researching Giants
900ft!Anti
850ft! Sean
23yr! 5'3!Y/N
Requested By PrpleLily
You where a college student, studying the massive humanoid creatures known as Giants.
Centuries ago, Giants ripped open the fabric of space and reality and very quickly took over the earth. They where benevolent creatures, so human lives where hardly disrupted by the new world order, but they where massive and invulnerable to any weapon mankind had invented.
Many humans where scared of them, but you found them fascinating. Especially the King of Giants Antisepticeye and his right hand Sean. These two where the biggest and the most powerful of the giants. Both had a massively beneficial impact on humans. The king, Anti, introduced technology beyond our knowledge or capacity to create that made lives easier. And Sean taught humans to be kinder to each other. But they where big and scary looking. So humans still where scared of them.
Currently, you where in your school's library, doing research on the Giants history for a paper. You where hoping that your final thesis would get the king's attention and he would invite you to be the first ever Human Representative. The job existed to teach humans that the giants only want to care for the humans, but no one has been brave enough to take it.
You where about halfway done with your paper when the dean came on the intercom saying that the school was about to close for the day. You quickly saved your paper and logged out, packing up your things and leaving.
Yawning, you walked to your car, getting in and driving home. You where so focused on your thesis that you didn't realize how exhausted you were, or how hungry. No matter, some food and rest at home and then in the morning right back to work.
Finally you arrived home. You where too tired to cook, so you just decided to order food to your door. It quickly came thanks to the delivery drone system the king implemented. After eating, you went to bed, quickly falling asleep due to sheer exhaustion.
Hours later, you woke up to your lights flickering. Sitting up, confused, you rubbed your head, noticing something strange. A red string around your wrist.
An invitation to the Giant Glitch King's Castle
A/n: This is part one to a two part requested story, I hope you enjoyed it!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
There are many different kinds of people in this life. People who you will encounter and will stay with you for years, days, months, hours and some for a few seconds. Amongst the different kinds of people are the people who chose you, the people you chose, the people who are forced away from you and the people you are bound to. For the longest time you thought you had only people from the first three categories in your life, you thought wrong.
It was a simple mission, do recon and gain some insights on a possible target. Learn about him, his habits and schedule. After a few weeks of surveillance, you were beginning to get restless. Not matter who tried to get themselves in his path he barely regarded them.
With a party he was throwing coming up, the Justice League was getting near as restless as you were. They didn’t exactly know what to do, majority of the people they had, they sent to try and capture his attention only to fail. Now with practically no one left they turned to you. You were supposed to go under cover at the party and charm the man, it wasn’t that difficult a mission, but there was one problem.
“No,” Bruce Wayne shook his head.
“Come on Bruce!” You pleaded, “This is finally a chance to prove myself. I promise I can do it, trust me.”
Bruce sighed and rubbed his forehead before turning towards your partner in crime, in and out of the mask. Giving his youngest son a questioning look. Crossing his arms Damian looked away from his father for just a second to you. Your eyes were wide, and he shook his head.
“I don’t like it,”
You scowled and rolled your eyes, “Of course you don’t. It’s as if it’s the two of yours mission to prevent me from even becoming a full blown member of the Titans.”
You hadn’t yet become a member due to inexperience, it would take at least another year of vigilantism for them to even consider letting you join them. However if you were to successfully complete a under cover mission, well let’s just say you had high hopes they might be a little more willing to let you even come a candidate.
Taking in a breath you tried to take on a diplomatic persona. If you were going to get what you want you have to be serious about it.
“There isn’t any other girl you can send that he won’t know about. I’m the best option.”
Neither Bruce nor Damian looked convinced and you held back a snarl. If they would just trust you... no, no. You were asking a lot, to go off on your own... but what if you weren’t on your own.
“What if,” You began holding out a hand, “someone went with me. Of course not a girl, but one of the guys came with me. You could pick any of them-”
Before you could finish Bruce hummed and nodded his head as he were contemplating it. Then he rubbed his face. His eyes flickered to Damian for a moment.
“You would need someone who could blend in at the party, someone who is good at improvising.” He mused.
“Well, there goes Jon and Colin.” You sighed.
Damian snorted at first then stopped himself coughing. He shot you a glare and you smiled slightly. Bruce let out a slight huh, before he leaned back in his chair.
“You will need someone you can trust, someone who can get you into the party... someone you are in sync with.”
You blinked in confusion and Damian cursed. He shook his head and took a step back. You didn’t exactly understand what was going but Damian appeared to. Bruce smiled slightly and he shook his head before pushing himself to his feet.
“Damian will go with you.”
Shaking you head you ignored the burning gaze on your neck and began to protest, “What? No, he can’t he’s, he’s-”
Bruce interrupted you without hesitation, “He’s a perfect fit. He can blend in a party, he’s used to improvising, you trust him and are partners on patrol. Most of all he’s my son, so he can get the two of you in.”
“What if he doesn’t want to? What if he won’t?”
You looked to see Damian glaring at his father, his jaw locked and face tight. You highly doubted Damian would, he seemed to be determined to keep you at the little kid's table. probably because he only saw you as one.
“He will.”
You blinked opening your mouth to reply only to close it and shake your head. But why? He won't do it willingly that's for sure-
“Is that an order?”
Damian's voice broke the silence in the room causing you to turn fully towards him. Arms crossed and body stiff he met his father's gaze. Bruce sighed, sinking back into his chair.
"I won't force you, Damian. But... honestly, you're the only person I trust to help Y/N."
The silence returned more suffocating then before and you fidgeted. Nerves strung up so tight someone could use them as a guitar, you forced a breath out. Damian was going to say no, you knew it. He was going to say no and you weren't going to be able to go on the mission. It was either going to end with someone else doing it or completed in a different way.
Damian let out a sigh and you made eye contact with him. He furrowed his brow, and you bit your lip nearly pleading with your eyes. Scowling he broke the eyes contact and closed his eyes. Dropping his arms to his sides he sighed again.
"Fine."
Fine, fine! He said fine~! You were going on the mission. A smile split across your face, and you bounced slightly before taking in a breath trying to calm yourself. You couldn't overreact, that would just make them doubt you. Doubt what you could do and that you could actually complete this mission.
"There is a party he's hosting next week. The two of you need to prepare for it."
Bruce moved papers around on his desk before picking one up and looking it over. He hummed slightly before looking at you.
"It's a masquerade party. Selina hopefully will be able to help find an outfit for you, Y/N."
You let your smile loose as you took a step towards Bruce's desk. Eyes shining and heart racing.
"I can go and talk to her now! Can I?"
Bruce nodded slowly and Damian grumbled something under his breath. Ignoring him you turned and dashed out of the room bouncing as you went.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Patrol right before going on a mission seemed stupid, however if anyone had any suspicions about Damian being Robin and you being V/N, the sight of your vigilante forms out on patrol while civilian forms went to a party would dismiss any and all of them.
Excitement seemed to pulse and flush every part of your body. Heart race and cheeks pink, breath quick and fingers dancing. You were ready to go and change so you could make your way to the party. And then make your way into the Titans.
It seemed however, that Damian was having second thoughts about going with you on the mission. Quietly seething by you he was your exact opposite.
Bouncing across the rooftop you let out a squeal. With only seemed to irritated Damian further then you usually irritated him. Springing over towards him you landed on the heels of your feet. Rocking between them and your toes you leaned over and bumped Damian.
"What's going on with you?"
"Nothing."
"Nothing, nothing? Are you sure Mr. grumpy puss?"
Damian turned to your and raised an eyebrow. His scowl dropping as he opened his mouth for a moment.
"Mr. Grumpy puss?"
Rolling your eyes, you rolled onto the balls of your feet before shrugging.
"I think the nickname fits you perfectly."
A scoff of sorts escaped from Damian, and you smiled at him wildly. Bouncing your eyebrows, you laughed and rolled feet over head onto your butt.
Letting out a sigh you stared up at the sky. The stars were bright, probably due to the clean skies program Wayne industries instituted.
"Do you know any constellations Mr. Grumpy puss?"
Damian sighed, hearing the sound of his feet-his heavy boots moving across the rooftop. Moving over to you he sank next to you and pointed at a star.
"That's the north star, if you know where it is."
You smiled staring up at the stars, the dazzling colors of lights in the sky.
Suddenly there was a buzzing over the comms and you sat up, eyebrow raised.
"V/N, Robin, it's time."
Smiling brightly, you went to jump to your feet only to have Damian yank you back.
You turned to look at him, brow raised, and face twisted.
"What?"
"We are not to be seen leaving!" He hissed in reply
You rolled your eyes waving a hand. He sighed and the two of you began crawling across the ground towards the fire escape.
______________________________________________________________
The dress... it was strange, a vibrant color. Which would definitely stand out at the ball. Of course, you knew there wasn't really a dress code, but it was more of a social thing. Black and white. The dress and mask matched nearly perfectly, and you looked yourself over in the mirror.
You looked... beautiful. And you truly felt beautiful.
Pulling at loose strands you smiled. Only to have Selina whack your hand away from your hair and playfully point a finger at you.
"No touching. You might mess something up."
You nodded and she gently applied the finishing touch. A light gloss on the makeup. Pulling away she smiled and spun you around.
"Now you look ravishing dear. Simply stunning enough to get a whole room around your finger."
A blush raced across your cheeks, and you looked down. You were a bit nervous, though you'd never admit it.
"L/N, Miss Kyle, hur-please hurry up!"
Damian's voice echoed into your ears and a smile curled onto Selina's face as she pushed her tongue along the line of her mouth. Looking towards the door she laughed slightly.
"This is going to be interesting."
Linking arms with you, she began pulling you towards the door and opened it. Leaning in, her breath fanned across your neck, and you swallowed.
"Are you ready to catch a bird my dear little adoptive kitten?"
You gave her a confused look and mad it to the top of the stairs. Below you saw Bruce standing behind a pacing Damian. The second your heeled foot touched the stairs, Damian turned to look at you.
He went still and his brow furrowed even more. Mouth pressing into a line he swallowed and reached up running a hand across his ear.
By the time you made it to the bottom of the stairs you spotted Barabra, Cass and Duke chatting with Alfred.
"Hello," You said somewhat meekly, "how do I look?"
While you believed Selina you wanted unbiased people to give you, their opinions. Cass smiled and gave you a thumbs up and Barabra softly nodded.
"You look lovely Y/N. I think you're going to do great."
Duke nodded, "Yeah! You're gonna kick butt."
Smiling at him you reached over, fist raised only to have him bump it and hear a 'tt' sound. Turning you met Damian's eyes and watched as he looked you over with a clearly critical eye.
"You look- it-. It will work. I guess."
Turning away from you he crossed his arms, scowling. Maybe you didn't look nearly as good as you felt? As you thought. Maybe everyone was just being nice? You didn't know but you weren't going to let Damian's opinion weigh you down.
Walking around the corner Steph appeared. She looked up from her phone and took a glance at you before looking back down only to do a double take.
"Hubba-hubba Y/N, you look hot!"
A blush raced across your cheeks, and you smiled. Before you could reply Steph walked over to Damian and elbowed him.
"Doesn't see look amazing Damian?"
Damian scowled and shot Steph a glare. She leaned on him and he huffed pulling away. Her eyebrow raised and a twisted smile curling up the side of her face you had a suspicion that she was planning something.
"She looks fine."
Steph's smile slid off of her face and she crossed her arms. Opening her mouth to say something only for Barabra to touch her shoulder and shake her head.
Shaking his own head Damian offered his hand out to you.
"We need to hurry, we're already late."
You rolled your eyes but pulled away from Selina and took Damian's hand. Looking back, you caught Selina wink and took in a breath. You can do this. Selina thought you could have an entire room around your finger, so why not play into it?
"Oh dear, were not. You're a Wayne you never can be late. Everyone else is just early. "
Damian's grip on your hand tightened for a moment before he pulled you closer. He let go and offered his arm to you. You accepted and gave everyone one final look.
"Bye," you said with a wink.
Steph pressed a hand to her chest and another to her forehead before letting out a loud gasp and falling against Duke.
Laughter escaped you and you turned back towards the door. You were ready for anything... well maybe not anything but close to it.
-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-
Much to your surprise little to no one noticed your late arrival. Though you did catch many people's glances at you. Probably because of the color of your dress but it didn't matter.
Damian and you entered the room and music was playing with servers walking around. It looked almost exactly like a scene from a book.
Dangling lights, people dressed in silks, furs and silver. Walls decorated with murals and stained glass in every window.
“Wow,” You breathed, “this is amazing.”
It was stunning, beautiful and whimsical all at once.
“I don’t know why you’re so stunned.” Damian muttered pulling you closer to him as you passed through the crowd, “Father hosts parties all the time.”
Showing you bumped him slightly before leaning in and whispering, “Yes but those are burning parties. This is wonderful, it’s- I am at a loss for words I can’t explain how wonderful just the look of this is. If you want me to be amazed by a Wayne party do something like this.”
Damian snorted before loudly remarking, “Fine we’ll get this place just for you.”
You gave Damian a confused look for a moment before deciding to go along. Leaning on his arm you smiled causing him to go stiff for a moment
“You really will?”
Batting your eyelashes at him you smiled sweetly, Damian went still, and his breathing nearly stopped.
Elbowing him you kept your eyes on him and he blinked. Clearing his throat, he looked at you and nodded.
"Of course."
His voice was softer and for a moment it felt like the whole room was staring. Letting out a breath you pulled away from him smiling.
"Yay."
Your heart seemed to skip a beat and Damian began guiding you towards a table. You stopped and sat down. Damian sank into a seat next to you and you looked eagerly towards the dance floor.
"Should we dance?"
Damian shook his head and looked out on the dance floor eyes narrowed.
"No, here is a perfect vantage point."
You opened your mouth to say something when Damian locked his jaw. He looked... upset seemed too weak a word to use. Maybe questioning him wasn't the best idea right now.
A song passed as the two of you sat in silence. A waiter walked over carrying a tray of drinks and offered you one. You reached out to take it only for Damian to wave him away. The waiter continued on his way, and you let out an irritated sigh.
Another song passed, and a man in a black suit a few years older then the two of you walked over. He smiled as Damian and stretched out his hand.
"Wayne, it's good to see you. How's your father?"
Damian took the man's hand begrudgingly and shook it. Through clenched teeth he replied.
"You as well, my father had business to attend to elsewhere, so he was unable to accompany us tonight."
The man blinked and looked to you. Damian froze for a moment before gesturing to the man.
"This is Felix Christan. An associate of my father's."
The name sounded familiar but the way Damian treated him seemed cold, distant. Maybe he was just a Wayne industry associate.
Felix clapped Damian on the shoulder looking you over with a smile, "Oh don't be like that Wayne."
He looked to you and smiled, "Our fathers worked together for a while. Mine is currently training me to be the CEO for when he retires. But let's talk about something fun, important."
"Which would be?" You asked an eyebrow raised.
"Who you are." Felix smiled and Damian went stiff again.
You blinked and pointed at yourself, "Me?"
"Yes, who are you?"
Your mind raced and you realized why the name seemed familiar. He was very close with the target. Talking to him might help you learn more information. Thinking back to what Selina told you, the advice she gave you paused.
