NCIS: Damon Pt. 2

It's been two weeks since he's been in the hospital. He still couldn't fathom that he wasn't in the Navy anymore, and it hurt a part of him that couldn't be healed.

But what hurt most was that he may have lost you again.

Damon's been thinking a lot since he saw you. He wished he wouldn't have broken things off with you in the first place. He loved you with every bone in his body, but he was too scared to bring you into his messy life. But the damage was already done, and he regretted not being there for you and his baby girl.

So when Gibbs came to his hospital room and gave him a medal and a slip of paper that had your new address, he took it as a sign to make things right.

With the spare change he had, he took a cab and arrived at your doorstep in a small apartment. Damon took a breath and hesitated to knock at your door. And he stood there for what felt like a millennium until he heard his name.

"Damon?"

He turned around and saw you holding bags of groceries, looking beautiful as ever. He saw how your bump grew bigger the last time he saw you, and how tensed you must have been standing there.

"Could I help you with your bags?" Damon asked.

He could have said something along the lines of "I still love you" or "I'll be a better man and father for your baby" but he needed to earn your respect first.

"Y-yeah." You said with a bit of hesitance.

He came down the steps to help you as you unlocked the door. Inside, he found more spacious than it was outside. You had a big living room that connected to your kitchen and had a great view of the city. He placed the groceries on your counter as started to place the food in the fridge.

"You um - have a nice place." Damon said.

"Thanks, I saw it in an ad and thought moving closer to my job was the best decision. I got promoted and my hours changed."

"Congrats! That's... amazing." He said, taking a seat by the counter.

You paused where you stood in front of your fridge and turned toward him.

"I heard what happened about your discharged, I'm sorry." You said.

"No, don't be. This- this was my fault. All I wanted was to serve and I lost sight of what mattered most."

You nod in a small manner, using your hands to lean by the marbled countertop.

"What matters the most to you now?"

He hesitates and he looks up to you with teary eyes.

"Trying to be a better man for you."

Your heart began to ache. One part of you just wanted to envelop your arms around him like before, wanting to take back the words you said to him the last time you saw each other. But the other was hurting too much, always feeling you were second place in his life.

You walked ever so carefully to him, placing one hand on top of his.

"I know you're trying to make amends Damon, but I don't think we can be what we were, just not yet."

He nodded his head, understanding that the way you two left things had left scars that hadn't healed. But you held his hand firmer to break out from his thoughts.

"But I do want you here, in our baby's life. She has the right to know who her father is, if you're ready."

A flicker of hope shone through his eyes and gave you a smile that he hadn't seen in a while.

"I'll be here any time you need me."

Since then, Damon has chosen to live near a motel. He wanted to give you space but still guaranteed to be by your side through the end of your pregnancy. He helped you buy some clothes for the baby as well as help you with the nursery. It was your favorite day to be with him as you started to fool around with the paint, purposely painting each other's clothes.

You haven't laughed in a while, and it felt like your heart was being repaired, piece by piece. You offered Damon to stay the night and he looked a bit reluctant, but he knew you wouldn't take no for an answer. So, he slept on the couch that night.

Since your pregnancy, you haven't had a peaceful sleep. So when you heard noises from the living room, you had to investigate.

Your feet slowly padded your hallway and you walked through the dark room.

"Damon?"

You saw him tossing and turning, murmuring. Slowly, you go up to him, softly shaking his shoulder.

"Damon, wake up."

Suddenly, he abruptly wakes up with a cold sweat. He looks at you with wild eyes, like the ones you saw when he was in the interrogation room.

You reach out to touch his face, but he flinches away, his jaw clenched. But you stood your ground.

"Look at me. Please." You begged, whispering.

He hesitantly looks up, fearful. His body screamed at him to run away, to not hurt you, but his heart stood its place, knowing he would never do something like that.

All you could see was his eyes softening, then became glossy as a tear fell.

He began to sob, and he landed his face in your chest. It caught you by surprise, but you held him closely to you, trying to calm him down by combing his hair that was growing and kissed his forehead. You two both stayed in that position until you brought him to your room where you both sat at the end of your bed as you listened to him attentively.

He talked about saving his friends lives in the line of duty, yet feeling like a failure to himself and his country.

"I couldn't recognize myself, I thought I became this monster. All my life, I was too weak to do anything. I almost didn't qualify to serve due to my health records. That's why I started taking enhancements."

Your mouth rounded in a small 'o' as you never new that part of his life before the army.

