I really don't know what to do with the fact that my teeth have been toothpaste flavored for over 24 hours despite much eating and no additional toothpaste. Like what's even happening there. Perplexing.

oh man and to think this all started because I was in desperate need for answer for what happened to Siffrin homeland that the game lacked, and I saw them and thought "ahah he has white hair and a cape and a culture based on stars just like- OH MY GOD-" and the rest is history. I also can't believe I was able to finish the story with COLORS as well!

and now we will see how The Two Embers will completely destroy (or confirm!) some of my headcanons regarding what actually happened before Eden.

This story ending was supposed to be a little longer than this, there were some elements that could have hinted to a more open ending and some extra scenes with the fam, but I wanted to finish this a little sooner, since all of that was just extra. The main story that I wanted to tell was told, so I'm satisfied with this. If you have extra questions about the future of the story I'll gladly answer them, but I probably wont draw anything about this anymore. I did my 800+ panels of my fix-it fanfic and that's my canon for me.

Thank you to all those who read this story since the beginning in May 2024, and sticked with me even after my 6 month hiatus. If you will still follow me after this I will gladly appreciate your company alongside my next stories and projects.

I know I say that I'm kinda nuts for doing the amount of visual research I do, but at the same time: Specificity is SO much more compelling and real feeling, and imo not getting references often makes things look more amateur.

Eg. drawing a sofa- my mental image of a sofa is something like this:

Like. Its a sofa. It works. But it's not very convincing, the pillows are kinda wrong at the back, and it's not really giving any information about the owner. Even if you want a basic sofa... What kind of basic.

"One of the least respected but most important ecosystems on Earth are seagrass meadows, and a pioneering robotic solution is helping marine scientists restore these underwater gardens.

The ReefGen Grasshopper can plant dozens of seagrass seeds per minute. Not only is this faster than a human diver, but much safer as well.

It works by injecting a tiny slurry of sediment wrapped around the seagrass seed into the seafloor. After covering a growing plot of four seeds, the robot ‘hops’ about 30 centimeters away and starts again.

Despite covering a minuscule portion of the seafloor, seagrass meadows are estimated to hold 35-times more carbon than terrestrial forests—amounting to around 18% of the total carbon stock of the world’s oceans.

ReefGen’s founder Tom Chi dreamed up the idea after watching the degradation of coral reefs on his home island in Hawaii. The first iteration of the robot set coral ‘plugs’ onto existing reefs to help regrow them, but the technology was prohibitively expensive for wide-scale use.

Now however, broader selections of off-the-shelf parts have driven down the costs of manufacturing and maintaining underwater robots, according to Chris Oakes, CEO of ReefGen.

“Manual planting works, but robots are really good when things are dull, dirty, dangerous, or distant—the four Ds,” Oakes told CNN, adding that at the moment, Grasshopper is piloted with a controller by a human on the surface.

“Right now, we’re focused on the planting, the biology, and the mechanical aspects, once we’re confident that that’s all designed the right way, we will overlay more semi-autonomous features like navigation, so you don’t actually have to pilot it,” he said.

ReefGen has been able to not only expand into restoration of seagrass meadows, but also see its robots used in oceans around the world. This July, Grasshopper planted 25,000 seeds in Wales. In October, ReefGen teamed up with the University of North Carolina (UNC) Institute of Marine Sciences to test various seed replanting methods out on the state’s declining seagrass meadows.

Oakes says that as cool and “flashy” as a robotic solution might seem, the most important factor in its success will be the long-term monitoring of the fields it’s replanting. Are they growing to maturity, are the seedlings dying off before then, will they live long enough to seed and germinate fields of their own, how do fields it plants compare to fields planted by hand??"

we've got a weird filing system (ha) for our memory going on, where everything that happens while fronting is stored in the front memory pool, but then everyone also has their own individual memory pools.

When you're fronting it's much easier to access the front memory than your individual, and vis-versa. This makes it so it's easier to mask/easier to recall stuff that happened while you weren't fronting.

It also makes it really weird if you took the front while in a weird spot in the innerworld, bc you'll tune into where you are in the innerworld, expecting your living room or something, and instead it's a random forest, lol.

Every time one of us convinces themselves that we made up the individual memory pool thing, another 12+ year old alter crawls out of the woodwork with personal memories of interacting with Moon or Sun or someone else while they weren't fronting.

What’s something that’s unique / special to your system that you’d like to share?

I’ll go first - new guys in our system are frontstuck for about 2 weeks as they form their identity, and usually if they’re introjects we tend to consume a lot of styalized media regarding them to help it happen!

Currently in that process with Medic and Pyro lol
