3 Steps Back (meme)
Marinette stood awkwardly as she was confessed to, yet again. Before she could say anything, she saw someone rushing towards them in the distance.
"Um, can you take three giant steps backwards?" Marinette asked.
Confused, the person stepped back. In the blink of an eye, they found a dagger tip at their throat.
'What the fuck?'
They looked up to see Marinette with her arms around some guy's waist.
"Who is this guy?" he questioned, out loud.
"This is my very overprotective boyfriend." Marinette smiled.
The guy paled and took another step backwards.
"Got it." he announced and rushed away.
Marinette sighed as she let go of Damian.
"Habibiti, I could have handled him." he declared.
Marinette leaned up and kissed him.
"I don't want to call your dad and tell him your in jail for maiming." she replied.
Damian rolled his eyes, putting the blade away, "He can afford to bail me out."
"Like all the other times?" she questioned with a smile, "You're cute when you're jealous."
"People should stop asking you out." Damian huffed.
"I have an idea." Marinette announced, "You have to wait until tomorrow. I don't think you have anything to worry about after that."
Marinette walked into school with a shirt that read: Property of Damian Wayne. Damian blushed at the familiar writing style. He had seen it on cheerleaders at forced functions. She had chosen a dark blue shirt and yellow colors. It was reminiscent of when he went to Gotham Academy.
"Is this helpful, Dami?" Marinette asked.
The people around them stopped what they were doing to stare at the pair. Damian said nothing, but grabbed her hand and pulled her further into the school. Marinette smiled at his approval. Damian tried not to flush red at the warning sign on his girlfriend. It was a giant keep away sign.
'Why hadn't I thought about this sooner?'
Lila couldn't believe what she was seeing. Marinette was wearing a shirt that flaunted Damian Wayne as hers. There was no way that was going to happen; not while she was around.
"Damian, " Lila voiced in fake concern, "did you lose a bet?"
Damian merely glared at her. Marinette smiled from her place on his arm.
"It's okay, Habibi." Mari spoke, "It must be strange for her to see people like this; so happy."
Damian smirked and looked down at her. Lila couldn't believe that not only had Marinette talked back to her, but Damian Wayne had smiled at the goody-goody's snarky comment.
"You're one to talk." Lila lashed out, "Everyone hates you! Who wouldn't hate a bully?"
"You mean the pathetic rumors you spread around?" Marinette asked, "Only that one class believes you. The rest of the school laughs when your back is turned."
Lila heard people giggle behind them. It wasn't just one person, either. It was multiple people.
"Marinette is my property." Damian declared, "The shirt doesn't lie. She's my girlfriend and has been for two years."
Marinette smiled, "Damian got a little possessive when someone tried to ask me out again, yesterday."
"That is twenty people, who have asked you out in the past five months." Damian hissed.
"People?" Lila questioned.
Marinette blushed, "I've had girls confess to me, too. I don't mind wearing the shirt. Hopefully, after today, I won't have to stop Damian from attempting murder."
Damian and Marinette walked passed Lila. Lila moved to the sidelines as other people started to speak up.
"Damn, Damian made sure to scoop up the 'Queen of the School'."
"The Queen?"
"Do you expect anything else from a Wayne?"
Lila walked to class in silence. As she got closer, she could hear new whispers.
"Did you see Marinette?"
"Yeah, she was all over the Wayne kid!"
"I heard they're dating!"
"No they're not!"
"Everyone is talking about it! They have been toegther for two years!"
"Damian was the one to announce it."
"I never knew that Marinette was so popular."
"I feel bad for all those people she turned down, but she was already taken."
"What about her bullying Lila? I thought we all agreed it was because she was jealous of Lila getting close to Adrien."
"I don't think that's the case and it sounds like it hasn't been for awhile."
Lila decided to wait until after the bell to walk into class. From her spot, she noticed Damian walk Marinette to class.
"I will see you at lunch." Damian spoke.
She hated seeing Marinette smile.
"Habibiti, I must ask you one question." he spoke.
"What is it?" she asked.
"What am I to do if your shirt fails and people still try to claim what is mine?" he questioned.
Marinette stayed silent for a moment.
"I can wear this at least every two weeks, but I'm sure everyone will know by the end of the day." she began.
"And if they persist?" he growled.
"I'm sure they'll learn how possessive you are over the coming days." Marinette declared, "I think Bruce will be even more surprised he's not bailing you out of jail and paying for hospital fees."
"Father can afford it." Damian sighed.
Damian leaned down and kissed her.
"My statement stands; I will see you at lunch." he announced, before leaving.
Lila stayed flushed against the lockers, as Damian walked passed her. She sighed and sank to the floor.
'Jail? He hurt people for her? His father just bailed him out?'
She suddenly spotted a pair of shoes by her own feet. Lila quickly looked up and saw Damian Wayne glaring at her.
"I suggest you leave Marinette alone from now on." Damian declared, "My mother taught me that woman are manipulative. She taught me how to fight. I don't care if you are a girl; if you continue to spread rumors and I find out you started it, you will be injured beyond repair."
"You would be expelled." Lila spoke, softly, "You can't let Marinette manipulate you like this."
Damian quickly punched the locker next to her head. Lila slowly looked at his hand and saw the locker had been dented around his hand. He slowly pulled away, revealing the imprint of his hand.
He leaned in close and whispered, "Now imagine that being your jaw. You would never speak again. No more lies. I didn't move to Paris to be with Marinette; Father sent me because I was too violent away from her. It wouldn't be my first or last time breaking bones."
Damian turned and walked away. Lila snapped her eyes away from the locker as the bell rang. She quickly ran to class. As she sat down, she decided she was never going to ever say Marinette's name again.

It's not love, it's obsession
And here we are with another salt fic request by A29Z10
Hope you all enjoy this one!!
Adrien had enough of Ladybug rejecting him all the time. He didn’t care if she was dating Robin from Gotham! They were soulmates! As a result, he decided that the best way to get Ladybug
was by making her jealous as he dates someone else
and who else that Marinette Dupain-Cheng! She was simply perfect and cute!
Plus, if they date, he could get her a job with his father! It was perfect! Well sure once he’s dating Ladybug, he will need to leave Marinette but she will understand in the end. After all she’s so sweet and is willing to do anything to help anyone in need so of course she would help him
especially considering he knows she has a crush on him so he’s pretty much making her live her dream.
But imagine his surprise when things don’t go as he hoped

He goes to ask Marinette out only to be stopped by Damian Wayne who threatens Adrien “Stay away from my girlfriend Agreste or I will make you suffer” this shocks everyone
but Lila decides to lie “He’s clearly lying everyone! Marinette clearly hired and actor to claim to be Damian Wayne to get attention!” she claimed
but he quickly silences her as he presents evidence that he is in fact Damian Wayne “And while I’m at it Rossi
how about I destroy you?” and it’s at that moment that he reveals everything about her.
Her lies, her lives, her disguises
everything is revealed as Lila Rossi is arrested by police officers, he then presents to the entire class restraining orders to stay away from Mari
including to a shocked Adrien who looked at Mari for answers.
And her words shocked everyone

“I never liked you, Adrien. It was all a lie I created to hide Damian from everyone so they don’t bother me for stuff that I can get through Damian and his connections” she explained. Sadly, Adrien didn’t believe her and went insane
he began to stalk her, take pictures of her in secret, sent her gifts with no return address and stole some of her stuff.
She tried getting the police involved but he always slipped passed them before they could get him, as a result Adrien was still around bothering her. One day, she was shocked to find that Plagg had mailed himself and his miraculous to Marinette, he went on about how he couldn’t take Adrien anymore and his behavior about her anymore and revealed that Gabriel and Nathalie are Hawkmoth and Mayura “Lila is even helping them” he explained.
As a result, Marinette got the Bat family and got her trusted allies with a miraculous to take down Gabriel and Nathalie and get them arrested for there crimes. Adrien realizing this decides to reveal he’s Cat Noir even without his miraculous which sadly doesn’t help with his reputation as many begin to hate him, to make matters worse someone going by the name Oraculó had posted footage of what Adrien has done that no one had seen as himself and as Cat Noir.
Later on, Emilie’s body was found and the public believed that Adrien had plans to kidnap Marinette and Ladybug to be with them. Chloe even reveals to the public something her mother kept quiet about “My mother has recorded Gabriel Agreste abusing his own wife in the past” this caused chaos in Paris and many believed that Adrien was like his father.
In the end
the class never got to achieve their dreams, Emilie sued Gabriel for everything he put her through and she sends Adrien to a psychiatric center to get him help. The class never visited him, his mom does though but it was every once in a while, that she can
and now? He’s banned from watching TV after he almost destroyed the one at the center after having a meltdown while watching Marinette getting married to Damian on TV.
He truly was insane