You intertwine your hands in his and look at his eyes that faced so many wars.

"You fought so much in your life, Damon. I know it seems like you given up but you didn't. You saved so many lives. I know I can't give you much-"

Damon whips his head towards you, hurt.

"What do you mean? You given me the world." His hand softly goes to your growing belly and looks at you with those loving eyes that you once remembered.

You held on to each other, feeling his heart beat slow down as you two laid back in your mattress where you two fell asleep.

When you woke up, you see him snuggled by your belly as you comb his hair that grew much longer through your fingers. He smiles then flutters his eyes open, adoring you again with his gaze.

Both of you know the risks of dating each other again, as no one wanted to break the other's heart.

But you had to at least try. Cause Damon would be damned if he repeated the same mistakes again.

He could promise you that, but for the time being... He was happy where he was now, entangled in bed with the woman who had his whole heart and more.

lazy writing to even timejump but i’m happy we at least see kelly’s immediate reaction. sad we don’t get to see the firehouses reaction or stella’s reaction. so it looks like cruz does know they’re siblings he just doesn’t fully trust him. it makes sense that stella’s needs to think about their work relationship. i don’t think it has anything to do with if they should or shouldn’t work together moreso just on what stella can’t or can’t say to kelly in regards to damon. this part doesn’t surprise me much but im excited to see how stella handles it.

the fact that the baby talk gets addressed quickly does not give me hope. the “baby talk” will either be kelly taking back his decision to start a family because of the damon stuff. or it’ll be stella saying she just needs to to figure truck 81 out first before she’s ready to start a family (which isn’t the worst think). but after that we won’t get anything about starting a family.

how does moving up the ladder affect herrmann and mouch’s friendship? that doesn’t even make sense. they aren’t even going for the same ranks.

it’s a win for me that ritters gets a big storyline this season

CBS has ordered full seasons of Poppa’s House and NCIS: Origins. Each show has received a Back 5 pickup in addition to the original 13-episode order to go up to 18 episodes.

With this latest news, CBS has picked up all four new scripted series, including the Kathy Bates-led Matlock and the “Big Bang” Universe prequel Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage.

According to VideoAmp and internal streaming data, with seven days of multiplatform viewing, NCIS: Origins premiere was been seen by 9.0 million viewers and Poppa’s House by 6.41 million viewers.

“NCIS: Origins has added a brilliant new dimension to the NCIS franchise with an origin story of Leroy Jethro Gibbs and a cinematic ’90s experience that features distinct characters, stories and crime solving. Poppa’s House excels with the dynamic father/son chemistry between Damon [Wayans] and Damon Jr. and their family-inspired stories that bring this comedy to life. These shows fit seamlessly into our Monday night lineup while resonating with viewers on CBS and Paramount+,” Amy Reisenbach, president of CBS Entertainment, shared in a statement.

In Poppa’s House, Wayans and Wayans Jr. star as father and son opposite Essence Atkins and Tetona Jackson. Wayans Sr. portrays the legendary talk radio host and happily divorced “Poppa,” who has his point of view challenged at work when a new female co-host is hired. His home life is no better, as the patriarch of the family finds himself still parenting his adult son, a brilliant dreamer who is trying to pursue his passion while being a responsible father and husband.

Dean Lorey, Damon Wayans and Damon Wayans Jr. executive produce for CBS Studios. The series airs Monday nights from 8:30 to 9:00 PM, ET/PT.

NCIS: Origins follows a young Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Austin Stowell) in 1991, years prior to the events of NCIS, and is narrated by Mark Harmon. In the series, Gibbs starts his career as a newly minted special agent at the fledgling NCIS Camp Pendleton office, where he forges his place on a gritty, ragtag team led by Mike Franks (Kyle Schmid).

Mariel Molino, Tyla Abercrumbie, Diany Rodriguez and Caleb Foote also star.

David J. North, Gina Lucita Monreal, Mark Harmon and Sean Harmon executive produce for CBS Studios. The series airs on Monday nights from 10-11 PM ET/PT.

CBS ANNOUNCES WINTER PREMIERE DATES FOR 2024-25 PRIMETIME SEASON

“Hollywood Squares” Starring Drew Barrymore and Hosted by Nate Burleson Debuts on Thursday, Jan. 9

CBS today announced winter premiere dates for new and returning series on the 2024-25 primetime schedule, including new series HOLLYWOOD SQUARES and WATSON, fan favorites SURVIVOR and THE AMAZING RACE, plus the return of THE PRICE IS RIGHT AT NIGHT, RAID THE CAGE and NCIS: SYDNEY.

