Danny raises Superman au
So we all know that Superman touched down in Kansas and was adopted by the Kents and bla bla bla. But you know what state also has farms and is only like 600 miles away? Illinois.
So Danny is chilling in the countryside, enjoying his sweet, peaceful early retirement when an alien pod, that's a little a lot off course, suddenly crashes near his house. When he checks it out, there's a baby inside. Welp looks like he's a father now. No way is he risking the government getting their greedy little mits on this precious ray of sunshine.
Clark grows up with a father who teaches him early on how to control his powers and use them for good (They may or may not stop a robbery or two occasionally). He also gets two cool aunts. One is free spirited and always bringing him souvenirs from her travels. The other is very grounded and teaches him many techniques to deal with his conflicting emotions (his father is not happy when he uses said techniques on him).
Danny for his part is happy we his son develops a support system like he did. They can even actively help him beat up the villains! He's overjoyed at the man Clark becomes and even happier when he brings home an ace reporter who knows how shifty the government can be. He might be already saving up for their wedding but who can say?

Long Distance Relationship (Heaven)
After learning that there was a new Ghost King, Sera sent Emily and a few other angels to go meet him and see if he was an improvement over the old one. When the younger seraphim returns she happily reports that the new Ghost King was named Danny, that he is a much nicer guy than Pariah Dark ever was, and that she needs something called a ācell phoneā to make use of a series of numbers Danny gave her.

I was reading on of your posts and I LOVE the idea of different Fenton families believe in different supernatural creatures but not others, like the guys we see in the show have ghosts but what about Fentons who live in the middle of the woods and believe in werewolves? What about Fentons who live on a boat and believe in Sirens?
What are the cultures of these other Supernaturals really like? Do they get along well with ghosts? Does Danny know they exist? Who told him or did he stumble upon them himself? What is his option on them?
IS WULF A DEAD WEREWOLF????
If you reply to this please tag me so I can see your ideas because I donāt know if people answering to your asks gives a notification.
thank you for loving my idea, Iāve been thinking about it for so long. I think I saw the idea somewhere and picked it up, but that was honestly years again haha. And yeah, getting asks answered-for me at least-doesnāt notify me unless I literally click on the Activity tab to see thatās itās answered. Pretty weird.
So @lazerswordweilder, yeah, I do think that there would be different Fenton branches believing in different supernatural creatures, with their own reasoning as to why they think their own supernatural creatures exist. Iād like to think that some take the more scientific approach, like the branch that believes in aliens(and the Fentons we know and love), while others take the more āI believe that this real so it must be soā approach. The later is more rare, and even then they usually have their own explanations for why they believe, letās say, sirens exist. They all are stubborn and steadfast with their beliefs.
Some Fentons might be open to believing in other supernatural creatures, like those believing in werewolves open to believing in other were-beasts. If itās not too far fetched from what they originally believe in, thereās a good chance that they might incorporate it into their belief system.
Other Fentons, however, would likely not believe in ghosts if they believe in something like sirens. Itās too far removed from their original belief that unless they get real, concrete proof, that they couldnāt ever possibly deny, they wonāt believe it. Only a sirenās ghost could make a siren believer believe in ghosts. And that doesnāt mean that the ghost believer would believe in sirens, because of their preexisting view on ghosts(like how the Fentons we know donāt really seem to think of ghosts as dead people), they would just think that itās a ghost that just so happens to look like one of those sirens.
Also Wulf being a werewolf when alive is neat, I can see two different Fenton family arguing about him. With his power to open portals and his general, not really all that ghostly appearance, he looks more like a psychopomp, a being that guides souls to the underworld. So even if the werewolf believing Fentons have some belief in ghosts, they wouldnāt immediately think of Wulf as one, just think of his as this soul-guiding werewolf.
And I think almost any creature can become a ghost. No one has any realā¦prejudices against ghosts. Maybe annoyment or fear, but there are no wars or battles against ghosts unless they are the ones to start them, which is really rare since most ghosts just haunt the person/family/even small village they want to and pass on. Hatred towards ghosts is usually specific, but most people donāt really want to deal with them.
So, upon seeing Danny, a small ghost child who walking around in a hazmat suit, beating up annoying and dangerous ghosts, they would probably respect him. And pity him, heās a child after all. And ghost minds typically donāt mature, so even if Danny acts more mature than he looks, it just garners more pity. Some supernatural creatures may seek him out if they have a nasty ghost problem, but Iād like to think that most ghosts arenāt like the ones in Amity Park, the really dangerous ones.
I think thatās all I have for now, thanks for the ask! Oh, and I think Danny would love aliens, obviously. Heād be nervous around other supernatural creatures, but may or may not warm up to them on an individual basis.

