who is Moonzy? I had no awareness of their existence until Ranboo moved to the US and suddenly Moonzy was in almost every irl stream? When/how did they meet? Are they living together? Where did Moonzy come from? I think I must have missed all the details bc I have no idea who they are lmao

moonzy is a creator ranboo used to interact with a lot with back during the very early beginning of their streaming career! (moonzy is genderfluid and uses they/them pronouns) they were a member of bearsmp back in the day if you remember that (a mc server aimsey and guqqie were on) ranboo and them didn’t have much public contact after 2020, up until just a few months ago where it seems they’ve reconnected :D ik during one of aimseys recent subathons they spent a lot of time chilling together in vc

also they aren’t living together no, moonzy has their own place, but they’ve been traveling together a lot and im sure moonzy has been helping ranboo move too. im sure it’s been a big help having them bc moving countries away from ur close friends is not easy at all, so having them has probably lessened that whole stress yk

but yeah :D moonzy is primarily on instagram here, streams at moonzycat on twitch and has a youtube channel here. they also post on twitter occasionally here! go follow them they’re absolutely lovely and im so glad to get to see them and ranboo hang out and see more of their friendship ^_^

HOLY FREAKING CRAP!!!

Rae hit the back of Ranboo’s mask when he entered the museum room, that’s when they lost any semblance of control.

He was always a bit lax but before this they were at least bothered by and concerned with defending their actions. But when the showfall person hit the button the logo began to glow.

Afterward their facial expressions were noticeably more intense. Their dialogue was stilted and their tone was flat. He was unconcerned with the death of his peers and was even immune to the lasers. The game was rigged in his favor to begin with but it only becomes increasingly clear from this point onward (everyone dying in his stead and taking hits meant for him, Sneeg defending him from Austin and not even trying to save himself from the final wall). This is when it became obvious, he didn’t care to play the game or engage meaningfully with any of the others. They were not themself. Ranboo accepted no responsibility for his actions and had no empathy for the others, even as slimetowel cursed their name, saying “You did this!!!” , Ranboo just winced and said “I didn’t do this, this is all you.”

Everyone in these games �� these episodes — is under Showfall’s influence, but Ranboo was always their chosen hero. They just were a bit too soft, a bit too remorseful for their liking, so they got rid of it. The show needs a hero, they can’t change the cast halfway through, but they can make sure Ranboo is only what they need him to be.

What is Generation Loss: Unperson?

Unperson is a Generation Loss AU written, illustrated, and narrated by yours truly!

The story begins as canon-adjacent to Generation 1 (the first chapter, Savior's Stigmata, is technically a prologue, in that it takes place during the events of episode three of The Social Experiments). In chapters 2 and onwards, the cast of TSE begin an adventure anew.

Showfall Media has revolutionized the field of interactive entertainment. In Hetch's Social Experiments, this entertainment took the form of three consecutive livestreams, which the audience could actively participate in and, ultimately, decide the fate of the Hero [i.e. Generation 1 of Generation Loss]. Now, Showfall Media is proud to bring you entertainment through an even more immersive medium: video games.

Anathema Annihilation is Showfall's most innovative use of "Phantoptics" technology to date: a video game where one's choices really matter and actively impact the world we live in.

Charlie awakens in a new environment and with a new purpose as the face of the beta tester's Hero avatar. Elsewhere, Ranboo has been revived, reprogrammed, and repurposed with a new face of his own: a biomechanical, bestial antagonist known as "The Devourer".

The player character - the Hero (who we know to be Charlie) - joins forces with a helpful non-player Companion (Sneeg) to eliminate a wide range of enemies - known as "Anathemas" - across multiple levels, each culminating with a fight against a powerful boss: an "Abomination".

Depending on the player's Variant choice, the theme (and therefore appearance and ability mechanics) of the Anathemas, as well as the Hero and Companion classses, changes.

Regardless of the player's Variant choice, however, the Abominations always remain the same: previous cast members who have been previously rejected by an audience and have been revived and repurposed as biomechanical monstrosities.

