Waves Coffee Ph ~
10/10 for all the drinks I tried.
I mainly choose fruit drinks because I’m in the beach and it’s much refreshing than coffee.
My favorite is the cucumber lemon 🍋 slushi and the Fruit Drink Soda’s gives you the feeling of drink a soda but its fruits flavor.
For my 3 days stay here I really enjoy their refreshments in the middle of the resort.
It’s just a bummer I wasn’t able to avail the Perks Card or Loyalty Card haha. It’s a new added coffee/ drink shop to this resort and I wasn’t able to explore yet their benefits.
The vibes, the music and the design of the store is so relaxing. They do have stickers, cap or bucket hat, tshirt, notebooks and tumblr that they are selling.
A few gameboards like chess, snake and ladder, jengga and sungka to play with as well.

#001.5 TOUCHING YOURSELF!
❝ ABBY!ANDERSON SERIES ❞
Tumblr media
warnings. eighteen+, nsfw content: lowkey loser!reader, voyerisum, dub-con, dildo penetration (abby!r), minors hop off my shit, friends to lovers (eventually), nerdy!abby.
....AND THEY WERE ROOMATES, she’s always been just abby to you. best friends and thick as thieves. sweet as can be, breathing shy naivety with ever inhale of oxygen — a walking angel on earth. a gentle remainder of what’s good but looks can be so convincing? can’t they?
Tumblr media
The college bar is no busier than it would have been any other thursday night. Any other night, you would have been able to handle the rowdy college kids, the old men checking out your ass with a lingering promise of a nightcap you would never attend but the promise of more kept the tips rolling into now deep pockets.
Two regulars going at it, again, leaving you and Jesse to split them up. Frank, the alcoholic with violent tendencies reaches for the visible switchblade attached to your carabiner. With a swat of his hand, Manny catches his limp wrist before shoving the chaotic pair outside.
God to honest truth, you should have been able to handle them on your own but your mind happens to be occupied elsewhere tonight.
You catch glimpses of her tonight. Abby’s tucked in the black leather booth, her laptop and books laid out in front of her. She insisted on coming here tonight, not caring to be alone in your shared apartment so there was no saying no to her sweet smile.
Soft, slushy braid lightly woven together, but it hardly held. Blonde strands framed her face beautifully, accentuating her soft jawline and supple cheeks. When she wasn’t looking, given you had a moment to breathe, you would take her in.
Abby sheds herself of her vest, a loose white button up disguises her figure along with the navy trousers fitting her loosely around her muscular thighs.
Adorable.
Quietly, you sport a smile, wishing it could be suppressed but it can’t.
It’s been a few weeks since that night. You’re sure you’ll never forget the way she moved, her beautiful hair you were goddamn obsessed with at this point, watching her hamstrings succumb to the pleasure, and the way her body writhed as she came. So, naturally, you hid here. With your loose lips, you were bound to spill.
But this? You couldn’t.
There wasn’t anyone you could talk about this with, especially not Abby. In your mind, you’ve run it over a few times, none of them end well. She’s always been a sensitive girl. Taking everything to heart since grade school. Her big heart remains on her sleeve and you adore her for it but now? It’s the demise of your doom.
You want to have her. It’s a craving in your blood, but you’d just tear her to pieces. So, what if she knew how to fuck? Emotionally, spiritually, mentally - you’d only ruin her into bits until she didn’t even know where you ended and she began. Abby being so woven in your day to day, the friendship the two of you shared, it’s all so complicated.
You did the only thing you know how to. Avoid.
Luckily enough for you, the first week is easy. Abby is busy enough with her schedule, the thought never even crosses her mind that you're avoiding her intentionally. Until you change the time you’re going to the gym, and you’re picking up extra shifts on the days you’re normally off. Still the saint she is, nothing is uttered. A hum, short and crisp with just a hint of disapproval laced in her tone.
She’s smart…careful.
Abby asks to come when she knows you’re unable to deny her request. Here you are, behind the bar, distracted. Again, with her nose buried in her books, pushing up her glasses to the bump in her nose ever so often. She sips the iced water, a lemon wedge and a couple cucumbers sinking to the bottom of the frosted glass. You offered her beer, something to help with her social anxiety but she refuses like she always does.
Need to keep my head clear, she says with a small smile.
