i think about charles rowland so often. so many times a day. it’s not even funny. he’s just always in there like “hey, it’s me, the traumatised bisexual half indian punk genderfuck from the 80s with adhd and daddy issues who thinks he has to be happy and upbeat and positive for everyone to keep the people around him going but in reality he’s scared that he’s a terrible person because he gets angry sometimes. also i’m in love with my best friend who has the most extreme case of autism rizz you’ve ever seen literally everyone wants to fuck him. and i use 80s urban london slang even though i clearly came from a wealthy family because my parents could afford to send me to a fancy posh boarding school, so i’m always saying shit like ‘brills’, ‘ace’, ‘mate’, ‘innit’, ‘oi!’ and ending every sentence with ‘yeah?’ oh and if you’ve ever been mean to me i probably have a crush on you. if you’re mean to someone else though i will end you i don’t fuck with bullies. i’m always swinging around my cricket bat threateningly as if i don’t have a full ass sword in my magic bag that is actually a pocket dimension that only i can navigate. i have never once known what was going on ever in my life, i’m just happy to be here. i cannot articulate any feeling ever but that won’t stop me from whipping out the most romantic shit you’ve ever heard completely on the spot. i need everybody all day long to like me so much. oh and i gave up eternal peace to follow some edwardian twink around and give him a goofy grin every time he says or does anything and hand him shit. i may or may not be colour blind because i don’t know the difference between red and blue. btw i died because of a hatecrime but i’m fine.” and i’m like my beautiful babygirl i love you but i’m literally in a grad school interview right now

Okay so this ended up being a lot more than a silly doodle, but let's be real it's what Evoroa and Gona deserve. I've decided Keyleth and some other level 20s - druids or worshippers of the Wildmother - decided to magically encourage the gardens into some cross-seasonal stuff so that their moon guests can see and try a bunch of things.

Okay, so we know that Charles' polo goes red>burgundy>black and back by the end of the season.

Because there's so much going on, I always missed the exact transitions. This time I specifically tracked them down. (Apologies if this has already been done.)

Charles shirt is bright red through the majority of the Devlin House, even in Hope's Diary scene, when he opens up to Crystal.

Even when he first swings at Mr. Devlin and gets knocked back, his shirt is red.

The very subtle shift to burgundy is after he disappears and first reappears in the loop.

It remains burgundy throughout the entire lighthouse leapers episode and beginning of the two dead dragons.

I finally realized the very last moment we see of Charles in the burgundy is with Crystal. She tells him after the confusing makeout night, "But I think we should be friends," and kind-hearted Charles, of course, respects that and puts on a friendly smile.

It's difficult to see in the next scene with him because of his jacket, the angle he sits at on the ladder, and the lighting, but it's immediately after that when we first see him in the black polo.

His shirt is still black during the "I don't wanna be a bad guy" scene.

After Edwin's affirmation of Charles' inherent goodness, it is directly after this scene that the shirt goes back to burgundy!!!

what if in season 2 they meet someone who only speaks like, french (for the sake of this scenario) or something. and none of them know what to do, and edwin just bursts out in PERFECT FRENCH and when the client has left he just goes "my french is a little rusty so it might be a bit wrong here and there but i think i got it :)" and everyone just dies because how on earth did that just happen
