i want to tell conflict-avoidant young people who struggle with IRL communication or self-perception that it's okay to have an awkward conversation. its ok to say something stupid sometimes. its okay to talk things out and have arguments or accidentally "trauma dump" and find common interests or even opposing ideas (within reason) and the key to all of this is CONVERSATION
im genuinely afraid about the deterioration of the in-person conversation. i know people wax poetic about small talk on here all the time but i mean any conversations. i think we need to be telling young people that as you get older, you realize life IS conversations, and if you're too nervous to engage in those, you're missing out on what can be a deeply fulfilling part of life
converse with people to the best of your ability!! use communication aids like AAC if you need! even if just a little to get out of your comfort zone even if its only about your special interest even if they go "oh. okay" because maybe the next person you talk to ALSO loves salamanders and badminton you just! never! know!
#thots et al#currently posting from my desktop PC which i never do#im feeling so 2014 right now#.....i literally am still using the same monitor

My Wangan Maxi Tune Career Returns 2024 Edition [Timezone Arcade Araneta City Gateway Mall II & Gateway Cinema] - Part 7 [First Half] (Recorded: Jun 19th, 2024)
Hey, hey! It’s me! 😁 And welcome back for another installment of "My Wangan Maxi Tune Career"! I returned in 2022, and now I'm continue it, this 2024. Yes, it's been a while. I haven't shared my WMMT's play progress in this current year, with the last record I posted was on May 31st, 2023 (Pls, go check it out in the "previous" section) before it went into troubles. And by that, I'm talking about my PC desktop problem. *sigh* 😫😔 Nevertheless, I have now SO MANY photos and screenshots that need to be uploaded on my current social media sites right away before I move on to my current update.
Once again, If you haven't seen my "first & second half" of "Part 6", then please check out my "previous" down below (w/ highlight).
IMPORTANT NOTE(S):
#1: Once again, no #OnThisDay throwback post for this date.
(And) #2: Whoever say's "FFA" was making me unhappy... 😥 Because I can't find the acronym on the Google search... This is why, this game is not ready to meet. Even though, they've already launched the old vanilla installment.*sigh* 😔
So, without further ado, let's get started:
1st to 6th Image(s) 📷📲: ↑
• [1st to 3rd Images] June 19th, 2024, I'm here at the specific TZ Arcade branch in Araneta City Gateway Mall II, with my two beloved paper dolls (🐻👨🍳 Chowder & Panini 🐰👩🍳). Upon entering the said mall and TZ branch, the atmosphere was pretty nice and clean, much like I visited every TZ branch. Anyway, I've redeemed the ₱200 free Power Load coupon through my gold membership TZ Power Card 💳🕹️😁, with an additional ₱150 load for a good measure 💵. However, there's one problem though... There's no Wangan Maxi Tune cabinet at this particular TZ branch. 😥 Damn, it'll be better if I play it inside this awesome atmosphere, alas it ain't happened. 😓 So, should go back to Trinoma where I previously played? 🤔 Nah, because as far as I know, there's another TZ branch located somewhere at the huge "Araneta City" mall. So, I venture myself to search for another TZ branch with my trusty Google Maps app 🗺️📲, in about a 1 hour ⌚.
• [4th to 6th Images] And said an hour later, I finally found another TZ branch located at the OG Gateway Cinema. 🎞️🕹️😃 Huh, you know what, the layer reminds me of going to the Ayala Glorietta mall in Makati City, where there's a TZ branch beside the Cinema. And that was my "Real Life Story". 😁📖 I was in my High School days 🧑🎓🏫 (3rd year High School to be specific; 2010 to 2011) when my former BF ("Best Friend") 👤 invited me to a meet-up for playing a music rhythm arcade game (named "DJ MAX Technika" 👇🎶🎧) at the aforementioned Glorietta TZ branch, which I suck at it. But, I was also playing my debuted "Wangan Maxi Tune 3DX Plus" 🚘🌃🛣️ arcade, which is my preferred over that music rhythm. 😊 Yeah, who doesn't love playing arcades after watching an awesome movie (say the new upcoming Disney movies, etc..). I've been there, but I never actually attempted that in my life. 😥 As for the actual arcade branch, it matches my memories back in 2012 😊, and no doubt this is one of the most unique branches unlike the Glorietta branch because besides the TZ branch was this Taco Bell / Pizza Hut stand, which is an awesome nice touch if I want it to grab something delicious Taco/Pizza from the "Yum" brands! My paper dolls loves eating Taco/Pizza! Yum! 🌮🍕😋 Sadly, I don't have funds for ordering food. Bummer... 😥😓
7th & 8th Image(s) 📷📲: ↑
• Okay, let's move on to the Maxi Tune experience, with "The Speedster Twins" w/ their Impreza cars! 🐶🇯🇵🚘🟥🔵🌸🐰🇯🇵🚘 So, without further ado, let's bring out the twins! Take it away! 😊
Spot 🐶🏎️ & Riya 🐰🏎️ [wearing Teenage Dogday's attire w/ Teenage Dogpressed's jacket & Teenage Hoppy and Teenage Catnap's clothes combined respectively]: Thank you, creator! 😄
Riya 🐰🏎️[wearing Teenage Hoppy and Teenage Catnap's clothes combined]: Actually, you go first Spot because you've received something cool! 😃
Spot 🐶🏎️ [wearing Teenage Dogday's attire w/ Teenage Dogpressed's jacket]: Why thank you, Ri! 😃 Yeah, I've got my first-ever marker in my Maxi Tune experience! I'm sure it's nothing knew, but here it is! That so-called "New Driver" 🔰 always embraces me throughout my childhood, including you Ri!
Riya 🐰🏎️[wearing Teenage Hoppy and Teenage Catnap's clothes combined]: Yes, sir! I think it looks good on you, you know! A Japanese symbol for any kind of beginners! Whether you're a beginner in trading card games, a skillful chef, or whatever you desire! 🔰😀
Spot 🐶🏎️ [wearing Teenage Dogday's attire w/ Teenage Dogpressed's jacket]: You bet! For us, it is a symbol of our beginners as a Maxi Tune player! Even though I've been there since 2011 and then you followed in 2013. 😊
Riya 🐰🏎️[wearing Teenage Hoppy and Teenage Catnap's clothes combined]: You're correct, twin bro! 😊 Hey, let's move on to our "Story Mode" journey, shall we? 📖🚘🙂
Spot 🐶🏎️ [wearing Teenage Dogday's attire w/ Teenage Dogpressed's jacket]: Yeah, sure! 🙂
9th to 22nd Image(s) 📷📲: ↑
• Spot & Riya's Maxi Tune "Story Mode" Journey 📖🚘:
Spot 🐶🏎️ [wearing Teenage Dogday's attire w/ Teenage Dogpressed's jacket]: Let's proceed to our Maxi Tune "Story Mode" journey, with the continuation of "Garage ACE" second half. 📖🚘
Riya 🐰🏎️[wearing Teenage Hoppy and Teenage Catnap's clothes combined]: Yes, sir! However, we have a problem with the steering wheel. 🙁The maneuver is completely jaggy over solid & sturdy wheel. 👎
Spot 🐶🏎️ [wearing Teenage Dogday's attire w/ Teenage Dogpressed's jacket]: Yeah! These previous aggressive jerks doesn't know how to respect the machine , or fixing it from the mechanic employee! 😑
Riya 🐰🏎️[wearing Teenage Hoppy and Teenage Catnap's clothes combined]: Yeah, does this came from the "PVP" matches? 🤨
Spot 🐶🏎️ [wearing Teenage Dogday's attire w/ Teenage Dogpressed's jacket]: *Sigh* What do you think, Ri? 🤨 But, all that aside, we've continue it anyway, and I've lost my ("5") winning streak because of the aforementioned jaggy steering wheel! 😫 I'm so frustrated! 😠 Ri? What about you!?
Riya 🐰🏎️[wearing Teenage Hoppy and Teenage Catnap's clothes combined]: Well, I carried on and I continued my winning streak! 🤷♀️
Spot 🐶🏎️ [wearing Teenage Dogday's attire w/ Teenage Dogpressed's jacket]: YOU WHAT!? 😳 HOW THE HECK DID YOU DO THAT?! 😲
Riya 🐰🏎️[wearing Teenage Hoppy and Teenage Catnap's clothes combined]: *Sigh* I was so lucky, that I haven't got the same fate as yours. And while it was challenging with the jaggy wheel, I put in on my best and I've got 45 wins (now 46) on my winning streak. 😮💨 *Phew* What a sign of relief for me, Spot... 😩
Spot 🐶🏎️ [wearing Teenage Dogday's attire w/ Teenage Dogpressed's jacket]: Lucky you, Riya. Looks like, I'm about to re-climb my winning mountain once again. *Sigh* 😩
Riya 🐰🏎️[wearing Teenage Hoppy and Teenage Catnap's clothes combined]: But hey, on the bright side, our Impreza cars are now at "Level 9, Step 33"! 🔧⚙️🚘 With the last stop to "Fully Tuned" 🔥🚘 is completing "The Legendary F1 Turbine" stories! Eh, Spot? Do you think, you can handled "10 wins" on your winning streak? 😁😉
Spot 🐶🏎️ [wearing Teenage Dogday's attire w/ Teenage Dogpressed's jacket]: Heck, yeah! You're right, Ri! I can handle it! 💪😁 One last level and our cars were "Fully Tuned"! LET'S GO! 😃
Riya 🐰🏎️[wearing Teenage Hoppy and Teenage Catnap's clothes combined]: *pat on his back* Awesome, there ya go! Uh yeah, should you changed your title, with this awesome "Tune Maximism"!? 🙂 I've already update my title, though! 😁
Spot 🐶🏎️ [wearing Teenage Dogday's attire w/ Teenage Dogpressed's jacket]: Sounds cool, but I'm gonna save that title via Wangan Navi App. 🚘📲😊
Riya 🐰🏎️[wearing Teenage Hoppy and Teenage Catnap's clothes combined]: Sounds fair, and that includes our Maxi Tune "Story Mode" journey, with us! 📖🚘😊

"Finished" PC Build
Backstory: Starting 2023 I was still running a cobbled together mess of a PC, the heart of which was a Dell Studio XPS desktop from 2010. Yes, THIRTEEN YEARS old. I got 2 of them from a gaming company in 2012 for the price of a tank of gas, thanks to knowing someone working there that had been tasked with E-wasting all the Windows PCs. Company was switching to iOS dev.