Your shift is nearly over, thankfully. There’s a few stragglers in the bar, regulars who are often here every Thursday night make their way out as you clear off glasses, wiping down the countertop. Jesse’s words keep echoing in your brain.
“What’d you do to her?” Jesse raises his eyebrows, subtly nodding his head in Abby’s direction.
“Nothing! Why would you assume it’s me?” You shrug off as you make another cocktail for a woman tucked in the corner. “Because Abby’s as innocent as a fly. Some might find her annoying, but it’s her. Abby looks like a puppy who's been kicked. Stop being a dick to your girl.”
“She’s not my-” Jesse runs off before you can complete your sentence. Leaving you to huff alone, pouring another shot of tequila into the drink. “Fucking men…” You curse to yourself.
You waltz your way over, picking up her empty glass, removing the apron tied around your waist. “Sorry, didn’t mean to take so long, Abs.” The apology slips from your lips, but inwardly you find yourself apologizing for something else entirely, not that she would ever know that.
“It’s alright. I really don’t mind waiting. I, um, got some work done anyways. It felt good to get out of the house. Thanks for letting me tag along.” Fuck, she’s so sweet.
“You don’t have to thank me, loser.” You playfully wink, causing a light giggle. The tension in her shoulders dismisses as you help her pack her things. Instinctively, you wrap her books in your hold as she carries her bag.
The ride home is silent again, leaving room for your mind to wander. Your mind can’t help but end up here for the past week, occupying every second of every day. You ignore the wet patch forming beneath your trousers. The way your cunt is sticking to the fabric, your clit thumping its own heartbeat because of her.
Hardly do you sleep and if you do, you’re dreaming of your best friend. Sometimes, it’s delicate. Soft moments which feel like memories but more intimate. It’s Abby and you, hands cupping her jaw as the pad of your thumb soothes over her chin. Bottom lip tucked between both of hers as you savor her taste. Hints of raspberry balm and something minty invade your senses.
She’s perched on your lap, hips grinding into you as you slip your tongue inside her mouth. Exploring every inch of her, dominating her every step of the way. It’s almost harmless but it leads to more.
Just like tonight.
You’re able to sleep for once. Even if Abby and her perfectly sculpted, bare body is imprinted on your brain, you find rest. Or so you thought.
Really, you don’t know how you even got here. But she’s on top, the strap fucking up into her as she rides you like there’s no tomorrow. Abby’s freckled body facing away from you. Her palms resting on your strong hips, as she fucks down on to you.
The harness rubbing against your clit, watching the baby blue dildo sink into her aching hole as she chants your name like she’s praying to some god. Instead, it’s you. All she needs is you and fuck all you crave is her. There’s no one else nearly as special as her. The way she rides as if she was made for you, taking everything you have to offer, even when you thrust up into her, soft whimpers being pulled out of her each time.
The edges of her are blurry, she never turns around, but fuck can you feel her. Using you for own pleasure, not giving a single damn if it benefits you are not but fuck it does. It’s doing everything to you. From this alone, you could cum. You know you shouldn’t but you crave more. She’s a need that can’t be undone.
Desperately, you want to sink your teeth until all of her. Whatever she wants, you’ll do it. Even if it comes at the expense of your own sanity. God, you’re not careful enough to think about what it means and your hands speak for you on their own. Greedy palms reach out for her, needing to touch her and just as you do, reality sinks in.
Quickly sitting up in bed, realizing your alone, finally awake and fucking soaked. Blood rushes to your brain, your heart thumping. Unfortunately, sweat welcomes nearly every part of your body. You can feel damp hair sticking to for forehead as you feel utterly suffocated by the duvet.
You need to take care of this. She can’t know. She can never know.
The heavy heart beat in your chest, threatening to pump out, doesn’t stop. A sports bra clings to your sweaty chest as you attempt to catch your breath. Flashes of the dream plague your mind, intoxicating your brain with her. You see glimpses of her sparkling golden hair reflecting in the moonlight, entranced by the complete control she has over her body. Each moment calculated with purpose as she lets you fuck her.
With images of only her in mind, fingers sink deep within, a choked moan echoes out as you see the defined muscles in her back clench. You imagine the dream is real, it’s you taking what you please from her. It’s Abby sitting herself on your cock taking what she’s owed.