human traffic (1999)
review from my letterboxd (4th rewatch):
I honestly feel like the intimacy scenes in this film are the most honest and beautifully shot masterpieces I've ever scene, not a single part feels unnecessary and the laughs and love are just so genuine. This film healed something in me.
I am obsessed with this movie, it's still my favourite, I think I found it at the perfect time in my life. Everytime I show this to somebody they enjoy it just as much as I do and I'm so glad, this is forever going to be a cult classic of mine.

Lore Post: The Goddess of Messages, Prophecy, and Portents
Another goddess, this time with a unique relationship with another of the Divine. At some point I'll post about her sister, for now you'll have to make do with the Goddess of Portents. I don't have anything currently planned for her themes, but she should be a fun one to work with in the future. You'll find a primer on her below.
The Goddess of Messages, Prophecy, and Portents, BrinnglĆ³id is a lower regarded of the Divine among the pantheon. Because prophecy is such a rare gift, even among the Zone, most think her powers paltry. This is intensified by the fact her visions often focus on the mundane or small.
Truthfully, BrinnglĆ³id gives her most powerful visions to those among the Living World, in all but a few exceptions. Because ghosts are often stubborn and their psyches prone to coloring everything through the biased lens of the 'obsessions', she does not often bother with sending portents.
However, there are a few noted Prophets and Seerers among her most devote acolytes in the Zone, and they maintain her shrines with a sense of grim duty and knowledge of impending doom.
She has also blessed a few 'lucky' mortals in more recent times, especially those in more spiritually active places like "Amity Park". Though, the ability to do so is dependent on the natural spiritual powers of those she interacts with, and so her prophets have decreased in number somewhat over time even among the Living.
All incarnations/manifestation in the material plane live deep in secluded parts of the Zone, peering deeply into a water well for subtle signs of her instructions. Empowered to carry out her will among the Timebound, they have warned of several recent disasters, including most recently the creation of the First Halfa.
The rest of her temple attendants and average worshipers call on her aid to safeguard letters and correspondence throughout the Zone, especially for messages of great import.
Consequentially, royal messengers are her most common worshiper, with a secondary and much smaller set making up those who truly believe in her powers to divine the future.

INCREDIBLE concept, really takes it to the next level. The Justice League not knowing what they're doing, and what they'd failed to do for all of that time. Bruce especially having this immediate connection and sympathy for the victims because that could've been Jason, that almost WAS Jason.
Imagine if the GIW started gunning for Jason without the Batfam ever meeting Phantom. Like, Bruce has to figure out on his own that the guys in white suits with Lazarus guns are 1. a legitimate government agency, and 2. are perfectly within their rights to hunt Jason like an animal, because 3. there's secret government legislation that says that since Jason's body processes ectaplasm, he's classified as non-sapient and has no legal protections.
Bruce calling up Clark like
Bruce: I am currently in the process of breaking into a government facility in order to dismantle their operations.
Clark: Okay? Do you need... help?
Bruce: Yes.
Clark: Sure, I'll be right there.
Bruce: Not that kind of help. Oracle is sending you the files now. I'd like you and Ms. Lane to make these people wish they were never born.
Clark: [speed-reading the documents] Oh yeah, can do. This is truly disgusting. If the public is half as outraged as I am, we'll get this sorted as fast as the courts can manage.
So Clark Kent acts as a whistle-blower, the Justice League publicly condems the Anti-Ecto Acts as inhumane, the GIW is disbanded, and Batman gets pardoned for all of those crimes that he technically did by assaulting federal agents. And after all that gets sorted, some white haired kid pops up in the Watchtower like "haha thanks for that I really didn't want a war between Earth and the Infinite Realms" and the League are like "wait what"
#also Jason having to deal with misplaced guilt but also that he's not completely human anymore#and there's the whole new culture that he's a part of now#and danny being a part of that#danny phantom#batfam#dp x dc#moodycow210

But if Batman won't adopt Danny... who will?
Starfire, and she is all over her new little brother!
Shortly after establishing the Teen Titans, Robin (Dick) introduces āPhantomā to the group, because seriously, heās not introducing him as āDanny.āĀ Kinda defeats the purpose of a secret identity when you use your name in your superhero moniker.Ā And shows Phantom his room.
Robinās actual goal is to get Phantom to join the Titans, but even taking short cuts through the Ghost Zone, Jump City is still a good ways away from Amity Park, and he has parents, soā¦ Itās still a nice gesture and all, and Phantom will come visit, but no.
Still, heās never met other teens who are heroes in their own right like he is, so heās excited to meet Robinās new team. Ā The other Titans think itās a little weird for this not-member to have his own room in the Tower, but the place is huge, and Robin trusts him, so itās fine. Ā Itās a bit awkward at first as theyāre all still getting used to each other, but Phantom quickly makes friends with all of them.
