I have a vague idea of a miku design and I have absolutely no idea if it's real or not. Iirc I saw it in a video a cosplayer made, where she complained about having to make it really fast for a miku event and not being satisfied with it? Anyway, all I remember is it had an off the shoulder red sweater situation, with maybe a ribbon lacing detail? I think it also had a dark short skirt. I got a top similiar and I'm like oh this would be a great miku cosplay but now I'm not sure if its even real so I'm just curious if you or someone else can identify it. Love you blog, thanks for your time!

After poking through all her Project Mirai modules, I think the one you saw was probably a fan design or one the cosplayer made themselves (๑˘︶˘๑)

If anyone asks Xiao who is his one true love, he might say his sunshine with a deadpan expression. 

Xiao was the type of boy who seems distant and cold towards others except few close ones but in this case: He still has not let go of his heart because of a certain person. You..you held his heart and unexpectedly took a piece of him with you.

You and Xiao are total opposites. You were a happy and friendly child while Xiao is a distant and cold boy who refused to let anyone near him but you. He is mad at anyone else but you. Like that is picking favorites. Xiao always remembers how you always barge through his room and ask him to go outside with you and play. Or how you got in trouble because you got into a fight with some students because they are bullying Xiao. And do not get him started on how every time you see Xiao, you proudly say “My Darkness’ like it is a normal everyday thing to you.Those memories replays in Xiao’s head rent free and he hates it and loves it. It has been..years since he last saw you..since he last saw that goofy smile on your face. It was in the middle of summer in 3rd grade elementary school. You were not your normal self..you were mostly down and had that gloomy aura. Xiao always knew you well..even when you tried to lie to him. With a lot of prodding and poking, you broke down and confessed to Xiao.

You are moving away..to another state due to your family problems. Xiao did not understand it at the time but he now knows that your parents had a nasty divorce which resulted in your father having full custody of you. Xiao never liked your mother and it is unfortunately sad how she ruined a perfect family but then again, Xiao does not care about her..he cared about you and you alone. How lonely Xiao feels without you..How his world is nothing but darkness…

Meanwhile, you are no different from Xiao except the fact you have gotten more collected and still sociable. You still have new friends but none of them is like Xiao. None of them treated you the way Xiao treated you. You always spend your nights thinking how Xiao hugs you when you have to run away from when your parents started arguing. How Xiao defended you when your mother mocked you. Everything about Xiao still haunts you..you want to see Xiao again but when? Maybe fate decided to make this into a reality.

When the new day of high school arrived, Xiao felt his world grew darker and more lifeless as usual. He shows that same stoic expression on his face as he walks to class, just letting his friends talk like any normal day but he caught something in the corner of his eye. He could have sworn that he saw a familiar (h/c) person standing near the lockers with that expression on their face. “Hm?” The teal haired male was confused but he thought nothing of it. ‘Is it not them right?’ He thought to himself as he entered his class and went to his seat. ‘It can’t be them..they moved away years ago. They could not have moved back here..right?’ Xiao just looked out of the window as his peers filled the classroom which Xiao paid no mind to as they were just peers. After the teacher walked in and started the class like normal, Xiao paid little or no attention to the boring speech until he heard this from the teacher: “Class. We have a new student. Please come in.” 

The class door opens and a person walks in, eyes watching the figure who walks to the front of the class. The person was quiet for a moment before speaking. “Hello everyone.” Xiao froze and slowly turned his head to face the source of the voice. “My name is [name] [last name]. It is a pleasure to meet you all. Please accept me with open arms.” Xiao’s gold eyes made eye contact with familiar [e/c] eyes which widened in shock but it softened and curled to express their happiness. Xiao could not believe his eyes..it is you. His sunshine..his sun. You are back! You are back!! To everyone’s eyes,Xiao looks like he doesn't care but deep inside,his heart is racing like it is in a marathon. He watches you sit down next to him and smiles which makes him want to hug you right here and now but he can’t because he knows how you do not like it how you two hug when eyes are literally watching you two like hawks. So he waits until lunch time so he can drag you to a private place.You just watch how Xiao just walks up to your table, gently drags you away by your wrist as he ignores everyone’s questioning stares and whispers along the way.