The thought alone has you slipping in another finger, severely lost in the thought of her, you’ve yet to clock your door open. Too lost in wondering how her face crumbled when she tumbles over the edge. Does she like to be fucked through her orgasm or does she prefer a gentle voice, whispering sweet affirmations in her ear? Both?
Curling your fingers into your g-spot, drenching your fingers as you find the one spot as you picture Abby, fucking herself on the dildo as it brings your closer to the edge. All you see is her and as much as you try to rid yourself of the thought, you can’t help how wet it’s making you.
Trying but utterly failing, you’re getting louder, incoherent moans tumblr before you can catch them. Soft whimpers as if you’re some sex deprived teenager rubbing your clit for the first time. It’s stupid, trivial, yet, you need this.
“Abby—” before you catch it, it falls from your lips. Tirelessly needy, you grab the vibrator from the drawer, bring the shaking toy to your puffy clit. Over-abused by your ministries but if you don’t finish, your actions are terrifying. The thought alone scares you.
“Please, Abs, I need you.” It’s then, you feel it. The tight band in your stomach being released from it’s strong hold. Deep pools of blue and golden waves haze your mind. As your eyes shut, you ride the wave as if you’re riding her.
As if she’s the one to bring you to completion, coaxing you with the soft rasp in her voice as sweet little nothings are whispering into your ear. It’s impossible to stop the way your body shakes, just when you watched her come undone the first time, you can’t stop it.
Maybe you would have if you’d know the truth.
Your blonde nerdy best friend wasn’t as innocent as she appeared. No.
Not when she leaned against the wall, your bedroom door opened as she got off along with you. Abby’s pussy swallowed her fingers as she pictured they were yours bringing her to the edge.
Fuck….No.
All the sins were piling up, and it was only a matter of time before it caught up to the both of you.
This is what roommates are for, right?
lmk what you think! mwah! ♡

I loooooveeeee these😍 okayyyy ....
Sun - I give space for people to be themselves, I love deeply and uncondionally, I can see people's highest potential and most amazing qualities, I fight for people's dreams and fight for them to believe in themselves.
Moon - neveeerrrr in relationships, I can't hide my feelings, I can't lie, I can't manipulate. I hate all those things. I want complete honesty and nothing else. 💯 even if someone tries to supress their feelings I make sure to ask and stay with the person so they open up.
Mercury - yes 🤣🤣🤣
Venus - physically affectionate, affectionate with their words, touchy, gentleman, classy, hot , sexy 🤣 has divine Masculine traits. A lover boy.
Mars- well it depends if I need to approach anyone, if so I will, but usually others approach me first.
Jupiter - oh I consider myself extremely lucky
Saturn - umm I think some adhd symptoms, so for example, can't focus on something unless it's interesting, forgetfulness lol can't wait for things !! 🤣 but I actually don't have the majority of the symptoms, like I'm not hyperactive at all nor am I disorganised or indicise.
Uranus - education , education should be individualistic, meaning give children incredible amounts of inspiration when they're young so they can see what they like and not like. Not 18 years of maths, science etc for all. In the current education system, only the academic child succeeds. In the future our peak will begin at 20 not at the current 40. Its not coincidental that everyone is lost after they leave school. That's the first time people find themselves. I believe that if you've been through the current education system you have been intellectually abused. Only 1/100 will go onto Academia, therefore we would have all failed in school at some point and felt bad for no reason. Or got scolded by a parent for no reason. This system will vanish. I hate that I wasted 23 years of my life on it. Gatekeeping information. For what. It's going to end soon.
Neptune - intuitive af
Pluto - haha.... twin flame awakening and discovering your twin flame.
