Okay it’s like 2 AM. But Percy and Annabeth struggle to have a baby for a long time. Mortal fertility doctors say there’s nothing wrong and so they know it’s the gods. More specifically, it’s Hera being a petty bitch. They make offerings to Demeter and Dionysus hoping that blessings from the other fertility gods will help offset Hera’s doings. Annabeth gets pregnant, but Hera is still the goddess of child birth, so she miscarries. After that they stop trying for awhile. It’s too painful. They focus on the demigod kids they foster instead. After awhile, Annabeth gets pregnant again. They haven’t made any more offerings, but Percy wonders if Mr. D still remembers all that Diet Coke and gold. In any case, they’re holding their breath, making lots of offerings, including to Hera. They don’t tell anyone until it’s unavoidable because she’s showing. They don’t look at baby name books or have a baby shower or anything, too afraid of getting attached, of facing that loss and pain again.
But apparently Hera’s found her compassion, because Annabeth gives birth to a healthy baby girl—Annabeth’s spitting image, except for her sea green eyes and the freckles on her cheeks. She’s their little miracle, and the day she is born they burn so many offerings for Hera, it’s a little ridiculous. And some for Dionysus and Demeter, just to be safe.
(What they don’t know: Dionysus has a soft spot for that kid Peter Johnson, and is always down to pick a fight. He never really got along with his step-mom anyway.)

shizunitis mark of tumblr dot com… what does he ponder…
demon emperor luo binghe (-ge variant) meets shen yuan who becomes his loyal confidant and advisor just fresh out of the abyss. sy stays unobstructive and away from the emperor most times. he visits the palace every few years for a longer period of time to check up on binghe and offer any advice he might have. while he’s there, lbh’s wives and guards keep like. disappearing, dying, etc. it is heavily implied throughout the fic that, through how when shen yuan leaves the palace the disappearances/deaths stop, shen yuan is the culprit.
lbh refuses to believe this. he would not want to ever lose shen yuan. he looks forward to his visits and is happy when he’s there, something he won’t squander with speculations and offensive accusations.
but the thought lingers. shen yuan is clearly distancing himself from lbh, has been for decades, but now it’s more clear than ever. he cuts their meetings short. his visits become shorter and farther apart and, if lbh were to stop and think, he’d realise that shen yuan’s visit this time was highly unusual in its timing and sudden announcement.
finally, the evidence is stacked against shen yuan, who is spotted leaving the harem with blood on his clothes, looking angry. he is brought to the emperor in chains, and his eyes are empty as he stares up at lbh from where he’s made to kneel. the guards announce a wife was found near-dead in her chambers, and is unresponsive. the emperor listens to the accusations and drags shen yuan away himself, locks him in a room, and goes to have a terrible think. he accepts he doesn’t want to kill shen yuan, even still. he goes to find shen yuan again, to demand an explanation, but shen yuan is refusing to speak.
lbh is called away by an emergency in the human realm. he secures the room shen yuan is held in, and goes. when he comes back, exhausted from battle, he finds shen yuan speaking to shang qinghua, who had long been thought dead. lbh eavesdrops: the truth of shen yuan and sqh’s transmigration is revealed and shen yuan comes clean about what happened that night: he was helping one of lbh’s wives, who’d gone through a miscarriage. he was angry at lbh: he doesn’t say much other than speak about lbh’s cruelty, and how he hadn’t expected it to be this bad, but the underlying sentiment is clear.
sqh reassures him that “the plan” is going smoothly and the mushroom bodies are ready. lbh remembers them from when he encountered an enemy using them for their own ends, and puts two and two together.
but he hesitates to act. he could clear the misunderstanding up, he could explain and ask shen yuan for guidance, as he always had, but the truth is he doesn’t know that shen yuan would ever forgive him. he’d neglected his wife in a time of need, who had to call upon another man to save her, putting both in an impossible position. he’d imprisoned and mistreated shen yuan, who’d been with him for decades at this point. he’d done many things to drive everyone away. if shen yuan wants to be rid of him, shouldn’t he be allowed that?
this is where xin mo kicks in and lbh can’t hold himself back. he reveals himself. sqh disappears in a flurry of snowflakes, and shen yuan is left to defend himself against an angry, xin mo-fueled luo binghe who’s clearly just back from war. lbh slashes a portal in the air and pushes shen yuan towards it. shen yuan asks lbh to wait, that he has something important to say, he can’t leave just yet, he needs to listen to him; with the last of his sanity lbh demands shen yuan never return, unless he’d like to die with no back-up plan to fall on this time, and finally pushes him past the gaping maw of xin mo’s portal. then he has a quick and breezy breakdown.
the next day, lbh declares shen yuan dealt with. but oh! what’s this? the murders continue! it was not shen yuan after all?! some wives had demanded he be left alive, but everyone had thought them insane! it was actually a wife this whole time?! and liu mingyan and ning yingying were the first ones to notice?! and they brought their case to the emperor demanding justice?! and sha hualing was the first to rally her forces and go against the murderer, only to be imprisoned away from the palace, months ago?! and shen yuan released her and brought her back to the palace and begged she not tell anyone, least of all luo binghe?! oh my!! oh no!!
anyway. yeah thats. that’s what’s on my mind right now.

