I need an espresso IV drip, but I'm up and on my way to work. Luckily, Neon sent me some really calming music last night, and it really helped me get some sleep- or else I would probably be calling out to catch up on rest x.x

Last night was really weird. Especially since my cats are normally very scared of people-so it made me really uneasy that they sat waiting at the door for almost an hour, like they used to when he came home from work. I want to be overreacting but they haven't done this since, and there was clearly someone out there on-and-off for an hour.

Gonna check with the front office when I get home to ask them if they saw anything odd. Cause our community gate is broken, but there's a couple cameras all over the complex. Briggs isn't happy either, since he knows Dabi-Ex tracked me down before to a friend's house, and sat parked outside after I got the restraining order.

Gonna be extra cautious over the next few days, but hopefully it will end up being nothing to worry about. Luckily Briggs will be here in a week and that'll make me feel much better.

I had some extra funds on my local cafe giftcard, and figured that since Briggs was still sleepy I'd grab us some coffee from around the corner. Which led to this confirmation of my himbo status (ᵕ—ᴗ—)

It's been really sad to watch the relatively quick demise of a 2yr long CharDM group that I originally made with friends.

It started off really strong, and we even did care packages since we live close to each other. Making fancy truffles for the person I had used to be one of the highlights of my month.

And then we had a new member join a few months ago, which was great at first but then 8 of the 12 in the discord group made a WhatsApp group. Pretty soon those 8 were only posting in the WhatsApp GC, and me & 3 other people were left with a mostly dead discord because we were the only ones interacting with each other. Pretty soon, the other 8 were only popping in to the discord to ask for when their next letter/package would be or drop hints as to what they wanted in them.

So I tried to warn them that I had been in rp groups like this in the past, and this is usually what dissolves them. You may not have "sarah" as your author- but sarah's extra special letter to your author then inspires them to send you something special, it's a cycle of fuzzy feels. It is absolutely your choice to invite whoever you want to a group chat, but when you exclude 1/3 of a group of friends and stop talking to them in the discord- you can't expect them to stay in the CharAnon group.

I left the group around Valentine's Day, when the person I had told me that I'm bad with finances- when I told her I couldn't afford to make the fancy truffles with expensive liquor this year because I lost my job at the hospital. Over the past few weeks, the discord has practically become just the 8 from the WhatsApp asking for updates on their surprises from their blurbo. It's just really depressing...

Back from my vacation. Not anything fancy, just had a few interactions and absolutely nasty anons that made me need to take a step back from the internet for a moment. I hope you've all been well! Gonna spend the next 2 days trying to catch up on the last week and half that I missed, but I gotta delete the anons first.

I do have good news though!

♦ I can finally share that the dude creeping outside our apartment complex has been arrested for breaking into an apartment a few doors down. i cannot thank those who donated money towards my camera enough because I'm pretty sure that's why he moved on from our landing. I still owe a few letters since finding out someone was actually breaking into units took a lot out of me-but I will get more out soon!

♦ I got a job, it's not the dream job (which still hurts) but it'll pay my bills and that's good enough for me rn. It sounds like I'm gonna have a lot of downtime between classes during training so I'm hoping to get some writing for FFG done, but we'll see. I was reminded of a very katsuki-coded interaction Briggs and I had awhile ago involving a thirst cooking tutorial that I think people would find entertaining ^^

♦ Made a dozen yaki-onigiri for this week's lunches and they came out so good! It's lemon-chive rice, with a general tso's minced chicken filling, and extra sauce on top. It went really well with the stir-fried zucchini ^^

♦ It's been so long since I've worn a skirt that I forgot I have shoujo manga legs lmao With the heat wave we've been having, I think it's gonna become a more regular occurrence (thigh warning below)
