Astra, seeing his nieces in their human forms for the first time: you’re... twins.
[Mile and Nayaka look at each other with feigned shock.]
Nayaka: What?!
Mile: No!
Nayaka: Really?!
Mile: Someone should’ve told us!
Nayaka: I feel cheated!
Mile: Duped even!
Nayaka: Hoodwinked!
Astra:...Well, good t see you two inherited my brother theatrics and Zoffy's smart-mouth tendencies.
Nayaka and Mile: It's a gift.

Consider this: Ultraman Rising but in the Abraxasverse. Emi gets to meet Ladon, Shin and Leo because her dad, mom and grandpa initially weren't paying attention due to a bunch of new Titans showed up out of the blue.
(oh, in light of the whole "Dagon isn't female but fuck it we're making 'em trans anyway," would they be transmasc or transfem? I'm leaning towards mtf because of that gijinka doodle I did, plus more female Titans is nice.)
Ken: Whew, thanks for looking after Emi! Kiddo's all worn out. So... are you wearing a mecha suit like Gigantron? Wasn't aware that kaiju have a fashion sense.
Dagon: Ha, my wife certainly does, but this is what I actually look like.
Ken: ...so you're like a cyborg, or...?
Dagon: No, you're literally looking at my face right now. Hold on, I have a new projector installed, take a look. Here's the mechanical exterior with all its bells and whistles, here's the biocomponent layer - don't ask, it's a whole thing - and here's my skeleton. Used to call myself a walking sarcophagus, but... heh, life's looking good.
Ken:
Dagon: ...Ken?
Ken: You're a zombie?!
Dagon: NO!

Hey I live
Zero: *trying to buy a Father's Day card at Hallmark* Zero: Excuse me, do you have any that just say "You are my dad?" Associate: Well, I- Zero: How about "You banged my mom?" Associate: No... Zero: You know what, I'll just get a blank one. Zero: *writes* You are a father. This is a day. Here is a card.
Seven: Ok, first of all, what the f***?
Leo: Try not to roll your eyes at me. Zero: I don't have pupils.
(remembers that ultraman zero's japanese voice was the japanese mario)
*At a bank teller window* Zero, in a bad Italian accent: I'd like-a to make-a da deposit! Leo: HEY BUDDY, WAIT, I REMEMBER YOU! Zero: *Frantically pours marinara sauce into the vacuum tube* Leo: GODDAMMIT, IT'S HIM AGAIN!
Zero: Are you ever going to listen to me? Seven: Yes. Absolutely. Zero: When? Seven: When you're right.
Seven: What did you order this morning? Leo: What do you mean? Seven: I heard you answer the door, and I sensed food.

Video description: A youtube video titled "Ultraman Zero All Transformations (Base form - Ultimate Shining)" which requires an eyestrain warning for flashing lights and has this direct link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T8fUdpkuZ60
EDIT TO ADD: I thought this was originally MCT's post and that somehow his Elsword Tiesweep buddy Bright Marine got banished to the shadow realm and got annoyed bc I thought I had already made propaganda for him. I didn't realize this was a different blog entirely.
This is Ultraman Zero, son of UltraSeven and inheritor of Ultraman Leo's fighting style. His transformation sequence and forehead laser and telekinetic forehead knives (called Sluggers) are also inherited from his dad, along with probably at least a little of his smug attitude. A lot of his journeys involve the power of friendship and getting to understand your friends to better fight alongside them.
This is his second movie, Ultraman Zero The Movie II: The Revenge of Belial, and the one that's easiest piece of media to start watching him with. The rest of them require at least one previous series' watching to understand who tf else is there, but the 2nd movie is the best as a standalone. And his production company Tsuburaya Productions simply let this random person sub it on youtube! Warning for eyestrain from 0:09:32 to around 0:11:52 and I'll link the regular song below for those who still want to listen to it. Plaintext link to The Revenge of Belial Movie below for screen readers: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JY31IcivSMk
youtube
Link to the song Susume! Ultraman Zero! for screen readers: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h_YYmNzydy8
youtube
I'm gonna close out by tagging all the shows and movies I remember him being in. Oh yeah he's also voiced by Mamoru Miyano, the guy who made everyone obsessed with Light Yagami from Death Note? Perhaps you've heard of him. He's also personally contributed some songs to the Ultra Series. Have you heard Legend of Galaxy? You should. Plaintext link here because for some reason certain videos just do not appear: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=223zxyUJuxI

to this day i still don’t understand the writing choice of zero not knowing who his father is because apparently everyone around him, leo, astra, and ultraman king, were intentionally keeping this information from him and then when it got sprung on him in the manner of “ultraseven is your father and also he might be dead so go save him” he like, was just cool with it. prideful even. now every time he brings seven up it’s like “oh yeah my weird dad haha” man he left you on the doorstep of an ultra monestary and when he had the chance to be a part of your life after abandoning you entirely for thousands of years he just peddled you off to his buddy leo.