"Mystery is very intriguing. So be mysterious if you want to capture attention."
“Nobody in particular.”
“I highly doubt that.”
The silence seemed to make Damian calm down. However, you decide to reply. Leaning on your arm you gave Felix a flirtatious smile.
"Really?"
He licked his lips leaning in a bit towards you and Damian clenched his fist. He probably didn't like the guy being so close to him. The dork had issues with things like that.
“Of course, how could a beautiful girl like you be no one? And with a Wayne at that. Though it seems you aren’t with a Wayne.”
It seemed Selina's advice was working, and Damian hadn't said anything so maybe it would be a good idea to continue... and mention you and Damian weren't really here together.
"Yeah, Bruce thought it'd be a good idea if Damian had a date. He's too much like his dad and needs some good publicity. So here I am."
Felix raised his eyebrows in surprise, and you winked at him. He laughed slightly as the band began starting up a new song. Looking behind him he pulled away from Damian. Then turning back to you he offered a hand.
"Then would you care for a dance?"
"She's busy." Damian snapped pushing Felix's hand away from you.
You turned towards Damian and raised an eyebrow a bitter smile on your face. Letting out a breath you turned back towards the man. Damian had been making you sit here almost all night. You were here for a reason, and if he was going to be stubborn... you'd have to fight dirty.
Pushing away from the table you reached out and grabbed Felix's limp hand.
"I'd love too, poor Damian get jealous easily. But he has not reason too. After all I'm just the date he ignores."
You didn't look behind you as Felix guided you to the dance floor and pulled you in rather close. You met his eyes and smiled.
"Why don't you tell me about yourself?" He asked as the song truly started.
He spun you and you crinkled your nose slightly shaking your head.
"Hmm, no. You tell me about you."
"Why?"
Felix looked confused and you laughed slightly leaning in towards him.
"Because you intrigue me. And... the more I learn about you, the more you'll learn about me."
"Fine, you know my name. What's yours?"
You hummed; happy your plan was working but also feeling the burning glare of Damian on your back.
"Hmm, nobody~"
"That can't be true. A woman as beautiful as you, has to have a name, maybe one as stunning as she it."
Laughing again you shrugged.
"A name is very personal. Tell me somethings and you might learn it."
"Alright, what do you want to know?"
Swirling and twirling across the dance floor you felt like you were a princess. Your heart beating faster as it seemed you cast a spell on Felix.
"Tell me about your work, I've vaguely heard things from the Waynes and want to know if their fact or fiction."
"Good things I hope." He nervously chuckled
You shrugged smiling somewhat coyly.
"Some, you are the son of a prominent man. A reputation would precede you."
Felix nodded and began speaking.
"I work for my father's company as you know, training to be CEO. Currently I'm handling the relations between other companies. Diplomacy and negotiating are things I've learned a lot about. And I get to rub shoulders with some of the biggest CEOs in the east."
You hummed, resisting the mischievous smile that wanted to work its way onto your face.
"So, you know the man who threw this party, Anson McCluntly? I wanted to ask him where he got such a lovely idea from. I was telling Damian that more parties should be like this. It's... incredible." "It isn't the only incredible thing tonight."
Heat flushed your cheeks, and you bowed your head biting your lip. This was probably the most any man had flirted with you in your entire life.
"You're too much, I'm not incredible."
"Beautiful, funny, and humble too. What is wrong with Wayne. You're a catch."
You laughed and Felix leaned in towards you. "If you want," He whispered, "I can get us into the office old man McCluntly keeps here."
"Really?" You asked eyes widening as a smile exploded on your face.
Felix's face seemed to flush, and he nodded. Around you people began to slow, and the dance came to an end.
"Yeah I-"
"Y/N!"
You snapped your head in the direction to see Damian storming over to you. He- did he call you by-. No no, he interrupted Felix that is more important right now.
"Y/N?" Felix asked cause you to blink.
You smiled and nodded, "My name. Sorry I wasn't the one to give it."
"I'm not, it's a... a name that fits it's owner."
You smiled more and Damian suddenly was beside you. Pulling away from Felix you sighed. He gave you a sympathetic smile and waved.
"I apologize. Looks like my date's getting a little jealous... I guess I'll see you late Felix."
"Bye, Y/N."
Allowing Damian to take your hand, you started walking back to the table only to have him pull you out into the hallway. Glaring he let out a slow breath.
"What. the. hell. was. that?"
Pulling away from him you crossed your arms and raised an eyebrow.
"What was what? Oh, you mean me actually doing the thing were here for?"
Damian took in a breath before clenching his fists and taking a step towards you.
"Flirting with Christan accomplishes nothing."
"It would have. If you hadn't pulled me away. Gosh, do you really think I'm so stupid I don't know what I 'm doing? If it weren't for you, we could be leaving within the hour."
Damian shook his head before locking his jaw.
"No, you wouldn't. You don't know Christan."
Letting out a laugh you looked at Damian shaking your head.
"And you do? Damian the only friends you have outside of the family are other her-"
Damian's hand clamped over your mouth, pushing against it so hard you ended up pressed against the wall. His breathing was erratic, and you swallowed.
He pulled away from you slightly. Just enough that you could see his face. For a moment or two, you just stared at each other. Letting out a slow breath you felt Damian lean in and you in took quickly. However, the sound of a door slamming caused him to flinch.
Leaning in Damian seemed to press his head against the wall. You felt his breath on your ear and-
"We are undercover," He hissed, "watch what you say."
With that he pulled away from you and stormed back into the party. With your heart in your throat, you breathed. Slowly and carefully collecting yourself. He-he was so close and- and- God did you like it?
Shaking your head, you forced the thoughts from your mind and looked around. You were in the hall, the hall that more then likely lead to McCluntly's office.
Which means you could end this mission a whole lot faster. Letting out a breath, you pushed yourself away from the wall and began walking.
Heels softly clacking on the ground you continued to walk looking around at the doors and found nothing. You knew a little about the architecture of the building. Tim had the blueprints laid out and you got a quick glance at them before being dragged away to get ready.
From what you remember, the office should be connected to a bathroom, which you would hide in if necessary. And it didn't appear that there were any bathrooms nearby at all. Letting out a sigh you turned the corner and looked at the walls still opening to find it.
Spinning around, you looked to see if you missed something. But it appeared everything was exactly as you saw before. Letting out a sigh you turned back around only to find someone standing right in front of you.
A man in black with a wire from his ear loomed above you and you laughed nervously.
"Hi."
"What are you doing back here?"
"Oh, I was looking for the bathroom. I asked someone earlier and they said it was just down the hall, but I think I got lost. Could you help me?"
The man blinked and tilted his head when you heard the sound of heavy and fast footsteps behind you. Turning you found Damian racing towards.
"There you are!" He exclaimed
Placing his hands onto your shoulders he made you face him before saying,
"I've been looking for you everywhere."
You blinked and he shot the man who you now realized was a guard a apologetic smile.
"I'm sorry about her," His grip on your shoulder tightened for a moment, "we'll be going now."
With that he pulled you away from the guard and down the hall. Pushing a door, you thought random open he yanked you through it and outside.
"What were you thinking?" He growled before the door even closed behind you.
"I was thinking," You began shoving away from him. "Of finishing- of doing what I'm here for."
“You could have died!”
“Yes, and everyone would have been better off right?”
Damian blinked in surprise, and you shook you head letting out a breath.
"God, Damian. Do you not think I know what you think of me?"
He swallowed before opening his mouth, but you kept pressing on.
"You think I'm a reckless child who has no fucking clue what she's doing. I know that you probably think without me this would all be easier. That this mission would have been a done deal. But damn it I'm not a child. I know what I'm doing and if you'd stop being a dick and getting in my fucking way this shit would be done!"
Panting you took in a breath, your cheeks hot and something spilling down them.
"I'm not an idiot, nor do I want anyone else to be put in danger. If you'd think for one moment, you'd realize I'm not useless!"
Damian just stared at you, and you let out a wordless scream before turning and yanking the door open. Storming inside you tried to force yourself to calm down but you couldn't.
Hot tears began spilling down your face and you found yourself hiccupping as you tried to stop from crying.
"Uh, Miss?"
You looked up and found a guard... the same one maybe? Standing in front of you.
"Are you alright?"
You shook your head, hiccupping more as sobs escaped you and you took in a breath.
"Do-do you have somewhere I could take a moment... just to calm down? I-i don't want anyone to see me like this."
The guard nodded and pointed down the hall.
"Bathroom's the third door on the left."
You nodded and hurried along the way. Muttering thanks and rubbing at your nose. After passing him you realized what had just happened.
The bathroom... you were walking towards the bathroom! The office was next to the bathroom.
You watched for a moment as a woman in a long dress hurried over to a door and pushed it open. Walking forwards you looked at the now locked door and the one next to it. Hearing a door open you hurried forwards and pulled the office doorknob. It slid smoothly down, and you pushed the door open. Hurrying into the room you closed the door behind you with a sigh.
You did it, you were in!
Moving carefully forwards, you walked around the dark room towards what you hopped was the computer. Sinking into a seat you reached out and felt a mouse.
Wiggling it, the screen lit up. Blinking you noted a sticky note on the side with messy handwriting on it and you tilted your head. Did he have his password on a stickynote?
A box appeared and you shrugged, typing in the word and hitting enter. A circle appeared for a few moments.
Loading, loading, loading.
~Welcome~
Success!
Yanking your bracelet off you twisted the clasp to reveal a USB drive. Plugging it into the computer you allowed access and proceeded to download the entire hard drive. It, much like Barabra told you, happened within five minutes.
~Complete~
Letting a smile appear on your face you pulled the hard drive out and went to log out when a box appeared on the screen.
~Do you want to erase this session? ~
You almost laughed and pressed yes. The screen flickered then began to go dark.
~Logging out~
Clipping your bracelet back on you pushed away from the desk and stood up. Returning the chair to where it belonged you began walking towards the door when you heard footsteps. Your breath caught and you tried to stop yourself from moving however your foot went down and twisted. The footsteps got louder, and you launched yourself for the nearest chair.
The door creaked open, and light spilled into the room and your stomach rolled. Sniffing you felt sobs still in your throat an- sobs!
That's it! Making your jaw tremble you felt tears spilling down your face and you let out a whimper as you began to cry again.
"What the fuck?"
Blinking you pretended to look up and towards the door. Wiping at your eyes you sniffed again.
"Why are you in here?" A blurry man asked, and you thanked whoever that your mascara had blurred your vision.
"I-" You began your voice trembling, "I'm so sorry I just... I needed a moment alone and the bathroom- someone was in there."
Sobbing some more, you pushed yourself to your feet and began walking towards the door.
"I'm- I'm really sorry I'll just- I'll just go."
A hand was suddenly blocking the way and you blinked to see the man's arm stopping you from continuing on.
"What happened?" He asked and part of you knew it wasn't out of concern.
Sniffing you shrugged and whimpered.
"My- my date. He and I- I thought we were together. We've been seeing each other for a while and- and- and I thought he was going to propose. In-instead he broke up with me."
Letting out a throat burning sob you leaned against the man and shook. Feeling a hand on you head you heard mumbling. Suddenly the man pulled you away from him and wince.
"I'm- I'm sorry that happened. Why don't I walk you out?"
You sniffed, wiping more tears from your ace before looking at the man who you now could see was McClunty.
"I couldn't. I mean you're being so nice after-after I came here without permission. I should have just waited for the bathroom."
Beginning to cry again you opened your mouth only to have McClunty stop you.
"it's alright. Really. Let's go out."
He offered his arm to you, and you looked up at him. Trying to seem as pitiful as possible. Sniffing you took his arm and swallowed.
"Tha-thank you. You're being so n-nice."
McClunty began guiding you from the office and you felt him shrug.
"Well... I. crying women are my weakness."
You sniffed some more and McClunty walked you through a door outside. Across the way you saw people filing out of the building towards cars. Looked like the party was over.
Amongst the midst of people, Damian stood looking around frantically. You sniffed and McClunty patted your arm.
"Will- will you be okay?"
You nodded and wiped at your eyes again, "I- I think I'll be okay. Th-thank you for being so nice Mr-?"
"McClunty," He filled in with a tight smile.
"Oh oh I am so sorry!" You lied
"No, no just. Try to have a good rest of you night."
You nodded and slipped away from McClunty before moving towards Damian. He spotted you and moved through the crowd.
"Y/N" He began reaching towards you, "Are- are you alright?"
Biting your lip, you internally reminded yourself to apologize for this. Raising you hand you swung it at his face. A crack echoed across the parking lot and a lot of people went quiet. Glaring at him you raised your chin.
"Take me home. Now."
Damian nodded and gestured towards a limo, his cheek red and eyes wide. Walking over to the limo, Damian opened the door and you climbed in. He closed the door and Alfred turned giving you a confused look. Damian climbed in and shut the door.
Alfred took off, you waited a moment or two, till you were sure you were out of sight to turn to Damian.
"Sorry," You winced staring at his cheek.
Damian looked to you, his brow furrowed, "What?"
You gestured to his cheek and grimaced. Hand fluttering by his face you swallowed a breath and put a hand to his cheek.
"For slapping you. I- i need to but still sorry."
Damian raised a hand, placing it over yours and tilted his head.
"But- but i deserved it."
You blinked and shook your head in confusion.
What?
"I- I ruined the mission and- and made you feel- I shouldn't have made you feel that way I am sorry. But you should know I do not think you are useless."
You blinked a few times and a breath escaped you in shock. You opened you mouth to speak but Damian continued on.
"You are not useless L/N. And I do not see you as a child. You are..." He paused looking your face over, "Annoying."
A snort escaped you and Alfred chuckled before Damian's face and ears flushed.
"Real charming Wayne." You remarked.
"No- What I meant was, you- I don't- ugh. I do not interact with you because I tolerate your personality."
"Smooth."
"I interact with you because of you."
What? Furrowing your brow, you opened you mouth once again to speak but Damian raised his free hand to cover it.
"Let me finish."
You nodded, but he didn't move his hand.
"Ugh, this is difficult. More so then Grayson said it would be."
He had talked to Dick? But what about?
Looking you in the eyes, Damian swallowed and took in a breath.
"I have discovered that I care for you L/N... in a romantic nature."
Damian let the breath out and nodded. Removing his hand from your mouth and the one covering yours he nodded.
"I am ready for your response now."
You let out a laugh and removed your hand from his cheek. He cared for you in a romantic nature. What the hell was that supposed to mean?
"Does," You began pressing a hand to your forehead, "Does that mean you like me?"
He let out a breath before shaking his head.
"I love you."
You blinked once, then twice. Your heart skipped and your lungs screamed. Your jaw dropped for a moment, and you laughed. He loved you... he loved you.
"I- I don't know what to say Damian."
He furrowed his brow and took your hand into his.
"Do you not believe me? I can- I will do whatever you wish to prove it."
You shook your head even more shocked.
"No- no I believe you it's just. You- is that why you've always treated me like a kid?"
"I never treated you like a child... though I did prioritize your safety more often then naught."
