Stone Brewing Company expands their taproom-exclusive American Pilsner to all of Southern California.

ESCONDIDO, CA ... Stone Brewing announces the release of its year-round Pilsner now available throughout Southern California. A 4.7% crisp and crushable beer, this is a pilsner for the people.  

Stone Pilsner is easy drinking and clean with notes of orange, pear and watermelon. It’s light bodied with a mild breadiness and sweet corn chip finish.  

First brewed at Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens – Liberty Station, Head Brewer Kris Ketcham wanted a year-round draft offering for the Bistro to satisfy the request of fans for something laid-back and light. As it turns out, the demand reached beyond the Bistro, so the team filled the big tanks too. This low ABV offering rounds out Stone’s year-round portfolio with a true Americana beer for sunny SoCal days.  

Originally brought to the U.S. by German immigrants, pilsners here have evolved through the creativity of American brewers and ingredient growers. Stone’s American Pilsner is made with North American-grown ingredients and public varietal hops. Ketcham explained, “This beer is clean and crushable, with a light touch of Cashmere and Vista hops for good measure. Both come out of the public breeding program and we thought it fitting for our American Pilsner to be made with all American public hops.” 

Closing out its third decade of brewing, Stone has made bold IPAs for hop lovers, decadent stouts for dessert lovers, even big haughty beers for arrogant people. Today, Stone says cheers to all kinds with a crowd-pleasing pilsner for the people.

one of my favorite things to do with my husband every now and then is get a case of cheap beer and enjoy a few while reading its reviews on beeradvocate. it's an endless source of entertainment. the pretentious reviews treating it like an ipa and the ones that acknowledge what it is are both hilarious

ESCONDIDO, CA (January 31, 2024) – Stone Brewing, among the world’s most renowned IPA breweries, introduces a new addition to its popular lineup of Delicious IPAs. Stone Delicious Hazy IPA is now available on draft and in cans year-round and nationwide. Thanks to this fourth Stone Delicious variation, the brewery also announces the anticipated release of a Stone Delicious IPA Variety 12-Pack in addition to its innovative variety six-pack. 

The newly expanded Stone Delicious lineup includes: 

Stone Delicious Hazy IPA (7.2% ABV) Brewed with Sabro, El Dorado and Azacca hops, giving the beer intense creamsicle, peach and pineapple flavors with a beautiful slightly opaque appearance.

Stone Delicious IPA (7.7% ABV) The original Stone Delicious IPA packs a refreshing and hoppy lemon candy flavor making it especially complementary to an array of foods and a superior standalone IPA. 

Stone Delicious Double IPA (9.4% ABV!) A beer that stands out with a serious depth of flavor and explosive aroma of lemon and tropical fruit from Centennial and Amarillo hops. With less bitterness than a typical double IPA, this one is extra fruity, extra gratifying and extra Delicious. 

Stone Delicious Citrus IPA (7.7% ABV) Brewed with Talus hops that impart vibrant citrus notes complemented by the addition of sweet orange peel. The result is especially bright and satisfyingly juicy.   

Stone Delicious Hazy IPA – like all the beers in the Delicious series – also happens to be gluten reduced. In fact, each beer clocks in below the FDA requirement for “gluten free” labeling (less than 20 parts per million). A gluten-reduced Hazy IPA is hard to come by. Not only does this one exist, but it also packs an unparalleled flavor rendering that gluten conversation nearly irrelevant. The beer is juicy, creamy and full-bodied with notes of peach candy, orange, vanilla and sweet pineapple.

USC Athletics partners with Stone Brewing Co. for official craft beer.

ESCONDIDO, CA ... The University of Southern California (USC) Athletics, announces the debut of its first-ever official craft beer, Stone Fight On! Pale Ale. The beer is brewed by Stone Brewing, the Southern California-based brewery that has been trailblazing the craft beer category with a fierce commitment to quality and freshness for 27 years. The official USC Athletics beer will be available for purchase the week of August 14, 2023.

Stone Fight On! Pale Ale will be distributed throughout Southern California at stores, bars, and restaurants and onsite at the Los Angeles Colosseum and the Galen Center, home of the USC Trojans. Its 16oz cans feature classic USC iconography and colors. Inside, the beer is a quintessential SoCal Pale Ale – a balanced blend of tropical and citrusy hop flavors, light-body and endlessly drinkable at 5.5% ABV. Stone’s brewers developed the beer to offer that hoppiness Southern Californians crave in a style that suits tailgates, beach days, and cheering from the stands or at home.
