Guys I don’t know what I did for the universe to bless me like this but… I’M TALKING TO A GUY WHO IS BASICALLY EDDIE MUNSON!!!!
-same hair style
-loves the same music
-plays the bass
-has a voice that sends chills down my spine and makes my heart race
-dressed kinda similar (think the plaid shirt in the outfit test shots)
Only things that aren’t similar:
-has pretty green eyes
-doesn’t play D&D
-doesn’t sell or partake much when it comes to weed
He’s basically AU Eddie and I’m melting 🫠

Steddie who keep missing each other. Who aren't in love at the same time. It's neither of their faults; they're just not quite in touch, in tune with each other.
Sure, Eddie had a stupid huge embarrassing crush on Steve throughout junior year, senior year and senior year 2.0. Sure, it was made so much worse when in Steve's first and only senior year, Eddie found himself sat in math class diagonally behind the fallen king. He'd watch the way his hair moved when he ran his hands through it in frustration. He'd see the shift of muscle under his shirt when he bent down to pick up a dropped pencil. And every time Steve would smile, flutter his lashes and pinch his eyebrows, say; "I'm sorry sir, I just don't know", Eddie would find himself shifting in his seat, nipping at the skin on the side of his finger, knee bouncing under the desk. They didn't really talk beyond 'hey's in the corridor, beyond 'did you do the homework?'s - to which Eddie would without fail stutter out an 'Uh- so, no. I meant to- Just, uh. No.' and Steve would without fail flash a soft smile, bump his shoulder into Eddie's and whisper 'Me neither.'
It got easier, after Steve graduated. Eddie still saw him around, still recognised his car in the lot when he was giving Robin Buckley from band a ride to school. But it wasn't so immediate, wasn't so raw. And after a while, the butterflies would fade. He'd be able to meet Steve's eye across the Family Video counter without feeling his mouth go dusty and his heart leap into his throat.
Steve hadn't realised his feelings for Eddie were anything more than friendly, until he graduated high school. Without the daily glances across the classroom, the moments he'd always take to make conversation, it felt emptier. It gave him time to think about the way his chest would tighten at Eddie's shy smile whenever they talked. Steve hadn't realised he might be allowed to feel something softer than 'dudely bro-ship'.
That is, until it fades so the only time Steve sees him is when he drops Robin off at school, or when he comes in to family video to rent Halloween again. Steve's heart prickles at the sight of him, but after a while, Eddie's visits drop off.
Steve tries to keep himself busy, grateful for some time without inter-dimensional battles or Russian agents trying to kill him. Thoughts of Eddie drift to the back of his mind, for almost six months. And then in the spring of '86, Steve finds himself thrown against the splintered wall of a nondescript boathouse on the outskirts of town. And it's Eddie Munson from Math that has a shaking, jagged bottle held up to his throat. It absolutely doesn't awaken things in him that he never knew he could want, absolutely not.
But regardless, he's staring half-terrified into the dark, watery brown eyes of Eddie Munson from Math, and all he wants is to reach out and smooth a palm over his cheek. He wants to curl his hand around those trembling fingers and tell him it's all gonna be okay. Of course, it isn't. Steve doesn't get much of a chance to talk to Eddie over the next week, what with some vampire soul-sucker guy terrorizing the town, and Max getting possessed and the whole thing going entirely to shit. But he finds himself drawn inexplicably into Eddie's space, splits off with Eddie and has the girls pair up and then Eddie calls him 'big boy'. And his entire world stops spinning for a moment. For just a second, it's just the two of them, and Eddie's face is so close to his, his smile so wild and beautiful.
The whole world stops, before it rockets back into thrilling, terrifying motion.
In the fear and the panic of the final Vecna showdown, Steve has to thrust his feelings back down deep. He can't let shit like a crush get in the way when the lives of the people he loves most are at stake.
It all happens so fast, and before he knows it, Max is in a coma, Eddie's been torn up to within an inch of his life, there's no certainty that Vecna's even gone, and he doesn't know what to do.
