Commiserations to Jeremy Clarkson: now his Sun column has been taken down, the celebrity must forfeit his chance to win the UK media’s most demented attack on Meghan award, 2022.

Fairness requires his article to be available for comparison with work from names including, in no particular order, Dan Wootton, Piers Morgan, Nigel Farage, Tom Bower, Brendan O’Neill of spiked and the Spectator’s Freddy Gray, not forgetting Richard Tice, Toby Young and Rod Liddle. Energised, perhaps, by the abundant material issuing from Montecito, more and more commentators are realising that a media career really can be based on, or refreshed by, repeating that the Duchess of Sussex is any or all of a talentless (yet cunning) mansion-dwelling liar, narcissist, bully, gold-digger, hypocrite and republic facilitator who stole “our” prince (Morgan: “dragged him out of the country off to your California mansion to fleece your royal titles”) whom she will dump – thanks to the demagogue-psychic Farage for this insight – when the time is right. To which the popular psychologist Dr Jordan Peterson tweeted: “This seems highly probable to me.”

Having said that, the trade is harder than it might look; the successful Markle-detractor must not only sustain Morgan-rivalling levels of abuse but produce some signature excuse for his feelings. An honourable mention, then, to Peterson who, new to the specialism, brought a scholarly perspective to bear on a Markle “archetype” podcast in which he’d been quoted (saying “I don’t think that men can control crazy women”). While compliant with Goldwater constraints on psychological speculation, Peterson added to his academic defence of “crazy women” the objection that Markle’s voice “just grates on me”. Elsewhere, the recently arrested career misogynist Andrew Tate seems to be the first of this men’s group to call her a bitch and worse. Why the anger? Unclear, but, invited on Morgan’s show, Tate recently regretted that “a lot of age-old traditions are being destroyed in real time”.

The above list should not, incidentally, be interpreted as some innate female inferiority in reviling Meghan. Credit is due, in fact, to the Daily Telegraph’s female team. The judges of this award are not, however, so “woke” as to favour less obsessive and comparatively pallid contributions to Meghan-hating by women, simply for the sake of diversity.

If it is any consolation to Clarkson, last year’s anti-Meghan content included work so outstandingly malignant that even after his article provoked international condemnation and record-breaking complaints, he may not have triumphed. Our judges noted that this sort of sexualised, unashamedly pathological fantasy about a determined and attractive woman would probably be considered fairly basic in online groups favoured by resentful incels.

Moreover, one of the challenges for specialist Markle-baiters is to balance, as Clarkson did not, the disturbed with the publishable. As familiar as it is for some men to be triggered by female success into the sort of behaviours academics have summarised as “masculine over-compensation”, the Meghan-averse, like Greta Thunberg’s haters (as Clarkson shows, there is significant overlap), must keep in mind the need not to come across as worryingly invested or, to borrow Peterson’s jargon, crazy.

It helped that he was speaking on a channel where Meghan hysteria is pretty much normalised. But people noticed when he told viewers of Good Morning Britain: “It’s Meghan I’m after.”

That the would-be shit-pelter Clarkson is to keep his TV shows and newspaper columns should not, as much as it has thrilled his fans, be taken to mean less eminent contributors would survive. Careful misogynists might be better advised to study the way his rivals will, for instance, elevate otherwise standard exercises in vituperation with a dash of compassion, a mention of the cost of living crisis, learned regret for Meghan’s limitations. “In a strangely lobotomised way,” Gray says of his muse, “Meghan seems to have been influenced by the theories of Carl Jung.”

Alternatively, notice how seasoned Meghan antagonists offer deep constitutional feeling as a justification for their insults and disgusted faces: “Princess Pinocchio”, “your narcissistic delusionist (sic) wife”, “the ginge”, “poisonous rats”. The guild’s settled understanding, after the Netflix series, that the Sussexes represent, in Morgan’s words, “an existential threat to the British monarchy”, allowed for some peerless abuse from lead members of the fraternity, notably in the popular Meghan-hating double acts. The aim of this collaborative format being for participants to goad one another into ever more extravagant denunciations of the Sussexes. In particular the Wootton-Bower combo reliably appals, the host nodding while the writer insists, for example (confident that Wootton won’t mention Andrew Morton), that Diana was never, like her son, “duplicitous”. Wootton (confident that Bower won’t mention Panorama), agrees that Diana never did anything so vile as criticise the institution.

