i think i only said this in tags but i genuinely think i cooked when i said that the hard launch DID happen — fifteen years ago, when neither of them knew just how many eyes would end up on them. people knew back then! a big reason why the phandom was so sure of their relationship is their tweets and formsprings and askfm questions! they were the most annoying couple you know in 2009!

when you compare this current era to 2009/2010 it starts to feel less like brand new territory and more like a return to an old way of interacting with the world at large. this is pure speculation on my part but i do think that, for d&p, a lot of the past year has been about accepting and loving not only the past 15 years and the audience/creator dynamic that developped for better and for worse, but also accepting that there is a REASON people knew about them, and that reason is that they told us. I keep going back to it but: did you miss the memo? we know you know. did you miss the memo?

the more i think about it the more "they act like they did hard launch without having actually done it" feels both more and less accurate. they ARE acting like they hard launched. because they're more than aware that, for all intents and purposes, they did. over a decade ago. it was the most fun they ever had!

One thing I don't think we appreciate enough about dnp is that they never waste your time. Their videos are a tight 15-30 minutes unless there was absolutely nothing they could cut. Other youtubers I'll start some video and be like this is mildly interesting. Why is it an hour and a half long

Finally got to see TIT tonight after like three heart attacks while trying to drive up to Durham but that was mostly my anxiety mixed with accidently hitting rush hour.

But omg the song shocked me and like exceeded my expectations and now I just want to listen to it again.

thinking about how in all their tour promos before they were stood like Dan Phil like separate but together but clearly trying to be Dan And Phil and now they’re stood pressed against each other and they are danandphil again suddenly and they can be themselves and they can get up close and I’m um. I’m not sure I’ll make it through the actual phannouncement I won’t lie. the promo?? the trailer?? with them pressed so close together on the promo photo I think I’ll lose my mind seeing them talking about it.
