Making Flink Apache Available Across Your Enterprise Data
Making Flink Apache consumable in every aspect of your company: Apache Flink for all.
In this age of fast technological development, adaptability is essential. Event-driven enterprises in every industry need real-time data to respond to events as they happen. By satisfying consumers, these adaptable companies identify requirements, meet them, and take the lead in the market.
What is Apache Flink?
Here’s where Flink Apache really shines, providing a strong way to fully utilize the processing and computational power of an event-driven business architecture. This is made feasible in large part by Flink tasks, which are built to process continuous data streams.
How Apache Flink improves enterprises that are event-driven in real time
Envision a retail business that has the ability to rapidly modify its inventory by utilizing real-time sales data pipelines. In order to take advantage of new opportunities, they can quickly adjust to shifting demands. Alternatively, think about a FinTech company that can identify and stop fraudulent transactions right away. Threats are neutralized, saving the company money and averting unhappy customers. Any business hoping to be a market leader in 2018 must have these real-time capabilities, they are no longer optional.
By processing raw events, Flink Apache increases their relevance within a larger business context. When events are joined, aggregated, and enriched during event processing, deeper insights are obtained and a wide range of use cases are made possible, including:
By tracking user behavior, financial transactions, or data from Internet of Things devices, data analytics: Assists in performing analytics on data processing on streams.
From continuously streaming data streams, pattern detection makes it possible to recognize and extract complicated event patterns.
Anomaly detection: Rapidly locates anomalous activities by identifying odd patterns or outliers in streaming data.
Data aggregation makes ensuring that continuous data flows are efficiently summarized and processed so that timely insights and decisions may be made.
Stream joins: These techniques combine information from several data sources and streaming platforms to enhance event correlation and analysis.
Data filtering: This process takes streaming data and applies certain conditions to extract pertinent data.
Data manipulation: Uses data mapping, filtering, and aggregation to transform and modify data streams.
Apache Flink’s distinct benefits
In order to help organizations respond to events more effectively in real time, Flink Apache enhances event streaming solutions such as Apache Kafka. Both Flink and Kafka are strong tools, however Flink has a few more special benefits:
Data stream processing uses efficient computing to provide stately, time-based processing of data streams for use cases including predictive maintenance, transaction analysis, and client customization.
Integration: Has little trouble integrating with other platforms and data systems, such as Apache Kafka, Spark, Hadoop, and different databases.
Scalability: Manages big datasets among dispersed computers, guaranteeing performance even in the most taxing Flink tasks.
Fault tolerance ensures dependability by recovering from faults without losing data.
IBM gives users more power and enhances Apache Kafka and Flink
The de-facto standard for real-time event streaming is Apache Kafka, which should come as no surprise. But that’s only the start. A single raw stream is insufficient for most applications, and many programs can utilize the same stream in different ways.
Events can be distilled using Flink Apache, allowing them to do even more for your company. Each event stream’s value can increase dramatically when combined in this way. Leverage advanced ETL procedures, improve your event analytics, and react faster and more effectively to growing business demands. With your fingertips, you can harness the power to provide real-time automation and insights.
IBM is leading the way in stream processing and event streaming, enhancing Apache Flink’s functionality. They want to address these significant industry challenges by offering an open and modular solution for event streaming and streaming applications. Any Kafka topic can be used with Flink Apache, making it accessible to everyone.
By enhancing what clients already have, IBM technology avoids vendor lock-in. Regardless of their role, users may exploit events to supplement their data streams with real-time context, even if they lack extensive knowledge of SQL, Java, or Python, thanks to its user-friendly and no-code style. Users can increase the number of projects that can be delivered by decreasing their reliance on highly qualified technicians and freeing up developers’ time. Enabling them to concentrate on business logic, create incredibly responsive Flink apps, and reduce application workloads are the objectives.
Proceed to the next action
Companies can take the lead in their endeavors no matter where they are in their journey thanks to IBM Event Automation, an entirely modular event-driven solution. Unlocking the value of events requires an event-driven architecture, which is made possible by the event streams, event processing capabilities, and event endpoint management. In order to promote smooth integration and control, you can also manage your events similarly to APIs.