Anyway, at its heart was the Dell Mobo, which featured a 1st Gen i5-920. By this point, the OG GPU was long gone and I had "upgraded" with a 1050TI. 16gigs of DDR3 RAM. This basic as hell setup had served me admirably for a decade, for a couple reasons.
I run Linux.
I have never been a HEAVY PC GAMER. Sure, I have gamed on PC since I first got one in 2005 (yeah, kinda late to the game, considering I was almost 30, lol), but I mostly used my PC for World of Warcraft, other similar MMOs, and what are now called Indie games on Steam. I've had consoles from like 6yrs old, and I tend to prefer them as they are the cheap option for gaming. I appreciate what a modern PC can do (esp lately with RT etc) but like, more often than not PC gaming can be as much of a chore as it can be fun.
Now, starting around March 2023, that old PC began having strange errors with the RAM, which would cause Firefox to crash tabs/completely, among other things. Eventually it broke my Linux Mint OS badly enough it just stopped allowing me to login. Finally figured out the HDD I had was failing and got an SSD. Installed Garuda on it and pretty quickly realized I had Mobo issues as the RAM was still reporting less DIMMs than it had, half the time.
At this point, a friend that was aware of the issues offered to mail me an i5-6400, to build a "new" system around. Naturally I accepted and bought a Fractal Meshify 2, some new DDR4 RAM, DeepCool Gammax, and a used MSI Krait Gaming Mobo. Stuck the new parts in the new case, and moved over storage/GPU from old PC. Booted and updated the OS, then launched WoW. Still getting 10fps in Valdrakken. Shit. Guess I need to upgrade this GPU.
So I bought an RX 6800. Stuck it in the case and booted. Updated the OS, which brought the Mesa drivers on board. Launched WoW again. 10fps again. What the fuck. Thought maybe swapping from Nvidia to AMD might have left over some driver mess, so I fresh installed Garuda and got all set up. Logged WoW Main again. STILL 10fps. WTF. Took my Main to SW, stood in front of the bank, then logged an alt with NO UI. Holy shit, there's a 35fps difference between them. My UI was broken, lol. Spent a day fixing that. Now I get 20fps in Valdrakken, but 55ish everywhere else. This is good.. but... What if I upgraded the core to something current gen, say AM5?
Finally we arrive at the part the title of this post suggested, building the "new" PC. I went to Newegg and picked out a Ryzen 5 7600X, MSI Mag B650 Tomahawk WIFI Mobo, G.SKILL FlareX5 32g RAM kit, and a TFORCE 2TB M.2 SSD. I also got a "free" 1TB Sata SSD with the CPU, it was also a TFORCE. The following are the pics of the "build" process. There will also be an aside for a complication. ProTip: be real fucking sure everything you want to put into a PC is absolutely compatible. Some things say they are when they aren't. You'll see what I mean.
Here's the parts laid out and ready to be installed.
This Mobo has a ton of IO.
The iFixit "Pro Tech" toolkit. I got it on sale for I wanna say 80 bucks a few months ago, as of today it's listed for $75, and I think it's definitely worth the money.
Here we see the 3 M.2 slots. 2 of them have included heat sinks. Nice.
ProTip: Remember to peel the fucking plastic off these thermal pads, cause they don't really work with it on there.
Like a glove.
ProTip: it's real damn important to make sure you put the RAM in the proper dual channel config on an AMD system. On this motherboard there is a little diagram pointing out that the slots the sticks are in clearly say "first" on them, which is a nice touch. If you look closely, you can barely make out the very fuzzy diagram printed just above the heat sink bracket on the right hand side of the CPU.
Storage in place with the little "carder heat sink" strip in place. This SSD came with its own heat sink but I'm going to use the one that came with the board.
Like so.
And here's the board, ready to go into the case for further assembly.. however, it was at this point that i realized that the EVGA 650w PSU I had didn't have two 8pin(4x4) CPU cables. I got it open box, no manuals etc, and could have sworn it had 2 cables but I was wrong. Makes sense, really, 650 watts would be cutting it too close with this build. Bummer.
Ok, well I can at least move over my DeepCool Gammax heat sink. I looked at the listing from when I bought it and it says "AM5 compatible". I watched a vid that said "hey as long as your cooler doesn't use a back plate, it should work with AM5"
LIES, BOTH OF THEM. I tried to get the DeepCool on there but the brackets didn't quite line up, and then even if I could kinda fudge it a little to make that work, the screws were threaded differently. Fuck. So at this point, in the middle of a somewhat heavy storm, I had to make a run to Best Buy and hope the store really did have the things the website said it did. Thankfully, it did (and I guess yay for living in a decent area or something? cause I've heard stories about BBs having like 3 PSUs from one brand, so "my" store having 19 from 6 brands is luxury, it seems. I miss Fry's). Picked up an EVGA GT 850w 80+ Gold with auto Eco Mode and a Cooler Master Hyper 212 Halo, which was extremely lucky as it was the only one in the store.
That out of the way, the build can continue.
Coming along nicely. Sorry about the quality of some of these pics btw, I'm getting old so the eyes ain't what they were plus I had been dealing with this for several hours by now so I was also cranky and kinda rushing through the pics part. They looked good on the phone, less so once I moved them to the PC, heh.
Oh thank fuck, it posts. Ignore the slightly dirty desk, I been busy damn it.
That's looking clean as fuck. Yeah that old USB IO thing is old and kinda looks stupid but like, never can have enough ports, right?
I really do like this Fractal Meshify 2 case. It's laid out super well and is a breeze to build in. I mean just look at that cable routing, yo. And I was kinda rushing and not really being that finicky about it lol.
And it's home. Yeah, yeah, I know I need to clean up the cable situation on the left, there. I'll get to it. Also yes, there's some rust on that standing desk pole. I got it for free and it had been sitting outside. I've meant to clean that up but just haven't gotten to it, heh. Living in an RV as a not small dude (6ft1 240lbs or so) makes doing things like this just kinda suck, honestly. Add another person to the mix and yeah things can get tight. A 28ftx8ft box to live in just ain't the best time in the world, lol. We make do, though.
Finally, I figure I can give one nod to the RGB fans, so here you go. The Halo's fan in all its glory. I have since installed OpenRGB and managed, even on Linux, to gain access to the RGB controller and set the brightness to minimum.
I have run some benchmarks with Phoronix. I guess at least one person who might read this may be interested, especially Linux fans? So here's links to those:
GLmark2
Unigine Valley
Blender - this is an all tests, best of 3 run. Took a couple hours, which meant it was a great stress test for the CPU. I had no problems, which is impressive as the CPU sat at what I understand to be the throttle point temp of 95C. Yeah. I'm going to be looking into a better cooling solution or at least add another fan to the heat sink and see if that helps.
There's also 3 tests from when I was running the i5-6400 with the RX 6800.... if you wanna see what happens to a GPU when you severely bottleneck it, lol. If anyone actually reading this is interested you can just click "System Logs" on any of the links above, then "Show System Information" which will take you to a list of all benchmarks I've done so far.
Well, I guess that's it. Hope this was interesting and/or amusing to whoever reads this. Thanks for taking the time.
Edit*******
Oh and by the way, I launched WoW again after I finished, despite it being late and I was sore and tired. But I just had to see. I am now unable to get less than 35-40fps in Valdrakken, and I'm averaging nearly 100 anywhere else. I actually saw 130fps a few times. I'm not sure I've ever seen that high a number even when I flew as high as is allowed and looked straight up, lol.
In other words: yes, it was worth it. Especially if I can manage to baby this thing well enough it lasts me at least a few years before I "have" to think about upgrading it. Again.