You began laughing, hard, throat burning and body shaking you laughed. Pressing a hand to your face you pressed your back against the door of the car.
"You love me? Ha, I never-"
Covering your mouth, you forced yourself to stop laughing. Stop laughing as your mind raced to figure- to understand what was going on. He loved you and- and all this time you've been trying to prove you weren't a kid and- he loved you.
"It isn't that funny." Damian muttered
You blinked looking up at him and shook your head.
"I'm- I'm not laughing at you. I just... I think- I think I love you too. Nd I'm wondering how I- How I never realized it."
More laughter spilled from you and Damian blinked. You lowered you hand, hearing the sound of the window between the back and the drive go up.
"You- you feel the same?" He asked eyes wide and mouth tight.
"Yeah, I think so. But- honestly Damian, you didn't blow the mission."
Damian blinked and shook his head.
"Yes, yes I did."
"No, you didn't"
Pointing to your wrist you smiled brightly and slid towards him. Pulling the bracelet off of your wrist you dropped it into his hands.
"I was able to download McClunty's entire hard drive. He found me and I made up a story about you and I dating and then breaking up. It's why I hit you. He seemed to buy it and..." You trailed off looking up at him.
"You," Damian began before smiling, "you are infuriating."
Your jaw dropped and you gave him a shocked look.
"Excuse me, I just saved your ass! Without me this mission would be a complete and total failure!"
"You're right." He reamrked leaning in towards you.
"You never would have been able to pull off the distressed woman routine."
"You're right."
"You definitely wouldn't have been able to convince everyone that I dumped you." You remarked crossing your arms feeling his breath on your neck.
"You're right.
"Quit saying that!"
You turned and found him right in front of you, eyes soft and warm.
"Whatever you wish... can I kiss you?" He whispered
Your heart hammered in your chest, and you replied, "Only if you admit you couldn't pull this dress off."
"I can't you- you look-. When I first saw you L/n- Y/N. You took my breath away. It was hard to think seeing you and now... now I-"
You flushed and scrunched up your nose.
"Oh, stop with the compliment and just kiss me already."
He smiled, his hand upping the back of your head and he pulled you in remarking, "Of course beloved."
SBI with a horror streamer friend head cannons.
*Ahem* tommy wanted to paly a game with you so you choose a game that didn't look like horror until the middle. He screamed at the jump scare and it made both of your chats so happy.
When phil decides to play with you there is literally a silence after a jump scare. Everyone thought he had a heart attack and honestly so did you until he spoke up about accidently hitting his mute button when he jumped.
Wilbur. He's a bit better then tommy but more scared then phil would be. Any little noise won't get him but when it starts to get noticeable the noiseless to him. The jump scare, he'd fall out of his seat and stay on the ground for a bit. You ask if he's good and he literally doesn't answer. He's dead. You killed him. Congrats.
Techno. He'd handle them a bit better then everyone else. Not as good as you but heisnt very paranoid. He literally runs at the noises trying to get jumpscared. While you run after him telling him to stop because if he doesn't then you'd lose and die. And technoblade never dies.
If you all play together both tommy and wilbur pussy out. Techno last the longest and phil the second longest. While you remain the ruler of horror games.
Now how you all met was dream invited you to the dream smp to add to the chaos. Needless to say it got extremely chaotic due to you being on almost 24 hours. You first ran into techno. He seemed confused and skeptical.
You both found eachothers love for potatoes. You set up camp quote close to techno but not too close.
Phil popped in when he needed something for a build and noticed a new name. Talked to you in chat and asked to join your VC. You both found each other talking for a bit.
Wilbur was next. Wilbur got curious over the new person and just hoppedinto the same VC as you techno and phil. He was quick to realize that you were a famous youtuber. Mainly for your horror videos and your extreme Parkcore skills.
In minecraft that is.
Tommy noticing that all of you were in the same VC joined in with shouting. He was low key jealous that everyone was obsessed with you. Then he saw why.
You literally cracked jokes at his shouting.
"Is that an angry pomeranian? Nah nah. It's an angry child. Even better an angry blonde!" - you.
He was shocked and immediately started joking and laughing with you. He wasn't fully angry for long.
Now about your diet. When they heard that you had only eaten ramen and drank angry drinks they were concerned. You lived quite close to techno so when you guys met up he was shocked that you looked as healthy as you did.
He hated the fact that you literally didn't eat anything else.
You told him occasionally you have something other then ramen but you were just too lazy to really cook anything and that you didn't feel like burning the house down.
One month phil, tommy, wilbur, and techno decided to organize a month long sleep over so that they could celebrate your birthday. Phil being quote the father figure cooked different, but easy dinners every night just so you didn't eat only ramen that day.
When they actually arrived though you got a text from Phil asking about your address in your dms. Not think much of it you just sent him your location.
You were going to take a small nap. Just to bost your energy before you went and streamed later that night.
As you were sleeping there was a car heading to your house.
Phil, wilbur, tommy, and techno were all just existing in the car. And when they arrived to your house they didn't expect to actually see a clean house.
You woke to a loud knock.
When you opened the door in your half dazed state you expected a package. But to see four people standing on your porch.
You nearly jumped out of your skin.
You were stuck there blinking at them.
Finally snapping out of it you let them in. Confused on why in the ever loving fuck they were here.
Phil explained they were here to celebrate your 21st birthday and they were here for a month.
You stared at them for a while. Confused on what to do since you haven't had people over in almost 2 years.
But you got use to it.
So when you got done streaming and smelled something other then ramen you were thrown off guard. Like what was that. I haven't smelled that in years.
But after the second day you got use to it too.
For your birthday phil literally made a feast.
Like he found your favorite food other then ramen and cooked it. With that he prepared everything you could dream of.
Your sleeping habits. Let's dig into those.
I'm in no place to talk as right now it's 3:05 in the morning. And here I am.
But when they are over they don't let you stay up till no 3-4 in the morning. They all know the importance of sleep.
But there are those nights where no once can sleep and it results in a late night stream. And streaming for hours none the less.
The amount of accidental all nighters everyone has pulled was immense. But that's what happens with jet lag, adhd, and insomnia.
Literally you get tired randomly. Sleep for only 3 hours. Wake up. Drink coffee, energy drinks, highly caffeinated tea. And don't sleep till late at night.
Pillow forts.
It's a must and it happens. Horror movies, pillow forts, and snacks. Like you all are in this massive fort, watching horror movies, one by one you all are falling asleep. You and techno were the last up due to technos active mind and your body not letting you sleep.
You two literally just vide there, changing the movies from horror to some silly animated movies, like how to train your dragon, frozen, Luca, and many others.
You two pull an all nighter and it's actually a bet to see how long anyone else takes to notice.
You bet an hour. Techno says all day.
You won. Philza notices the worse eye bags under both you and technos eyes and immediately starts scolding.
He is papa bird and he won't let anyone of his children neglect their needs.
"Did you even drink water at all? You guys should of been sleeping not binge watching horror movies all night!" -philza
You could only offer a smirk, along with a laugh.
"I think we did I just can't fully remember. Also we were watching animated films. Not horror. Surprised you didn't wake up to let it go." - you.
You turn to techno.
"You owe me 15 bucks pig boy!"-you again.
Handing you the money he rolls his eyes. "Yeha yeah. Rub it in." -techno.
Ah yeah they found a horror game that you were scared of surprisingly. It was actually surprisingly you hadn't played it yet.
Outlast.
You had been holding off that game until you finished your other one but here you were. Bored out of your mind.
So you decided fuck it.
That game teriffed the shit out of you. It was so good though.
When you screamed they all came rushing up due to the fact that you never scream.
They say you out of your chair, on the floor, blinking. They thought you were hurt.
But you sat up and looked at your computer.
"Damn. That was actually really good." When you looked behind you and found the boys all staring you smiled and waved.
"You need something?"-you
"You screamed. We heard a thud. We thought you fuckin died!" -tommy.
"No I'm alive. My soul almost divorced my body but it's still quite here."-you
That day made highlights.
The popular y/n actually got jump scared. The one person who never screamed at horror games screamed.
When they left you were sad yes but they were still your best friends. Ready to talk when ever you want.
Sometimes I think that you guys talk all through out the night. Them forgetting that you were actually in a different time zone.
Sometimes they pop into your streams, be it MC, horror, you just talking to your fans, or even the once in the blue moon, cheerful games.
They just pop in and start talking to you. And you talk back like they were there since the beginning.
Phil is now one of your moderators too. Along with tommy, wilbur, and techno. When they pop in they make sure no one picks on you.
And since you are now close to the SBI. You are now part of it.
You didn't choose the fans did. But they are your new family. No matter what.
Even if they disagree with your eating habit.
Or energy drink addiction.
Or insomnia.
Or you mainly playing horror games.
Or you basically living in your streaming room.
Or even the nearly 24 hour streams.
I could go on but I'm not gonna.
I'm tired. But I can sleep. 2 days and I get to have a tour of my new school.
And it took so long to finally get into it.
We have been going through a huge hassle even before school started to get me enrolled.
And then we had to get me into this program.
But now on Monday I get to go in. Get a tour. Then start either Tuesday or Wednesday.
Anyway hope you liked. It's now 3:50 and it's no proof read I'm sorry
Hii I was lowkey wondering if you would do something maybe like a one shot of neglected where reader is older (18-20) and dipped out of the house and became a singer and one of her songs basically exposed them for how they treated reader and in like an interview she full on tells them how she doesn’t even talk to them and like only Jason
This is literally perfect. I love this idea! I was planning on making a singer batsis reader anyway so here you go! I'll be making this part 4 of the series instead of a one shot. There’s a bit of angst. Btw, thanks so much for your support everyone! I'm glad you enjoy this series! Feel free to request anything you'd like besides smut as well!
This is the longest thing I have ever written so there will be a part 5. I planned on this being the last part but it's just so much. It’s not proofread and neither are all of the other parts because I post at 1 am most of the time lol. Hope you like it!
f/n = friend name
Y/G/N = your group name
N/S = news station
Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Part 4 (Current) Part 5
---
You were sick of it. Sick of how even after confronting them about how you felt and almost dying because of it, they still neglected you. You couldn't wait to move out at the age of 18, even if it proved to be a struggle. You had taken mini jobs since you turned 15 and saved up since then. You just couldn't see them anymore as it would remind you of how they treated you that day at that hospital. None of them apologized either. They just pretended it never happened and continued to ignore you. The media had a field day with speculation of what had happened but eventually stopped because Bruce had claimed it was “just a bad case of the flu” which they believed.
Jason was always the only one that would talk to you. He was the only one that actually cared enough to make sure you were taking proper care of yourself and that you wouldn't have a repeat of what happened. He took you places, spent time with you and gave you advice. You even had a tradition where you'd always meet up at the manor's library every week at the same time that same day every week and just have a mini book club together. He always made time for you and never bailed on you.
So on your 18th birthday, he helped you move out. You managed to rent a small apartment in Star City with the money you had saved up. It wasn’t that close to the manor which was a good thing. The neighborhood wasn’t good but it wasn’t as bad as Gotham’s neighborhoods so you would be fine. You could handle yourself with your assassin training if needed. You also managed to get hired at a cafe which was about a five minutes walking distance from your apartment.
It had taken a while but eventually, you had packed all of your belongings into color coded containers and moved them into Jason’s car with his help. You didn’t say goodbye to anyone as you had no friends to say bye to and you knew that your so called “family” couldn’t care less about what you did with your life. ‘This is it, hopefully the last time I’ll ever be near this place.’ You thought. You didn’t plan on stepping foot in Gotham ever again after you left. It would bring back too many memories you prefer to keep buried away deep inside your mind.
The car ride to Star City was entertaining. You and Jason conversed the whole time, telling jokes and listening to his funny tales with the radio playing softly in the background. Eventually, a song you both loved came on and you both started yell-singing along to the lyrics. You wished those moments could be permanent. You were both so carefree and nothing else mattered besides having fun and enjoying yourselves.
You now stood in the doorway of your new apartment, admiring your new home. Jason and yourself had just finished unpacking all of your belongings. You really liked how it looked and thought you both did an amazing job at designing the place perfectly according to your style. Jason, unfortunately, had to leave in order to avoid raising suspicions. Once you both said your byes, he left you to your apartment.
Jason drove back home in silence. He hated to admit it but he would miss you dearly. You were always there for him and helped him with anything. You tried your best to always comfort him and make him feel better on his darkest days and it would always work. Somehow you seemed to always have the right words to say or knew exactly what to do to help him. Out of everyone he was closest to you. He assumed it was because he could relate to you the most. More so how you felt. He’d felt like the black sheep of the family before you came, and he was. When you came, you took that role from him. It pained him to see how much their insults would affect you, even if you were good at hiding it. He could just tell.
Jason made it back to the manor after a while and went straight to the library. He didn't want to deal with the others. After the whole hospital situation, he'd never really bother interacting with them. He hated how they treated you as if you didn’t exist and hated how much pain they had caused you and that they didn’t even care. He guessed that they'd probably be doing something for Damian's birthday and forgot that you were his twin. They probably couldn’t even remember that Damian had a twin.
He made it to the library and pulled out one of his favorite books. He’d read it so many times you’d often joke that he could probably recite the whole book by heart at this point. Sitting down in a chair, he started to read. However, he couldn’t bring himself to stop thinking about what it would’ve been like if they treated you how they did Damian. The both of you were Bruce’s real children. You both even looked like clones of him! At first, Jason thought you would’ve been the favorite twin due to your personality. Even though you were twins, your personalities were polar opposites. You even refused to kill! You were trained by the League so why didn’t you kill as Damian did?
Jason knew you would benefit them greatly if you joined. You had self control, didn’t kill, could act perfectly, lie perfectly, do well under pressure, and not to mention your skills. Being raised by the League may have been torture, but you managed to gain incredible skills out of it. You could take on at least ten guys who doubled you in size and beat them within five minutes. You even bested Damian in spars and he was supposedly dubbed the “better twin” by Talia, so why hadn’t they let you join their nightly crusades like they had let Damian when the both of you first arrived?
Damian passed by your room but noticed something was off. He decided to take a look. He twisted the doorknob and pushed. The room which was once occupied by you now looked extremely plain and bare, stripped of all of its accessories. The only things left were the bed itself, multiple dressers, and a vanity. It looked as if it had been vacant the whole time. It might as well have been. Damian couldn’t really remember what it had looked like since he’s never paid much mind to it but he could tell there was a drastic difference. He knew that you disliked just leaving your room plain unlike himself and wanted at least something to make it look less boring.
He couldn’t help but wonder what had happened. Had you finally been kicked out by Bruce? Did you get shipped off to a boarding school like he had been suggesting to your father for years? He decided to go ask. He exited the room and closed the door behind him, taking off for Bruce’s office. Walking down the hall, he suddenly remembered that he had seen you leave with Jason. This meant that you were not at a boarding school like he had originally thought. But then why was your room vacant?
Instead of going to see Bruce, he decided to go see Jason and bring up the matter with him instead. He changed directions and headed to the library where he knew he’d find Jason. It was no secret that Jason was a book worm so Damian had a fifty percent chance of finding him there.
