Her voice grew sharper. “And for the record, me and Ddot? Never been a thing. My Baby was a song, not a confession. So stop trying to pit us against each other. That’s my sister, and I love her.”

I think the only time so far Protocol or TMA has genuinely 'scared' me was, in episode 13 'Futures' one of the first things we here about Darrien is how:

"I'm not a bad person all right."

Darrien who we get to hear tell his tale from his own mouth, we get to see just how wrong this self-assessment is never taking any accountability for who he is.

Then in episode 18 'Solo Work' we get to hear from a different Darrien —except Chester is spinning this yarn— one who knows how angry he can be. But then he meets an even worse version of himself who has terrible skeletons in his basement. He assumes this old worse Darriens life—

and then Chester's voice becomes more and more robotic as he speaks—

"I'm really not a bad person."

And that's what scared me, the feeling that someone who shouldn't know you've heard something repeating it back to you, but it's wrong the voice is robotic and it's not just a repetition of what he said it's a reinforcing of a statement that someone made from an entirely different world at an entirely different time.

For the first time it felt like something knew I was listening, it wasn't as direct as some of the audience callouts in TMA, it may not have even been intentional. But I felt watched. Because it was so small, such a tiny insignificant change to show that he's really still the same person deep down.