For days, Steve sits by Eddie's bedside when he can - when he's not with Max - only sleeps when he does. He silently begs for Eddie to be alright, feels guilty for every thought he has that isn't about Max. He begins to resent how desperately he pines for the moments when Eddie's awake, and after a week, once it's clear that Eddie's going to recover, Steve doesn't visit him anymore.
With all the feelings that are getting jumbled amongst the multitude of all the other horrible nasty fragile things that are writhing around inside, Steve forces himself to shove any thoughts of Eddie down, to get over him. And before he realises, it's been weeks. He's still worried for Eddie, of course he is. The guy almost died in Henderson's arms. But now the world's not actively ending, now he has a moment to breathe, he wonders whether the sparking, shimmering thing that had his mouth going dusty and his heart leaping into his throat was the same thing that had him saying all that shit to Nancy in the upside down.
He can't trust that it's not just a trauma response.
After Eddie recovers, slowly and with more help than he'd ever admit he needed, he sees Steve again. But he's distant. Friendly, but impersonal. An acquaintance. Things are as they were before. It hurts, but he knows all too well that any of the flirtation, the playful teasing and longing looks can only be chalked up to the fear of the end of the world.
It's a couple months before Steve tells Eddie he's going to college out of state. He's leaving in a week. And everything that had been laying dormant for so long comes bubbling up to the surface.
"Shit, I wish you'd given me a little more notice, Harrington," Eddie says, trying desperately to keep the heartbreak out of his voice.
"I'm sorry man, I just. It all happened pretty fast and like if I didn't do it now, it wasn't gonna happen, yknow?" Steve shrugs awkwardly, runs a hand through his hair.
If I didn't do it now, it wasn't gonna happen.
"It's gonna be a damn sight harder to like you this much when you're that far away," Eddie's mouth says before his mind can catch up.
"I like you too, man, but hey, I'll be home for Christmas. You can catch me up on everything I miss, huh?" Steve bumps Eddie's shoulder, just as he used to when they were leaning against the lockers back at school.
"No, Steve. I- You're, I mean. I like you. In a- Like I have, I totally have feelings for you, dude," Eddie forces out, watching his sneaker as he kicks at the ground.
"Eddie..." Steve says softly, and it just breaks Eddie's heart even more. Because that's a let-him-down-gently 'Eddie'.
"No, no it's- Don't sweat it man, just sorta had to tell you before you- Anyway. Have fun at college. I'll- I'll be here when you come home."
"Eddie, wait. I'm sorry. I just..." Steve begins, looks so pained, reaches to take hold of Eddie's shoulder. He avoids it, ducks out the way. And then Eddie leaves, before Steve can try to do something awful like making him feel better or tell him it's okay.
Eddie doesn't see Steve again before he goes to college. Hears from Henderson over the next few months how he's getting on, all the babes he's dating, the assignments he's trying to actually do before the deadline, and Eddie forces himself to smile, crack a joke, whatever.
Slowly, he extricates himself from conversations about Steve. Doesn't want to hear it, but can't tell anyone why. So he finds excuses; he has to take a leak, just remembered he promised Wayne he'd pick up groceries, got band practice, whatever he can come up with. He doesn't even hear Steve's name, tries desperately not to think about him (and fails), until December.
Until the evening of December 24th, when there's knock at the trailer door. With Wayne already asleep, Eddie drags himself from the couch to pull the front door open.
Eddie's met with a coat-wrapped, scarf-muffled, bobble-hatted Steve Harrington standing on his doorstep. He’s rocking back and forth on his toes, arms crossed tight around his chest, hands tucked under his arms. His cheeks are pink, the tip of his nose pinker still, nibbled by the cold. He’s just as beautiful as the last time Eddie saw him, and it jerks his heart into frantic motion against his ribs.
He’d thought he was over Steve, that seeing him again would be just like what it is; welcoming home an old friend. Except all Eddie wants to do is take hold of Steve’s frostbitten cheeks, pull his face towards him and kiss him like it’ll erase all the months of pining that had gone before.