But itās his friendship with Starfire that grows first and fastest.Ā As soon as he finds out sheās an alien from another planet, he latches on and must know everything.Ā Starfire more than welcomes the attention. While she knows the Titans care for her, theyāre not alwaysā¦ receptive to the traditions and customs of her culture. Phantom, on the other hand, is enraptured as she tells him about her culture, her holidays, the planets sheās been to, everything.
So she asks if heād be interested in learning Tamaranean? Yes! 100%! Absolutely! Phantom picks up the language quickly and returns the favor by helping Starfire with her English. While the ability to absorb language through lips is handy, itās by no means perfect, and Phantom helps her with things like contractions, slang, idioms, etc.
It also helps that after a couple sparring sessions with each other, Phantom and Starfire realize just how durable their partner is.Ā For Starfire, the people and things on Earth can be so delicate. And for Phantom, if he doesnāt watch himself and hurts a human too badly, itās just more justification to call him an āevil ghostā that should be ripped apart molecule by molecule. Both are thrilled to finally be able to fight all out again without worrying about the consequences if they lose. And Starfire also uses it to teach Phantom some Tamaranean martial arts for aerial combat so maybe heāll stop crashing into so many walls.
But what really changes the relationship is the Body Swap incident (not to be confused with the Freaky Friday incident). Similar to what happened with the Puppet King in Switched, Phantom and Starfire switch bodies while fighting an enemy.Ā Unlike what happened in Switched, Phantom and Starfire and two teen powerhouses with green energy powers triggered by emotions. And the emotional triggers they use are in the same ballpark. Starfireās āunbridled joy of flightā to fly is very similar to how Phantom revels in the pure freedom of flight he feels. Both get angry when they use blasts. Itās very much a āif you believe in it, you can do itā kind of power set. Starfire canāt really figure out Phantomās more ghostly abilities like invisibility or intangibility, but they very quickly adapt to each otherās shared powers on the fly during battle.Ā But thereās one power Starfire wants to use against the hordes of minions that Phantom wonāt share the trigger for: the Ghostly Wail. Ā He tries to tell her itās not a good move, that itāll use up too much power, it should only be used as a last resort, itāll cause too much collateral damage, etc., but Starfire wants to know, and eventually he tells her.
āT-terrorā¦ and desperation.ā
Starfire rushes to give Phantom the biggest hug ever because those are such horrible feelings, and she doesnāt want to imagine what conditions must have led to him developing such a power because no one should have to feel such feelings. He is right; and that is not a power she needs to use to win this battle.Ā The minions are defeated, the villain is forced into a temporary retreat, and the Teen Titans return to the Tower to regroup and plan.
However, Starfire doesnāt know how to power through and hold onto Phantomās ghostly form, and as soon as the adrenaline from the fight wears off, rings of white light spread out of her middle, and Phantom turns back into Danny in the middle of the living room.
But more importantly, everyone needs to get out of the way RIGHT NOW because while Phantom can ignore his biological needs for days, Danny canāt, and Starfire has never had to pee this badly ever in her whole life and everyone needs to MOVE, PLEASE! as she rushes into the nearest bathroom.
Phantom/Danny is now panicking, because even as an alien, heās pretty sure sheās bound to notice that some bits of male anatomy that should be there areā¦ missing.Ā Heās begging her, through the door in Tamaranean, not to tell anyone about his secret. Ā Heās not ready to come out yet, and heās honestly pretty scared heās about to lose her friendship, too. Ā Starfire doesnāt really care. So long as youāre a strong warrior, Tamaraneans donāt care whatās going on in someoneās pants, and sheās just relieved she didnāt have to figure out different plumbing while in his body.Ā Starfire opens the door.Ā While she knows that the people of Earth are not always as understanding, Danny need not fear her.Ā She will not tell anyone he's trans until he is ready to tell them himself and supports him and goes in for a hug.
Except you havenāt washed your hands; gross!Ā They both laugh it off, but when Starfire goes to wash her hands, the water freezes.Ā The cold energy in Dannyās core is building, and Starfire doesnāt know how to let it out. Ā They need to switch back to their own bodies soon, or Dannyās body, and Starfire, might not survive.Ā A little more training so Starfire can turn back into Phantom, and the Titans are ready for the final act, take down the final villain and Starfire and Phantom are back in their own bodies.Ā
But after that, Phantom is no longer Starfireās friend. Ā Danny is her little brother, and she tells him her name is Koriandār, or Korāi for short.

GhostKing!Maddie
Reveal gone right. Good parents Jack and Maddie.
Danny tells his parents that heās Phantom and they accept him with open arms and hearts and the willingness to change their views. With this they start their research on Ghost culture, because thatās a part of their babyās life (afterlife?) now so of course theyāre going to make sure they understand their son so as to avoid potential culture clashes in the future.
(Did you know ghosts fight as a form of bonding?! Fascinating!)
