didn't expect it to happen that fast but HELL YEAH. there's nothing for Nathan to do next to Rupert. Rupert keeps switching his lovers like socks while his wife is still at home with their daughter. come on!! villain arc for Bex and Rebecca when? when is Rupert gonna get killed die and leave Bex all the money??? and then Bex and Rebecca become best friends and raise a daughter together?

Trent being the heart of the team? do you remember how it all started and how wary everyone was of him? do you? it warms my heart, but it warms it twice bc of the clear bond we see between Colin and Trent. like, older queer with younger queer, helping each other out and bonding. their friendship does things to me tbh. it's so very important and intimate and—

in other words, representation matters.

sometimes I really have no idea what this season is doing. i miss them being a dramedy, not a full on sitcom. i'm enjoying this season, but sometimes it's borderline too much. it's out of nowhere and it's not necessary at all.

besties unlocked <3 Trent is such a sunshine, I love him. the way he and Ted share a raised eyebrows look. there is something so wonderful happening between Ted and Trent from the moment they met. it's like they're connected and are being drawn to each other.

girl talk, especially when it involves middle aged men <3 Rebecca as their leader is really something. i love it.

I think Rebecca is being mean to the actual devil. also, why do iphone users love their matte screen cover? why not the regular one?

Trent is so in love with Ted, my goodness. that cute smile. Ted is so freaking oblivious, I need the show to do something about it. i need Ted to learn Trent is in love with him.

this is such a nice shot. something something, the idea of press taking pics of Nate's gf leaving. which at first I thought was kind of nice, but then she leaves with a suitcase and it looks like a breakup of some sort, so not that nice. hm. still, the shot is pretty.

Hey y'all! So, for just under a year, I've had a review for the Season 6 finale of The Good Doctor sitting in my drafts. There's barely anything, and I've never had the motivation to get around to it, so I'm going to do a really quick one here. I'll try and do a more in depth one with that draft in the future, but the finale season (😭😭💔) premieres in a couple of days, and I want it out before then. I'm super busy and tired so I don't have the energy for the full thing lol, so here's just something to ease my mind.

I'm sad to see Danny go :(. I'm glad he's doing what's best for him and that he's not mad at Jordan (because yeesh I understood him but that hurt me, hurt on all sides lol), but I'll miss him </3. Maybe one day he'll come back :') (although in current context I doubt it buuut you never know). And poor Jordan too 😭.

Also thank goodness Jerome and Jared are okay xD. I mean okay is a relative term here but yk. Anyway, I'm so glad they're okay we went through enough this episode 😭❤️ xD.

AAAHHHHH PARK AND MORGAN ARE BACK TOGETHER!!! WHOOO YAYYY FINALLYYYY!!! They took their sweet time huh xD. Like, the show lol. Still, they're gonna be a family together :'DD I'm so happy. They're adorable, I love them <33.

I don't remember who was on the case with him but I remember Asher's patient's father (I believe) died and I felt so bad for him 😭. Poor Asher :(. And poor the guy's family! They just kept doing heartbreaking things this episode xdd. Also the little Asher and Jerome moment at the beginning of the episode <33 my lovelies.

xD But seriously, even if the hat part made me SAD, I loved the whole storyline <33. And I am so glad Glassman sent a gift xd. They'll make up eventually :')). It would be absolutely WILD if they didn't, and it will be pain until they do, but I'm sure they will lol.

Anyway!! There was a lot of drama between people this season (though there always has to be), and sometimes it was stressful, but I really enjoyed this season. There were so many great moments and I just love all these characters so much <333. And let's not forget the new characters!! Danny and Dani (I still find it absolutely wild that they never addressed that btw lol) were icons, and I was sad to see both of them go but they were really good for their time on <3. They were both super unique and I also loved seeing a disabled character in Dani :D. Her journey helping Lim with her own journey was amazing, and I kind of relate as a disabled person <3. And Danny was also super great, it was nice to see him stick to his reasons and decisions a lot. For a one season character he was really complex and I like that :)). Also his relationship with Jordan was great <333. It was also wild to see Kalu return this season lol!! It took some adjusting (though I enjoyed that time too) but I love having him back :DD. I love all of these guys so much and I can't wait for next season <333.

Sooo yeah!! I absolutely loved this episode, it was so dramatic and so good. I'm so excited for the next season!

It hurt.

It hurt so fucking much.

Jaskier had always questioned it when people claimed that their mental anguish could manifest physically but now, sitting on the floor of his room, he could feel the ache in his chest. He hadn’t known he could miss someone as much as he did in that moment, but he was convinced that losing a limb would be less jarring.

And that's what he was feeling, the phantom pain of losing the man whom he thought he would live the rest of his days with. The man he loved more than he thought was possible.

But he had fucked up.

Jaskier hadn’t thought that… well honestly, he just hadn’t thought. He acted, like so many times before, without thinking, and this time it really bit him in the ass.

He had assumed, and you know what they say about that, that Eskel would appreciate the song. He knew how Eskel felt about the Curse of the Black Sun, how much he resented the treatment of those girls. It was a tragedy but Jaskier had made sure not to write it like one, instead focusing on the crime of not treating those poor girls like they deserved. It was meant to be a song for Eskel to remember her by. Or at least, for him to remember what she could have been. Should have been.