With Flink Apache and IBM Event Automation, you can move closer to a competitive, responsive, and agile IT ecosystem.

Honestly the biggest question I have for rats 2 is, if Martyn is going to be in it... like in the main cast again or just in the server in general
Cause spoilers for those who don't know, he LEFT the world of the rats. Like literally. He in a easy way to explain "world hopped" out of there
Guess we'll wait and see till we get some news about it...

Thinking about c!Martyn, about how he believes every other character is either an NPC or a C.H.E.S.T agent. The way he doesn't let himself believe they could be real people out there.
Is that why hes so willing to lie through his teeth? Why hes so willing to screw everyone else over? Why he would abandon everyone else soon as it is beneficial for him?
It must be such a lonely existence, being surrounded by all these people, when you know they aren't real. How your only connection to real people and the outside world has been radio silent after dropping you in the middle of the ocean.
#it is nearly 6 am and i have not slept#ive just been thinking about c!martyn#he could fully just be an asshole and a liar even without the datastream stuff but.. its got to have some kind of effect#knowing the people around you arent real HAS TO effect how you treat them#knowing that you wont be sticking around for long anyways..#inthelittlewood#itlwlore#pirates smp#scurvyblr#note that i have not watched a single vod . only the edited videos of pirates smp#laauranenn

thinking about c!martyn and selfishness
(every name from now on is character unless specified otherwise)
from his perspective, it makes sense. i mean, none of them are real, right? they either aren't real, or they are and they're out to get him. and we don't know if that's true or not, either
and if they're not real, why should he care about morality? just to get an advantage, really. the only reasons he has to be nice to people is if doing so would benefit him. because they don't care, they aren't real. they're just coded to seem as if they do, as if they are. and maybe sometimes it works and it feels painfully real, but they aren't, in the end—they're all just code. it's all a faade, it's all fake, it's not real.
and yet—
graecie: yknow.. maybe.. it's because it matches the energy that you give to it. d'you ever think about that?
graecie: do you ever think about how a little bit of kindness can go a long way, in these seas.
martyn: we've tried that, it doesn't get us anywhere.
gracie: have you? have you tried that? have you tried that, really? have both of you tried that?
martyn: from day dot! first thing that happened when i got here was i got swindled by scar!
martyn: then there was all this factioning business, we saw aimsey literally perish, and everyone was just "ohhh i think we'll listen to the robed figures and we'll just leave"! nobody's tried anything to save one another here, it's just all been selfish, me me me me me, gold gold gold, glory glory glory, HONOUR HONOUR HONOUR!
kuervo: maybe you shouldn't've joined the kestrels if you cared about something that wasn't glory, and money, and selfishness.
—he doesn't like it when others are selfish. because they're supposed to behave like everyone is real. they should be nicer people, they should be better, they don't have an excuse like martyn's.
sausage: wait, what do you think it meant that we have to give up something?
martyn: oh, i don't even know
graecie: i don't know...
martyn: i don't love anything, so good luck finding what i like
(acho, graecie, and sausage laugh,, nervously? sympathetically?)
acho: that's not very good!
martyn: well, it's not good, it's just- i'm doing it for my own protection
acho: that's not something to be proud of!
martyn: i wasn- i wasn't bragging about it, i was just stating a fact!
acho: ah, okay yeah, fair enough, fair enough... ^^"
and he's tired of trusting people without reason, of getting taken advantage of, of being nice just to end up worse off in the end.
and he doesn't get attached to anything or anyone, because there's a very real chance he'll lose it, especially in his circumstances. and feeling any sort of attachment is dangerous.
(apo places lava on graecie and then removes it)
apo: oh, i'm-
graecie: ...
apo: water, water, water-
martyn: why should i?
apo: water, water, water, water, WATER!
martyn: there's plenty of water all around this island!
kuervo: i don't have water. are you gonna be okay?
graecie: yeah. i'll be fine
apo: i'm so...
apo: i'm so sorry.
graecie: are you?
martyn: you can stay with them, apo, if you're gonna be like that.
