#DairyQueen #DairyQueenBlizzardTreat#DairyQueenSummerBlizzardMenuPicnicPeachCobbler #BlizzardTreat #FastFoodDessertReview
I tried the Dairy Queen Summer Blizzard Menu Picnic Peach Cobbler Blizzard Treat Mini Size and it was pretty good.
This blizzard was creamy and tasted like a fresh peach fruit taste while having tiny peach pieces.
These peaches were firm and soft in texture.
These had these cobbler pie pieces crunchy like rectangle and square pieces in the blizzard that gave this blizzard texture.
The ice cream was lightly peach flavored.
This was sweet but not overly sweet to me.
I would eat this again.
The calories if you need them.

Cosmere Characters' Favorite Fast Food Restaurants
As requested by @sharks-musket :)
I've done food-related Cosmere posts in the past, such as "Rock reviews food from across the Cosmere" or "Cosmere characters review food not native to their planet" or "What Cosmere characters would order at Subway".
But for today, let's consider what characters' favorite fast food restaurants would be, if such things existed in their universe.
1. Shallan: Five Guys
I cannot possibly improve on the joke that @epicmilly has already made: https://www.tumblr.com/epicmilly/762060066847424512/could-you-do-cosmere-characters-try-fast-food?source=share
2. Marasi: Dairy Queen
Steris: I cannot believe you still eat here. Steris: Multiple people have gotten food poisoning from the food! Marasi (looking up from the Blizzard she is going to town on): They have food here?
3. Kelsier: In-N-Out
Kelsier: I'm not gonna lie. I'm a sucker for any restaurant with a secret menu. Dockson: It's straight-up published these days, though. Kelsier: Well sure. There's no point to a secret that never gets out!
4. Hrathen: In-N-Out
Hrathen: I don't know how effective it is, but I appreciate that this restaurant prints verses from its holy text onto its packaging. Hrathen: I mean, it's the wrong holy text, but... Hrathen: [looks over to where Dilaf is standing on a table, ranting loudly] Hrathen: Some people take that more personally than others.
5. Lift: Sonic
Lift: They got tons of milkshakes, which is fun. Lift: But mostly I like all the carhops who glide around all graceful like! Lift: I haven't seen even ONE scooting around on their butt! Lift: That's how you KNOW it's a stormin' quality place.
6. Adolin: Wendy's
Adolin: I support redheaded women in business! Shallan: ... Shallan: That should sound so cheesy, but somehow it works when you say it.
7. Steris: Arby's
Steris: I think more restaurants should have slogans that simply state what food they have. Steris: "I'm loving it"? Presumptuous. "Have it your way"? Yes, that is how restaurants work. "Quality is our recipe"? That is not how recipes work. Steris: But "We have the meats"? Now THAT'S a slogan that tells you something about a place! Steris: ... Steris: What do you think? That's my Arby's routine. Wax: I think it's going to be a hit at the party!
8. Lopen: Taco Bell
Lopen: Not as good as chouta, but they have their own type of wrapped meats that are pretty good! Lopen: Best eaten drunk, if we're being honest.
9. Vin: KFC
Vin: You can get a BUCKET of chicken. Vin: It's a great food to chow down on while you're sitting perched on a roof in the darkness. Elend: I love you so much.
10. Wayne: Subway
Wayne: I order my accountants to eat there at least once a week to learn their business practices. Wayne: They made their $5 sandwich $14 for no reason! Wayne: That's the kinda business sense I wanna see in my guys. Daring: Great news! Your "This Sandwich Is Overprice Don't Buy It" campaign was a huge success! Call: People thought it was hilarious. They're selling like, well, like your overpriced sandwiches (since nothing is selling better). Wayne: Harmony DAMN IT!
11. Nightblood: McDonald's
Nightblood: I like how focused this restaurant is on slaying evil! Nightblood: There's the evil clown, the evil burglar guy, the evil purple guy, the evil guy with a burger for a head... Nightblood: They really promote lots of characters that need to be slain! Szeth: ...I sometimes doubt your ability to detect evil, Sword-nimi, but in this case, I know you are correct. Nightblood: Thanks! Nightblood: Wait, what was that first part?