He entered the library and was immediately greeted with the sight of Jason sitting comfortably on a chair, legs crossed with a book opened in his hands. Jason didn’t bother to look up from his book as he spoke.
“What do you want Demon Spawn?”
“I’ve come to obtain the whereabouts of my sister.”
“You mean my sister?”
“She’s not your sister!” Damian exclaimed.
“Well I act more like a brother than you do.”
“Where is Y/N? Her whole room is bare.”
“That’s for me to know and you to find out.”
“Just tell me, you imbecile!” Damian said, growing increasingly frustrated by Jason’s blunt answers.
“She’s not here.”
“Then where is she?”
“Not here.”
“Just tell me already Todd, I have no time for your foolish games!”
“She moved out.” Jason said, giving in.
“What?! Where.” Damian demanded.
“Why would I tell you?”
“Because I demand to know!”
“Okay and?”
“Tell me!”
“No.”
“Why not!”
“Because you don’t even care.”
“And you do?”
“Yes, I actually do Damian! I’m there for her when she needs me the most. I’m there for her while she’s watching you live the perfect life that she’s just a background character in! While you and the others ignore that she even exists! I’m there for her when she breaks down and has panic attacks! And what were you all doing to try and help her? Nothing! Absolutely nothing!” Jason snapped.
“Y/N’s fine, I know my twin!” Damian screamed.
“Do you even know what her favorite color is?” Jason questioned in a harsh tone.
“...” Was Damian’s reply.
“Exactly! You don’t! You and the others have never cared about her, so why all of a sudden do you care now? You don’t know anything about her so don’t act like you do!” Jason then stood up and walked out of the room in a fit of rage.
Damian stood there, shocked. Had Jason just refused to answer his question? He was about to follow him but decided against it. Why was Damian going to chase Jason down just for her? She was just an annoyance, a mistake, imperfect. He had been wanting to get rid of her for so long, so why doesn’t he feel relieved? Why does he feel guilty? He decided to stop dwelling on it and get on with life. He figured it would happen eventually if it hadn’t happened then.
---
It had been a year since that day. The day you left your old life behind and started a new life, a better one. One where you weren’t constantly ignored. One where you actually had more than one person care about you. Instead of seeing yourself as a failure and disappointment, you now saw yourself as an amazing person (which you always were). You had been going to a community college in Star City. You made many friends there and started up a music career with three of them.
Their names were f/n, f/n and f/n. You all started off by taking random gigs anywhere you could. You performed covers of songs and would receive standing ovations all the time. Seeing as your group was well liked, you decided to write and produce your own songs. At the age of 19, Y/G/N released their first album. It went viral within a day and everyone was talking about it. After a week, several articles were posted, praising your work. News Stations talked about all the records Y/G/N managed to break. People started to stream it like crazy, and you couldn’t be happier with all the positive feedback you were receiving.
You had been a Wayne once, meaning you had experience in dealing with the media. Since you had already been used to it, you knew you’d all eventually be invited to interviews. So, when you had received an email stating how N/S wanted a one on one interview with you, you weren’t sure how to feel. You weren’t looking forward to interviews with your whole group, let alone one where you would be alone. You knew how unfiltered interviewers could be and didn’t feel comfortable with it.
However, you decided it would be best to go. So here you were, sitting in front of the interviewer in an uncomfortable chair preparing for the interview to start. You had somehow managed to keep a smile plastered on your face the entire time while you were a nervous wreck on the inside. You hoped none of the questions would be sexist as they usually were towards women. However, you had no more time to think about that. You heard clicking, signaling that you were about to go live. Once you heard the last click, you knew you were live and the interview had begun.
“Hello everyone, welcome back to N/S. My name is Jerald Tangleberry and I’m here today with songwriter, singer, and celebrity, Y/N Wayne! How are you?”
You waved to the camera and then answered, “Hello everyone! I’m doing good, how about you?”
“I’m doing great, thanks for asking! So by now I’d assume everyone knows that you’ve released an album with your group. How does it feel to gain more fame?”
“It doesn’t feel any different. Fame wasn’t our goal when we released the album. It was to express ourselves.”
“Mhm, well Ms. Wayne, what inspired you to write songs?”
“Well we know people may be in a tough spot in their life right now and want them to know they aren’t alone.”
“That’s so true. Some fans have been speculating that every member has three songs that specifically relate to them since there are twelve songs in total and three of the songs have the same group member as the introduction part of the song. Is this true?”
“Yes, it is true.”
“So all three of your songs relate to family issues of some sort. Is that hinting that you have family issues?”
“Yes, actually. My family isn’t the best. They ignored me all the time, even when they weren't busy. The only person who didn’t was Jason.”
“You’re saying it in the past tense.”
“I moved out about a year ago. When I was around 14, I suffered from anorexia. My family would always ignore me since they were either busy doing work or hanging out with each other. The only family member that acknowledged me was Jason. I assumed it was because there was something wrong with me. I started to hate myself so much to the point of starvation. One day, I passed out right before a gala and my oldest brother Dick found me passed out on the floor. They took me to the hospital and when I woke up, Bruce, Dick, Tim, and Damian started fussing about how I’d ruin their image if the media knew what actually happened. They started to yell at me and told me how I was a useless burden. I started to have a panic attack so I kicked them out. Jason stayed behind with me and comforted me. Ever since then I made a planed to save enough money so I could move out when I turned 18, which I did.”
“Oh, wow. So Jason was the only one who interacted with you?”
“Yeah.”
“Looks like the Wayne family isn’t as perfect as they seem.”
“No family is actually perfect.”
“Did your family try contacting you at all after they found out about Y/G/N?”
“Not yet. They’re probably too busy or don’t care.”
“I’m sorry to hear that.”
“It’s alright, I got over it. What’s the next question.”
“Oh-” He cleared his throat and continued the interview. (So basically I don’t wanna bore you all lol)
---
Jason had woken up late into the afternoon that day. Patrol that morning had exhausted him. There was a huge breakout at Arkham they had assisted with. They successfully locked up every escapee, so today, Jason just wanted to relax until it would be time for patrol again. Even though he was exhausted, he knew he couldn’t take a break. The others wouldn’t and it would be unfair to them if he did.
He headed over to his couch with his phone and a bowl of popcorn in hand, ready to watch random movies the entirety of the day. He set down his phone on the coffee tables and grabbed the TV remote. When he turned on the TV, he almost dropped the popcorn and remote. You were sitting on a chair, giving an award winning smile while you politely answered the man’s questions. He was baffled. He didn’t know why you were being interviewed, let alone on TV at all! You made it clear you didn’t want to have any relations with your family any longer and you couldn’t stand publicity, so what were you doing?
He placed the bowl down and snatched his phone off the table. Unlocking his phone, he quickly dialed your phone number. However, he realized that the interview was live and that he would be interrupting it if he called you then. Deciding to wait, he placed his phone back down, picked up the bowl, and then got comfortable.
Hello!
Can i request again?
So... Fluff really fluffy. Old Mc with Old warlords.
Please don't kill them. 😭
IkeSen Boys + Growing Old With MC
Note: The children of the warlords are taken from historical record, but please know that not all scenarios are accurate as I had named some children to fill in the children who were unnamed.
To be honest with you this is probably the longest ask I've ever done, over a period of 4 days of editing and characters so I hope you enjoy the fluffy family content! It's cut for length. Also... I couldn't add so many tags so please share it if you can!
Nobunaga Oda
You were excited for this particular day, since your oldest son, Nobutada was finally coming home from a skirmish he had settled. The Owari province was long handed over to your sons, as you and Nobunaga lived peacefully in the edges of Azuchi, away from the city.
You had waited a long time to see your children once again, although not all were in Azuchi. With 21 children in total, both adopted and from birth, most were of similar age. The only few that lived with you were your youngest daughters, Oushin and Ofuri who were adopted at the same time. Youngest was a stretch, considering they were both 19.
Your other warlord friends were due to visit soon, including Hideyoshi. Throughout your years, you never comprehended why no one interested Hideyoshi as a romantic partner. Although, your heart eased, remembering how Hideyoshi would care for your sons as if he were their own.
Your thoughts were interrupted by your husband, as he plopped next to you, taking in the serene view of the empty field. In his hand were a bag of konpeito. Hideyoshi would be angry, but you weren't so as you managed to control his candy-loving instincts. You took a few to nibble on yourself, as you leaned against your husband.
"What were you thinking of, my fireball?"
You hummed, wondering how to respond. "About the future perhaps?"
"Good," he said. "I've been thinking... I wouldn't change a thing. But..."
You leaned into him, tickling the hairs of his neck. He flinched away, peppering you in kisses in retaliation as he continued his thought. "I want to travel once again, with you."
"I won't say no... But why not travel for longer?"
The moment your friends gathered, you and your husband announced your decision. Your children were surprised but the older warlords weren't. Masamune also teased Nobunaga, saying how he grew tired of a tranquil life. It wasn't long before you contacted Motonari, and the Oda couple were due to sail to Portugal.
"My years with you gave me the greatest life, YN."
Hideyoshi Toyotomi
It was not long before the day of your 20th marriage anniversary with Hideyoshi, but you woke up to a missing husband. Hideyoshi, being the way that he is, never stopped working for Nobunaga. Years went by, and you and Hideyoshi had a family of two sons, Hideyori and Tsurumatsu.
Your oldest son, Tsurumatsu, welcomed you instead in the morning. Your oldest was the spitting image of Hideyoshi, except that he took your eyes. It was as if you were looking at a younger Hideyoshi, and you commented on it, "With a sword like that, you remind me of your father..."
Your son's attitude however, resembled Ieyasu more than anything. Well... Ieyasu was his favourite warlord uncle when growing up. Tsurumatsu denied any of the sort, and insisted he accompanied you around Azuchi. You were internally grateful that your sons took after your husband's gentleman-like attitude, although at times when living in an estate with all three, it could get overbearing...
As you looked over the local fabrics, your hands traced over a fabric that you thought would suit all three of your boys.
"Princess YN?"
"Lord Mitsuhide!" Your son quickly bowed to the other warlord, but Mitsuhide gave him the respect to get up. The sudden appearance of the two bachelors, one older than the other, caused an uproar of the unmarried women of the market. It got you to think why Mitsuhide never settled down...
Your trip with your son ended in the front gates, where your younger son Hideyori and your husband Hideyoshi stood. Hideyoshi welcomed you wholeheartedly.
Hideyoshi escorted you around town, and you held onto his arm as you did before, and you two reminisced about the memories you had in the town together.
"20 years married..." You muttered. "Time flies huh? The boys have the townswomen swooning over them just like you did back then..."
"I only had eyes for you, YN..." He said. You huffed, teasing him about how he was in denial about his feelings the entire time. Hideyoshi grew red at your teasing, with you pulling him down to your level, kissing him on the cheek.
"For these 20 years with me YN... Thank you for telling me to live and staying with me."
Mitsunari Ishida
Your life never slowed down despite Mitsunari's calm approach to life. It was a joyous occasion for the Ishida clan throughout the years as you and Mitsunari had a wonderfully, large family of you both and 6 children.
Mitsunari still worked under Hideyoshi, with your third son Sakichi following in his footsteps. The week was busy, with you preparing for two weddings for your second and third daughter.
All your 6 children followed in the steps of Mitsunari in terms of worshipping Ieyasu. It was so much so, that one of your son-in-laws was Senchiyo Tokugawa. The warlords were long gone with their aggressions, so you were surprised when Mitsunari and Ieyasu arranged Kennyo to officiate the marriage.
Kennyo had been a neutral force after the birth of your first son Shigenari, as he even offered to bless your child. Kennyo himself never settled down, but he focused on rebuilding the temples instead. Mitsunari was quite the supporter, but Hideyoshi let an insight that it meant a lot to him since before Mitsunari studied in a temple.
You and Mitsunari returned home after a long shopping trip with the two oldest sons, Shigenari and Shigeie. Mitsunari nowadays forgot his things more and more, but his hatred for carrots continued. Your sons disappeared somewhere else to eat their carrot snacks, as you sat with Mitsunari in his study.
"You've never changed, Mitsunari..." You said, preparing some tea for him.
He reached out to your own hand, helping you pour. "I'm sure I'm improving on my tea manners!"
The silence never settled between you two, as no matter how much time had passed, you two never ran out of topics to run out of. You comforted Mitsunari as he confessed how sullen he felt about your daughters leaving.
"If anything... YN, in my time with you... Thank you for marrying me."
Mitsuhide Akechi
You moved to Tanba permanently, and you gave up your rank as Princess. With Mitsuhide gone for his missions, you'd answer to the other warlords. Somehow, it lead you to the title of 'Lady Akechi'.
It wasn't long before your first daughter, Tama, was to come of age. Mitsuhide was a private man, so it was only to be held with the other warlords and your entire family. You and Mitsuhide had a small family, but they were equally cherished by the others.
Yoshimoto arrived at Tanba earlier than expected. You had become fast friends with him, despite Mitsuhide's dislike. You had reassured him multiple times that Yoshimoto had no interest in you, but at times you had questioned why Yoshimoto never married...
"Tama! Yoshimoto is here!" You called out for your daughter. She was most likely with your youngest daughter... Yoshimoto had agreed to come and help Tama put together her hair, with the accessories he had collected.
It was not long before your daughter was finished, and by that time Mitsuhide with your eldest son, Mitsuyoshi, returned. No matter how many people were in the estate, your husband kissed you on the cheek, as it was customary to do.
Mitsuyoshi made faces, but was silenced by his much more mature, younger sister. Yoshimoto was quick to escort the three siblings outside, where Kyubei was waiting to bring his Lord's family to Nobunaga's Castle.
"Mou... Mitsuhide, the children are waiting... It's Tama's day today..." You muttered, as he continued to kiss you.
"Our children are adults, YN..." He said, holding you close. "Let your husband indulge in you for one more kiss... For now, and all our coming years..."
Ieyasu Tokugawa
In celebration, you decided to throw a banquet for Ieyasu as he announced he was stepping down from work. It was lively at home, with 16 children and a small army of rescued deer over the year helping you to decorate the house. You and Ieyasu, besides the deer, adopted children over your 20 years of marriage who soon became close with your 6 biological children.
You hurried to prepare the grand hall, but before you could fully lift the box full of tapestries, it was quickly carried away.
"Mama... You're not allowed to carry heavy things anymore," A blond man told you off, as two other men carried the vases away.
"Nobuyasu... Ogimaru... Hidetada..." You smiled at your three eldest sons. Ah, your heart warmed at how considerate they've become. It made you feel like a proud mother... "You three returned from Kenshin's lessons?"
The gap between the Oda and Uesugi-Takeda forces closed, and Kenshin grew close to your family. He never had children of his own, so you were enthusiastic when Kenshin treated your eleven sons as his own, even taking some to learn the sword by him.
"Mama! Don't be distracted! Let us fix you up!"
From behind you, your five daughters swarmed you, wrapping you up in a cloth you sure you bought this week... and it was untrimmed...
"Tokuhime! I haven't trimmed that cloth!" You turned to your other daughters, who were also holding makeup paints and hairpins. "Kamehime! Ichihime! You don't have to throw your jewellery to get my attention!"
