Cyclamen libanoticum (Lebanon cyclamen) is a species of flowering plant in the family Primulaceae. It is native to a small area in the mountains of Lebanon, northeast of Beirut.

I started this drawing of @peonycats Lebanon oc a while ago, when my family in Lebanon has barely just managed to escape. Thankfully, my aunt, uncles, and three little cousins got out with their lives. I've worked on this piece on and off in these past weeks as I followed the news, and although I'm grateful a ceasefire has technically been reached, Isreal continued to violate it. I just hope that one day my cousins will be able to live in their home country and not have to be afraid of this happening ever again. I want to thank Peony for letting me draw their Lebanon and for making such a wonderful oc of him, and also wanted to ask any of you with the means to please consider donating to the Lebanese Food Bank and Gaza Soup Kitchen.

Flower Asks

Aubrieta: Favorite drink? My favorite drink is actually a throwback to another time (so I’ve heard.) So I’ll say hot chocolate instead XD But the kind you mix with hot milk as opposed to water. It’s creamier.

Black-Eyed Susan: If you could be any animal for a day, what would it be?Honestly I don’t really want to be an animal. Maybe a bat or a little dog just to see how they view the world, process thought and communicate. That way I’d be better able to understand my pets.

As for the bat, well…this is me we’re talking about.

Blazing Stars: What are you afraid of? Is there a reason why? I’m afraid of a lot of things for a lot of reasons. Most prominently that my ambitions and aspirations will never come to fruition. Try saying that five times fast.

Common Boneset: What are you looking forward to? Right now? Checking out Target on my way home. 

Cyclamen: Did you have a favorite stuffed animal as a child? What was it? I did! A cute bunny plushie I got for Easter one year. I still have her :)

Freesia: What are three good things that have happened in the past month? Uh…1) I finally got Sweet Screams Ghoulia and Creepateria Draculaura (although I was disappointed in the latter doll)2) My dog is *knock on wood* cancer-free.3) I drew fanart for an author and she loved it.

Gladiolus: What is something you hope to do in the next year or two? I want to finish the first draft of my stupid novel and also publish and write more short stories.

Glory-of-the-Snow: What are ten things that make you happy/you’re grateful to have in your life? Plantain Lilies: If you could go back in time, what is one thing you would stop/change? You know…that’s a tricky one. Sometimes I wish I could go back and live the college life in full as opposed to just existing. At the same time…would I be the person I am now if I changed who I was then? I kinda like who I am now.On a lighter note I’d try to convince the Hasbro writing team to incorporate Sunset’s subplot in “Friendship Games.” We seriously needed that.

Tropical White Morning Glory: Describe your aesthetic.My entire blog is my aesthetic XD1800s gothic fiction, 1930s horror/THE ORIGINAL Dark Shadows, Monster High+Equestria Girls/Sailor Moon.

Tulip: What would be the best present to get you? Literally anything from any of my fandoms, especially the spooky ones~

Wisteria: How many books have you read in the past few months? What were they called? One :’D “The World of Ice and Fire.” Great book, fascinating book but it takes a while to get through. Almost finished though!

Mikorei Week 2017!

Hello everyone! I bring you the prompts for this year’s Mikoreiweek!

The overall theme will be Language of Flowers. 

WHEN WILL MIKOREIWEEK START?

Mikoreiweek will be held on September 25 (that will be a Monday) up to October 1, 2017, but if you are busy, don’t worry, you can still submit on October 2 up to October 8! That will be the late submissions week.

WHAT CAN YOU SUBMIT?

1. You can submit fanfics, fanarts, playlists, edits, cosplay, comics, whatever you like, provided that the submissions are related to the theme(s) and revolves around our favourite pair, Mikorei. 

2. You can submit any type of work provided that you put the necessary warnings. We don’t want anyone to get triggered all right? If it is an art or a comic that has dubious consent and the like, of course it is imperative that you have to make use of a text post so that the people who are uncomfortable with stuff like that can’t view the whole of your submission, and that the people that are fine with it can bask in the brilliance and the sin of your work. 

GUIDELINES

1. Tag your work with mikoreiweek2017 with no space in between. 

2. It is entirely up to you how you interpret each theme. Be as creative as you can be! Which means the setting of your work can be an AU or in canon verse. Reishi and Mikoto can be in a romantic relationship or can just be friends/rivals or whatever. You can twist each theme to suit your purpose. There’s no stopping you, so pull out those artistic juices. 

3. The themes are the meaning or meanings of each flower featured on a day. If there are two meanings for a flower as specified, you can choose either or if you wish you can incorporate each meaning in your work.

That being said, the featured flower for a particular day need not be the focus of your submission, but if you wish, you can submit a work that gives it a slight amount of focus, or none at all. It can also be the sole focus of your submission. Like, if you wish to submit a fanart/edit you can  create mikorei + the particular flower, that is acceptable.

anemone of the faires beware they’re forsaken love, the cyclamen only warns of death and departure, while the begonia can reconnect with loved ones and family it serves as a warning beware, this yellow carnation does not bring love only rejection and disappointment as it’s meaning.

The Amazing Digital Circus | Pomni

Ohhhh here I am, milking the Big Indie Show. I quite liked ep 1, but I've been on the fence about 2 and 3, since the 'find an exit' central focus has kind of been dropped. I get that the exit was fake, but I still feel that Pomni should be a lot more annoying (ask questions) about anything and everything regarding how the circus works. It's only at ep 3 (at time of creating this post), so we'll see how I feel about the future eps.

Really like the pose I came up for her here. Very anxious 🌚. That's the thing I've really enjoyed while making the sticker designs, I really want to convey the character's personality with their pose.

God, I love this guy. Can't believe I actually beat nkg.

Would've made it nkg cause cmon it's nkg, but I like normal grimm's colour scheme better.

Top version is the edited/new one (done on 10/14/2024). While the fire isn't nearly as prominent, I like it a lot better than the former version.
