Today I have started my countdown as in exactly 2 weeks I am getting married! And for that occasion I would like to share with you one of the wine we are going to sip on the party! A Czech wine from the southern Moravian region with a cross between Riesling and Madeleine Royale, Müller Thurgau. Produced by Mladé Vinarství which means "Young Winery" founded in 2010 and now owned and managed by my dear friend and ex-collegue, Filip @zapulsta . When I have tasted this wine, I was looking for a nice, sweet, enjoyable one and I think I made the right decision! A light golden yellow color on the wine with medium minus viscosity. Apricots, yellow apples, pear, orange, elderflower, honey and a touch of butteriness with vanilla notes on the nose. As I said, a sweet wine but with a very fresh, high acidity, medium alcohol, creamy texture with medium plus body. I detect flavours of honey, vanilla, orangepeel, peaches and elderflower with a medium plus lenght. A very good quality wine which best to drink within 3-5 years while it's young on 8-10°C. I would pair with all sorts of cheeses, a nice Austrian apfelstrudel with vanilla sauce or drink it as an aperitif. The wine flowed all afternoon! We selected a lunch place with a recommended sommelier and he took us on a journey through Czech wine and then wines from across Europe. We started with a Czech Frankovka (aka Blaufrankisch), a Czech Merlot, a German Pinot, Boujelais from France, a Gruner ice wine, and some dessert wine. In today's post I would like to introduce the other winery I have visited in Czech Republic in the region of Moravia. The Mladé Vinařství winery is a tiny family owned place with only 2 hectares🍇 in the hand of the Rumisek family. At this moment only the older brother is producing the wines while his younger brother studying the Sommelier 🍷 profession in London. They are most likely give you white wines to taste because there is a big selection from Muscat and Chardonnay through unique german varieties 🍇 like Savilon and Saphira.