Ascendant- YES
IC - 50/50, my childhood was primarily with mum, grandma and auntie and siblings cause dad was always working and tbh I don't remember much of him in childhood. I used to think I was so rich because I loved everyone and that's what I thought being rich meant🤣
Descendant- Friends : extremely, extremely kind. Guys: really hot 🤣
MC - no idea
Aries - yes because of my ADHD but I've recently been less so
Taurus - oh gosh, so before I went mainly raw vegan it was lasagne, donuts, pizza, anything chocolate, cake, wraps, fried cheese block ( non vegan days), Muffins, Cupcake, brownie, Bueno. After I went raw vegan, its Banana Slushie, Orange Juice, Any kind of fruit juice, smoothies, any raw food, I love trying out new food, mango, peach. Any fruit. I love Everything I eat ! My favourite food used to be Bulgarias' most famous salad. Shopska Salata. Tomatoes, cucumber, onion, ( Cirene - Bulgarian White Feta cheese) salt, vinegar, oil, lemon. Everyone used to know me as salad girl 🤣 because of how salads were my favourite. I still have some cooked food when I desire it. Like Love Raw, I've stopped eating processed sugar foods because I get my sugar kick from the fruit but damn that is one good vegan Bueno. I wrapped one in a pancake once, oh my days 🤤🤤🤤🤤
LoveRaw and Oreos are THE top tier of vegan food.
Gemini - yes ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Cancer - oh yes I really do!!!!! And that starts with a guy . My dream has always only been one dream my whole life, it's to have a lover I really love, because that's who I see as a family first. I've been single my whole life because I've never found that. In fact, that's why I initially wanted to be an actress. Because I used to really like the boys in the movies and thought, I'm drawn to them for some reason, I want to act with them to see why. (Later, when I discovered my twin flame, I understood why. But that's a story for another time haha). If I don't have extreme passionate love in my most direct relationship, that's just so scary to me. A future I don't want 10000%. I think I'd like 3 children. I really want to be a mum, to love someone all the time, for them to look to you for their self esteem and for you to only love them unconditionally and see what person they are in this world. To share the love for your children with a husband and to see your husband and children playing together ❤️ to expand your family with someone you are in love with. To see your lover in them. I've always played around with what kind of upbringing I want them to have, I used to really like the surfing lifestyle in the sun and water whilst eating fruit, or imagine if they grow up in a city or somewhere cosmopolitan with a beach at the back of the house. Goodness this all depends on who I marry really. I have no idea what their career will be? A surfer ? A business man? Your life literally depends on your partners' job and your own job. If I want to be an actress in America, then realistically I will end up with a business man who works in New York, so I might end up with the city lifestyle. I just know that I don't want a man who's really busy though. I wouldn't like to not see them or be with them. I don't want that relationship where you need space from each other or where you need to both be working so you miss each other or only see each other for the nights. Or where you have fights (I never want to fight with my lover). Or where your life is majorly focused on your job. I can't do that. I need a lover. I need a lover lifestyle. I need someone to think about 24/7 😅. I need someone's body to daydream about. I need someone's eyes to look into all the time and feel pure unconditional love between each other. I need someone that feels like only you and them exist. I need someone to love ❤️ nurture and support. 🥰
Leo - I am okay with whatever life gives me, so if that is unnoticed or being the centre of attention. I am okay with both. I don't choose to have a preference because I can not know what another person will think of me or how they will treat me. That's why I don't react if someone disrespects me, if that is how they chose to see me, I accept it. And if someone is nice to me, I treasure it so much. Plus there are pros and cons to both. Being unnoticed for a celebrity may be bliss, being the centre of attention of someone who's been ignored their whole life would be bliss. I like to hear people's opinions and thoughts, I'm very curious about other people's worlds simply because everyone has such different likes, that you're bound to meet people who like things you don't and I love to change my opinion to the positive, I love to be shown a light I previously couldn't see, plus I think most people don't receive a lot of praise and don't feel seen or heard enough, because I realised that the only reason I am strong and confident is because my mum always listens to me, my sister always validates me and so does my brother. I am strong because I am nurtured. Therefore, I like to nurture people that way because that's how I see them, with joy. I think when you are the centre of attention people don't speak up because they're focusing you or they may feel invisible or less than. And if they get to a point where they brake down, that means you were a part of the accumulation of them feeling bad, and I can't imagine someone secretly feeling bad whilst at the same time you're feeling good because of the attention. I don't like the unawareness, blindness and selfishness of that situation. The quote " If you can only be tall when someone else is on their knees" by Toni Morrison really captures it. Plus how can you be happy, when the person next to you is sad. Also, I like to go into their world because I already know mine, any new knowledge from theirs can help me discover new areas of mine too. I don't think I'm drawn to being the centre of attention for the sake of it, however, on the occasion when someone offers it to me, I respectfully receive as it is always nice when someone is nice to you and makes you feel special too. It's a nice gesture :)
Virgo - perfectionists are stereotypically unhappy, however I think that their aims are nothing short of admirable. For someone to dedicate their whole being into success. I like that. It shows they care about their work, which really means that they are respectful to the person recieving their work. The problem is that there is a lot of guilt and shame and attack which comes from self hate. Once you have a high self-esteem and love yourself you realise that you can be happy perfectionist. I am that.