(martyn goes to and gets on his boat and sails away)
martyn: i don't have to deal with this.
martyn: i've got the stone. i've got a lead. i know cruppy's trigger word now, so if it ever decides to come near me again... can easily get rid of it.
martyn: idiots. all of em.
and he's happily petty and stubborn about things. he happily takes advantage of others' discomfort to get them to do what he wants or at least lower their confidence in doing anything else.
martyn knows how to trigger cruppy, even, and has no problems with utilizing cruppy's triggers (and what is very possibly trauma) to get what he wants.
and as much as cruppy may have done some shit, as much as cruppy is a perfectly reasonable thing to worry about—cruppy doesn't act out of pure unprompted malice, and definitely doesn't deserve to be tortured and triggered over and over again.
and i don't doubt that martyn knows this. he's able to identify trauma responses—both others', and his own:
martyn:
she's dead?
...wait, hold on. what?
when did marnie die?
how did marnie die?
.. was i there when that happened?
.. i don't think i was there when marnie died..
...
oh my god, you're right, yeah- oh, my god, i can't believe i forgot about that
yeah, she was in the hole, wasn't she? she was in the hole and she was a statue in the hole
ohhh, you're right
god, i completely repressed that
that was clearly too much for me, jeez...
—he's able to effectively utilize that knowledge to get what he wants. i think martyn is aware that what he is or at least was doing is wrong.
i just think he doesn't care that it's wrong. because if nobody else is real, if nobody else is actually experiencing any of this, then it isn't wrong, right?
martyn knows he's manipulative, he knows how to gaslight and knows he's good at it, and he's not afraid to utilize that.
martyn is his own top priority. he'll do what he has to to get what he needs. it isn't actually harming anyone, from his perspective. it just looks like it is. they aren't real, it doesn't actually cause harm.
(it's what martyn tells himself, at the very least. it's not like he can concretely tell, it's not like he can confirm. but he'd rather believe they aren't real than are, because if they are... well, he's a bit too deep into this mess to worry about that now, isn't he?)

very random lore thought that probably isn't anything: what if the datastream is, or is somehow inside of, life series!martyn?
we know they're somehow connected. even in the vtuber debut trailer, that's shown – last life!martyn is falling through the void, and is touched by a being which, from limited life's ending, we can assume to be a listener. martyn's eyes open, filled with light and tinged listener-yellow... and we find ourselves in the 'real world', with martyn encountering doc right afterwards. we also know the fourth chapter of his lore is called 'fragment wars'... which gave birth to this train of thought.
what if the LOOT shards and sites of conflict around them are (smaller) fragments, or locations of potential fragments, in life series!martyn's soul – not the ones from the games, since those are too large and caused by too traumatic of an event, but the ones caused by smaller conflicts between watchers and listeners? CHEST is a representation of the watchers' influence, and have a much stronger hold on the Datastream (aka on martyn), whereas Doc is a listener agent – probably a representation within martyn's mind of the listener that touched life!martyn in the void, causing him to awaken in the trailer. this means that, with his help, datastream!martyn is trying to fight the watcher influence within himself/life!martyn, and potentially trying to prevent more of his soul from fracturing, too (protecting fragments). these are the 'fragment wars', taking place both within the datastream and life!martyn.
(and re doc and listeners, both are entities that, though what they're doing seems 'good'/beneficial, there's no actual evidence for this – and cc!martyn has mentioned this as well, for both entities independently.)
other evidence/additions:
martyn has said he's left the lore open enough so any amount of series could be happening at any one time without disrupting anything, and this would fit that criteria. multiple conflicts within life!martyn can be happening at the same time.
the obvious: purple LOOT shards, watchers are associated with purple (fragments are also tinged purple BUT that could also be because we see them in the watchers' domain, in which everything is tinged purple). by itself this wouldn't be too much of a coincidence, but since we know the lore is connected, it's more likely it's not.