hi friends 💖
just checking in! i know i've been a little inactive lately, besides my queue and me occasionally reblogging old sets that have hit milestones, i haven't really been here. don't worry, i'm not leaving or taking a hiatus... there will be a TL;DR at the end bc i know not everyone cares about these posts, which is totally okay!
there is a reason for my inactiveness, i've been a little distracted lately but mostly distracted this week. i had planned to make more gifsets, but my laptop keeps disconnecting from the internet randomly (a fairly new issue) and the internal fan keeps turning on (an ongoing issue); it's on rn and the only thing i have open is chrome to make this post, which is making my laptop overheat; making it run a lot slower.
since this has been happening, i asked my parents if i could possibly replace my laptop with a desktop computer. i am an apple kid (there is no right between macs or pcs; it's all personal opinion!), so i do want to get an imac. i've actually wanted an imac for a while now, but i didn't get one when my parents offered to buy me my laptop back in 2016, when i was let go from my previous job, that treated me terribly. the stipulation for my parents actually buying my laptop was it HAD to be a laptop. their thinking was that i would need a laptop if i got another graphic design job... which i never did. if i had gotten a desktop back then, i would've had to pay for it, which i didn't have the money for. so i took the generosity of my parents and i got my current laptop, which i do love and will forever be grateful for. but my laptop is approaching 8 years old, which is pretty old for a macbook pro. it is still up to date with the latest software, but it just runs so slow due to age. another reason i want an imac, i can't keep sitting in my bed on a laptop, i need to sit at a desk. my chronic back pain has been getting worse and i know it's partly due to how i sit in my bed all the time on my laptop.
but a lot of things need to happen before i can even get the new computer, i need to get a new desk that will accommodate the new computer, i need a new chair; the one i currently have has zero back support which i need, and i really want a nice customized mechanical keyboard. so i've been busy this week looking at keyboards, desks, and computer chairs. my parents agreed to pay for half of the imac as a hanukkah gift! so i have time to get everything together. and of course not all of these are things that i need to have to get the new computer, but they are things i want.
i've wanted a nice mechanical keyboard for a while and i do love my current mechanical keyboard, RK84. i use it for work and everyone loves the RGB effects on it! but i want one that i have completely customized. the board, switches, and keycaps. ironically, the keyboard i've been looking at is the same keyboard that felix customized and showed off recently, the GMMK Pro, which for some reason is really hated OR really loved in the mechanical keyboard community... but i really just want the board part. i want a heavy metal keyboard, but i don't know what switches i want yet or what keycaps i want. it's funny though bc the current switches i'm used to are glorious switches, they're the purple kailh pros. i love them, but i don't know if they're what want i want for my at-home typing and gifmaking. i'm using them right now to type this post. they are really good for quick typing but still have a little bump to let you know that you've hit the key hard enough. so they're great for work where i type emails daily.
the keycaps i'm also interested in, akko black translucent w/ green print, may need to have a special switch so that the RGB on the keyboard shines through better. i brought my RK84 home to actually change the keycaps so i can test out the ASA profile of the keys for a while before i actually decide on the keycaps. but the only type available is linear switches, which in the past, were too sensitive for me. i would always knock into incorrect keys when typing and make a lot of mistakes. but i'm really used to typing on a mechanical keyboard now (so used to it that i hate flat mac keyboards now lol), so the linear switches may not be an issue now.
anyway, i know that was a lot and again, it's okay if you didn't read any of it and just scrolled down here to see the cliff notes version:
TL;DR: i know i've been a little inactive lately, but i've been distracted with trying to update my desk setup. and my laptop keeps disconnecting from the internet making it harder for me to actually upload gifsets. but i'm going to try to at least make gifs this weekend. i may or may not be able to actually have them drafted.
i hope you're all doing well. if no one's told you recently, i'm proud of you and you're doing great! 💖 please stay safe out there and stay hydrated my friends! 💖

(LAST UPDATED: 21/10/23)
So, this is an absolutely excellent and mostly correct post when it comes to buying systems from what are known as Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) or System Integrators (SIs). Some lesser known SIs that still do good work, though which will likely also be far more expensive, are Falcon Northwest and Puget Systems. For mini PCs (the kind that ms-demeanour up there mentioned mounting behind monitors), Minisforum has a broad and high quality portfolio, as do Beelink, ASRock, and Asus.
Some points I disagree with on this post: Ryzen 5 is perfectly fine for most people who aren't doing AI, ProViz, or CAD work (and if you don't know what those words mean then you probably don't need a Ryzen 7 or 9). As for generations, look for at least Ryzen 2000, ideally 3000 or above. For Intel generations, I would say to try to avoid anything older than 12th Gen, as that generation brought some absolutely massive performance and efficiency improvements, and was preceded by a good few dud gens. Also, 13th Gen and onwards i3s are shockingly powerful, and will do a good turn for a lot of use cases. FOR LAPTOPS ONLY 14th Gen releasing in December might potentially blow all the other advice here out of the water, so if you can afford to wait you probably should.
With all that said, what if none of the SIs have what you need? What if you wanna build your own system to save a buck? Here's some advice if you're in the "building my own PC for the first time" boat.
Part 1: What You Need
If you're building your own computer, it will have to be a desktop. Laptops are built to dance on a razor's edge of not fucking burning down sobbing (unless you're Apple in which case you slip on a banana peel, faceplant on the pavement, and then explode), and you cannot build your own from scratch for reasons which are beyond the scope of this post.
So, while building your own desktop, what exactly do you need?
Components:
Motherboard
Power Supply
CPU
RAM
Storage
Graphics Card
Case
Tools:
1x Phillips Head Screwdriver
A Dream
Part 2: What You Want
Before we start looking for parts, you need to first decide what exactly it is you'll be using the system for. If you're reading this post right now you're either one of my poor hapless mutuals that I just slammed this onto the dash of (I apologize but not sincerely), or you're not the most caught up to current Gen hardware. Assuming the latter case, I'm also going to assume you're not a homelabber or data scientist (but if you are and need help with speccing a workstation system reblog this and I will happily discuss those cases at length).
With that in mind, here's some advice for two fairly common use cases.
Use Case 1: New Reliable
So your parent/child/friend/elderly relative's old shitbox finally gave up the ghost, and now they need something to replace it. This advice is for systems that you want to build once, take apart never. You want this system to last with zero maintenance for the next five to ten years, at which point you will be upgrading it again anyway. This system is not going to be doing much gaming or heavy professional work, but as an Internet browsing machine with some occasional Minecraft and Fortnite this thing will be more than sufficient.
Motherboard: Get the cheapest one with okay reviews on PC Part Picker. ASRock is a safe bet, as is Asus and potentially MSI. Biostar tends to cheap out on quality, but the retail price generally reflects that, similar for Maxsun. Do not spend more than 100 dollars on the motherboard. You do not need anything more advanced than the bare minimum. For Intel systems, look for something with H610 or H610M in the name. For AMD Ryzen systems, look for something with A320 in the name.
Power Supply: NEVER EVER EVER CHEAP OUT ON THE FUCKING POWER SUPPLY, EVER. A bad power supply can kill the rest of your system when it goes. That said, there are still lots of options that are trash, while not being hazardous. Among these the champ is, of course, the Thermaltake Smart lineup of power supplies. They suck poopy ass, but they aren't going to burn your fucking house down or anything. If you've got the budget though, spring for something from EVGA, Silverstone, or Seasonic. For wattages, something 500-650W should be fine for a system like this, and still leaves room for a minor GPU installation down the line should one be desired (though nothing with a high power draw). The extra headroom also helps manage transient spikes in power draw, which are fairly commonplace on modern processors.
CPU: Get a Core i3-13100 or a Ryzen 3 3200G. I could give advice on how to shop for CPUs for a system like this, but I feel it's more helpful to just tell you the specific thing you're gonna want for this usecase, since this part of the product stack is generally pretty barren from both manufacturers.
RAM: Get a 2x8 gigabyte kit. Do not get two separate 8 gig sticks or one 16 gig one. Make sure you are getting the right *type* of memory (for the motherboards and CPUs described here, that is DDR4). Get the cheapest kit you can find. Casual Internet browsing is not going to be feeling bone hurt from shitty slow RAM.
Graphics Card: Don't bother. For a system like this, a graphics card is just one more thing that can break down and fail (since fans gradually wear out over time and eventually need to be replaced). The integrated graphics on the above CPUs will be more than sufficient for day to day use. However, if you do need or want a graphics card, do *not* get anything from Nvidia in the 30 tier (i.e GT 730, GT 1030, or GTX 1630), or anything from AMD below the "600" tier (RX 550, RX 5500, RX 6400, et cetera). From Intel, anything above an A380 is more than sufficient. The A580 is an especially tempting value proposition if you're buying new, but if you're okay with used and refurbished cards you can get an RX 580 for less than 100 USD, and it is still very much a card worth your consideration.
Case: Get something cheap, but not too cheap. Anything from Cooler Master's MasterBox lineup should be perfectly sufficient. Built-in case fans suck poopy ass. Replace them. More on cooling in a sidebar later in the post.
With a system built on the above specs, internet browsing, Zoom calls, sending emails, typing up Word documents, and spreadsheets that deal with anything less than the net accounts of a multimillion dollar corporation should be handled without breaking a sweat, as well as some light gaming like Minecraft or Fortnite, though don't expect it to be smoking Starfield at max settings. Then again, nothing can really run Starfield at max settings because it's such an unoptimized piece of shit, but I digress.
Use Case 2: Budget Bruiser
A whole lot of power in a very cramped budget. The real "most gamers still play at 1080p" build, this is going to be comfortable for a lot of people building their own because they can't afford the assembly surcharges of SI systems
Motherboard: Similar advice as New Reliable on this one. ASRock is good, don't spend more than 100 USD on this unless you absolutely cannot get the features you need otherwise. However, when you're not just looking for the bare minimum that works, there are some other things to keep an eye out for. For starters, rear I/O.
This is what a fairly "standard" rear I/O arrangement looks like. Bunch of USB-A Ports, one or two USB-C ports, audio, Ethernet, and some video outputs like HDMI and DVI. Combined with the USB ports on your case, these will be more than enough for pretty much everyone. Seriously, even with a mouse, keyboard, USB mic, flash drive, DAC, and pen tablet all plugged in simultaneously, I still don't run out of USB-A connectors, just on the motherboard, before accounting for the ones on my case or those added by a USB hub. Unless you need SPDIF or cleaner power delivery out of your USB ports for sensitive audio equipment or something else that just isn't available in the sub-100 dollar price segment, 80-90 dollar motherboards like the one pictured above (the ASRock B450M Pro4 R2.0, currently available for 78 dollars on Amazon) are the way to go.