Libra - I'd love to! 1 million percent!!
Scorpio - sure
Sagittarius - New York ! I've always thought that New York was my type of city. But I want to see the world with people I love!
Capricorn - Playing Elektra for Marvel.
Aquarius- social, I like spending time with people I love, hate being alone. I can't do things by myself and not even that but I get in accidents so much and hurt myself by accident so much that I need someone to watch me 🤣
Pisces - I like to try all and I enjoy all.
1H - Classy, Elegant, Feminine, Sensual
2H - no, I don't think I attach to physical things, however physical things do bring back memories of people. I attach to people though. Once I'm attached to you, I'm in love with you forever haha
3H - the movie industry
4H - I'm close with all
5H - reading, but anything will become my hobby at one point haha
6H - Yes and no.
7H - Being vegan is a green flag for me, I can't date a non-vegan nor someone who wants pets. I think those are deal breakers me.
8H- workaholics. No thank you. A lover for me always comes first.
9H - all of them ;)
10H - I am inevitable 🤣
11H - Kind, Attentive, Caring
12H - not having a lover I love. My life hope is that.

They're all in agreement about not liking Despoina (goddess of the arcadian mysteries, frost, winter, & shadows). They're also not fond of Chione (goddess of snow) or Boreas (god of the north wind).
Carpo just got out of a long term relationship with an aurai guy named Guthrie after she caught him sexting an anthousai model on Fatestagram.
Auxo's all time favorite meal is watermelon feta salad with spicy shrimp (served with peach salsa). She also likes the barbeque pulled pork sandwiches from The Bread Box.
Thallo loves creamy spinach mint soup with lo mein noodles (with sweet & sour chicken).
Carpo loves a steaming hot bowl of tomato soup and brown rice with chicken pumpkin curry.
In their free time together they like working on their music, shopping, tending to their farm, and gardening. The sisters also have separate hobbies. Slushie Machines: The History and Future of a Slushie Machine | {Smart Soda Holdings, Inc}
It's possible that the slushie was first created in the 1800s. They are a sort of ice cream that may be prepared using a wide range of components, including fruit, nuts, syrups, and spices, among other things. The term "slushie machine" refers to any machine that is capable of producing slushies. The production of ice cream, sorbets, and other frozen confections can be accomplished with the help of slushie machines. Machines that are used to manufacture slushies can also be used to make ice cream and sorbet.
The preparation of slushies can be a lot of fun, but it can also be a lot of labor. The preparation of ice cream, sorbets, and frozen confections is simplified with the use of slushie machines. Ice cream and frozen treats similar to sorbet can be produced with a slushie machine. They are also used in the production of frozen sweets. Slushie machines make it possible to create a wide variety of unique flavors and combinations of ingredients for slushies. There are slushies that are created with fruit, there are slushies that are made with nuts, and there are also slushies that are produced with syrups and other types of liquids. Spices can also be added to slushies to give them a unique flavor.
Tumblr media
The industrial revolution saw the birth of the first slushie machines. Steam provided the motivation for the first commercially available slushie machines. Metal was used in the construction of the earliest slushie machines. The very first slushie machines were assembled using a wide array of parts and components. Slushie machines allow users to access a diverse selection of ingredients at their disposal. In addition, they are utilized in the production of a wide range of flavors and textures. There are several applications for which a slushie machine can be put to use. It is possible to make a wide variety of ice creams and sorbets using this ingredient.
Four Reasons to Have a Slushie Machine Slushie Machines are great for making mixed drinks, and there are four primary reasons why you should have one in your kitchen.
The first justification is that slushies are an excellent method for mixing alcoholic beverages. When it comes to the preparation of drinks, there is a wide variety of flavor options available. Using slushie machines, you are able to produce a broad variety of unique flavors by combining a number of different types of ingredients. You could, for instance, make a slushie that contains fruit, or you might make a slushie that contains nuts. You can also make a slushie with syrup in it or a slushie with fruit in it. Both of these variations are possible.