12. Kaladin: Burger King
Kaladin: A lot of these restaurants have weird stuff, like a "Big Mac" or a "Prezel Baconator" or a "Doritos Locos Tacos." Kaladin: I like this place because it has "fiery chicken fries." Kaladin: Spicy. Made of a recognizable animal like a chicken. Fried. Kaladin: It all makes sense. It's all clear. Syl: [making her face look like the chicken on the box] Syl: This chicken sure is angry! Kaladin: It probably didn't want to be fried.
13. Dalinar: Burger King
Dalinar: The Way of Kings changed my life, and I feel that this restaurant, The Burger of Kings, will surely do the same. Adolin (in the tones of someone saying this for the umpteenth time): It's called Burger King. Dalinar (ignoring him): Already I ponder the deep philosophical implications of "Have It Your Way," which forces one to consider how every individual person has their own "way," their own journey, and must accept it. Adolin: Yes...I'm sure that's exactly what they were going for. Dalinar (peacefully munching fries): You doubted my visions at first, too.

"i can be your little dairy queen." | clyde
meet me in the pale moonlight. - lana del rey
summary: you work at a fast food joint, and one night you happen to stumble across clyde
Tumblr media
waitress!reader x clyde
word count: 937
contents: highschool love type of thing (reader and clyde are teenagers)
Tumblr media
it was nearly midnight, and clyde was lying on the grass looking at the dark blue sky. he watched as life went on around him, seeing how beautiful everything was from a stoner’s perspective. the city was illuminated with lights that were bound to light up one’s soul.
but one little building in particular caught his eye. “diner” it read in bright red light-up letters. it looked like one that you’d stumble across in the 70s. it had a warm, comfortable feel to it, and that was only from the outside. there was something that drew clyde to the diner. he couldn’t take his eyes off of the big, cursive letters. so he hopped on his board and rode down the street to it.
you were the only one working that night, and you were exhausted. you glanced at the time, the clock reading 11:43. you mopped the checkered tile floor, cleaned off the marble counter, and got a damp rag and started wiping down all the bright red tables. you’d been working all day, so the end of your shift couldn’t arrive quickly enough.
clyde had been peeking through the window, watching as you took care of the entire place by yourself. he was impressed by your work ethic, and mesmerised by your grace and beauty. it was clear that you were good at what you did, and you managed to look good doing it at the same time. he realized that he’d been staring for a while, so he took a deep breath before walking in.
a little bell above the door announced his presence. you sighed, expecting a grumpy customer who couldn’t afford to go anywhere else at this time of night. “welcome to moonlight diner. i’ll be with you in just a-” you turned around and saw clyde standing there with a little smile on his face. he was wearing cargo pants, a flannel, and held a skateboard under his arm. and he had the most beautiful hair you had ever seen.
you suddenly felt very underdressed in your simple red uniform dress and apron. you weren’t used to people like him coming to the diner. it was usually mean girls and their boyfriends making fun of you for having to earn money yourself. he cleared his throat to get you out of your daze. you made eye contact with him. god, those eyes were like blue diamond staring right at you.
you snapped out of it and smiled nervously. “welcome, you can take a seat anywhere and ill be with you in just a moment.” you tried to calm yourself down, but the way he looked at you was driving you insane. he smiled and sat down in a little booth in the corner of the room. he watched as you walked behind the counter, getting a menu before walking back to him.
you placed in on the table right in front of him, smiling. “here’s your menu, sir. i’ll give you a moment.” you turned to start walking away, but he started speaking. “that’s alright actually. you can pick my order tonight.” he said this like it was the most casual thing in the world. you didn’t question him and went straight to the kitchen.
he was attractive in such an effortless way. he seemed so real compared to everyone else you saw everyday. you didn’t know what he’d be interested in, so you decided to make him your specialty. a strawberry milkshake with whipped cream and heart-shaped sprinkles. you whipped it up in less than 2 minutes, making sure every last detail was perfect.
then you had an idea. it was a little bold, but you knew that this was probably going to be your only chance. you grabbed a napkin from the side and wrote something in red pen. you put the napkin and milkshake on a tray, carefully carrying it over to him. he was playing with his hair when you arrived.
you gently set the napkin down, putting the milkshake on top to hide your little message. clyde thanked you and smiled. but it was such a warm and welcoming smile that you felt your heart melting just from that little gesture. then you left him alone, going into the kitchen and hiding behind the door and watching him through the foggy window.