That wasn’t how Eskel had taken it.

Jaskier knew that Diedre still haunted Eskel’s memories, that he regretted how the situation played out. He wished that he had been better, done better. Protected her before the damage could be done. But Jaskier didn’t want to Eskel to feel like he was to blame, because he wasn’t. Their society had failed Diedre long before Eskel had been forced to make the hard decision he had been forced to.

Jaskier had hoped that the song would touch Eskel, maybe bring some closure even. But instead, Eskel grew paler before his eyes. His jaw was clenched, his shoulders tense. He was glaring, not at Jaskier, but just… off into the distance. After the performance, Jaskier could practically feel waves of anger rolling off the normally calm witcher.

“Eskel?” he asked softly, unsure of what to do.

The blow up that ensued was not once Jaskier had expected and certainly not one he was prepared to handle. It had ended with Jaskier on his knees, crying, trying to apologize, as Eskel walked out of the door, saying that Jaskier could never make up for this.

And that was the last time Jaskier had seen the witcher.

And now, now he ached. His entire body just ached something fierce and Jaskier didn’t know what to do about it. He was hoping he would be able to find the witcher, to apologize one last time. To make sure that Eskel knew he shredded the pages of song and burned them, made sure they would never again be sung.

He didn’t know that it would be a breach of privacy, he hadn’t meant for it to be. Jaskier just heard a story that deserved telling. A person that deserved to live on in song.

Eskel heard his private shame being immortalized in song.

Jaskier never would have thought of it that way, he simply wanted to honor Eskel’s strength, his child surprise who hadn’t been given the right chances, who had been cursed from birth and judged by a world who hated those that were different.

But Eskel heard his inability to protect the girl and his inability to protect himself.

So here Jaskier was, feeling hollow and empty, aching to the core, hiding in his room at another inn, trying to find the strength to go down and perform before he ran out of money. He eyed the jug of ale sitting on the small table by his bed, he had been telling himself he wouldn’t drink his sorrows away, not anymore. It never ended up well and he always suffered more for it.

But maybe, just tonight…

A soft knock on the door pulled Jaskier from his internal debate.

He padded across the room softly, unsure of who would be bothering him. Hopefully it wasn’t the innkeep demanding more payment or someone accusing him of something he hadn’t done.

Opening the door just a crack, Jaskier gasped. Thoughts were flying through his head as he tried to think of what to say, but all he could do was stare at the man in front of him. Eskel

Jaskier’s grip on the door lessened and he let go, allowing the door to swing wide. Eskel took it as an invitation, stepping in the room and closing the door behind him. Jaskier followed his movements curiously, still shocked by what he was seeing.

TV vs. Book - Which do you prefer?

-Cersei Lannister I love TV Cersei’s outfits. They’re so gorgeous and so detailed and Michele Clapton and Michele Carragher just pulls it out the fucking hat once again. Lena Heady is so powerful and beautiful and no-one could be Cersei as well as her -Sansa Stark (as Alayne Stone) Ok look. I know some people really don’t like the show’s “Dark Sansa” look/storyline but I think she’s such a badass sooo.... don’t @ me -Daenerys Targaryen Once again, Michele Clapton does the most amazing job with Daenerys’ outfits from seasons 1-8 and I love the little changes the show made to her character (for the most part...) I only wish we got to see more Essosi costumes and short-haired Dany would’ve been awesome (although I don’t think I’d want to give up her amazing braids either) -Margaery Tyrell TV Margaery is better in every way. Sorry. Natalie Dormer just is Margaery. Love the outfits, love the hair, love the attitude -Missandei Missandei is an absolute angel and she didn’t deserve to die in chains the way the show made her. I kinda understand why the show made her older so that’s not a problem for me. I would’ve loved to see more of her wardrobe, though! -Myrcella Baratheon Yeah, once again, TV Myrcella’s outfits (all of Dorne’s outfits tbh) are just gorgeous and I’m in love with them oh my god. Her TV death however... that will not be forgiven. I’m still hurt over what they did to the Dorne storyline -Tyene Sand No, I don’t know why the show changed Tyene’s character so drastically. They pretty much made her the polar opposite to her book counterpart. Again, I love all the Dornish costumes from the show but we can all agree that the sandsnake’s storylines were royally fucked, right? -Talisa Maegyr/Jeyne Westerling I really like Talisa. I think she was a really cool addition to the story and the Stark family. Her outfits were never that exciting but within the context of the show that made sense as she had to be quite practical - Ellaria Sand Ok so, this one’s a bit complicated. The costumes on the show for Ellaria are gorgeous (again, my love for Dornish fashion coming through) and she is acted by Indira Varma brilliantly... but what the hell? They made her look right with her dark hair and sultry dresses but her character is pretty much the opposite to how she is in the books. They turned a kind and loving mother and partner into a cruel and revenge hungry villain. Once again, the show killed the Dornish storyline. - Melisandre I. Want. Her. Hair. Seriously though oh my god I think the TV version of Melisandre looks so pretty! I think they could’ve really easily gone over the top with her outfits but the kept them really classy. I mean, I hate her and I think she got off way too lightly for what she did to Shireen but visually she’s amazing!