Slushie machines are fantastic for parties because they can be used to make a wide variety of tastes, including coffees, bubble teas, and iced teas. This makes them perfect for parties with a wide range of attendees. Slushies may also be made, and you have a lot of flavor options to choose from there. The fact that the slushie machine is simple to operate further contributes to its usefulness for parties. After inserting all of the necessary components into the machine, you must then start it up. Allow the machine to work its wonders. You will be amazed at the variety of flavors that you can create.
The use of slushie machines enables one to create a wide variety of flavors, all of which are delicious. You are able to prepare any of the following flavors: bubble tea, iced tea, coffee, honey, maple syrup, lemon-lime soda, apple-cinnamon, mango, tropical grapefruit, cucumber-melon, and many more. When it comes to flavor combinations, the choices are essentially unlimited. Slushie machines are perfect for parties because they can be used to make a wide variety of flavors.
Tumblr media
Slushie machines are available at prices that are very reasonable and can be put to a broad variety of uses. They are useful for making iced tea or coffee slushies, which can be served at parties. They are also capable of being utilized in the production of bubble tea slushies. In addition to this, they are excellent for organizing events. Slushies simplify the process of serving both food and beverages. The slushie machines are simple to operate and take up little space when not in use. The slushie machines are simple to disinfect after use. The slushie machines are portable, which is convenient. The slushie machines require little effort to clean and maintain. “Dry January for me means lots of coffee, tea, and kombucha! Hot chai lattes get me going: I love the ginger and black pepper notes. I wasn’t always the biggest fan of kombucha, but I’ve recently been enjoying a berry hibiscus blend that we have on tap at work. It’s also important to stay hydrated, so I have Nuun sport hydration tablets at the house. Drop one of those in 16 ounces of water, and I don’t worry about cramping up on my 5K runs.” —David Roth, Beverage Director, KOJO, Sarasota, Fla.
“I’ve been making different shrubs to use in non-alcoholic drinks at home. They’re really easy to make and customize. My current beverage of choice has been an apple shrub with bitters and soda water. Having something fun and flavorful at the end of the day is key!” —Rachel Ramirez, Head Mixologist, Nelson’s Green Brier Distillery, Nashville, Tenn.
“Since bars were closed down in Texas, and because I am a social drinker, I decided to take a long break from drinking alcoholic beverages. I’m currently 10 months alcohol-free, and I plan on staying the course for at least a year. But for anyone who is doing Dry January, I highly recommend Aplós, a hemp-infused, non-alcoholic spirit that is plant-based and uplift[ing]. My beautiful and talented friend, Lynnette Marrero, is the flavor consultant for this product. [It’s] so unique that I found it incredibly tempting during these times.” —Alba Huerta, Owner, Julep, Houston
“I’m always drinking coffee and soda water regardless of what month it is, but I’ve been adding in oolong and other kinds of tea. If I’m drinking it at night, I brew it once to remove the caffeine, and then brew it a second time to drink. Mostly, I’m thinking about when I get to drink tequila again.” —Nick Pratt, Assistant General Manager/Bar Manager, Hojoko, Boston
“For Dry January, I’ve been enjoying Highballs made with non-alcoholic bases (Seedlip etc). At Queen’s Park, we have a cocktail on our menu called Here’s the Thing, with Seedlip Grove, honey, pineapple, lime, and soda that I usually grab to-go on my way home from working on the new bar.” —Laura Newman, Owner, Queen’s Park, Birmingham, Ala.
“This month, I’ve been drinking Sobrii 0-Gin with Avec Grapefruit and Pomelo. Avec is a new line of better-for-you mixers, and this flavor has beautiful vanilla and peppery notes. The fresh grapefruit sings together with the gin without the need for any sugar. I’ve been enjoying this combo strained over fresh ice. The beauty of this low-sugar, non-alcoholic drink is that there’s no need to stop at just one!” —Matija Whitenton, Head Bartender, Palihouse Miami Beach, Miami Beach, Fla.