Could I ask what role Zoffy plays? There’s not much of him on screen, but he’s shown to be pretty tight with the Ken and Marie family (apparently his dad was bffs with Ken and they share a mentor/surrogate relationship). So by proxy, he’s also close with Ace and Taro. Not sure how this transfers to Ultra Swap AU, but he could be some sort of consigliere/intelligence officer for M78? Like he probably floats around, spying on everything and executing the will/plans of M78 — even if it’s at the expense of the Ultra Bros. But idk haha I literally can’t see him as anything else aside from some sort of leadership position
There’s something going on between Zoffy and Seven: Zoffy pretended to be Andro Melos to save Seven from a bunch of aliens once (in the Andro Melos show). In the “The Ultraman” manga, Zoffy apparently made Seven second-in-command of the Ultra Bros, and cried over Seven like twice lol (same goes vice versa). Would highly recommend the manga for some Showa Ultra lore and relationships between the ultra bros.
I like to think this Seven is just as morally ambiguous as canon Seven (not sure how much of Leo you’ve watched but Seven really really loves Earth lmao), the only difference being that this Seven fights for more personal reasons than his selfless canon counterpart, who fights for literally everything but himself. Good stuff, really loving this AU!
Holy heck I didn't know asks could be this long
I'm still fairly new to Ultraman and so far I've only watched the original series, Ultraseven and Return, so I've seen Zoffy on screen exactly one (1) time. I read up on a few new gen characters that seemed important like Zero, Belial and Geed and read through a few more characters' wiki pages but I'm trying to avoid spoiling myself too much about Showa, so I've probably skipped some parts. I'm about to start Ace so hopefully I'll get a better understanding of the ultras' personnalities and relationships!
As ultras are all mostly bounty hunters/mercenaries, the base idea I had for Zoffy in Swap was that he could be both a general/captain and debt collector, collecting fees from ultras and bringing them back to Ken and Mary as well as organizing military operations when needed. Everyone around Ken and Mary seems to somehow make it into high ranking positions, whether they're qualified for it or not- tho Zoffy is one of the few who is qualified. I haven't worked on Ace and Taro too much (except for one ask suggesting to make Ace into a Jack the Ripper kind of serial killer), so I don’t have much to say about them yet.
Reading the rest of your ask, I could definitely see Zoffy and Seven being close friends! They lost contact for a few years as Seven was traveling around different galaxies looking for jobs and Zoffy was chasing after indebted ultras ; but since Seven settled down with Anne they've been keeping in touch more regularly. They keep each other updated about what's going on with their rulers ; Zoffy tells Seven about Ken and Mary's latest shenanigans, and Seven warned Zoffy when Geed dropped by to buy a Pegassan child from Anne and kinda, sorta hinted at a planned murder... Seven may be an alien hunter and a multiple time murderer, he still cares deeply about his family and his few close friends. They're the motivation behind all his actions.
"The Ultraman" sounds excatly like what I need to catch up on the ultras! I'll definitely check it out, thank you for the suggestion! And I'm so happy you enjoy my AU! Your Sevanne art was absolutely wonderful and really made my day!

Kairi, tugging on Dan’s pant leg: Mr. Dan you have to put a dollar in the swear jar.
Dan, amused: Oh, Why?
Kairi: Because you said (looks over her shoulder at Mile) The F-word.
{Gen snickers as he watches his granddaughter put Seven in his place.]
Dan, opening his wallet: Here’s $20, kid. That should cover me until lunch. *walks away.*
Gen & Mile, gawk at Dan in disbelief:....
Gen, to his daughter: Advance payment for swears is cheating, right? Like it defeats the whole purpose of a swear jar???
Mile, shrugging: I-- I honestly don’t know, dad. The swear jar was intended to stop Kairi from swearing, I never thought about outsider implication....Let’s just see how this goes.
[Needless to say, Kairi made off with about $600 in one hour, just by being around the ultra brothers.]

Wait is that zeros mum. Did gen have an ultra baby with a human
who, momoko? that’s a no considering momoko dies horribly 3 episodes after their cute little chat about her potentially being into aliens. that’s just how it be for side characters in ultraman leo unfortunately.
(also seven/dan is the one who’s zero’s dad, just for clarification. though leo probably did more actual dadding than seven in the long run.)

