Davrin Week Prompts Survey!

Davrin's week is set for May, and we would love to have you join us! We're opening a survey so that you can tell us what prompts you'd like to see for the event! The prompts will be posted the day after Bellara's week ends, on April 24, 2025.

If you have any ideas, please send them through the form below! The survey will run until March 25 at midnight Pacific Standard Time. Look for the prompts after #bellaraweek2025 closes!

Dragon Age Create-a-thon 2023 Announcement

What is the DA Create-a-Thon?

The Create-a-Thon is an event where DA fandom creators and DA fandom appreciators will be put into teams to try and win the most points for their team! Winning points has two phases:

Fanwork creation period. Creators make their art, fics, renders, or whatever else they like and post to the Collection on Ao3. Physical art such as crochet, knitting, and embroidery will be accepted (pending mod approval). Works will remain hidden until the end of the creation period and teams can win points for each work, with extra points for things like longest fic or most characters in an art piece.

Fanwork appreciation period: Interim points will be tallied and then teams can earn extra points for commenting on fics in the collection (limit 1 point per user per fic) or writing and posting recommendation lists (1 point per user).

The winning team will be announced with all members and will get a custom banner for their team (and bragging rights)

What kind of works can be posted?

Any DA fanworks that were created during the creation period and can be posted to Ao3. Crossovers or AUs will be accepted as long as there is at least 1 DA character. Please try to tag works as accurately as possible, so that others can seek out fics they’re interested in during the appreciation period or avoid those that they may not wish to engage with for whatever reason.

Who can participate?

Anyone in the DA fandom who is 18+ and has a discord account, creators or otherwise! Commenting on fics also earns points for teams, so producing something isn’t necessary to participate! We’ll try and keep the teams even between creators and appreciators.

Unfortunately, this event will be 18+ only.

When is it happening?

Sign-ups open: September 11-25, 2023

Team creation: September 26-30, 2023

Creation period: October 1-31, 2023

Appreciation period: November 1-13, 2023

Results tallied: November 13-15, 2023

Dragon Age Polyshipping is Back!

✨Join us for the 2024 exchange!✨

Are you a fan creator looking for Dragon Age poly content? Hoping to expand the AO3 tag for your favorite throuple? Or maybe you look at the Inner Circle and think: "they're all just too pretty to choose"?

If so, this exchange is for you!

DA Polyshipping is a celebration of healthy polyamorous, polysexual, and polygamous ships in the Dragon Age fandom. It is open to all creators who are willing to create one piece of fanart or write one fanfic that meets our exchange requirements and deadlines!

The exchange focuses on healthy polyamory in all its forms and welcomes queerplatonic relationships, one-time theesomes (or moresomes), and long-term relationships. Check out FAQ - What do you mean by healthy polyamory? for more details on acceptable pieces.

NOMINATIONS OPEN IN 4 WEEKS!

Important Changes & Updates

This year we will pre-load ships that have been nominated for all prior years of DA Polyshipping, so you can free up your nominations spaces for other characters/ships.

Nominations will only be open for one week!

Welcome new mods, @inquisimer & @plisuu! With the larger mod team, we will no longer be taking personal communications about the exchange via Discord DM or tumblr DM/ask. Please send communications regarding individual circumstances via email or the official extension form. General questions can still be asked in discord or via tumblr ask.

‼️With Veilguard set to release in Fall 2024, the mods reserve the right to make drastic adjustments to the schedule when a specific release date is announced. Please note that if we do alter the schedule, it will be to give participants MORE time, not less.‼️

Oops! Guess I should post this on here too. @mochisquish I was so relieved when I found out you were my recipient. I always volunteer for these things and then psyche myself out worrying about whether it’s what the other person actually wants once I start working on it. I have finally FINALLY got up to the dream scene at the start of the last mabelcorn in kmky and everything is flowing nicely finally, and the scenes and characterisation all are smooth and make sense and I am no longer going over the same establishing scenes like a pedant trying to make them perfect. SUCCESS!

Just have to knock out these next few bits then it's onto unicorn beatdowns, funny hats, pizza parties and loophole heists!

I do have to admit, I'm getting a little excited about Veilguard. But I'm not getting my hopes up. In retrospect, there was only 3 and a half years in between DA2 and DAI but that wait felt like soooo long at the time, when I was completely fucking obsessed Dragon Age.

and then all the promotional stuff about Inquisition looked SO COOL and I got my hopes up SO HIGH and then the game was god fucking awful. It was so bad, between that, and the fandom just... being the absolute most toxic fandom I've ever been in, I ended up hating the thing I'd loved so much.

To be fair, it was more the fandom than the game, but god that game fucking sucked, it upset me SO much.

I obviously do not have the extreme emotional attachment to DA now that I did in the past, so I won't be emotionally devastated as much if this game sucks lol. I also like, am not chronically online anymore and I don't deal with fandoms much anymore. But yeah. I've been really reminded of just how fucking excited I was about Inquisition.