Chapter 7 of Introducing: Mousinette đŸ„° Moving to Gotham
In spite of having tried to plan a celebration with everyone for their BAC results, Marinette was the only one in their group who had not yet turned eighteen. And so, Lila had convinced the group that the club she had dragged them to would allow Marinette in if she gave her name at the door, regardless of their over-eighteens only policy.
Trying not to get overly worked up, she apologised to the bouncer at the club, messaging Alya to say that she was going to find somewhere to hang out for the next hour or so before heading home. She didn't expect a message back - the club had sounded unreasonably loud and Lila had a way of making Alya think that Marinette was tardier than she ever was these days.
She also pulled up her messages to Chloe and Adrien, venting her frustrations about their friendship group. Chloe messaged back immediately, saying that she was welcome to come to the hotel and spend time with her and Kagami, but Marinette declined. She knew the girls had not been able to go on a proper date in a while and didn't want to crash it.
After ninety minutes with no messages, Marinette paid for another coffee to go, and left the diner she had made camp in. It was a gorgeous evening, the streetlights twinkling along the Seine and various groups of people having fun. She stayed on well lit streets, enjoying the buoyant mood around her as she walked home.
Once home, she crept quietly upstairs, trying not to wake her parents. Sighing in relief when she made it to her room, she switched on her laptop and dropped a message to Barbara. Having cancelled their regular catch up, Marinette didn't expect to get a response, so was pleasantly surprised when a video call lit up her screen.
“Hey Babs,” she said quietly, leaning back in her bed and picking up an embroidery hoop. “I thought you would be busy since I cancelled on you. I was really only messaging to let you know I was home safe after the night flopped.”
“Hey Mari! Well, it's not just me tonight I'm afraid, I have visitors. Dick and Steph both came over to keep me company,” Barbara replied enthusiastically, and the other two popped their faces in to say hi. “But how come you're home so early?”
So Marinette gave a brief recount of her evening, laughing a little at Dick's affronted expression. When she had finished, she felt a little better for having vented, and so was stabbing her embroidery needle slightly less viciously. “But nothing new, I should have seen this coming when Alya suggested somewhere new. And I bet Lila manages to twist this against me somehow.”
“Wow, she sounds like a bitch,” Steph said offhandedly, although she looked annoyed. “Babe, if you need us to bring the smackdown, please just tell us. I will steal Bruce's jet and be there as soon as humanly possible to set people straight. Hell, I'll even bring the Demon with me to hammer it home if I have to.”
Giggling at the thought, Marinette beamed at the blonde woman. She looked back down and finished a particularly tricky part of the embroidery before looking back at them all. “Oh my God, did I tell you that she lies about being besties with Tim and Damian? I swear she's a compulsive liar, I'm not sure I've ever heard her tell the truth, except for the times she's threatened me,” she added, almost thoughtfully.
“Hold up, she did what?” Dick said, looking even more concerned, if it was possible. He was typing furiously into his phone, typing, Marinette assumed, a message to Tim. “What's this girl's name? I know she can't possibly know Damian, because Damian has exactly one friend, but Tim really needs to shut this down if she's using his name for clout.”
“It's Lila Rossi, but she's not using it for clout per se, she's just using it to make our terrifyingly gullible classmates worship the ground she walks on. I'm not really sure what she gets out of it, other than irritating me and making ‘friends’,” she said, making sure they knew she didn't think they were really friends if she was lying to get them. “But it really doesn't matter, it's the end of June and I move to Gotham mid July. At which point, I don't have to deal with her anymore, plus I get to live some of the lies she tells.”
“It's still not cool, so I'm just giving Tim her name in case it crops up at some point. But she just lies? And nobody calls her out? Hell, I should get Tim to do a French press release just for this, she's clearly a menace to society. Just let us know if we need to do anything for you, we will shut it down,” Dick promised, which made Marinette smile.
“You'd have to get in line behind Jagged,” she admitted ruefully, chuckling at their confused expressions. “That was the first lie, she said she saved Jagged's kitten, as if he's ever had something as tame as a kitten, and she still says she's close with him. It's how she's got them believing half of what she says now. But I really don't want to talk about it any more. If I let her take up space in my brain, she wins.”
The other three begrudgingly accepted this, moving the conversation on to Marinette's impending relocation to the States. The conversation continued, touching briefly on Marinette's birthday plans. Marinette admitted that she didn't plan on doing much, as she would be too busy packing, but her parents were taking her and a few friends to a fancy restaurant to celebrate.
Actually moving from Paris to Gotham was an experience, one Marinette felt she could maybe have lived without. She had found a nice apartment, it had a main bedroom, living area with kitchenette, and a spare room, where she planned on putting her commission work. Moving all of her sewing equipment had been a hassle, and she needed to get extra furniture before she could set it up.
Fortunately, she had gotten herself ahead of her commissions and the space at Wayne Enterprises was all set for her work there. It meant that she could take a day or so to visit thrift stores and find a serviceable workbench or desk, as well as hit the local fabric stores for materials.
But for that night, she wanted to settle into the place, find somewhere secure to store the Miracle Box and sleep. She forced herself to order some takeout and eat it, but then she went through her nightly routine. Her room was at the top of the building, slightly cheaper because you could sometimes hear the vigilantes of Gotham pounding across the roof, but she wasn't really one for waking up to that kind of noise. Tikki would wake her if it was dangerous, but she often slept through most everything.
She found it relatively easy to fall asleep, and Tikki was nestled away on top of the Box. She didn't really remember dreaming at first, but she did jolt awake at 2am, having had a nightmare about Chat Blanc. Even though they were well past the issue, when she was disrupted she found her anxiety liked to bring that particular memory out for a spin.
Sighing and moving quietly, so as not to wake Tikki, and not to annoy her downstairs neighbours, she crept over to her kitchenette. After taking a long drink of cold water from the filter in her refrigerator, she felt the urge to step outside. She listened intently for a moment but couldn't hear footsteps, so she slid the window open and stepped onto the fire escape.
Moving lightly, she slid onto the roof, breathing in the cooler air. It was a warm night and the apartment trapped heat like crazy. She didn't have a trap door to let the heat out, so having access to the roof was nice. Knowing that she was in Gotham, she kept her guard up, which means she wasn't overly surprised when someone stepped out of the shadows on the other side of the roof.
“Bonjour,” she said, smiling up at Robin as he moved towards her. She refused to be intimidated by his silence, and turned back to the skyline view from the edge.
Damian paused, unsure of how to deal with the sudden reappearance of the woman who had changed his behaviour so much, without even being present. He had been prepared to run into her in the office, even to meet her at the university, but during his time as a vigilante? And out on the rooftops, instead of during a mugging, or worse.
“Are you not sketching tonight?” He cringed internally at his abruptness, but outwardly he was cool and curious. She shrugged lightly, peering at him sideways. He could tell she remembered their previous encounter, and he had often wondered how she saw him. It wasn't often he interacted with civilians in both of his identities, and he found himself wondering how they compared.
They stood together in silence for a few minutes before she stepped over to the fire escape again, without saying a word. He quashed the disappointment that welled within him, watching as her head vanished from sight. He stood, immobile for several moments, and was about to retreat back to his perch when she reappeared.
“I'm afraid I don't have anything homemade today, but I did pick up a pack of cookies on my way here,” she said, apparently in explanation. He cocked his head at her, confused. She blushed a little, turning her back on the city to sit upon the ledge. “In Paris, when we had an active supervillain, the heroes would stop by my balcony on occasion, and I would provide a place to rest. Unfortunately, I do not have a balcony here, and I only moved in this afternoon, so I could not bake anything. But if you plan to be here regularly, I can leave some food out. It has always seemed hungry work, being a hero.”
“Vigilante,” he said automatically, leaning forward onto his forearms against the ledge she perched upon. “And whilst I appreciate the sentiment, I am not fond of sweets, particularly mass produced and packaged.”
“Alright,” she shrugged again, taking one for herself and closing the packet. She didn't say anything more, staying close to him without ever crowding him. As it ticked over to 3am, he excused himself, unmuting his comm and letting the team know that he was returning to base. He could feel her eyes on him as he leapt from building to building.
The next time he returned to the rooftop, he was curious as to whether she would be there. It was sooner than he thought it would be, not even a full week later. The roof was empty and he allowed himself to deliberately scuff his boots to make noise. It was just past midnight, early in his usual patrol but the previous night had seen them bust a particularly heinous trafficking ring. The nights following ones like that were notoriously quiet, so he saw no harm in situating himself on an innocuous rooftop and waiting to respond to any threats.
He saw her head peek over the top of the ledge, and her face brightened into a smile as she spotted him. His comm was already muted, most of the team recovering from minor scrapes and the remainder being in no mood to socialise during their individual patrols. Grayson was patrolling the other side of town, but the comm was silent from his usual prattle.
He eyed the plate in Marinette's hand as she approached him and went to remind her that he did not eat sweets often when she gave him a quiet greeting. He felt wrong footed, as though she were following a script and he hadn't been given any notes. Rather than perch where she had last time, she came over to his own perch and settled onto the roof rather than the ledge.
“I know you don't normally eat sweets, so I made some mini quiches and cheese twists,” she said when she was fully settled. He hesitated again, unsure if he should eat anything. He would never normally accept food from a civilian during patrol, but ordinarily he would not have spoken with her either.
When he did accept one, she seemed to brighten considerably, and began chattering about her day, how she had gone into her new job’s building and made a great deal of progress on her work. He already knew she was working at Wayne Enterprises, so he didn't make any outward reaction when she mentioned Drake as her boss.
“So you have always helped your city's heroes by providing nourishment?” He wanted to learn more about the Parisian heroes and her relationship with them seemed the easiest way to breach that topic. “Did they not find you suspicious?”
“Do you find me suspicious?” He would have thought her pretending to be coy if he couldn't hear a genuine sort of surprise to the question. When he didn't say anything, she continued. “Huh, well, no, I guess they didn't. It was mostly Chat Noir who visited me, and we met because I was being targeted by one of the akuma
”
As she launched into a description of her experience with someone called the Evillustrator, he watched her, fascinated by how emotive she was to this version of him. He asked questions as she spoke, and she answered eagerly. He wondered if she had spoken to anyone else about her experiences with heroes.
It startled him when Grayson called for help in his sector, and he hastily said goodbye to Marinette before launching into the night, confirming that he was on his way. He wondered, after the threat was dealt with, whether he would see her on the roof again.
_ _ _
She hadn't intended to befriend the vigilante that frequented her rooftop, but that's what had happened. Sometimes she would be up there already, working on designs, sometimes she would wake when he was stationed above and come to join him. Other times, she would be awake when his feet scuffed the rooftop and she would make her way up. She shared a lot about her time in Paris, finding it easier to talk about her old friends, the villains, and Lila, without worrying that he would dismiss her. It also helped having an outside perspective, something she couldn't get from anyone else.
It was a slightly dreary evening at the end of summer when she began to talk about her plans for the coming academic year. She was huddled closer to him than usual, using him to shield herself from the light rain. She felt a rush of affection for him, not dissimilar to how she would feel as Ladybug, interacting with Chat Noir.
“I just can't believe I have to start classes soon,” she mused, flicking open an app on her phone with her schedule. “I might not be up on the roof as often, but I can leave snacks out in plastic boxes. And I'll try to come out, once a month at least. You're probably the only friend other than Babs that I've made since getting here.”
“What about your employer? I had thought you were on good terms with him,” he said quietly, apparently trying to hide a smile. “And you are sure to make friends in your classes. It is more likely that you will stop coming up here because you have a more filled social calendar, is it not?”
“Hmmm, I don't think so. My understanding is that the first year of university is to be social, but I have already locked myself into a job that will take up so much of my free time, and I have a scholarship to maintain. No, I think it more likely that you will get bored of quiet nights on the roof once the weather changes,” she said ruefully. “And that is a shame, because you are surprisingly good company. When I talk to Babs about the vigilantes,” she missed the panic that flashed across his face, “she says that Nightwing is known to be chatty, Red Robin is some kind of super genius, Red Hood is violent and you are supposedly very prickly.”
“You talk to your friend about these visits?” He sounded confused, maybe a little concerned and she waved her hands emphatically.
“Oh, no, absolutely not. She already worries about me living alone on the top apartment of a complex, I don't want her to know I regularly go onto the roof, alone save for dubiously grouchy vigilantes,” she teased, smiling again. When he nodded, she thought she spotted some relief, which made her wonder if he usually was prickly, but she had somehow earned his friendship.
“Well, perhaps you will befriend more dubiously grouchy people,” he said, sounding amused. She hummed thoughtfully, thinking of another dark haired boy, one who was genuinely grouchy. “Or perhaps you will attract rays of sunshine. Or more people like your unfortunate nemesis, Lila.”
“God, I hope not,” she groaned, looking out at the cityscape again. “If I come across another one of her, I'm calling bull. Did I ever tell you she lies about knowing the upper echelons of Gotham? Claims to be besties with the Waynes, which I know for a fact is a lie, because I asked Tim outright. And if she's friends with Damian, they deserve each other,” she finished sourly.
“You have a problem with the youngest Wayne?” He asked, voice rumbling quietly. She hesitated, wishing she'd minded her tongue - she made an effort not to badmouth any of her acquaintances to him, not knowing who he was or who he knew.
“I wouldn't say I have a problem, per se. He's kind of stuck up, which should be expected, being from money. Like my friend Chloe, she was awful to grow up with and her dad was mayor of Paris. But he's an adult and was just so dismissive of me, right when we first met. Which, fine, I don't need to be friends with everyone, but he's both my boss's little brother and a sort of brother to my friend Babs, so I wanted to get on with him. If I had more time and energy, I might've tried to wear him down, but I'm in a new city, I have work and I have classes.”
“Well, if he was foolish enough to treat you poorly without reason, he will probably give you space. But if you are worried about it for your friends’ sake, perhaps you could extend an olive branch. Perhaps he was having a bad day when you met.”
“The next time I spent one on one time with him, he called me short and childish,” she said flatly, once again missing the contrite look that crossed his face. “He also said that cooking was easy, even though he's never tried it, and that moving out of his manor was beneath him. But forget that, I'm running my mouth when I shouldn't. It happens when I'm nervous, and the idea of starting university in a completely different country is scary.”
They lapsed into a comfortable silence, and Marinette was relieved she hadn't ruined things by ranting about her not-problems. When she eventually went inside, she went straight to bed, and slept through until morning.