After you two are now alone in the empty classroom, an awkward silence falls between you two which makes you uncomfortable. Understandably so since it has been years. Years since you two last saw each other. “H-Hey Xiao.” You started but you were interrupted by Xiao pinning you against the wall, startling you. “X-Xiao?! W-What is wrong?” You ask Xiao as said male did not reply but he just stared at you with his golden eyes that are so sharp that you felt like his eyes are staring deep into your own soul. "My sun..you have come back to me." Xiao cups your face with his hands, trying to fight back tears. "You have come back to me. The world was so dull without you. I cannot handle living without you..please..promise me that you would not leave me again..” Your eyes widened in shock before tearing up, confessing your feelings. “Xiao..you are always on my mind. Not a single day has you not left my mind. My heart belongs to you..and your heart belongs to me,Xiao. I am not letting you go,”

Xiao’s eyes widened in disbelief before they softened like a feather. His thumb rubs over your bottom lip, slowly leaning in that your both nose is almost touching. He stares at your lips and whispers hoarsely to you. “Kiss me..” He licked his lips “please..my sunshine..” You obey his order and kiss him on the lips, letting Xiao deepen the kiss.

You are the sun to Xiao’s darkness. Now you two are finally reunited once again and you two are not letting each other go again..not even fate can not separated you both.

I've now played every modern From Soft game except for Demon's Souls, which I likely won't bother with, and Armored Core, which doesn't fill this same niche as hard, and here's how they stack up in my opinion:

1. Elden Ring: Give me a Sekiro parry and conventional, 4-player(ish) co-op and this is a perfect game.

2. Sekiro: This game feels cool as hell. Parrying lightning on your way to stab a dragon in the face? Hell. Yes. On top of that, it's the most coherent, dialogue heavy From Soft story to date, and I love that an awful lot.

3. Dark Souls 2: I genuinely don't understand the hate this game gets, it makes some weird decisions, but not any worse than any other game in the franchise. Adaptability is not as bad as Vitality in DS3. No I-frames on doors? Dude, just kill everything. It's not a bad game for demanding you engage with the content in it. These aren't boss rushes, they're adventures. This game introduced powerstancing! I love the NPCs, the fact that you can make things stop respawning, Majula, and the narrative divorced from Kindling or abandoning the Flame. Basically the only part of this game I didn't like enough that it made me want to stop playing was the Frigid Outskirts, I STILL haven't beaten the duo tigers at the end of it, and I likely never will. I don't even understand why the Shrine of Amana gets so much hate.

4. Dark Souls 1: This one is solid, but definitely a proof of concept. The 4-directional dodge definitely hurts this game, and basically everything after Ornstein and Smough sucks, except the DLC. Izaleth and everything directly adjacent to it can go fuck itself. Bed of Chaos is the worst boss in the entire catalogue. Bonus points for the Sunbro.

5. Dark Souls 3: I don't understand why this game gets the praise it does. It's about on par with the other two Dark Souls games. Crystal Sage another series low. I hate the poison swamp and the Road of Sacrifice, I hate the Deep Cathedral and the worm guys outside. I hate Midir. Gael one of my favorite bosses in the entire From franchise tho. The poetic cinema that your first enemy in Dark Souls 1 is a Hollow with a broken sword, and your last enemy in Dark Souls 3 is a Hollow with a broken sword also goes real hard. Soundtrack another bonus, probably my favorite other than Elden Ring. I think if this game didn't poke nostalgia for series vets, it wouldn't be as universally praised.

6. Bloodborne: Man I just plain don't like this one. I don't get why the Hoonter hoonts. It's made obvious immediately that that's an evil course of action to take. The parry was too finicky to feel cool most of the time, and the line between what I'm allowed to parry and what I'm not seems random. The soundtrack is okay. The bosses are all either dogs or tentacles, or just British people (shudder). The story was nonsensical, and the birth imagery seemed, at first glance, random, though I have since had it explained to me that it's about feminine agency and motherhood. "Is it blood or eyes that lets us meet god?" Both, apparently, and also all of you are insane, maybe stop touching beached elder gods. This is also the only game where I got to pick a weapon and the Greatsword is not on the table, and I HATE that. I think folks like this game cuz they want to be British, and that should be a source of shame. Drip unmatched tho. This is the only game listed that isn't one of my favorite games of all time.

I used the capital-G-Greatsword for every game it was available, Heavy Gem infused in every game except Elden Ring (I did Bleed there), and my character was a pale blue monstrosity named Miku (because he had ponytails) in every game I got to make my character. I don't cast spells, at all. I beat every boss in the series (excluding ER, I'm not killing all 200-something, go fuck yourself) except for the aforementioned tiger gank in DS2. Fuck the Frigid Outskirts.

