Aside from the general problem of people taking Ahsoka's "I am no Jedi" statement too literally (which other people have made posts explaining that but I do not have any on hand fuck me fuck me fuck me), I think there's also an issue of people seeing this as a triumphant moment for ahsoka when it absolutely should not be
Remember the context of that line, it's in response to Vader's "revenge is not the Jedi way"
See, for once in his life, Vader is actually doing a good job at being a teacher of Jedi practices
Revenge is a bad thing, it will not-cannot bring happiness, undo what is done, bring justice, at best it offers satisfaction, but that feeling is temporary and will fade
Like what is the actual outcome if ahsoka pursues revenge to the fullest and kills Vader for all he has done?
At best, the result is that ahsoka now must live with killing him (while also ensuring that Vader will never have the chance to (finally) do what's right)
But it could very easily ruin ahsoka
Revenge on its own is self destructive, but for a Force sensitive it is worse, revenge is the path of anger hatred and rage, paths that can lead someone to the dark side
To seek revenge by destroying Vader ahsoka could have lost herself
Ahsoka choosing to seek revenge is a horrifying thing, it's a sign of a lack of self control, of indulging in one's worst instincts
Now that said, I don't blame people for not picking up on this, as the episode itself does a poor job of showing it, choosing instead to emphasize tragedy and sadness of the once master and apprentices duel to the death while also not completely focusing on that conflict because the time is divided between them and Ezra/Kanan who are unrelated to this conflict and/or are spectators to it

Fallen Order AU where Cere is killed and Cal is taken by Darth Vader with the intention of making him an Inquisitor. But when Cal’s psychometric abilities are revealed, Vader has a different plan in mind, one that causes certain truths and revelations to come to light. Cal didn’t know what he was getting into when he showed Vader what he saw through those echoes, but he really didn’t sign up to accompany said Sith Lord while he went through a midlife crisis.
Essentially, Vader finds out the truth about how Palpatine lied to him and how Padmé really died and also the fact that he has twins out there somewhere and decides “fuck palpatine” and drags a bewildered Cal - who becomes his unofficial apprentice of sorts - with him as he plots a way to take the emperor down and also, find his kids.
Also a Darth Vader redemption of sorts. He’s still a pretty shitty guy at the start and his whole reason for wanting to kill the Emperor is solely to avenge Padmé. He also has some murderous intent towards Obi-Wan for hiding his children from him and also, leaving him to burn. He’s in the mindset of believing that he wasn’t at fault and blames others for everything that happened, including his actions. But gets a hard wakeup call from Cal when he shows him just how shitty things are and what the Empire, what he has done and finally thinks “oh, I’m the problem” and from then on his slow redemption starts as he sets out on attempting to repair the damage done as he starts back on the rocky path towards the light. He also trains Cal, who at first goes “fuck that and fuck you” but eventually the two become a duo. Like Vader and Starkiller if Vader was going through a crisis, stumbling through a path of redemption and Starkiller was his tired, annoyed, unofficial apprentice who was unwillingly dragged along for the ride.

in those au's where vader joins ahsoka at the end of twilight of the apprentice, i need sassy anakin. i know he's still vader and therefore Big Sad, Big Angst but please, let him be Big Brat like his clone war days. i need ezra to ask him why he looks Like That (sans suit) just for him to be like "don't swim on mustafar, the lava isn't the best conditions, no matter the weather". I DON'T CARE HOW OOC IT IS </3

Everything Will Be Fine (Platonic Yandere Darth Vader with Starkiller's Twin Sister Reader)
A/N: This is a small work I thought of, but didn't want to put on my AO3 account, so I thought of putting it here. I rarely see platonic yandere Vader content, so I made some, even if it's short.
Vader placed your body into a becta tank that was in his Fortress on Mustarfar. You weren't in good condition, far from it, but he would make sure you got well.
After he made sure your vitals were stable and fixed himself up from the fight with your brother, Vader would make sure Palpatine thought you were dead. It was essential that the Emperor thought you were and continued to think so. If he suspected, you were alive he would have you killed. The Rule of Two allowed only two Siths, and not only that but you might also be viewed as a weakness of Vader’s. Vader made sure you were in this condition and if he wanted you dead you would’ve been, and Palpatine would know this as well.
There were a few times Vader thought of killing you and one time he almost did. When he found you and your brother as children, he thought of only taking Starkiller and doing away with you, but there was a chance you were stronger within the force, so you were taken as well. When it was shown Starkiller was the stronger one Vader planned on killing you, but when he was about to you gave him a fearful look as if you knew something bad was going to happen. It normally wouldn’t sway him, but the look you gave resembled the one Padmé gave on Mustafar, and when you whispered a frightened ‘master’, Vader couldn’t continue with his plan, seeing Padmé in you.
As you grew older you showed traits of Padmé and him when he was Anakin. Vader wished you just had traits of Padmé, but that wasn't his luck. You could be reckless and at times rebellious. However, Vader quickly learned that threatening your brother got you back in line. You had a strong relationship with Starkiller and he returned that bond. The two of you were a fierce duo when you went on missions together, but it could also hurt the goal of the mission if one of you got into a life-threatening position. Neither of you wanted to lose the other so the mission was practically on hold if either of you were in such a situation.
This was why it was critical to keep you sedated until Vader was repaired and could deal with you better. Once you knew your brother was dead it would undoubtedly cause you to rebel and seek revenge against Vader and the Emperor as soon as you could. If you got too wild the Emperor would discover you and would want to kill you himself to make sure you were dead. Vader couldn't have you dead, no matter how much he would try to deny it.
He would never admit this to anyone, but you had become like a daughter to him. When Vader began seeing you as his child he didn't know, maybe it was when he saw traits of Padmé and himself in you, maybe it was the time he was about to kill you, or the time you got seriously injured. It really didn’t matter when, all that mattered now was that he does, and he refused to lose another child.
Vader wouldn’t lose you, not to death, not to the newly formed Rebellion, not to anything. You would stay by his side whether you liked it or not, and if anything threatened to take you, Vader would destroy it. He would tear the galaxy apart if he had to. Palpatine was no exception to this either, Vader would find a way to kill Palpatine in order to protect you and keep you by him.
You were his daughter, which meant it was Vader’s duty to protect you. He failed to protect his biological child, but he would right that wrong by not failing you.
“You will be fine youngling.” Vader said, more to himself than to you, though he hoped you heard him so you would know things were fine. That it didn’t matter if your twin was dead, because you had him, and even if he was going to punish you for betraying him in order to join Starkiller in trying to free the Rebel leaders and kill him and the Emperor, everything would be fine in the end.
Everything would be fine, Vader would make sure everything would be fine, no matter what he had to do to achieve it.