THE PRICE IS RIGHT AT NIGHT (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT), hosted by Drew Carey, and RAID THE CAGE, hosted by Damon Wayans Jr. and Jeannie Mai (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT), return to launch a night of games on Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2025.

HOLLYWOOD SQUARES, starring award-winning actress and talk show host Drew Barrymore as the center square, and hosted by Nate Burleson (co-host of CBS MORNINGS and analyst for THE NFL TODAY), premieres Thursday, Jan. 9, 2025, (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT). The classic game show features two contestants playing tic-tac-toe with celebrity guests to win money and prizes. Celebrity guests will be announced at a later date. HOLLYWOOD SQUARES moves to Wednesdays (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) as part of CBS Game Night, beginning on Jan. 29 as original Thursday episodes of CBS scripted series return to the lineup beginning Jan. 30. New episodes of CBS’ scripted series return to the schedule the last week in January, beginning Sunday, Jan. 26, 2025 with the WATSON series premiere following the AFC Championship Game. At this point I think Season 5 of Magnum PI is officially my favourite season of the show cause it's just so great to finally see Thomas and Juliet as a couple. It's such a treat to see them form a strong romantic relationship together with a very bright future ahead. I couldn't be happier for them.

For most TV couples, you spend so long rooting and waiting for them to get together during the whole "Will They? Won't They?" game and the waiting can be torture at times, but it's all worth in the end to finally see them end up together. For the most part by the time the power couple are finally official, the show ends and thus the relationship afterwards is never shown.

I don't mind and accept that's the situation most of the time, but on the rare occasions when there's another season and we get see them as an actual couple, it's even better and brings more joy than I could ever express or imagine. I don't think I could ever find the right words to describe just how EXTREMELY happy I am to see Thomas and Juliet together as a couple. It's a true honor and pleasure after all this time.

And it's not just them, but a few special others I've felt in the past. These are the couples I'm most grateful to have gotten to see their full love stories from beginning to end. From the day they met to the day they achieved their happy ending.

How SAG-AFTRA strike will create global havoc for Hollywood - Los Angeles Times

SAG-AFTRA members picket outside Netflix in Hollywood on Friday, the first day of the union’s strike — and first such walkout in 43 years.

Hollywood top executives figured they could ride out a skirmish with screenwriters reeling from technology’s changes to the industry.

But few executives were prepared for — or wanted — a strike by the industry’s largest union, SAG-AFTRA, which represents 160,000 actors and other performers.

After talks over a new contract collapsed last week, throngs of performers joined writers on picket lines — plunging Los Angeles’ signature industry into chaos and further complicating what some fear could become a long and devastating strike.

Movie shoots have ground to a halt. A-list stars have bailed on film and TV marketing campaigns. Matt Damon, Cillian Murphy and other actors walked outduring Thursday night’s London premiere of Universal Pictures’ highly anticipated “Oppenheimer.”

The upcoming fall TV season could sputter, devoid of new scripted episodes of “Abbott Elementary,” “Law & Order: SVU” and “NCIS.” And media companies that were already struggling to compete in the streaming era could see their fortunes further sink.

“There’s going to be a lot of blood in the water,�� Jonathan Taplin, director emeritus of USC’s Annenberg Innovation Lab, said. “This is not going to end well.”

Simultaneous strikes by the Writers Guild of America and the Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists — the first joint work stoppage since Ronald Reagan led SAG in 1960 — couldn’t come at a worse time for traditional entertainment companies.

Their businesses haven’t fully recovered from pandemic shutdowns. Walt Disney Co., Paramount Global and Warner Bros. Discovery have been grappling with heavy debt loads due to mergers, and also from ordering dozens of shows to ramp up their streaming services. All the while, linear broadcast and cable TV networks have witnessed a precipitous slide in viewers to Netflix and other streaming services.

“The economics of the industry are very challenging — the worst that we’ve ever seen,” veteran media analyst Michael Nathanson said. “A prolonged strike will only make things worse.”

Amid a nationwide rise in labor activity, Hollywood’s discord has taken on the trappings of a larger cultural clash, ostensibly pitting everyday workers against top wage earners, America’s 1%.

On picket lines and social media sites, richly compensated industry leaders, including Disney Chief Executive Bob Iger and Warner Bros. Discovery Chief David Zaslav, are being portrayed as cartoon villains.

