Philosophical Question Day 4
"Is having a big ego a negative or positive trait?"
It is never bad to think you are great. It is never bad to believe that you are an amazing person and deserve to be valued. But once you start to believe you are the best and are better at everyone at everything, then that trait may start to decline.
Is having a big ego a negative or positive trait? It's negative. The world is built on relationships. It's built on the connections you have with others. It's how you treat others that in turn will treat you the same way back. The golden rule most of us learned in elementary if you will. Even if it's intimate or purely respectful, your status and happiness are based on how people perceive you. Most of the time, when one has a big ego, they tend to stomp on everyone else, to make themselves appear bigger and stronger. No one likes to be beaten. No one likes to see someone shove all their success in another one's face. Having a big ego, in simple terms, makes everyone hate you. You will not be treated with respect, you will be treated with resentment, and the feeling of discomfort. That's pretty negative to me.
This might bring up the thought of someone being themselves but against societal norms. They still love themselves and they don't care about the thoughts of other people and continue to do the things they love. Is that a big ego? Absolutely... NOT! These people do not think they are better than everyone else. I have not once seen someone who is looked down on by society think they are better than everyone else. They are simply at peace with other people's thoughts. Their connection to others is indifference. Not arrogance.
Having a big ego affects your connections with others and affects your impact for the worse.
Does anyone have more questions ideas? I'm sort of running out.

Originally, I was going to have Yev be pretty uninterested in romantic relationships at all. However, as I went along, that changed and he's since started to have feelings for varying people. Right now, he isn't in a relationship and is very much exploring why he suddenly cares about others when before he didn't feel much for anyone.
FFXIV Daily Question n°81 : Is there anything in your character's lore you decided to change from the moment you created them and today ? Do not hesitate to tell us about it, no matter how hug the changes if any.

Philosophical Questions Day 3
"What is the difference between good and bad people?"
The obvious answer might be that good people do good and bad people do bad. Or good people love and bad people hate. But as humans, we know it goes deeper than that. Not every good person loves everyone. Does good hate bad? Does that make them bad? What if the bad person has done so many horrible things, but they apologize. Does that make them good? What is a bad person? What is a good person? Is there such a thing? Maybe.
We look at people like murderers, and rapists, and we look in disgust. How could they do such a thing? To murder and hurt innocent people. Of course, I am not about to excuse those people for the purpose of this question, but it's interesting to think that most serial killers are quite kind on the outside so as to not draw attention to themselves. If we were to never catch a killer, that killer would wander around with people thinking he's a good person.
I say the difference between good and bad people is the mindset. Bad people think they are god's gift and never worry if they are doing something wrong. They believe all of their actions have a reason and that reason is because it's good. They justify their mistakes instead of regretting them or changing them. Good people are always thinking about whether or not their actions or thoughts are good or bad. Even if some good people were impulsive or they only realized what they'd done until afterward, they would worry about if the thing they did was bad. They'd regret it and feel worse.
If someone is worried that they are a bad person, chances are they're not.
Another thing to think about is people can change. A bad person who has done objectively bad things can redeem themselves and apologize sincerely. Of course, it gets tricky with sincerity but that goes too deep for me. It's a lucky shot. A good person who has always seemed to be likable can be hurt so badly they want to hurt back. The line between good and bad is very blurry. Most people cross over so many times in a day.
