wait why are we not crossing Danny Phantom over with Jack Frost (Rise of the Guardians)? Or importing Jack along with Danny into the DC verse. Tbh I don't really care about adding any of the other Rise of the Guardians characters, nor the Christmas themes, but Jack Frost would fit so well as just a random imported character into DP x DC fics. Consider: 1 - they're both cartoon dead kids, even of a similar age.

2 - Jack Frost's "belief creates/grants power to/allows living humans to see spirits" cosmology fits neatly into the ghost zone cosmology (at least for fanon versions, idk enough about canon), especially considering that one kid ghost that adults can't see in DP, and the Guardians all having "centers" that sound a lot like "cores". In this context, Jack Frost is perhaps a cross between a regular dead-human ghost and a neverborn? Like he died under his lake, and when his ghost formed it got all tangled up with the concept of winter/a nascent winter neverborn's formation, with the result that he's sorta the ghost equivalent of an irl human chimera (the result of twins merging together at an early developmental stage, resulting in the final human having different DNA in different cells/body parts but still being a single person). 3 - they'd make for fun friends or maybe frenemies or rivals I think.

4 - they both have ice powers.

5 - they both have a mega big bad enemy with a stupid/blatantly evil name - Pariah Dark and Pitch Black. They're so similar!! Like why not just chuck this third dead kid into the dp x dc mix? We could have, like, a triplets Danny & Damian & Jack Frost situation? Or a "both Danny and Jack Frost independently show up in Gotham at around the same time for different reasons, resulting in lots of confusing rumors and maybe a spider-man pointing meme" situation, maybe with extra "Dr. Freeze is concerned by the sudden influx of teens with ice powers into Gotham" situation. Heck, maybe also throw in the Todoroki family kids (My Hero Academia). Maybe Dabi and his sibs form a brand new Gotham mafia. Or just add the kids with ice powers only, and have an ice powers mega-crossover with all the fandoms featuring ice powered-characters you can think of. Freeze Gotham! I'm losing the thread here but anyway. Jack Frost x DP and/or DP x DC x Jack Frost. I want it.

A small DP/DC promp

Casper high is on a field trip in Gotham.

Danny is in the team with Tucker, Kwan and Dash as most of the time.

They have a picture hunt around Gotham.

After a while they notice strange people in white following them. White jackets, black ties.

As Amity park kids the of course thought, these were GIW agents they don't know.

Everybody knows Danny is having to much ecto in his system. They sometimes see his eyes change color. No surprise if you think of the Fenton Parents lap safety.

So as the people get closer and one of them grabs Danny's arm. Dash hits him before they can speak.

They got in a big fight.

Penguin gets called cause his Goons are fighting a school class.

Things calm down quick as Oswald came. The Teacher told them to stop.

As he was talking to Mr. Lancer the Teacher said:" The children are very sorry. They thought your Henchpeople were part of the Government."

Penguins Goons are also very sorry:" We thought it was a Wayne kid."

Penguin has also some Questions in his head like: why would high school kids get into a fist fight with the Government?

And why did the Teacher think that was a reasonable explanation?

Streamer Danny AU, but he’s a really minor streamer. Like, he does it mainly just for his own fun and only has a few intermittent viewers.

But somehow Jason finds his channel anyway, and something about his voice is captivating. The pit rage quiets down in his presence. So he starts tuning in to basically every stream, or just putting on the VODs in the background to fall asleep to.

And on the other side, Danny takes note of this new subscriber who’s quite possibly his first truly dedicated viewer. So he starts interacting with him on stream sometimes - greeting him when he shows up in the chat, specifically asking/answering questions, etc

Needless to say, this did not help Jason’s growing semi-parasocial crush in the slightest…

This is fantastic. I do also want to note though that beekeeping honey bees is not the same thing as bee conservation, because the usual kept honey bees are an invasive species that has a tendency to out compete local bees. The local bees are most often (but not always) solitary species. Some of them live alone in little ground burrows. Some of them don't look anything like the honey and bumble bees we usually think of. Some of them have symbiotic relationships with very particular native plants, with some species having a very specific native plant that they feed off exclusively and that is pollinated exclusively by them, so the elimination of the local bees eliminates the plant too, as no other bee can replace the particular bee. That said though... It's believable for Danny to think that beekeeping is "saving the bees", and then there can just be a scene where Jazz is exasperated by this or something, but also no harm done because they're ghost bees and not even competing for the living flowers that the real bees want. I suppose one might also argue that Gotham might be entirely bereft of native bees anyway? Does Ivy populate her garden with native bee species so that she can have particular native plants? Does Ivy care at all about whether the plants are native or not?? If Ivy cares, we can have Ivy pick a fight with Danny over the invasive ghost bees. And to the bats, this just looks like Ivy HATES some random dude for no discernible reason at all.

DP x DC prompt: Beekeeper Danny

Ooookay, Danny has moved to Gotham for <insert reason here> and is faced with a problem. Yes, Gotham has higher levels of ambient ectoplasm than your average city, but it's nowhere near those of Amity Park who has a goddamn artificial hell mouth smack in the center of it. Also, the ectoplasm which IS there is contaminated with some nasty shit that makes Danny feel ill when he takes too much of it in. Having his friends back in Amity Park ship him flasks of pure ecto on the sly is difficult to say the least, so he starts thinking about ways to both concentrate and purify Gotham's ecto so he's not one shipment interruption from being in really bad shape.

He get's his solution from Sam. On his bi-weekly video call with her and Tucker, she gets to ranting about bee conservation. Tucker makes a joking comment about honey being basically bee vomit, and Sam tears into him saying "That is a gross oversimplification at best and outright bee-slander at worst!" This perks Danny's curiosity, so he looks up the biological process by which bees turn nectar into honey...and he's found his answer. Blob ghosts are basically the filter feeders of the Ghost Zone/Infinite Realms. If he can get a bunch of them to behave kinda like honey bees, his ecto supply should be assured.

It works...a bit too well...

Now Danny has a swarm of glowing green honey bees that are roughly the size of carpenter bees buzzing happily about him. Their queen is roughly the size of a large hummingbird. He heaves a weary sigh and starts looking up how to ACTUALLY keep bees and making skips out of ghost-friendly material for them to build their hive in on top of his apartment building.

But, won't Danny get complaints from his neighbors? Here's the kicker. Unless you are a 1) ghost, 2) halfa, 3) wearing specialized Fenton Ecto-Visual Goggles or 4) a mage, you cannot see, hear or feel the bees! They're buzzing around Gotham happily, slurping up the ecto to take back to the hive for processing. And they slurp it up from EVERYWHERE...including certain people.

Jason Todd is slightly confused but not about to look a gift horse in the mouth. Over the last few months, the Pit Rage has been decreasing gradually. He doesn't think much about it until he shows up at the BatCave for an all hands meeting that has been called because John Constantine needed to brief them on something...only for Con-job to take one look at Red Hood and shout that he's "COVERED IN FUCKING BEES!!!"
