In fact, when it is mixed with a liquid much of it is “lost” and some converted to creatinine with even more converted into creatinine when creatine monohydrate passing through stomach acids.

 Buffered creatine monohydrate remains stable and thus, does not break down but passes into the bloodstream intact.