So it was recently pointed out to me (via reading someone else's tags lol) that there's only one DP/Merlin crossover on FFN (well, there's 3 but the other two are not in English). Sooo... since you're the queen of crossovers (imo), what would your take be on a DP/Merlin crossover?

I can easily tell you how I’d start a DP/Merlin crossover. Because that’s actually in my giant file of fic ideas. Here you go:

Danny could end up in Merlin’s world after touchingsomething in Clockwork’s tower. He goes to ask about Dani’s whereabouts,feeling guilty for not seeking her out and worrying about her, wanting toreassure himself that she is still safe, that the Ecto-Dejecto worked, thatVlad isn’t after her and that she is in no danger of destabilizing. Clockwork gives him a look. “Do you think I keep track of everyone’swhereabouts?”“Actually? Yeah.” Danny shifted on his feet. “I mean, you watcheverything, right? So even if you don’t keep track of certain people, you couldfind them.” He paused, waiting for some sort of confirmation fromClockwork. When he received none, he ventured, “Right?”This time, he was rewarded with a small smile. “It is possible.”“So you’ll help me find her?”There was a beat of silence.  Then, “And what if she does not want to befound?”Oh. Danny swallowed. “Then I won’t look, I guess. I’ll wait for her tocome back. Just…I want to know that she’s safe, Clockwork. Please?”A sigh. “Very well.” The ghost of time turned, and Danny took a smallstep closer to the table. He’d never seen Clockwork keep anything in his tower before. It made sense thathe did, but he just never had it out when Danny came around. Probably becausehe always knew when Danny was coming. Which meant it had to be strange forthings to be out now, but that didn’t mean there was any harm in taking acloser look. If Clockwork had left this stuff out, then maybe it meant he wantedDanny to see it.

Danny reached out to pick up the nearest object at hand, andClockwork’s voice floated back to him. “Don’t touch anything.”“Sorry,” Danny mumbled, withdrawing his hand. ———– caught hiseye, and he’d reached out again before he really realized what he was doing.Surely it wouldn’t hurt just to turn something over to get a better look at it,right? Clockwork just wanted to make sure he didn’t break anything.

Famous last words, right? *grins* So, I personally would set a crossover back in Merlin’s time, as opposed to showing Merlin in Danny’s time. There’s…just a lot more risk with Danny being the unwitting time traveller. (Also, he’s canonically time travelled, so there’s that, too. I mostly just like time travel, though. And a Merlin who’s lived through so much would be less surprised by everything with Danny than a Merlin who has not.) Then there’s the potential for initial misunderstandings, which is pretty much a given for any crossover fic of any length that I write. 

In this scenario, Clockwork allowed the time travel to happen, which would mean there’s something Danny needs to do. (This would also be my cop out for language differences not being an issue.) There would be something to do with the Veil and the Dorocha and–perhaps even more importantly, depending on the ultimate plot–the Cailleach, and possibly but to a lesser extent the Horn of Cathbhadh, since those are the most logical connections between the two shows, and those are the kinds of connections I use to build a stronger crossover. Something like the Cup of Life may or may not turn out to be a Ghost Zone relic in Danny’s time. 

Danny would also really misunderstand magic at first, since his reference for it is basically Desiree; that’s the only kind of magic that he knows is ‘real’, and not something out of stories/to do with technology/channelled by gems. He might not understand how the Sidhe staff works, exactly, but he’d pick up on it being magic a lot faster (and therefore be wary of it if he ever saw it) than he would figure out that the reason weird stuff keeps happening is not because his powers are acting up or because he’s being clumsier than usual because he’s nervous about this entire situation. (Who knew magic was ever banned in Camelot? He thought he knew the stories of the Arthurian legend as well as the next person. Apparently he does not. Or apparently the truth is a lot different than the stories.) He’s not particularly worried about being burned at the stake when he can just go intangible, but he’s changed the past by mistake before, and starting another witch hunt because he uses his ghost powers in front over everyone is not preferable. It would probably not be good. And he should figure out how the heck to get back home. Or even just to the Ghost Zone. He thought Clockwork would’ve popped in by now to explain something or at least berate him, but he hasn’t. 

Now, Merlin’s used to hiding his magic, even if he’s not always terribly good at it, just like Danny’s used to hiding his secret. And until Danny hears someone refer to Merlin as Merlin, he’d be expecting Merlin to look like Dragoon. Which would give Merlin a little bit more freedom when it comes to investigating the stranger that turned up in the courtyard of the citadel which apparently no idea of where he was and no guards reporting seeing him sneaking around until someone saw him and started ringing the bell to alert everyone that there was an intruder. Danny’s excuses, naturally, will be terrible. Merlin’s excuses are also terrible. I’d pretend that he could spot another liar, if only with Gaius’s help. Merlin would initially think Danny has magic, except he’s apparently never heard of Emrys when Merlin’s forced to ask out loud when Danny cannot hear him telepathically. Except Danny’s reaction when he does realize that Merlin is Merlin? That is unnerving. Really unnerving. Merlin might even call Kilgharrah and ask if there’s anything in some prophecy he hasn’t been told about yet about someone fitting Danny’s description.