Outside Disney’s Burbank headquarters on Friday, a striking worker hoisted a sign that depicted Iger’s face superimposed on a hand-drawn Marie Antoinette figure, holding a raspberry-colored confection under the words: “How about sharing some of that cake, Bob?”

SAG-AFTRA President Fran Drescher, best known for starring in the 1990s sitcom “The Nanny,” has been celebrated among striking workers after her rousing speech Thursday to announce her board’s unanimous vote to call a strike against the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers, the organization that negotiates on behalf of the media companies.

Actors are seeking higher minimum pay, increased residuals and revenue sharing with the streamers. They’ve demanded protections against the use of artificial intelligence to simulate background actors, known as “extras.” Writers have made similar demands, saying since the rise of streaming, midlevel writers have struggled to make a living wage.

“The entire business model has been changed because of streaming, digital and AI,” Drescher said. “At some point, you have to say ‘no, we’re not going to take this anymore.’”

The AMPTP defended the offer the group had made to actors, including what it said was the highest percentage increase in pay minimums in 35 years and a “groundbreaking” proposal for AI protections.

“A strike is certainly not the outcome we hoped for as studios cannot operate without the performers that bring our TV shows and films to life,” the AMPTP said. “The union has regrettably chosen a path that will lead to financial hardship for countless thousands of people who depend on the industry.”

It’s not clear when bargaining sessions with the actors might resume. No talks are currently scheduled.

AMPTP negotiators haven’t met with the WGA in more than two months.

Taplin, a former film producer who wrote a book about artificial intelligence, “The End of Reality: How Four Billionaires Are Selling Out Our Future,” said the threat posed by technology “for all artistic production is gigantic.”

“People worry, in the abstract, about AI replacing workers but here it is, it’s actually happening,” Taplin said. “They don’t want to have to pay for extras anymore, so they could have a scene that has 5,000 AI extras in the background.”

Technology also has upset Hollywood’s hierarchy. AMPTP’s shifting makeup now includes tech giants Amazon, Apple and Netflix — companies that don’t have a tradition of collective bargaining.

Veteran executives said the group, even in good economic times, formed an uneasy alliance. Member companies, including Disney, Comcast’s NBCUniversal and Netflix, are more accustomed to battling one another for viewers and revenue.

And some in Hollywood have wondered whether the AMPTP’s shifting makeup will stand in the way of a deal.

When reached for comment, AMPTP spokesperson Scott Rowe said: “The companies remain completely united.”

But unlike past strikes, including the 100-day standoff between writers and studios in 2007-2008, no leading executive has emerged to help broker labor peace.

Wall Street already has placed its bets, punishing the stocks of legacy media companies.

Since the writers’ strike began in May, Disney’s stock has fallen 13% to $88.62 a share. Paramount has dropped more than 30% to $15.96 a share, and Warner Bros. Discovery has declined nearly 7% to $12.40.

Shares of WBD, which owns HBO and CNN, closed at $12.40 on Friday, down nearly 50% since April 2022 when the smaller Discovery absorbed WarnerMedia — a deal that saddled the company with more than $45 billion in debt.

In contrast, Netflix shares have soared 36% to $441.91 since the writers’ strike began.

Netflix now boasts a higher market value — nearly $200 billion — than Disney, the world’s largest entertainment company, which is valued at $162 billion.

“Investors are saying Netflix can weather the storm,” Nathanson said. “They make a lot of shows, and stack them up because of the binge-viewing model. They also have a lot more international production that they can import.”

Disney’s boss, Iger, appeared on business channel CNBC last week from the annual media mogul conference in picturesque Sun Valley, Idaho. The executive, who returned to the company in November, acknowledged that he underestimated the challenges confronting his company — particularly in the traditional television business.

“The disruptive forces that have been preying on that business for a while are greater than I thought,” Iger said. “We have to come to grips with that.”

Disney already has slashed nearly 7,000 jobs this year in an effort to save $5.5 billion. And in a nod to the changing winds, Iger suggested Disney might consider shedding linear channels, perhaps even the ABC television network.

The company, he said, also is open to taking on a strategic partner for ESPN.

Disney’s sports empire remains lucrative, but it is plagued by the trend of consumers ditching cable and satellite subscriptions in favor of streaming apps. At some point, the company plans to offer ESPN directly to consumers — but Iger didn’t say when.