Of course, he doesn’t. Instead, he just balks, says "Steve? What are you-?"
"I had to see you. I’m sorry if this is like inappropriate or if you don’t wanna see me- Dustin said you seemed like, mad at me or something. And honestly I can’t blame you, really. I shouldn’t have- it’s not that I didn’t, that I wasn’t. What I’m trying to say, Eddie, is that I know it’s too late. I know I missed my shot. But I haven’t stopped thinking about you for the last four months."
"Steve-"
"I know I have no right to do this to you. But it was killing me, man. Because I think I might have- I think I might be-"
"Me too," Eddie interrupts. His mind’s whirring and tumbling, trying to gather up the pieces of Steve’s fragmented confession. Steve’s jaw hangs open just a little, paused halfway through a word. "I thought it’d gone away. Thought I’d gotten over Steve Harrington," Eddie continues with a sardonic little shimmy of his hands, "but uh, seems you’re a little harder to shake than I thought."
"D'you, d'you want to shake me? Off, I mean," Steve asks, dipping his chin and looking up through thick lashes, a shy, self-conscious suggestion of a smile pulling at the corners of his lips.
"No. no I don’t."
"Oh thank god. 'Cause I don’t know if I’d survive that," Steve exhales, his small smile spreading into a grin. He rocks forward onto the balls of his feet again, and Eddie finds himself pulled into Steve’s orbit. It doesn’t matter that he’s just in his socks and the doorstep is damp with cold. Eddie crosses the threshold and curls his fingers gently around the lapels of Steve’s coat. Eddie’s struggling to breathe, little puffs bursting forth from his lips and clashing in the air, mixing with Steve’s own.
"Can I-?" Eddie asks, doesn’t dare say the word aloud in case Steve’s not on the same page; gives himself an out if Steve’s not where Eddie’s at. Where he’s always been at, really. It just wasn’t quite at the right time.
"Yes. Please," Steve breathes, sweet frosty breath swirling gray-white around in the thin, chilly air between their faces. Slowly, giving Steve plenty of time to back away, change his mind, Eddie draws Steve towards him, tips his chin until their noses brush. the very peaks of their lips touch, and Steve’s breath hitches at the contact. It’s the prettiest sound Eddie’s ever heard. Eddie sips in a breath, hardly daring to move, and lets Steve nudge their mouths together.
Finally.
Their lips press softly together, and Eddie feels Steve’s hands come to grip at the sides of his sweater, bunching it at his waist. He pulls Eddie towards him, moans softly, just the tiniest hint of voice slipping out and into Eddie’s mouth. A new prettiest sound.
Suddenly aware of their very public, very chilly location, Eddie stumbles backwards, pulls Steve inside with him. Steve follows enthusiastically, kicking the door shut behind him with his heel, lips never leaving Eddie’s for even a moment. They’re entirely wrapped up in each other, even as Eddie frantically unwraps Steve’s cold-proof clothing, lost completely in the feeling of their bodies pressing together.
They took their time, to get here. But now that they are, here is where they’ll stay. It won’t be easy, being apart for long stretches while Steve’s away at college, but now they’ll have a little something of each other’s to keep hold of until they’re together again.
They’ll have the promises they made each other that night, the words whispered against skin, the kisses pressed and breath shared. They’ll have the silent, precious exchange of one heart for another. And that will see them through.

Season 2 episode 8 is called “Buck, Actually”
In season 2 episode 12, Tommy tells Chimney his favorite movie is Love, Actually.
Also, how did they know to include Tommy as early as episode one of the first season? Casual name drop that he’s Abby’s ex fiancé… then he’s in both “Hen Begins” and “Chimney Begins”?
I personally think that the whole thing was a set up and that they planned on having Buck come out at some point. Maddie always teased Buck about his boy crush on Eddie, tricking him into calling Eddie cute, etc.