As the Hero and Companion progress through the levels of Anathema Annihilation, their minds become increasingly plagued by questions concerning their memories, free will, and grasp of reality. But they are not the only ones cursed with introspection; the Devouerer, too, clings desperately on to whatever shreds of humanity it still possesses, and seeks, above all else, to avenge its friends.

Ok ramble time

Ok imagine you’re Tubbo. You just got your distant brother figure and your bestie off that damn mountain, though not in the most ideal way (I will make those comics eventuallyyy)

But that’s beside the point. You saved your best friend! You did something right for once! Except sike! your best friend hates you now, and you kind of hate him too (you let him know as much) then you guys stop talking. Which is fine, i mean, it’s not like he was your entire world.

You return to Snowchester! It’s a ghost town, obviously. There’s a memorial of you, decorated with fresh flowers and dusty knick knacks. The flowers are from Ranboo, he’s pretty sweet. He’s also been the one to upkeep your town while you were gone. You hang out with them a lot, they’re the only one who sticks around these days. They’re pretty sweet.

You try to go back to doing the things you did before you died. There’s those nukes you never finished making, so you work on them. And you work on them. And you work on them. And you get nothing done. Your brain feels scattered and far away, it’s impossible to focus. So you give it a break, you can afford to. It’s pretty safe these days with Dream gone, you know because you keep tabs on everyone on the server. There’s some strange things going on here and there but nothing too concerning. You hang out with Ranboo more.

Ah fuck, you two find a baby. It’s a piglin, infected but not fully zombified as it has enough thought to run up to you two for help. So you take it back to snowchester and give it potions to stop the infection. Ranboo is worried it won’t work, you tell him it probably won’t. But you reassure him that if it doesn’t, you’ll take it back to the nether to let it “live” out the rest of it’s days. (Do zombies live?) Ranboo spends the night in your attic with the piglin. He’s pretty sweet. Regardless you tell him to not keep his hopes up too high.

Next morning, it worked! You “dub thee Michael!” Ranboo is relieved. There’s a kid living in your house now.

There’s a kid living in his house now. The timeline becomes unclear at this point since I’m still figuring it out. But now that Michael is in the picture Tubbo starts getting worried. He realizes he has no way of protecting him. Maybe the syndicate come visit Snowchester and that shocks him into thinking about the nukes again. And so Tubbo starts throwing himself into projects again. And it starts getting ✨bad ✨

Honestly, It’s been really fun figuring out how Tubbo deteriorates because everything is so internal with him compared to Tommy. It’s obvious with Tommy, you could see him visibly fall apart (think his exile skins, he stops feeding himself, he doesn’t care when he takes damage) But with Tubbo it isn’t so obvious, atleast not right away. Sure his eye bags get darker and he stares off into space for a little too long. But he still looks put together. (Habitable maybe. Or a learned skill.)

Maybe he eventually gets the nukes working but they’re not as successful as he wanted them to be and that guts him. He takes it as another failure. What if he’s just cursed? Is everything he cares about forever doomed to feel like holding water in his hands? What is wrong with him?

I’m gonna share a song and explain this next part using its lyrics because I’m so ILL over it, it’s the most di!tubbo song ever. Throw on …Well, better than the alternative by Will Wood 👍

Tubbo’s feelings towards Michael is complicated… He absolutely loves him to death but he’s really apprehensive about being a dad. He has this fear that he’s going to somehow corrupt Michael and or fail to keep him safe. So he ends up becoming emotionally distant from him and at his worst he gives him up completely to Ranboo.

I think Ranboo and Tubbo get married as a joke at first. But Ranboo continues to love him so unconditionally and honestly and Tubbo catches a crush, which is absolute HELL for him at first sjdhdj. I imagine him being arospec so this crush is a completely new and surprising feeling and he doesn’t know how to handle it. So he doesn’t, and keeps playing it as a joke even as their relationship develops.