Just speaking to the void, but I was fangirling as I rewrote one of my chapter to my Daminette fic and I cannot get over what good parallels there are between Marinette and Damian.
Like, Marinette's this sweet, kind, caring, talented, silly, goofy, clumsy girl who had to grow up too fast. All she wanted to do was survive school, maybe get a boyfriend, have a good time with her friends, and nurture her growing talent and prestige in the fashion world. She loves her parents and family, and she is this exuberant, friendly gal who makes friends with just about everyone. Then, she's given this huge responsibility of being a hero and having to learn how to fight and lead and protect everyone and everything from ultimate destruction, all while keeping her secret identity and constantly feeling like a failure in both her superhero and civilian life. Before being LB, she slept in because she was a heavy sleeper and she stayed up too late being inspired to design, or playing video games with her parents, or doing homework like your average preteen girl. After she became LB, being a superhero took over her regular life. There was no balance. Then came losing Master Fu. Then came Lila, making Marinette's life horrible as a civilian to the point she could become akumatized- which she can't because she's LB. And then her friend- who she became a superhero for- all but abandons her for Lila and makes excuses for her even after learning Marinette's LB. Marinette gains a lot when she became LB- her confidence, a partner, a new love, power, respect, integrity- but I would argue that she lost that much more- Master Fu, her friends (to an extent and bc of Lila), her childhood, her teen years, her normal life, Luka as her boyfriend, a peaceful night's sleep- I could honestly go on. She was an abnormally talented, kind, wonderful girl who would grow up to rule the fashion world if given the chance, and then she had to change when she became LB. She grew up fast and was burdened with a power and responsibility that she never wanted in the first place, and her normal life began to fall apart.
And then there's Damian who grew up with all these expectations to be the next leader of the League of Assassins and was groomed his whole life to rule the world with his immortal (immoral) grandfather at his side. He was taught how to be the perfect assassin since he was born. He was expected to be the perfect offspring of Talia al Ghul and Bruce Wayne/Batman, the world's greatest detective. And he loses everything he's ever known at the young age of ten- his grandfather, his mother as she take over the League, everything he's ever known- and is sent to his father, who he's heard so much about because, despite everything that happened between them, Ra's al Ghul and Talia both have huge respect for Bruce/Batman, and this ten year old assassin is faced with his great father hating who he is and what he was trained to do. Damian starts out with the batfam hating every minute of it. He thinks he's in the right, that they're soft and unwilling to do what it takes to protect the world by taking out the ones who threaten it. He scoffs at his father's rules that all life should be protected and to never kill another, no matter how much you think they deserve it. It goes against everything the League taught him, everything he's ever known, and he spends his childhood learning and failing and learning again how precious life is and how the League and everything he grew up learning is as evil as some of the villains they put behind bars. He becomes a vegetarian and adopts a cow, a dog, a cat. He plays video games and learns that he likes to draw. He goes to school and suffers a mundane life every kid his age goes through. He finds a family and friends and a team falls in love. He spends the second half of his childhood learning how to become a hero instead of a dictator, and it changes him for the better.
And when you put them together, the parallels in their stories and personalities really play off each other well. She had the world at her feet and became restricted as she became a hero. He was restricted to be exactly who his grandfather and mother expected him to be and the world opened up to him when he left them behind. They both suffered and grew up despite everything standing in their way, and I think that creates a strong bond between them when they get to know each other.
(It's also hilarious thinking about how they would handle the other's situation. Like Marinette would absolutely become the favorite child in the Wayne household if that's how she became a hero. And then Damian would take over the League and run the world if that's how he became a hero, which wouldn't be good exactly, but he would likely learn over time (I think))

Mother finds out
(so, Lila lied turned all of Mari's friends against her except for Nino and Chloe apologized to Marinette, the class bully's her physically, verbally, and cyber, Damian knows only of the verbal bullying he doesn't know about the other parts of it, Mrs. Rossi knows nothing of what her daughter does, Nino and Chloe are going to have a good say here. Oh and Marinette is adopted by jagged and Penny sine Tom and Sabine disowned her for a lying sausage haired witch, and Chloe knows Mrs. Rossi since she works at the hotel(She has become nicer and Marinette told Chloe not to hold the mother accountable for Lila's actions and she doesn't want Mrs. Rossi to know what her daughter has done so yah))
Mrs. Rossi P.O.V
I was collecting my stuff to leave till I hear "Mrs. Rossi!" I turn around to see Chloe the Mayors daughter and the future owner of the hotel "what do you need miss?" I turned towards her "may I talk to you in my room?" "sure, do you need me to work a little longer?" I asked out of curiosity "No, its nothing along the lines of work" "oh um ok" I followed her up to the imperial suite, once I stepped in I saw two men, one I recognize as Nino, he would often come here with a blue haired girl named Marinette who also stays here, the other man I haven't seen here before he has black hair, jade green eyes, and he's scowling. "TT, Chloe who is she, and why did you want me hear?" "yes, I would like to know to miss?" I saw her sigh and put on a straight face "Guys this is Mrs. Rossi, Mrs. Rossi that's Damian Wayne, and I called you guys here because of Lila Rossi" I was a little worried when she said my daughter's name and how she knows it, and I'm in a room with a Wayne, Damian spoke up "why do I need to know about her?" well Damian, this involves Marinette" Chloe said with a straight face and then I saw Damians face go serious "what happened to Angel." "well, she's getting bullied by your daughter Mrs. Rossi" I got serious when she said that "what has she done now?" I narrow my eyes "Nino and I are in the same class as Lila and Marinette, she didn't want this to get to you but you need to know." she took a sigh and started explaining. "Mrs. Rossi your daughter Physically, and Verbally bullies Marinette, along with the Cyber bullying" I was shocked and furious that she's doing this "Lila has lied about traveling the world, having diseases, knowing celebs and turned the whole class but Nino and I against her. The class now physically hurts her to where she's gone to the hospital Five times, they call her names, insult her, they've even threatened her, they also went to her parents Tom and Sabine Dupain-Cheng and told them lies from Lila, and they disowned her jagged learned about this and adopted her, after they had started the cyber bullying, they've been sending her death threats and tried suicide baiting her. and Lila had Max hack into Marinettes account and took her money out of it, claiming she stole the money from her or that she stole her designs, its getting bad to where she's broken down in my room..." I was horrified at what Lila had done, then I saw Damian get up and walk out of the room I followed shortly after.
Damien's P.O.V
after Chloe explained what was happening with my angel I was pissed and ready to kill this Harlet, I stood up and headed to my angels, once I got there I went straight to her class and burst into the door to be met with a woman with orange hair in a bob "Sir, you cannot barge into my classroom while I'm teaching!" "TT" I ignored her and looked for my Angel to see her all the way in the back right corner asleep, but it seems she isn't relaxed at all, then I heard Mrs. Rossi "Lila Valentino Rossi!" I saw a girl pale which I'm guessing is the lying Harlet "m-mother w-what a-are y-you doing h-here!?" she yelled "lying to everyone, Including Me, bullying an innocent girl, stealing from peop-" a Harlet with glasses cut Mrs. Rossi off and started talking "Miss! Marinette bully's Lila!" I had it "No she doesn't it's the other way around!" "And who are you!?" "I am Damian Al Gul Wayne." everyone went pale and I walked back to get my angel, while Mrs. Rossi continued scolding the lying Harlet, when she finished I walked back up to the front and turned to look at the class and said "all of you will be sued by me and my family along with every celebrity that has been lied about, and Mrs. Rossi you cannot help Lila pay it off you should not have to pay for your daughters problems." I saw her smile and say "thank you, Mr. Wayne" I just nod and walk out.
no one's P.O.V
after that the class along with the teacher and principle got sued by all the celebrities. Marinette, Chloe, and Nino moved to Gotham, Lila was arrested, she came out as M.D.C(fashion Designer), Nette(singer), and lady red(fencer) a year later, Damian proposed to Marinette three months after the reveal, Nino and Chloe got together a few weeks after and they were happy till the day they died.

Damian the Dog
Inspired by Grumpy Cat, written by @adrestar
------
So what if Marinette moved to Gotham Academy, probably because of Lila bullshit or Guardian Duties.
She is mostly alone so she get a dog who she named Damian.
I actually look up on what type of dog she would have because I don't have a lot of knowledge on dogs. I wanted a small cute black dog. I am going with a Pomeranian or a Scottish Terrier.
It's all fine and going dandy. When one day, Damian overhears the new girl talking about him.
Marinette of course has zero interest in celebrities so she has no clue she is in the same class as Damian Wayne. Her classmates asked if she had any pets so she starts talking about her cute little Dami and showing off pictures of him.
"Look at my Dami. Isn't he adorable?" Marinette cooed, "I just love running my hands through those thick black luscious hair."
Damian gets the idea that Marinette is a stalker or a fangirl who is deluded herself into thinking she is dating him but brushes her off as mostly harmless. He can correct her at any time she steps out of the line.
Let the misunderstandings commence!
Fast forward the next few days, where Marinette keeps talking about her dog and no one has clued her in on the fact that there is a human with the same name as her dog going to classes with her.
Human Damian thinks she has very active imagination, going as far as to fake bite marks on her arms after a supposed passionate embrace.
(Damian the Dog is still being trained. Idk abt raising dogs so I hope I am right.)
The weekend arrive and Damian is at the dog park with Titus. Then he heard the insufferable voice calling out for him,
"Damian. Where are you? Come out. Damian. Dami."
He hid himself for a while, hoping she will give up sooner or later. But no, she keeps coming closer to the spot where he was hiding and calling out his name. Then, Titus blew his cover by coming back with the ball he was sent to fetch.
Thinking he had no choice but to reveal himself, he burst out of the bushes, scaring Marinette.
Meanwhile, Marinette was at the dog park to let Damian out of the apartment and get some exercise. She was kept an eye on him as he ran around but after a phone call from Jagged Stone for a new jacket, she had lost sight of her dog.
Then, while she looked for Damian the dog, someone jumped out of the bushes, giving her a scarce.
She realised that he was a boy from her classes and before she could ask if he had seen her dog, he began yelling at her.
"Listen up, harlot. Get out of your delusional fantasies of dating me and leave me alone." He yelled at a very confused Marinette. Human Damian continued to threaten her with lawsuits on the grounds of stalking, defamation and false claims.
Marinette gets fucking pissed at what the rude guy was yelling at her for no reasons but before she could retort, he stomped away with his dog trailing behind him.
"Come on, Titus. We don't have spend more time with this waste of space."
Marinette is so furious that if she was in Paris, she would have been akumatised for sure. She decided to calm down and go look for Damian, not the human. Arriving at home, she found a lawyer waiting for her and they handed her a thick files of all the charges she was being sued for. It was official she had met someone worse than the Chloe Bourgeosis.
So Marinette decides to stress bake about the problem. Ultimately, she made too much and decided to give away some to her next door neighbour, Jason.
Marinette had been living in Gotham for about a month and Jason knows about her habit to stress bake. They first met when Jason accidentally snuck up on her and she judo-flipped him who was 3 times bigger than her. Jason is impressed and Marinette is mortified. They became friends. Jason cooks her meals sometimes and she bake him desserts. It was a fair trade.
Anyway, Jason asks about her problem and Marinette starts a rant about this rich entitled dick she met who was from her class and she had coincidentally met him at the dog park while looking for Damian. Then, he called her a bunch of insults and names, accused her of stalking him and he had sent lawsuits to her address. Which was bad because she had her business as MDC to consider and this will affect her income.
While ranting, Marinette saw Jason's law degree which he had displayed, partially for his cover as a normal civi but mostly to brag to his siblings about being the only one who graduated from college and law school and rub it in Bruce's face. (We all seen the Jason became a lawyer to get Joker a death sentence post right? So Joker is dead here.)
"Can you be my lawyer? Or can you recommend me one? I promise I can pay you."
Jason patted her head, "Pixie, I will do this for free. I don't know which prick decided to mess with you but I will make him pay. Besides, I can't stand guys like that. You are actually doing me a bit of a favor to knock someone like that down a few pegs. Legally."
Marinette insisted to pay him but Jason compromised to get a cake for an entire month instead for taking the job.
When Jason looked through the papers, he noticed it was from the Wayne Family Lawyers so he decided to go to the Manor to get to the bottom of it. Jason arrived in the middle of Damian on a warpath.
He asked Tim who was the closest and furiously typing on his laptop about what is going on with Damian.
Tim answered, "Apparently there's this girl who is stalking Damian. She claimed to be dating him at school and she showed up while he was out with Titus, looking for him. Right now, I am just checking if she is just delusional and harmless or someone dangerous."
Jason connects the dots between Dog Damian and Human Damian and he tried not to burst out laughing right then and there. "That's good to hear. Anyways, I came here because I forgot something. I am going to see Alfred before I go. Have fun with the lawsuits."
Jason spent the rest of the way home, cackling and the funniest way to win the case.
On the day of the court date,
The rest of the Waynes are surprised to see Jason there in a suit. Dick was understandable, Tim was just there to make sure it goes smoothly, Bruce is also reasonable, Damian is the 'victim'.
"Todd, why are you here?"
"You'll see."
Then, they started telling people to enter before they could get more answers. They soon found out that Jason was the lawyer for the other side.
"Todd, you traitor. How dare you work for the opposition!"
Marinette had arrived with a pet carrier with a dog which Damian claimed was to appeal to his animal lover side.
blah blah blah. Legal procession. I don't know how it goes.
Anyways, it is time for Marinette's defense.
"Your honor, I would like to present evidence which proved that my cilent is innocent in all the charges the plaintiff has accused her of."
"Proceed."
Jason brought out the pet carrier and took out Dog Damian.
"Your honor, this is my client's dog. She was gifted this dog before she moved here to Gotham. I have the receipts to prove this."
"What is the point of this?"
Jason dramatically held up the adorable fluffy black dog which looked like a doll in his hands, "Your honor, the dog's name is Damian." Jason claimed while staring straight at Human Damian.
Dog Damian woofed at the sound of his name. There was a shocked silence that followed.
Jason proceed to give more evidence that yes, the dog name is actually Damian like giving commands using his name and adoption certificate to get rid of any doubt.
"He claimed to have heard her talking about her dating but what were the actual words you heard her say?"
"That I am adorable and she likes running her fingers through my soft dark hair."
"Your honor, my cilent was actually bragging about how cute her dog is and how she likes petting Damian the dog's obviously black fur. And you also claimed that she stalked you to the dog park and called out your name several time. She was there by coincidence because the park is the closest to her apartment and she was calling his name because she had lost sight of Damian. Dog Damian I mean. It was Human Damian's fault for assuming she was calling out for him."
Jason continued to explained how each claim was Damian's own misunderstanding of the situation and there are statements from his classmates who confirmed that Marinette was talking about her pet dog. They didn't told her about Human Damian because they found it funny that her dog had the same name.
"In addition, my cilent had no idea who Damian Wayne was. Only knowing him as her classmate. "
Tim is right now filming and having the best time of his life as he watched Damian wished that the ground would swallow him whole. Dick is trying so hard not to laugh while Bruce's lips were twitching.
Jason decides to make a counter-law suit for the emotional damage and potential financial damage Human Damian had caused Marinette by suing her for millions when she was just a struggling student, getting by on her own income in a foreign country.
Marinette stopped him, "Jason, this is enough. I am fine with a hand-written apology."
"The amount I am asking for is just a drop of water of an ocean for them. They are that filthy rich. Besides, you can get that motorcycle side-car for Damian you had been eyeing a while ago. You can also use the money to buy dog stuff that you couldn't before because of your budget."
Marinette hesitated and agreed. The case ended with it in Marinette's favor.
Tim approached them as they exited with Marinette hugging Damian (the dog) and Jason grinning in glee over his victory and simultaneously humiliated Damian (the human) in the process. Tim high-fived Jason.
Tim offered a job to Marinette because he had done a background check on her due to the potential threat she posed and found out about MDC. He does it because he liked her talent and it would look great to have Wayne Enterprise on her resume. Also the best dirt on Damian.
Marinette told him that she would think about it and he gave her a card.
Damian wrote the apology letter, very embarrassed by the entire trial. His pride wouldn't recover for a while and he took it out on Jason who knew about it the entire time and didn't tried to stop and clear up the misunderstanding.
The next day at school, Marinette went to Damian's seat and said, "Good morning, Human Damian."
"Why are you calling me like that?"
"I am sorry. I thought you would appreciate the clarification of which Damian I am referring to. I wouldn't want to end up in court again after being branded as a delusional fangirl of yours because I was just talking about my adorable Dami. I meant to say My adorable dog, Dami. Human Damian."
For the next few months, everyone keeps referring to Damian as Human Damian.

