Runrig - Gamhna Gealla 1979

Runrig were a Scottish Celtic rockband formed on the Isle of Skye in 1973. The band released fourteen studio albums, with a number of their songs sung in Scottish Gaelic. "Gamhna Gealla" (White Stirks) was featured on their second album, The Highland Connection (1979). Runrig's music is often described as a blend of folk and rock music, with the band's lyrics often focusing upon locations, history, politics, and people that are unique to Scotland. Songs also make references to agriculture, land conservation and religion. In August 2018, Runrig performed the final shows of their farewell tour, entitled The Last Dance, in Stirling City Park beneath the castle ramparts. An estimated 52,000 fans attended The Last Dance.

Mabel does not get kicked out of the house at 18, I believe that even if the twins’ parents did do so (I don’t think they would in the first place place) Dipper would go after Mabel and reconnect much sooner. But that’s no fun is it? Instead Mabel runs away faking her death as she does so, so that no one goes looking for her. In her life she had been the source of trouble again and again, a girl of her personality wouldn’t particularly mesh well with society back then. But she doesn’t get her hopes down. What does crush her and makes her start to believe that bad things happen because of her is when her father is drafted. You see her parents’s had the twins at a fairly young age so her father was still in the age range for the draft at the time. Despite her being young at the time it left a mark. And what also left a mark was the state her father returned in. He had been critically injured on the battlefield and had been honorably discharged. Despite having nothing to do with it she blamed herself. As time went on and her parent’s marriage started to get rocky, eventually ending in divorce when she was 13, she blamed herself yet again. If only she had tried hard enough to be a better daughter they would still be together. And there’s Dipper. He’s been there through all of this by her side. But why he be? Could he see all the damage she’s caused to this family? It all finally catalyzes when they were 18 and Dipper had just gotten an opportunity for West Coast Tech.

This is the moment she decides to run away, everyone is better off that way.

Tee hee anyway that’s what I’ve been cooking up recently, I have so much more ofc, but I need to (semi) finalize it first :)

I love Law being a little shit especially in his relationship with Luffy because you'd best believe they're menaces together. The solidarity they share when they bicker with Kid. Law trolling his boyfriend. Luffy getting them in trouble together. Law pissing off people and Luffy is laughing his heart out in the background. The rare times that Law would smirk while Luffy does his thing. Luffy as one of the Law enablers™️. Law saying stuff like that one guy looked at me wrong to Luffy just so he can see him go from silly goofy to serious real quick. Luffy asking questions and Law answering them in graphic ways that even Usopp wishes he could unhear the details. Law in his peak loser boyfriend core and Luffy would say it's the coolest version of his Torao. Their dates consist of beating bad people up as a recreational activity. They fight over on who can sleep on Bepo. The StrawHearts have a running bet about them.

Klaatu - We're Off You Know 1977

Klaatu was a Canadian rock group formed in 1973. They named themselves after an ambassador, Klaatu, from an extraterrestrial confederation who visits Earth with his companion robot Gort in the film The Day the Earth Stood Still. In Canada, the band is remembered for several hits, including "California Jam" (1974), "Calling Occupants of Interplanetary Craft" (1976) and "Knee Deep in Love" (1980). Internationally, the group's pop-influenced style of progressive rock has led to them being known as the "Canadian Beatles".

In 1977, a rumour started that Klaatu's 1976 debut studio album 3:47 EST could actually be a release by a secretly reunited Beatles recording under a pseudonym. These rumours were fueled by a number of factors, including the fact that their album was released by Capitol Records (also the Beatles' label in North America), the lack of artist and producer credits or photographs in the album packaging, Klaatu's avoidance of public performances, and the fact that the group's vocal and musical style was reminiscent of the Beatles. Capitol Records tried to make as much of the rumours as possible, by issuing ambiguously worded statements that failed to make the band's identity entirely clear.

Hope is Klaatu's second studio album and their first concept album. Released in September 1977, it won a Juno Award for Best Engineered Album and a Canadian Music Critics award for Best Album that same year. The album follows the loose concept of space travelers visiting a distant planet. An alternate version of Hope was released in 2005 as part of the group's Sun Set collection of rarities. The alternate version on Sun Set includes the complete contributions of the London Symphony Orchestra, which had largely been removed from the original version. Hope was remastered and re-issued in 2012 by the band's members, and was released on the band's independent record label Klaatunes.