Also the repeat of “everybody’s up on everybody’s business” is very fitting for describing the server. There’s things to be developed here I just haven’t yet… I’m just thinking about the possibilities like the egg, the syndicate, las nevadas… hmmm

This song is begging to be made into an animatic because I can imagine Tubbo screaming at Tommy during this part. He was just trying to help the best way he could… yet things still end badly, and everyone ends up hurt… di!clingy oh di!clingy, they’re such a mess. A bitter, angry, grieving mess. Wait ok i wasn’t planning on writing grieving there but then my next thought was “who are they grieving?” EACH OTHER. THEY’RE GRIEVING EACH OTHER. o(-(

Flufftober 8 - Need A Hand? (Love languages)

You’re talking with Wilbur, waving your hands animatedly in the air, when you sense the shift. It's subtle, like the ripple of a breeze, but it's enough. It tells you Tommy's behind you and definitely about to hug you.

And yup, he does.

Arms snaking around your middle, head resting atop yours. He's warm, like always. You can't help but relax into him. Wilbur, Phil, Ranboo, and Tubbo are the only ones he's this touchy around. You suspect it's because of his whole "big man" shtick.

To your credit, you don’t stop talking. "-It's just bizarre! Who even does that?!"

Wilbur eyes you with amusement.

"Wankers, man." He answers. "Hey Tommy."

"Phil went to get us food." Tommy tells you two, and you can feel his words. 

It's been a long day with a lot of filming. He's probably tired and desperately wanting physical contact seeing as he couldn't be overly affectionate on camera. Which explains him right now. 

"We didn't give him our orders." You point out.

"I told him what you wanted and just hoped he knew what Wil wanted." Of course Tommy knew what you’d get. "What? Wil, why are you staring at me like that?"

To suppress your smile, you try to bite your lip. It's really unsuccessful, and Wilbur gives a small laugh.

"You're a cute couple."

If this had been Tommy at the beginning of you dating, he would've rocketed away. Probably blurt some curse words. But instead, he seems to sink further into you. At this point it must look absolutely ridiculous.

You don’t care at all.

"Next up you have to find someone to date." You tell Wilbur. "Honestly, it's quite sad that we have more game than you."

Tommy snickers. "Yeah, Wilbur. Do you need some relationship advice? Hmm? We're the masters."

"Fuck you." Wilbur bites. "You look stupid."

"And you don't?"

"I-" He starts to sputter.

"Exactly." Tommy huffs, straightening up.

Subconsciously you chase his warmth, leaning back and up just a little. Somehow Tommy notices the subtle movements and takes his spot again.

"How do you deal with him? And… this?" Wilbur asks you.

"Eh. I love it." You blurt.

"...ew." He says, turning away. "That's enough of you two for now."

When Phil comes back with all their food, Tommy's forced to unravel himself from you. 

"Cute, mate." Phil notes.

"Fuck off."

"You are an absolute dumbass." You deadpan, backing away from Tommy slowly.

"Who? Me?" He grins back at you, eyes sparkling.

Hell no. Without much thought to it, you turn tail and books it out of there. Within seconds his footsteps are following you, echoing loudly on the sidewalk as you both sprint through the streets of Brighton.

After a second, you realize you’ve wound yourself through the grass park. And, of course, you realize this right before Tommy tackles you and tries to murder you.

Okay, that's an overstatement. He tackled you, yes, but quite gently for Tommy. And when they went down, he made care to be the one hitting his ass on the grass.

Either way, you both get the wind knocked out of you.

"Fuck." You wheeze, rolling onto a patch he isn't occupying.

"Sorry." Is his similarly wheezing response.

Tommy regains his breath quick, leaving you struggling to intake air. Really, it's unfair how fast he regains it.

"I'm going to kill you."

"Hey! We can talk about-" he lets out a yelp when you send an elbow his way, careful it doesn't actually connect.

You move closer to him, and he cautiously tugs you so that youre resting your head on his shoulder. Perhaps with a little too much caution than your elbow warranted.

"You're okay?" He asks, somewhat sheepishly.

"Yeah, fine." You quickly answer, propping yourself up on your elbow to overlook him.

"I swear I didn't mean for us to hit the ground so hard."