If You Mess With Me, You're Messing With My Family
Summary: Being a Wayne means many things. It means being emotionally constipated and stubborn. It means having guilt and hero complexes the size of an entire country. It meant late nights,it meant fist fights and screaming matches but above all, being a Wayne meant that you always had someone watching your back. Wayne's protect their own, for better or worse. No one could mess with a Wayne and Lord help the one that tries. (Also known as Lila threatens Marinette but doesn't exactly get the reaction she's expecting)
_________________________________
If there was one thing Marinette hated more than anything else in the world, it was liars. Whether it be from the media or a certain classmate. In recent weeks, Marinette had gotten really good at ignoring Lila's eyes. It wasn't easy by any means. It had taken several long conversations with Alfred to come up with a plan that would keep most of the heat off of her and eventually put an end to Lila's lies. She wisely made Alfred promise not to tell her siblings. He agreed on the conditions that she keep him informed and that she promised to let them know if it got out of hand. To say Marinette was grateful was an understatement.
Her family was overprotective to say the very least. Even Damian, as prickly as he may be at times. Marinette had no doubt that if they were aware of the situation, they would come swooping to the rescue with lawsuits and most likely some blood in the mix. It was never good when a Wayne lost their temper. Lex Luther had found that out the hard way. She smile fondly at the memory. Had it created a bit of a media storm? Yes. Had it been worth it? Absolutely.
The plan Marinette had cooked up involved a lot of sitting back and waiting, as much as it pained her to do so. Sitting back made it look like she was submissive . It made it look Luke she was bowing down. However, it was necessary. Evidence was a lot easier to collect without everyone hating you. Plus if an incident were to happen, her father would undoubtedly hear about it and that, as she had already pointed out, wouldn't end well.
Despite how much she hated it, Marinette was proud at how well she played her roll. Not that she would have expected anything else, she was the daughter of Batman after all. Lila wasn't the only one who knew how to manipulate the situation in their favor. It was a back and forth game at this point. A game that, despite being frustrating, Marinette couldn't deny she kind of enjoyed. If only to watch the poorly concealed rage on Lila's face when she realized she had been outsmarted. The key to this tactic was mind games, something all the bats were exceptionally good at. By far Marinette's favorite, was to stay silent and watch Lila talk herself into a corner. Everyone had something that caused them to slip up. Lila's was her constant need for attention. When things go quiet, Lila would talk to fill the space in order to keep the attention on her. This often caused her to inadvertently contradict herself or leave small discrepancies in her story. Then all Marinette had to do was point those out. The hard part was pointing them out in a way that sounded genuinely confused and interested instead of accusing and frustrated. She also had to leave some of the alone lest it look like she was trying to search for the bad. Marinette's problem was that she often got over excited which led to mistakes on her part. Patience was something she was working on. She chose to focus on the bigger holes Lila left in her stories. Besides, the goal at this point wasn't to expose her. It was just to sew seeds of doubt. Just enough that people began to take her word with a grain of salt. Maybe someone might actually end up googling her claims for once.
Marinette had worked long and hard on this plan and she could tell it was beginning to work. People no longer followed her blindly. There was even people who would point out contradictions before Marinette had to. In short it was working perfectly. She should have known something would go wrong.
You see the only thing Marinette hated worse than liars, was people who lied about her family. That was by far the quickest way to make her blood boil. Her brothers weren't the only ones that were protective. Being a Wayne means many things. That is why the thing that caused Marinette to break her perfectly crafted disguise, to ruin all the progress she had made, was when she heard Lila Rossi say,
"Damian is a complete and total jerk, He's so mean to everyone. If I was his parent I would have shipped him off to some behavioral correction school," Lila stated confidently. Instantly Marinette's blood pressure sky rocketed. Though Lila at least hadn't tried to paint Damian as sweet and innocent or claimed to be dating the fierce eight year old. IF she had their would have been nothing stopping her from jabbing her pencil into her neck. Still, Damian might be a brat at times, but he was her brat and no one was going to talk about him that way. She could barely hear Alya's reply over the blood roaring in her ears.
"Wow girl, you certainly seem to know the Wayne's well," The astonishment and admiration in her voice almost made Marinette feel sorry for the gullible reporter. Almost.
"Oh yeah, well I traveled to Gotham not long ago. Me and Richard really hit it off. We've been talking ever since," Lila added a rather convincing blush at the end. Marinette's control, snapped. Dick was 24 years old, a stark contrast to their 14.
"Prove it." Marinette's voice was like steel as it rang through the classroom. Everything went silent as her comment seemed to echo throughout the room.
"Excuse me?" Lila questioned, narrowing her eyes.
" You heard me. Show us the text messages that you apparently have had with Richard Grayson," Marinette demanded. Fake tears welled up in Lila's eyes.
"Are you- Are you accusing me of lying?" Her voiced trembled rather convincingly. Marinette might have been impressed if she wasn't so angry. Marinette could feel her face flush but for completely different reasons than Lila.
"Marinette, come on, not this again. I thought we got past this," Alya cut in, disappointment lining her voice, " There is no need for this jealousy. Just because Lila has done some cool things doesn't mean that your accomplishments are lesser."
"Oh believe me I know. I never implied that I felt insecure and I have no reason to be jealous. What I have implied is that I am tired of the lies that spill from Lila's mouth. Especially when those lies can ruin someone's life and reputation," Marinette snapped. Lila let out a sob and Alya opened her mouth again but Marinette fixed her with the significant 'bat glare' as she continued, " I refuse to listen to the poison that you feed everyone you speak too. So listen close Lila cause I'm not going to say it twice, stop the lies or I will stop them for you. And I promise you that my way won't be nearly as pleasant, " The silence in the room was deafening. Several people in the room sat in shock at the cold, angry outburst from their generally sweet and gentle classmates. More people appeared to be angry about her accusations. As he temper began to boil over, she made the wise decision to remove herself from the situation. The last thing she needed was to be akumatized or give into the urge to punch her classmate.
Marinette reveled in the way that the door slammed behind her as she exited. She quickly made her way to the bathroom and took a deep breath once she entered. She paced the floor, attempting to rid herself of her anger induced energy. She still seethed with rage but the longer she was away from the classroom, the calmer she got. She had just managed to reign in her temper once more when she heard the door open behind her, admitting Lila Rossi. Lila stood with a triumphant smirk.
"Alright Dupain-Cheng it seems someone has forgotten our little conversation. But since you've been a good little girl up until now, I will give you one last chance. You are either with me or against me. Your choice but I can assure you my way won't be nearly as pleasant," Marinette had to physically hold herself back from lunging at the girl. Instead she let out a humorless laugh, more of a cackle really, that sent grown men running. She steeled herself, exuding as much confidence as she possibly could. Gone was Marinette Dupain-Cheng and left in her place was Marinette Wayne. Hero of Paris, Vigilante of Gotham, Daughter of Bruce Wayne. Marinette was done pretending to be anything less than the confident girl she was
"My father raised a daughter who was kind, empathetic, responsible, trustworthy, willing to help others, forgiving, someone who put others before herself, and someone who would do the right thing even when it was hard,"Marinette said, slowly walking towards Lila, " But my father did not raise a push over. I have never let anyone walk all over me and I'm not going to start now."
"I will ruin you," Lila spat but Marinette just laughed. The laugh was more genuine this time as she found the prospect truly amusing.
"Oh I would love to see you try. Many people have said that sentence and all of them have yet to succeed. You see Rossi, I am more powerful then you could ever dream to be," Marinette thought of all the tabloids, political figures, and haunty businessmen she had faced over the year. If they couldn't beat her, with all of their resources and influence, than Lila Rossi certainly couldn't.
"Who do you think you are?" Lila scoffed, Marinette had to give it to Lila, she had her to waiver or show any signs of uncertainty. That was more than most people could say. It was common knowledge in Gotham not to make a Wayne angry. They had proved time and time again that they will stop at nothing to gain justice.
"Marinette Wayne, daughter of Bruce Wayne. Trust me Rossi, you can't touch me," That caused Lila to pale ever so slightly, and a look of fear flashed through her eyes. A normal person would have missed it but Marinette had been trained in observation since before she knew what the word meant. It sent a sense of satisfaction rushing through her.
"I will take away everyone you care about. I will turn all of your friends against you,"Lila threatened and Marinette had no doubt that she would and honestly, she didn't care. Lila could have the gullible attention seekers who wanted nothing to do with you unless you benefited them. They didn't want friends, they wanted stepping stones. It would hurt yes, that much she knew, but she had people that would pick her back up.
"Is that supposed to scare me? "Marinette question raising an eyebrow at the empty threat. Lila might be able to convince the akuma class but her best and most trustworthy friends, the ones she held most dear, were not so easily fooled. They may live in Gotham but Marinette had no doubt her siblings could be in Paris within the hour. Whether through Zeta tube, which they had ensured was in place before she moved, or by certain super individuals.
" It should ," Lila replied, standing firm. Marinette smiled,
"Honey, I'm from Gotham, you don't scare me," Marinette mentally put Lila next to any of Gotham's villains and laughed. She left out the fact that all of those villains she had fought at least once. Her nightly activities with her family might be fairly new in Gotham but they weren't in Paris. Marinette shuttered as she remember when they found out that she was Ladybug. To say they had been unhappy was an understatement. It wasn't so much that she was a superhero that had been the issue. It was the fact that she hadn't told them or gone to them for help. It was the fact that she was facing her struggle with Hawkmoth alone. Of course her working with Chat Noir hadn't helped any. His incessant flirting and goofing off had not gone over well. That paired with the fact that he was a boy had her siblings, specifically Jason, after his head.
"You won't be so confident when I'm through with you," Lila stated firmly, fire in her eyes.
"Bring it on Rossi. But let me warn you, Wayne's protect their own. If you mess with one of us, you mess with all of us and trust me, that is not something you want to experience. Do you know why?" Marinette asked, face only inches away from Lila's own," Because we Wayne's, never lose,"and with that final statement, Marinette strode confidently out of the bathroom. She paused a second in the doorway before adding, "And Lila, if you ever lie about dating my eight year old brother again, there will be nothing that will save you from the full extent of my wrath," Marinette didn't look back as the door closed behind her and she made her way back into the classroom.
This was me venting not gonna lie. Its not my best work but I really loved the concept and so here we are. Let me know if you want me to add to this. As always let me know what you want to see next!!!!