I would probably set it once Arthur’s king–I like going AU between S4 and S5–but, uh, finer details would depend on why exactly Danny needs to be there. Which I haven’t figured out, which is why I haven’t written anything else for this idea. Morgana would probably get involved eventually, if only because she’s curious about the newcomer once she catches wind of him, and possibly because she thinks she might be able to use him. Poor Danny, still unable to escape from people who want to control him–and have the means to do it.

Minorest of spoilers for EP 33

A side benefit of having multiple enchanters on their side was that, when all was said and done, there were people who could wipe the memories of an entire crew of FBI agents. 

Well, every FBI agent except one. Joseph Stern’s memory was left intact, a fact for which Barclay is eternally grateful.

If nothing else, he’s glad he doesn’t have to re-reveal himself to Stern. Joseph knows he’s Bigfoot, and seems far more excited by that fact than Barclay expected. 

It’d begun the night after the sinkhole. He and Stern had been friendly up til  then (once Barclay determined that Stern had zero idea he was Bigfoot). Then he’d come into the kitchen late that night, asking Barclay if he had any baking soda and vinegar. 

“Making a volcano?” He’d grinned, handing Stern the items.

“No” he shook his head, “I’m frustrated with my search and the incident last night was extremely stressful. I’m going to calm down by cleaning the sink. And yes, I’m aware that cleaning to relax is strange.”

“Not really” Barclay shrugs, “I do it all the time.”

Which is how Stern spent the next two hours in the kitchen helping Barclay clean and talking his ear off. 

A month later, Stern was keeping Barclay company while he prepped dough for the morning and Barclay had kissed him up against the counter. Stern threw his arms around him with comical enthusiasm. In bed the next morning, they’d agreed to keep the whole thing a secret, since neither of their bosses would be keen on the idea. 

Then the mimic had come, and everything had gone to hell and then Barclay was cut off from topside. His closest friend was missing. And he and Stern didn’t see each other for two long months. 

But now everything was okay. They were all okay. They’d been that way for months now.

Except. 

Sterns’ superiors had recently called with an offer of a promotion. He could stay in Kepler, and act as a supervisory agent for the whole region, or he could return to D.C for an even higher position. 

Stern has asked Barclay, multiple times, which he thinks he should choose. And every time, Barclay says it’s up to Stern since he knows which one will be best for his career goals. 

Of course, he is frantically hoping Stern chooses to stay. But he won’t tell him that. He can’t make the other man feel like he has to choose between Barclay and his career. He wants Stern to do what’s best for Stern, even if it breaks his heart.

“What’re you going to do now?” Aubrey looks at him from the table where she and Dani are putting the finishing touches on Dr. Harris Bonkers new costumes. 

“What do you mean?”

“I mean, like, now that the abominations aren’t coming through, you’ll have a lot more time.”

Barclay finishes wiping down one table, starts on another, “Dunno, hadn’t given it much thought. Probably just stay at the lodge. I like working here, and lord knows Mama shouldn’t be running it by herself. She needs a vacation.”

“Sooo, what, in ten years you’re still gonna be here, cooking and cleaning and making out with Stern in the janitors closet?” Aubrey teases.

“That was one time!”

“Aren’t there things you want to do that you didn’t get a chance to back in your younger days?” Dani glances at him from where she’s hot-gluing red rhinestones to a bow-tie. 

Barclay pauses for a moment.

“I mean, sure. I’d really like to drive the 101, maybe go to Alaska again. Indrid says Chicago’s gotten really cool, and I’ve really been meaning to ask about getting a booth at the farmers market in the summer to help make some extra money for the lodge, build a full life in Kepler even…” he trails off “..even have kids, maybe, one day.”

He’s realized something about about all those dreams, and it must show on his face because Dani and Aubrey share a concerned look.

“You okay?”

“Yeah, I’m, I’m great, and I have to go find Stern.”

Joseph Stern is doing paperwork, like he almost always is at 10:30 am on a Tuesday.

The door to his hotel room bursts open and he jumps.

“Barclay? Is everything alright?”

In five short strides Barclay reaches him. A large, familiar hand settles on each of his upper arms as deep brown eyes look at him imploringly. 

“Take the job here.”

“Barclay, I-”

“Please,” Barclay kneels down, takes both his hands, “please, let me finish. I’m in love with you, Joseph. But more than that, I, I was thinking just now about what my life will look like in the future and every time I pictured it I saw you next to me. You’re clever and funny and brave and you’ve got an amazing ability to roll with the punches and you love me even when I’m like seven feet tall and scary looking. I want to make a life together, the one that we both deserve. I want to travel together, learn together, live together. Er,more than we already do.” 

Stern laughs a little at that last comment, watches Barclays gaze drop down to their joined hands. 

“So, what do you say?” He asks softly.

Stern’s whole heart is lit up like the Vegas strip, and he cups Barclays face in his hands so they’re looking at each other once more. 