Not to mention that in “Buck, Actually” he finally mentions knowing what love is after talking to the older gay man after his husband passed, who ended up dying on scene as well.
I feel like Abby was a huge influence on Buck’s love life, finally getting him out of the Buck 1.0 phase. She was older, more mature than him, and forced him to realize what he really wanted. Which started his Buck 2.0 era.
Tommy is the first man that Buck ends up with, Abby’s ex who happens to be the homophobic low key racist fire fighter from the earlier 118. When he finally meets Buck, he’s come into himself, come out, older/more experienced, and again more mature than Buck. I think Tommy was always meant to be used as the turning point in Buck’s love evolution.
Reflecting on what Tommy said during their break up and then Eddie thinking of moving could be his next wake up call. I see a lot of parallels between the Abby then Tommy storylines. In both cases they force him to realize what he really wants and personally I think that’s going to be Eddie.

Seven sentence Sunday
tagged by @daffi-990 thank you <3333
So how I said I'm in a smut-slut era so I start new wips every day. it's 9 but imagine it is seven
Right fucking now the problem is the choice of Eddie’s sweatpants. It’s not the pants Buck ever saw Eddie wear and he is so fucking thankful for it. Because he is going crazy looking today, but if he ever saw Eddie wearing those stupid gray sweats when he had crazy crush on the man in his Buck 2.0 era - still a whore but for one person - or in his recent after Natalie era of Buck he-lost-the-count-which-one - the era of understanding how fucking stupidly in love his is with his best friend and needing to control himself better around him - he might have just gone to Eddie, knelled and begged to be fucked or at least to suck Eddie so good he would forget his own name. Just two months ago it would happen, but now Buck controls it and just watches how this perfect, gorgeous, long and thick cock flies in those provocative sweatpants. He just watches. Yes, maybe like a creep, but hey, he works. It’s not his fault Eddie being a whore in front of him. And Buck’s inner whore just synchronizes with it - how their brains always do - and begs to be laid.
He is not even jerking off, just admiring best porno in his whole life, remembering every moment of this obscene picture for his next session of fucking himself on dildo, crying Eddie’s name.

Okay god what?!! Like why but your last post reminded me of that ep form LS when (spoilers?) TK had to go back to NYC to attend his mother's funeral then the plane's engine sort of exploded midair so they were going down and Carlos down there in the airport going thru the nine circles of hell on a loop all of that happening while TK having some sort of his begin ep so lots of flashbacks involved. All of this is for me to say, what if this is how deaddie wins??? Like Eddie going to el Paso to get Chris, plan crushes, bam presumed dead Eddie, buck going thru it and Eddie is having his queer/what's the meaning of life epiphany while trying to get back to his family Eddie begin 2.0 style!!!
Like this would be so neat me thinks even if the show never went there I want 10 fic out of this stat
DUDE I WAS LITERALLY THINKING ABOUT THE LONE STAR PLOT WHEN I STARTED THINKING ABOUT SOMETHING HAPPENING TO THE PLANE. Especially because the ls plot is about family and it could be interesting bonding for Eddie and Chris if something happens to the plane with both of them in it, but something happening to the plane Eddie is in while going to get Chris and he never gets there? Can have some fun repercussions EVERYWHERE. Eddie thinking he might die without making things right with Chris, contemplating life because he almost died again? Buck going absolutely batshit insane because something might happen to Eddie? Ugh, someone write this PLEASE

i was in the middle of making a post about my predictions for the finale when i realised my buddie stuff could take up a whole other post so here ya go:
this is a bit of an out there theory and i don't necessarily think it will happen, but it's something i'd do if i were the writers. eddie makes a move on buck. i don't mean 'yay buddie goes canon in the last 10 mins of s7', i mean 'eddie fucks up so monumentally they don't know if they can come back from it.' i think he'll try to kiss buck and buck will push him away.