CHEST is a large megacorporation that has a lot of influence over game worlds – this does match up to the watchers, which re martyn's lore do watch over/have a hold over all minecraft servers. ie, multiple game worlds are being looked over (and influenced) by both.
doc's words in this ask: "You know as well as I do that C.H.E.S.T have cameras EVERYWHERE". cameras as in... they're Watching everything? every one of their game worlds?
this would explain why datastream!martyn wouldn't recognise ren, grian etc as repeating presences in worlds he encounters – as datastream!martyn, he hasn't encountered them before. the life series doesn't take place in the datastream, but completely outside of it – therefore, he's never met them before. datastream!martyn at least seems to think he had a full life before falling into the datastream, with memories that probably don't include anyone from the life series at all.
not evidence, but it would be quite nicely meta, considering minecraft!martyn is literally data (and in a way even the image of martyn we see as viewers is, though obviously he's a real person). the concept of the watchers was originally very meta as well – they're representative of the audience – so it wouldn't be something that hasn't been done with aspects related to this lore before!
evidence against:
mainly, the world datastream!martyn comes from seems to be our world – in addition to how it's presented, we also know time in the datastream passes at the same rate as time in our world, we know datastream!martyn keeps up with news from that world, etc. this could be hard to reconcile with the idea that it's representative of life!martyn's consciousness, and can't really be explained by the fact he datastream!martyn was made to think this world existed.
why are there different game worlds? how does this relate to anything here?
a lot of other stuff probably
overall, i'm not sure how strong this theory is – it explains some things, but not others, and seems to fit in with the life series lore a lot more than the wider datastream lore and context. but it's not out of the realm of possibility, and very interesting to consider!

I like to think that the smartest rat in the entire attic was garbage rat aka Oli.
He can write both human as rat, read both as well, says he has a psychology degree, is well traveled and has alot of knowledge a rat really shouldn't have, he's also smart enough to not live in the house and has adapted to live off the stuff humans don't even want so the likelihood of him in theory getting caught would be 0.
I get that that's just oli being oli but it is so funny to me to think he could solve so many problems but just doesn't because he has his own agenda.
Omg I love this so much..
I raise you to c!Oli not only not being an npc but also being fully aware of what goes on. Not only being a world hopper but also knowing about C.H.E.S.T and L.O.O.T shards and everything. But with a datastream defender in seemingly all the worlds Oli goes to, he can't say shit for fear of Martyn being hurt.

Vector Databases Tutorial: Data Access for Advanced AI Apps
Vector Database Tutorial
Vector databases are revolutionising artificial intelligence and machine learning. These databases are revolutionising data storage and access and advancing AI and machine learning applications. This essay will analyse vector databases’ unique abilities and how they are changing numerous sectors.
What is Vector Database?
Knowing the Fundamentals
Specialised database systems called vector databases are made with the purpose of effectively storing, managing, and retrieving high-dimensional vectors. Vectors are numerical representations of data items, such as words, photos, or human behaviours, that encapsulate their key characteristics in a multidimensional space in the context of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning. Since vector databases can manage complicated data types, they are perfect for tasks involving similarity search, clustering, and classification, in contrast to standard databases that store scalar values (such as integers and texts).
AI Vector database
Important Vector Database Features
These are particularly good at handling high-dimensional data, which frequently has hundreds or thousands of dimensions.
Effective Similarity Search
These databases carry out quick and precise similarity searches a necessary function for applications such as picture recognition and recommendation systems by utilising sophisticated indexing algorithms.
Scalability
These can manage massive data volumes without sacrificing performance because of its horizontal scalability design.
Integration with AI Workflows
They easily interface with pipelines and models for machine learning, making it easier to train, implement, and infer AI models.
Reasons Vector Databases Are Unbelievably Excellent
Improved Features for Search
The capacity of vector databases to conduct quick and precise similarity searches is one of their best qualities. High-dimensional data presents challenges for traditional databases, which frequently result in sluggish and inaccurate search results. On the other hand, this use methods like locality-sensitive hashing (LSH) and approximate nearest neighbour (ANN) search to swiftly identify the most similar vectors. This feature is especially useful for the following applications:
Recommendation Systems
Vector databases are remarkably accurate in providing personalised suggestions based on analysis of user behaviour and preferences.
Image and Video Search
They change the way media libraries are managed by providing quick access to comparable images or movies based on visual content.
Natural Language Processing, or NLP
Natural Language Processing NLP uses these to make semantic search more effective and precise by retrieving information based on word meanings rather than exact matches.
