Hospital Visit Went Well!

Guys!!!!!!!! We finally were able to make it all the way down to be able to see my dad. He was supposed to be released from the hospital but he is having a hard time. Currently he is down over twenty pounds and he feels so fragile. BUT he was in good spirits and cracking jokes and being his same goofy self. He even walked down to an area where kids are allowed to see the girls (no one under 12 in the cancer unit)

I miss my dad so much and I had a hard time not crying all over him. He was talking about wanting to have a family reunion when he is better. Wants to buy my mama a real wedding ring. Things were so tight when I was growing up that he couldn’t ever afford one but he has been stashing away ten dollars here and there.

I want to thank everyone who has been so kind to us. He is a good dad and an even better grandpa.

Unfortunately it’s going to be a rough fight. Doc says it’s stage three but everyone is optimistic. Mama is trying to be but it’s rough. Before they got the cancer diagnosis my dad hurt his back and was in the hospital for almost a month. They couldn’t figure out why he was taking so long to heal. Know why now don’t we?

She might lose her job. With him needing so much care this time on top of the back injury. So we really need all the prayers and well wishes you can give. If you are able to help financially that would also really help out too but prayers for sure. Again thank you all so much for your support and prayers.

I know no one’s gonna read this but I just needed to let it out.

I’m reading this story about a rich and powerful grandpa who gets saved by Jia. Grandpa adores Jia because she treats him better than his family. He adores her so much he schemes to have her apart of his family by arranging Jia to marry his grandson, Hua.

Now on to what I needed to say because a scene made me fully believe that if Jia were to ever cheat on Hua, grandpa would blame Hua for getting cheated on. And if Hua were to ever cheat on Jia, grandpa would 100% beat him up and force him to apologize to Jia. This man just adores her so much it’s funny to read.

Jia and Hua are such couple goals that aren’t regularly seen in Chinese novels. For an example, when there’s misunderstandings they get resolved quickly by my favorite trope ✨good communication✨ and they don’t let the drama that affect their relationship drag out. Secrets? Bah the other knows about within 24 hours.

It’s just so refreshing to read because there aren’t many like it.

I had a very odd dream where a train (or bus?) I was on got yanked into another world. While my dream had nothing to do with SVSSS, it did have my waking self thinking about how hilarious and/or horrifying such a thing could be as an AU.

Imagine Shen Yuan riding the subway, train or bus one day, when something happens and his whole car gets yanked into the world of PIDW. Nobody else in the car knows anything about PIDW, so Shen Yuan finds himself with the self imposed task of keeping this eccentric group of strangers alive in a weird world full of demons, monsters, and aphrodisiac plants.

The group’s first assumption would probably be that they’re still on modern earth, and just got teleported somewhere. Their second assumption, if they come across common folk, might be they somehow ended up in the past.

Then they run into some monster, or people riding on swords with specific uniforms, or a commoner mentions a name or event only Shen Yuan recognizes. The rest of the party debates what sort of Xianxia or Wuxia world they’ve ended up in, while poor Shen Yuan sweats bullets. He knows exactly what world they are in, and they are so screwed.

I have this image of poor beleaguered nerd Shen Yuan successfully protecting and leading this group of primary school kids, their cute teacher, and a handful of grannies and grandpas, while all the other adults and older teens keep wandering off and getting themselves in trouble.
