CW: Snakes

I was once again inspired to turn a piece of Halloween decor into something TKB-related lol

It was hard to get the opalescence to really show in the photos, but here's my 'Diabound'. I plan to one of these days craft a set of wings, but for now, he is just a pretty noodle.

(Yes, I realize this particular snake has a rattle, but I'm pretending it doesn't. I tried really hard to use my paint to fill in the rattle detail, and it is less noticeable, but it's unfortunately still there. Idc. I saw snek and said it had to get a Diabound makeover)

When Naga Nyck is done eating, he has to yawn to realign his jaws. He has multiple rows of sharp teeth that poke out from his gums that then are resheathed like this:

It does spook Edo and Sean out first, but they just get used to it over time. They also help him keep his fangs clean by forcing his mouth open and wiping them down with a wet cloth

I've made an update my ttrpg The Serpent and The Spider!

This is a 2-player game about the relationship between a necromance and a sword-wielder and taking down corrupt corps. It's inspired by The Locked Tomb series.

Added numerous illustrations to the interior pages and back cover.

Consolidated the original 8-page zine and Session Prompt doc into a single 16-page zine

🧦- which item from your wardrobe would you give to your f/o?

for ME? i wanna give him my scarf. i don't normally like wearing scarves but my family keeps pestering me about them. (in general im not a fan of scarves, hats, or gloves <_<) but kaira is the type to get cold easily because of him being a snake yokai. so i like to imagine that the two of us would be walking together during the winter and he's shivering so i end up giving him my scarf instead. then he keeps it. i dont ever see it again. as for the other way around. his boa. but not in the traditional sense of giving? he's very fond of it but he wouldn't mind sharing it as long as he would be able to wear it as well ^_^

👀- what’s your favorite physical feature on your f/o?

for my truthful answer. i have thought more about kaira's fangs more than anything else in the world they're not as sharp as i see them in my ship but they're there!! they confirm what everyone was thinking!! everyone = me. other than his fangs. i like his eyes, they're very pretty to me and i like the blue and red tint he has in them >_<

🐶- if your f/o turned into an animal, what animal would they be?

his full title is "snake king kaira" i believe he would be a snake. but to make things more complicated for myself. i will now tell you which type of snake he WOULD be! boa constrictor...

They are nocturnal, but they may bask during the day when night-time temperatures are too low. As semi-arboreal snakes, young boa constrictors may climb into trees and shrubs to forage; however, they become mostly terrestrial as they become older and heavier.[29] Boa constrictors strike when they perceive a threat. Their bite can be painful, especially from large snakes, but is rarely dangerous to humans." it just fits kaira very much.

lonely guy who spent most of his life being alone. mostly seen at night unless its something important (like multiple times in the game you interact with him at night and when it is daylight he's not outside. its rather funny) plus he bites (me)

he's so tiny here. its a bit strange to not see him with his boa. its one of the rare alt costumes in which he doesn't have one afaik (i do need to go back to recount all the alt costumes he doesnt have it)

So when I originally wrote Hekate in the Cook and the Demon, this the snake I was basing her off if, just maybe a little more red and green eyes.

This is the Brazilian Rainbow Boa. It's usually pretty docile to handling, which I think would be a nice little irony since Hekate is the sin of wrath's emotion snake. That's also where I kinda got the inspiration that Hekate is just chill in hanging out in Penelope's shirt. These snakes can get up to 4-6 feet long on average with some getting up to 7 feet. I guess from what I read females are typically larger than the males.

But yeah if you want an easier time picturing Hekate that's what she based off of.
