Saw Dan and Phil TIT in Durham and it healed a part of my inner childhood that never even existed. Like, I most recently started watching their YouTube with my friends (all who grew up watching them) and it made me feel so nostalgic and happy. Like, girl? You never watched them then.

i love the way phil reads out the uncut uncensored and unleashed line. firstly, because he quite obviously glanced off to the side at one point to read off a cue card. secondly, because they were both half-breaking character throughout the line - phil was acting so much more like his normal camera self (half-smiling with his mouth & full-smiling with his eyes), and dan was trying so hard not to let a full-on grin break out over his face. you can see the way the corner of his mouth tilts up soooo naturally just the split second before he looks over at phil, at which point he kinda controls it and turns it into something more suitably wry, then quashes it with his tongue against mouth thing as he looks away. just a little segment i adored and wanted to point out

we know from the first mukbang video that ordering pizza is like their comfort tradition, a hug in food form after having gone through something emotionally challenging/draining, which made so much sense for them to do post-tour. but NOW, we're getting a mukbang BEFORE the tour, and if we're operating on the same principles as before, it makes me wonder what journey they've been on that would bring this idea up again in the first place. they did put in a lot of work to bring dapg back (spooky week, gamingmas, etc) but that doesn't seem like such a grueling experience that it would call for a comfort domino's. so it lowkey makes me wonder if this mukbang is gonna be like, the intro to the content of the tour. they're gonna START unpacking the struggles and misconceptions and ideals they laboured under for years, while sitting with us having a pizza. is THAT the grueling, demanding journey they're gonna start decompressing from? their entire careers in the spotlight? massive pizza mukbang pt 2, aka terrible influence: the prologue???