“I’d say that I feel the same way. And that I was trying to tell you that I already decided to take the job here.”

Barclays mouth opens and closes, but no words come out.

“I was going to tell you over lunch. I like it here. The work would be interesting. And I fit in much better with all you weirdos than I did with people back in D.C. And,” he rubs each of Barclay’s cheekbones with his thumbs, “I have someone here who makes me happier than I’ve been in a very long time.”

Strong arms pull him close and Barclay kisses him like it’s the last time even though it will be just one of many. Stern sighs into the kiss, runs his fingers through that thick, dark hair, huffing out a laugh when Barclay kisses his neck and accidentally tickles his cheek with his beard. 

“Besides, with a honest to god magician, the mothman, and whatever the heck Jake is hanging around, you need a man on the inside to make sure the FBI leaves you alone.”

Barclay is beaming at him, “Always knew you were on our side.”

“Yes, and I always will be. But more importantly,” he kisses Barclay again, “I’ll always be by yours.”

I had to come here to personally state that I read chapter 10 of WTWTA and liek couldn’t have imagined a better chapter!!! It was LITERALLY perfection from the Q&A, they’re teasing each other, all the pinning looks! The fucking fact that they slept in the same tent because of the thunderstorm and spent the night playing 20 questions and fucking holding hands I wanted to cry at our sweet soft beans!!!! Like that’s all they did that night how fucking sweet my whole heart!!! Dany’s (CONT)

(CONT) Danys interactions with Ghost like he already knows she’s gonna be his mom!!! All the nature and Jon encouraging Dany to see all the beauty she works so hard to save with her job! The night questions seriously I could read an entire fic of them just asking and learning about each other o love these guys sooo much! And the internal struggle of Dany was so beautifully and realistically captured! Jon’s patience was lovely too! And then when they decide to act on their feelings because (CONT)

(CONT) because Dany realizes she wants to be with Jonnand your just fucking cheering her on like yes honey get m your happy!!! Ya deserve this!!! But also Dany getting internally jealous of the internet hitting on Jon was gold! As it helped her realize what she wanted! Oh my gosh the smut! It was the absolute perfect balance of hot as fuck and still so sweet and romantic!!! Jon going down on her and realizing Dany’s shitty exes didn’t do that really! (love our boy Jon men seriously take note(Con 

(CONT) Jon also having to kiss Dany to refrain from declaring his love to her!!! My heart!! Also Dany having the perfect response to Jon’s scars and insecurities and making him feel sooo loved and not ashamed! And oh my gosh Dany shipping into Valyrian and Jon finding that the hottest thing ever!!! Literally that’s been my Jonerys headcanon since forever so thank you for making it so in the fic!! Wish we got that on the show :(. But yeah seriously absolutely perfection thank you for this gift!!!

I’m so glad you enjoyed the chapter so much :) I had a blast finally writing these two like flirting and actually acting like a couple and getting jealous over each other lol :) And idk how I ended up making them so soft in this ‘verse I never intended to but then it just  HAPPENED lol whoops. Game of Thrones – 8x04 “The Last of the Starks” episode analysis – or who the fuck ever let D&D write stuff

Aftermath - but everyone has their wardrobe on fleek, hair looking fab and they even had time to clean the entire field of Winterfell

The episode starts with the funeral pyre and how DARE you make me love Jorah even more and twist the knife in my heart. And did you have to show me Theon, Beric, Edd’s and Lyanna’s bodies??? 

RUDE.

Jon is doing a big speech and it is nice and drove the sobbing further, but I get it this is Jon’s turf so he has to be the one making the big speech. That is such a Dany thing though, and I can’t help to think, when put into perspective with the rest of the episode, that it’s yet again a thing Dany has lost. But more on that later. 

The pyres are lit, sad music, more sobbing from me. OOOPS BUT DID YOU CATCH THAT JONERYS EXCHANGE OF LOOKS? Because I did! I can’t help but think how he looks at her for reassurance and she feels it and she turns and she is just.so.broken. And then she cries and I cry again.

And then we get a feast and suddenly everyone is happy and stuff… ok, I guess life goes on. Maybe Sandor’s crass remark, under the guise of a funny moment, was meant to make us think on it. But maybe that’s too deep for D&D who the fuck knows. 

Let’s talk about Gendry’s legitimisation. 

Dany does it quite publicly, and small exchange between her and Tyrion makes sense. Honestly, if she hadn’t done it herself then and there, it would have come up at a later point, but with 2 episodes left there’s no time. S.ansa does her shady looks because she throws shade and Bran just stares into the void smh.

“I mostly live in the past now” - to me this means Bran has become this empty shell of a man and he just visits the past and checks out cool shit. It’s like a kid who gets access to YouTube for the first time. Heck he can even see his dad or whoever else he misses if he feels anything at all now. Because if he doesn’t even have “wants” then? What was the point of it all? God I swear the writers will not rest until they will have reduced all characters to tropes and empty shells of their former selves.