Processing Data in Real Time
Real-time data processing and analysis is essential in the big data era. Because vector databases can manage real-time data streams, they are perfect for applications that need quick decisions and responses. This comprises:
Fraud Detection
By using vector databases to track transactions in real-time, financial institutions can accurately detect and stop fraudulent activity.
Predictive Maintenance
Real-time sensor data analysis by vector databases in manufacturing enables the prediction of equipment faults and the proactive scheduling of maintenance.
Personalised Marketing
Based on user behaviour, marketers can send personalised adverts and promotions by using these to analyse user interactions in real-time.
Better Processes for Machine Learning
Machine learning procedures and vector databases work together seamlessly to improve the efficacy and efficiency of AI models. These databases’ ability to store the vectors generated by models allows for:
Model Training
Large volumes of training data can be quickly accessed and stored in vector databases, facilitating both model training and retraining.
Inference
Vector databases are able to quickly obtain pertinent vectors during inference, guaranteeing AI applications minimal latency replies.
Continuous Learning
They help maintain the accuracy and currentness of AI systems by enabling models to be updated in real-time with fresh data points.
Vector Database Applications in Industry
Retail and E-Commerce
Vector databases are revolutionising customer interactions in the retail and e-commerce industries. Using vector databases, businesses can:
Improved Product Suggestions
Provide extremely tailored product suggestions according to user preferences and behaviour.
Optimise Search Results
By offering more precise and pertinent search results based on vector similarity, you can enhance search functionality.
Analyse Customer Sentiment
To better understand consumer sentiment and develop goods and services, examine customer reviews and feedback.
Medical Care
The potential of vector databases is also advantageous to the healthcare sector. Examples of applications are:
Medical Image Analysis
By quickly storing and retrieving medical images, vector databases can help in illness diagnosis and treatment.
Genomics
Research and personalised therapy are made easier by their ability to analyse high-dimensional genomic data.
Patient Monitoring
The ability to process data in real-time facilitates ongoing patient health monitoring and prompt intervention.
Money
Vector databases are improving the speed and accuracy of a number of applications in the finance sector, including:
Risk management
Evaluate and effectively manage risks by analysing high-dimensional financial data.
Algorithmic Trading
Use real-time data processing to quickly and intelligently decide which trades to make.
Customer Insights
Acquire a deeper understanding of consumer behaviour and preferences in order to customise financial services and goods.
Vector Databases’ Future
Vector databases will become even more crucial as AI and machine learning become more widely used. Potential future advancements in this field could be:
Improved Integration with AI Platforms
More thorough integration with AI frameworks and platforms, which facilitates the deployment and management of AI applications even more.
Improvements in Indexing Methods
Indexing methods have been refined to increase similarity search speed and accuracy.
Use Case Expansion
As new and creative use cases are found in a variety of industries, vector databases are being adopted more widely.
In summary
Without a doubt, vector databases are changing the field of artificial intelligence and machine learning. They are absurdly strong at handling high-dimensional data, processing real-time data, conducting effective similarity searches, and improving machine learning operations. Vector databases will be essential in opening doors and spurring innovation as industries investigate and use this technology.

I’ve remembered why I stopped writing on wattpad. It’s cuz I lose motivation too fast and can never finish stuff, so in a day or two I’m gonna post just a simple overview of Himiko’s past. But for now I’m gonna show you all another oc of mine
Her names Toshiko Niwa
Fandom: my hero academia
Age: 20/ five years older than class A
Height: 6’1
Sexuality: asexual/ doesn’t feel romantic love
Pronouns: she/her
Eye color: I can’t show it in picrews so I usually just go with random colors but her eyes are like streaks of different colors like the Netflix thing where it looks like string. That’s what her eyes look like
Hair color and length: dark brown and short
Skin tone: pale with a bit of a tan
Scars: one cheek scar, and other scars across her body
Quirk:
I did borrow this quirk from a fanfic on Ao3 called datastream
Datastream: this quirk gives its user the ability to see streams of data such as, a phone call, a YouTube video, text messages, or any other thing related to tech, and allows the user to access it doing so the user can see and or hear what the stream is and says. The user can also access cameras by tapping into their data stream doing so the user can jump from camera to camera or even tap into hero comms to contact a hero. The user does not have to touch the streams to enter them and is able to both be half in a stream and half still conscious so the user can have a conversation with a hero through a stream whilst still having a conversation with a friend physically. The downsides of this quirk are, even though the user can multitask and both interact with the world whilst still being in a stream if the user wants to fully dive into a stream they can no longer interact with the outside world using their physical body until they tap out of a stream, if fully in a stream the user becomes vulnerable to attack given that they are unable to fight back or even realize they’re being touched, moved, or spoken to, when quirk is overused the user becomes tired, gets headaches, and their eyes hurt as if they had been looking at a screen for too long, they also become more tired.