“We’re seeing accelerated cord cutting as people are dropping the cable bundle,” Nathanson said. “And advertisers are no longer supporting the networks as they have in the past.”

Broadcast networks — ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox — are expected to be hit hard by the twin strikes because they are most reliant on fresh programming. Late-night comedians, including ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel and CBS’ Stephen Colbert, have been off the air since early May, when the writers’ strike began.

If the two walkouts are not resolved before October, there probably won’t be any new scripted shows produced until next year, according to company insiders.

And that could be devastating at a time when traditional networks are struggling to hold on to viewers.

“The networks have sports and news but a lot of their constituents are there to watch the prime-time shows,” said Neil Begley, a senior vice president for Moody’s Investors Service. “Among those viewers, there’s an expectation that fall is the start of the new season. The networks are going to have to reach far and wide for content to fill those hours.”

Compounding matters, this year’s annual TV advertising market, when TV networks sell their commercial time for the new season, has been sluggish.

“Advertisers don’t know what type of programming they’re going to get with these strikes,” Begley said. “They’re saying: Why commit?”

Privately, company executives say their businesses won’t feel much financial pain for several months. Without widespread production, costs will be lower, which translates into higher profits — at least in the short term.

Studios also are expected to begin canceling TV writers’ overall deals to find more savings.

But eventually, networks and streamers will run low on original episodes and media executives will be motivated to reach a detente.

“You can’t get by without actors,” Begley said. “The actors’ strike gave more leverage to the writers.”

Analysts and veteran executives said the market is straining to support all of the streaming services — and shows to stock them — launched in the last five or so years. Hollywood, they say, could look dramatically different after the strikes get resolved.

“Consolidation is going to happen,” predicted Nathanson. “Perhaps the strike will accelerate those moves as the weakness sets in. Some of these players are going to get weaker.”

NCIS: Damon Pt. 1

So I've been watching NCIS since summer and fell in love with a lot of supporting characters. Here are some blurbs I had in mind. <3

Damon Werth:

"Damon needs you, more than ever." Gibbs said as you stared at Damon through the one-way mirror glass.

"Special Agent Gibbs, I'm not sure. We broke up before his deployment." You said, tugging your cardigan closer.

You and Damon were high school sweethearts. He had dreams of serving his country, but his immune system got in the way of being medically cleared. In just an instant, he became one of the strongest and fastest soldiers in his unit. You couldn't believe how he progressed through training, but you kept it to yourself.

Things didn't go as planned the month before he deployed. He decided to break things off between both of you. You didn't understand, since both of you were thinking of marriage. Even if it wasn't easy, you had to move on for the sake of your unborn baby.

You found out just days after the breakup and Damon was already deployed. Up till now, two injured NCIS agents came to your doorstep asking you about your ex and that's how you ended up here.

"I never seen him so afraid." You whispered. Damon could only be described as a deranged beast, frightened of his surroundings as he tried to break free from his restraints.

"Somebody drugged him with enhancements. We're trying to figure out who did it." Gibbs said.

Your hand landed on your growing bump, feeling protective.

"You're the only one who can get through to him. You were listed as his emergency contact for a reason. If anything happens, I'll be outside the door in an instant." Gibbs reassured you.

You look at the agent and back to Damon, determined to get the love of your life back.

"I'm ready."

You were escorted out then arrived at the door where Damon was in. Your heart felt like it was going to leap out of your chest, but you nodded to Special Agent Gibbs to open the door.

Once he did, Damon's head whipped towards who came in and saw you. He didn't say anything, but his eyes explained it all. Gibbs closed the door gently behind you and you slowly made your way to sit down.

You tried to formulate words, but they couldn't come out.

"Please tell me you're real."

"Wh-What?" You replied.

Damon gulped as he felt his throat dry, but he continued.

"Tell me that you're actually here, and I'm not hallucinating."

You thought for a moment, and you looked up at him.

"When you finally got enlisted, you wanted to take me out to this fancy restaurant. After that, we strolled through the park and you bought me a yellow rose from a stand. Then you said..."

"... I'd buy all the flowers in the world if it meant to see you smile again."

Damon's voice became soft and saw how his muscles relaxed. You raised your hand on the table, trying to reach him but he flinched back.

"I don't - I don't want to hurt you." He said, his voice straining.

"You won’t, Damon."

He scoffs as he sits back.

"Really? Who do you think hurt those agents that brought you in?"

You pause, but you held your ground.

"You were scared, you didn't know what was real and what wasn't."

