it's time to visit mortimer and dina's branch of the goth family!

With the impending passing of their patriarch, the Goth clan has fallen into a sombre, yet forcefully cheerful, mood. Will Mortimer pass peacefully, or will long-hidden family secrets come to light before he can?

Mortimer Goth

Now that he's getting on in years, how will Mortimer, cheerful and outgoing as he is, choose to spend his last days? He does have an unusual fondness for insects, which drives his green thumb son Alex up the wall.

Dina Caliente-Goth

It is often said that Dina has a mind of her own, but she is quick to disagree. She likes chocolate and enjoys the prestige and status that her marriage to the Goth patriarch gives her.

Oleander Goth

Oleander has never felt like he fits into the Goth family. With his strange appearance and lack of resemblance to his late 'father', Michael, it's only natural that he's grown restless under the eyes of the rumour-driven, wide-eyed Pleasantview folk. Maybe it's something to do with his blood.

Galina Goth

A strange genetic illness caused Galina to grow very ill as an infant, prompting her father, Mortimer, to place her in an advanced life-support system at a young age, in order to save her life. Contrary to her big brother, Oleander, Galina likes how she looks, and is determined not to let her illness hamper her dreams of a happy family life.

Isadora Goth

People often call Isadora a mini version of her aunt Nina, but her father always says she favours her mother. This giggling little girl seems destined for a happy, sheltered life within the Goth clan.

Cymoril (Dog)

For a member of a family stacked high with drama, Cymoril has lived quite the uneventful life. He enjoys his days spent jogging with his human mom Dina and playing fetch with the Goth siblings.

You asked for it, so here ya go!

Bonkers the cat and Cymoril the dog are not on the tree as they aren’t related to the rest.

I pulled the pics of all the dead dogs out of SimPE, so I apologize for what they are. Grace and Webster had the infamous “Mr. Potato Head” pics, so those are actually from the game. Because of that, all of the dogs who reached their elder stage have elder pictures. Please let me know if I got something wrong!! I’ll happily fix it the next time I’m in the family tree. FYI, the Bonkers and Webster on the tree are still roaming around Robin River. Webster is a stray who occasionally gives job promotions, and Bonkers is one of the wolves. (Next time I interrupt the story for family trees, I’ll try and do it all at once. Thanks for your patience!)

While her parents are out, Elissa also doesn't waste time and throws a party, inviting basically everyone she knows who's not on campus at the time.

Here we have: Claus Jocque, Paola Picaso, Pak Cho, Orlando Summerdream, Ophelia Capp, and of course, Robert Ottomas.

Orlando used to date Elissa's sister, but now he's kinda with Paola? Who doesn't like Elissa that much but comes anyway, presumably to make sure Orlando isn't stolen from her. To be honest, that fear wouldn't be unfounded.

Claus feels a bit awkward around the others. Ophelia tries to make a move on him, but he'd rather play with the dogs.

Pak is just chilling. He kissed Elissa once in the past, but they're just friends now, so it's cool.

[Save for Orlando, an adopted townie, these are all sims born in-game to premades, and I absolutely love this crowd.]

Isaiah and Tina come to visit, and they bring the kids, Irving and Tamara. Mary and Nathan are beyond happy to see their grandchildren.

Friday. It's late autumn, but the weather is still warm; Nathan manages to get a sunburn while sunbathing in his empty vegetable garden.

The Gavigans are next. The rotation starts with some big news: while on her own, Elissa adopted an elderly dog trustworthily named Killer. All other family pets are thrilled to meet him.

While Elissa is the one to bring him home, Killer actually ends up liking Mary the most.

At the start of the week, Mary adopts a new pet - it’s a kitten called Ash. Delilah started dating Orlando Summerdream at a recent party at the Lotharios’ and is hanging out with him a lot. Elissa and Nathan spend lots of time doing what they love: Elissa plays all the sports while her father tends to their vegetable garden.

Day 21. It’s just the Gavigans now.

Daily life. Mary restores vintage cars now that she has more time and space for it, in all senses; mechanics has been her long abandoned hobby for years. The girls spend most of their time with each other (and stray dogs, even though they have dogs at home). Nathan works a lot. And the Goodies have started a vegetable garden.