Ex-League/Child Assassin member Marinette who was (still is) engaged to marry Damien. She's learned about life outside the League and how to behave around normal people but she does sometimes revert back to her old self, once during an Akuma attack she threatens with a knife to skin, and neuter Chat if didn't knock his flirting off, so when she overhears Lila telling a lie about dating Damien Wayne, well... she's gonna have to make sure Lila knows NEVER to spin that little lie again.
Fear Me!
Marinette Wang Fu carried herself with pride and purpose.  She was raised for greatness and she knew her place as the heir to The Order.  So when she was told she would one day be wed to the heir of their sister tribe, The League of Assassins, she accepted as the honor that she was told it was.
Marinette remembered the aftermath of her first mission with Damian.  He was brash and hot headed which was the complete opposite of her strategic style of fighting, yet they worked almost perfectly as she came up with a plan and he attacked and enacted it.  Once the mission was over they still had 6 hours before they had to be at the rendezvous point.  The city was having some sort of spring festival with flowers and bright colors everywhere.  Children about their age laughed and ran around with childish glee that neither had ever been able to experience.
“Can we participate for a few hours Damian?”
Marinette asked hopefully with a small shine in her eyes.  Damian rolled his eyes and leaned against the wall they were hiding behind.
“Tt.  I suppose we may stay for a few hours while we wait.”
Marinette sent him a blinding smile, but he just turned away ignoring the way his heartbeat quickened ever so slightly.  When he turned back Marinette was gone and it only took a few moments more to find her in new clothes, most likely stolen from a clothes line, talking to the other village youth.  Following her lead Damian grabbed some clothes from a clothes line that would fit him and watched her from a distance.  A gentle smile played on his lips as he watched her dance around the town square and as the other girls placed a flower crown around her head.  He was a little surprised when she ran up to him, and without any warning grabbed his wrist and pulled him towards the center of the square.
“Come on Dami, I know you can dance.”
Marinette said with a small smirk on her lips.
Damian rolled his eyes and let out a,
“Tt.”
Before letting her lead him through festival dances.  Once Marinette was dragged away once again Damian wandered off to the stalls where random trinkets and foods were being sold.  As he wandered the booths a small hairpin caught his eye.  It was a glass pastel blue flower with clear beads with gold stems bonding them in place.  A gold leaf with gaps between each vein, finally golden vines shot upwards with light pink beads sprouting from the tips of the vines.  He quickly took the hairpin and made his way back to the town square where Marinette was at a table constructing something.
As soon he stepped foot in the square her head immediately shot up and she smiled at him waving over to him in a ‘cone here’ motion.  Damian made slow steady steps and stood next to her.
“Give me your wrist.”
She demanded.  He raised a brow and kept his arms crossed in front of him.  Marinette let out a huff and glared at him.
“Damian, give me your wrist.”
Sighing in defeat he dropped his arm and felt her gently take his wrist and wrap something around it.  Glancing down he saw a small thin drip of leather thread and beads and different crafts scattered all along the table.  He watched slightly intrigued as she layered our black rounded beads onto the thread before placing a silver bead with a flat top and bottom on each end, and finally dark green jade ball beads.  Taking his wrist again she tied an expert knit tight enough that it wouldn’t fall off but loose enough that he could take it off his wrist if he wanted to.  He studied at the bracelet on his wrist for a few moments before he gave a nod of satisfaction.
“It is adequate.”
Marinette gave him a bright smile.  That might as well have been him telling her that he loved it without saying it.
“I have also found a gift for you.”
Marinette looked at him with wide shocked eyes before they flickered with mischief.
“Oh?  And what exactly is it?”
Damian placed a hand in his pocket and grabbed the clip and silently held it out to her.  Marinette’s eyes sparkled with pure delight as she almost reverently took the pin from his palm.  She looked him in the eyes and with a gentle smile whispered,
“Thank you Damian.  It’s beautiful.”
Damian nodded and felt his lips twitch as she immediately placed the clip in her hair.
That was only the first of many of their adventures.  Marinette loved the extra time they got after finishing a mission quickly and efficiently, because she would get to wander around and talk to other people and learn how people outside of the League and Order behaved.  She preferred being around the towns and cities than being in the organizations where she was forced to train and hurt.
Then one day she was forced to go on a solo mission to Paris because there was an evil imbalance there.  She thought that it would be over quickly, a month tops, but instead it lasted years.  She was allowed to send a letter to Damian once a month, and she always loved his responses, but then one day he never responded, and she was told she was no longer allowed to write to him.
If it wasn’t for the emotional terrorist or the training she was put through, she would have cried.  But she didn’t, she just kept going on with the life of her cover with her little bit of joy gone.  And when her last bit of joy had disappeared, so did most of her care and self control.
It was only Mr. Pigeon, it was an easy fight.  But she was already having a bad day, the pressures and expectations of everything that she needed to do were heavy on her shoulders, and she was done.  So when Chat Noir leaned in for a kiss she shoved him away with all of her strength and watched him go flying.  As she watched him fall she yelled out with all of her frustration,
“If you try to touch me again I will find a scalpel and neuter you myself!”
And then she turned and sent her most bone chilling glare at the Akuma and growled, if you don’t let me purify the stupid evil butterfly right now, I will take a knife and skin you alive myself.
To say that the Mr. Pigeon was effectively scared for his life would be an understatement.  In fact, he even broke the whistle himself just for her.  And Chat Noir hadn’t dared to touch her since.
If someone asked her about Lila Rossi an hour ago, she would say she didn’t care about the girl.  She didn’t care that the class worshiped her because she didn’t care about the class.  Marinette could care less about anything that happened in the school and less about what would happen to the people.  But that was an hour ago, because now she definitely cares about the lying brat.
“Of course!  Damiboo is so sweet, and he’s just the nicest man I’ve ever met.”
Marinette grit her teeth quietly in the back.  Lila was apparently claiming that she was dating Damian Wayne, her fiancé.  How dare this lying harlot even speak his name!  So when it was time to change classes and she followed the nÀieve girl walk into the bathroom she followed with a feral flint in her eyes.
“Hello Lila.”
Marinette said flatly as she stared directly at the girl with cold, dark, emotionless eyes.
“Oh Marinette!  It’s so good to see you.”
“I’m afraid that I can not say the same.”
Marinette said faining sorrow in her voice, but never taking her eyes off the girl.
“Oh?  Why is that?”
Lila said with fake tears welling up in her eyes.  Marinette took a step forward.
“Listen here you lying brat.  I haven’t cared about you, I haven’t cared about your stories, and I haven’t called you out in anything.  But there is one thing I REFUSE for you to taint.”
Marinette growled and let a small pocket knife fall from her sleeve into her palm without Lila noticing.  Lila’s demeanor completely changed and a prideful smirk played at her lips.
“Oh really, and pray tell what that would be.”
“I’m giving you one chance, and that’s more than most people will ever get.  You will never, and I mean never lie about Damian Wayne ever again or I swear I will make your life a living Hell.”
Lila had the audacity to laugh at that.  A hideous cackle really.  When she was done her smug smile grew as she placed a hand on her hip and joyously replied,
“And why would I do tha-“
Before she could even finish her sentence Marinette was on her with a knife held to her throat.  Lila gazed at her with pure unadulterated fear as she felt the sharp metal at her throat.
“Listen here you lying b*.  I am not asking a lot, I never said for you to stop lying completely.  I don’t care what you say as long as you leave the Wayne’s out of it.  Do you understand?”
She growled out keeping the small knife steady and placed it at the girl’s throat.  She slowly nodded, but that wasn’t good enough for Marinette.
“Answer me!”
“Y-yes!  I p-promise!”
Marinette immediately got up and placed the knife back up her sleeve.  There was no longer a trace of any anger, just pure joy and a bright smile.
“I'm glad we came to an understanding, Lila!  Thank you for listening to me!  Have a great rest of the day!”
And with that she left the shaking terrified girl on the bathroom floor to rethink all of her life decisions.
The next day Marinette had a beautiful flower pin tucked into her hair, and if the light hit the petal just right you could see a carved letter on each of the petals that spelled out A-N-G-E-L.

Could I ask for Chat Noir salt where
After Marinette leaves Paris and heads to your city for choice (Star City, Central City, Metropolis, Gotham) and gets into a relationship.
She has to return to Paris via Horse Miraculous to fight an akuma and bumps into Chat immediately after leaving the portal, so he asks why and she explains her new living situation (its actually been a while since she moved, he just now noticed)
Maybe he wants her identity since she's no longer at risk and she shuts it down
He gets violent and she takes the ring?
Sorry for the wait! Hope you like it and was worth the wait!
Marinette had decided enough was enough. Things in Paris had been getting worse lately, with Lila and the class. So she had decided to move to Gotham as a part of a student exchange program. She had a pen pal that attended Gotham Academy and their family had offered to host her, if she decided to participate in the exchange program. At first Marinette had been hesitant about leaving Paris while Hawkmoth was still active. But now, things had gotten so bad in Paris, she was worried she could be akumatized herself. That couldn’t happen. She figured the distance from Paris would do her good. So, she packed up her stuff and left for Gotham.
---------------------
Marinette had been in Gotham for about a month now. So far everything was going great. Her host family was really nice and welcoming. Her new class was fantastic, and they all became friends quickly. She had even started growing close to Damian Wayne, much to her new class’ shock. Damian wasn’t exactly outgoing, or friendly to the rest of the class. So it was a bit of a shock to see him warm up to Marinette so fast. Marinette was very happy with Gotham and really enjoyed her time there.
----------------------
But without fail, about once every few days, Hawkmoth would attack Paris and she would have to go back to deal with an akuma. She had been using the horse miraculous to travel back and forth as needed, and so far no one had figured out that she didn’t live in Paris anymore. She hadn’t even told Chat when she left. She didn’t want to risk anyone knowing she didn’t live in the city anymore and that news getting back to Hawkmoth. The less people that knew, the better. And that includes Chat. She had always made sure to open a portal to Paris, somewhere isolated, where no Parisians would see her. She had always been very careful. But today, she had been at Wayne Manor, having a movie date night with Damian, when the alert went out. So she was in a rush once she found a spare bedroom to hide and transform. So, she also didn’t realize that the portal she had made put her in an alley that Chat was also using to transform.
------------------------
Marinette stepped out of the portal, thankfully already transformed, and right in front of Chat. He stared at her, confused. “Milady? Why are you using the horse miraculous? What’s going on?” Marinette, trying to focus on the task at hand, said “Let’s focus on the akuma for now. I will explain everything after.” Chat nodded, but was distracted for the majority of the fight, trying to figure out why Ladybug had used the horse miraculous.
-------------------
It was an easy fight, Mr. Pigeon again. They didn’t even have to use their powers to beat him. Which left them plenty of time to discuss the horse miraculous. Marinette explained everything. How things in Paris had gotten bad for her in her civilian life and she was worried about being akumatized. How she had moved to Gotham as part of an exchange program. And how she had been using the horse miraculous to go back and forth between the two cities for about a month now. After she was done, Chat was just staring at her in shock. Marinette waited for him to be mad at her for keeping this from him, or maybe be concerned about whatever had happened in Paris to make her leave. But instead, the first thing he said was “This is great Milady!”
---------------------
Marinette was now the one in shock, as she stared at her partner. “What do you mean, ‘this is great’? I thought you would be mad I didn’t tell you sooner.” Chat shook his head. “Well, maybe I was a little mad, but its fine. Because now that you don’t live here, your identity is perfectly safe! We can tell each other now and it will be fine!” Marinette just stared at Chat, not sure what to say. “Chat, we can’t. Our identities have to be a secret. Just because I live in Gotham now, doesn’t mean it is safe. You could be akumatized and Hawkmoth would find out. Or if I come back to Paris for a time, and get akumatized, he could learn your identity. I am sorry Chat, but we can’t.” Marinette turned to leave, about to open a portal, when Chat’s clawed hand grabbed her arm tightly. She turned around to look at him again, and Chat looked furious.
-----------------------
Marinette tried to pull her arm out of Chatïżœïżœïżœs grip, but she couldn’t get away. “Chat, what are you doing? Let go!” Chat’s grip tightened, definitely leaving a bruise. “No! I am tired of this Milady. I have waited long enough. I deserve to know who you are!” Much to Marinette’s horror, Chat reached with his free hand for her earrings. Thinking quickly, Marinette twisted her arm Chat was holding, making his arm twist too. She kneed him in the stomach, sending him to the ground. Chat jumped up and actually tried to use his claws on her! Marinette couldn’t believe this was happening. Chat had managed to land a few hits, leaving Marinette with several bleeding cuts on her arms and chest. Before Chat was able to cause any life threatening injuries, Marinette was able to trip him and pin him to the ground with his arms behind his back. In this moment, Marinette knew that Chat was not fit for a miraculous anymore. Maybe he had been once, but he couldn’t be trusted now. Marinette removed the ring from his finger. A green light flashed, and then Adrien was on the ground in front of her. Adrien tried to apologize and beg for the ring back, but Marinette didn’t listen. She just opened the portal, and arrived back at the manor, still bleeding. Of course though, with the way this night had been going, she wasn’t alone in the bedroom she had come back to. Damian had been looking for her and came into the room, just as the portal opened and Marinette stepped through, still transformed. For a while, after the portal closed, they just stared at each other in silence. Finally, Damian broke the silence. “So, Angel, are we going to talk about the portal, your new outfit, or the bleeding wounds first?”