"Mou... Mama, Father will be so happy to see you dressed up~" Your third daughter, Furihime chimed.
Matsuhime, the fourth daughter, joined in. "Without our help, your kimono might be too old fashioned Mama..."
Oh... Things were lively with all your children back at home... Your sons finished decorating the hall, and as a token you decided to do your daughters' hair to match them to your hairstyle.
You were last to enter the hall, as the boys wanted to greet their father first. Your daughters entered next, and all Ieyasu saw through them was you, and the way you raised them made them blossom into the people they were today. When you entered... he swore he stopped breathing.
"YN... My wife..." Not much was said after, but the blush on his face was enough to show how much he loved it, as well as his hand gripping onto yours tracing every finger of it.
Masamune Date
You would like to think that your life grew much more peaceful, but with a chaotic husband like Masamune, and four equally chaotic children like him. The Date forces as a whole were also chaotic. It was safe to say that Lady Date was one who took care of them all, no matter how big or small.
It gave your husband the great idea of planning a surprise birthday party for you with his children. As a warlord, he was not Ishida Mitsunari but he could still plan a well thought-out strategy...
"Irohahime, Muuhime, you are to distract your mother at the market. Kojuro will give the signal when we're ready."
They nodded. "Yes Dad."
"Hidemune, Tadamune. You know when to start the fight," He reiterated.
"Yes Da-"
Ieyasu, who came earlier as a guest, spoke up. "Why am I a part of this?"
"YN will only break a fight if it involves people outside our family," Masamune explained, flexing his arm. "She knows we're tough as nails..."
Ieyasu Tokugawa remained a bachelor, although he never explained why he didn't. Masamune had a little bit of a hunch, but he isn't one to pry. Ieyasu was an undeniable favourite of his daughter Muuhime, who gained an affinity for medicine.
"Tough as nails?"
Your family was dumbfounded that you stepped in the decorated hall, with your husband and children, with Ieyasu in the corner with a bowl of spicy soup. Kojuro had kindly lead Lady Date into the hall, despite of the plan as no one in the Date palace dared to defy YN LN.
For a room full of adults, your family at the moment were not acting like one. It was typical, but you had to wonder what the fuss was all about. Tadamune, the closest to you, was someone who couldn't lie to you, and told you the truth. It ended quite simply, as you insisted to help prepare.
In the kitchen with Masamune brought back memories. The whole time you and your husband were cooking, you played around with the ingredients as you did back then.
"My wife... you have a little flour on your face. Should I wipe it with my fingers or..." He wrapped his arms your waist, brushing his lips on your ear. "Kiss it away myself?"
Ranmaru Mori
You and Ranmaru decided to leave the Oda forces once you both got married. Ranmaru was mainly the reason, as he wanted to keep a neutral stance for your safety.
Ranmaru grew much taller over the years, but he wasn't as towering as the other warlords. You didn't mind as much except for the period of measuring out new kimonos for him. You both lead a quaint life, with Ranmaru working as your courier for your sewing work.
You and Ranmaru never had any children of your own, instead opting to become foster parents to other children whose parents were in war efforts or children that were orphaned from incidents.
Many children came and went, some of them leaving and never returning but there were the few that stayed. Ranmaru was still actively talking to the other warlords through letters, so you weren't surprised when he said that he intended to take you back to Azuchi for peach season.
It was no surprise that Hideyoshi gathered the entire town of Azuchi to welcome you both. It was nice to meet friends you had missed, as well as the daughters of the warlords you worked for. They awed at you, but to you it was as if you had adopted many, many girls resembling your friends.
"YN-hime! Etto... Do we call you YN-hime?" Tatsuhime, the oldest daughter of Mitsunari, asked.
"Of course! Even if she's not in Azuchi Castle, all our uncles say that she's the best princess!" Tokuhime, Nobunaga's oldest daughter, chimed in. "I may be Azuchi's princess but I can't fathom comparing myself to YN-hime!"
You shushed the girls, getting overwhelmed easily by the compliments and praises showered on you. You gave a peak to Ranmaru as a plea for help, but he added the cherry on top to the compliments instead.
"YN, YN... You know you're the best princess in my eyes!" He said, kissing your hand.
You were sure Ieyasu's daughters poked at their father with teasing of following Ranmaru's example. Others, like Mitsuhide's and Masamune's daughters, began to swoon that Ranmaru was more romantic than their fathers.
"I think that's enough Ranmaru... Let's save the romantic lines for our walk in the garden..."
Keiji Maeda
Oh what memories you had with Keiji over the years... For one, you were glad that the allegiance between the Oda and Uesugi-Takeda worked out, as you and Keiji decided to live together during that time.
You were shortly married after, with Keiji inviting Naoe as well, which lead to Kenshin being invited... plus Sasuke and Yukimura... not to mention Shingen as well... In the end it resulted in another gathering between the Oda and Uesugi-Takeda which you were glad didn't turn out violent.
Keiji was quite the family man himself, for after 20 years of marriage you had raised 10 children together, with 4 biological children and 6 adopted children. They had all grown up, married off to someone they love, leaving the once rowdy house now empty and quiet.
Keiji never stopped supporting Nobunaga, working almost as much as Hideyoshi on some days. You lived quietly, occasionally accompanying the wives of the other warlords as you never gave up your title as Azuchi's Princess, but it was obvious that you missed your entire family.
Keiji was always good with knowing your mood. Much to your surprise, you came back to an empty estate... but there were voices? One roaring voice sent you running to the main hall, where you opened the doors and there were your children, sitting around their father as he told more of his old war stories.
Overwhelmed with emotion, you shed a few tears as each of your children went up and hugged you.
"It's been so long my children..." You said as you hugged your two daughters.
"Mom, don't cry! If you cry... I'm gonna cry too!" Your first son, Keita wailed. He was taller than his father but it was quick to see that Keita, and much of the large boys of the family treasured you as their mother.
"Hoi hoi you rascals!" Keiji called out, getting up to walk to you. "Your monstrous heights would crush your mother!"
You moved into a hug with your husband, feeling Keiji lift you up. "My dear... they wouldn't," You grinned, finally laughing. "Keiji... Thank you for bringing our family together."
Kenshin Uesugi
Being crowned Lady Uesugi, you and Kenshin got busier and busier every year. It was an occurrence for the scribes of Kasugayama Castle to trail your relationship with Kenshin, as by the end of the day, it was a habit of his to take you on a stroll with your many, many bunnies.
There was not a soul in Echigo that did not hear of your marriage, Many were welcomed, but at the time no one thought that there would be a larger party than this. That was... until it was announced that you were pregnant.
It was an uproar, especially with Kenshin going around to everyone, saying how you were with child. To your surprise, your family of supposed three become a family of four as you were blessed with twins.
Kasugayama Castle was the home of your twins, Kagetora and Kagekatsu. Kenshin was proud of them, and they grew up to follow in their father's footsteps to take over the Uesugi clan... or that's what you thought until you realised how stubborn your husband was. He was making them work hard for it in their teen years when they expressed their interest in it.
Ah, but of course... Your three boys would always recharge with you, talking about their day. If one thing, they never learnt to share...
"What? You're drinking tea with Mama? But I wanted to show her the fabrics the merchants showed me!" Kagetora yelled at his older twin. Besides sword fighting, he grew up with an interest towards strategy, which was under Mitsunari's influence. He visited as often as he could, but you wonder if someone would ever catch Mitsunari's eye...
"An oaf like you wouldn't know how to brew tea like this for Mama..." Kagekatsu retorted, setting the pot down. He gained an interest for elegant arts similar to his father, and of course his favourite uncle is Yoshimoto.
Both glared at each other, but it was not long before the God of War entered the garden, with his many bunnies. "And why are you bothering my wife?"
"Father! Don't talk as if we're strangers! We're your sons and we wanna spend time with Mama too!" Kagetora retorted.
Kenshin drew his blade, challenging his sons that the winner gets to spend the afternoon with you.
"Ehem!" You coughed out, folding your kimono under you. "Boys, what's my number one rule in the garden?"
"No fighting and no swords..." Kagekatsu muttered.
"That's right," You said, taking a cup for yourself. "Now, why don't we all just sit down and have some tea?"
Sasuke Sarutobi
You and Sasuke didn't rush your lives in the Sengoku, since coming from the future meant a busy livelihood. You both agreed that when you both grew older, you would relax a little and not worry about the larger things in life.
Sasuke kept you in Echigo, as you stayed close to him and his other friends. You both had no intention of moving, but you did have an idea to own an estate to yourselves. There was no intention of children from both of you, so you decided to become foster parents to children with majority of their families at war.
You had only fostered about 3 children, but similarly, they too had extended families that they stayed with instead. The both of you learnt how to let go, ever since staying here, but that was something you both grew from. Finding out you both let go of the children you cared for, Yukimura had asked if you were interested in taking in his nephews and niece.
Yukimura himself never married, and you never asked, but he was a dear friend that you and Sasuke would sacrifice a lot for. Yukimura's orphaned nephews and niece were quickly known as your children, and Sasuke would always read them Physics Theorems as a bed time story...
It was a joyous occasion whenever those three would come back, and sooner by that time you realised you had gotten older. There was a small room where you and Sasuke kept your modern items, coincidentally was the room you would often have tea in.
You sighed, taking another bite of your bun. "Sasuke... I know we've lived quietly, but I've wanted to know if you ever wanted to return?"
"There's nothing I would've changed, YN... Not a single thing." He smiled, brushing his hand over yours. "Maybe... maybe there's another timeline, but you're in this one so it's where I am."
Kanetsugu Naoe
He continued to serve his years under Kenshin's reign, but then it was a moment of realisation of how time passed when you told him you were pregnant. It was a moment of stress for him, as he wasn't knowledgeable on the process.
It was recorded by the scribes of Kasugayama Castle that when Azuchi's Princess gave birth, Kanetsugu shed tears as if it were raining. That is to say, he cried a lot. You had a son, Kanetsuna. Much like his father, your son grew up to admire the line of Kenshin Uesugi, becoming close friends with Kagekatsu and Kagetora Uesugi.
Those three went off adventuring so much, it often worried you. Kanetsugu, with his curt self, would reassure you in his own way. It wouldn't help you much, since Kanetsugu would also talk about how helpful Kanetsuna was being towards the Uesugi family line.
You always busied yourself with your sewing, so you often used your son as a model to model your kimonos after. Kanetsuna never had an interest in fashion, but he would always walk up to women in the streets to go and buy your kimonos whenever you would open the shop.
Needless to say, most thought you were available for a marriage interview instead. Kanetsugu was surprised to see you carry home so many letters addressed to your son. Somehow, he was proud but wary.
"How did our son even resemble Shingen's charm? I'm aware he has my looks, but this is a bit much..." He adjusted the glasses he wore, taking more letters off your arms.
"Our son is of age, Kanetsugu and don't flatter yourself too much," You said, setting the letters aside. "You weren't a charmer but you steered clear of women..."
He turned red when you brought up his past self. His blush went away the moment you kissed him cheek, wrapping your arms around your husband. "It's alright, my husband... I certainly fell hard for you."
Shingen Takeda
How you lived in bliss with Shingen... It was not long before Kai was returned to Shingen, and he worked hard to build it up from the state that it was left in. Shingen created a loving community in Kai, and it was no question a homely place for you and him. Nobunaga claimed that the crops he gifted on your wedding were a gift, and you thanked him for that. Despite the time that passed, Nobunaga never took a spouse, so you wondered when he would marry too.
The whole community was in joy when you were with child, which prompted Shingen to throw an entire festival to bless your first born. Years went by, and you bore four sons for Shingen. Kai was now famous for its festivals, since Shingen insisted on one for every child you both had.
Kai, in turn, had a festival for every season and every son, with each having their birthdays in a particular season. Katsuyori was in the summer, Harukiyo was in the spring, Nobuchika was in Autumn and Yoshinobu was in Winter. The particular festival this time around was for Nobuchika, your second son and his 20th birthday.
You sighed, remembering the times the boys were younger. How they would run around, and how Shingen would swing them around hanging off his biceps. It was about 20 years of marriage, so you could still attest that he had the biceps, but your sons were far too tall to swing off their father's arm.
"Remember how they would swing on my arm?" Shingen said to you, taking a bite of a sweet bun.
"Mhm... Katsuyori would always fall off..." You replied, sipping your tea. The both of you watched as the new generation of the Kai people set up the tents, and raked the leaves off the walkways for the guests. "But Nobuchika was very stubborn..."
"It was always adorable how you'd panic, my Goddess..." He teased, pulling you close. "Not like I minded... Ah, and how Yoshinobu would sleep on Koro's back..."
The teasing was uncalled for, but Shingen couldn't stop swaddling you in his arms, relishing you in his kisses. You laughed, and your gleeful smile is one he'd always want to see on you.
Harukiyo, the youngest, nudge his other brothers. "Hey... Do they know that we're still here?"
The other three shook their heads.
Yukimura Sanada
Throughout the years, you and Yuki had 11 children together, with a mix of adopted and biological children. You were surprised that Yuki even had the confidence to take care of so many children with you, since Yuki wasn't exactly a paternal type either...
Another thing was, out of 11 children, you only had four sons... with very similar names that you can't help but give nicknames to them!
"Yuki! Dai! Help your sisters carry this heavy pot!" You yelled. In a rush, four young adults plus your husband came from their training, spears in hand, at your call to the garden.
You always wondered why Yuki insisted on naming two sons Yukichika and Yukinobu and the other two Daihachi and Daisuke. It always confused the others, especially Shingen when he couldn't tell them apart.
Besides that, all of your children had gained a love for some kind of weaponry. The only exception was your oldest, Kiku, who decided to become a healer instead. You fully supported their interests, but you still had to lay down some ground rules about weapons...
It wasn't long before three of your girls came back with Sasuke. Sasuke continued to be a favourite of the Sanada family, especially with the triplets, Okane, Oshobu and Oume, who had an affinity for throwing stars and knives. The last three girls, Ichi, Naho and Akuri were fans of archery instead, which their father taught them as well.
Speaking of Sasuke, you were glad that he treated the children as his own. You never asked why he never did adopt a few, or get married, but you were sure it wasn't right to pry.
It was always a big dinner with the Sanada family, but after dinner Yukimura would always take you somewhere else, be it the study or the garden, for his alone time with you.
"Time passes by huh..." You muttered, reaching in the tiny jar of fish snacks.
Yuki hummed, stroking Muramasa's coat as he listened to how your day went. No longer did he insult you as often as he did, but that boyish attitude of his never changed.
"Oh by the way... I arranged a marriage interview with Kiku and Katsuyori!"
Yuki spat out his drink. "T-Takeda Katsuyori?"
You hummed. "Kiku really likes him, and the feelings are mutual so-"
Not a word was to be said about what Yukimura screamed. Except for the fact that you replied with, "Kiku is 23 years old."
Yoshimoto Imagawa
Yoshimoto wasn't someone you'd imagine wanting a family, but then you realised that Yoshimoto really wanted to pamper any children you had. It was a slow process, but over the years, you both had 5 children, with 4 daughters and a son.