At some point in their research they learn that the method of succession for the title of King of the Infinite Realms if for the former king to be defeated in trial by combat.
They learn that Danny defeated the former king tyrant Pariah Dark.
Their little Dann-o is the new King.
But heās just a baby! Their baby! Cry his parents.
Danny is only 14, going on 15. Even if heās a teenager heās still their baby boy, and he is far too young to be forced to deal with politics alongside school and all the other dramas that come with teenagerhood.
They were young once, the Fenton parents remember how major some things were for teenagers and how stressful it could be. And Danny had already been through so much with protecting the town. And they wanted to make up for what they put him through before they knew it was him. Danny says it alright, they didnāt know but they do now and that accept him and thatās what matters! And oh do their hearts ache at the memories of shooting at their son and all the terrible things they said about him while he was right there.
No, they wouldnāt allow their son to deal with everything in his own when they could help him. Somehow. How do they help with this?
Then, Maddie demands an audience with the council. There, declares herself the King.
The Observants argue that she canāt possibly be the King as she is not a ghost, nor did she defeat the previous king to take the title. And anything else that they could use to oppose the idea.
Maddie counters that as her son isnāt even legally old enough to drive yet (the age is 16 in American right?) he cannot take on such responsibilities until he is of a certain age. Jack is nodding along enthusiastically as Maddie verbally eviscerates these floating eyeballs.
Clockwork is smirking in the corner. He likes Phantomās mother. And he agrees with the Drs Fenton. He backs her up, and says that young Daniel had other pressing matters to attend to and that yes, he is in fact too young for the full responsibilities that come with being the King of the Infinite Realms. He is so young, and still of the living being a halfa that he would require education of the Realms laws before he could officially take up the crown.
But what about Maddie? Sheās fully human, how could she possibly be placed in that position then without the same training?
Clockwork smiles as Frosbite or maybe Pandora, one of Dannyās other allies, states that the council could handle things until then, and that they would have had to have waited regardless for Danny to be up to speed before he could feasibly take on the role of King and confidently make decisions without the guidance of the council at every turn. With Maddie as a placeholder she could still sign off on things or act as a figure head, at least until Phantom could take on his role as the fully realised King.
Anyway, Maddie becomes the Ghost King. Or at least temporarily while her baby boy finishes high school and can decide what he wants to do. At least this is one less thing he has to worry about.
This however results in instances of cults and all manner of people trying to summon the Ghost King for one reason or another. But instead they get one Dr Maddie Fenton.
Sometimes itās some kids that were fooling around at a slumber party, and she warns them on the dangers of summoning unknown entities without doing proper throughout research before hand and ensuring they have the proper protective measures if something were to go wrong.
And then there are cults and magic users and everything in-between that are trying to summon the Ghost King for personal gain.
These individuals are more often than not met with the sight of a bazooka, pulled from seemingly thin air, aimed directly at them as the very ominous sound of the woman counting down echos in the air. The ones with half a brain would book it.
All of this while maintaining the midwestern politeness would be both hilarious and a little ominous.
Then one day the Justice League, or any of the other teams, are breaking up a cult ritual that they got wind of to summon a powerful being for the purpose of destroying something or someone. Iām not to fussed on their motives.
But just before they can stop it the summing is cast and the air is filled with such a heavy sense of forbidding that it makes the hairs on the back of oneās beck stand on end.
The room darkens, the shadows seemingly converging in the centre of the summoning circle. It feels hard to breathe, and thereās a hint of something other in the air around them that just keeps increasing in intensity. It feels like reality is being around them, and just as quickly as it all began a crack appears within the circle. And a toxic green (Lazarus green) glow seems out of it as it opens like the unhinging jaw of a predator. Thereās a blinding flash of green and then there is a woman, judging by her build, in a teal spandex suit with goggles fastened on her face.
She scans the room in silence before her eyes falls on the heroes standing in defensive positions before her. The cultists are all tied up or knocked out, or just frozen in place because holy shit the summing worked.
Itās never worked before.
But who is this woman?
And where is the Ghost King?
The head cultist, whom was still yet to be detained, demands to know who she is and where is the Ghost King?!
Maddie smiles as she pulls out her Fenton bazooka and says, āOh bless your heart, I am the Ghost King!ā
Where this goes from here, Iām not sure. This was all I had when is tarted writing this and right now Iām too tired to think. I just hope someone likes it and if you do, feel free to add anything! And if you have any critiques feel free to tell me!
(My apologise if I leave out a chunk of information, Iām writing this in my pyjamas half asleep and just trying to get it all written down. Also Iām not from the US, and havenāt watched Danny Phantom in a hot minute, so if I got something wrong pls forgive me.)

You know what seriously doesn't get played with enough?
In the grand, shared, doll set of Danny Phantom?
The cultural alienation.