Dirty Mind
Lila scowled to herself. It had been six months since someone new joined the class. He immediatley attached himself to Marinette Dupain-Cheng and hadn't left her side. She had tried almost all of her tactics to sway him to her side. She tried flirting with him, but he ignored her. She tried to tell him of all the wonderful people she knew; he walked away before she could finish her story. She tried to proclaim she could help him get his dream job by using her connection. He rolled his eyes at her. She touched him once. He loudly proclaimed she was sexually harassing him and needed to learn the word 'No'. That lone incident had made her take steps backwards in her plan and forced her to give him space. The only thing she had left was framing Marinette. If she could get him to believe that goody-goody wasn't what she appeared, she would win. She'd gain a new pawn and Marinette would once again be all alone.
"I would like you to listen to me about Marinette." Lila demanded, gaining the rest of the class' attention.
Damian sighed, but nodded.
'Might as well get this over with. Must be some big lie if she wanted their attention on us.'
"You're friend threatened me last night when I went to the grocery store. My mama wanted to make an apple pie and Marinette asked what I was making. When I told her, " Lila hid her hands in her face and began to shake her shoulders, "She-she said it would never be tasty and if I choked on it, the world would be a better place."
"Are you quite done with your pathetic routine of trying to get me to fall in line, like the rest of these morons?" Damian questioned, not giving her a chance to add more to her lie.
'What?'
Lila looked up from her hands and found the new student looking at her, rather annoyed.
"I know for a fact that Mari didn't threaten you last night." he continued.
"Really and how do you know that?" growled out Alix.
"Seeing as how she was in my bed, all last night, I think I would have noticed her leave. Don't you?" the Wayne heir smirked, "I dropped her off at the bakery, ten minutes ago, for her to change."
Lila had no idea how to react to that line of commentary and rushed to her seat. She had been trying to get him to see Marinette wasn't what she appeared and he had used her own plan against her.
Not even two minutes later, Marinette stumbled into class wearing something that wasn't her normal style. It only confirmed Damian's story. Marinette walked in wearing a faded black t-shirt that read Wayne Enterprise, that was obviously too big for her. It was tucked into pink, high-waisted shorts, and a Robin letterman's jacket. To top it off, her usual hair was tied up in a messy ponytail, instead of its usual fishtail braid, they had now been accustomed to.
"This is all your fault." The class heard her growl out, as she took her seat next to Damian.
"And what exactly is my fault, Angel?" Damian asked, amused.
"I didn't wash my clothes yesterday, like I planned." Mari pouted, "I was suppose to go home last night."
"I think you look beautiful." he spoke, "The shorts; one of your own designs, I believe."
"Ye-Yes." she whispered, embarrassed.
"Then, my statement stands." the Wayne heir smirked, "I do enjoy seeing you in my clothes. It should happen more often."
Marinette blushed and began to get her things out for class. Damian chuckled, as his Angel tried to hide her flushed state from him.
The rest of the class couldn't believe what they had overheard. Marinette had been with Damian all last night. She even showed up in some of his clothes. The one question on everyone's mind was, 'When had they gotten so close?'
"You know, that lavender set you had on last night was breathtaking." Damian stated, as they walked to their next class.
"Really?" Marinette blushed, earning a nod, "It took me a long time to make it."
"The work you put into it was immense. The color brought out your eyes. You should wear the color more often." He smirked.
Marinette blushed, "I am working on something with lace in that color."
"I will wait until I can see you in it, Habibiti." the Wayne heir spoke, before leaning over and kissing her cheek.
The class was reeling with new information. They had begin to completely ignore Lila in order to gain any information on the new ship: Daminette. They needed more information and it seemed Damian had no problem spreading it. They had all heard how 'secretive he was' and how he 'preferred his personal space'. It now seemed his 'personal space' included Marinette Dupain-Cheng.
"You know, Angel, I never would have guessed you were so flexible." Damian spoke out, during lunch.
Several people in the vicinity began to choke on their food and drinks.
"Hmmm. Oh." Marinette smiled and shrugged, "I'm just naturally flexible."
"You didn't do gymnastics or cheerleading?" he questioned.
"No." Marinette looked at him confused.
"Most people have to train their bodies to perfect the splits. Not to mention, have that kind of stamina to keep bending that far back and for so long." he replied.
"I'm gifted?" Mari questioned.
"We really should have you stretch out a bit more before we start. You seemed a bit winded. You were panting a lot and practically inhaled your water by the time we finished." Damian commented.
"Well, maybe you shouldn't be so rough on a novice." Marinette quipped back.
"You'll only get more experienced this way." Damian replied.
Marinette pouted and went back to her design. Damian changed the subject to Marinette's open sketchbook. He quickly glanced up and saw that the other tables were speaking in hushed whispers.
"You know, for a designer, you wear very misleading clothes." he spoke up, during PE.
"What do you mean?" Marinette questioned, running along side him.
"Most people prefer to show off their figure. You wear clothes that don't contour to your frame." Damian stated.
"Are you suggesting I wear tighter clothes?" Marinette asked.
"Merely stating that what you wore last night showed off your slim, tone, yet curvy body." the Wayne heir declared.
Mari blushed, "I don't like it when people stare."
"Yes, I suppose that is true. I wouldn’t like it if others began to stare at you, either." Damian growled out.
Marinette smiled and glanced in his direction, "Maybe I should wear something a bit tighter tomorrow. It would be interesting to see how you would react, Shaytan."
Damian turned and glared at Marinette, "Angel, someone's eyes would be gouged out."
Marinette only giggled at his declaration. No one knew how they felt about that threat.
At the end of the day, Marinette was putting her things in her locker when she overheard hushed whispers.
'I can't believe Mairnette slept with Damian already.'
'How long to do you think they've been having sex?'
'I don't know, but I guess he liked how flexible she was.'
Marinette slammed her locker shut, gaining everyone's attention. She left the locker room, quickly, knowing Damian was waiting outside for her.
'Damian better have one hell of an explanation for this!'
"Damian Wayne!" Marinette shouted, "Get your ass over here so I can kick it!"
Immediately, everyone in the quad turned their attention on to them. It may have escaped their class' notice, but everyone else on campus was well aware that Daminette had existed for quite awhile. It was rare for them to argue and it seemed like this might turn into a fight. Damian just stood there with a smirk on his face, as Marinette stomped up to him.
"Why does everyone from class think I slept with you?" she questioned, with a red face.
"You did." he commented.
"Sexually." she growled out.
"They are perverts with a foul mind." Damian answered, "We already know they are gullible and take anything and everything out of context."
"How do they know I slept with you?" Mari asked, poking him in the chest.
"That horrid liar said you threatened her last night at a shop. You couldn't have done that if you were with me, no?" he smirked in return.
He could tell she was flustered and was having trouble finding the right words to say.
"I-no, but-you-still-." she attempted to fumble a sentence.
Damian tilted her flushed face to look at his and kissed her forehead.
"We are not at that step in our relationship, Angel." he spoke, "Although, I did enjoy you laying besides me."
"Me too." Marinette spoke, blushing.
"So, did you want me to continue teaching you self defense?" Damian questioned.
"Yes, please." Mari smiled, "Did you really like the lavender workout clothes I made?"
"Yes, Habibiti." he answered, "They brought out your eyes and distracted me greatly during our sparring match." kissing her lips.
Marinette beamed a smile at him, grabbed his hand, and pulled him away from campus.
The class stood there in shock, as everyone around them chuckled. They had been entirely mistaken about Marinette and Damian's relationship. Apparently, he had been training her to defend herself and they had likely passed out from exhaustion. It was still a bit of a surprise that they were dating, but everything else they learned that day was false. The only thing they learned was that Damian knew how to command an audience of people and they had fallen for it hook, line, and sinker. One by one, they left the campus without another word to each other, too embarrassed to say anything.