To pick a winner from this wealth of invective has occasionally felt like an impossible task. But the most precious is, surely, a piece by the distinguished Marxist turned Markleist, Brendan O’Neill. Not for pyrotechnics but for so brilliantly encapsulating Meghan’s often fascinating effect on the male mind. “Go away,” he begs the belle dame of Montecito, “Leave me alone.” He made the same request in 2020.

Dickheads of the Month: August 2023

As it seems that there are people who say or do things that are remarkably dickheaded yet somehow people try to make excuses for them or pretend it never happened, here is a collection of some of the dickheaded actions we saw in the month of August 2023 to make sure that they are never forgotten.         

Raging neanderthal Lee Anderson didn't so much say the quiet part out loud and bellow it above the echoing sound of his knuckles scraping against the ground when he literally said asylum seekers should “Fuck off back to France” if they think housing migrants on a floating deathtrap might happen to make the Tories look like a bunch of fascist, dogwhistling cunts 

...and yet the hard centre extremists did not seem concerned about Anderson’s rhetoric and tone, yet the second that Diane Abbott drew attention to dozens of migrants drowning in the Mediterranean by using Anderson's knuckledragging against him they were up in arms about her tone and rhetoric

...all the while Suella Braverman and Robert Jenrick were both wondering if they could very quietly fuck off to France when it emerged that, within 24 hours, not only had people with typhoid been allowed onto the Bibby Stockholm without any thought given to quarantine, but then there was a Legionnaires outbreak that saw those on board whisked away for treatment on dry land

...though Suella Braverman wasn't quite done with abysmal takes regarding the Bibby Stockholm when it then emerged the Fire Brigade Union had declared it to be a potential deathtrap, to which Braverman countered by saying the FBU were in cahoots with Labour

Just when you think Kemi Badenoch can’t be an even more ridiculous face of going full fash, she announces that she wants to appoint a Lavatory Tsar to eradicate gender neutral toilets in all buildings because this is the level of culture war bullshit we’re getting from the Tories at this point...unless you're disabled, as disabled toilets will continue to be gender neutral because Kemi Badenoch doesn't recognise disabled people as being real human beings so they’re exempt from this TERFy lunacy which continues to pretend that nobody has ever been on a plane or a train

Good on Fabian Marta for exposing the Sound of Freedom pyramid scheme in a way nobody would have expected, with him getting arrested for child felony kidnapping which makes the sugar daddy parties he runs looks even ickier.  Just a reminder, Marta is credited at the end of the film for funding getting the word out.  But remember, anyone who criticises the film is a paedophile...

This afternoon I heard some noise coming from round the back of my house. I took a look and there were some kids riding around on bikes and playing with a football in the doctors office car park behind my house. Ten years ago there were always kids in there after hours but since then I've found that kids just tend to stay indoors (Probably because of Jimmy Savile). I can't believe how agorophobic the kids of today seem to be because when I was a little bastard like these little bastards are now I was out all the time. During the summer I'd be out all the time with my mates but I can even remember going out when it was pissing with rain and even in the dead of winter. I can remember going out over the bridge near the enterprise park with my mate Lee when there was a foot of snow on the ground just because we didn't want to be in the house. I also remember that we went out in the snow on our scooters and not being able to grasp why the scooters weren't working...in the snow. Nowadays the only time I will leave the house is for work, food or gigs. There was a fire in the kitchen once and I tried to stick around untilthe fire engine got here because it was raining. When I first started this blog the intent was to challenge myself to go outside and have adventures so that I could write about it but I quickly realized that I hate going outside and that's why this blog has mainly been reviews of the YouTube videos I watch. There have been allegations made against GB News presenter Dan Wootton that he has been soliciting sexy pictures from his staff. Wootton has responded by saying that there is a conspiracy to bring down GB News and it's presenters, and I hope he's right. I wouldn't have such a problem with these glorified tabloid cunts getting jobs at news organisations if they weren't presented as news organisations. Reading out a story about something Meghan Markle and then spending twenty minutes calling her a liar and a drama queen isn't news that's gossip. News is where something happens and you tell your viewers exactly what happened and let them make up their own minds. If they called these organisations GB Gossip or Fox Gossip I don't think I'd care so much but the fact that they try to legitimize themselves as a source of truth rather than presenting what theyconsider to be the actual truth just bugs me.