"Don't make excuses for me, I hurt people. It's not safe for you or your baby to be here."

You could feel your eyes water as he also looked like he was close to tears.

"Damon, it's our baby."

He was speechless. All this time, he thought you already found someone and made a family together.

"How long have you've -"

"6 months. I found out after we broke up."

And that's when his shoulders began to violently shake. He began to sob and tried to face away from you, ashamed.

"I should have- stayed. I should have never - left you." He hiccuped, as his eyes began to grow red.

You got up from your seat and stood by Damon, enveloping your arms around him. He sank into your embrace as his sobs began to grow louder. You silently cried as well, as you held him closer, missing his touch.

"Dammy, they're trying to help you. You need to tell them who did this to you."

"I-I can't. It's complicated."

You let go, feeling a burning sensation in your chest.

"Damon, that agent told me you could overdose! You would rather die than live long enough to see your daughter born?"

His eyes soften as more tears threaten to pour down his face.

A daughter... he always wanted a girl.

He wanted to tell you the truth so bad. But if he admitted that he'd administered the enhancements to himself, he would have been dishonorably discharged. He fought so hard for his future in the Marines, that's all he ever wanted to be: a soldier.

But all he could do was look up at you with saddened eyes.

"I'm sorry." Damon whispered.

You stood still as your tears felt like they were burning.

"You're not the man I fell in love with, Damon. I hope this is worth it." You said, storming off as you opened the door. He called your name, then began to yell after the door was closed. He tried breaking off his restraints but there was no use. You close your eyes as you lean behind the door, sobbing. Agent Gibbs was there in front of you with sympathetic eyes and you hugged him, needing some comfort that you hadn't had in a long time.

Damon could hear your sobs outside the door, only wanting to hold you in his arms and place a loving hand on your bump where your little girl was safe.

But he knew he had to keep this secret to protect you two.

Even if it would kill him.

gonna use the wave of writer appreciation on this hellsite to remind the new wave of cm fans that back in the ~day of old cm, there were a few gay writers on staff of cm and even more seemingly straight ones who also wanted to write gay lead characters into cm and had support from the cast, going as far as to write it into episodes, only for cbs to make them take this stuff out because they wouldn’t allow it in the show.

They also told them all that they were Not Allowed To Mention This otherwise you will face Consequences to anybody who may talk about this. I know this because, years ago when after/ellen Wasn’t a bigoted te/rf hell, Kirsten did an interview where she let that slip (both the gay thing And that they’d been ordered to not mention it) anyway.

They were also gagged on talking about casting changes past the debacle where the NETWORK fired paget and AJ for creative reasons. It was not financial in motive. They are lying when they say so. They were fired for ‘creative reasons’ that led to the showrunner resigning from the show in protest. Mass fan protest and an actual massive fan movement are why they returned. And also, if they wanted to save money by axing a cast member, at the time from salary numbers reported they’d have saved more money axing one man than two women, which is a whole Other issue (that almost got the show cancelled once bc Cook and Vangsness refused to renew contracts again unless they BOTH got raises. The pay disparity between the women and the men was nauseating btw. This was the same year De Pablo left ncis bc she couldn’t achive the same thing without any support from other cast members and wouldn’t be treated like shit).

But yes, they were gagged from talking about cast changes bc if i recall correctly it was Harry Bring that let slip on twitter when people asked him about Tripplehorn leaving suddenly, that they were all under an NDI about it. All cbs learnt from the previous sexist crap was that if viewers found out about it they’d be loud and angry, so they just made sure viewers didn’t know about it.

Basically, while there is a Lot of utter awful stuff the cm writers pulled, blaming them for it being the straightest show on TV (till the reboot) is Exactly what the shitbags at cbs want. But you’re blaming actual gay people who wanted to write that into the show but were barred from doing so a bunch of times when you @ the writers for this. Blaming the writers for cast turnover is Also inaccurate. The showrunner literally quit in protest of misogynistic network meddling. I think the only women on the show who left of their own accord were Glaudini (life work balance bad apparently) and Hewitt (who was very visibly pregnant and left for this reason) and there were a hell of a lot more ladies than just them. Not to mention them firing Damon Gupton (walker) between seasons on a cliff-hanger ending so the writers had no choice but to kill his character.

There are many choices on cm that leave me scowling at the writers (and i know to scowl at them bc they admitted they were the masterminds behind these ideas) but a Massive amount of bs on criminal minds was Entirely cbs meddling with what the writers wanted to do.
