Yeah! I thought it was, too, but the author came back to finish it. I kept checking back every now and again because it ended at the Argentine arc. If you do, I wanna know what you think of the ending of it!

Yeah, I mentioned that series! I started watching the anime on a whim because I just got reminded of it randomly while watching abridged series. If you don't mind spoilers, I'll post the ending of the manga under the cut.

Dark is erased from existence bc his painting is destroyed and basically he's removed from everyone's memories and I'm just??? That's a lackluster ending to me, honestly. All because the magic of the painting was gone and here I am like "way to give your best character the worst possible exit".

I never liked the ending of it and I probably never will. It's lackluster. In the anime he's sealed away while manga is just "lol let's just wipe him from existence and have everyone forget him"

I think, at that point, the author gave up on the manga and gave it an ending that didn't really work. Too long of a hiatus.

Yesterday I finished the anime of DN Angel

I liked it a lot overall, even tho the pacing in the later episodes was a bit slow sometimes, and the ending felt abrupt, I imagine because the manga was on hiatus at that point.

I did beforehand read some scans of the first couple of chapters of the manga and I liked them a lot! I think the anime tied them nicely in the beginning episodes, I feel by contrast the world building wasn't really established that early in the manga.

Anyway I can't wait to read the rest of the manga, which is coming to Italy as "perfect deluxe edition" later this month. Already preordered the first volume!

Btw that opening song? One of the best anime openings tbh. It slapped so hard it felt like a crime to skip it.

Obviously, I haven't included all of them (mainly just ones I'm decently familiar with, enough to know that the anime adaptations are completely). Some I also made executive decisions to exclude. For example, I left out the Legend of Basara and Please Save My Earth because they're less familiar to most people on here. And D.N. Angel and My Love Story!! have male MCs, so I'm not sure if they count as shoujo. And Shugo Chara technically isn't fully adapting since they made up the Party! arc after the Easter Arc (manga ending is much better in my opinion lol...)

However, I hope I got most of the popular ones! Or at least that ones that still make me sad aren't finished lol