Hello hello! I have an angsty slick Sunday submission for you today 👀
So I learned today via Instagram (because we all know what the American education system is like) that a pregnancy depends largely on the male partner’s health before the pregnancy.
Now… we all know Eddie’s diet consists largely of Spaghetti-o’s, Yoo-hoos, beer, and the like, to say nothing of the weed and the physical exercise he most likely does not do.
I think you can see where I’m going with this.
Alpha!Eddie meets the love of his life in omega!Steve, they bond, they go into heat/rut, and Steve gets pregnant. They’re thrilled.
Steve’s doing all the right things, he’s on all the right medicines and supplements, he’s (lightly) exercising, he’s hydrating… all the things.
No one knows why he loses the baby.
(Please hear me out- even if it was widely known in the 80s that the father’s health had an impact, Steve would never blame Eddie.)
No one knows why, but it happens, is the thing, and it hits Steve hard. He drops into depression, is nearly catatonic in his grief.
Eddie’s there for him throughout all of it. Of course he is. That’s his mate, he loves him, even through this. Of course he does. And Steve usually bounces back so easily… I mean, take a look at Starcourt, at the Upside Down. He wasn’t just hurt physically. In the case of Starcourt, he was literally tortured, and he pulled through just fine!
So of course he’ll pull through this.
And… he does. He pulls through. He’s not even just going through the motions any more; he’s genuinely enjoying life, Eddie can tell.
Still… it doesn’t stop the twinge of sadness he feels through the bond when Steve catches sight of a pup with their parents. He brings it up eventually, but Steve quickly shuts him down. He doesn’t want to talk about it.
So Eddie thinks, okay, he won’t talk, then maybe some direct action will work. So he tries.
Steve refuses to do anything unless Eddie’s got a condom on. Spirals halfway into an anxiety attack when Eddie doesn’t immediately understand.
They never do end up with those six little nuggets.
Steve never does lose that twinge of sadness when he sees a pup out with their parents.
He knows he can never have that.
convinced you guys hate me and want me to be sad all the time🥲

Pokemon Sleep would tell you if you had a miscarriage during the night. This was done by just popping up text that said "miscarriage" next to the other sleep tracking stats with no tact or emotional weight whatsoever.

six sentence sunday
Because if I don’t put this into existence it will eat a hole in my brain 😭 maybe it will be come something more maybe it’s just meant to inflict some pain 💔
(TW: mpreg , miscarriage)
The absolute shittiest part of it all was that he had fully planned to tell him.
From the moment Tommy slunk into the bathrooms at the back of the pharmacy where he begrudgingly finally just bought a test— his house was a whole five minutes away, there was no chance in hell he could wait that long— and peed on the stick, he knew if it was positive he was going to tell him immediately.
Even when it was, in fact, positive— after he wrangled his heart back into his chest and dry heaved over the toilet for a few moments— he fully intended to clear his head, put on a brave face, and tell him; he deserved to know.
It’s the universe who had other plans.
Still, as he sits in the cockpit next to Lucy, trying to remain calm and optimistic, maneuvering the bird to the 118’s crash site— gritting his teeth and not giving his attention to the intense cramping in his stomach nor the wet spot, that he he just knows is blood, soaking through his flight suit onto the seat beneath him— he has a brief moment of relief he never got the chance to tell him. It’s not like an unexpected baby would have been a good reason to try to mend their broken relationship anyway.
So sorry! Was thinking about the Grey’s episode were Meredith miscarries after Derek gets shot… and yeah. 😔💔
No pressure tags for @30somethingautisticteacher @judymarch15 @nine-one-wanton @sunnywithachanceofbi @herrmannhalsteadproduction
@somethingaboutfirefly @silversky9 @marvelousbuckley @kinardsevan @bidisasterevankinard
And anyone else who wants to share some sentences… maybe some happier ones 🫣💔