Your four daughters were well-known for their beauty, especially with mentions of their lineage as the phrase of 'Elegance of Imagawa and Beauty of Azuchi's Princess' was repeated several times over. Yoshimoto would not stop gushing over his own children, no matter how old they were.
Your only son, Ujizane was much more interested in becoming someone like Yukimura but he was also famous for his calligraphy works. It was an understatement how many pieces were commissioned by Kenshin and Masamune.
Yoshimoto however, has no concept of approaching romance when it came to his own child. He so happened to eavesdrop your conversation with your second daughter, Reishou.
"Ah! I can't look at him Mother! He's... He's very charming!" The usual stoic Reishou hid her face in her hands, her body swaying back and forth.
"Now... did you send him that letter I told you to do?" You said, patting her on the back. "Yoshinobu was it? He's a nice man..."
"But... But... the messenger accidentally sent it to Harukiyo Takeda! He mixed up the wrong brother..." Reishou told you, tears coming from her eyes. You wiped them away, hugging her close, and telling her it was going to be alright.
"Father? What are you doing in front Reishou's room?" His first daughter, Chotoku, asked, a hand to her hip in wonder. She wasn't as quiet as her father, her mannerisms and voice loud and clear. The 'eep' from the room was enough for him to bow down in shame as he saw you exit Reishou's room.
You ushered Chotoku to comfort her younger sister, as you dragged your husband somewhere else.
"Now Yoshimoto... you should apologise to your daughter," You said, finishing your lecture about why he shouldn't listen in. He pressed his head to floor as he listened, bowing to you as you went on about how he should be supportive.
"I... I understand my wife. Thank you..." He said.
"With that said... The five of you can come in now. I'm done with the scolding..."
Oh, the embarrassment he felt...
Kennyo
He was embarrassed to tell you that he had planned out his future with you when you found him pacing around about names for your future children. You and Kennyo lived in the reconstructed Honno-ji Temple as a wedding gift from the Oda forces.
There was no further issues between Kennyo and the others. After all, they were getting older and no one would want to make you upset. You were still friends with many of them, especially with Ranmaru. He was someone who would deliver the gifts from the warlords to you, especially when you were with child.
Kennyo was ecstatic when you were pregnant, but he was scared. Looking back then, Kennyo would get shy whenever you'd bring it up. You however, would tell him not to worry as he was a great father to your three sons.
Kyounyo, Junnyo and Kenson followed in their father's footsteps, specialising in several different aspects of the religion. Kenson, the youngest of all three however, was the most interested in travelling, most likely from the stories he'd hear from Ranmaru and Motonari.
Your three children easily mingled with Motonari's, but you always wondered why Ranmaru never settled down. He was still doing his own work, which worried you enough as he was almost a workaholic like Hideyoshi.
Kennyo's birthday rolled around, so you decided to make a special party for your husband. As you focused on the food, you tasked your three sons with work to distract their father as Kennyo's other subordinates helped with the preparation.
"Father! I wanted to ask you about this text!" Kenson carried papers about a sermon to his father, as he saw his father exit the main temple with a package in hand.
He held out his hand to his son's head, ruffling his hair. "I'm afraid not today, my son. I have to see your mother."
"Wait, but father-!"
One by one, they all failed and the surprise was ruined, but Kennyo wasn't aware of what he had done. He was so focused on giving you the said package. He only notice what he did when he saw the disappointed face of his wife, a face he was indeed weak to.
"YN-! Apologies my wife... I'll pretend as if nothing happened..."
"Father... Father has a one track mind huh..." The sons whispered amongst themselves.
Kichou
You never imagined finding a place where you and Kichou belonged. After all, your relationship in itself was out of place from your other friends. That was, until Motonari asked if you both wanted to travel around the world. You were on board, and after much prying, you and Kichou were travelling around Asia.
Most of your post-wedding years was spent with Kichou travelling to many places, although you would say that you both found a place in what you know today in modern Japan as Shikoku. The Island was not far off Motonari's reach, so you had some familiarity with it.
There was no rush to start a family straight away, especially considering that you moved away from the friends you were accustomed to. Kichou's work wasn't interrupted at all, but he did ask Motonari to help you out with finding what suited you. Somehow, someway, the assistance popularised your kimono work not to mention your fans from Azuchi and Echigo travelling to commission your work.
It was smooth sailing financially, and sooner down the line, Kichou asked if it were alright to adopt children. You agreed, and you found yourself raising a pair of twins with Kichou. They were fraternal twins, but they were quick to adapt to you and Kichou's home.
Kichou enjoyed the family life much more than he thought he would, and he realised it the moment you said your son expressed an interest in marriage to one of the village girls.
Your son, Yoshitatsu, bowed to his father as Kichou listened to his appeal. Kichou was loving but at the same time, he was strict with the twins.
"Father! Please let me marry this girl!" He bowed deeper, pressing his palms to the floor.
Your daughter, Myoinni wasn't around since she decided to be a part of the Uesugi army. Your son instead focused on business, which you assumed was where he met this girl.
Kichou was silent, but a soft nod was enough for your son to jump with glee. You rubbed your hand over his, giving him a kiss on the jaw. You felt him lean into you, so of course you praised your husband. "Kichou... You did well."
Motonari Mori
He was someone who you thought wouldn't be one to settle down, but Motonari was much more attentive than you thought. He knew that one day, he'd have to stop but he'd want to make sure that you were alright with whatever landing spot you chose to stay at.
After much deciding, you and him reached an end point of perhaps moving to the Aki province, his hometown. At first, he was uptight about it since he didn't want his family to meddle with you. He wanted to keep you away but the way you loved his hometown... He couldn't help it.
He had to gain control of his clan before he brought you in... Although it was a faster process than expected since you were pregnant... Which was not planned...
It took about a year for Motonari to accomplish it, but by his will he was going to make life comfortable for you and your first son, Takamoto. It was great for you and Motonari then on, and most in the Aki Province knew you as Lady Mori. You and Motonari may have also adopted a few children, totalling your children over the years to 12.
There wasn't much to complain about... except for the fact that Motonari had a naming gig... Which made things difficult...
"Moto! Help me with this-"
6 boys... and your husband... came running... Then you had to choose which one to help you and it wasn't even all of the children. "No no... I only wanted Motoaki to help me..." You said.
The other boys and your husband made protests about it, asking why you wanted that specific brother.
"What? Is it because Motoaki's good at arithmetic?" Motoharu asked.
"Like you could ever do arithmetic..."
"Shut up Motoyasu!"
"Oh yeah? Fight me Motomasa!"
"How undignified..."
"Don't try to be the proper one here Motokiyo!"
Motonari was the one who could break up the fight, but he didn't want to. You sighed, going back inside where your three daughters were as your nine sons and Motonari battled it out...
"Girls, let's go out to eat..."
obey me! demon brothers + realizing they’re in love with mc
prompt: the order in which the brothers would realize they are in love with mc (sooner → later).
word count: 1,277
a/n: i know i said this in an earlier post, but the goal going forward will be to (hopefully) post my writing—commissions included—on weekends. i have quite a few concepts and rough drafts sitting in my notes that i still need to finish writing and editing. so far, it’s just a matter of finding the time to actually do it. but if anyone has any prompt lists they want to throw my way too, i’m open to finding additional inspiration!
1 → Mammon
Outwardly, yes, it would take him a while to drop the instant denial front he constantly threw up whenever someone accused him of having feelings for you. But inside? He knew he wanted to spend as much time with you as he possibly could and shower you with gifts he’d try to save up for or earn. And if it was possible to get a matching gift, then he’d splurge a little extra because it meant something more connected you to one another and was a special thing shared between you—and ONLY you two. Hell, with your permission, he even left the occasional t-shirt or jacket in your room—and even secretly stashed his toothbrush in your bathroom due to passing out after too many late-night movie marathons. Sure, his brothers’ constant teasing annoyed him to no end, but even Mammon couldn’t deny he was greedy for your time. He loved you so soon and suddenly, wanting to hold your hand and never let you go.
2 → Asmo:
Without a doubt, Asmo knew he was attracted to you from the moment he laid eyes on you—although it wasn’t your physical beauty that snared him but rather the aura you exuded. Of course, the physical attraction was undeniable to him as well so he couldn’t help the showering of compliments that rained from his lips; he is, after all, the Avatar of Lust, and actions such as those were completely second nature to him. It started with the lingering touches, though, when he realized something was amiss this time. His skin warmed unnaturally wherever your brushed against his—even if for just a moment—and lingered on him throughout the day. It never truly hit him until he’d regularly seek out your company for seemingly platonic or romantic reasons—without desiring any future sexual gratification. Obviously, those thoughts occupied his mind and the flirting with you never ceased—unless you asked him to, of course—but after centuries of experiencing lust and adoration, love consumed his heart, and he merely wanted you to feel the same for him in return.
3 → Satan:
With all his knowledge of fictional romance in TV shows and books, Satan was convinced he would truly know a romantic love—if he were able to experience it—by the excitement and explosive emotions it carried. However, he was quick to discover it was quite the opposite with you: The rage he carefully concealed with polite smiles and intellect was blanketed in warmth and peace whenever you were around. It was a sudden shock to him, the first time he realized he wasn’t consumed with anger, and all because he was in your presence. The demon regularly sought your company, adoring your attention—whether it was listening to him discuss the plot twist in a mystery novel he was reading or showing you his favorite spots in Devildom he never shared with his brothers. He was never in denial about his emotions for you; all he knew was that a human saw kindness and good in him, and he wanted to prove—at least to himself—he was worthy of such good.
4 → Lucifer:
It wasn’t so much that Lucifer would ever be in denial of these feelings—once he’d realized he was in love with you, it was like every nerve was set on fire—but rather he was concerned hi emotions would compromise Diavolo’s goals. Every moment you spent laughing and smiling with his brothers rather than with him left the demon frustrated and hopelessly hollow believing he couldn’t keep you as close as he’d like. Even the slightest graze from you, however platonic or intentional, left the spot blazing from your touch. You were meant to drive him crazy in the worst possible ways and yet all the traits he wanted to despise were only found endearing. Your stubbornness, your kindness, and your curiosity—all attributes that should have maddened him to no end, he noticed, came from a place of love as well. The demon may struggle to consider a human to be his equal, but he’ll never question his love of your presence, your smile, your touch, your damn—well—everything. And as much as he wouldn’t want to jeopardize Diavolo’s plan, loving you makes him doubt every other thing.
5 → Belphie:
Even if his hatred towards human quickly faded upon the discoveries of Lilith and her connection to you, opening himself up to the idea of being in love with you was a genuinely jarring concept to him. Especially if you found it in yourself to forgive him for, you know, killing you, Belphie wanted to prove himself worthy of your forgiveness in the first place—even if he tended to be a little shithead going about it. Like most of the brothers, he was rather needy for your time and attention, but where they often showed you their favorite spots in Devildom, he sought quiet areas around the House of Lamentation where the two of you could be alone. Something about you was so soft and warm to him. Honestly, most of his dreams were filled with visions of your smile and laugh, your body pressed snuggly against his. Maybe he wasn’t the most forthcoming with his love, but he never shied away from telling you how much he wanted to live with only you and Beel forever. He’s a demon with some regrets—hurting you being at the top of the list—but being the reason for your smile eased the guilt bit by bit.
6 → Levi:
An overwhelming sense of confusion and denial would leave him on the fence for a long time until he’d come to terms with his feelings towards you. And honestly, you couldn’t really blame the demon—Levi’s main loves for years have been 2D characters so suddenly developing such strange emotions or an attraction to a real human would be damning to him. It couldn’t be helped, though. For all he had tried to push you away or disregard your norm opinions, he couldn’t help how giddy he’d get whenever you’d agree to watch a new anime with him or introduce him to a new idol band. He was wholeheartedly convinced you must clearly be doing this out of pity or something—no matter if your heart was truly in it or not—because even his brothers never seemed to give his interests the rapt attention you offered him. He could be alone in his room and only think of how it’d be better with you there; or how he wanted to keep you so close, your fragrance would linger on his clothes so it was as though you were always with him.
7 → Beel:
Unlike some his brothers shacking up in a state of denial, Beel took longer to realize he was in love with you simply because he could never put his feelings into words. He knew he enjoyed spending time with you—rooming with you while Belphie was “away” was one of the initial highlights of your first stay in Devildom—and he was one to admit he considered you family to him, caring for you as he does for his brothers. Except, it was different. Maybe because you weren’t his actual family but his chosen family? He was never sure for the longest time. And yet, you were the only one he offered any of his food to and went out of his way to invite you out for dinner—which, in his mind, was a completely normal and friendly thing. But it’d strike him down like a bolt of lightning, realizing all of these feelings, once you’d offered to make him human food, and boy was he a goner.
me, after being diagnosed w adhd and starting medication: wow for the first time in 8 years i’m actually paying attention in class and actively following what my professor is saying. i think i will do some homework now so i am not overwhelmed later. uh oh my dishes are starting to stack up i think i will clean them instead of starting a new pile. hmm my room is getting a little messy i think i will put things away including the clean clothes on that chair i’d been avoiding putting away for a week. i am following our conversation and i will wait until you are finished until it is my turn to speak instead of blurting out or interrupting you. oh i just got paid! hmm do i really need all of that online shopping stuff..? i think i will wait for a little bit and come back to it if i rlly want it bc what if something happens during the week and i need money to pay for it? oh i have to go to work it’s a 14hr shift; i am able to complete the tasks i need to do with ease bc i know what to do and when to do them and am no longer overwhelmed. i don’t need to drink that energy drink bc i know it will just make me more sleepy and i’ll doze off at the wheel on the highway and i don’t want that! ok i’m home yawn i think i will try n go to sleep it’s 11pm and i am genuinely tired.
PAIN - Chapter 1 {Shouta Aizawa x Reader}
Tumblr media
Story summary:  You’ve been away for so long, for over thirteen years. As soon as you graduated, without saying by to the man you like and your best friend, you left. Not even leaving  a note, Aizawa and Yamada had to hear from your female best friend, Nemuri that you were going to join the I.H.A.C, the International Hero Agency Commission. You became the best hero there, saving so many people with tactical precision, but you’re always overworked yourself, to the point where you’ve dropped and fainted while walking to your office. Concerned for you, your boss called your old principal, who’s been looking for a new teacher to teach about stealth and rescue operations. Deciding to send you, even though you’ve adamantly refused, you’re finally coming home... a place you abandoned a long time ago.
Chapter summary: You were with your teammates, discussing how to write up a report, this were the worst part of your job. That’s when you’re called to your Unit Chief’s office, the man who represents your team with the Higher Ups. What does he need, and who do you see again?
A/n: MERRY CHRISTMAS!! This is the second gift I have for everyone! Keep in mind that I have not started the second chapter but I’ll see if I can get it out before the end of the year... but I can’t promise that...In the prologue/ sneak peek, I had your female best friend be Mirko, but I changed it to Midnight, because she was the only one who went to school with Aizawa and Mic. I wrote this in three days and took one to edit. So enjoy this first chapter and hopefully there will be more to come!
