are you diagnosed with DID?
Yessir
I’m not stupid enough to post physical proof and dox myself haha but yes we have been diagnosed and have been in treatment for around four years now
Also, generally it is considered rude to ask people if they are diagnosed with something, just fyi. We aren’t bothered but just know some people may be.

When it comes to dating a system, or having a partner system, or really, dating or being romantically involved with anyone, system or not:
You need to talk with someone who will understand! Who has been through, and preferably who is currently going through, similar things to you!
Having someone to connect with, to be able to talk things through. To be able to speak your worries, frustrations, concerns, and not be judged. But to be listened to, and offered advice that can actually help.
No one. And I mean NO ONE will ever have the exact same experience as you. But, there are plenty of people who can relate.
I am willing to be that person if it is needed. All you have to do is DM or submit an ask. I won't have all the answers, no one will. But that doesn't mean help cannot come from it.
Even if it's the wrong advice, it will point you in a better direction. If you get advice and go "oh, ick, no, that's not how I should handle that" then by god! You learned how NOT to handle it! That's super helpful!!

Random talk about how Dissociative Identity Disorder is received and portrayed online (from my point of view)
I definitely don't like to be open online about having DID, I don't mind on tumblr because it's pretty accepting but places like twitter, Instagram and tiktok are really difficult
I think since DID has been more talked about and more seen in the media there's definitely more people who have been 'faking' it. Whether they have another mental illness and get it confused with DID or just do it for fun. It's very damaging
I don't mention that I have DID much online because it's very likely that you'll get called FAKE and even more by people who actually are FAKING it
A lot of people online think DID is just fake
I've been called the devil because of it
I've dated online a few times and a lot of the time these men would pick and choose who they wanted to talk to
They would set rules saying, this person can't come out, this person can and it destroyed me by the thought that they think they can make that decision
If you mention you have DID online, people will have a MILLION questions
Even more so if you did it after moon knight!
If someone asks to see proof or a medical document to prove it DO NOT GIVE THEM IT
It's none of their business
Try your best to not care if people believe you
I know a lot of people have wars with themselves thinking maybe they are faking it
And when someone says it to you, you get insecure
But, just remember that they don't know you. They've seen the word DID and gone YOURE FAKING IT. Without any backups
Feel free to add any of your own experiences!

What do you think of people with DID?
I think its fucked up that media always depicts systems as 'oooooo, evil person with another person in their braiiiin'
It's a harmful stereotype thats not realistic at all. Do you KNOW how unlikely it is to have a single alter?
Anyway, justice for systems, singlets FUCKED UP their representation

Friendly reminder that alters cannot die, even if it can feel like that or seem like that, they do not die
fusion is not "killing" alters. it's a form of healing. im so fucking tired. i know everyone's experiences with it are different but i need people to understand there is nothing wrong with pursuing final fusion as a system. even if it's not what you or your system want, you're allowed to have your reasons for that but please stop spreading this narrative and this rhetoric that alters fusing is this terrible thing, it's literally a sign of healing.

One of my favorite D&D gags that I ever came up with is part of a oneshot I've run a few times where the party is hired by a young wizard to help clear out a few active security measures in a tower that the wizard inherited from her old teacher.
The first obstacle to be cleared is the re-animated skeletons that the old wizard was using for gardening help. It's a pretty straightforward fight, but during the encounter, players may notice one particular raised bed of herbs that is set back in a corner of the garden by itself.
Upon further investigation, this one raised bed is absolutely shining with magical protections. There are runes carved into the wood of the bed, gemstones inlaid in the top of it, this bed is absolutely protected out the ass... and an arcana check shows that the protections are all pointed inward, attempting to keep what's in there from getting out.
What's growing in that raised bed, you may ask? What is so dangerous that the old wizard felt the need to place all these protections?
Mint.

if you’re ever in the position to choose between giving up and accepting defeat, and actually trying to fight the ancient unkillable god that is about to peel apart reality like a string cheese, remember this: scientifically speaking, you might as well give it a shot!
1.there were trees at the beginning of the world! there were trees so long ago that they predate bacteria that causes wood to decay. when a tree fell, it would lie there in stasis and there wasn’t any way of breaking down wood xylem on a molecular level in that way.
2. it seems obvious to say, but wood eating bacteria are literally incapable of comprehending what they’re breaking down. It’s just not information conciously available to a microorganism. they don’t know what they’re deconstructing, where it came from, bacteria have no way to even fathom the existence of a tree as a concept.
3. Regardless of the facts above, the world we live in today is a world where wood inevitably decomposes
it is worth fighting the unkillable god no matter how pointless it seems. it is worth taking the risk even though youre trying to accomplish something impossible. the reality in which you live was also once reality in which trees didn’t rot. You live in a reality that allows for existence before the possibility of destruction. you live in a reality where uncomprehending microbes break down matter that is so far beyond the scope of their comprehension that it feels comical to specify something so obvious. you live in a reality that occasionally allows unshakeable physical truths to be altered with no warning.
It is worth fighting the unkillable god because trees are so old they predate the source of their destruction, and it still did not spare them. It is worth fighting the unkillable god because bacteria rots unthinkingly, because there is room in our cosmos for destruction without comprehension on the part of the destroyer. It is worth fighting the unkillable god because now and then reality retracts the promise of immortality without fanfare, and when that happens there is no mercy for the ancient. the unmaking is not softer for the desecrators ignorance. for all things, existence is endless until the exact point where it ends.
so you might as well try to kill the unkillable god. it doesn’t seem likely, but at the beginning of the world, trees didn’t rot. so you never know! you never know