Angsty headcanons because why not (cw in tags)
Rapunzel had days in the tower where she just couldn’t motivate herself to get out of bed. Life just felt so boring and monotonous, pointless and endless, she felt no reason in moving, eating, breathing…
Moving to the castle and living a fast paced royal lifestyle was such a shift for her that she had regular breakdowns.
Eugene and Stalyan had a mutually toxic relationship but she was slightly physically abusive at times. Not horrendously, but enough that Eugene still flinches when he’s around her again.
Lance has never been in an actual relationship. Just situationships and hook-ups. He doesn’t have much time to date outside of raising two kids and having a job. He doesn’t let the loneliness set in but if he looks at Rapunzel and Eugene with some jealous bitterness on occasion..well, that’s his business. (The guilt is worse than the loneliness)
Quirin’s father died when he was 14 and was very emotionally distant. As Quirin felt death looming over him in the amber, he realized he was repeating the cycle.
Neither Hector nor Adira ever knew their parents.
Rapunzel still harbors some body image issues from Gothel repeatedly making comments about her weight and appearance. As much as she loves sweets and trying new food, sometimes she restricts her plate when she feels like she’s gained too much weight lately.
Honestly, Rapunzel, Eugene, and Varian all suffer from eating disorders to an extent.
Werewolf transformations are painful for Catalina and can be borderline unbearable. Somedays it’s seamless, some days it feels like her skin is tearing itself. As an adult she’s covered in stretch marks.
Kiera has a tendency to be too controlling because she feels like she has no control over her life
Varian still suffers from anger issues, he tends to bottle everything up so he isn’t as angry as he used to be, and so he doesn’t dwell on the anger like he used to; but it backfires in tantrums and outbursts- mostly on his loved ones.
Eugene can be incredibly overprotective of the ones he loves, as he has never had a family before and he doesn’t want to risk losing what he’s dreamed of his entire life.
One day when Eugene had pissed Varian off with his hovering, Varian yelled at him to “just lock him up in a tower” and the two didn’t talk for a week after that. Mostly because Varian felt too guilty to be around him and vice versa.
Arianna and Frederic tried for more children after Rapunzel, solely just to secure their lineage, but she miscarried everytime. Arianna feels guilty, but, she’s glad she did.
Cassandra made multiple attempts on her own life after she left Corona. Luckily they all failed.
Varian has an incredibly weak immune system due to his time in prison.
A plague swept through Corona the first official year of Rapunzel’s reign. Luckily she didn’t get sick, but Eugene, Catalina, Kiera, and Varian did. Eugene almost died.
Out of everyone, realistically, Eugene and Varian are going to be the first to die. Rapunzel is the last.

To those with abusive mothers, who have have a miscarriage, who have had to have an abortion solely due to circumstances, who are still waiting for technology to help them become parents, who are struggling to conceive, who have had to give a child up for adoption, who are hounded for their decision not to be a parent, to those who may not know their mom, who have been forcibly separated from their family- You're not a bad person or broken if today stings, be gentle with yourself.

Evil spec: 911 gave madney baby so easy bc they are not gonna continue with it. Kidnapping would lead to miscarriage and Maddie won't be able to get pregnant again and she and Chim would need to get over the grief of unborn child and that biologically they won't be able to have more
But just think. For new baby you need to find new child actors, pay them and make schedule around them

I too am bored. Hmm... Sampreg? There is always sampreg to talk about
sampreg! yeah there is definitely always that to talk about. i almost brought it up to my sibling today but then i was like. Wait. That’s not a normal conversation topic for people.
anyways i think sam should have gotten pregnant by ruby first, and then dean. ruby’s baby doesn’t carry due to the demon blood messing with the pregnancy, but dean finds out and makes it his mission to impregnate sam before anyone else can.