Again, this skeleton argument is much shorter than that of Johnny’s legal team. The Sun again brings up Johnny’s drug use, which does not a wife beater make. I want to stress how The Sun sets up their case and how it comes from a place of pure hearsay and shaky af evidence. In the notes of The Sun’s skeleton argument Johnny is being referred to as C (for claimant).

The concept of Johnny ‘losing control of himself’ is interesting, considering Scum is recorded as using this as defence for hitting Johnny repeatedly. They’re using her words against him. They are so fixated on this idea of him as a drug fiend to paint him as a bad and wholly violent person. But having a dependency to drugs does not automatically make someone abuse their partner. And what about Scum’s use of drugs and alcohol? She was an active player in their relationship, but The Sun doesn’t want to cover any of that. It’s all about Johnny’s actions and how she’s an alleged victim of this.

Behold: Scum’s tiny list of witnesses, please note that every single one of these people is a close associate of hers.

This case is Johnny Depp vs The Sun, so why aren’t they bringing members of their staff? They are not using facts, their defence is based purely on emotions, weaponizing these to further destroy Johnny’s name. The Sun isn’t here to defend their staff or their practices. If they were, people like Dan Wootton (the writer of the ‘article’) would be there to defend his words. Or they would have someone else from the staff there to talk about their fact checking policy and what evidence they based the article on. Of course it would be impossible for them to talk about their fact checking policy because The Sun doesn’t care about being factually correct and this carries through to the defence team they built for this case.

This idea that they only have to prove one act of violence committed by Johnny is a maddening double-standard. What about all of the examples of Scum’s violence against him, there’s more than one and it can be proven with evidence.

But that doesn’t matter, because as the judge said in his ruling:  “ It is not even of significant relevance to whether Ms Heard assaulted Mr Depp “ - eg, the judge doesn’t care that Johnny is/was a victim of domestic violence, the judge never fucking cared.

Depp admits to head-butting his ex-wife (by accident)

Other than the fact that he emphasized it was by accident and in his attempt to avoid her physical attacks, Depp didn't have any reason to admit this particular incident than simply his honor. He wasn't forced to this admission by any such idea as "overwhelming evidence". Her photographic "evidense" of the incident is laughable, considering the damage she claims to have been inflicted on her is nowhere near visible. He could have simply let her dig her own grave with the way her account does not match the "proof" she has, but he has sworn to himself and the world to tell the truth.

there are texts from his assistant alleging he kicked Heard.

The same assistant who claimed that said texts are highly doctored and admitted under oath in the UK libel case that Heard was the abuser. First link also says the dates of the texts are not stated and in some cases they are dated even before Heard was with Depp.

There are texts from Depp to Paul Bettany saying he wanted to kill Heard and rape "her burnt corspe".

And I guess when someone cuts your freaking finger off, you go and tell your friends what a great person they are and how wonderfully they've been treating you.

There is a recording of Depp shouting at Heard for speaking in an "authoritative" way to him.

There is a recording of Heard where she admits she "did start a physical fight", that she can't promise she "won't get physical again" because she gets "so mad", where she cries that she didn't punch him but rather hit him, and where she taunts him to try and claim he is an abusse victim and see who believes him.

She was awarded a domestic violence restraining order in 2016.

She filed for a temporary restraining order and you can get those without due process if you claim you're in immediate danger: "If you are in immediate danger and need protection right away, you can ask for a Temporary (ex parte) Restraining Order, which will last for up to 15 days, or until you have your full-court hearing."

Also, please check this page that states California Rules of Court regarding DVROs.

Not to mention, she dismissed the TRO before the court hearing, meaning she didn't even try to prove her claims. She did that, "with prejudice, which means she cannot re-file the matter".

So, no, she wasn't "awarded" a DVRO, meaning a judge didn't in fact sufficiently examine her claim to "award" her anything. This is just how California law works.

In 2018 Depp sued The Sun newspaper for libel claim after it called him "a wife beater". He lost the case after the judge found 12 of 14 alleged incidents of Depp's abuse of Heard to be true.

