to any anons on the fence about buying an ery, i got mine in and she's wonderful! oueneifs did an amazing job with mine so she's 100% worth it in my opinion. her sculpt is super cute and worth the price. and oueneif's custom faceups are godlike, they can do any faceup you want and it'll look exactly like the reference pic you give them!

I first came to know Culur from this blog, because of all the shit she was getting. I started following her, fell in love with her faceups, and eventually decided to commission her one. Everyone tried to convince me not to do so, but I sent a head to her anyway. Well, she took 2 weeks to complete my faceup, constantly kept in touch, assured the head would arrive home safe and was, overall, a sweetheart. Sorry guys, no petty confessions this time! It's my understanding that culur designed the cheerleader faceups? In any case, holy shit the doll looks so much better than the 1st wave, in my opinion. So bright and pretty.

Geez, I just saw a Culur faceplate (only, no body or headback) on bid for 1000 usd (it will probably be more tomorrow). It has a nice faceup, but it is literally just a face, not even a head!!

Dragon’s back from her make over!!! Her new face up is taking her back to her character from 8, 9 years ago when I first got her (got this really serious look and personality LOL). And the silver on her face up goes much better with the new dragon horns I got for her. I’m really excited about taking her to some other places for outdoor photoshoots in summer!!!

Culur did a faceup for me on a recast back when she was running recast groups. She 'lost' the head at the post. She refused to refund me the cost of the faceup and wouldn't replace the head. Seeing her switch gears from recast to create and sell dolls for hundreds of dollars and tout pro-artist stuff felt really fishy. Then she ended up stealing hundreds of dollars from that botched pre-order. I don't know why anyone trusted her. but she still has undying loyal fans. It boggles my mind.

Just for the record, clear nail enamel is unlikely to harm a doll that's been sealed with MSC, Testors or Purity Seal. Enamel and lacquer paints can etch plastics, including resin, BUT hobby sealants ARE lacquer, specially formulated for plastics. Enamel on top of lacquer is OK in small amounts. The bigger threat from nail enamel is staining because of intense pigments. Clear enamel? Not really a problem. I don't like Culur either, but let's find something worth being outraged over.