"It's okay Toms, I know." 

He still looks mildly worried though, so you press a quick kiss to his lips. Before pulling back and laughing.

"What? What?!" He questions.

"You've got so much grass in your hair!"

You run a hand through it, ruffling his hair to try and get it all out.

"So do you!" He protests, ducking away from your hand.

"I make it looks fashionable, you look like you're about to transform into a blade of grass."

He gapes at you, mock-offended. "How. Fucking. Dare. You."

"I look fine right? This isn't stupid?" Tommy asks, frowning at his reflection in the mirror.

You sigh, walking around him to block his sight of himself. He's been staring at himself for ten minutes already, stalling the video. It was technically a prank video, making Tommy nervous as fuck.

"Yes, you look fine. It is stupid, and that's why it's perfect." You tell him.

Reaching out, you help fold and flatten his collar. He holds perfectly still for once, watching you as you fix it. 

Part of you wonders if this is how he'll look when you get married. If he'll wear a similar black tuxedo, the same white button up. He hasn't asked you to marry him yet. You aren’t sure if you care or not. You don't need a ring and some vows to establish your love for each other.

But still. Eventually, one day, you’d like to marry him.

"Perfect." You hum, stepping back. "See?"

"I feel like a kid playing dress up." He scowls.

"Because you are playing dress up, Toms. Come on, you were so excited."

"I know, I still am! Just... what if he doesn't take it well?"

"Tubbo's your best friend. Take it well or not, it'll be fine." 

Tommy nods, tugging on his suit jacket. "Okay. Let's do this."

I know exactly where. *Slams my fist on the desk.* ENDER KING POSSESSION AND ENDER WALK. Being manipulated by a [perceived?] higher being without their consent and to some degree without their knowledge. Doing things they'd never do in their right minds, hurting people they'd never hurt. Becoming cold and self-centered while controlled. Being terrified of how they can barely if at all control themselves.

Phil misses that kid a lot, actually. He was trying his best, and he can relate to just wanting to settle and belong somewhere while trying to put personal demons to rest or at least escape them. He's glad he could pass on some wisdom and give him a sanctuary while he tried to heal and move on.

He wishes he could've taught Ranboo how to not feel so guilty about things. And to have less shame. He started, but feels like he didn't make a lot of progress.

He hopes he'll cross paths with Ranboo again some day. He'd love to see how his Ender abilities have developed, how he's changed and matured, and same with Michael if he has the kid with him. Sometimes it makes him too aware of his immortality, but he does enjoy seeing how people he knew years ago have grown.

He had mixed feelings about Michael_Beloved. He certainly wasn't gonna hurt him whatsoever though, that's for sure. He enjoyed watching Techno's reactions to the kid.

He can't lie to himself, he was honestly kinda looking for some of the same weird quirks popping up while Ender King was possessing him as the ones he knew Ranboo was developing. He's SO grateful he didn't develop the weakness to water (*laughs in amfmn*)

To this day he wonders what Ranboo was doing with those water bottles he asked him to get. He's a bit concerned, but it's none of his business. 🤷🏼‍♂️

I'm not sure what they would've bonded over, if anything, pre-Syndicate, but they Were neighbors in New L'Manberg for a while. Phil really did enjoy it, he just had no interest in the government part. Living in NL was temporary while he got his bearings in this new realm (and recovered from the fresh trauma).

Consider it because he's a people pleaser if you want, but Ranboo was always really good at helping tend to Phil's fucked up wings. And as rich as he was, he always seemed to have health potions or a gapple or something on hand for Phil to have if he was having a bad pain day. That kindness has never left Phil's mind, and sometimes Quesadilla Island residents reminded him of it.

CURSE THOSE DAMN 2X1 RANBOO MINES THAT WENT ON FOREVER, HE STILL DREADS SEEING TUNNELS LIKE THAT TO THIS DAY.

