Ambessa keeps showing up to the lab and it takes him a bit to catch on tbh. until the moment Ambessa is leaning over Viktor with one hand on the table crooning that she's always been fascinated by what fine work such delicate hands can accomplish ("yes thank you" says Viktor cooly, obliviously homosexual and annoyed, "it is often easier when I do not have someone breathing on the back of my neck.")

Rack focus over to Jayce in the background. realizing what is happening. shocked. outraged. absolutely aghast. ExCUSE you Viktor needs a lot of space he is very busy! there's only room for one brick house in this lab anyway they both have a lot to do actually so if you can be on your way ma'am??!

Mel and Jayce look over at some event just in time to see Ambessa pulling off a full kabedon on Viktor (still obliviously homosexual and still annoyed, his expression mostly a "can I help you??") saying that she admires the determination, the will, the sheer grit he must have to get where he is. Especially when it's all in such a...disarmingly dainty package...

And while Mel is desperately trying to find some other twink she can throw in front of her mom, Jayce just broke the sound barrier barrelling over to swoop Viktor up and get him the fuck out of there. the entire rouge galary carries antitodes for the fear toxin and some anti jokers spray (if it exists) or some shit, but not for themselves, it's for batman cause they AIN'T gonna deal with the BAT who would literally batshit crazy at that moment. like imagine it's a normal fight everything is going normal, and then batman appears but with a smile on his face, or maybe a different demeanor that makes it looks like he had inhaled fear toxin, and the entire thing just shifts, everyone and I mean EVERYONE, has a vial in their hand and are dodging instead of attacking, trying to talk him down.

These two turned out to be... not the best choices.

The city may have fallen to Insurgent Decepticon occupation had it not been for young recruits Hot Rod and Arcee's accidental interception of Shatter's communication with the fugitive Starscream.

To replace the errant Defense Team members, Springer and Blurr were reassigned from Iacon to Autobot City in their stead.

She knows where to get the best tamales and dim sum and hot dogs in the various neighborhoods. Where to shop, where to steal, where to visit and where to see. How it got that way. Shadow, then, is the equivalent of a small-town boy. And he's hit with just how much history and culture can be baked into a ten-mile radius. More foods than he could ever name, more foreign languages on shop signs than he could ever recognize, more histories and heritages than he ever knew were possible. He realizes that someone could spend a lifetime here and still not have experienced it all.

(And that gives him the only thing he looks forward to about the long future ahead of him. Instead of just one lifetime, he'll have several.)
