It’s with the heaviest of hearts I share that my beautiful, patient, loving golden girl passed away last Wednesday (15/01/2025) at 0930. After 3 surgeries and countless hospital stays at under 2 years old, she was diagnosed with inflammatory bowel disease. She fought every single day with an immune system that attacked itself no matter what. She hung on and gave us 9 beautiful and precious years of her love.

I thought the loss of Gracie would come with warning…but it did not.

Within 20 minutes of collapsing we bundled her into the car and raced to the vet. She was there for 5 minutes before she went into cardiac arrest. We prayed for every minute of the total 35 minutes of CPR that was administered, but eventually we had to let her go. She held on and fought with everything she had left, but her degree of pulmonary oedema was too severe.

I still can’t believe she’s really gone.