He would've fucking loved to watch Ranboo fruit it up on Quesadilla Island. Sometimes he imagines how he'd react to seeing Phil fruiting it up and it makes him laugh. Tbf on Ranboo's part, to him Phil would've gone from "I have a wife who's a goddess and I don't need anyone else" to "This is my wife, my husband, my fuckbuddy, his boyfriend, my other fuckbuddy–"

Consider: Because Ranboo ended up in the Nether with Michael, Blaze Empress eventually tells Phil she's located them. It may not be HER Nether, but after QI, her and Rose are kinda like "fuck it, we ball" now. Especially because they wanna make sure Ender King isn't being a bitch in some other realm. They'll beat his ass together in every universe. Anyway: Phil hears she's found Ran and they become pen pals via Blaze.

I think Phil being possessed by Ender King with Ranboo's filthy rich ass in walking distance of his house would've been really fucking funny.

The two of them were so shit at referring to themselves as their Syndicate code names. And because of the way things played out, they never had the time to get used to using them at all. To this day they hear those names and just start laughing like idiots.

Tbh if they were to cross paths again now, Phil would be way more likely to be a "bad" influence on Ranboo. Fuck it we Bolas. (I am eating the concept of Ranboo picking up on Phil seeming,, wilder than the last time they met).

saw your au dungeon in dsmp and had to share an idea about it because oh my gods I might MASSIVELY start brainrotting otherwise-

I think it would be funny for kabru + Latios and co to see techno and assume monsters got out or he's a new monster(assuming he looks like a piglin on a massive furry scale of techno designs) only for philza (who looks very beastman-y but definitely is sane and sound in mind- if you ignore how good he might be at fashioning weapons and armor out of things from monsters and from the dungeon for his loved ones including benchtrio and how insanely old he is while still being young-ish) to go "naw he's just a silly shapeshifter"(relatively joking + affectionate)

later on due to some needs, maybe he finally relaxes? or he tires himself out drastically in a battle? he suddenly shifts into a more human and not pig-man form and everyone is "O_O" at him.

OH MY GOD I'VE BEEN THINKING ABOUT THIS ok so for this AU I've been thinking over how the dunmeshi world would try to understand what types of beasts/demihumans each dsmp member is. They're still completely what they were originally, but the dunmeshi characters keep trying to categorize them to fit them into their world (with the exception of Laios because I see him going like "Oh no you guys obviously aren't like anything we've seen. I'm gonna ask you a million questions though because I want to give you a NEW category") But anyway, here's how the dunmeshi characters view each member!! [entire explanation under]

Techno - At first they are just like. 100% sure he's an Orc. Techno doesn't really care at all what they think, but Philza gives off the vibes of "actually doesn't wanna get attacked on the surface" so he DEFINITELY tries to assure people "No he's just like- been cursed!!! To look all monstrous like this lol" (cus he's not sure how well they'll respond to shapeshifters, they might mistake Techno for a doppelgänger!) and Techno is like "What the fuck" for the most part but again. doesn't care enough. Philza - Genuinely they just thought he was an elf or half-elf for the longest period of time because he keeps his wings under his cape. Until he showed his wings and Laios freaked out thinking he was the first male harpy they'd ever recorded. Nope!! After that debacle they think of him like a Beastman like Izutsumi Tommy - Oni, probably an Ogre like Tade, though they are all quite curious on why his horns are "dyed" like that. Also why he's so small. Also why he's not from the east. Actually they don't fully think he's an Ogre at all it's just the first group they could put him with and they rolled with it Tubbo - I think they'd struggle the most with Tubbo. POSSIBLY?? They try to put him down as an Orc as well, but I think they'd just come to understand him like they do Philza, he's just a cursed Beastman. Ranboo - OKAY. So in the manga there's this character whos an elf called Flamela, and on the wiki at least (I can't be bothered to go through the manga for a proper refresher), it specifies that "her obsidian-like skin and silver hair are traits that are considered 'proof of true royalty.'." For this reason, I think it'd be fun if for the most part everybody, and ESPECIALLY the canaries, just think he's a really fucked-up royal Elf. Don't ask me how this makes sense it's just funny. Elves losing their mind over this "obviously lost member of our royalty" and he's just there

Okok at first i thought that Techno would 100% be a fire bender but after reading ur explanation it makes so much sense for his character to be a water bender

And (just an idea! You don't have to include it or anything) i would love to see people assuming he's a non bender bc he fights without using water and then he just STARTS CONTROLLING THEIR BODY!! BECAUSE THATS THE ONLY(?) FORM OF WATER BENDING HE KNOWS!!

