| BIKING | Directed by @asksaru Music by @krsraga DP: @brandonlattman With the days of creating visual effects in-camera slowly fading away, this music video shoot was a refresher. To achieve this shot we mounted three mirrors to the camera, around the lens, where our matte box would have been. We also created a few other effects such as a “medium-format POV” where we mounted a functioning medium format camera to our camera rig looking straight into its viewfinder. This is the kind of creativity that fuels me. I’m glad to have been a part of this project and appreciative of Saru’s willingness to play it a little old school and risky. | 8 | Written and directed by Gabriele Fabbro Another film that I DP’d and a timely post considering that @gfpicturespage and @8shortfilm are currently in Italy at @labiennale for a screening. This is definitely the peak of 8’s film festival run and I’m very proud to have been a part of this team and this story. The greatest challenge of this shoot was attempting to give equal care to the 100+ shots in this short film, especially its quick-cut montage sequences. I think it’s safe to say that the 8 team rose to the occasion, and things are looking very bright for Gabe. Here’s to the next one Gaber! This is a screenshot from Methadone, which I DP’d over a year ago, and it was challenging to say the least. Shivin is one of the most ambitious of my friends and his film follows in that manner.