In the words of Judge Penny Azcarate (check page 5, paragraph 4 of pdf doc) who presides over Virginia Fairfax trial, Depp was not given a fair and full trial in the UK trial, because Heard was not under the same discovery obligations, meaning they couldn't order her to turn over evidence or subpoena witnesses, etc. Heard was simply a witness there, not a defendant and the UK judge took her words as truth mainly based on the fact that Heard couldn't have had a financial motive to make the abuse claims, since she donated Depp's divorce money. It has now been proven that she actually didn't donate but rather "pledged" that money to charities, which calls for perjury.

Last but not least, Judge Justice Nicol shouldn't have presided over the UK trial in the first place since he is a biased party: his son works for the newspaper group that hires Dan Wootton, the guy that wrote The Sun article and whom Depp sued in the UK trial.

Dickheads of the Month: July 2023

As it seems that there are people who say or do things that are remarkably dickheaded yet somehow people try to make excuses for them or pretend it never happened, here is a collection of some of the dickheaded actions we saw in the month of July 2023 to make sure that they are never forgotten.  

The only conclusion to be drawn is that nobody at The Sun has ever heard of Onlyfans given they twisted a BBC presenter using Onlyfans into “CRIMINAL CHILD PORN” and just kept at that story for the best part of an entire week, only to back down to “HE MET SOMEBODY HE MET ONLINE DURING LOCKDOWN” as if The Sun's editor wasn't at the Lockdown-breaking parties that are part of the Partygate enquiry and “HE WAS A BIT MEAN TO SOMEONE ON GRINDR” when it emerged the source told them the story was bollocks being pushed by their mother and step-father and they should pull it - only to publish it anyway, having sat on the story since May

...and why were The Sun devoting an inordinate amount of time to a non-story to slag off the BBC?  Because proven liar Boris Johnson was refusing to hand his phone over to the Partygate enquiry in spite a High Court order telling him he had to do so and the deadline just so happened to be a couple of days after The Sun broke their non-story

...yet it never occurred to the BBC that, rather than self-flagellate by running the Murdoch copy at the top of all their news bulletins for days on end, maybe they should not talk about the dead cat and instead talk about the news

...while Jeremy Vine was actively telling the accused to reveal themselves solely because he didn't like people saying he was the accused.  That’s right, the same Jeremy Vine who regularly tweets videos to rile up his followers about cyclists was openly tweeting about how much he wanted to throw a colleague under the bus

...meanwhile, the MENSA chapter at GB News thought they were being really, really clever by showing photos of the accused during their programming, albeit their very recognisable headshot had an emoji covering its face

...and then it emerged that proven liar Boris Johnson and his violating a High Court order to submit evidence tot he partygate enquiry conveniently bumped off the front pages, but then it emerged he sat on the news of Carrie Symonds squeezing out another one of his bastard spawn for a week so he had two stories ready to go if he needed to chuck some dead cats on the table

...and then we had Jeremy Kyle in his Talk TV bully pulpit talking about the BBC’s morals.  Yes, the same Jeremy Kyle whose morning talkshow has a literal bodycount thinking he can lecture any form of life about morals

...but karma put the boot on the other foot really f’n fast, as within a couple of days TalkTV were oddly reluctant to say why Tom Newton Dunn had vanished from their output, while GB News were pretending that nobody could notice the obvious lack of Dan Wootton on Dan Wootton’s show after it emerged that Dan Wootton had a history of abusive and controlling behaviour (and that's just the tip of that particularly sordid iceberg) and yet, for some strange reason, neither channel thought that either of these cases was in the public interest

...but then GB News had the genius idea to let Dan Wootton back on the air, meaning that Dan Wootton sat there bemoaning “dark forces” which were trying to take GB news off the air - in spite the minor detail about the Byline Times investigation into his activities posing as “Martin Branning” began three months before GB News’ existence was announced

...and because Dan Wootton is a shameless grifter, his response to the second round of allegations of his pattern of behaviour going back a decade was to go on his GB News how - because GB News still let him on air, making their hysteria about the BBC accused even more ironic - and started panhandling for people to pay his legal fees due to these “leftist allegations” which, by this point, also involved News UK as they were named as paying £1m in settlements and handing out NDAs to make allegations about Wootton go away

Billionaire manchild Elon Musk demonstrated what a big business brain he has by introducing a new Twitter policy: people who aren't dumb enough to pay him to use a free platform are only allowed to see 600 posts per day, but those who are dumb enough get to see 6000, which is a very clever thing to do for a platform that requires views to get ad revenue - and all because him walling up the platform due to paranoia about ChatGPT only served to make the site DDOS itself .  Also, if somebody can remind me, what did he say about Twitter Verify being a “lord & peasants” system...?