Like- that could be a huge character arc for him; learning to use water bending in other forms

For me, I definitely see Tommy as a firebender, he's got a personality that could only be described as 'fiery', hes THE personification of fire;

Persistent, ambitious, never giving up, fiercely protective, and even, consistent and unchanging

Because if we take a look at his dsmp character, he's all of the above! And please let me explain the last two

Ctommy went through a lot of changes and situations but at his core level, he kept those same characteristics that defined him from the start of the story, till the very end.

Yes, he matured and grew up, yes he went through trauma that definitely influenced him heavily

But he (and if you'd allow me this comparison here>) never became a whole different person like i believe cwillbur did. Cwillbur went from an ambitious leader fighting against corruption and false-power to --not only siding with said self-proclaimed figures of power -- but also becoming so corrupt himself, that he got lost inside the chaos around him, and the chaos inside his mind

CTommy never did. Even if it became borderline obsessive at some point, he knew what he wanted/what the goal was;

The discs and L'manburg

The discs; a symbol of friendship to his best friend tubbo (reminding him of who was beside him at those early dsmp moments), and also a symbol of capability for himself. He alone acquired those discs. Not by stealing them, without any help. His first time having something entirely his. It's a symbol of strength, of confidence. A way of showing that he can do anything himself, if he wished.

And L'manburg; a symbol of revolution, of resistance against the ones hungry for power. A symbol of equality, togetherness, brotherhood, family even!

C tommy always stayed true to those two, whether it was the physical embodiment of those or the things they symbolised.

And i just realised I've been rambling about ctommy for around 10 paragraphs, the spirit of ctommy possessed me. I genuinely don't know what took over me, but im definitely not getting saved if im analyzing dsmp in our year of our lord and saviour Twich Prime, 2024

I like the idea of Techno only being able to bloodbend at first, and I think I may incorporate that more into his narrative more now.

What I was thinking for his backstory was that he was ostracised and cast out from his village as a young child, being born albino with red eyes instead of blue he was considered cursed (or at best the child of an affair), but when his bending talent manifested he could only bloodbend which scared his people thinking he was a demon or something, so they left him in the tundra to die.

He survived ofc, but the isolation and trauma of living alone for so long manifested the voices (like schizophrenia but I think maybe it's instead a sign of the blood god worsened by schizophrenic symptoms). He always had them, urging him to bloodbend, but they were worsened to become noticable during that time. The bloodbending and albinism being the blessing / incarnation of the blood god, kinda like Yue was of the moon spirit when she was a baby.

He later learns to control water too, but I think he's quite a skilled swordsman, so for his fighting technique that doesn't involve bloodbending he uses weapons he's waterbended into shape and turned to ice. I'm working on some designs for this I'll post later, but in his updated ref you can see a hilt on his belt which he'll make the blade out of ice with (he could do the whole thing, but it'd be cold and uncomfortable, as well as less structurally secure).

The pole on his back works to make his axe and stuff. Then I think he makes a trident out of plain ice. This also gives them the appearance of being blue like diamond gear which I think is neat.

Tommy is also such a great character to work with, even if Techno's my fav Tommy's probably going to be the main protagonist if I get round to making a narrative. You're so right that he embodies all the firebender traits, I think I will end up going with firebending for him now.

I'm not sure if I'll include c!dream in this au or not considering I'm not really into him, but he does have a lot of involvement in Tommy's dsmp lore and development. If I do bring him in then he'd probably do the classic manipulation, probably try to 'train' tommy or smth and isolates and controls him.

I imagine Tommy's bending is actually pretty weak, or starts out that way cause he never had a proper teacher (methinks the other help him later), which makes him a bit insecure and leads to him learning how to be resourceful in other ways cause he can't rely on it.

