I made a few new wax seal stamps out of clay (like the ones I did for my worldbuilding stuff forever ago), this time just of random symbols that I thought might look good done in the style of painting over the raised part of the wax or etc. :0c Some of them aren't carved deep enough to really show up that well, but overall they worked okay for being clay lol

thoughts about masks (writing transcribed + other notes below)

- paint comes from flowers. really easy to make so a lot of kids paint their masks too!

- patterns can be based on the realms, one’s flock (family/friends), or something they like. can also be seasonal symbols.

- example given prairie might have bird *or manta (i ended up drawing the prairie/forest temple version) patterns, or symbols from there.

- masks are sometimes painted to reflect a rite of passage (eden, prophecy trials, et cetera).

- sometimes mask painters create very ornate masks! for art…or for sale.

-would also go alongside mask carving too. though painting is easier for younger skyfolk!

Hi tumblr, I'm getting back to my Eldritch Alien Eclipse au :)

He's an alien overlord who's been trying to talk to humans who enter his domain for centuries, but they either die entering his airspace or spontaneously keel over when he tries to talk to them, and he's not sure why???

Then there's y/n. Y/n was the pilot for their ship, and ended up in debris at the edge of Eckipse's territory after an unexpected space-bandit attack. They were really frail and injured, not expected to survive, but they were the one to pull through. For some reason, they can speak to Eclipse w/o their brains imploding.

Y/n is basically Eclipse's advisor, companion, and tomagatchi (pretty much). They eventually want to connect Eclipse to other humans and get new allies for Space Relations reasons, but first they have to find a way for him to communicate w/o killing anyone.

Day twenty: Some indoor "outdoor” trash cans!

I don’t always have a nice place to keep the outdoor trash can... well... outdoors, so I thought I could try making some recolours that would make it look more like the kind of enamel coated/plastic trash can you’d see used inside. (We have a huge hot pink one for our recycling, personally.)

Then, while trying to find references images, I found that some people with these sorts of trash cans paint them with really fun kitschy folksy designs, and I thought that would be an adorable way to add personality to Sims’ houses. So - you get ten solid colour plastic/enamel-style trash cans, five patterned painted trash cans, and four striped painted trash cans. The handles are mapped oddly so they pick up some of the side texture, but... I don’t care, lol.