you saw him drain the entire thing quickly, and he looked happy. you were over the moon that he liked what you made for him. then he picked up the napkin to wipe his mouth, and that was when he saw it. he read to message to himself. “meet me tomorrow in the parking lot. 7:00pm sharp.” and you drew a little smiley face.
he looked toward the kitchen and you ducked down, hoping that he didn’t see you. you noticed that he still hadn’t left after a minute, so you thought that something was wrong. then you heard the bell ding. he had left. you rushed out of the kitchen and went to his table to collect the glass. he had left a $50 bill on the table. very generous tip considering the shake was only $4.99.
you started thinking that he discarded your invite, making your heart sink. at least you tried, but something about being rejected like this made your body ache. you took the glass and the bill, seeing some messy writing on the back of it. your heart leaped with joy as you read what it said. “it’s a date. see you tomorrow!!” and to top it off, he drew a little smiley face, matching yours.

cartman also does food review streams and on takes twitter requests for what he should review next but ignores all suggestions and just does whatever he wants. it’s usually new menu items at dairy queen or crumbl cookie and he gives them a thumbs down for reasons like i don’t like blueberries” or “this packaging is ugly”

I had to look up the fuckin MENU for this
Assuming this is like. Ice cream only, I don’t care about their actual food.
Eries: caramel sundae
Kas: probably something needlessly extra, like the salted caramel truffle blizzard or some shit
Cypress: hot fudge sundae
Glory: can’t eat but would probably enjoy m&ms, so m&m blizzard

I have so many thoughts on fast food restaurants. In terms of affordability McDonalds will always reign supreme but in terms of quality Wendy’s wins but as for diverse menu options/quality of product/speed I truly think Dairy Queen wins. I should make a excel sheet on this

National Cheddar Fries Day
Crunchy on the outside, fluffy on the inside - cheddar fries are a savory sensation! Whether dipped in ketchup or smothered in cheese sauce, these fries are a satisfying snack.
There’s something so incredibly delicious and deeply American about a big huge pile of french fries that is smothered in cheddar cheese sauce and piled high! Whether eaten as an appetizer or as a whole meal, cheddar fries have the power to bring quite a bit of delight to any table of friends or family members.
Now, Cheddar Fries Day is here to pay honor and respect to this simple and appetizing bit of American cuisine.
History of National Cheddar Fries Day
National Cheddar Fries Day got its official start in 2016 by a restaurant called Snuffer’s in the state of Texas. Though no one is quite sure when this dish got its start, it was certainly created somewhere in the United States. Putting cheese on french fried potatoes to make cheddar fries, or cheese fries, may have originated around the time that the American company, Kraft, released a product called Cheez Whiz in 1953. This was a processed cheese food that made it possible to have a saucier kind of melted cheese in a jar or can.
Chili cheese fries, which are basically cheddar fries that incorporate chili as well, have a story of having been invented at a Dairy Queen restaurant in Missouri by a man named Austin Ruse. But it is known that chili cheese fries could be sourced in the frozen food section of grocery stores as early as 1975.
In today’s world, cheddar fries are served at all sorts of different locally owned restaurants as well as national chains, from fast food to diner-style to casual family dining restaurants. They might come with just cheese or chili and cheese. Or they might be “loaded” up with bacon bits, green onions and sour cream. Some of the well-known places that serve a version of cheddar fries might include Steak ‘n Shake, Wendy’s, Arby’s, Shake Shack and many others.
National Cheddar Fries Day Timeline
1600s French Fries get their start
Deceivingly, the first fries were made in the country of Belgium, where the French language is spoken.
1934 Steak ‘n Shake is first opened
Founded in Normal, Illinois, Steak ‘n Shake will eventually become an American icon for fries, specializing in cheddar cheese fries.
1953 Cheez Whiz is introduced
This canned, whipped cheese by Kraft makes it easier to put cheese on just about anything!
1978 Snuffer’s Restaurant & Bar serves Cheddar Fries
This Dallas diner adds cheddar fries to its menu and will eventually found National Cheddar Fries Day decades later.
2016 First National Cheddar Fries Day is celebrated
Getting its start at Snuffer’s restaurant in Texas, the first National Cheddar Fries Day takes place.