I really like the discs being something he didn't steal but earned. I think one of the reasons that they'll be so important to him now in the au is because he's a poor thief who's had to steal everything in life to survive, so to have something he wholly earned himself, along with the symbolism of them, is something that means a lot and he takes pride in it. Thanks for bringing that up cause it'll be very useful for his development.

You don't have to respond to this one, but @ your last tags on the found family trope post, I can't say I haven't been curious if anything like that was ever the case. You've been so careful in painting everyone's relationship to be on trust and healthy reliance on one another in times of need, and Techno + Dream definitely have something more intimate and close going on (which I deeply appreciate btw- I couldn't bear it if someone tried to stick itwall!Dream as a brother to Techno, or put him in alongside Wilbur as a son figure to Phil :shudders:), so I'm VERY curious how detailed those thoughts have gotten at any point in time /lh /but genuine

yes i can talk about this all day !! i think the dynamic that doomsday trio brings is fascinating, and i don't blame those who see it as a nuclear family dynamic because i think the comparison does work in some places, but it's more complicated than that. i touched on it (in vaguely poetic terms) in this post, but i can give more detail here.

c!philza is an old man and an experienced father, and his instinct as a guardian is strong. this is the closest we get to a nuclear family format in itwall; phil definitely calls on some of his skills as a father when he helps dream, but it's a bit more complex than that. phil recognizes that dream is an adult in human years and doesn't need to be babied (hell, he doesn't even baby Wilbur, his own son who's around the same age!). dream needs care, he needs a mentor, and he needs a better self-preservation instinct before he kills himself. i think their relationship is closer to ancient grecian mentorship than fatherhood/sonhood, the only difference is that the mentee is on death's door for a while and needs some extra attention. phil sees himself in dream, dream sees phil as someone he might like to be, and there's a level of mutual respect there.

i also think that techno and dream have a sense of brotherhood, but in the same way that two athletic teammates have a brotherhood. they have a long history of trust between them, with room for playfulness and teasing. there's a lack of touch aversion (which is HUGE for dream), and dream initiates more of their touches (as opposed to phil, where he tends to be more submissive) (i'm thinkin about ch 12 & ch 19).

and, of course, techno & phil have a complicated relationship of their own. i'm always annoyed by headcanons that techno is phil's son-- we see plenty of interactions where they mutually worry over each other and care for each other. the will is Not written like a boy talking to his father. these two are lifelong partners, and that letter is written to someone who techno knows will understand him and trusts to carry out the more sentimental, intangible tasks, like talking to niki and ranboo, with very little instruction.

highly oversimplified but this is the idea. Techno and dream have similar relationships with phil but it's not really sonhood. all built on trust. they've proven to each other that they will keep each other safe.

and honestly.. none of those relationships would have to exclude sex or intimacy. equals/partners can have sex. comrades can have sex. mentors/mentees can have sex (i think people feel weird about this one, but again: think Ancient Grecian). i have Quite A Few scenes in my head about how their sexual relationships might work (especially in the early days when dream isn't feeling good...). i guess in light of everyone being more open about shipping i would consider writing them, i'd just keep them here instead of ao3.

i think both phil and techno consider dream to be heartstoppingly lovely. i think dream would love to be loved. i think phil&techno and techno&dream may have had some encounters Before the start of itwall, so it would just be a matter of tying it all together.

you quietly groaned in pain as your boyfriend, bless his soul, yelled out on joy, proceeded by a loud laugh.

“WHAT THE FUCK, MAN?” Tom continued, laughing along with the sounds of his keyboard keys getting smashed by his quick fingers. you held your head in your hands, trying to ease the banging pain in you temples. after about 5 more minutes of loud shenanigans going on in his office, you resorted to going in there, hoping he would calm down when he saw you. you slowly made your way to his office, and when you opened the door, his demeanor became a gentle, kinder looking one.

“Oh look! it’s the love of my life!” he said in a calm manner. you had been in some videos and more streams, but you rarely came in unplanned.