Is Danny up to date on Human Memes? Did he see that movie? Hear about that celebrity drama? He lives here, amongst us, WITH us. But? Feels... half out of the loop.
And? He can't SHARE his passions with us.
Is he REALLY gonna show his new lecture buddy that hot new Kryptonian Sci-fi series he picked up from the Zone's nearest mega market bookstore? Invite a neighbor over for some sparkling ectoplasm laced soda and a binge of this cool Alien animated film from a long dead planet's artist guild? They're trying new mediums, apparently! Danny thinks it's pretty cool, he hopes they make more.
Oh, but maybe he can talk about games!
Except he switched to the technologically far more advanced Z-Held, years ago. They have literally billions of billions of options, since every game maker in their region of the Zone designs for it. Has for millennia.
....music?
Ghost speak either creeps people out or actually hurts to hear, if they listen too long. And "normal" music... feels so FLAT. Emotionless. Yeah, he'll LISTEN... smile and agree it sound nice. But it's... it's so bland? Less then bland.
He can't even share his food! It's a one way trip to ER! If not the morgue. Half his spices are FROM the Zone now. And Zone plants? Heeeeeella poisonous to humans. Tasty af to HIM, but... yeah. No sharing.
So like... what does that LEAVE him? Dance? Hobbies? Sam n Tucker he can share his REAL interests with, but... they went to different colleges. And protecting people isn't a hobby. It's more of a Gotta, you know? He ALSO can't join any space related clubs because now he knows WAY too much about Space.
Like "above civilian clearance, no one on this planet should know that" a lot.
He gets distracted. Too excited. He KNOWS himself.
He would totally ramble on about Space.
He's a Fenton, man. It's genetic.
So... he's lonely. Adrift. A sad, sad, semi-feral noodle of a man. And you know who would never let that stand? Who also wants to know what THE FUCK he's listen too, because it's both giving him a headache and creeping him out? Kon.
This dude reminds him of Tim. Complete with the feral energy and fluffy hair. *snaps pick* lol, bro, is you. ANYWAY, this guy? Apparently the source of the Kent family splitting migraines. That sound has been KILLING them. They need to get this guy better headphones. Aliens gotta stick together, you know? Time to go make friends.
*floats over in his shades n leather jacket* Sup~!

Stolen Sanguine World-Building Dump
@taptrial2 asked and ye shall receive. What follows is a mass information pit for my Vlad Cleavage AU Danny Phantom vampire AU, Stolen Sanguine. This post will just be about world-building, the storyline will be covered separately.
The time period and culture influences are deliberately vague, but it's pseudo-Victorian, pseudo-fantasy, pseudo-pre Industrial Rev with no consistent clothing styles beyond the vampires being obnoxiously slutty.
Vampires live among humans and the ones that live the longest and thrive the most are the rich and powerful, highly immoral ones. Common people who are turned and not willing to become gluttonous murderers are usually swiftly dispatched by hunters. Being turned involves intent on the part of the vampire, and venom is the agent. New vampires are not common or accidental (unless you're Danny) because in general vampires like the status quo and creating more competition for territory isn't in anyone's best interest. Vampire on vampire murders aren't common for the same reasons. Vlad, however, is an insane little freak and has killed his own kind before. To drastically paraphrase one notable instance is Aragon, who once decided he'd pick on the new guy in town by kidnapping his four year old and turning her into his vampire bride. Vlad stabbed Aragon about three dozen times, recovered Dani safe and sound, and no one has bothered them since.
Society is entering an era where the general populace at large is becoming more collectively aware of the existence of vampires and other paranormal folk and it's more difficult to work in the shadows than it used to be. Hunters are becoming more mainstream, and while vampires have always placed emphasis on securing wealth and power, it's now more critical to have those societal protections in place.
Generally speaking, vampires are almost exclusively loners and not social with each other. This is mostly because every vampire believes that other vampires are insufferable, and they are the singular delightful exception. Penelope Spectra, Vlad's neighbor and ally, is an outlier, as she is very social for a vampire and often holds parties. She herself lives with Bertrand, whom she turned some years ago.
The vampiric power system revolves around blood. By consuming human blood, vampires regularly renew their immortality and their enhanced strength and healing. Vampiric blood itself is also endowed with certain powers, as it remains tied to the soul of the vampire even after it leaves their body. There's a culture of blood jewelry given as gifts to favorite thralls as a mark of ownership.
To say vampires merely consume blood is to ignore the whole reality. It's not just the blood, it's what the blood contains, that is, the vitality or life of the individual. Every time a vampire feeds off of someone they consume a bit of that person's life and soul. It's an active parasitic relationship that brings only misery to the consumed. Animal blood will keep a vampire alive, but it won't grant them the powers they rely on and it won't fully satisfy their hunger. Danny is doing his best, but he's basically starving himself.