Another crucial consideration when it comes to motherboards is the chipset. The sweetspot on price-to-performance is generally found in the B-series chipsets from both vendors (B450/B550/B650 from AMD, B460/B550/B660 from Intel). They provide more than the bare minimum of features, but unlike their X (for AMD) or Z (for Intel) series sisters, they won't bankrupt you. Finally, expansion:
The slots outlined in red are RAM slots. You will generally get at least two of these in any desktop motherboard, though you're going to want to get four for the extra capacity potential it affords you at a lower price compared to going for extremely high densities.
The other three slots are Peripheral Component Interconnect Express or PCIe slots. You will want at least one of the big ones, preferably more, and ideally one of the small ones. However, if you look closely and compare the slots highlighted in green and yellow, you will notice that the green one has "pins" all along the top of its length, while the yellow one only has a handful. You want a big slot with pins all the way down, as having fewer electrical connections means a slower slot that will reduce performance significantly.
Power Supply: ONCE AGAIN I CANNOT STATE ENOUGH THE IMPORTANCE OF NOT CHEAPING OUT ON YOUR PSU. For finding high quality PSUs that are efficient, quiet, and possess all the protections you need to make sure a power surge doesn't fry your system, Cybenetics' database of power supplies is an absolutely amazing resource. As for wattage, it depends on your CPU and graphics card, but generally something in the 850W-1000W range is probably safe so as to leave ample headroom for upgrading down the line.
CPU: Choosing a CPU and graphics card pairing is one of the most difficult and infuriating parts of any build. However, some general advice to make the process less painful is as follows: Firstly, aim for components within the same place in the product stack. A Core i9 with an RTX 3060 is going to result in the i9 spending most of its time twiddling its thumbs waiting for the 3060 to play catch-up. Given that we're aiming to not break the bank here, I'd recommend aiming in the Ryzen 5/Core i5 category, and getting something recent and modern. Good picks for this are the Ryzen 5 3600X, the Ryzen 5 5600, Ryzen 7 5700X (if you're lucky you can snag them shockingly cheap on sales), and Ryzen 5 7600 from the AMD side of the aisle. Intel's Core i5-12600KF spent a solid year as the uncontested price-to-performance dominator, and its newer siblings, the 13600KF and 14600KF, have both carried on that legacy admirably. Aiming for the 7 tier, the Ryzen 7 7700(X) is largely the same as its little sister, the 7600, and can be mostly safely ignored. The Core i7-14700K brings a noticeable amount of performance over the 13700K, but depending on pricing in your region the single-digit uplift might not be worth the extra cost.
RAM: Regarding capacity, 16 gigs is a good amount that'll handle most tasks without difficulty. When using DDR4 RAM, get two 8 gig sticks rather than 1 16 gig one to take advantage of dual channels. When using DDR5, one stick is fine, though it may be more expensive due to higher density. YMMV, choose according to your own circumstances. When it comes to speed, 3200 MT/s (NOT MHz, that is a LIE, and it makes me ANNOYED) is pretty much always a safe bet on DDR4. On DDR5, 6000 is the max that AMD can safely handle. Anything over that is playing with fire. Intel can in many cases handle 7200 without breaking a sweat.
Storage: 1 TB SSDs are extremely cheap now, you can get high speed NVMe ones for around 50 bucks. Do so. I would recommend something from Intel or Solidigm (same engineers, they just work for a different sticker now). If you want or need more storage, you can get dirt cheap SATA SSDs and HDDs, but they should generally not be used for storing games or other things that require high performance.
Graphics Card: And now, the part where I get egged off stage for being too right for people to handle. There are currently three major graphics card manufacturers, all of whom are worth consideration depending on your needs and your budget. Nvidia holds the performance crown, and never fails to remind us of this fact as it charges exorbitantly inflated prices for its products. Their current gen products are largely a waste of sand. However, their last generation, the RTX 30-series, is definitely worth considering, especially the RTX 3060 and 3060 Ti, if they can be found at a sub-300 dollar price point (though the Intel Arc A770 16GB does have them beat in many cases). AMD and Intel both bring compelling offerings to the table across the whole stack, with some highliths being the AMD Radeon RX 7600 and 7800 XT, and the Intel Arc A750 and A770 16GB.
Case: The case is going to be the part of your system you look at the most, so make it the one you like looking at the most. Fractal Design, Lian Li, and InWin all make excellent cases, as does Corsair. The Fractal Design North, Corsair 4000D Airflow, and Lian Li O11 Dynamic are all excellent cases, and if you can get me an In Win DUBILI I will eat you out.
Sidebar: Cooling
PC components give off heat, and that heat needs to be managed. This is a significant aspect of PC building, and I felt it deserved its own little heading rather than to just be lost in the sauce of the rest of the post. The main concerns with cooling are thermal transfer, airflow, and noise. Let's go through them one by one.
Thermal Transfer
This refers to taking heat from a heat-generating component, and moving it away from it. Graphics cards will already come with their own in-built cooling solution, and SSDs and stuff don't give off enough heat for it to be a serious concern for the most part. The main place where thermal transfer becomes a relevant concept is the CPU. We can move heat away from the CPU by using a CPU cooler. Many CPUs come with one in the box, but you can also buy a separate one. There are two main types of coolers, air, and liquid. Air coolers use large, dense aluminium finstacks which are exposed to a lot of moving air (discussed more in the section on airflow) to move heat away from the CPU and then away from the inside of the computer entirely assuming you can afford a decent thermal solution that has both intake and exhaust rather than just intake like I have at the moment please send help. Liquid coolers use thermally-conductive liquids like ethylene glycol, which come into indirect contact with the CPU through a copper coldplate before flowing up into a radiator, where dense aluminium finstacks get air blown through them to dissipate heat. Air coolers are generally cheaper and more reliable due to less moving parts (i.e none aside from the fans), but liquid coolers can oftentimes match them in price and performance while retaining similar sound profiles (more on that in a bit). However, neither type of cooler will perform to their fullest without the use of something known as a Thermal Interface Material, or TIM. The most common TIM is thermal paste, which is an electrically non-conductive gooey thing you put on your CPU before installing the cooler to fill the microscopic airgaps between the cooler's coldplate and the CPU, improving cooling performance significantly. However, thermal paste will dry out gradually, and lose performance. If you want something that won't need to be replaced every few years, try using something like Thermal Grizzly Kryosheet, which due to being a sheet of solid graphene rather than paste doesn't dry out ever.
Airflow
Airflow is the next major consideration for cooling. Congratulations, you got the heat away from the components! Now what. That hot air is now stagnating inside your case, driving up ambient temperature and making your components run far hotter than they should. To avoid such a fate, you need strong intake and exhaust airflow. For this purpose, we use fans mounted on and in the case, to move air from the outside, into the case, through the case, and then out of the case again. A lot of people on the Internet have very strong opinions about airflow, but honestly so long as your case isn't completely garbage, a few filtered (most cases nowadays come with magnetic dust filters) intakes and an exhaust should be more than sufficient to cool most modern components within acceptable margins.
Noise
Your components might run cool, but that's not of much use if the fans screech like banshees. The third and final consideration in your cooling solution is how loud and obnoxious it is going to be. The main culprit here is going to be fans, which, if impeded, will have to work doubletime to maintain temperatures, resulting in higher noise levels (though decent fans will manage this by making their sound profiles less SCREECHING BANSHEE and more of a hiss or a rumble, which isn't perceived as being as loud by human ears). However, the pumps in liquid coolers can also create an obnoxious whine if installed incorrectly, so make sure to look up the proper orientation for their installation to avoid such a fate, or to rectify it if it is already suffered.
I have no idea why I spent the past six or so hours writing this guide that no one is going to ever read but uh...I did! I might at some later point actually write up something on how to put a system together, but there's oodles of tutorials for that stuff on the Internet, so it's hardly needed.
So You Need To Buy A Computer But You Don't Know What Specs Are Good These Days
Hi.
This is literally my job.
Lots of people are buying computers for school right now or are replacing computers as their five-year-old college laptop craps out so here's the standard specs you should be looking for in a (windows) computer purchase in August 2023.
PROCESSOR
Intel i5 (no older than 10th Gen)
Ryzen 7
You can get away with a Ryzen 5 but an intel i3 should be an absolute last resort. You want at least an intel i5 or a Ryzen 7 processor. The current generation of intel processors is 13, but anything 10 or newer is perfectly fine. DO NOT get a higher performance line with an older generation; a 13th gen i5 is better than an 8th gen i7. (Unfortunately I don't know enough about ryzens to tell you which generation is the earliest you should get, but staying within 3 generations is a good rule of thumb)
RAM
8GB absolute minimum
If you don't have at least 8GB RAM on a modern computer it's going to be very, very slow. Ideally you want a computer with at least 16GB, and it's a good idea to get a computer that will let you add or swap RAM down the line (nearly all desktops will let you do this, for laptops you need to check the specs for Memory and see how many slots there are and how many slots are available; laptops with soldered RAM cannot have the memory upgraded - this is common in very slim laptops)
STORAGE
256GB SSD
Computers mostly come with SSDs these days; SSDs are faster than HDDs but typically have lower storage for the same price. That being said: SSDs are coming down in price and if you're installing your own drive you can easily upgrade the size for a low cost. Unfortunately that doesn't do anything for you for the initial purchase.
A lot of cheaper laptops will have a 128GB SSD and, because a lot of stuff is stored in the cloud these days, that can be functional. I still recommend getting a bit more storage than that because it's nice if you can store your music and documents and photos on your device instead of on the cloud. You want to be able to access your files even if you don't have internet access.
But don't get a computer with a big HDD instead of getting a computer with a small SSD. The difference in speed is noticeable.