Sorry for giving up on writing all of Himiko’s back story but it’s never gonna get finished if I keep doing it this way
Also Toshiko is not a hero at first she’s actually a vigilante who then becomes an intelligence hero!

DDTO Bad Ending: DataStream Fan Remake + New AU
I love DDTO and DDTO: Bad Ending, and its latest addition DataStream was such an effin' banger!!! However, people have been saying that the gameplay was messy and hard to play. So if I were to make a fanmade restyling of DataStream, here's how I would do it. -New Sprites: The idle and poses could show more of Monika's agony than just having a glitch filter layered on the spritesheet. -New Mechanics: Arrows moving everywhere, switching from side-to-side, going from upscroll to downscroll, jumbling the order. As the song starts, the window where you're playing the mod in slowly becomes smaller, making it seem like the mod has affected your "Screen", as seen in the official gameplay, but your computer is fine!! The "Screen" in question would actually be an image file or a texture file, so it'll appear that your screen is smothered by text saying 'Just Monika', and to make it more believable, the mod would temporally disable the esc key or whatever key gets you out of full screen. After the song is finished, the mod will crash like in the original. -Cutscenes and In-Game Dialogue: Since DataStream takes place either after or during DDTO: Bad Ending, the start of DataStream would be Monika stranded in the void, unsuccessfully trying to get back into DDLC. During the pause in the song, there would be some dialogue from Monika. For the end cutscene at the end of the song, I have two ideas. Canon Bad Ending cutscene: Monika finally disappears and Boyfriend goes insane one final time, then the mod would crash and you would get the end-game dialogue. The end-dialogue with Monika.chr would be the same. Poems and Thorns Ending cutscene: Instead of being deleted, Monika gets dragged back to Hating Simulator, and the last thing you'd see before the mod crashes is Senpai. The end-dialogue would be with Senpai knowing that he's just a character and now he wants Monika to himself because he's become self-aware like she has. In case you're wondering what the second ending was about, I'm in the process of making a fan AU of DDTO based off one of the side stories, hence why the second ending has Senpai. About DDTO: Poems and Thorns(so far): Basically, after the events of Wilted, the Dokis lure Senpai into the Bad Ending mod, an identical copy of DDLC/DDTO, to teach Senpai a lesson. Senpai ends up defeating all of them and taking control of the mod and his own game. Yuri successfully disguises her files and sends out an SOS message to Monika, who's in the real DDLC/DDTO talking to some of the FNF mod characters. Monika reads the message, finds out about Senpai, and decides to confront him. Hope you all enjoyed my fan interpretation of DataStream!! Have a blessed morning/noon/evening/night/day!!! (Don't forget to hydrate!!)

c!martyn definitely has some sorta dissociation and derealization problems btw. just feel like i need to say that somewhere
for the life series - his end of secret life session 6. last life. just- last life, especially with the shadow and stuff. also, the emotional resets between seasons, that's gotta create some sort of disconnect with identifying with your own memories, right? especially when it's inconsistent like it is.
for datastream - simply the fact that his reality isn't real, how do you not get feelings of unreality when that's literally what you're living, as contradictory as it sounds
just, in general - trauma, c!martyn has a lot of trauma lmao. and the trying to emotionally distance himself and failing over and over and yet telling himself he isn't attached despite feeling things that he shouldn't if that were true. separating his personal reality from the reality he's living in, and in the case of datastream, both of which are entirely separate from the reality he's native to