How to Celebrate National Cheddar Fries Day
Get on board with all sorts of fun ways to celebrate and enjoy National Cheddar Fries Day when you participate in some these delicious and delightful activities:
Head Out for Some Cheddar Fries
Take the opportunity to celebrate National Cheddar Fries Day by ordering some up at a restaurant. Those who are near the Dallas, Texas, area might want to try out Snuffer’s Restaurant & Bar, the original restaurant where National Cheddar Fries Day was founded. In fact, Snuffer’s also claims to be one of the creators of the original “cheddar fries” and their recipe includes cheddar cheese, with the option of adding bacon, chives and jalapenos for an even more scrumptious experience.
Get Creative with Cheddar Fries
Making a version of cheddar fries or cheese fries at home is an amazing way to get creative with those culinary skills in the kitchen. Start out with some basic french fried potatoes, whether starting from frozen or fresh. Then fry them in oil or bake them in the oven.
The most important factor for cheddar fries is, obviously, the cheese, but beyond that it’s easy to make things interesting and unique in honor of Cheddar Fries Day. Try out some of these creative ideas for making cheddar fries at home:
Mexican Cheese Fries. In addition to cheese sauce, pile french fries with beef taco meat, black beans, zesty jalapenos, and a delicious lime yogurt sauce.
Texas Cheese Fries. This copycat recipe comes from Chili’s restaurant and starts with a big batch of chili in the crockpot. Pile it on top of fries with cheese sauce, bacon, pickled jalapenos and topped off with ranch dressing.
Kimchi and Chorizo Fries. Tasty with a healthy kick, these loaded fries have cheese sauce, spicy chorizo, fermented kimchi and green onions.
Sloppy Joe Sweet Potato Cheddar Fries. Make things a bit more interesting when you use sweet potato fries instead of regular fries, and then add Sloppy Joe meat, cheddar cheese and chives. A super tasty twist on an American classic.
Learn Some Fun Facts About Cheddar and Fries
In honor of National Cheddar Fries Day, it might be fun to raise awareness and pique the interest of family members and friends by learning and sharing some unique and interesting fun facts about the elements of this dish. Have a go with some of these bits of trivia:
Cheddar cheese comes in a few different interesting varieties. The most common are mild, medium, sharp and extra sharp. But there is also white cheddar, New York style, Orkney Scottish Island Cheddar, and even “red cheddar”, which is really more of a Red Leicester cheese.
French fries don’t seem to have actually originated in France but in Belgium. It is believed they were called French fries because American soldiers first discovered them among the French speaking Belgians.
Cheddar cheese originated in a village in Somerset, England, by the name of Cheddar.
When the restaurant started the price of a portion of McDonald’s French Fries was only ten cents.
Host a Cheddar Cheese Fries Day Party
It’s fun to get people together to celebrate this tasty and delicious treat on National Cheddar Fries Day. Perhaps host a cheddar cheese fries buffet at home as a fun way to enjoy the day. Or, celebrate the day in the breakroom at work by having coworkers bring in different fixings or other items to put on top of the cheddar fries. It’s a cool way to have lunch at work and build camaraderie as well.
Hold a National Cheddar Fries Competition
For those who want to get a bit more competitive, perhaps it would be fun to turn Cheddar Fries Day into a competition. Allow different competitors to bring their favorite recipes for cheddar fries, chili cheddar fries or loaded cheddar fries, and then host a cookoff. Let other participants be judges and declare the winner as the person whose cheddar fries get the most votes. They could win a simple prize, a certificate or just general bragging rights. Of course, since everyone gets to eat cheddar fries on National Cheddar Fries Day, it turns out that everyone wins!
National Cheddar Fries Day FAQs
Are cheddar fries gluten free?

I was gonna make a reply and I forgot to bc I was actively ordering at BK when I reblogged this post but yeah, as a food service worker, I get so mad when my coworkers get pissed at people for. not speaking well. Or struggling with reading.
We have our fair share of idiots who come through. A lady thought that our churro should be $1 because it was under the "starting at one dollar" section of the menu (meaning the items can be anywhere between 1 and 3 dollars plus tax). The churro was $2.19 after tax. She was arguing a dollar and 2 cents difference, held up the line for 30 minutes, and argued with the manager when he wasn't willing to give her a discount. This is not the same as the lady who stuttered the entire time because, as I found out, she has anxiety and was actually super fucking polite and apologetic about it. We should treat these cases different. One of these people was deliberately being a nuisance. One of these people was trying their best to get in, get food, and get out with as little interaction as possible.