Word Count: 4.2k
Chapter 1 - A Decision of a Lifetime
You were sitting at a table, in the conference room with your teammates, discussing how the report should be split up. Who should take cultural impact, how the people reacted, the steps we took to bring stability and what not. You were currently arguing with one of your male teammates, someone who you’ve but heads with before. This was nothing new.
“I’m telling you, I should take this part, I was there during the Rancin incident. I saw everything that happened!” Your teammate, Chad Barrymore, argued, slamming the papers on the desk.
You rolled your eyes, “but who’s the one who actually solved it? Oh right, it was me!”
The rest of your team was sitting around, some looking at their phones, some already starting on their assigned part of the report. One of your teammates even took this opportunity to catch up on some sleep.
“Chad, who was assigned leader of this team?” You questioned, already knowing the answer.
He groaned and rolled his eyes, “you were,” he mumbled under his breath.
You smiled and assorted the papers in front of you back into the file you had.
“That’s right, me, Y/n L/n, not Chad Barrymore. Alright? You’re the best at the budget report and justifying why we used over 200,000 american dollars over our budget,” You smile sheepishly at him making him glare at you before snatching up the papers and putting them in his own file.
“Fine, but that doesn’t mean I’m gonna like it,” he grumbled, making you shake your head and roll your eyes.
“Who actually enjoys doing the reports?” You questioned, mostly  to yourself.
“I do!” Your teammate, Mariposa, popped her head from ehr laptop where she had already started her part of the report.
You shook your head and laughed with the rest of your teammates, “Mariposa, you are one in a kind.”
“Y/n L/n, You’re needed in Agent Prowess’ office, Agent Y/n L/n, you are needed in Agent Prowess’s office at this instant
” The announcement went off, making you groan and plant your head face down on the table where you and your teammates were sitting.
“Uh-oh, someone’s in trouble,” One of your teammates, Michelle LaRue, teased, poking you in your back.
You swatted her hand away from your body and slowly lifted your head up and looked around,
 “Why me,” you groaned, slowly getting up for your seat.
“Maybe you’re finally getting that promotion, you’re literally the youngest here but you’ve been here for over thirteen years, the longest out of anyone here. it’s time for you to finally get paid your dues!” Another teammate of yours, Ian Adewanju, exclaimed.
His words made you burn red with embarrassment, reminding you of the fact you are 31, you are the youngest one on the team yet you’re the one who's been here the longest. You shook your thoughts out of your head before turning around and heading out the door to go to your Unit Chief’s offices. You had just gotten back from a sting operation in Aprain, helping their forces uncover a huge child position ring. There were villains with very strong quirks, and that country's heroes were outnumbered by the ring’s villains so they had called us. My team especially to help narrow down who was the leader and how they should go about freeing all the children they trafficked. We were given temporary hero licenses and stayed there for about a year, being those countries’ heroes until they were able to get a stable enforcement system in place. After that, we come back to base, on an independent island, where we stay for 4-6 months until our next mission.
And there’s always another mission.
You reached Agent Prowess’s office and knocked on the door a couple of times. You waited for a response before you could enter.
“Come in, Agent L/n,” You heard his muffled voice call out.
You opened the door and immediately closed behind and stood guard, standing up straight and placing your hands behind your back.
“Agent Prowess.” You greeted, looking at the wall behind him.
You didn’t see the person who was sitting on one of the couches, wasn’t your concern yet. Probably someone who just wanted to meet you in person.
You heard a couple of paper shuffling around, “at ease Agent, I want to introduce or rather, reintroduce an old face from your past.”
Your face twisted a bit in confusion, you stopped looking ahead at the wall and looked at your unit chief. You then noticed a white blur sitting on the couch in front of your boss’s desk. You got a closer look. And then you froze.
It couldn’t be
But it was, it was your old principal from U.A. What the heck was he doing here? What would the Principal of one the best hero schools in Japan, top two and some say they aint number two. You tried not to show your surprise in your face but you knew Principal Nezu knew you better than that, but he said nothing as he continued to sip the complimentary tea that Prowess always offers to his guests.
“You remember Principal Nezu, don’t you Agent L/n?”
You took a deep breath and nodded, not saying a word. You could hear the clanking of fine china hitting the table before hearing a throat being cleared.
“It’s good to see you again, Ms. L/n, it’s been over a decade since I last saw you. At your graduation, I believe.”
Before you could stop yourself, you mumbled “It was the last time anyone saw me.”
Prowess’s throat cleared and you closed your mouth quickly and lowered your head. You could hear a hum come from Nezu. You tried to ignore it as you waited for Prowess’ instructions.
“L/n, I’m gonna be honest with you. I’m worried,” Prowess started, making your head shoot up in confusion.
Worried? What is he talking about? You were confused, did you do something? Was something in your reports wrong, did someone complain about your behavior recently that you weren’t checking in within yourself? You doubt Prowess would have let you walk around with so many complaints about your behavior without telling you about it or having consequences laid out. Your mind raced through all the possibilities that could have happened.
“Agent L/n, we can hear your mind racing 5 miles a minute. Calm down, nothing happened concerning your work ethic. You’re a good agent here and a good hero as well,” he started to explain.
He gestured for you to take a seat on the couch in front of the one Principal Nezu was sitting on, you glanced at him and your boss before slowly walking over to the couch and slowly sitting down on it.
“As you know, you were recruited from a hero course school, which is very rare as you were recommended to us by one of my peers. You came here straight from graduation and have never let up. You’ve been here since you were 18, barely even an adult in the world. You were one of the top students in U.A, who had the potential to be something great, but you came here, a place where you’d never get fully recognized for your accomplishments.”
You sighed and leaned back into the couch, wondering where this conversation was going. This was information you already knew, things that you lived. You remember when you got the recommendation, the talk with Principal Nezu and your homeroom teacher. When they were talking about your options with your older cousins.
“Prowess, I’m not understanding, why are you telling me this?” You couldn’t help but ask him.
You still weren’t understanding why you were here with your old principal in front of your new boss. You looked in front of you to find a poured cup of tea right front of you. You glanced up at Nezu who simply looked at you with a smile. You scoffed before grabbing the teacup and taking a sip.
Chamomile, with honey, nice
“You were one of the youngest recruits here, and out of your training class, you’re one of the only ones who’s still here. This job weighs on people and a lot can’t take it after a while.”
“But you’re still here,” you interrupted his spill.
“I came here after being a hero in America for over 10 years, the high rise lifestyle wasn’t for me. Most of the recruits we got were sidekicks that needed a place to go, heroes who still wanted to make a difference even if they couldn’t work anymore. You were different.” He noted, opening a file, your file you assumed.
“You immediately came from the hero course in U.A, you had some of the best offers one could have ever have been given, even a sidekick offer from the current #2 Hero in Japan, am I correct?”
You sighed and nodded, turning your head to look at him as you finished the tea. Prowess gave of a soft chuckle before continuing to flip through your file.
“You decide to come here, out of all places. An isolated island, away from everyone with limited english skills as well
 I questioned it, my superiors questioned it, but you were one of the best, if not the best we’ve ever seen. We couldn’t give up a gem like you, because you decided to come here
 but we should have let you go sooner.”
You froze, mid-way of putting your cup down on the table, and slowly turned your head to look at him. He was staring at you with concern, a look you hated seeing with him but was a regular occurrence with you.
“Last week, before you came back to base. You were admitted into the hospital for extreme exhaustion, for the 16th time. Your teammates were concerned about you. I’m concerned about you, and I should have put my foot down about your own well-being.” He said, leaning back in his chair.
“I didn’t because we were getting an amazing track record, your team was being asked for specifically. You have been overworking yourself, not recently but for the last 13 years,” You rolled your eyes he said that but he caught it, “don’t roll your eyes, you know it’s true. You’ve been overcompensating for over 13 years.”
“I don’t know what you were running from but it was obviously too much for you to stay in Japan but now I want you to do something for me. Principal Nezu is in need of a teacher, a teacher that can teach aspiring heroes about stealth and rescue operations. And I know that you were the perfect person for the job, you are the perfect person for the job
”
Your anger roared through before you could stop it, the cup in your hand was crushed by a cloud that you summoned on accident.
“Deep breaths, Ms. L/n. Take deep breaths, we’ve had issues with your anger before
” You heard Principal Nezu say in Japanese, hearing the language you once spoke all the time.
You felt your hands shake as you took deep breaths and leaned back into the couch. You placed your head in your hands to stop the shaking but that just triggered your legs to start moving up and down in its stead. Your face felt wet, you licked the side of your face and tasted the familiar salty liquid. Tears.
“So what,” you garbled out, “you’re forcing me into retirement to go and teach some snot-faced brats?”
“I’m making an executive decision to let you go before you destroy yourself, Y/n
 I’ve always seen you as someone I need to look out for, even if you were the most capable at your job
 you were never the best at taking care of yourself.”
“I didn’t have an excuse of how to get you out but until Principal Nezu here asked for someone here to be a teacher at U.A
 I knew it had to be you,” He finalized, closing your file before handing it to Nezu.
You said nothing as the exchange of papers went on. You were sinking back into your thoughts.
So that’s it huh? After 13 years of giving your life to help people, helping people off the grid. And now I’m being sent back to the place I ran away from. Run away from everything that’s haunted me for most of your life huh
?
“L/n,” he called out.
You slowly turned your head to look at Prowess, who was handing you some papers. Your retirement papers were in his hands. You sighed before reaching over to grab them from his hands.
“I know you’re mad at me, but trust me on this
 It’s time to let you go off this job and find something else, something else that makes you happy and not want to overwork yourself to death. It may not be teaching, but it’s definitely not here.”
You looked at him with low eyes before getting up and walking towards the door, not waiting for his permission to leave his office.
“Ms. L/n, I know this isn’t ideal, but know that you are the best person for this job
 just trust me on this
”
You sighed at Principal Nezu’s words, and turned your head slightly to look at him.
“We’ll see about that, Principal Nezu
”
                                                           ---
You didn’t return to your teammates after that, heading straight to your room.  You laid on your bed, papers discarded somewhere on your desk. You held your pillow in your arms, staring into the nothingness that is your ceiling. You didn’t have much belongings, mostly souvenirs from the countries you were assigned to. Your walls are white and blank, the only thing you brought from Japan was a picture frame, a picture of before everything went wrong for you.
A knock came at your door. You lifted your head and turned it towards the door but didn't get up to answer it. You wanted to be alone, you weren't ready to face anyone, especially your team.
“Hey Y/n, we
 we heard about what happened. Where Prowess is sending you
” You heard the voice of Blake, one of four females on the team, called out.
“Y/n, I’m gonna be honest with you, I had a hand in your transfer
 I just didn’t realize he was turning it into a chance to force you to retire
 that you weren’t coming back at all
 that we were losing our leader for good
”
You laid back down on the bed as you registered her words. She had a hand in this? She’s the reason I have to leave?
“I know that isn’t what you want to hear but I’ve been here right beside you, I came here after 7 years you were here and I saw so much pain behind those eyes
 you reminded me of myself when I was a hero in France
 constantly throwing yourself into work,” she started to explain, making you sit up on the bed.
“Although with me, it made me lose everyone that I love. All for fame and glory, while you threw yourself in work for different reasons. You threw yourself to forget who you once were, and everything you knew about your past. Babes, I’m scared for you and I know it’s time for you to get away from this place, you’ve been in these walls for 13 years
 don’t you think that’s enough?”
Once again, you could feel your anger rushing right through you. They don’t
 they don’t understand what you’ve been through
 they don’t understand what’s waiting for you back in Japan
 you had to get away and you had to stay away from Japan, it doesn’t matter
 it doesn’t matter, he can’t
 he couldn’t find you here
 he couldn’t find you here, he couldn’t track you down here
“But I also know you, and so does Prowess, you’re running
 that's why you never took the opportunities to go home and see your family
 and that’s okay, you don't have to see them.. You don’t have to see them, but you need to get away from this desolate place.”
You threw your pillow on your bed before flopping back and laying on it. You looked over at your night table and saw two picture frames sitting on it. The one you had brought when you first arrived here, and a recent one, from a couple of years ago when you were on an island country, helping them out until they also had a stable hero system. You were with the locals and they were throwing you a goodbye party. You were smiling, holding a child of a family you had gotten close to
 the first time in a while you were happy with yourself.
You took a deep breath before turning around on your other side. You just wanted to go to sleep and pretend that you weren’t actually leaving, that you weren’t being forced to go to Japan. You could hear Blake walking away.
                                                           ---
[This conversation is in Japanese]
The air was cold, and tasted like salt water from the surrounding ocean. After Blake came to your door, you couldn't fall asleep, your head spinning after all the information that came at you at once. You grabbed a blanket, a random bottle of alcohol you had lying around and a glass before coming to the one place where you could feel like you could breath. You were on the rooftops, watching the sun go down and sipping on a glass of some kind of spicy alcohol, you honestly didn’t look at the bottle.
“I thought you would be here, Ms. L/n.” A voice called out behind you.
You didn’t bother to look back at who it was, there were only so many people who spoke Japanese here and none of them were on your team or weren’t even close to you.
“Should have known that you would find out where I am,” you mumbled under your breath, downing the rest of your drink.
You could hear him walk towards you before stopping right beside you and looking out into the horizon with you. Together the two of you watched the sun lower together. You pulled the blanket closer as you felt more chills throughout your body.
“So then you should also know I have an idea of why you're running. You can’t hide much from me, Ms. L/n,” he added.
You sighed, using your hand that held the glass as support for your head. You could feel a headache coming, making you groan out loud. Using your free hand, you moved your head around until you could feel and hear your neck crack. You felt a pressure at your shoulder, and you looked over to find a water bottle and a couple of pills  being handed to you. You glanced at Nezu who was still looking at the horizon before looking back down at the bottle. Sighing, you took the pills and water bottle. You threw the pills in your mouth and ripped open the cap and downed the entire bottle in ten seconds.
“You’ll be safe at UA, I hope you know that, we’ve introduced a dorm system including one for teachers. I promise you.”
“Not as safe as I am here,” you scoffed.
You looked away from the sunset, placing your arm down and using it to support you from behind.
“How do you know that?” Nezu questioned.
You said nothing, which answered Nezu’s question. You could feel him turn around and start to walk away.
“Your plane will be here in two weeks, use that time to say your goodbyes and figure out your lesson plans and learn about your students. I would pay particular attention to the incoming class of 2A.”
You scoffed, 2A huh?
                                                          ---
“AND IN FIRST PLACE, IS Y/N L/N!! One of the most strongest quirks I’ve ever seen in a first year, there’s nobody to match her in battle formations and strategies, even when faced with a difficult quirk, she found a way out and was easily able to snag that FIRST PLACE TITLE!!” The announcer yelled out as the crowd cheered on.
In the center of the stadium was the stage, where the winners were being honored in front of everyone and in the center was you, Y/n L/n, with the biggest smirk on her face. Hair in a large afro puff, with a purple bandana. You were tired but you were happy, you had fought and trained hard for a long time for this. This first step to creating the path to becoming one of the best female pro-heroes Japan and this world has ever seen. You looked at the rest of your peers as they cheered you on and gongradualted you on winning the U.A Sports Festival. You looked to your left and saw a close friend of yours, Oboro giving you a thumbs up. You winked and gave him one back, mouthing “good job” to him.