A human that a vampire frequently feeds on turns into a thrall. Thralls are sickly, clingy and basically brainwashed into being willing juice boxes. You don't want to become one. Some vampires will keep them in their houses because it's very convenient. Vlad has his blood supply imported, because he's got a daughter to think of.
Vampiric weaknesses include sunlight, which burns them, and the need to be invited into dwellings or suffer the loss of their powers. There are ways to circumvent both weaknesses, however, and Vlad has found ways around both during his years of experimentation. The only way to kill a vampire is to destroy their heart, so the classic wooden stake is the weapon of choice for hunters. Jack and Maddie are particularly creative with their weaponry, though.
The GIW exist here, as a sort of white-tunic wearing anti-vampire cult/organization. Their designs are pending further thought, because white robes and hoods have some unfortunate connotations I'd prefer to avoid.
Werewolves and dragons exist here, but they're mostly mentioned in passing and also because I think it would be amusing if Danielle tried to date a werewolf prince while Vlad makes semi-serious plans to turn the poor boy into a rug if the relationship goes awry.
There is a Vampire King, but he's been sealed away in eternal slumber because he's more trouble than he's worth. Vampires will go through long periods of sleep every so often if things are going poorly for them, and it usually involves a coffin and a hidden crypt. They are of course, nocturnal beings, but they don't have to sleep as much as humans and Vlad is committed to raising Danielle diurnally. This causes some problems for him, but he's extremely stubborn and refuses to let the sun get between him and his daughter.
Other vampires consider Vlad to be completely out of his mind after the unfortunate Aragon incident. It's not normal to adopt your lunch. Spectra thinks Vlad's obvious mental illness is very attractive and she likes watching him kill people.
Vlad lived in a proper spooky castle before acquiring Danielle, but after he fled Jack and Maddie he moved extremely far away and settled into a smaller but no less creepy manor outside of a small rural village. Danielle is by no means forbidden from visiting the village and Vlad encourages the townsfolk to allow their children to befriend/suck up to her on a regular basis. Sometimes this involves blatant extortion, such as the time Vlad forcibly invited (kidnapped) a select handful of children and their trembling mothers to attend Danielle's birthday party.
Vlad likes to gaslight the people living in the village outside of his manor. They're all 95% sure he's a vampire, because he certainly couldn't look or act any more like one, but Vlad vehemently denies it. Danielle is accustomed to doing the same, and in reality she is actually the most compelling evidence that Vlad ISN'T a vampire. Because what vampire has a happy, healthy, bite-wound free child in their care?

Survivability Bias Pt 2
Masterpost
Danny spends the next few days exploring the town more, while he considers the implications of everything heād learnedĀ at the library. Heād taken notes, but theyāre not exactly the best. Dannyās never been that good at taking notes, after all, but he has a pretty good memory, so the various key words and few quotes heād scribbled down are plenty useful in reminding him of all the wild shit heād read about.
Thereād been a lot of history involved in the whole meta situation. It seems like these so-called meta humans, and various other races (species? Danny doesnāt know nearly enough about the cultural implications of that) have been around long enough to have had a significant impact on the world at large. And yet, at the same time, there really hadnāt been a lot of personal information on any of the heroes. Oh, thereād been plenty on some of the villains - and of course thereād still be villains here, heās not lucky enough to escape that - but aside from various speculation about their romantic lives, and a few acknowledgements of family ties here and there, thereād been very few details about where most of them actually came from.
Superman, for example (he seemed to be this worldās go-to example of metas and superheroes), is listed as being an alien, whoās powers come from his biologies unique interaction with this planetās atmosphere, although it doesnāt explain anything about what that means. Interestingly, there seems to be almost no speculation about Supermanās so-called secret identity. Only about half the listed heroes seem to have one according to the public, but Danny knows that song and dance too well to fall for it. Honestly, theyāre even more likely to have a secret identity than Danny himself, seeing as Dannyās alter ego is literally dead. Not that ghosts seem to be much of a thing here.
Heād felt so silly looking up information about ghosts, right before leaving the library. Compared to the deep dive into recent history, googling āare ghosts realā must have looked insane if anybody could see it. The answer heād returned had been not unlike the way things had been when he was ten or twelve. Before the portal, youād see dumb ghost hunter shows where they never actually saw much of anything. Ghosts were, like, poltergeists that moved your furniture around and slammed the doors shut. The results here had been a little more interesting - clearly in a world where superheroes are a fact of life, fantastical stuff is a little more rational, and the speculation was clearly affected by that fact, but it still had been, seemingly, all speculation.
