The beer shoved at Y/N's face was almost as shocking as the person attached to it. Not that being given a plastic at a high school party full of drunk teenagers was shocking, but it was the person who was handing out the alcohol that was the problem.

Tonight was a little party at Jonny's house, and even though they didn't talk much, Jonny invited Y/N. That's where this beer situation came into play. Everyone knew about Danny Sullivan Blake's little outburst at school after he found out that Y/N saved his little brother Finney from bullies.

People excepted Y/N to leave the school grounds in a body bag after Danny got through with him, but to everyone's shock; he let Y/N go. Now, here at this party by nothing short of the inevitable, Danny Sullivan once again came face to face with Y/N in the public eye of their peers. "I'm sorry."

"Excuse me?" Y/N asked. He was actually shocked. Did Danny just apologize to him? The same guy who beat the shit out of Vance Hopper last June?

"Look. I ain't really good at showing my emotions, and if you tell anyone about this, I'll kill you, but I was wrong to treat you the way I did at school. You were just protecting my little brother, and I think I owe you a big thank you for that. So here." He held up the plastic cup of beer once again.

Y/N took the cup and smiled. "Thank you, Danny."

"Don't mention it, L/N."

Broadway has turned into something commercialised and all about money, rather than stages for stories to be shared. people only care about how much money shows make, but people never give new shows a try so amazing new shows that tell important stories and production and soundtrack and actors close. if there's not a big tv (specifically tv, people don't care about actual BROADWAY legends anymore) name for the media or it's not a revival people don't care. new musicals that tell historical stories that shouldn't be forgotten close after a few months, no matter how amazing the story or score or set or actors are. Broadway isn't about the heart anymore, it's about money and big names. it's barely even for theatre people.

Lempicka is closing and i am devastated for so many reasons. Harmony already closed earlier this year.

Tamara de Lempicka was a famous painter. she was married to a rich man, and originally painted their daughter or landscapes and things like that, but she eventually painted Rafaela -- her girlfriend. she painted her mainly naked and they loved each other. she was a bisexual painter, and more than that a brilliant painter, and she is being forgotten. she was part Jewish, too. she fled to Paris with her husband, which is where she met Rafaela.

there's a musical about her. it's closing on May 19th. it opened officially on Broadway on April 14th. both this year.

The Comedian Harmonists were a band. they were an internationally popular German band between 1928 and 1934. 3 of the 6 of them were Jewish. Nazi Germany started in 1933. you can probably piece together what happened, but i'll tell you anyway. they were separated and erased. they were not forgotten, they were erased. Nazis destroyed almost all of their recordings. the Harmonists never saw each other again. their names were Ari Leschnikoff, Harry Frommermann, Robert Biberti, Roman Cycowski, Erwin "Chopin" Bootz and Erich A. Collin.

there was a musical about them. it closed on February 4th, and opened officially on Broadway on November 13th (2023).

do not let Tamara or the Harmonists go forgotten. listen to Lempicka and Harmony. research the people. find bootlegs of the musicals if you can. learn about them. teach about them. please, don't let people forget about them.

this isn't about the musicals closing, these are about important people being forgotten and erased from history. please, don't let this happen.

i will literally never be over how peter mills is the one who went to hold matt after he got the news that hallie died. not even gabby could do it, but peter did it without hesitation. even though he felt some type of way towards casey, he went to comfort him when someone he loved and almost married died. everyone else was so shocked and didn’t know what to do, but peter? peter mills’s gut instinct was to put his personal feelings aside and comfort someone who he thought was making his life at work hell on purpose because he was with gabby. peter mills who instantly took in a puppy because it would’ve been drowned otherwise. peter mills who always tried to get people to smile. peter mills who lovingly cooked for everyone. i will never ever ever not love peter mills so much. he was such a great addition to the show. he was empathetic, kind, hard-working, ambitious, caring, determined. i love chicago fire so fucking bad, this show has genuinely made me sob so many times, so many ways, for so many different reasons.

Restaurant Idea: The Nicktoons Diner

I'm sure just about all of you are familiar with The Krabby Patty Kollab Wendy's launched back in October, commemorating of the 25th anniversary of SpongeBob SquarePants.

I tried for myself on opening day, and I really liked it.

But it did get me thinking about this....

What if there was a restaurant that was themed around not just SpongeBob, but all the Nicktoons in general.

And thus, I created the idea known as.....

THE NICKTOONS DINER!

If the name didn't clue you in already, this restaurant would be a diner, ala Steak n' Shake, Big Boy, and Denny's.

But with a Nickelodeon theming.

Layout is what you would expect from a diner.

There's the dining area with tables, booths, and a counter that you can sit and eat at.

And like any diner, you'll get a decent view of the kitchen.

The diner is also a drive-in, so you can eat in your own car.

Plus they'll actually provide a little disposable table for you to use while eating.

The dining area itself would be sporting a Nickelodeon theming, with orange and green colored chairs and a design of multicolored splats all over the floor.

And on the walls, you'll several pieces of art featuring hundreds of Nicktoon characters, dressed as workers of the diner and depicting them as working at the diner as well!

Now let's for the real meat of this post, the menu!

Burgers:

(All can be made double pattied if desired and sesame seed buns are used with just about all of them)

-The Krabby Patty: The trademark food of the restaurant! A simple Angus ground beef patty, seasoned and grilled to the perfection. Then topped with American cheese, lettuce, onions, tomatoes, pickles, ketchup, mustard and mayo.

-Sandy's Rodeo Burger: An Angus ground beef patty topped with sharp cheddar, onion rings, bacon, sliced jalapenos, and BBQ sauce.

-Aang's Veggie Burger: A plant-based protein patty topped with the same toppings as The Krabby Patty.

-Lynn's Meatball Sub: Seasoned, cooked balls of beef topped with melted mozzarella cheese and warm marinara sauce, all between a foot-long of white bread.

Y/N wasn't sure what to expect after he saved Finney Blake. He knows that he has an older brother named Danny, who is in the same Junior class as Y/N and how could Finney not tell his big brother what happened?

Still it was a shock when Danny Sullivan Blake grabbed Y/N and slammed him against the lockers the next day in the hallways. People gasped and looked at them, but no one dared to say or do anything about it. Danny was the scary loner guy in school. Even scarier than Vance Hopper. People think that Danny will make it out of high school in handcuffs.

"You messin with my little brother, L/N?" Danny growled, a tight grip on his shirt as Y/N could see unbridled anger in his brown eyes. If this wasn't a serious situation, Y/N would almost describe Danny as handsome or even hot. Like "I'm going to beat you with a baseball bat" type of hot.

When Y/N didn't respond to Danny's obviously nicely asked question, he slammed him against the lockers harder. "Answer me, dammit!"

"I don't like bullies." Y/N said. "I don't care where they're from."

"Why Finney? Huh? Were you hoping to get somethin out of it?" Danny demanded. He was just looking for a reason to kick Y/N's ass. Not that he needed one.

"I saw him crying. Bleeding. The bullies were calling him fag and queer. And I couldn't sit by and watch them do that to a sweet kid. So, go ahead. Beat the shit out of me. I was only trying to help your brother because he needed it." Y/N locked eyes with Danny and they engaged in an intense staring contest until Danny sighed, and let Y/N go.

"Thanks." And for a moment, Y/N could swear Danny almost smiled.

Then he was gone. He walked towards the door of the school and walked out as Y/N just processed what just happened and smirks. "You're welcome."