Tormund and the gang around Jon; Tyrion with Jaime ; Dany alone

This scene right here was the beginning of the end. Remember when Tormund was a dude who was in awe by strong women? D&D don’t. He suddenly is so far up Jon’s ass nothing could take him out. Guess it pays off for him in the end since Jon just gifts him Ghost.

Gendrya - or the moment Gendry decided to pull a Ted Mosby 

I feel so bad OMG they did this ship so dirty. However. Arya saying that was expected. But I call bullshit on her never rethinking her decision. Girl’s got a list and she just can’t NOT try to finish it, I mean, wouldn’t you? After you killed such a big boss as the NK? 

At the same time, they would be trying for faux feminism, pulling a Arya doesn’t need a man to be happy. Guess the sex was just to try it? Wow can you believe they cheapened this ship and that beautiful moment like that? 

I’m so sorry babies, you deserved much better. Guess Gendry was always meant to have his heart broken by a Stark girl once he became a Baratheon. Wow. 

Weirdly enough!!! And spoiler maybe?? Leak? Idk. But I feel like Gendrya will prevail (also because she looks heartbroken to reject him like that…). When asked if Gendrya will rule the 7K, Friki said no, these two aren’t made for ruling anything. For what’s worth, Friki mentioned he does know Arya’s endgame and shebis confirmed alive in the Dragon Pit in 8x06 :)

Uff yeah I did not like that. It felt wrong in the context and it felt cheap and I…. yeah IDK. And then Jaime leaves. He could have at least told Brienne that he is he only one who can kill Cersei or IDK, but not leave her like that. Jeesh dude my poor Knight, she is gutted by him. 

Jonerys makeout and chat and hey who wanted angst? Turn on your location I just wanna chat. 

Sooo flip side: I somehow, for the second time, predicted a thing in my fic. HOWEVER D&D keep only getting half my fics because GURL DID YOU NOT GET THE SMUT MEMO? AND THE FLUFF MEMO?

So Dany goes to find Jon, again, who is tipsy, and Jon suddenly remembers to give Dany some comfort for having lost Jorah… 

The set up for Dany saying ILY it’s a bit .. ehh. But her actual words: “He loved me, but I couldn’t love him back, not the way he wanted it. Not the way I love you. Is that alright?” 

A+ scene. I love how he can’t help himself and as soon as she is in his arms’ range he just pulls her into him, BEFORE she asks “Is that alright?”. 

Uff emo side note here, this scene and this phrase reminded me of this song. Listen and sob. you’re welcome.

On that depressive note, wow that make out tho. Two things I learned from this scene: 1 - Jon is horny drunk, which same; and 2 - Jon is a tiddies guy like he dove in and went for the tiddies, which also same. Am I Jon? Is this why I keep guessing his fucking reactions but D&D won’t give me the rest????? We’ll never know.

And… then Jon stops and pulls back. And I KNOW that in the BTS we are told he is disgusted or whatever along those lines, but to me?? That look means he is CONFLICTED. And listen, if y’all wanted it to make it to mean "disgusted" then you should have made Kit do it differently since YOU KNOW HE WAS FAKE GAGGING TO EMILIA EVERY OTHER MINUTE. YOU CAN’T KEEP ADDING SHIT LATER YOU FUCKING DUMBASSES YOU EITHER PUT IT IN THE ACTUAL  SHOW AND THE ACTUAL ACTING OR STFU.

But I guess to me that rejection was more for the general audience than for us. C’mon he clearly loves her, his dick was so hard he was about to nut then and there. Stop bringing your 21st century considerations into a feudalistic fantasy where you have Royals and dragons. Also FUCK YOU VARYS BECAUSE EVEN IN THE NORTH AUNT AND NEPHEW MARRIED SO FUCK YOU BALDIE.

I digress. Then Dany echoes what Jon himself thinks/said - wishing she would have never known. And then we get something that I felt when she was alone and sad at the feast. “I saw the way they looked at you. I know that look; the same way people looked at me, but never on this side of the sea” - yeah so I need a break.

This here - cemented for me what I think the show is doing: stripping everything away from Dany: her armies, her children, her people and the love her people have for her… then Jon. And I don’t mean that as in the sense of some bullshit fleak. No, I mean it in the context of this episode. Because Jon never says I love you back (and maybe @normalisjustafairytale is right and Jon is afraid to say it after Ygritte), and he rejects her, and he says he can’t NOT tell his sisters, even if Dany begs him not to. So in a sense, for now at least, Jon is being taken away from her. So you have all this isolation and losing and losing and then what does she have left? The only constant in her life? The fucking Iron Throne. Because at the moment there is nothing else for her and she probably feels like she will be nothing without it. Hence why she presses to go and take Cersei down. I won’t lie to you, it is cheap writing and very lame and honestly I have read fics a million times better than this bullshit, but they will, at one point, hit us with the boatie reveal, and when that happens, and when Jon fucking finally pulls through and stands by her side, she will have something else, a different constant in life. Moreover, because she realises that the people here in Westeros will never love her, she will have even more of a reason to bow out, say a big fuck you, take her boatie and her hubs and get to her house with the red door. 