SCREEN (laptop specific)
Personally I find that touchscreens have a negative impact on battery life and are easier to fuck up than standard screens. They are also harder to replace if they get broken. I do not recommend getting a touch screen unless you absolutely have to.
A lot of college students especially tend to look for the biggest laptop screen possible; don't do that. It's a pain in the ass to carry a 17" laptop around campus and with the way that everything is so thin these days it's easier to damage a 17" screen than a 14" screen.
On the other end of that: laptops with 13" screens tend to be very slim devices that are glued shut and impossible to work on or upgrade.
Your best bet (for both functionality and price) is either a 14" or a 15.6" screen. If you absolutely positively need to have a 10-key keyboard on your laptop, get the 15.6". If you need something portable more than you need 10-key, get a 14"
FORM FACTOR (desktop specific)
If you purchase an all-in-one desktop computer I will begin manifesting in your house physically. All-in-ones take away every advantage desktops have in terms of upgradeability and maintenance; they are expensive and difficult to repair and usually not worth the cost of disassembling to upgrade.
There are about four standard sizes of desktop PC: All-in-One (the size of a monitor with no other footprint), Tower (Big! probably at least two feet long in two directions), Small Form Factor Tower (Very moderate - about the size of a large shoebox), and Mini/Micro/Tiny (Small! about the size of a small hardcover book).
If you are concerned about space you are much better off getting a MicroPC and a bracket to put it on your monitor than you are getting an all-in-one. This will be about a million percent easier to work on than an all-in-one and this way if your monitor dies your computer is still functional.
Small form factor towers and towers are the easiest to work on and upgrade; if you need a burly graphics card you need to get a full size tower, but for everything else a small form factor tower will be fine. Most of our business sales are SFF towers and MicroPCs, the only time we get something larger is if we have to put a $700 graphics card in it. SFF towers will accept small graphics cards and can handle upgrades to the power supply; MicroPCs can only have the RAM and SSD upgraded and don't have room for any other components or their own internal power supply.
WARRANTY
Most desktops come with either a 1 or 3 year warranty; either of these is fine and if you want to upgrade a 1 year to a 3 year that is also fine. I've generally found that if something is going to do a warranty failure on desktop it's going to do it the first year, so you don't get a hell of a lot of added mileage out of an extended warranty but it doesn't hurt and sometimes pays off to do a 3-year.
Laptops are a different story. Laptops mostly come with a 1-year warranty and what I recommend everyone does for every laptop that will allow it is to upgrade that to the longest warranty you can get with added drop/damage protection. The most common question our customers have about laptops is if we can replace a screen and the answer is usually "yes, but it's going to be expensive." If you're purchasing a low-end laptop, the parts and labor for replacing a screen can easily cost more than half the price of a new laptop. HOWEVER, the way that most screens get broken is by getting dropped. So if you have a warranty with drop protection, you just send that sucker back to the factory and they fix it for you.
So, if it is at all possible, check if the manufacturer of a laptop you're looking at has a warranty option with drop protection. Then, within 30 days (though ideally on the first day you get it) of owning your laptop, go to the manufacturer site, register your serial number, and upgrade the warranty. If you can't afford a 3-year upgrade at once set a reminder for yourself to annually renew. But get that drop protection, especially if you are a college student or if you've got kids.
And never, ever put pens or pencils on your laptop keyboard. I've seen people ruin thousand dollar, brand-new laptops that they can't afford to fix because they closed the screen on a ten cent pencil. Keep liquids away from them too.
LIFESPAN
There's a reasonable chance that any computer you buy today will still be able to turn on and run a program or two in ten years. That does not mean that it is "functional."
At my office we estimate that the functional lifespan of desktops is 5-7 years and the functional lifespan of laptops is 3-5 years. Laptops get more wear and tear than desktops and desktops are easier to upgrade to keep them running. At 5 years for desktops and 3 years for laptops you should look at upgrading the RAM in the device and possibly consider replacing the SSD with a new (possibly larger) model, because SSDs and HDDs don't last forever.
COST
This means that you should think of your computers as an annual investment rather than as a one-time purchase. It is more worthwhile to pay $700 for a laptop that will work well for five years than it is to pay $300 for a laptop that will be outdated and slow in one year (which is what will happen if you get an 8th gen i3 with 8GB RAM). If you are going to get a $300 laptop try to get specs as close as possible to the minimums I've laid out here.
If you have to compromise on these specs, the one that is least fixable is the processor. If you get a laptop with an i3 processor you aren't going to be able to upgrade it even if you can add more RAM or a bigger SSD. If you have to get lower specs in order to afford the device put your money into the processor and make sure that the computer has available slots for upgrade and that neither the RAM nor the SSD is soldered to the motherboard. (one easy way to check this is to search "[computer model] RAM upgrade" on youtube and see if anyone has made a video showing what the inside of the laptop looks like and how much effort it takes to replace parts)
Computers are expensive right now. This is frustrating, because historically consumer computer prices have been on a downward trend but since 2020 that trend has been all over the place. Desktop computers are quite expensive at the moment (August 2023) and decent laptops are extremely variably priced.
If you are looking for a decent, upgradeable laptop that will last you a few years, here are a couple of options that you can purchase in August 2023 that have good prices for their specs:
14" Lenovo - $670 - 11th-gen i5, 16GB RAM, and 512GB SSD
15.6" HP - $540 - 11th-gen i5, 16GB RAM, and 256GB SSD
14" Dell - $710 - 12th-gen i5, 16GB RAM, and 256GB SSD
If you are looking for a decent, affordable desktop that will last you a few years, here are a couple of options that you can purchase in August 2023 that have good prices for their specs:
SFF HP - $620 - 10th-gen i5, 16GB RAM, 1TB SSD
SFF Lenovo - $560 - Ryzen 7 5000 series, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD
Dell Tower - $800 - 10th-gen i7, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD
If I were going to buy any of these I'd probably get the HP laptop or the Dell Tower. The HP Laptop is actually a really good price for what it is.
Anyway happy computering.

Series collecting new ideas for alternate versions of Elizabeth Braddock who are currently serving on the Captain Britain Corps. Some belong to timelines in which canon established a Warren Worthington but no Betsy Braddock was introduced or mentioned.
THE CAPTAIN BRITAIN CORPS (REFORMED)
As Captain Britain of Seat 616 has discovered, in most of the timelines in which she's alive and serving as champion, she is or has been involved with a Warren Worthington. It should come with a surprise, but it actually doesn't - it seems some paths are just meant to cross. As two butterflies, souls sister but different like day and night, are meant to meet.

DISCLAIMER
REALITIES NUMBER DESIGNATIONS Unless otherwise stated, the numbers of the seat (aka Reality Number) has been random generated. I tried my best to not assign numbers that are already canon given to any alternate reality, but the Marvel canon is full of realities that still haven't been given an official designation (listed with temporary numbers at the Marvel Fandom wikia) that can get their number at some point. Also, I would need to often check in case new realities dropped and took the number I generated. For this reason, I can't guarantee that the number hasn't been used in Marvel canon either for any X-Men AU or another AU seen in any non-X title. Please do not crosscheck on Marvel Fandom.
REALITIES NAME DESIGNATIONS In case of canon realities, the Reality Name might be lifted from Marvel Fandom. I reserve the right to change it, though, should I find it lacking - as when its named after the point of divergence (i.e. "Wolverine Never Joined the X-Men") or is just a description (i.e. "World War II Was Won By Nazis")
CHARACTERS NAMES For realities that diverge from the canon at a specific point ("What If...?" types) but maintain similar history, the characters' names won't be changed - minor changes might apply, such as i.e. Elizabeth's diminutive or a different superhero chosen moniker. For non-canon realities that are completely unrelated from any canon AU and modern setting, I will strive to pick different forms of the canon names, with optional graphic changes to make them unique and unrelated to a specific real-life language. The changes might not be reflect in the original fanfiction, if the AU is related to a fanfiction of mine.
PICTURES The pics used are canon or commissioned for rejected pitched stories. Nonetheless, I will put links to fanarts I either imagine when I think about the specific Betsy, or uniform designs I like.

Reblog | Answer Honestly;
Out of all 24 hours, which one is your favourite?
Morning hours.
Have you ever been in a lighthouse?
I’m not sure.
What are the names of the neighbours to your right?
Arno and Ekaterina. He’s Belgian, she’s Russian.
Left?
I never remember his name, but he’s currently in jail, so who cares. He’s Dutch anyway.
When’s the last time you actually sat down and watched the sun set?
Maybe last summer, I don’t remember.
Are you on a lap top or desk top?
Laptop. The only desktop PC in our house belongs to my husband’s son and I don’t use it. This laptop is entirely mine.
Do you ever make your own surveys?
No, I don’t. I’m not creative enough.
What colour is your shower?
Like... silver or so?
Where do you order your pizza from?
Either Domino’s or Pizza Hut.
When is the past time you had a serious talk with someone?
Last week, I think.
What time are you planning on going to bed tonight?
Pretty soon, that’s for sure.
How old are you, your parents and your siblings combined?
33 + 28 + 60 + 70. Simple math , it’s 191.
The last time you went out of town was?
Last Friday.
And where did you go?
Antwerp. This city is a state of mind, but at least they have a beautiful railway station.
Have you ever been bit by an animal?
Yeah, by my younger cat. But only playfully.
Where is the person you miss the most right now?
Somewhere abroad.
Have you been paying attention to the Olympics much?
Not at all.
How often do you take naps?
Never. It’s a waste of a day.
I know you don’t wanna talk about it, but when do go back to school?