…unsurprisingly, this led to billionaire manchild Elon Musk having one hell of a meltdown when Treads went live and picked up the sort of userbase that his gaggle of incels and crypto shills could never hope to manage.  So he tried to sue Threads for copying Twitter, somehow failing to comprehend that the people he sacked in mass layoffs are free to take their expertise anywhere they damn well like if there is a job offer, before resorting to posting “Zuck is a cuck” in the belief that did anything other than make it obvious just how pissed off he was

...and then it was suggested that billionaire manchild Elon Musk had been siphoning off Tesla funds to build himself a glass house, as per the Wall Street Journal, which is literally a plot point of Glass Onion

...but then billionaire manchild Elon Musk had a brilliant idea: chuck as much Twitter ad revenue as he could at a handful of his favourite fashy content creators in the belief that it made the platform look financially stable, and definitely wouldn't cause any issues like countless other content creators asking why they weren't getting the ad revenue and reluctantly having to be told that it's because Elon was throwing it at accounts like End Wokeness or beanie-wearing testicle Tim Pool to try and look successful and anybody else would have to sit there with nothing, which of course is guaranteed to never, ever blow up in Elon’s face the second people learned this and noted how much this looks like a pyramid scheme

...and then billionaire manchild Elon Musk had another one of his genius ideas, where he decided that Twitter would from now on be called X, because two decades of not just brand recognition but actually contributing to the English language is not as important as him using the name he wanted to use for PayPal before he got booted from the company for being a moron with terrible ideas

...and on the subject of billionaire manchild Elon Musk having terrible ideas, after rebranding Twitter to something nobody would ever call it, he decided to change the sign on the Twitter offices in San Francisco there and then - only to have the police show up and tell him to put it back up as he did not have a permit for all the equipment on the street because, as always, he didn't think something through

...and then billionaire manchild Elon Musk decided that a Twitter user posting literal kiddie porn was not grounds for a ban, instead their account was reinstated after the photos were removed even though Musk admitted the account had broken the law...which means, yup, go ahead and guess what the political stance of the kiddie porn tweeter happens to be

...but wait!  Billionaire manchild Elon Musk had yet another genius idea, this time erecting an abysmlally-constructed X on the roof of Twitter HQ - an X which lit up at night with strobing lights...strobing lights that the apartment building across the street really appreciated

To nobody's surprise, waffling gargoyle Nigel Farage was talking absolute bollocks when raging about his bank closing his account (but not naming that bank, as Coutt’s is hardly a bank for salt of the earth people) due to his political stance, and in fact closing it because he no longer had the £3m in savings to justify it - and then he flounced off when he was offered a NatWest account

...and then ultra-relatable nice guy Rishi Sunak waded in claiming that the waffling gargoyle was being denied “basic services” as if anybody could walk into Coutt’s and open an account

...and because waffling gargoyle Nigel Farage was determined to keep whining, not least because the British press had been publishing his version of events and not reality, he continued whining on Newsnight - only to have a complete meltdown when it was broken to him that Coutt’s actually could have closed his acocunt years ago but let him off the hook as he was paying his mortgage, leaving him ranting that all bank managers are “woke” and “remainers”

...which led to Rishi Sunak effectively changing how the entire UK banking system operates in order to placate Farage, although the letter he received from the head of NatWest made it abundantly clear what Coutt’s position was - and that position was accept the NatWest account you were offered when you fell below the terms of owning a Coutt’s account or fuck off

...and then it turned out that Paul Marshall had been shorting NatWest stock.  Yes, the Paul Marshall who owns GB News and employs Nigel Farage on that very same channel, who was using one of the channel’s hosts foghorning about his Coutts’s account for over a week to pocket millions thanks to the waflfing gargoyle spending over a week crying, aided and abetted by both the British media and the British government the whole time