The Strings that Bind Us: Ch. 15
Day 15: Alt Prompt Legends/Mythology (if you squint)
AO3
Prev
After breakfast, her parents insist that she show her little family around Paris before dinner, despite her insistence that she could help. They were as bad as Alfred. She grins at the thought of the man meeting her parents. He was currently in London, but was supposed to take a train over and join them for dinner.
“Can we go to Notre Dame?” Jason asks suddenly, tugging her from her thoughts. She grins, remembering one of the first conversations they’d had, when they first connected.
“That’s fine with me. Bruce?” She glances at her boyfriend, only for him to already be looking at her with an odd look on his face. “You okay?” She asks. He nods, and clears his throat.
“Yes, sorry. Notre Dame? Sounds fun.” He says, squeezing her hand. She grins, pushing down the insecurities threatening to bubble to the surface. There was something about Paris that just wasn’t friendly anymore. Didn’t feel as welcoming as it had when she was living there full time. Ignoring the feeling, (since it was nothing like the feeling from when Jason died), Marinette leads her family to Notre Dame.
"Maman, those ladies are staring." Damian says. She follows his gaze and winces. Reaching down, she scoops Damian into her arms and holds him close to her.
“Are you okay, love?” Bruce asks, letting go of her hand and pulling her into him by her waist.
“I’m fine. I just know them, and I’m hoping they don’t recognize you. She’s a reporter who isn’t great at taking no for an answer. And the other is a pathological liar whose biggest targets are celebrities.” She mumbles, in an attempt to not alert the boys that she was uncomfortable. She didn’t want to ruin their day out.
“They sound awful.” He says, and she snorts.
“You have no idea.” She mumbles, grinning at Damian who starts poking her cheek. “What, minou?”
“They are moving in.” He says. She glances over her shoulder and realizes he’s right.
“How do you wanna do this?” She asks Bruce, not sure if he’s willing to deal with this kind of thing today.
“Together.” He says simply. She grins, and slows down slightly to allow Alya and Lila to catch up to them.
“Marinette?” Alya calls. Taking in a deep breath, Marinette plasters on a faux smile and turns to face the woman.
“Alya? Hi.” She says.
“Well, are you going to introduce us?” She asks, fingers twitching towards her phone. Marinette glances at Jason and Dick to see what they think, and has to suppress her laugh at the looks on their faces. Both boys looked like they were trying to act like perfect angels, yeah right.
“Of course, sorry. Bruce, this is Alya and Lila. We went to school together. Alya, Lila, this is my boyfriend Bruce.” She says. Bruce smiles.
“Nice to meet you.” He says, nodding at them instead of shaking Lila’s extended hand.
“Are you American?” Lila asks, and Marinette resists the urge to groan. Here comes the lies.
“Yes.” Bruce says.
“That’s so cool! My boyfriend is from America, too. We’ve been talking about me moving there, you know. He’s actually very important. He’s a CEO.” She says, and Bruce nods politely. Marinette glances at Jason, noticing the annoyance on his face.
“Well, it’s been nice seeing you guys, but I promised Jason that I’d take him to Notre Dame.” Marinette says, starting to inch away.
“And who is Jason?” Lila asks, a wicked glint in her eye.
“My son.” Marinette says without hesitation, her eyes becoming steely as she glares.
“Awww, hi Jason!” Lila coos, reaching out for Damian’s cheek. Damian hits her hand and glares at her.
“I’m Damian.” He huffs.
“I’m Jason.” Jason says, frowning at Lila.
“Oh! Really.” She says.
“Yes, now I hate to leave but
” Marinette trails off.
“Oh, go, go. I’m sure we’ll see you again!” Alya says with a grin. Marinette keeps her faux smile on her face until they’re far enough away. Letting her face drop into a scowl, she glances at Bruce.
“That wasn’t as bad as I’d expected.” She says and Bruce snorts.
“Me neither, if I’m being honest. I’d expected far worse.” He says.
“I prefer Tim.” Damian says suddenly, making Marinette snort with laughter.
“What?” Bruce asks, a look of bewilderment on his face.
“We found Tim when he was watching us in the park. And now Lila and Alya were watching us. He prefers Tim, which, I agree completely, minou.” Marinette says, grinning at him. The thought of Tim makes her frown, and she makes a mental note to talk to Adrien about him later.
---
“What can I do for you, Bugaboo?” Adrien asks, grinning at her from across the table.
“How do I go about getting evidence to get a child out of a home where they’re being emotionally and mentally abused?” She asks, and Adrien’s face immediately turns serious. She knew it would. After everything with his dad when he was younger, he became a social worker and advocate for victims of emotional and mental abuse.
“It’s not one of your kids, right?” He asks and she shakes her head.
“No, but if things go as planned, he’ll become one of ours.” She says and Adrien snorts.
“Who knew that Bruce Wayne’s adoption problem was contagious.” He laughs and her eyes widen.
“You know he’s a Wayne?” She gasps.
“Of course I do. I don’t live under a rock like some people.” He teases and she huffs.
“Listen, so I don’t know celebrities? Big deal.”
“Mmhmm. Now, how do you know the kid?” He asks. Marinette smiles, nervously.
“He’s kind of our neighbor.” She says. Adrien raises an eyebrow.
“Like, a neighbor to Wayne Manor?” He asks. She nods.
“I couldn’t save you, Adrien. But I can save Tim. I can help him like no one helped you.” She says softly. Adrien takes a deep breath, before nodding, shuffling through his papers.
“Okay, so here’s what you’re gonna do.”
---
“How interested in museums are you?” Marinette asks the boys as they sit around, eating a light snack.
“Depends on what’s in it. Most of the time, they’re fine.” Dick says with a shrug.
“Are you suggesting we go to the Louvre? ‘Cause if you are, I totally agree.” Jason says with a wide grin. Damian nods.
“Sounds adequate.” He says. Marinette blinks.
“Your vocabulary frightens me, minou.” She says, grinning at the smile on her youngest’s face.
“Thank you.” He says, and she snorts.
“Well then, I’ll text your dad so that he and Alfred can join us once Alfred’s train gets in.” Marinette says, pulling out her phone and sending a quick text.
“What’s your favorite exhibit?” Jason asks as they leave the little cafe and head towards the museum. Marinette hums in thought, running through her mind as she thinks back.
“A few years ago, they had a costume design exhibit. It only stayed for a month, but it was amazing.” She gushes. “As for the permanent exhibits, I’d say either the Grande Galerie or the gardens.”
“I kinda want to check out the sculptures.” Dick says. Marinette grins.
“Of course! Oh, there should also be a pretty interesting scroll in the Egyptian exhibit right now.” She adds.
“What is it?” Jason asks and she smiles.
“You’ll see.” She promises, laughing at Jason’s groan.
“You’re killing me, M.” He says. Though her heart clenches, she just throws her arm over his shoulders and sighs.
“I’m sure you’ll survive the last five feet to the door.” Marinette teases.
“Maman.” Damian huffs. She glances down at him, raising an eyebrow at his annoyed face. Following his gaze, she resists the urge to sigh. Apparently, he was going to be huffy when she gave anyone else attention today. Lovely.
“Come here minou.” She says, scooping him up and adjusting him on her hip. Once he’s settled, (she ignores the triumphant grin on his face), she throws her arm back over Jason’s shoulder and guides her boys into one of her favorite museums.
---
“No, but I know that it looks like- oh, hello Alfred!” Marinette pauses her rambling to give Alfred a quick hug.
“Evening, Miss.” Alfred says, his eyes shining with a wide smile that doesn’t quite reach his lips.
“Did you have a nice day in England?” She asks.
“Indeed. It was even better knowing that your boys weren’t home alone with the kitchen.” He says, and she snorts as everyone else shouts their objections.
“I don’t blame you one bit. Every time I’m in my apartment, all I can think of is the probability that someone has set something on fire back at the Manor.” She says and he grins.
“No need to worry, Miss. They’ve officially been banned. They’re only allowed in the room if you’re with them.” He says flatly. She laughs, the offended look on the kids’ faces adding fuel to the fire. Marinette sighs in content as Bruce wraps an arm around her waist and presses a kiss to her cheek as he walks up to their group.
“B! Look at this.” Jason exclaims, grabbing his hand and yanking him forward. Marinette grins at the shock on his face as he looks at the papyrus.
“How old is the Ladybug mantle?” He asks, and she shrugs.
“I’m not sure. I haven’t studied it for a long time.” She says, leaving some blanks that she knows he’ll fill himself. She’d distanced herself from the Miraculous after the final battle. And though she’d had questions when she was fighting Hawkmoth, she hadn’t really asked them. She’d been too focused on fighting. Still, she made a mental note to talk to Tikki about it later. It was a good question.
“Some say that the Ladybug mantle has been around since at least 1400 BCE. Though I’m partial to the legend that the mantle actually came to be at the beginning of Earth itself.” A man says, poking into the conversation. Marinette frowns slightly, sure she knows him, but unable to recognize him. Unless-
“Jalil?” Marinette says, the man blinks at her, frowning.
“Do I- wait. Marinette? Marinette Dupain Cheng?” He says, she nods and he smiles. “Nice to see you again, Marinette. I see this exhibit is still one of your favorites?”
“Oh yes. And as this is their first time at a festival featuring the heroes, I thought it would be good to show them some of the legends behind them.” She says.
“Fantastic! You know, Ladybug herself came and studied this papyrus once.” He says.
“Really?” Jason asks, glancing at her.
“Yes! She also stopped a human sacri-”
“OKAY! Thank you, Jalil, but little ears.” She says. Sure the boys could handle it, but she didn’t want Damian’s new bedtime story to be ‘the time Maman stopped a human sacrifice’. Doesn’t exactly sound peaceful.
“Right, sorry. Did any of you have any questions that I could answer?” He asks with a small smile.
“Do you think Ladybug is a person?” Jason asks and Marinette resists the urge to flick him. She had told Jason and Dick all about Jalil’s akuma form and now she was regretting it.
“I do. I didn’t use to, but after more research and everything that came out a few years ago, I do believe that while there is a Ladybug mantle, there is just a normal woman underneath. Now I do think that using a Miraculous gives users access to the gods, and there are plenty of pieces in here to back that up.” Jalil says, gesturing to several different pieces.
“Hmm.” Jason says, nodding. He starts to open his mouth to say something else, but Marinette nudges him gently.
“Thank you, so much, Jalil. Would you say hi to Alix for me?” She asks, and an exasperated smile falls onto his face.
“If I can get her to answer her phone! She’s traveling right now, but she hardly ever has her phone on her.” He complains. She laughs, but it sounds hollow in her ears. Why wasn’t Alix answering? Was she stuck in the time stream? Did she need help? Marinette feels a weight drop in her stomach as the realization hits her: Ladybug may need to come out of retirement.

Found Family [scenes pt 13]
(In this au, Gabriel isn't hawkmoth. He's a devoted father to Adrien and though he tends to be a bit controlling, it's only because he lost his wife in an accident. Since then, Gabriel tries to protect Adrien in every way)
Tim: ...Hey fe?
Felix: yes love?
Tim: I just realized...
Felix: *humming*
Tim: Marinette always ends up attracting people with parent issues...
Felix: *stopped humming* and?
Tim: Is that because of tikki or is that just cause she's motherly or did she become motherly because of the people she attracted
Kim: She's always been motherly. It's definitely tikki
Nino: *frowns* But she's attracted people with parent issues before too... maybe it's just her
Tim: *snapping his fingers* I got it! Parent-issue children are attracted to her naturally because she's like a mother!
Chloe: *painting her nails* Dupain-Cheng is a disaster, so how is she like a mother?
Damian: The angel isn't as much as a disaster as our mothers so there's that I guess
Tim: ...but then there's all these people that want to adopt her
Chloe: *hums* My mom wanted her as a daughter
Luka: *strumming his guitar* Jagged wants her to be part of the family, he's just begging Melody's grandmother to adopt him to be honest
Adrien: Dad was pretty much ready to support us when he thought we were interested in each other. Then I came out as gay, and Mari was ready to throw hands
Tim: what? why?
Adrien: Dad was moping around, bug thought that he was ashamed of me but it turns out he was just sad that he couldn't claim her as family
Adrien: he's super overprotective of her. To the point where he's always criticizing Hawkmoth's akuma and threatening them online.
Felix: I'm just worried for Netta when she outs herself as MDC.
Adrien & Chloe: *shivers* Mom/Dad would promote the shit out of MDC
Tim: *humming* I think Bruce would also promote her
Luka: *strumming another note on his guitar* not to mention Jagged
Nino: Clara would too.. and prince Ali... And Chef Shifu, her uncle... Not to mention her other celebrity connections
Kim: Now that I think about it, it was pretty stupid of us to believe Lila. Marinette knew all those people, if Lila was so close to them obviously Marinette would know
Nino: *shivering* man I just feel bad for the rest of our classmates
Alix: *kicking the door open with Marinette on her shoulder* Guess who didn't sleep!
Felix: *groans* Caramel...
Tim: *sighing and getting Marinette from Alix* I'll cuddle with her to get her to sleep
Felix: I'll do your work for you
Chloe: I'll help!

The urge to write a broken and angsty Marinette who became a villain in Gotham after being kicked out of Paris. (P.S Hawkmoth is defeated and the Order forced her to hand the Miraculouses over.)
She had been causing trouble in Gotham for a while and the Bats know that she used to an ex-hero but couldn't find which one.
Anyways, Marinette gets dragged into the hero business as Ladybug because of some world-domination obsessed people who the Order used to tangled with in the past so they are making it everyone's problem. The Order is working with the JL to defeat the WDO people.
And Ladybug to her dismay realised that the other holders the Order had chosen were her old classmates (Class salt because of Lila. She is holding the Butterfly and being HM 2.0.)
Adrien is Chat Noir again and very happy to see his milady again (Adrien salt for the angst)
They all don't know that LB is Marinette who they had condemned with the exception of Kagami and Luka who are in the know.
Upon realising this, she makes detour and walked towards the Bat clan. Better the devil you know. Although they were on guard about this new/old hero who joins them, they relax a little when she gives them her villain name. (Also with proof that she is who she says she is.) She is more of an antihero and kinda friends with a few of them.
Ladybug makes a believable lie that she lost her memories of Paris and threaten the Order so they wouldn't disprove it. She hangs out with the Bats when they are not on missions so the Miraculous team is mad that she's hanging out with the Bats instead of them with the exception of Kagami and Luka.
Also they all had revealed their identities to one another and Ladybug is the only one who hasn't and they really want to solve the mystery of who it is. Especially Chat Noir. Kagami and Luka ain't snitching, knowing the shit the rest of them put Marinette through.
The Bats even though Marinette is a Gotham Rouge, they are also ain't snitching (because she knows who they are) and not budging on letting the Miraculous team get near LB. Because they know that the Miraculous team are part of the reason Marinette gets kicked out of Paris. Whatever they did to Marinette was probably so fucked up that she prefers Gotham of all places over Paris, the literal city of Love.
Also sprinkle in some enemies to lover between Damian and Marinette.
*peeks into my WIPs and pets my bio!dad Joker AU.* Soon my pet. Soon.