eddie's confused and lonely and heartbroken (not to mention desperate) and he turns to the one person who has unfalteringly been by his side the whole time, the guy who likes to fix things. it's not that he doesn't have genuine feelings for buck, because he really does, but he's not thinking about it AT ALL. he just wants buck (to his core) and is maybe letting himself feel that for the first time.
but it's like a slap in the face to buck. buck, who's in a happy, stable relationship for the first time in years. buck, who eddie told his bisexuality wouldn't change anything between them. buck, who's been used for his body for his entire life. he would be absolutely crushed if eddie did this. and he's matured to the point that i think he might not let it slide. he wouldn't cut eddie out of his life, but i think he'd need space and for once he might respect his own needs over his wants. especially since i don't think he's considered his feelings for eddie and definitely doesn't think eddie's acting out of love/desire
so we get to the end of s7/start of s8 and eddie has fucked up his relationships beyond belief. chris, marisol, even his parents and shannon's memory. buck is still there, because he's always there but things are different. and i think that it could be a great set up to explore who eddie really is and what he wants, especially if/when the 118 get split up. as ryan keeps saying, he'll be isolated. neither buck or eddie will tell the others what happened between them, but that doesn't mean that eddie won't finally look into his sexuality by and for himself.
when i say i want a divorce era 2.0, i don't mean screaming at each other in a grocery store bc to a certain extent that was almost funny - they were coworkers of less than 2 years and it was wildly overdramatic. now they're partners and best friends and co-parents and they've suffered blow after blow, and their kid's gone and eddie betrayed buck and they don't know how to be anymore but they love each other too much to let go
#idk how to end this lol#but yeah i think this storyline would eat#it'd be crushing#but i think oliver and ryan would kill it#and i think we need a more mature revisiting of buck and eddie's relationship/codependency#they spent season 7 establishing how close they are and how strong their bond is#(and they've done it so beautifully and casually)#and i think now they need to smash it up and put it under a microscope#also eddie needs to be studied#also they're clearly doing something big with eddie in the finale based on all the interviews scheduled#i think they'll come out the other side stronger#but i think they need to be confronted with a problem that is of their own making#and not an act of god#though i think a near death experience as part of/the culmination of this arc would be stunning#also interested to see how it would affect buck and tommy#would not be surprised if we get tommy essentially stepping aside or telling buck he's in love with eddie#anyway#911 thoughts#911 spoilers#911 abc#buddie#eddie diaz#evan buckley#bi buck#queer eddie diaz#gay eddie diaz#911 speculation#911 season 7#911 season 8#christopher diaz

Does anyone else ever think about tall Eddie and short Richie? Like Miniseries kid Richie and Eddie grew up to be 5'4" and 5'10", like it's so wild to me that I've never really seen this yet!
One of my favorite things is when the shortest kid in the group becomes the tallest or at least taller than their crush. I love it when like a summer goes by or it's been a long time since they've seen each other and now the short one is noticeable taller than their friend+crush.
Like how does this change their dynamic? Does it stay the same? What happens when they're in a situation where OG tall now has the "short job". Was this unintentional, does OG tall know that, how does this make them feel? And OG short has gone through the biggest physical change. What wacky accidents does their new height cause them, what old habits/behaviors do they absentmindedly do when they're with OG tall, how do they feel about all these changes? Do they both worry that the other person thinks differently of them or worry that there's no way the other will ever like like them now? Both?
I'd love to see this be done with Richie and Eddie! Whether it's kids to teens or Derry 2.0, I don't care! I need both! A height dynamic switch with these two would be amazing!
#it#richie tozier#eddie kaspbrak#reddie#thank you for reading my rant#height dynamic switch#⬅️please and thank you#my post

911 Spoilers Season 4: You’ve been warned. 😅 Buddie Rewatch
Episode 6: Jinx
Buck has a clip board. Going thru a list of supplies, making sure the engine is stocked. Buck calls out the item, Eddie is grabbing the item and confirming. Buck pausing and having Eddie correct his “yep” to a “check.”