In the land of light, two Ultras were having a sparring match. One of them being Ultraman Leo and the other being a young Ultraman.
“Ha! Hiyahh!” The young Ultraman goes for a spin kick, but the older Ultraman blocked the kick and countered by grabbing his leg and palm striking him to knock him to the ground.
“Gah!” The Ultraman groaned as Leo puts his foot on his chest.
“You’re getting better, Ceasar. But there’s still room for improvement.” Leo holds out his hand
“Thanks, dad...” Ultraman Ceasar replied by grabbing Leo’s hand.

What's so bad about Ultraman seven and zero and why does everyone hate them? (I'm not really in the ultraman fandom but I've seen a few of your earlier posts and got curious)
Tumblr media
Okay so FIRST of all, a small correction: I absolutely in no way hate Zero. I actually rather love him! About the worst thing I could even say about him is that he’s ridiculously overpowered and also a teenager. (Okay, he’s actually 5,900 or so, but in ultraman years that’s apparently the equivalent of like, 17 or 18, and he acts like it.) I’m sure there are people who dislike him for those reasons, but I am not one of them. The “World’s Worst Son” shirt says more about Seven (for giving it to him) than it does his son.
So then, Seven. TL;DR version: Seven apparently used to be a normal okay Ultraman, but then the writers accidentally nuked his characterization in post-season stuff and the character never recovered. “Bad dad” status was further attained with the first appearance of Zero, in which it was revealed that Seven – for thousands of years! – never told his son that he was his father and, in fact, pawned Zero off onto Leo to actually raise/train him. He had some very flimsy excuse about ‘protecting’ his son but, let’s face it: it was flimsy as hell and Seven’s just a horrible father. The end!(I still don’t hate Seven, but that’s mostly because I find it to be too funny to laugh at how bad he is at things.) (SEVEN STOP BEING A COWBOY ON EARTH AND GO PARENT YOUR CHILD, SHEESH)
… Well, ‘the end’ unless you want as much further explanation as I can scrape together from my own beginner knowledge of Ultraman, in which case…
Alright, so as I mentioned, as far as I have heard, during Seven’s original season (Ultraseven – technically that’s his proper title/name and not Ultraman Seven, but most characters in-universe will just call him Seven), he was a fairly normal Ultraman for the timeperiod (1960s!) and not terrible. In fact, we kinda owe him for Pokemon – the concept of “capsule” monsters was derived from Ultraseven’s own capsule monsters!
But then, years later, we come to Ultraman Leo. Leo’s production crew wanted to have a character on the human squad who’d be basically the grumpy tough mentor type, maybe a bit harsh at times but ultimately helping Leo become a better hero and all that jazz.
The problem: they wanted the actor who played Seven’s human form/host to play that character.
Which shouldn’t be a problem, right? Acting! … Except the actor argued that it would be way too confusing to kids to see Seven not being, well, Seven. So the production crew, seeing this problem and nodding… Decided to cause a further problem by merely changing the character’s name and nothing else (except a very tacked-on hasty explanation for why Seven can’t become an Ultraman right now).
So now Seven’s a jerk. Again, I haven’t seen Leo either, so I don’t know how bad but I have heard tales that it’s pretty bad. The writers have just accidentally changed Seven forever. It gets even worse when Zero is introduced, because all of a sudden the writers need to explain why Seven’s 5900-year-old son has never been mentioned, and rather than, say, just ignoring the problem entirely (as they often do for timeline issues)… they decide that Seven just never told his son that he was his dad! And like never interacts with him! In fact, Leo ended up being a bigger presence in Zero’s life than Seven! It’s to the point that literally every other Ultra in that movie is like “should we go get Zero to help with this galactic threat” and Seven refuses, which comes off as him wanting to avoid his son even further.
So yeah. Seven tries to argue that he was protecting his son or something, but it comes off as a total excuse, and thus Seven is eternally The Second Worst Ultra-Parent. (Belial, literally Ultra-Satan, is the actual Worst Dad. So there’s the bar that Seven just barely cleared.)
The end!