On my recent rewatch I felt the inspiration to design my headcanon for what Dr. Potterswheel's late wife might have looked like! Born Marie-Thérèse Praxineaux, her maiden name is based off of the Praxinoscope which is an animation device that came after the Zoetrope
Tumblr media
Voice: https://youtu.be/2MaiJtecGmI?si=H6h5nLCUQsk9039K
CW: Dr Potterswheel's gore fetish, infection, death, miscarriage,
She moved to Moralton because you know The War and was shunned because of the rumors around town of her being a foreigner and France being a place of sin and lust. The librarian there gave her a job because she assumed no moralton man was going to be interested because of her reputation and took pity on her. Oh another reason the moraltons hate her lol, France is a majority Catholic country. Marie was part of the minority there that was Protestant but obviously the Moraltons didn’t care.
In comes a young Quentin.
He was studying for his medical school exams and often came in, staying the often inaccurate statesotan medical books for long hours. Sometimes when it was just the librarian and the two of them she would avoid him at all costs, not wanting to further her reputation.
He was aware of Marie-Therese, she was pretty and always helpful when she knew where to find a book he needed.
One day some kind of accident happened, not serious enough that she was in any real danger but enough that she needed medical assistance. Maybe a bookcase fell on her and she needed some stitches?
M-T was not one to speak up or make a fuss, but Quentin had a handsome deep voice and spoke with so much authority. He did his best to reassure her she would be ok and in a sense it coaxed the words right out of her. She had a way with words and could describe her pain like she was painting a picture, I like to think she enjoyed writing poetry, but you and I both know that’s not why it attracted him so intensely.
Despite the town doing its best to shun her she still attended church every Sunday and every Sunday Quentin would inquire about her wounds progress and ask to see it. One day a few weeks after her wound had healed they were conversing and Marie-Therese joked sadly that they could no longer be seen together as she didn’t have the excuse of being his practice patent.
At which point Quentin proposed. It wasn’t the most romantic affair to most, he said it matter of factly as he does most things. But that was ok, she would have the bedside manner and the way with words for them both.
Their relationship itself….well they had a foot up on many Moralton couples as they were truly in love. Many would consider Marie a fool as he was not the most romantic man. He was soft when she would fuss or worry (think about the way he spoke to Bloberta when she said her wound was bad) but when she really took issue with something he wouldn’t get more emotional, but even less, she found herself at times disheartened at the way he would dismiss her worries and talk down to her. She insisted to her newfound housewife friends that they just didn’t know him like she did, which was *sort* of true.
She honestly didn’t mind his “preferences” she assumed that taking charge was what a husband was meant to do in the bedroom, and that a “little” pain was just what a good Christian woman had to put up with after a life of chastity. When she had other wounds and he would take a bit too much of a vested interest she thought it was just his way of showing he cared. She never understood why he would discourage what he called “unnecessary” medications like, allergy meds, antacids, etc. always feeding her a line about the lord helping those who help themselves.
She tried her best to become more like the other wives of Moralton, she even took up sewing and embroidery. She made a comment once about how she was just like him, sewing up patients. He stroked her head and smiled, “How cute. You’d worry yourself sick if anything important was counting on your little stick ‘n’ pokes.”
Things got better when they got the wonderful news that Marie was pregnant. Her pregnancy was very rough, unlike anything Quentin had ever seen. He would comfort her by telling her of the many strong mothers he had seen in his career so far, if she couldn’t handle the pain of the pregnancy how could she handle the birth? The smile he would give her when she would nod in agreement was all the soothing she needed.
She was nearing the worst of it when she used the last of her energy to embroider a handkerchief for him, with his initials on it. Sometimes he would use it to clean her face when she would cough up one thing or another, or wet it to soothe her forehead.
Of course she wasn’t *just* facing pregnancy complications, she had caught a whole other sickness entirely, an infection. The days went by and Quentin got more desperate. Out of love for his wife? Out of a need to prove his abilities as a doctor? Who knows. He would never admit fault for anything let alone a patient, he sure as hell wasn’t going to take the blame for losing the woman he cares for. He tried everything, except actual medical science.
Finally he relented and began to give her painkillers. I believe it would be more in character if he didn’t tell her. Visitors from the town and a young Reverend Putty suspected it but she was none the wiser. She used to say things like, “Ma moitié having you pray for me and care for me is so healing, I am feeling better already.”
When she could form full coherent sentences.
With the way medicine was at the time while some painkillers are safe for pregnant women these probably weren’t, but they weren’t what took her. It got to the point that she wasn’t herself anymore but spent her days lying in bed in a haze, barely awake.
She swore sometimes that she could see Quentin there at her side, watching her, even feel him stroke her hand. But when she got her eyes to focus he wasn’t there anymore.
One day Quentin went in for a morning check up and the sheets were covered in blood. He had lost his wife and his child in one fell swoop.
It was a horrific scene but she looked so serene. So comfortable. She was clutching his handkerchief.
Notes:
This takes place with the assumption that Moralton is not modern day, I headcanon Quentin to be around 50
This was fun, nothing is set in stone truly as this was part of a stream of consciousness conversation with my friend @cheonsa-n I’m fully up for criticism if anything seems out of character. I’m also happy to explain the reasoning behind certain choices!
I don’t personally buy the idea that Quentin killed his wife on purpose, a man with Quentin’s disposition who actually committed a murder wouldn’t resort to almost stabbing the man who accused him of it, that’s how you get people to think you killed your wife on purpose lol.
I hope you guys enjoy what I came up with. Their relationship isn’t fully this way as he was attracted to her and subjected her to some of the same treatment we saw Bloberta go through, but their marriage in my mind had a bit of a Madonna-whore complex flavoring to it. I also believe this is somewhat of an origin story for his habit of treating everything with almost exclusively painkillers. Marie-Thérèse couldn’t be saved but she was, as Quentin puts it, very comfortable when she passed.
In the AU where she lives she still suffered a miscarriage and Clay calls Dr. Potterswheel a babykiller instead. She is still as sweet as the day she and Quentin met but she isn’t particularly keen on giving Orel the time and attention he needs either, it’s too painful. When she does give him advice she tends to advise him to wait things out and not rock the boat. She tells him that good things come to those who wait.