This is not just wishful thinking, it is very much D&D, and they will of course “humble the powerful woman” (I puked in my mouth by writing that). But also, my consolation is that with this episode, heck even the people who weren’t necessarily her fans, are on her side and asking her to burn KL down. Which I don’t think she would, but more on that in a different post. God this post is already long.

King’s Landing mess & the shitty ass parley that even Captain Sparrow could have organised better

Ew how much time has it passed since Cersei is already claiming to be preggers? 

“So much for the breaker of chains” - is again, a sign they are trying to strip Dany of everything she has and is. 

Tyrion and Qyburn - ew, but also Qyburn has a point, why would Cersei surrender? Oh and I think the point to save Rhaegal from the NK only for him to die at the hands of Euron is to further handicap Dany and make the Cersei threat real, and have a reason to keep Drogon away from KL - HAVE YOU ALL SEEN THE SCORPIONS EVERYWHERE?

Ugh Tyrion stop trying to get Cersei to love you LMFAO she doesn’t. But I know, it is hard to break from toxic relationships and abusers. Tyrion told Cersei “you are not a monster” and she literally went “HOLD MY BEER”.

Missandei’s death made me sick to my stomach and traumatised me for life. We should all collectively agree to NEVER give D&D our attention again and never let them write anything again. 

Missandei hatefully spewing DRACARYS as her last words was so strong it made me start crying because holy shit this was a peaceful person, and for her to show this much hate and rage was so gutting…  fuck me. I am crying again. I think she also meant, besides from the obvious, “there is no reasoning with these people, so why bother. Might as well blow it the fuck up.”

And Grey’s reaction wow - again, I was about to puke, despite the scene not being the most gorey on GoT, but it was so intrinsically and viscerally wrong my mind could not deal. 

In conclusion

Poor Dany, she has lost everything. EVERYTHING. She is literally at her lowest. After the discussion with Jon, she slipped back the Queen mask - like you can pinpoint the moment she does so! And she keeps it on in front of everyone else but her dragons.

I am expecting a very very cold (but very fragile inside) Dany in 8x05. I am expecting her to push Jon away. Oh and at the ending of 8x04 she totally just gets up on Drogon and goes back to Dragonstone. No way she does anything yet so soon.

I haven’t watched any of the BTS and Making of videos, nor have I watched the 8x05 promo. Will do soon.

Stay strong, jonerys is still going strong. I am here until the very end and I still think this will end with jonerys together. Will it be good writing? Nope. But it will end well. As I keep saying. We’re missing the “sweet” in this fucking “bittersweet” shit show. Stop saying it ends badly because of 8x03.

Fuck these writers and their portraying of characters how the fuck do you misunderstand characters so deeply.

They turned Dany into a power hungry awful ruler who doesn’t care about killing her people which she was Always against.

They made Brianne cry over some fucking cock she could have killed in seconds after he played her like that.

They killed off Missandei the only woman of color to use her as a pawn to make Dany angrier for no reason and made her death seem so ... small.

They turned Dany and Sansa against each other for no fucking reason like Dany is no fool she would listen to the logistical advice Sansa is giving because she is a smart queen who made it this far for a fucking reason and would not fall prey to some stupid fight pitting women against each other.

Sansa has grown sooo much and I’m so proud of how she has become an intelligent considerate leader but they made her turn against Dany for no good reason to make things “more interesting” even though it’s totally out of character because Dany and Sansa were not given a single opportunity to really talk with each other they were just put against each other from the beginning.

They have given Jon ZERO character development like that mothafucker was literally resurrected and he is Still the same person as always. Jon would be an awful king he is easily manipulated, has NO motivation for the throne, and is awful at political relations demanding choices which may be difficult and not always just, he is good at fighting and being in the North and being a military leader Not a king.

They built up to the Bran versus Night King plot and made that seem like such a deeper issue and ended without any explanation about where Bran went during the battle, how he can use his powers of looking into the past, who the Night King was and if there is a chance of something like him coming back because again... fucking time travel and he can See all of time yet that whole plot just ended like that??

And the WoOooRST thing ever literally fucking NO one cares about the actual people in these kingdoms except apparently Varys so literally None of them deserve the damn throne.

The ONLY characters that are well fleshed out and fully developed who remain true to themselves AND grow are Arya and Cerci. Like at this point fuck them all and end the show with those two because no one else deserves the damn throne.

Allll because these writers have done Such a disservice to these characters who we have learned to understand and grow with... I am so disappointed they should have hired George Martin and writers from Better epics for this season with the budget they had I would have rather had Horrible unbelievable costumes and sets with a strong moving and true to the characters and plot line season over this ridiculous season.

It’s depressing because season 8 could have been sooo much better. 

BUT, I didn’t hate the finale as much as I thought I would. 

I mean I was expecting HIMYM bad, but for me it wasn’t. As for others, it was and I’m sorry for that. We all deserved better. 

With that being said, here’s my take on the last episode. 

Tyrion going down into all the rumble to find Jamie and Cersei was really fucking sad. The only family he had left he found dead clinging to each other. I hated their deaths but Peter did a really good job in that scene. 

When Jon stood up to Grey Worm, I started to panic cause like holy shit, I didn’t know what was going to happen. Jon was right, they should have just been prisoners at that point. 