Of course, none of that really mattered when it came to Superman. Danny was at least ninety percent sure he wasnāt a ghost. And even if he somehow was, it didnāt change the fact that he either has a secret identity, or he basically never takes part in society. And if he doesnāt have a secret identity, then the question very much becomes why not. Because that means he either has no real reason to care about anyone here (which seems implausible), or heās unable to spend that time in public. Itās that possibility thatās knocked out any chance of Danny approaching any of the heroes. Because thereās always the possibility that the endorsed heroes are being used to lure other metahumans in. And Danny doesnāt know nearly enough about this world to make any kind of judgment on whatās most likely here. After all, historically thereās plenty of examples of governments thatĀ work with specific people among targeted groups, in order to more successfully take out the others. it tends not to end well for those people when itās all over, but anyone whoās short-sighted or even just backed into a wall enough can fall for that.
Hell, the GIW had actually tried that line on Danny once or twice, not that heād ever accepted. After all, theyād never realized that was actually sort of alive, so their pitches had always been... less than convincing.Ā
Danny blinks, reaching out to touch the brick wall in front of him. He hadnāt meant to come back here, but honestly at this point, he really shouldnāt be surprised. This random little alley on side street wouldnāt be interesting at all to anyone else. But if Danny stares long enough, he can almost see the green-tinged light of the portal that brought him here. Not that heād ever seen the portal from this side. He hadnāt turned to look until after the light had faded. The idea of seeing his friendsā faces through the swirling green had been too much.
They had all known exactly what it meant when he came here. The difficulty of the journey was the point. Between the anti-ecto acts gaining not just mainstream awareness, but support, and the GIW gaining access to better funding and training, well, the second the GIW had started successfully ending ghosts, it seemed like all the denizens of the zone had collectively decided to stay the fuck home.
At first Danny had enjoyed it, had relaxed and been excited to finally be able to focus on just being a teen. But the GIW hadnāt calmed down, had just started going even more on the offensive, and the second he and Jazz had noticed agents showing up casually at their house, everyone had gone into full alert.
Thatās how they found out that the next goal was to apparently take the fight to the zone itself.
The conclusion had been easy from that point. The portal needed to be destroyed, and fast. But with the ghost zone blocked off (and Dannyās death being the unknowing link that made the portal ever work in the first place), that would leave Danny as one of three remaining targets.
Theyād all immediately agreed that Vlad could figure out his own solution. Dani- well, she had been traveling, but the second she turned up, the others had made plans to send her on her own one way portal trip too.
Of course, the likelihood that sheād end up here is probably minuscule. So heās alone.
āHey,ā a stern voice cuts through Dannyās thoughts. He glances over to the person whoās standing at the door to a building. āThereās no loitering here.ā
Right. Itās almost easy to forget, in the face of his lifeās inescapable absurdity, that to everyone else in this town, he just seems like a possibly-homeless delinquent. Not that the delinquent part is unfamiliar.
āSorry,ā Danny mutters belatedly, realizing that the person is just waiting as he stares at them like a weirdo. Heās not very good with people anymore. Not that he was that good to begin with. Phantom had been a Ghostly Menace, constantly destroying the town with his fights, nobody had expected him to function as a person. Nobody had thought he was a person. But as Danny Fenton- well, heād fallen short of just about every expectation set at Danny Fentonās feet.
Distantly he wonders if his friends even bothered to disguise his disappearance. Heād always kind of wondered if his parents would ever notice if he and Jazz just- left. School definitely noticed, though most of the faculty would probably take it as completely expected. After all Danny Fenton was a terrible student, constantly skipping class and never doing his work, and even when he was in class he was usually halfway to falling asleep anyways. Lancer had certainly lectured him about his lack of discipline more than enough. So they might just come to the conclusion that heād dropped out and run away.
He doesnāt know if heād prefer that, honestly. The truth is messed up and complicated and frankly, unbelievable. But maybe if they knew the truth at least one person might feel a fraction of sympathy for all the bullshit that heād been dealing with.Ā Funny, Danny thinks, how coming here feels more like a death than when I actually died.

Based on the wonderful designs made by @puppetmaster13u specifically the Blob King Danny ones!
Danny stared down small child before him, scowling and pointing a sword at him, ready to stab him Danny bets. Danny slowly crossed his arms, letting out a slight hum.
This was not what he expected when his little ones wanted to lead him somewhere.
He turned his head slightly, staring at the pit that held glowing green water and, slightly. Ever so slightly.
Shivered.
The amount of life in that thing made his skin crawl, and he hasn't felt that in a while.
He then turned his gaze back down to the child, who, outwardly, looked no different. But he could see the curiosity hidden behind the pure hostility at the slightest shift to attention towards one of his little ones.
So, Danny made a decision.
Faster than the kid could react, he picked him up in a way that would let him not be stabbed immediately and left.
---
Henry fidgeted with his glasses, eyes determined not to find their way to the kid held by the King Class entity standing before him or, Danny, as he would be preferred to be called.
"Who is this...?" He looked at the ghost in question, silent hope in his heart that this isn't what he thinks it was.