I graduated school in 2010, and I’ve made a university degree then.
Did it rain today?
It didn’t, which I’m shocked about.
What was the name of the last dog you pet?
I don’t pet dogs, I’m allergic to them.
Do you find that you have a certain meal you eat every time you go to certain restaurants?
Yeah, indeed. Autism traits :P
Are you constantly judging people?
No, I never do it. Before you judge someone, first walk a mile in their shoes, is it how the saying goes?
Have you ever had anything stolen from you?
Yeah, but nothing really valuable.
Think back to your freshman year in high school, what was the first class period on your first day of school?
Who remembers that, besides our education system doesn’t work like that.
What colour is your bike?
One is black and red, the other one is silver.
What word can you not stand to hear people say?
Anything offensive towards others.
When was the last time the power went out at your house and how long was it out for?
Never happened, really. Not even during a storm.
What room of your house are you in?
Living room, but soon it’s gonna be bedroom.
When there’s a full moon, does it make your room really bright for a few days?
Yeah, it does. I kinda like it.
What is the temperature in your city right now?
7°C, according to the forecast.
Which would you rather, a snowy day, sunny day, rainy day or cloudy day?:
Sunny day, hands down.
How long have you ever spent away from home?
Two months or so.

Hi I'm Foone Turing. I've been here a while but never really did an introduction post, so...
Hi. Yes, that's my name. I'm an asexual trans enby (they/them pronouns), I'm married, and I'm both older than you expect and younger than you expect, depending on what you know me from. I'm a writer and programmer. I'm better known on Twitter, at the moment. I'm well known for being severely ADHD and I'm also on the autism spectrum, somewhere near ultraviolet. I live near Oakland, California, USA, but I grew up on a farm in the south. I'm a furry, but I don't have a fursona yet.
I'm big into retrotech stuff, especially floppy disks. 80s and 90s PC stuff mainly, but I have a passing interest in everything else. I loves me some weird tech that you have no idea ever existed. I'm also big into analog media. VHS tapes, laserdiscs, that sort of thing.
Fandom wise, I'm a Trekie from way back, primarily in the TNG/DS9/VOY/ENT era. I haven't yet gotten into the new stuff, and I have only a passing knowledge of the original series. I'm also a big fan of Babylon 5, Red Dwarf, and Doctor Who (4th doctor, and new who doctors 9,10,11). I watch a bunch of British panel shows: HIGNFY, Mock the Week, Nevermind the Buzzcocks, 8 out of 10 cats (primarily the countdown spinoff).
I am a Big Hater on crytypocurrentseas and AI art. I used to be famously mad at the JWST, but now that it's in space and functional, I've calmed down. They just need to rename it and I'm golden.
I'm currently splitting my social media presence across three sites:
* Tumblr, obviously. Shitposting, jokes, queer stuff, and queer joke shitposts are all going here.
* mastodon: I'm putting my tech stuff here. Teardowns, building new death generators, fun historical weirdness.
* Twitter: formerly my primary platform, but now I just use it to keep in touch with people and make fun of the impending collapse of Twitter.
Stuff I do and have done after the readmore.
(I'm on mobile now but I'll get back to this on the desktop and add more links)
* I run lettuce.wtf, a webcam showing a lettuce to see if it will outlast Twitter. (My money is literally on the lettuce)
* my long running site The Death Generator: a tool for making fake video game screenshots, with user supplied dialogue.
* I run some Twitter bots, one of which is more popular than me, and all of which will need to be migrated soon: Gay Cats, WinIcons, Print Shop Deluxe, and Every Clue Line.
* I got Microsoft 3D Movie Maker open sourced
* I got rickrolled so hard that it ended up on national TV
* I ran doom on a pregnancy test
* I have made many horrible and weird keyboards. Keyboards with hair, keyboards which write poetry, keyboards that take 5 hours to say "hello world", keyboards with randomly placed keys, keyboards with 7 toggle switches instead of buttons, and many more.
* I tear down random electronics and try to figure out and explain how they work. (originally on Twitter, but moving over to mastodon now)
* I pissed off the FBI on more than one occasion. They tried to get me fired, they delayed my wedding by over a month, and they mentioned my 4chan nickname in a federal trial.
* I used to work for 4chan. I was a moderator and coder, I created /rs/ and /r9k/, and I convinced moot to destroy the original politics board (for obvious reasons). Things went further to shit after I left, but I am still glad I left. Oh and I also inadvertently prevented the creation of the 4chan dating/meet up site by being too ADHD to actually complete development of it. You're welcome.
* I ran a windows 95 machine for the maximum amount of time. There's a bug where it crashes after 49.7 days of uptime, so I let it happen. I livestreamed the end on YouTube.
* I've done exhibits at the Vintage Computer Festival on the history of floppy disks and optical discs.
* I've worked with the Video Game History Foundation (and others) to preserve old games and game development resources (source code and such). I'm big into archival!
* I wrote a really famous Twitter thread about the surprising way our vision works, which is still circulating in screenshots (including on Tumblr!) something like 5-6 years later.
* I made my old apartment play the Zelda Ocarina of Time shop music when you walked I the door.
* I run the Tumblr animefloppies, collecting screenshots and GIFs of floppy disks in anime.
* I run several other sub-tumblrs for collecting weird things, but I'll have to link them later.
* I am technically a speedrunner. I did the TAS of Duke Nukem 1, episode 1, and a joke speedrun of Solar Winds, where I beat the game by ignoring every single possible objective and just flying to the end, which takes over an hour.
* I used to make games. Some of them are available for download.
* but it still do, too: I'm working on a (currently unnamed) game about managing a dairy farm. Both the developers have ADHD. This is going to take forever before it comes out, if it ever does.
* I'm currently working on three books. Two are compilations of stuff previously twitterized, one is a novel:
- Always Screaming Forever: non-fiction, stories about my career in the tech industry and various other tech/science/history stuff I love ranting about.
- The Other Side of Screaming: fiction. My short stories.
- Mundane Kaya Sona (placeholder title): a linguist gets pulled into an FBI investigation into a car crash. An unknown language leads to the discovery of a wizard living in a forest in Oregon, and an interdimensional plot to smuggle nuclear weapons to another world, and break a cold war stalemate we (the planet earth) didn't realize we were in. I've been working on the setting for this story since I was about 7 years old, and I'm excited to finally get it out of my head and into yours.
* I'm probably forgetting like 5-10 major things I've done but ADHD is a hell of a drug. I'll add more as they come to me.

A quick intro to HD physical media
Hey, since @pneumatic-tubes got me thinking about it again, I've been reviving my habit of collecting physical copies of media I like and I thought I'd share some good tools I've found for doing so. It should be said, collecting Blu-Rays is a bit expensive, your average BD movie is gonna cost $30-$40 new, 4K/UHD even more, box sets can cost up to a couple hundred. Even when I was collecting a ton, I really only bought movies and shows that I was absolutely going to watch multiple times. Still, I have them forever, in their original state, in full quality, with extras, and that's definitely worth something.
1.) blu-ray.com
This site is super useful for tracking your collection, getting news and updates on upcoming releases, understanding and finding the differences between releases, and even doing business with other collectors for rare or out of print releases. Create a free account, get the app on your phone, and keep your collection up to date!
2.) Shout! Factory
Shout! Factory is one of the biggest DVD/Blu-ray distributors outside of the major studios, they have hundreds of properties including anime, classic movies, cult horror, foreign films, and more. BestBuy actually carries a lot of their releases in store if you'd rather shop brick-and-mortar.
There are tons of boutique and more genre specific releasing companies still active so I won't list them all here, but if you explore on blu-ray.com, you're bound to find what you're looking for.
3.) RedBox
Even for new releases, getting the physical disk from a RedBox is typically cheaper than renting it on Amazon, Google, Apple, or where ever ($1.99 vs $3.99+). The selection is much more limited, but they do have more than new releases. RedBox carries the retail disks too, so you can watch extra features if you want.
4.) An actual blu-ray player
This one is a bit obvious, for sure, but in case anyone's wants some basic advice on buying one: Sony or LG are your best bet. Sony wrote the blu-ray spec so they're obviously invested in keeping the format alive. A good (4k/uhd) player is still expensive, but many of them double as a streaming player. My Sony UBP-X700M has Netflix, Amazon, and Hulu apps on it. In my desktop PC, I have an LG blu-ray drive (BH16NS40 Blu-ray Disc Rewriter) which is what enables me to do the cool shit in the next item on this list.
I've never explored external BD drives like you'd use for a laptop, hopefully someone who sees this post can give a good suggestion.
5.) MakeMKV
Honestly, this is the real special sauce on this list. Playing Blu-Rays on your PC is a huge pain in the ass. BDROM's DRM schema is absolutely insane, but it's not impenetrable, this is where MakeMKV comes in. MakeMKV is a tool for making legal, authorized back ups of blu-ray disks that you own, regardless of their encryption (obviously you would never make a copy of a disk you got from a RedBox). MakeMKV is currently in "beta" because they have not paid the license fee to legally read blu-rays, but anyone can use it, fully featured while it's in "beta", you just have to refresh the product key once a month. Personally I bought a license because the software is solid as a rock, built for windows and linux, and has been indispensable for blu-ray collecting.
6.) FFMpeg/Handbrake
I'm gonna plug this even tho it's only really applicable to digital copies of movies because I really think more people need to understand how to manipulate media files. The MKV (Matroska Video files) that MakeMKV exports are huge, blu-ray disks are effectively uncompressed video, and MakeMKV doesn't decide to compress them for you. After a while, you're not gonna want to have every movie taking up 30, 40, or even 60+ GB on your PC, so you're going to have to compress/re-encode them. An actual guide on how to encode video properly is outside the scope of this post, but both FFMpeg (command-line, multi-platform, handles anything) and Handbrake (GUI, windows-only, much more user friendly, less features but more focused) are very easy to find guides for.