I want to smoke a blunt with Solaire, Vengarl, Alexander, and Patches.

Mikunology Reviews: Boku wa Hatsune Miku to Kiss wo Shita (2013) (Pt.2)

Alright, here we are with Part 2, where I will chat about the album's second half! Let's get to it!

Ii, Er Fanclub: I think anyone who vaguely knows of Mikito has heard this one, if it's not ROKI. XD This is another more goofy, fun track about Rin and Gumi being fans of Chinese culture. And I love it! It's a great song, the back-and-forth between Rin and Gumi is so fun to sing along to - the inclusion of actual Chinese words is really fun as well. The drums are great here too. There's not really much I can say on this one that isn't just regular praise?? I highly recommend checking out it's PV by the wonderful Yori and Ryuusee! (Actually, I do have one comment I want to make: unpopular opinion, but I like this original Rin & Gumi version a lot more over Giga's Miku & Len mix. The goofy charm of the original song just jives with me more, although Giga's tuning is stellar.)

Wednesday Blue: This is another remaster, this time of one of Mikito's much older Miki originals. This is more typical rock'n'roll-style track, and it's a bit noisier than Mikito's usual fare. Unfortunately, I do think it's my least favorite on this album: it's a bit…all-over-the-place, compared to Mikito's later work? The Miki vocals are clearer and a bit better than the original NND upload, but they're still notably clunky in some places which can kinda take me out of the song. That said, the song as a whole isn't bad or anything, and it's actually pretty catchy after a few listens - it's just kinda clear this song was written by a less experienced Mikito. (Not to poke fun - everyone starts somewhere!)

Setsuna Plus (Momentary Plus): And here we are, back to Miku Dark again. This song is a bit more abstract in terms of lyrics, I think, but I still find myself coming back to it. There's not much I can say about this one either, honestly? Other than that it's good and that I like it - it has that usual great atmosphere again. However, I do have a slight criticism, I think - as much as I love the way Miku sounds here, I think this song could have done with a bit more powerful vocal instead, after hearing a few covers with characters like Amaga Eru (who can be pretty loud in her base voicebank).

Sarishinohara (Distant Fields): I remember not being too keen on this track at first for some reason? I don't know what was up with me because this song is really lovely XD This is a rock song about the forbidden love between a boy and his best friend and classmate, who has become an idol (and since idols can't date, she can no longer see him). There's such a tragic, melancholic feel to this song that really gets across the pain the boy is in, both in that he can no longer be with the girl despite her being "everywhere", in a sense, both in the instruments and in Miku Dark's vocals. Personally, I find this to be my favorite in the "Sarishinohara" trilogy, since 1) I think the melody is a bit easier to get into compared to the others and 2) just the sheer vibes.

Secret DVD: Ah, this one…the spicy one. A more straightforward rock track with a bit more "vanilla" Miku voice instead of Miku Dark, about doing sexy things. I actually like this one quite a bit despite the mature subject matter - it is pretty catchy, and the guitars are really good here. There's a part in the second verse where there's a harp-like strum and it's really satisfying. I also gotta say, something I always appreciated about Mikito's more sexual songs is that they're usually written in a manner that actually makes the act sound romantic rather than…well, you know. XD (*looks at REOL and Umetora*) I recommend this one for the music alone even if you're not into the song lyrically.

Salad Banya Cauda: Now for something completely different! XD This is one of the very few completely album-exclusive tracks, since I believe all of the tracks on this list have been released with PVs with the exception of this and Gariben Hirose no Shouri. This isn't really a rock track at all - it's a cute little folksy-type song with more acoustic instruments and simple Miki vocals (with the exception of some electric guitar between verses). I like it, though! It's a cute song, it makes you feel like marching through some sunny trees to find some berries or some adventure. However, I do think it can come as a surprise given the vibe of literally everything else. I think you might enjoy it, still!

Gariben Hirose no Shouri (A Geek's Huge Victory): OK, back to rock - this is the other completely album-exclusive track, and honestly? I've come to like it quite a bit. It has that signature nice Mikito J-rock vibe, with some lovely Gumi tuning to go with it. There's not much I can say about it that I haven't said for other songs on this CD, though? Just more of the same good stuff, I suppose. XD However, I really like the end part, where Gumi starts singing some "lalala"'s - something I like about Mikito's rock songs is that some of them feel like they could be played at the end of movies or as ending themes to anime episodes, and this is definitely one such song with the way it plays out.