“Hey, can i stay in here?” you asked, looking at his monitor, slightly surprised to see how tired and, well, bad you looked.

”if you’d like. i’m doing a mod stream.” he replied, smiling at you, a twinge of worry in his eyes.

you then saw the chat, and as you moved closer, you could see some of the comments.

“Going pretty good, better now, though.” Tommy flirted, smirking at the camera. “Obviously, i make everything better.” you teased, shrugging your shoulders as you sat down in a small stool designated for you. it was titled the “Y/N throne” (named by tubbo). You caught tom slightly glancing at you in a worried type of way as you answered some questions about how life was going. you shrugged it off, supposing it was something on your face, or maybe the dark circles that had gathered underneath your eyes.

Finally, you had finished introducing yourself, you sat back and watched your boyfriend joke around with his fans with the mods, which had made every tame animal hostile, and every hostile animal tame.

“AAAAGH!” Tommy yelled, as a chicken began to attack him. it was funny, but the sudden yell made you flinch in pain, your head in agony. you shut your eyes and tried to distract yourself, but the pain in your forehead was too prominent to be dismissed. your boyfriend looked back at you, as he clearly noticed your sudden change in additude.

“you okay?” he quietly spoke, trying to not draw attention to you, but no matter what, obviously his fans were going to take note of what happened.

you quickly nodded, smiling for effect, but you knew tom didn’t buy a second of it. but he simply nodded in return and turned back to his monitor, attempting to react to some comments taht chat was making, most of which about you, worried about your well-being.

“Yeah, i’m SO excited to meet up with them.” tom rambled, referring to his plans to meet up with Bill, Aimsey, and Ranboo. “I think y/ns going aswell, aren’t you?” he asked, turning to you.

“yeah, if you’ll let me.” you joked. “i’ll go as long as you let me out of the basement.”

“wHAT?” he reacted, the small yell going straight to your migraine, but you continued in your smirk, not wanting to ruin the stream with your headache.

the rest of the stream was spent with you laughing slightly at tom, who kept making flirtatious remarks towards you, making you blush a deep red and all the fans go crazy. after what seemed like forever, he finally signed off, saying goodbye to his fans and ending the stream.

“What’s the matter?” he said, almost immediately after ending the live. you studied him, looking at his eyes that were drowned in worry for you. his eyebrows that were furrowed together in stress. and his mouth that had hints of a smile at the ends of his mouths.

“Y/N.”

“huh?”

“what’s the matter? you’ve been staring at me for like, 30 seconds straight.” he said.

“oh. sorry.” you said, standing up from your “throne”. “i’m gonna go to bed.” you said, walking to the door until you felt a strong grip on your arm, holding you from advancing any further.

“Y/N. What is the matter?” he asked, the third time now. “Are you well?”

“i’m okay.” you said, playing a small smile.

Tom didn’t but it for a second.

“No your not.” he said, standing up, his frame towering above you. loosened his grip on your arm and wrapped his arms around your waist.

“i just have a headache, Tommy. That’s it, i promise.”

“how bad is it?”

you looked down, trying not to let him see your eyes. “Umm..”

“is it one of you worse ones?” tom asked, with nothing but concern in his eyes.

“yeah. a really bad one. the worst one yet.”you said, in one big string of words.

Tom held you close, giving you a gentle hug. “I suppose my screaming didn’t help much.” he guessed, looking guilty.

you hugged him tighter, sighing. “No, it really didn’t. but it’s part of your job.” you defended him, holding his face in your hands.

“I need to think about you more. i only think about my fans during streams. i never think about you. i’m sorry, love.” Tommy says, guilt covering all of his emotions.

“It’s okay.” you say, smiling.

“Do you wanna go cuddle in bed?” he asks, almost innocently.

“i would love to.” you say. “just let me get my headache medicine.”

“no, let me do it.” he says, jumping infront of you, walking to the closet.

for the rest of the night, he wouldn’t let you do anything, insisting that ‘you need to rest!’ before doing it for you.

when you finally fell asleep, he kissed your head.

“sleep well, love.