Well that's about it. Video collecting is a fun hobby and a great way to preserve media you love. Hopefully, as more people get into it, studios will expand their offerings and we can avoid this stupid bullshit that HBO Discovery has put people thru losing access to shit they've already paid for just because some fuck-ass exec decided to pad the bottom line. Take real ownership of your media with these tools and happy collecting!

Survey #459
“i wanted you to know that i love the way you laugh / i wanna hold you high and steal your pain away”
Does the person you like have any flaws? He's never seemed very expressive of what he feels. Has anyone ever given you a ring? Why? Yes. Because it was our anniversary and he wanted to, ig. If you ruled your own country, what type of government would it have? I'm not educated enough to answer this. Creation theory, Evolution or the Big Bang theory? I really don't know what I believe about the origins of the universe, but I do believe in evolution. Describe one of your most emotional farewells. The last time I saw Jason and we talked for a long time, and I finally got my closure. It was all so heavy. It started so stiffly, but it ended with us just chatting and smiling and, to my absolute shock, a hug from him. I'm getting emotional so NEXT QUESTION. What was your last serious conversation about? I was reassuring and comforting Sara about some stuff. Is there a city that you have a particular fondness for? If so, what city is it and why? No. Are there any gnomes in your yard? No. When was the last time you were stung by a bee? What kind was it? Years ago. A bumblebee. Are you gonna buy lottery tickets when you’re old enough? I am old enough, and no. The odds are way, way too small, and I don't really dabble in addictive behavior. Have you ever been into a real cave? No. :( That's a life goal, though. Have you ever posted mean comments on YouTube? I know I did once as a kid. It was regarding Meerkat Manor and I thought it was really disrespectful to Flower just because of the music chosen lmao. The drama. What color is your digital camera, if you have one? Black. If you had to spend one day in any movie storyline, which one would it be? Alice in Wonderland, I suppose? Name the strangest game you’ve ever played (video game or real game): Oh man, I've played waaaaay too many video games. I suppose Silent Hill with how confused it left me at first. Its concept is definitely wild. Parasite Eve is high on the list, too. In your opinion, what is the saddest movie you’ve ever seen? Boy in the Striped Pajamas destroys me. What is the best song to make out to? I could answer this but I'm not gonna lmfao Is there anyone right now that you are simply/overly infatuated with? story of my life ayyyyeeeee Who was the last person to play with your hair? Are they cute? Not a clue. Who was the last person close to you that died? Did you cry? Jason's mom. I sobbed on-and-off for days. Do you consider yourself a healthy person? Physically and mentally? No, in either way. Do you know anyone who owns a boat? My dad does. I'm sure others, too, with how popular fishing out on a boat is here. Do you know anyone who uses medical marijuana? I don't know. Even for medicinal purposes, it's not legal here. Do you know anyone who’s died in childbirth? No. What did you do for your 21st birthday? I was in the psych hospital, so... lmao. Therapy, reading, and coloring. Lots of reading and coloring. Because they did NOT fill your schedule enough there. We only had two group therapy sessions a day, and the rest was just... blankness. If dinosaurs could be tamed, would you want one as a pet? I know I'd be one of the dumb ones that absolutely wanted a tiny raptor, lol. Do you own more than one copy or edition of a book? No. If you could see any musical on Broadway right now, what would it be? Not interested. Do you eat soup when you’re sick? I don't like soup. If you read, which book or series did you enjoy most as a child? My first real series that I read religiously was Hank the Cowdog. Then it was Warriors. Do you buy Halloween candy when it’s on sale after the holiday? No. I really don't need candy available to me. Do you agree with the “they’re just being kids” excuse? It depends on what they're doing. In a lot of cases, no. Do you ever watch talk shows? No. Do you have a/any hero(s)? Mark Fischbach, Steve Irwin, my mom... Have you told your parents all of your secrets from when you were a teen? No. Though Mom has playfully once told me that she knows a lot of things I don't think she does, and that's terrifying lmao. You’re getting married. Who’s your maid of honor and best man? M.o.H.: Mom or Sara. Best man isn't my choice. Would you rather get highlights or dye your whole head? DYE IT ALLLLLLL. Are you wearing anything of any sentimental value? Describe? My friendship ring w/ Sara. It has a heart carved on the outside and "bitch" engraved inside so no one can see when you have it on, lol. She has one that says "jerk." It's a Supernatural reference. Who challenges you the most? In what way? My therapist and psychiatrist. They just help ensure I pursue my goals and give me little nudges forward to reassure me. Who seems to hold you back? In what way? PFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFT ME. I listen to my anxiety WAY too much. What was the last opportunity that you passed up, and why? Going up to Lake Gaston w/ Mom to visit Ash and her fam. They go there all the time, and it's a real nice place. I just didn't want to go because of the heat. Should there be an application process for having children? Hunny, that would not stop people from fuckin lmfao Name one thing that you think defines you as a person? m e e r k a t s What is a fear you have about living on your own? What’s your stance on spooning? It helps me feel safe and loved and alsdkfjalwe I just love cuddling in all sorts lmao What’s your most recent obsession? Plus we haven't talked in a while. Have you ever dated a friend of one of your siblings? God no, that would be so weird. What is the best gift someone can give you? An ear to listen without it feeling like a chore to them. Have you ever dated someone who had a child? No. I don't think I could do it. What is the last movie that made you cry? The The Lion King remake made me tear up. Have you ever played in a waterfall? No. Ugh, that sounds like a blast. In your life who has meant the most to you? Let's not get into this. What has been your biggest failure in life? Letting depression and my other conditions take away my identity, becoming my new identity. Do you trust yourself? No. I second-guess EVERYTHING and never know what I should listen to: my heart, my head, my gut... or which voice is what. Would you ever consider getting an abortion, under any circumstances? Yes. What was the last bug you killed? Some kind in the bathroom. Idk what it was. Just a little thing that sort of resembled an earwig, but not completely. Do you prefer profile pictures by yourself of with someone else? By myself, since it's my page. Do you know anyone who has written a book? I don't think so? Do you drink milk/juice from the carton if no one is around? Ew, no. I live with another person, and even if I didn't, what if I had guests? Has anyone ever told you they liked you in a realllly sweet way? Maybe? Has a member of the opposite sex ever given you jewlery? Jason has. Do you find sleeping in cars easy? NOOOOOOOOOO. I'm too scared to let my eyes close and not see what's going on on the road. Has a boyfriend’s/girlfriend’s parents ever gotten mad at you? Why? I don't believe so, no. What is the funniest thing a child has ever said to you. Definitely something my niece has said, but idr what it was. What’s been on your mind lately? Y'all know, lol. Do you feel like you need to get something off your chest? No. Sara was recently there for that. ♥ How would you react if someone told you they had feelings for you? Be very very excited if it was from a certain person.

Fallout 2 For Intel Mac
Nexuiz for Mac OS v.2.5.2 A fast paced 3d deathmatch game project created online by a team of developers called Alientrap. It is available for download for Windows, Mac. Forums: Index Fallout and Fallout 2 general discussion Fallout 2 on Mac OS 10.6.2? Hello, all, I have a MacBook Pro, 2.33 GHz Cure 2 Duo, running OS 10.6.2. I have in my hands a factory-sealed copy of the Mac version of Fallout 2. I'd like to play it. I've heard that Snow Leopard will not. Fallout 2: A Post Nuclear Role Playing Game is a turn-based role-playing open world video game developed by Black Isle Studios and published by Interplay Productions in October 1998. While featuring a considerably larger game world and a far more extensive storyline, it mostly uses similar graphics and game mechanics to those of Fallout. The game's story takes place in 2241, 80 years after. OldVersion.com provides free. software downloads for old versions of programs, drivers and games. So why not downgrade to the version you love? Because newer is not always bett. I have heard about Parallels and Bootcamp but dont know which one is better/ how to even go about using them. Also there's the issue if my Mac can even handle it, since its a bit old in the computer world. My specs: Currently on OS X Yosemite. Macbook Pro 13in, Mid 2012. 2.9GHz/ intel core i7. 8Gb 1600 MHz DDR3. Intel HD Graphics 4000 1024MB.
Apple’s first-ever virtual Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC) came with the usual slew of mostly predictable announcements, like upgrades to the iPhone and iPad operating systems, new features for its AirPod earbuds, and more. But its most striking news was a decision to shift from powering its Mac devices with Intel processors in favor of its own homemade chip, which it’s calling “Apple silicon.”
The Cupertino, Calif. tech giant claims the move will bring myriad benefits: it will make Macs faster, let them benefit from the company’s latest machine learning technology (for features like augmented reality, photo processing, facial recognition and more), and make it easier for developers to bring popular apps from the iPhone and the iPad to desktops and laptops. The transition to Apple silicon will take about two years; more Intel-powered Macs are yet to come.
Apple silicon differs from Intel’s processors by virtue of their architecture, which determines how a computer executes tasks. Apple is using ARM technology, which boasts faster performance with less power use compared to the architecture used by Intel (and its rival AMD). Generally, ARM processors make sense for devices like phones and tablets (because ARM chips use less battery power), while Intel and AMD’s chips have made more sense for high-performance desktops and laptops (where battery usage is less of a concern).
While the move may seem like a major blow to Intel—a longtime processor giant whose “Intel Inside” motto was once ubiquitous in computer stores—the company has already been moving away from making chips for companies like Apple, focusing instead on autonomous vehicle hardware, AI analytics, and high-margin, high-end processors for entertainment and gaming PCs.