I really thought after last week’s episode that Arya was going to try to kill Dany. But then when she came up and stood by Jon she was all Team Dany and it made no fucking sense to me. 

Dany’s entrance in this episode was sooo good, like that fucking shot of her with Drogon behind her. Wow. 

Peter, once again, was the best during that scene with Dany at the top of the stairs. “You freed your brother.” “And you slaughtered a city.” and then he threw his pin down and I was like Daaammmnnnn. 

Dany’s speech was definitely in character so I can’t say much about that. 

Honestly it was hard to tell if ashes or snow was falling. We all assumed it was ashes, but then one fell on Dany’s face and melted instantly, so again I was so confused. 

“I know a killer when I see one.” I FUCKING LOVE ARYA STARK. More on that later. 

Jon and Tyrion’s convo about ending Daenery’s reign felt really really long to me. Like longer than necessary. Idk.

When Jon went to go find Dany, and Drogon appeared from under all the snowy ash rumble. Ummm, how long was he laying there??? WEIRD. 

Dany walking across to the iron throne was a pretty cool shot, she only touched it and never sat down. I liked Jon raising his voice to her actually like, he showed so much emotion of how badly he wanted to get through to her. And then they kissed and I’m like yeah he’s gonna stab her isn’t he. (I saw a spoiler about him killing her. Ugh) And then he did and it wasn’t as big of a moment as it should have been. Like she’s been the main character the entire series, it should have been bigger than that imo.

DROGON DESERVED BETTER. I CRIED SO HARD WATCHING HIM CRY AND TRY TO WAKE HIS MOM UP. YASSS BABY BURN THAT FUCKER. AND THEN HE CARRIED HER AWAY. I BALLED.

Did anyone else think for a second he was going to drop her body in the ocean???

I also thought he was going to try to burn Jon and then he was going to be unaffected by the fire. But no. 

And then they release Tyrion to stand it front of what turned out to be all the house Lords and Ladies. 

AND THEN I SAW THAT GENDRY AND ARYA WERE IN THE SAME SCENE AND SCREAMED. 

It was pretty funny how Tully got shut down by Sansa. 

Arya’s comment to Yara, in character but a little over dramatic. Idk. That whole scene was strange. 

Wasn’t expecting them to choose Bran and Bran to accept it so easily. 

Davos’ “Not sure I get a vote, but aye.” LMAOOOO. I LOVE HIM SO MUCH.

Gendry’s only line in the episode, “Aye.” But damn did he look GOOD.

I love Arya okay, no matter her storyline. Sure, she needs to marry Gendry and make babies. BUT, her sailing to discover what is west. I’ll take it, cause she didn’t marry anyone else and neither did he. You can’;t convince me either he ain’t on that fucking boat. Arya wants to make history by discovering what’s beyond the maps. Fine by me, do your thing girl, but come back to your blacksmith eventually. K.

So, I just read the dumpster fire that was The Iron Throne script. 

Really reinforced for me that Game of Thrones, a show about politics and power, was adapted by two people who understand neither.

(I realize this sounds edgy and irritating but Jesus Christ that script. 

The bit about Dany’s “liberation theology” wtf are you even talking about?! Pretty sure they just saw those words in a book somewhere and thought they sounded cool. Because monarchs who burn down cities have exactly nothing in common with socialist priests. Like...what exactly is the theology part of her liberation theology? Are they suggesting that she’s founding a state religion with herself as the center/god-figure? Because that’s kind of interesting, and I can half see it, but it certainly isn’t the focus of the text. No, I’m pretty sure they just wanted to use big words and sound smart.

And using “we had to burn the village to save it.” Gross. I’d usually applaud a reference to the Vietnam War, highlighting Dany as an imperialist etc. But they cloaked that same scene, the scene where Dany speaks to the Dothraki and Unsullied, in so much bullshit ‘fall of the west’ and ‘oooo scary non-white foreigners!’ imagery. Like, ‘Dany is bad because she burned the city BUT ALSO because she’s letting these scary brown guys in!’ And if they’re trafficking in this kind of casual stereotyping, it tells me they haven’t really thought all that much about Vietnam, about America and the west’s relationship to the rest of the world. I want this to direction to be an interesting observation about imperialism, but they’re again just using phrases they think sound cool without thinking much about their history and context.

And the big ‘lets choose a king’ meeting reads sooo much worse than it looked on screen. Which I thought was impossible. And the direction ‘nods all around display general consensus at this notion.’ Oh, these lords fought about who would be king for the entirety of the series. It was in fact the FOCUS of the entire series. But now they all just smile and nod cause Tyrion speaks so good. I HATE IT.

AND THE THIS WHOLE PASSAGE

Oh, whoops, Tyrion slipped and fell into an immensely powerful position! Guess we’re supposed to believe that was a complete accident! No sir, he wasn’t acting in self interest! It just so happened that he nominated a king who would make him hand! Complete coincidence! Powerful people never scheme for more power, everyone in a high level position just happened to fall into it!

Why did I spend so long thinking about these stage directions!? Ugh!?