The lady who screamed at me in a Dairy Queen Drive Thru because I wiped her Blizzard cup down with a rag she assumed was dirty because I didn't walk all the way to the back for it is not the same as the old lady who handed me a coupon that was expired by 2 months bc she mistook a 6 for an 8.
The man who argued that he deserved a free meal because our card reader was down and he didn't have cash is not the same as the deaf and mute lady who comes in once a week with a notepad and has me write to her to have the interaction.
And I wanna clarify, in all of the harmless mistake scenarios there, I had at least one coworker who was being a bitch about it. "If they have anxiety they should just order online for delivery" "if they can't read they shouldn't go out to eat" "If they're deaf they should have someone else order for them" OR WE CAN BE KIND TO PEOPLE REGARDLESS.
We should start by treating everyone nice not because we're workers and they're customers, but because we're all humans who deserve compassion.
very controversial opinion here, but sometimes customer service workers are the problem 😶

Dupe’s Scoops Owner Grateful for Community's Support
Tumblr media
It was usually one of two tasty frozen treats. The “Cookie Dough Blizzard” always was Luke Duplaga’s first preference when his mother or father would stop at Dairy Queen after working just down the street at the family-owned Generations Restaurant. If he didn’t want to wait the few minutes it takes to blend the Oreo-inspired concoction, a small vanilla cone with crunchies would do the quick trick for the young man. And he remembers those stops. Clearly. “There were times when I just wanted the ice cream,” he said with a broad smile. “I’ve seen the same thing today, too. Some kids just don’t want to wait the extra minutes it takes to make something like our sundae or banana split. They want their ice cream.” Luke began investigating the investment four months ago and he created the Dupe’s Scoops & More Facebook page in early July. He then announced the shop’s reopening later the same month, and once the permitting process was completed, Duplaga opened Dupe’s Scoops on September 10th. Luke has worked at Dupe's every day since opening the shop in the beginning of September, and gradually learning the ways of the business world. “I do love our ice cream, but it’s about more than ice cream,” Luke explained. “It’s really about being in Fulton because this part of Wheeling has been great to my family for a lot of years. Our family has been in Fulton since my great-grandfather owned the Generations property, and most people in town these days remember the Swing Club before it was Generations. “So, when the Dairy Queen closed last year and they put it up for sale, I really started thinking about the possibilities. I knew I wanted a business of my own, and this opportunity seemed perfect,” he said. “Now we have the soft serve and scooped ice cream, and our food menu went live last week, and we’ve had a lot of customers. They come in waves, too.” Luke is one of five children raised by Mike and Alyssa Duplaga, owners and operators of Generations Restaurant & Pub at the base of Wheeling Hill. The eatery opens daily at 9 a.m. for breakfast and remains in operation into the evening hours seven days each week. Live entertainment is a constant on the weekends, and the Duplaga’s offers daily meal and beverage specials all week long. Luke has been a member of Generations management for the past few years, and now plans to work double duty until the cold weather sets in. Dupe's will be open Tuesday through Friday from 3-9 p.m. this week and from Noon until 10 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. “I would love to stay open at Dupe’s for another month, but that’ll depend on the weather. It’s been a warm Fall so far and there’s not been a lot of rain since we opened,” Luke said. “I plan to keep everyone updated on the Facebook page as far as when we’ll be open and for how long. “The time will come when we’ll have to close for the winter, too,” he explained. “My plan for our re-opening next year is St. Patrick’s Day and hopefully we’ll sell plenty of green ice cream.” Luke Duplaga is one of five children raised by Mike and Alyssa Duplaga, owners and operators of Generations Restaurant & Pub. Paving A Path Nine times out of 10, when customers encounter Luke at Generations, he’s wearing that broad smile whether he’s delivering meals, bussing tables, or playing the part of host with the most. The same has been true through the windows at Dupe’s Scoops during his first month of business. “The support from so many people has been amazing, and it’s meant a lot to me emotionally. It really has. I know I had a lot of encouragement when I was getting everything ready for the opening, but it’s been incredible since we opened,” Luke said. “I love what I do at Generations, but Dupe’s Scoops has given more motivation to be successful in