Going back to my roots for this one lol, these two are one of the first things I remember consciously shipping (I watched teen titans sooo much when I was little) I tried to emulate the shows style, and while it definitely isn’t perfect I think it’s pretty good for a first try!

It was difficult to say whose eyes went bigger and whose expression was more bewildered when Starfire handed all three male Titans father's day cards, complete with positive pregnancy tests.

"What joyous day that we have all found out we have been upknocked at the same time!"

She flew between Raven and Jinx and brought them in a tight hug completely unaware her two friends were not sharing her complete ecstasy.

"But that is not all! I have bought us all gifts as well!"

Starfire pulled three identical white t-shirts and pushed them onto herself and her friends.

Jinx burst into laughter, seeing Raven wearing white shirt with "Baby on board" text.

"I wasn't sure what board they meant…. Are all our children will be surfers?"

Hello everyone! I deeply apologize for the absence of posts. I have a ton of traditional drawings of teen titans but barely any on my iPad which is why I have a shortage of posts. I am also overwhelmed with school as well lol. I didn’t want to post this because I wasn’t very proud of it, but I decided to post it anyway. I hope the Robstar shippers like this drawing! (Also I ship almost every ship, BBRAE, Robstar, RobRae, TerraBB, Cyjinx, Cyborg x Bumblebee, etc. I like all ships, so if you don’t like Robstar and prefer another, don’t worry I can make it!) I hope you enjoy this drawing.

NGL, I wish the 03 cartoon actually did something more with Joey and Wally partly bc it show people other Raven ships exist outside her and BB or whatever Robin is around and also bc I genuinely do like them and those ships. The JeriRae and KFRae ships at least both got nods in the show's tie-in comic but most were still obsessed with BBR sadly. And KFJinx.

And yes, I unfortunately remember those TT cartoon ship wars all too well. TTG at least revived BBT vs BBR for awhile but nowadays it's DamiRae vs BBR.

The thing is, it's not like BBRae is the one and only possible Raven ship. She has four teammates. Even if you cross off Robin and Starfire, you still have Beast Boy and Cyborg left over. Cyborg and Raven certainly also have bonding moments (there's the episode where she helps him with his car, and Beast Boy and Cyborg travel into her mind in Nevermore, etc).

Cyborg/Jinx and Cyborg/Bumblebee are ships that have been floating around since the toon ended, but neither of them are so popular (or canon) that I'd say it's like RobStar to just become a default. To this day, toon fans still make memes about how Cyborg is the forever alone Titan or ship him with his car as a joke. Even though Raven also doesn't have any romances in the canon of the cartoon (unless you count Malchior, but no one is counting Malchior).

I don't think anyone is being intentionally malicious, but I do think it's some internalized bias acting up that Raven/Cyborg is barely a thing and was never a competition to BBRae. I do think Beast Boy and Raven might have had slightly more bonding moments, but not a dramatic difference, and Beast Boy does actually have a canon romance arc while Raven and Cyborg both don't (Cyborg does have a crush on Jinx, but that doesn't really go anywhere, and KFJinx is probably more popular than CyJinx anyway).

I do think it would've been awesome if Jericho showed up more than just at the very end of the show, though. He might not have been so forgotten if he had more of a role in the toon. And yeah, if he'd become the default man to ship Raven with... I've said before that I think any Raven ship becoming popular could lead to the current bad characterization and I still stand by that, but I think it might not have been as bad with Jericho because his personality isn't as abrasive in contrast with NTT Raven's. Who knows, though.

Do you ship Superboy and Wonder girl?

Sorry, I don't really have a whole lot of DC ships... What ended up in that post was about the extent of my tastes for those fandoms. I'm not even that strong of a Dick/Barb or Batman/Catwoman/Wonder Woman fan. I'm more casual with them. XD CyJinx and BBRae are my ones for Teen Titans... I'm okay with a sprinkle of BBTerra, but I wasn't a fan of Season 2's take on Terra. So I'd tweak her characterization a bit, and also dial back BB's simping. Kinda like Kazuichi with Sonia. That's just me. XD

As for Superboy... I've only really known him through Young Justice, and I don't have shipping preferences for him. I can't really remember if he and Wonder Girl interacted in that series... Although to be fair, I zoned out as Season 3-4 were airing. Because they were more about setting up Darkseid/Apokolips stuff, and moved away from the Light group of supervillains. Again, just me. n__n;;;

