Good thing you got to see Endgame in the stream at least! I'd seen it performed once before but did not like it as much as when Rob and Frankie did it. I could definitely see Rob's passion for Beckett in his performance. Loved the two actors who played the parents as well, their names escape me right now. Very offputting, the whole thing, they all did a great job getting the atmosphere just right.

I bumped into some articles about it ahead of time, hunting down juicy quotes and beautiful pictures, as you do. lol Rob always made sure to say something along these lines: ‘You have to understand something about Beckett is that they’re comedies. He’s wonderfully funny. If you go in thinking it’s going to be a deadly serious and difficult play, that’s what you’ll get out of it. But if you realize that it’s comedy and satire, it’s a whole different experience,’ blah blah blah that was totally me just massacring his words.

He said to delight in the darkness, the bleakness of it.

But damn, I still think about him in that horrible, twisted position having to go up and down the ladder over and over again.

the difference between rumplestiltskin and literally all the other dark ones is so funny to me. like. rumplestiltskin as the dark one is this campy, flamboyant, giggling, mischievous imp of a guy, who traded the dark one's typical ominous dark robe for skin-tight leather, thigh high boots, and a magical blowout. was he like that before he became the dark one? no. not at all. were any of the previous dark ones like that? also no. were either of the two dark ones after him like that? again, no. there's no actual real given reason for why he behaves like that. he just does. and i adore him for it