"𝑰 𝒂𝒎 𝒏𝒐 𝑱𝒆𝒅𝒊."
Ashoka season 2 has been announced, yay!
The Star Wars saga has been a piece of my nerd heart since my childhood, and despite the missteps made by Disney in recent years, in my opinion The Mandalorian, Andor and Ashoka have a beating core of SW original vibes ❤️
I find Ashoka wonderful both as a character (since Clone Wars) and aesthetically. Her spiritual reunion with Anakin in the first season moved me, and I can't wait to see them together again 🥺✨
Both the print and the sticker will be available soon in my Etsy shop, and for those who will be at the Megacon in Genoa (Italy) on March 1st and 2nd, you will also find them there 😊
I will post the timelapse of the art in the next few days ❤️

Some thoughts on the book "Jedi Quest"
I just reread the first book "Jedi Quest: Path to Truth" after many years.
You can start counting Anakin's lies, as well as disobeying orders.
Now the facts.
Anakin lied to his Master twice and disobeyed a direct order twice.
He lied that he had independently assembled his lightsaber in the cave of Ilum. (In fact, the finished lightsaber was handed to him by Sith vision) He lied that he didn't know anything about the pirate Krayn. (Krayn raided slaves on Tatooine when Anakin was 7 years old. Since then, Anakin hated him and dreamed of destroying him) He disobeyed Obi-Wan's orders that they should immediately escape from the pirate ship, because Anakin wanted to free the local slaves here and find Krayn to destroy him. He ignored Obi-Wan's request not to kill Krayn, and Anakin, with a full sense of justice and rightness, killed him. It was more of an execution than self-defense.
Anyone who still remembers the «Jedi Apprentice» book series can imagine what Qui-Gon would have done to Obi-Wan for such behavior at the age of 13.
The irony is that Qui-Gon was quite tough and demanding towards Obi-Wan. And the result was a highly moral, noble Jedi. Obi-Wan was overly patient with Anakin. He turned a blind eye to his shortcomings, justified all his weaknesses and unworthy actions. And he suppressed all his suspicions about him inside himself. The result was Darth Vader.

some incorrect quotes based on this au (where cal ends up being dragged along for vader's slow, unsteady redemption post jedi fallen order when he finds out the truth about palpatine's lies and padme's true fate via cal's pyschometry)
~~~
Cal: If you kill me, my teeth only have a two percent drop rate.
Vader: ...What?
Cal: Good luck.
~~~
Cal: Did you have to stab them?
Vader: You weren’t there. You didn’t hear what they said to me.
Cal: What did they say?
Vader: "What are you going to do, stab me?"
Cal:
~~~
Cal, trying to lighten the mood: Hey, how do you ask a glass of water what it’s doing?
Vader: A glass of water is an inanimate object. Therefore, it's incapable of having a thought process or understanding basic human language.
Cal:
Cal: Water you doing?
~~~
Cal: Stop lying, stop manipulating, stop murdering, just be nicer!
Vader:
~~~
Vader: Enough! How dare you mock me in such a manner!?
Cal: Well. How would you like me to mock you? I take requests.
~~~
Vader: Pardon the intrusion, but-
Cal: On this moment or just my life in general?
~~~
Vader: I prevented a murder today.
Cal: Really? How’d you do that?
Vader: Self control.
~~~
Vader: I have come to the realization that bottling up negative emotions is harmful and that you shouldn't do it.
Cal: I know, that's why I bottle up all my emotions, both positive and negative, so it cancels out.
Vader:
Vader: Do you take constructive criticism?
Cal: I only take cash or credit.
~~~
Vader: You have an oddly sincere sense of humility.
Cal: I prefer the term self-loathing, actually.
odd tho, that right at the finish line to the revenge of the sith (a thousand years in the making) sheev would send maul to fight some jedi on naboo, right? when by all means he got the result he wanted from the jedi 'winning' that conflict. big risk of discovery innit?
unless that wasn't about the planet at all. unless sheev wanted maul to fight qui-gon, specifically. ya know, sith historically love pitting apprentices against each other...
...and qui-gon was all about the prophecy of the chosen one, right?
and like, there's only a few canon sith, versus a metric ton of jedi. fifty thousand or something?
cool.
... what did everyone think 'balance' meant?
yeah so, what IF qui-gon knew what kind of monster anakin was going to become.
what IF qui-gon was another sith apprentice.
what if that duel was 'who gets to train anakin' and either way the jedi lose?
lil ani, destined to bring balance to the force? well. he did. in a manner of speaking.
anyhoo. sith qui-gon au, amirite?