Sayoko: Ah, this is another famous one. Sayoko is a soft J-rock track about severe depression, and once again uses Miku Dark - I think this is a really brilliant use of her, though, it really fits the song's theme since Miku sounds so melancholic and tired here. The melody is again a bit more understated, but it also really fits. I'm running out of things to say about the music itself XD I really think this song has a great calming vibe to it, despite the sad lyrics…I think someone could find it a great comfort, especially if you relate (like me!).

kiss: Finally, the last track, and the single collaboration on this CD: featuring the great Vocarock producer keeno! Together, he and Mikito form Mikeeno! (I love it when producers do that.) Predictably given their respective work, this is a slow, calm rock ballad about love. Now, I'm not the hugest fan of rock ballads? But I really love this one: the lyrics are really sweet and wistful, the lead guitar is perfect and Miku Dark returns to the gentle sound usually associated with both these producers. If you really like songs like "glow" or the slower songs I've already talked about on this album, you'll definitely love "kiss".

And that, my pals, is the whole CD! Yeah, all in all, for a first album, I think this is an amazing start for Mikito-san and an absolute must-listen if you are an enjoyer of Vocarock. Sure, he isn't the hard-rocking 164 or Utsu, but the soft and atmospheric yet fun and lively tunes by Mikito are incredibly worth hearing. SECRET DISTANCE YOU WILL ALWAYS BE FAMOUS love this card sm it's so pink so pastel so linacore i love mizuki cards a lot in general and i often use them as desktop wallpapers :) really love mizuki's expression here it's such a cool contrast with all the pastel pink color palette like yes the card looks so cute but mizuki looks so sad... the details are insane though ofc newer pjsk cards became even more detailed but still very impressive!! i love all the secret distance cards but mizuki's one.. chef's kiss

as you can see. i fucking love pink. another card that i've had as a desktop wallpaper for a while!! very pink, i love the cherry blossoms and i love miku's expression and pose and idk this card is just very comforting to me as someone who was into vocaloid since i was like 10-11 y/o and im 22 now so vocaloid characters and songs are very important to me and it's like. idk. ig it reminds me of my own relationship with miku in a way :)

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA. AAAAAAAA. A. i love saki so so much she's such an important character to me and we have so much in common so her cards and events related to her often make me go :(((( i love all the details, i love the expression she has here and the color palette is so interesting to me like it's pastel in a way but it's also so muted but still kinda dark im not sure how to explain but to me it feels like it's trying to be softer and more "cute" but it can't. the whole "saki wishes she could've done so much but. the illness" symbolism is also so heartbreaking. amazing 10/10 would cry again

4. the best specialty shop in town (trained)

THIS WHOLE SET IS AMAZING I LOVE ALL THE CARDS SO MUCH but i just have to go with kanade's she looks so silly like look at her face. i need to poke her cheeks NOW. love love love how the colors look here and how they go with her design it's very satisfying and looks so so pleasing to me.

I STILL ENDED UP GOING WITH MOSTLY NIIGO CARDS PUNCHES THE WALL. idk why but i really love the colors here they look so nice and i really love the vibe though again i love all cards from this event a lot mafuyu's one is just my fav one :) really love the atmosphere and i love how mafuyu looks here she's so cute and her wearing glasses here makes me happy as someone who has to wear glasses all the time and as someone who has a mafuyu fictive ahem also love all the details like the aquarium and everything!

When I'm in public alone I am very much socially awkward and anxious. I keep to myself and I am terrified of causing trouble for anyone

-I tried to pick a more 'loud' or extroverted person and although I decided to opt for Saki instead of Tsukasa, I think you both would mesh together even when she's not necessarily as loud as her brother.

-Saki is like the person you can fall back onto in social situations when you get anxious. She doesn't mind taking the lead and helping you out when you get nervous.

-She's not someone who gets angry often and tries to be there for you when you ghost her or others. She tries her best to understand what you're feeling and tries to sympathize with you.

-You both having the same energy is something that would make the whole friendship mesh well and she has the capabilities to be calmer or quieter if needed.

-Although Shizuku is somewhat different than Saki, I think she's the best match overall. The physical affection she gives to you is one of the big factors.

-As someone who enjoys pda/affection, Shizuku would love to cuddle or hold hands with you all the time. She kisses you in public and just loves to be near you.

-She loves the gifts you give her as well no matter what they are. She'll always gush about them whenever someone asks about something relating to it (whether that embarrasses you or not).

-She's a very light teaser and it comes off more lovingly than anything but she enjoys it when her partner gives her attention through light teasing too.