business and as a person. It’s given me a great reason to get up in the morning and do something awesome. “It’s hard to explain, but this business will help me become the person I want to be,” he admitted. “I’m exhausted when I go to bed every night, and if I have any questions, I just ask my Dad because he’s done it all. Besides all of the support I’ve received, it’s great to see people coming here because they just love ice cream.” Duplaga has hired a few employees to help with the heavy traffic the business has seen since opening in September. He really didn’t know if they would. Not only are there other soft-serve ice cream operations in the Wheeling area, the area’s little leaguers obviously found a new treat for their postgame celebrations this past spring and summer. “The Dairy Queen didn’t open in the spring and summer, and everyone seemed to be OK about it. I heard about it, yeah, but it just seemed like it was accepted,” Luke said. “But people sure wanted ice cream in Fulton, that’s for sure. Maybe it’s the location, maybe it’s the nostalgia, maybe it’s both. But people most definitely want their ice cream in Fulton. “This is where all the ball teams have come for years, but they didn’t have it this summer and it was something I heard about at the restaurant,” he said. “Hopefully, those teams will come back next year.” Now, his parents have taught him the first rule of business: One. Day. At. A Time. But there’s so much more that Luke must learn for himself. “You have to buy the business and then all of the equipment before you open, sure, but then you have to learn about how to deal with the obstacles and then there’s the learning process about the taxes, the inventory, and the ordering the supplies,” he detailed. “You have to recognize the trends, too. “We’re getting the flow of things and working out the kinks,” Luke insisted. “There’s a lot more to learn, and that’s why I wanted to open while we still have some great weather in the area.” Read the full article

Especially true if it’s a common allergy. I’m allergic to peanuts, and lemme tell you, the amount of people who just don’t think about allergies is. A lot.
There’s a restaurant here in town that just. Has peanuts. Out and about. People can just eat them while they’re waiting! And you know what? We’re lucky I have to eat peanuts to have a reaction, because we didn’t know about that when we went the first time. (I think they may have gotten rid of them now.)
Most banana splits that aren’t from Dairy Queen? Peanuts. No bake cookies? Peanut butter.
Freaking Oreos!? Peanut oil.
Sometimes you can rely on the menu, but let me tell you that I’ve had to double check with a waiter/waitress a lot. Especially if it comes to Asian foods and desserts.
Do not assume that all possible allergens are listed all the time.
I promise you, they’re not. Because most people don’t have to think about them! So they don’t! Which is fine, but it means people like me have to be way more on guard, and you have to ask. You can never just assume that if it’s an allergy that it’s listed, and why on earth would you assume someone is going to know you’re ordering specifically for an allergy!? That’s a great way to end up in the hospital!
Hey real quick PSA: If you have food allergies TELL RESTAURANTS. I know it’s inconvenient and sometimes people are shitty but for real, please, tell waitstaff it’s allergy specific, don’t just order it without the allergy ingredient.
This was brought up in my mind again since my step-MIL would get furious if someone presented her with a food she couldn’t eat with her Crohn’s but she’d never told them in the first place what she couldn’t have or how severe her reactions were.
When I worked at the pizza place a ton of people would order pizzas without cheese for a variety of reasons, but only occasionally would they say it was because of an allergy.
This one day a white lady came in and ordered three pizzas with no cheese. I have no explanation for why I followed up, especially because she was extremely moody and snippy. But I asked, “Is this because of an allergy?”
“Yes,” she snapped.
“If it’s for an allergy you should know we do use a small amount of cheese in the red sauce as well. Is the allergy severe?”
“What? Yes, he’ll literally die, his throat closes up and stuff.”
I stared at her. Someone she was serving pizza to would die on contact with cheese? And she didn’t even bother to tell us that?!!?? Why in gods name was she even in a pizza place???
“Don’t you have anything without cheese?” She demanded.
I ended up doing a garlic rubbed crust with toppings.
I had to scrub down all the counters and surfaces and grab fresh bins for all the toppings to try to avoid any cross contamination and the extra time made her roll her eyes in exasperation. Like I’m sorry safety protocols are inconvenient but I hope this person you’re trying to murder leaves your life.
But anyway. Please be safe. Disclose your allergies.