“For Dry January, I’ve been doing a lot of alcohol-free Mojito-style and ginger beer cocktails. They’re simple but tasty and not too sweet, so you feel like you’re still sipping on a great cocktail.” —Al Hofeling, Bartender, Strange Bird, Indianapolis
“Topo Chico [with a] twist of grapefruit [and] a squeeze of lime juice. The high carbonation, along with natural grapefruit flavor and fresh lime juice, makes for a bright, bubbly, and refreshing non-alcoholic beverage option. Vermouth is often thought of as just a modifier for cocktails like the Manhattan or Martini, but it is also great on it’s own for a low-ABV option. I love a good sweet vermouth like Carpano Antica Formula, or a blanc or bianco style such as Dolin Blanc, either on the rocks or as a vermouth and tonic.” —Nick Touch, Brand Ambassador, The Family Jones, Denver
“My go-to Dry January drink is a basil, mint, [and] lemon slushy mocktail. It’s been an at-home staple during the pandemic, as adults and children alike love it, and it’s super easy to make with simple and accessible ingredients. I blend basil leaves, mint leaves, lemon juice, agave nectar or honey, and then add some ice and continue to blend to get that slushy-like consistency.” —Joe Palminteri, Beverage Director, Hamilton Hotel, Washington, D.C.
“I think it is always important to take care of yourself. I often take breaks from drinking to reset both my body and mind. Whenever I’m taking a break, the first thing I turn to is tea. The complexity of flavors you find in various teas are as interesting as wine and spirits. For me, it is a lot of fun to take the flavors I love and share them with others through what we do at Corpse Reviver. This year, I am especially excited about a new house-made chai spice blend and banana kit we created. Add hot water, and you have a beautiful handcrafted chai tea that is a great alternative to a Hot Toddy. For those who want to add booze, I recommend a gin like Conniption Barrel-Aged Gin.” —Megan Corbally, Bartender, Corpse Reviver Bar & Lounge, Durham, N.C.
“I’ve been sippin’ on a session cocktail (no liquor, super-low ABV) that I call the Pretty in Pink: sage simple syrup, lemon, Aperol, ginger beer, soda water, and some lavender bitters in a Collins glass with ice. I drink mine with a half rim of pink sea salt and a shaved lemon.” —Eric Vanderveen, Bar Manager, The Empire Lounge & Restaurant, Louisville, Colo.
“A product I’ve been enjoying quite a bit recently, and will continue to do so for Dry January, is the beer-like beverage [called] Suntory ALL-FREE. It’s zero percent alcohol and sugar, with no artificial flavorings and zero calories. It also fits really well in my lifestyle, whether I’m fresh off a workout or doing a midday conference call. I’ve also been experimenting with it in non-alcoholic cocktails, like a Blackberry ALL-FREE Shandy. It’s really versatile, and I definitely recommend it if you’re looking for non-alcoholic options to keep on hand at home.” —Elliott Clark, Founder, Apartment Bartender, Denver
“We have a huge bag of dried Jamaica at the bar right now left over from some R&D, so we almost always have a batch of Agua de Jamaica on hand. I love soft drinks — probably a consequence of growing up in the Midwest — and having something sweet and tart to enjoy helps to quench one’s thirst for a cocktail.” —Matthew Belanger, Head Bartender, Death & Co, Los Angeles
“Honey is currently experimenting with Kin Euphoric’s Adaptogenic concentrates as a staple ingredient in our Non-Alcoholic Potion program. We love healthy ingredients that still physically alter the body and mind!” —Jocasta Hanson, Owner/Bartender, Honey Elixir Bar, Denver
“Recently, I’ve learned the value of not putting too much pressure on myself, and I’ve certainly carried that into what I’m calling a ‘dry-ish’ January. Moderation and intention are the name of the game for me this month, so low-ABV cocktails have been my saving grace. My favorite ingredients when making low-proof cocktails are sherry, fun sparkling seltzer flavors, and freshly squeezed winter citrus, like grapefruit or orange. I definitely prefer to keep it really simple and often opt for a Highball. A fun one to try is oloroso sherry, grapefruit soda (Fever Tree and Q Mixers make great ones), and a splash of pomegranate juice. Garnish with a grapefruit twist.” —Veronica Correa, Bartender, San Diego