As for Wonder Girl... Ah, I think I mixed her up with Galatea/Supergirl... All the same, I don't have many memories of Wonder Girl in YJ. Can't say I ship Superboy and Wonder Girl, I'm just neutral with their characters in general.

hello! can i ask what your opinion on robrae is? i was 6 years old when TT03 came out & was immediately hooked. it was my favorite show & still is. i rewatch it a few times a year & didn't ship them growing up (i was all about robstar & bbrae).

but as i grew up & got onto tumblr to see varied ships talked about (cyjinx, robrae, cystar, etc), i began to notice the level of understanding between them.

i've noticed a lot of animosity toward the robrae ship specifically in the TT03 fandom & i totally understand why a lot of people see the relationship as purely platonic with more of a brotherly/sisterly type bond. i still ship robstar & bbrae, don't get me wrong! but something about how robin & raven connect on a deeper level & trust one another enough to deadass go into each other's MINDS just makes my heart do funny things. especially raven. & the way robin holds her after she collapses at the beginning of the end part 1?! oh my god. i fall to pieces every time 😭

sooo.. sorry for rambling. they're really special to me & i have nobody else to talk to about it haha. if you don't like them together i totally understand! i want your 100% honest opinion.

(also i was 7 & got hooked when i first saw it when it reran in 2012 so we’re basically twinning 😍 (minus the ~10 year difference))

i talked a bit about how i feel about Robrae in my other post about Robstar, but to be fair it was 1. long and 2. written at 3am so it probably wasn’t a very good explanation. but i will still include it here:

it’s true that they grow to be very close with each other, and as the show goes on, they’re shown to care for each other a lot— but it’s not the kind of love that robin and star have. i think my biggest point towards them being siblings is in The End, when robin goes to basically-hell to save raven. when he finds her, she’s physically and mentally younger, and doesn’t even recognize him at first. robin does approach her as her friend, but also treats her as one would with a real child. even when she remembers him, he doesn’t change his behavior with her. i really do think he sees her as his younger sister.

i know that normally they are very close in age, and have similar levels of maturity. but lemme tell u something. i have a younger brother, and we’re very similar to each other. i mean ok his interests r a bit different (he was on a wrestling team during hs while i sat on my computer and studied the tt wiki (which is amazing u should go look at it if u haven’t)). but other than the parts that make us unique (and the fact we aren’t related to each other at all), i often find myself forgetting that he’s younger than me. until we’re sitting in the backseat of our older brother’s car after a long day of walking, and he starts to fall asleep. and he falls to my side. and suddenly my brain starts running a mile a minute, as i realize that because we’re so close he isn’t afraid to sleep beside me. and ok yes this absolutely the brainrot talking but i believe this is how robin was feeling when raven trusted him to save her, to defeat her father— to protect her. of course robin is better trained and therefore didn’t freeze up like i did but whatever!

anyway. i do see them as a sibling relationship BUT i understand your view of them. and i remember that sometimes in the 03 comics, there’d be moments that definitely shipped Robrae. so this is not something to be ashamed of! these are fictional characters with fictional relationships, and therefore we (as the fans) are free to view their stories however we want.

tbh, i the main reason that i will never ship robrae isn’t because im a “diehard Robstar shipper”, but instead because im gay and aromantic, and that puts a wrench in understanding romantic relationships— especially mlw ones. i find myself unable to relate to robrae. the only reason i ship robstar at all is because i know that they’re a great couple, and i remember when i related more to starfire and definitely shipped them as a kid. but now i relate most to robin, and so it’s hard to ship things like robrae. or even robstar, because i find myself unable to tell the difference between liking & caring for someone a lot as a friendship vs liking & caring for someone a lot as a romantic relationship.

i’ve made some posts now about how i see Cyborg & Robin as brothers and best friends… which is true, but sometimes i view them as a romantic pair (Cyrob). i think it’s because i like men that shipping these two together is something i like, versus shipping robrae. of course, my aromanticism still makes it hard to decide once and for all if i see them as friends or as potential partners. shipping is hard :(

anyway. all of this was to say that i understand why you ship Robrae and why i personally don’t. i’m happy that you asked very nicely because as we’re both aware, people have been having robstar/robrae shipping wars since the dawn of time (2003) and are often mean so thank u for being nice and i hope i was too!!!