How to Not Get a Date Pt13
Beginning   Previous   Next
School on Monday was tense. They passed Lila whispering to their old classmates a few times and her smirk was putting Chloe on edge. Marinette was dead on her feet from spending the entire night going through news footage of Lila to try and see if there was more to it than the girl being an attention whore, so she wasn’t conscious enough to be disturbed by it at least.
When they were done for the day, Damian was waiting for them. Mari had fallen asleep in their last class so she was currently piggybacking Chloe. Given the way he tilted his head, Damian had no idea what to do with that. Chloe made her way over to his but before she could ask him why he was there, the liar’s voice sounded from the door they’d just walked out of.
“Oh yes, Dami came to Paris just to be closer to me. He’s such a devoted fiancĂ©.” Oh dear Kwami, she should have seen that coming. As soon as it became common knowledge that Damian Wayne was in Paris, of course Lila would latch onto it like the parasite she was. Damian looked like he was about to commit murder, and as much as she’d love to see it, she couldn’t let that happen. She dumped Mari on his back before he could object.
“You may want to think about the consequences of claiming intimacy with someone with enough money to buy governments.” Lila sneered at her before giving her hangers on a pathetic, teary look. Some things never changed.
“I don’t know why you always try to make everyone believe I don’t know the people I do. Maybe if you were a nicer person the celebrities who have to interact with you might actually like you the way they do me. Well, except my Dami. He always tells me I’m the only one he’ll ever love.” Everyone who wasn’t glaring at her awed at Lila’s words. She really hated this school.
“The fuck I did you lying harlot! I may have moved here because of a girl but it sure as hell wasn’t you.” Chloe could only stare at him in shock and watched his face go blank when he realized what he said. She didn’t register the whispering behind her until Alix’s voice shattered the muted buzz.
“Holy shit, he is Damian Wayne.” The murmurs just got louder. Lila looked to be on the verge of panic until an evil grin took over her expression. That was not good.
“I can’t believe Marinette went after my Dami after I told her about us in confidence. I thought we were finally making some progress.” Lila burst into fake sobbing and everyone either consoled her or yelled at them. Chloe wished she was surprised at Lila’s misdirection, instead she was pissed at herself for not realizing she would push this on Mari in any way she could manage.
“You’re all brainless cretins if you believe that she ever dated me. First I would never sully myself with that.” Damian’s sneer was impressive, though it lost a little of it’s intimidation factor since Mari chose that moment to let out a small snore. “Second, she didn’t even recognize me. Not today and not when she tried to threaten me in Miss Dupain-Cheng’s family bakery.” That got a few furrowed brows but Lila let out a particularly pathetic whimper.
“You said you wanted to keep us a secret for now, I was just trying to honor that. I didn’t realize you were cheating on me.” Damian tried to speak again but the rest of the sheep were talking too loudly and no one was going to pay attention to him.
“How can they believe that tripe when she was just boasting about being my fiancĂ©.” The disdain in his voice on the last word brought a small smile to Chloe’s face. It was nice to have another person who loathed Lila openly. “I’m going to hit that snake with so many lawsuits everything she ever makes will be the property of Wayne Enterprises.”
“Go for it. Hopefully the bad press will be enough for her mother to remove her from Paris. It would certainly solve a lot of problems.”
“What’s going on?” Of course Mari chose that moment to wake up. She was still trying to rub the sleep out of her eyes when the idiots turned and started yelling at her. She just blinked at them sleepily given that they were yelling over one another. Chloe was beyond annoyed that this was so normal it didn’t even phase Mari.
“You stole Lila’s fiancĂ©!” Oh great, Alya found her voice.
“What fiancĂ©?” Mari wasn’t awake enough to hide the disbelief in her tone and the other’s bristled.
“Oh I don’t know, maybe the boy you’re hanging all over.” The confusion on her face was far more amusing than it should have been. Mari looked at her and did a double take. She could see the moment Mari realized she wasn’t on her back. The horrified expression that took over her face when she saw it was Damian she was attached to would have been funny if Chloe didn’t know she’d be paying for this later. She started to stutter out a response, but Damian spoke over her.
“Who I do or do not date is none of your damn business. Though given the options Miss Dupain-Cheng is far superior to that lying, narcissistic pile of excrement.” There was dead silence. It was hard to figure out who was more shocked by the words, but she’d be willing to bet it was Damian.
“This is going on my blog. By the end of the day everyone in Paris will know what you did to Lila.” Mari let out a sigh but Damian rolled his eyes.
“If you want to go against Wayne Enterprise’s legal teams it’s your funeral. You post anything about me, let alone something so blatantly false, you will be put down like a dog. And since you’ve obviously combined Miss Dupain-Cheng’s life with mine, for no reason I might add, she will be under the protection of our lawyers as well.” Damian stared down the wannabe journalist until she turned away. The others all muttered their discontent but they all walked away without saying anything they could understand.
“That was
 I didn’t think they
Thank you.” It had been awhile since Mari couldn’t find her words and she and Damian both had a flush in their faces. As he set her down they refused to make eye contact.
“It was necessary.”
That night every tabloid in Europe and America was running a story about Damian Wayne’s love triangle. Marinette was named, but Lila wasn’t. This started a flurry of correspondence between Bruce Wayne and Audrey Bourgeois. The results of that communication were
 less than optimal.

Day 4 - Bonding
Today was National Parent’s day. And Marinette’s School was celebrating by Calling their child’s parents to the School, Where they were going to talk about some Fond memories. Now Marinette’s Parents were in California for a Baking contest. And her Dad couldn’t come either because he lived all the way in Gotham. She had vaguely mentioned it on their daily calls. Everyone’s parents were here. All except hers. Even Gabriel Agreste was there!
At this moment everyone was playing a game of truths. They had to say what they genuinely thought of a classmate.
“Marinette, It’s your turn!” Miss bustier called out. She vaguely nodded and descended down. “Where are your parents?”
“They’re in California for a baking competition” She answered glumly. The teacher nodded and gave her a slip. Lila. She had to tell about Lila! That was easy!
“Lila rossi.” Bustier called out. Everyone’s eyes were on her.
“If I were stuck in a room with Lila and Hawkmoth, and I had a gun with two bullets. I’d shoot Lila twice. She’s a devil. I’m not sure if they’d kill her. Probably more than two bullets will be needed. And My brothers are police officers so I aim well. I’d shoot the devil’s head twice without missing!” She said glowing with excitement. Everyone’s jaw dropped. Lila began shaking with fear. Gabriel managed to say “Oh dear lord!”
Then there was a snort. “You’ve been spending too much time with Jason haven’t you?” She knew that voice. It was her dad Bruce! Her jaw dropped and she just stared at him not finding words to say.
“M-Mr. Wayne, What are you doing here?” Bustier asked.
“Today was Parents day, and this is her last year in Lycee, So I thought I could make it special.” He simply answered.
“Wait, don’t tell me -” Gabriel started.
“Yep, Marinette’s mine and Sabine’s Daughter.” He answered.
That snapped Marinette out of her thoughts. She began tearing up and quickly launched herself at him. “You came, You freaking came!” She said, her voice raspy.
“Of course I did. Tom and Sabine weren’t here so I came. Now what have I said about comparing lila to a devil?” He asked, trying to cheer her up.
“Not to. She’s more than a devil.” She said, chuckling. That earned Gasps.
“You can’t insult me, Mr. Whoever you are! Do you know who I am?!” Lila asked with her shrill voice. Jaws dropped. Everyone began thinking didn’t she say she was dating Damian wayne.
“Of course I do, you’re Lila rossi, the one who’s threatened my daughter multiple times, The one who says fake fantasy tales, I mean how are you that stupid! My daughter designs Jagged stone! You are also the makeup master, you draw fake makeup bruises to accuse my daughter! I know who you are alright. But do you know who I am?” Her father asked. Jaws dropped when he said that.
“Hmm, let me see a scumbag?” Lila says her facade is totally gone.
“No wrong answer. I am Bruce wayne. Expect Lawsuits on Slander and Harassment.” He says chuckling. Lila Pales. Runs away.
“Now as I was saying,I’m a busy man, yet I make time for my children.
We do bonding trips together once a year. I take a day off to spend time with my children many times.
With Dick or Richard, We go bakery scouting. We taste every treat. With Jason, We just sat and Bicker. With Tim, I go Photography with him. He loved to go Birds and Bats watching when he was a kid(Vigilante stalking). With Damian, We go to the Animal Shelter. The way his eyes light up whenever we go, It’s fascinating. With Stephanie, She might be Tim’s girlfriend but I adopted her in the End, She teaches me how to play pranks. With Cassandra, We go to watch Dance Shows. With Barbara? Then again she might not be my kid, but commissioner gordon’s but still. We go shoe shopping. She has a whole walk in the Shoe Closet! With Duke, He’s my Business partner’s kid. He’s a sweet Innocent Cinnamon roll. We go to Watch Movies. With marinette, She lectures me on how these are different types of fabrics.
I might be a busy man. Doesn’t mean you need to ignore your children. Once you grow apart It’s hard to be close again.
One word to describe my Family, for others might be rich, For me Chaotic.
Everyone in my family has weird Habits. Dick Likes to Climb Chandeliers. Jason likes to get Death notes. Tim Stays up all night. When he was a kid he used to Stalk Batman and Robin. He’s a Fan. Damian likes to chase Every one with Katanas. He also likes to take in any animal he finds. Example a Cow and a Goliath. We have a Mansion just for his Pets. Stephanie likes to collect every Purple thing she finds. Cassandra moves in shadows scaring every guest. Barbara Likes to do modifications to her Wheelchairs. Duke likes to go Maze hunting. And Marinette, She Coffee Talks, Whenever she’s under the Influence of Coffee, She talks only the Truth.
Sometimes I end up taking my kids to work. And every single time I end up losing them.
I usually find Dick in the middle of a crowd in Cafeteria doing tricks. Jason’s always found in the corner of a library. I usually find Tim lecturing in some meetings, And employees nodding along! That was a long time ago. I don’t need to find Cass, She’s the only Sane person in the Family. To find Stephanie, Follow the Trail of Pranks. Duke’s usually in his father’s study with Barbara. Marinette usually is found with an employee talking. Damian is found Pissing Employees out.
My children Do the weirdest things. I love them. One Time Jason let a three year old marinette drive my Car!”
“Hey that was one time!” Both Jason and Marinette shouted.
“Now I must get Going.” And that’s how Bruce Wayne Exposed Lila Rossi. With recollection of old Bonding Trips.

Can you do an part 3 on Fear Me? Even though Lila had told the school why don't you just make Marinette to put a curse just like you made her do it on Gabriel but ten times worst that she will not lie again. But also expose this to the broadcast or maybe send an anonmyous about Bustier Enabler and Damocles not his job.
The problem is that Mari doesn’t see Lila as a real threat. She will not use her magic, which she has been taught is sacred and only to be used when absolutely necessary, for petty means. Lila, in this, does not help Gabriel, so she doesn’t care about the lies. She could care less about the class, and the school in general. She threatens Lila because she refused to let her dirty Damian’s name when she knows how highly he thinks of it. So in short, Marinette won’t curse Lila because a petty attention seeking liar is not worth the importance and energy it takes to perform a powerful or really any curse.
