Some beautiful Moravian dresses/costumes from Rakvice, a village/municipality in the South East of Czechia🇨🇿. 

This place has wonderfully preserved their beautiful culture.

You will notice with Moravian dresses, women tend to have large, puffy dresses with their distinctive huge, wide skirts and abundant petticoats underneath.

In many regions in South Moravia, men's costumes typically include a long white embellished ribbon with a decorated cockade on the right side of their vests as you can see above.

I managed to find some older photos from 1959 too♡

A traditional dress/costume in Czech & Slovak is called a "Kroj" (pronounced like kroi). I love how highly and beautifully embellished each garment is from here♡

Kdo koho zabil první? Pták cyklistu nebo cyklista ptáka? Těžko soudit. Nejspíše to bylo město, jehož vysoké mrakodrapy jsou drápy, jehož ulice jsou odpadní stoky unášející život. Některých věcí je prostě lepší se nedotýkat. Ale to bychom nebyli my lidé. Musíme si na všechno sáhnout, za jakoukoli cenu. Přitom nemáme sebemenší tušení, kolik očí nás ustavičně sleduje. Je jich strašně moc, jsou všude a nic jim neunikne. Vidí nás. Asi jsme opravdu zakleti a odsouzeni vkráčet do chřtánu obrovské příšery, jež nás pozře. A to bude konec? Ne. Chodíme v kruhu. Vše se bude do kola opakovat znovu a zas. Kdo koho zabil první?

The Lednice-Valtice Cultural Landscape (Czech: Lednicko-valtický areál) is an area in South Moravia encompassing the village of Lednice and the town of Valtice. Due to the high concentration of architectural monuments and the beauty of the surrounding planned landscape, it was inscribed on UNESCO’s World Heritage List in 1996.