“They recognize the challenges that are inherent in the client businesses these days and while they’re not going anywhere, they’re certainly trying to diversify themselves away from that,” says NPD Group analyst Stephen Baker. The Apple news, he says, is “not great, but in the long run I don’t think it’ll have an incredible impact on Intel.”
To be sure, Intel faces some headwinds. It still leads in market share, but it has consistently lost ground in the consumer market month after month to rival AMD (AMD’s share of the desktop market jump from 12% to 18% in the past two years, according to Mercury Research). Intel has also struggled to gain ground in the mobile world—it sold its ARM processor subsidiary in 2005, it killed off a pair of experimental augmented reality glasses in 2018, and last year stopped making 5G smartphone modems in favor of focusing on 5G infrastructure.
Fallout 2 For Intel Macbook
Perhaps Intel’s biggest struggle—and a reason it lost favor with Apple—is a never-ending battle with the laws of physics. Processors are composed of billions of transistors that perform calculations by turning on and off. The larger the transistor (measured in nanometers, or “nm”), the more power it uses. By using smaller transistors, you can fit more of them on a processor, which means more computing power, but also more energy efficiency. All told, the size of a processor’s transistors is a good indicator of how powerful that processor will be.
For most of modern computing history, chipmakers like Intel have been able to rely on “Moore’s law”—an observation that the number of transistors you can fit on a single chip doubles about every two years, thanks mostly to technological improvements. But, space being a finite thing, it’s getting harder and harder to cram transistors onto processors. As of today, Intel can make 10 nm processors, but even that achievement came after significant delays that put it behind the curve. By comparison, Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company, which makes mobile chips designed by Apple, has released smaller, more efficient 7 nm processors for mobile devices.
Intel’s delay in introducing 10 nm processors may have contributed to Apple’s decision to go their own way. “Having their own microprocessor architecture is something they’ve wanted to do since the Jobs era, for sure, to not be beholden to an outside partner,” says Jon Stokes, author of Inside the Machine: An Illustrated Introduction to Microprocessors and Computer Architecture, and co-founder of technology site Ars Technica. “I think the tipping point was when ARM started to catch up to Intel in … performance, and Intel stalled in processor leadership.”
Still, Intel is doing fine when it comes to powering other companies’ laptops, along with its other projects in AI and autonomous vehicle sensors. Its PC-centric business (providing processors for consumers’ desktops and laptops) grew by 14% year-over-year in the first quarter of 2020 as people bought new devices to work from home in the COVID-19 era. But in a sign of the company’s evolution, its best performing sector has been its data center group, which boosted revenue by 23% year-over-year thanks to an increase in cloud services.
Fallout 2 For Intel Macbook Pro
What should the everyday Apple user make of the switch from Intel? It may end up being something to celebrate: Apple has a good track record of designing chips; the processor in the iPhone has outperformed Intel-powered laptops at certain tasks. Furthermore, the company is bringing popular third-party developers like Adobe on board early in the process, which should ensure that Apple silicon-powered Macs have plenty of useful software from jump (avoiding a critical misstep Microsoft made when releasing an ARM-powered Surface). That Macs armed with ARM will be instantly compatible with millions of existing iPhone and iPad apps is another nice bonus. And if Apple’s making Macs with iPhone-like internals, it’s not much of a stretch to imagine features like integrated LTE or 5G wireless connectivity, Face ID, and other mobile-only goodies come to its desktops and laptops. All told, Apple betting on itself might be the best decision the company has made since, well, betting on Intel.

🖥️My new home computer (w/ my paper dolls) [Nov 6, 2020]🏠
Hi! Today I’m gonna discuss about my new home computer. Well not literally a “brand new” but rather a “new home” for storing all of my files and a bunch of stuff, plus my former bro’s gaming pc desktop had a medium specs 🖥️⬆️ (as I’m assume) than the old laptop Lenovo G470′s specs 💻⬇️. The best part, I could play any PC Games I want 😃; as long as the system requirements are passed and adjust the gameplay settings, depending on what PC games I want to play… Although I’m only play some racing games 🏎️ and also GTA series 🏙️ of games rather than any genre.
If you haven’t watch or seen my video post then please - [CLICK ME!]
Nevertheless, let’s go with my discuss about it.
• As a promise, I made a final remarks about the old computer laptop that I formerly used - the Lenovo G470… This old laptop wasn’t originally belong to my young bro. nor myself and my big bro, it was originally owned by our related sister. Back in 2014 it was gifted to us (albeit with a missing battery pack and also had a minor issues on it) because she had a brand new laptop, and so we’re now a possession of this old yet very useful laptop. We have a tons of memories about it, and I can’t explain a lot... It’s not that I would say a bad memories but rather some good times that I won’t type in, so let’s skip on it. Even all of my artworks from the old laptop that I won’t tackle because it’s just too many, my apologize...😅
○ Anyways, I remember in Nov. 20th, 2016 when I played the 🚗Need For Speed Most Wanted 2005🚘 (not the 2012 version); a need for speed game that I never completed the campaign since I played on the PS2, which is one of the best NFS game’s masterpiece by EA. Please [CLICK ME!] to see my photo. I have a tons of photos and screenshots that you need to check out, although I can’t make a links because there are so many of it but I’ll make a single link for you - [CLICK ME! (last update Aug. 8, 2017)]. So did you finished the entire campaign you may asked? Actually yeah I did, although I didn’t the 100% completion because there are some other hidden tasks that needed to do, but I’d just moving on to other stuff...
○ Speaking of moving on, another game that I already completed unlike NFSMW’05; and that is 🏙️Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas🏙️, an open-world type genre and another PC game masterpiece of the 2000′s made by Rockstar Games (not EA). I began play GTA:SA on March 25th, 2018 and I completed on the same month & date in 2019 (March 25th, 2019) with the 💯“100% completion”💯 (unlike I did in GTA: Vice City, but don’t worry I’ll be plan to play it once again); what a coincidence, am I right? (Mmmm... Maybe.) Again I’ll make a single link about it - [CLICK ME!], because they’re just so many posts I have throughout the year. Also this one too, I made an artwork for reward a 100% completion in GTA:SA - [CLICK ME!].
○ PC Games are not the only one that I played, but also, UNO from fb games, and some emulators that I played; from the 🎮 VirtualNES Nintendo Entertainment System / Famicom emulator [CLICK ME!] to 🎮 Fusion Sega classic consoles emulator (particularly I played Genesis/Mega Drive) to 🎮 ZSNESW Nintendo Entertainment System / Super Famicom emulator ,etc... Especially the 🎮 ePSXe Sony PlayStation 1 emulator - [CLICK ME!]. Yeah, that’s my main game emulator though and there’s no doubt about it.
○ Heck I even installed a driver for my first medium size drawing/graphics tablet a months ago, my XP-Pen Deco 01 V2 😊🖊️📝💻? Yeah, I’m sure one of my closes friend(s) remember that. And it’s still continues through my current topics today, because I have so much to test for...
○ Not only that but also I tested out my 8Bitdo wireless adapter 'PS Classic Edition’ connecting through my Sony PS4 DualShock 4 V2 controller 💻🎮 (example [CLICK ME!]), which is also my still continuing topic on my current list, but don’t worry I will be done for it before the next controller that I want to review on; though this time with the same brand as I have - [CLICK ME!].😉
○ So with all of my best memories that share to you, it all comes to my... Final Remarks: - I’m so thankful, for all the things that I’ve done with this old Lenovo G470 laptop. And to think the lifespan of the old laptop was super incredible impress, we have some ups and downs, fix and damage (like what happen this week and some numerous moment from the previous years), and also occasionally crashed from the blue screen. I know that’s the worst, but the laptop can keep get up and get going; I’m just so proud of it. Regardless of that, I wanted to say... “Thank You”😌... Thank you for all the memories that I’ve done with you, and I couldn’t done anything... Anything at all without that awesome yet old Lenovo G470 laptop.🥲 👐
○ BUT - that doesn’t mean I won’t steal or yanking (if I prefer) laptop’s hard drive and transfer it onto the PC desktop; no no… I rather leave it (as my young brother told me), so I won’t loose all of my memories and other files inside from that laptop. Instead I decided to put it on the storage shelve as my cherish prized possession.😉
1st to 5th Image(s): • So here are the 5 photos that I took, in which what you see as the final moment for the Lenovo G470 laptop before I made a changing overhaul... Well not everything but you’ll see in my new 5 images right now... My paper dolls are gonna miss the old laptop, and they say “Goodbye” before I took away from my desk, good for you you two.🥲
6th to 10th Image(s): • So after I arranged all stationaries and the single monitor, take a look of the new position! No cooling pad required here, because this ain’t a laptop anymore. It’s just a single monitor with a free space! My paper dolls agrees on that, likewise. 🙂 That said, I have two space slots - both top and bottom; whether I could put my wireless keyboard on the top or the usual way it depends on my position. Heck I could put my items when I needed or serve as my review stuff or even my XP-Pen (Deco 01 V2) drawing/graphic tablet for a better working sketch/draw, so who knows.😊
So anyways, I hope you enjoy my story, discuss and remarks about the old laptop (Lenovo G470) and moving to the gaming PC desktop. And don’t worry I will show ya my young bro’s “new gaming PC desktop” coming up soon , and compare to the old one that I’m currently used.
But for now that’s the end of my topic, and my new journey begins with my new home computer using my young bro’s former old gaming PC desktop.🖥️😊
If you want to see the 4 year old new look version looks like then please - [CLICK ME!].😉