“Our Turmeric Tonic is one of my favorite non-alcoholic alternatives. Turmeric is anti-inflammatory, slightly bitter, and refreshing, making it a great healthy option for a Dry January detox. It can be enjoyed hot — perfect for the chilly winter months — or served cold over ice; both delicious. This recipe is super easy for everyone to make at home.” —Eileen Chiang, Beverage Director, Wayan, NYC
“While I’m not fully participating in Dry January, my consumption, in general, has been quite moderate since quarantine began. I’ve always been a big fan of intentional, thoughtful, non-alcoholic cocktails. I’m pretty fanatical about tea — the Freak of Nature Oolong from Rare Tea Cellar is a regular in my rotation. Their smoky lapsang souchong tea is fantastic too — great to plug it into non-alcoholic cocktails to play the role of the whiskey. I was also making some cocktails recently with juice blends from Natalie’s. They have some really interesting profiles that are easy to twist into a fully composed non-alc cocktail. The ‘Purify’ from them (blood orange, grapefruit, dandelion, and ginger) is a favorite.” —Charles Joly, World-Champion Mixologist & Co-Founder, Crafthouse Cocktails, Chicago
“I’m currently loving shrubs and amaro for no- and low-ABV options. As part of our zero waste program, we make both in house — utilizing what would be waste, such as fruit and vegetable peels, coffee grinds, chocolate scraps, etc. We serve each with seltzer water or ‘caldo’ with hot water, and right now, we’re featuring an apple fennel shrub with fresh lemon juice and soda. I’m also big on vermouth — Dolin Blanc, specifically. I’ve been making sours with it for myself that are super-low ABV, since the vermouth is the only alcohol in it.” —Melissa Brooke, Bartender, The Musket Room, NYC
“When I’m in the mood for a cocktail but also want the chill vibe, my route is always an aperitif. I recently discovered Artet, a non-alcoholic cannabis aperitivo that hits those bitter notes I’m looking for, along with a modest dose of THC. It’s perfect for the early evening on the rocks with soda water, and versatile enough to lend itself to a fun cocktail creation.” —Karl Steuck, Owner, Spirit & Spoon, Los Angeles
“Without a doubt, I’ll be drinking the crowd favorite, the non-alcoholic Painkiller — pineapple juice, orange juice, and creamy coconut goodness, finished with a generous dusting of freshly grated nutmeg. It’s been a rough year in this world. True to its namesake, the non-alcoholic Painkiller cocktail served at Bammy’s surely numbs the pain and eases the mind. Honestly, I barely miss the rum.” —Chad Henry, Bar Manager, Bammy’s, Washington, D.C.
“While options are plentiful for observing Dry January, I created the Zoe’s Mocktail. This deliciously refreshing drink is one part Goya Jamaican-style ginger beer, four parts San Pellegrino, with a splash of lime juice and Pom pomegranate juice, [and] garnished with a lime rind spiral. It’s flavorful with a nice little zing, and pairs well with rich dishes.” —Marc Sauter, Bartender/Sommelier/Owner, Zoe’s Steak and Seafood Restaurant, Virginia Beach, Va.
“I love a Negroni, and I love trying variations on them as well. And a Negroni is a cocktail that before you could not get non-alcoholic because its components are basically all alcohol-based. But now, there are amazing non-alcoholic spirits like Lyre’s Spirit Co. that offer an homage to classic spirits we know and love, like a Dry London spirit, Vermouth Rosso, and Italian Orange, which is their version of an Aperol, just [without] alcohol. Of course, then I take my style of blending tropical island flavors with classics. With Sweet Hibiscus from the Perfect Purée of Napa Valley, it delivers just that harmonious blend.” —Tim Rita, Brand Ambassador/Bartender, Lyre’s/ T-Mobile Arena, Las Vegas
“I’ve defaulted to making Martinis at home using inverse proportions: 2 ounces of vermouth and .75 ounces of gin. It’s every bit as satisfying as a regular Martini, but significantly lower in proof!” —Shannon Tebay, Head Bartender, Death & Co, NYC
“I’ve been intrigued by the multitude of new tonic expressions on the market and have been playing with them in combination with different Fresh Victor flavors. I find that 1 to 2 ounces of Fresh Victor with 4 to 6 ounces of tonic is a great formula. Fresh Victor Cucumber & Lime plus classic tonic water is a go-to for me on a regular basis; I like Q’s new Light Tonic in particular. —H. Joseph Ehrmann, Owner/Chief Mixology Officer, Elixir/Fresh Victor, San Francisco