Do you believe that if they could, all the ultras would adopt every human? But especially geed and the other humans that 'became'/bonded with ultraman? Do the ultra all gossip about "their" humans?
I would love to think they do.
I can just picture Original Ultraman and Ultraman Jack talking about how good Hayata and Goh are doing, how many kids they’ve had, how much they’ve done since their Ultras left.  Ace keeps one-upping them though by talking about what’s happened with Seiji and Yuko.
Tumblr media
“She’s a Moon Princess you know!”
Tumblr media
“We know Ace, we know.”
The Ultras without human hosts like Seven and 80 just go on and on about their human friends and how great they are.  Also, Seven never shuts up about how he was the mentor to Ultraman Leo.  At least until someone brings up MAC and he gets all sullen and wanders off muttering to himself.
Tumblr media
And then there’s Zero.  Zero spends all of his time talking about his multiple hosts and showing off pictures of how well their kids are doing.  He especially loves to brag about Leito and his family, though he sometimes forgets not to say ‘my family’.  He is also stupidly proud of Ultraman Geed and tells his Dad about what a great mentor he is all the time.
Tumblr media
I’ve always been of the opinion that the Ultras have a special love for humanity and see them as a race with a ton of potential.  There is, of course, the fact that humans greatly resemble what the Ultras looked like before they were altered by the Plasma Spark and became what they are now.  I get the feeling they look at us like their kids and are making sure we have a chance to advance someday like they did and reach our full potential.  If only all these pesky alien invaders and kaiju would knock it off with invading the Earth!

Because Zero’s never known who his father was until Belial was a thing, quite a lo of people would believe that Seven’s been a horrible, neglectful parent (his strict behaviour in Ultraman Leo doesn’t help either). I, on the other hand, think otherwise.
The reunion between Zero and Seven has always struck me as a little odd (heartwarming, but odd) if Seven has indeed been so neglectful to the point that his son had no idea who his dad was. Zero’s not exactly the most cool-headed of all Ultras, and I find it hard to believe that anyone with a dad that’s been so absent from their life would willingly let themselves be pulled into a hug from their father, and return it with so much emotion.
When Seven pulls Zero’s hand away from the Plasma Spark and throws him onto the floor and yells at him to stop, Zero responds immediately with a “Why?” and proceeds to tell Seven not to underestimate him. In that exchange, Zero doesn’t seem surprised to see Seven, or question why he’s giving him a lecture when they allegedly rarely meet each other. If a cop caught a robber trying to steal something red-handed, I’d find it hard to believe that the robber would question the cop instead of fighting back or making a run for it. Instead, Zero asks “why”, as if he expected Seven to understand (what he believes are) his capabilities and that he can handle whatever power the Plasma Spark has for him. It’s almost as if there’s some sort of familiarity between them – at least, some sort of relationship where Zero knows that Seven has seen what he can do and understands the potential that he has.
Maybe Seven’s raised Zero during his childhood through different means. Maybe Seven played a role of a teacher and taught Zero how to use his sluggers or fire his beams – using their powers isn’t something instinctual for Ultras (we know what memory loss does to them from Ultraman Max’s famous amnesiac episode) and Zero uses his Emerium Slash and Wide Zero Shot in a manner too similar to Seven’s versions. Maybe Seven’s played the role of a guardian and they’ve trained together: their synergy in fighting off the darklops invasion is too strong to be something they put together between Belial’s first defeat and Belial’s revenge. Whatever it is, it’s likely that Seven’s been quite present throughout Zero’s life.
So why the secrecy? When Seven’s eye slugger smashes into K77 and Zero finally learns who his father is, King tells him that “we couldn’t tell you before”, and that’s just about the only explanation we get for Zero’s lack of knowledge. The Ultra Brothers are pretty well known amongst other aliens and enemies across the many universes – maybe their high profile and nature of work would put any of their family in danger of being a target? Maybe Seven’s dimension-hopping habits and involvement in civil wars between other aliens puts him extremely high on the interstellar ‘hit-list’? The answer would be interesting, but ultimately not too important – the fact that King uses “We” suggests that whatever the reason Seven has for his secrecy, it involves the Ultra Brothers and the higher-ups in the Space Garrison, and it’s not really within his full control or his own interest. Which, on its own, would probably not stop Seven from spending time with his son – even if it means that he’ll have to hide Zero’s parentage.
That would probably explain why all of the elite of the Garrison, from the youngest member Mebius to the King himself, was in on what was essentially a personal secret. That would probably explain why Seven and Zero get along pretty well in the later movies and shows, with little evidence of a strained relationship that’s expected from a father that was fully absent from a child’s life. And that would probably explain why Zero got so pissed from Seven’s death that he effortlessly kills off many of the monsters in the monster graveyard in the same amount of time he would normally take to kill off a few in the other movies.
I’m not saying that Seven’s the best parent there is, nor does he have any excuse not tell Zero the truth… but I’d like to think that he tried.