"Your newest little brother!" Danny ruthlessly crushed said hope, albeit unknowingly. "Found him, liked him, didn't see any guardians around so I adopted him!"
Henry knew there was a lot of differences between ghosts and humans. But never had he been so dismayed over such a difference in culture.
"Um, Danny...?" He began, placing his glasses on his face as he sweat dropped.
"You can call me dad too, of course!" Danny flashed a beaming smile full of teeth his way, and Henry was touched by the sentiment, really, he was.
"You can't just kidnap a random child just because he seemingly," Henry stressed the word, to signify its importance and to hopefully drive home the point. "Had no guardians around."
"Well that's good!" Danny said, smile not dropping one bit and in fact, growing wider as his tail wagged. "Cause I adopted! Not kidnapped!"
"Danny-"
The ex-scientist was cut off by the sound of a blade piercing flesh, and he slowly looked down to find the child stabbing a knife through Danny's stomach.
Oh dear.
---
Damian smirked, finally having been able to injure his kidnapper. The man was a fool, daring to drop his guard around him and easing his grip. It worked out for Damian, of course.
He twisted knife in the man's stomach, utterly disregarding the other one entirely. He seemed weak, so he was a non-issue.
When a moment passed and Damian wasn't dropped, his brows furrowed a bit in confusion as he twisted the knife again.
A beat.
He slowly looked up the sound of a giggle, finding a wide, fanged smile staring down at him with curved, pleased eyes containing a touch of pleased surprise, a hint of pride and a glint that Damian could only describe as manic.
"Knew I picked up a good one." The man purred, voice sounding a slight bit inhuman in his excitement. "We're going to get along well, you and I."
The man giggled and Damian, shamefully, found himself wanting to step back as something felt off about the man. Foreign.
Other.
"Welcome to the family, little champion."

Hot Ghouls in your area ch 3 progress
(500wordish)
Un-fucking-believable that some guy named Danny was the ghost king of this iconic goth horror castle, and yet he had to believe it was the truth. Jason freely gawked at the architecture as they made their way into the main hall. They entered at an upper level and immediately began to work their way down.
Jason privately related the space to where musicians would have been playing in an actual historical castle. Were there ghost musicians? Could he hear the greatest pop hits of 1482? Did anyone have a hurdy-gurdy?
Jason cleared his throat. Danny glanced back at the slight sound.
ā¦Now that the guy was looking at him, it seemed like a bit of an insensitive question. He managed to pull back to less assholish phrasing at least. āDo you know any ghost musicians?ā
His original question was gonna be ādo ghosts have music?ā Wow. Jason chided himself. Might as well ask āhey do your people have culture?ā
Of course the answer was a nod. āYeah, I know one.ā Danny snorted and floated a little higher. āShe's terrible, man, nightmare of a person.ā
ā...But the music is good?ā Jason ventured.
Danny scoffed. āIt's derivative,ā he said fearlessly.
Jason looked up and around for any roaming creatives who might get offended. None of them descended. ā... Castle is empty, then?ā He asked. Casually. Like a guy who wasn't marking every potential exit away from the guy he'd beenā¦
āWas I human trafficked?ā Jason blinked. Holy shit. āSure, Danny doesn't seem to want me, but that's literally what those cultists were doingā¦ They gifted me to him last minute. Like a mall candle.ā
Wild. He made a mental mark for his Bat trauma bingo sheet. He wasn't sure if they had a square for that, but exchanges for comparable trauma were sometimes negotiable.
It belatedly occurred to him that he was offended. āThis is a dumb situation to be in by accident,ā Jason said aloud. He huffed and folded his arms. āThose nerds didn't even pick me, you know? It's not that I was the super special perfect victim, I was just the guy who knocked on the door.ā
He felt more aggrieved by the end. Where was the drama? The respect? The class, even. Hadn't he razzle dazzled enough to be specifically targeted by the criminal underbelly?
Danny put a cold hand on his shoulder. āI'm sorry, you deserve someone to recognize your unique potential as a victim,ā he empathized. āYou're not just some interchangeable sacrifice.ā
Jason shook him off. āNo touchy,ā he warned. He lifted a finger in threat. Belatedly he remembered how unbothered Danny had been by his guns. Shit. He put the finger down. āIāve got a big personal space bubble,ā he said lamely. No threats. He couldn't back āem up here.

Unconscious culture compliance
Danny has come to accept that his dead and with that acceptance, his ghostly nature has bled in more with his human half.
So! Imagine Danny travels around, and with each location, he picks up the area's rights and stuff for the dead (as all ghosts do when in a new area)... except he does it unconsciously, and it feels natural to him to represent his unaliveness.
For example, when he attends a festival in Japan, he ties his Yakuta in the way one would on a dead person. Another example would be that he always kept a coin in his mouth while he was in Greece.
This causes him several issues.