“Y/N!!! OBORO!!!” A loud, familiar voice called out to you.
You looked at where the voice came from and saw Yamada, your closest friend Nemuri Kayama, and him, Shota waving at you, although he wasn't waving but he was staring at you. You gave him a soft smile while you felt your cheeks burn before turning to Principal Nezu who was offering you the gold medal. You bent down, low enough for him to put the medal on you. Once you stood up, you lifted the medal slightly to get a good look at it.
First place felt so good
The ceremony ended and soon enough, you were getting ready to go home to show your family what you got, what you had won, even though you knew they were all watching you. You were tired and just wanted to get on the first train to your home when you heard Yamada call out to you again. You flinched at the loud noise, his quirk was called “Voice” after all. You turned around to find him, Kayama, Shirakumo, and Aizawa all walking towards you. You smiled tiredly and flipped your bookbag on your back.
“Hey guys
” you greeted sofly, “what’s up?”
They all stopped in front of you, all ready to go home as well.
“For someone who won first place as a first year, you look like pure shit,” Aizawa said bluntly.
You rolled your eyes, “I’m just tired, over using your quirk will do that. I know my parents will have a whole party waiting for me when I get home.”
“Well, let’s walk to the train together, I’m sure we’ll be able to get you out of your tired mood by the time we get to your stop!” Shirakumo said, turning towards the door.
You glanced over at Kayama who was looking at Shirakumo with heart eyes, you walked up to her and nudged her with your elbow. This made her snap out of her heart eyes and look at you, you look abc at her with a knowing smirk.
“Shut up,” she mumbled, making you laugh out loud.
The both of you followed the three boys out of the room and out of the school. All five of you walked to the train station, Yamada having to take a different train because he lives in the opposite direction of the four of you. You waved goodbye to him as he waited for his train and the four of you got on the one waiting for you. You all got on and immediately found seats, well for you and Nemuri, Shouta and Oboro had to stand at the poles in front of you. As you were riding on the train, Kayama got a call on her cell, possibly from her mom. She groaned and answered it, but the call wasn’t long. You could hear her voice start to rise and even could hear her mom’s start to rise. They argued for a while and then she quickly ended the call and turned to look at you.
She gave you the same puppy eyes she always gives you before she asks you the same question she always asked you before. You exhaled and looked away smiling. Shouta looked at the both of you before rolling his eyes, making you reach over and pinched him in the stomach. He grunted and wacked your hand away from him, making you smile at him before poking him and leaning back into the bench.
“Yes, you can spend the night, you know my mom doesn’t care,” you laughed , pushing her softly.
“Thank you L/n, I can’t deal with her tonight! You know she got a new boyfriend and he honestly creeps me out,” she groaned as she remembered interactions with her mom’s new boyfriend.
“You’re welcome,” you giggled, giving her a one armed hug.
“Aww, group hug!” Oboro shouted, pulling down Shouta with one arm and pulling Nemuri and you into a big group hug.
“Oboro, fuck- warn somebody please!” Shouta complained, but was ignored by said man who just pulled him closer to all of us.
We all laughed at his pain, who just made a grunt-like noise but made no movement to wiggle out of the group hug.
“Yamada would be jealous,” Nemuri said, as we all separated from the hug.
You looked out the window and smiled softly
 you were so happy...
Im making this gender neutral cause I feel like I did pretty damn good here. And it had a bit of a fairytale ending but I couldn't figure how else to tie it up prettily
Also tried of tumbler adding gaps to all the paragraphs when i copy and paste from docs to here so y'all just gonna have to deal. this fic is way too damn long for me to fix it like i normally do
Also i went over the aparent limit so just look for the words "pt2" in green for the extension
Letting go is one of the hardest things one can do. But understanding why you had to let go is harder.
You and Izuku knew each other for the longest time. Hell you were the one that lifted him back up when Bakugou knocked him down. So why
. Why after all that were you not good enough?
He never said you weren't, he'd never do that. But the worthlessness you felt as you watched her hand him a love letter. You thought, he won't accept, afterall she's one of the many girls and guys that had confessed since the beginning of U.A. Hell you were surprised Ochaco even had the guts to confess.
But the small blush and smile that overcame his face as he finished reading the letter, was one you've never seen before. In that moment you wished you'd decline coming with him for support.
The sick feeling in your stomach grew larger as they hugged each other tightly. That sickness translated into a smile when he looked back at you.
From then on, your sunny disposition was a fabrication of what once was. You didn't hate her, you even saw the appeal, having the slightest crush on her as well. You just hated that he chose her. Was the years of companionship worthless?
As the two grew closer, you grew farther and buried yourself in training and school work. Days went by, months, and by the time graduation came, you were all 3rd years.  You and Deku had become nothing more than aquaintences.
The others tried to stop your descent into isolation, Including you in everything they did, ut it wasn't the same.
"Hey Y/n." You wiped your sweat with the towel around your neck. You'd been at it for most of the day and had shed most of your clothes. Izuku was dressed casual for once and looked gorgeous in the setting sun.
"Yes Midoriya?" Ouch. When did you start calling him that? You couldn't quite remember. Deku looked over the trees, green hair blowing with fall wind. "You know we haven't hung out in a while." You took a drink of water as you sat on a fallen log. "Oh really?"
That came out harsher than needed and you both knew it. "Since we are graduating tomorrow, I was wondering if you would join us for once as a last farewell.
You didn't miss the undertone in the last comment. Deku watched in silence as you put your tank top back on. "I don't think I can make it."
Izuku's fists clenched as he glared at the floor. "Why?" You eyed his fists,"I have other things to do." Deku scoffed, "Give me a break, school is over what more do you have to do?!" "More important stuff than partying."
There was a change in the air and at the last minute, you jumped back as Deku's foot slammed down in the floor causing a sizable crater. "Stop lying Y/N! What could you possibly have to do that's more important than hanging out with your friends?! Don't you understand that this is the last time we'll have this much free time to see each other!?"
A small smirk crawled onto your face. 'Still a crybaby huh?'  tears trailed down Deku's face as he looked at you, "We haven't talked in years y/n." You would not break, this was for the best, you would not fall back into this cycle. "We talked this morning." "Hello is not a conversation y/n"
"What do you want me to do then Izuku?"
Nothing, just like you expected. "Listen Deku, Sometimes, people grow apart and..." You have to take a deep breath, cause if you don't you'd break all over again. "Sometimes we just have to accept it."
Izuku says nothing more and leaves, heartheavy. During the party,  Izuku spent his time with Uraraka, both day-dreaming about their future, though Izuku wasn't as engaged as he usually was. You sat alone in the common room, looking down at the feastivities below. Mr. Aizawa was the only one who noticed.
As a pro hero you stayed in a moderate range in regards to popularity. About the same level that Mt. Lady and Kamui Woods used to be.
Watching Bakugou and Midoriya's ranking teeter back and forth like hot potato was amusing as the fiery blond would call you to complain since he knew you would simply listen.
Your love life was non-existent besides the occasional fling with a cute chick at a bar or a himboℱ at the local gym. You weren't looking for anything sold anyways and that was not only due to your hero work, but because no one peaks your interests.
The gang of course flocked together in regards to their love lives. Kaminari and Jiro were finally a thing. Momo and Todoroki were dropping hints to each other but they are both a bunch of oblivious bimbos and that is not going to change anytime soon.
Tsu and surprisingly Mineta prefered the bachelor life and worked hard on building their teams. You were greatly surprised when Mineta asked you to come to his house and genuinely asked your opinion on trainees.
Unlike the rest, Mina, Kirishima and Bakugou, were trying to figure out the ins and outs of a poly relationship. Bakgou of course being the word if reason as the other two goofed around.
 All was in its place as you all conformed to your new adult lives. You had no faint clue where the other boys were besides Kouji's and Satou's engagement.
It was a Thursday evening when you walked into your condo, shuffling through your mail until a white envelope with gold trimming for your attention.
You are invited
.
Of course how could you forget Deku and Uraraka. When was the last time you saw those two? Most likely the last day of school. How the hell did they get your address?
You tossed the envelope on the couch and walked to your kitchen to get a bottle of wine. You spent that evening drinking the petty thoughts away, altering between cursing Ochako, to reminiscing on how they were truly a match made in heaven.
By 4 in the evening, you were beyond tipsy and could barely stand to answer the door when the bell rung.
"Whatdoya want Midoriya?" You said, leaning a little too far to the left. Deku looked at you with concerned eyes. "Are you drunk y/n?" Your roll your eyes and turn around, walking back into your home. "What does it look like?"
You slump on the couch as Deku walks throughout your home. He was alot bigger  than you remembered. His curly green hair was almost touching your ceiling as he looked at your disheveled body.
"I'm just here to make sure you got my invitation." You tug the envelope from where it fell between the cushion and wavs it in front of your face. Izuku acknowledged it as he sat down, "Well are you coming?"
You shrugged your shoulders as you reach for your glass. Izuku tried to take it away and you smack his hand. Even though you could taste the unresolved tension, you wanted to make things a bit lighter. "I don't know deku, what's the theme? If it's green then I can't come, you know that clashes with my complexion."
He doesn't laugh, not even a smile. Oh well not your problem. The bottle is empty much to your disappointment as you held the opening over your mouth. Deku sits there, fists on his knees as he makes a conflicted face. "How many bottles have you drunk?"
You slap his back, slightly impressed that his solid form didn't move. "Oh calm down worry wort!" A lazy grin comes over your face and a teasing tone slips into your voice. "I'm not an alcoholic...mmm, yet."
You both sat in silence, Deku swirling in his own emotions for  seeing you this way. You looked completely fine on the surface but he knew you better. They all knew you better. Bakugou's weekly gossip visits were nothing more than a check on your personal health.  Even Mineta had to pitch in.
"Hey Deku?" You looked off into thin air as you spoke but Izuku hung off your every word.
"Can you kiss me?"
Deku didn't mean to stand up the way he did. You didn't react, you expected it if anything. "Y/n, you know I can't do that. Why would you even ask!?" You rubbed your eyes to rid yourself of the smallest threat of tears. You weren't an emotional drunk and you weren't going to start being one now.
"Mm just thought that if you did, maybe I could get over this fuzzy feeling in ma'chest." Deku blushed, from what you. didn't know, but you did notice how he sat back next to you, closer than before. "If I do
..will you come?"
I was going to come either way idiot
"I'll think about it."
Your lidded eyes picked up on the smallest movements and you shivered as Izuku held your chin between his fingers. The kiss was gentle and nothing more than a simple press. You would have been fine with that, that's all you wanted. What you weren't expecting was for Deku to continue.
You could feel your chest flair with the familiar discomfort of things being out of your control. His rough hands came home to your face as he deepened the kiss. You couldn't help but let out a small whimper as his tongue swiped against your bottom lip and he took that chance to delve deeper.
No
You pushed him away and stood. You both looked at each other, darkened eyes and veins fluttering with adrenaline. "Why?" you whispered, voice betraying you as it cracked. Izuku held his fist over his heart where you pushed him. "I..I did what you asked." You shook your head.
No, no this is wrong
Izuku stands up and tries to console you. The words that left his lips unrecognizable.
It's over isn't it?
"Y/n calm down please and let's talk." You put your hands over your ears. "You're so selfish." You wheezed. Why was the room getting darker?
It's over isn't it?
Strong hands grip your arms and you scrape them off. "Get out."
You won and he chose you
As a last resort, Deku tries to kiss you again, holding you close back your lower back, even daring to nibble your lips as he pulls away. "Y/n can you please focus!?" Why was he making it worse? You are not a home wrecker!!
And he loves you so he's gone
Izuku helplessly watched you fall into your own thoughts as you gripped the wall so hard your knuckles turned white.
It's over isn't it?
You blindly stumble into your room and close the door, falling against it.
Why can't I move on?
Izuku tested his forehead against the door, trying to listen for any sign of life, even a heart beat. On the other side you fall into a dreamless sleep.
War and Glory
It rained on their wedding day. And in the worst way possible or made the ceremony even more beautiful as light drops of water tangled itself in Uraraka's veil.
The pictures were to die for and so was the food. "Y/n come on, take a picture with me!" You sip some champagne and prepare yourself for your sin  free facade as you walk over to the new bride.
Her dress was gorgeous yet modest, one would confuse this gathering for a party since you were forced to wear white  with her and Deku despite you explaining  how weddings worked.
You kneeled to adjust to her height as she held the camera the highest she could. "You want me to do it?"  You took the phone and held it above you. Ochaco pouted as you dwarfed her and gripped her small hands on the front of your clothes.
She smelt of strawberry's and soap.
Reinvention
Before you could pull away, she tugged your down as she came to whisper in your ear. "I know." She pulled away with the same small smile she wore since the day began. Your face mirrored one of fright and she quickly noticed.
She raised her hands in surrender as she tried to calm you down. "Hey what's that face for, it's fin-" you flinched as she reached out to touch you. Backing up, you ran into Deku who quickly held onto you to prevent you from falling.
You do your best to calmly untangle yourself from him, but subsequently jumping away as if you were on fire. The newly weds shared a look and you shivered as they both narrowed their eyes at you. Focused the same way they were when on a mission.
Fusion
Walking through the crowd of fans and distant family was no hard feat as you headed to the hotel the wedding was taking place behind. The two followed you and you tried your damnedest not to simply run.
You had almost made it out conservation free but Deku's hand quickly slapped on the side of the door before you could close it and he forced his way in as a limping Ochaco followed behind. "Come on Y/N, these heels are uncomfortable!"
You could feel tears falling down your face as you backed away from the two. It wasn't out of fear, but shame. Shame that you had feelings for your friend. Shame that you kissed a taken and engaged man. Shame that his  wife knew.
"Y/n calm down it's fine, I don't mind!" You looked at her with confusion and bristled as Deku came closer. "I told her the day after it happened." You focus on Ochaco, preparing yourself for any physical attacks the small woman might deem necessary. "I'm sorry Ochaco, I-I didn't mean for it t-to happen."
Anger at the memory filled your brain and you almost didn't notice small hands taking hold of yours.
Her attention
"It's okay Y/N." Ochaco smiled warmly at you, bringing your hands to her lips as she kissed them gently. "I don't mind, infact this was the goal for a long time." You look at Deku for some coherent conversation, "What is she talking about."
Izuku blushed, "We've been trying to get your attention since highschool. We knew how you felt and didn't mind you joining us like Kachan, Kiri, and Mina." A steely gaze with the power of Aizawa's death glare, casted over Izuku's face, "But you kept running."
Ochaco waved her hands to divert the sudden hostile energy. "Anyways, we were planning on announcing it at the flower toss." Ochaco reached into her bussom and pulled out a small jewelry case. Inside it held a silver ring, strikingly similar to the one she now wore on her left hand.
"I know we really haven't got to get to know each other that well. And I know your feelings don't lie for me but, if you would like
" Deku gingerly plucked the ring from Uraraka's hands and the both lowered to their knees. (Ochaco with more effort as the fluff of her dress almost tipped her over)
Oop looks like i went over the limit?