Eddie has a slight grin, showing mild annoyance, but playing along with Buck as he continues to say “Check”
Hen and Chim walking over, Hen asking who gave Buck a clip board.
Buck tells Hen not to warry, he is kinder and gentler. Eddie smiles as he leans against the truck, listening to Buck monologue and introduce himself as Buck 3.0.
Hen asking what happened to Buck 2.0 and Chim interjecting that that Buck was crushed by a fire truck and left by his girlfriend. (I know he means Abby, but Ally came to mind first.)
Eddie asserting that he isn’t “sure what inspired the software update” as he looks up at Buck. Buck responds that he is ready to let go of the past. Hen points out that it’s a bit ridiculous that he’s willing to just let go being lied to all his life. (I’m with you Hen!)
Buck reveals that he will be going to therapy with his parents for a few sessions to work thru that obstacle. Eddie looks intrigued by the idea.
Eddie is leaning over the cabinet door of the truck, telling Buck that it’s okay for him to take some time and process this new information. He doesn’t have to jump in right away and work thru it. Buck claims to know this. He is just tired of focusing on the past and wants to start thinking about the future. Every one looks at each other, they are obviously not sure how to process this stance.
Buck screams out to the new recruit, Ravi, calling him Probie.
This is slightly off topic, But in Season 2, when Eddie was a probie, now one called him a Probie. I vaguely remember Buck being called a probie in Season 1. I feel like it says a lot about the way Eddie carries himself. Probably one of the many reasons everyone thinks Eddie is older than Buck, instead of thinking they are the same age.
Buck apologizes for scaring Ravi and asks him how the shift was. Ravi uses the forbidden Q word. Everyone minus Eddie is startled by the mention of the word. Eddie is confused as he continues to pack up the truck, Ravi is confused standing there as Hen and Chim talk about curses.
Buck explains that the “Q” word is forbidden in any firehouse. Bobby interrupts and asks who used the word. Eddie asks what he’s missing here because he can’t comprehend the reaction.
The fire alarm goes off, and Chim vocalizes that they have been jinxed. The team runs off into the trucks, as Ravi stands there awkwardly.
Cut to Eddie in the truck telling the rest of the team that they sound like his grandmother’s neighbor, the healer. He of course says “Abuela” and “Curandera”. I love when Eddie leans into his Spanish roots.
Buck quickly and unironically asking if she would know how to reverse the curse, because if she doesn’t, they are about the have “the shift from hell.”
Chim and Hen explain how they are going to experience nonstop, stupid calls. Eddie judging them and asking if they really believe in stuff like that. Hen quickly adds, “Buck never told you about the last time someone used that word.”
Buck tries to justify that time as the gods taking that moment out of context. Flash back to a younger Buck trying to add a dish to a running dishwasher and him making a comment about how quiet it was running.
That shift resulted in 36 calls. Eddie finding it hard to believe that all those calls were a result of one shift. Bobby chiming in to say it was a record. Buck correcting the number to 37, revealing the fire suppression system was triggered in the locking, trapping Buck in foam at the end of that shift.
Eddie still being a denier, tell them that they are giving the EMS god too much credit. The arrive at the accident. Buck jumps out after chimney, Eddie after Buck. Eddie pointing out that the accident is just a fender bender, not a stupid call. Bobby tells him to look up and we see a man tapped to a billboard. Bobby calling over to Buck, Buck runs to grab the ladder. Eddie smirks as he pulls a bag out of a truck, claiming to have seen crazier.
Buck climbs up the ladder to get to the man stuck above. He tries to reason with the man to get down for everyone’s safety. Everyone below sets up an air bag, incase he falls.
Eddie running towards the car accident scene runs into Ana, Chris’s old school teacher. She was burned by cup of coffee, Eddie offers to check the burn for her. He tells her that ice isn’t good for burns and she reveals that another firefighter gave her the ice. Eddie is on his knees as he looks over the burn, instructs her to keep the area dry and clean.
Ana asks about Christopher. Eddie responds that he’s doing well and adjusting to online classes. He assumes that online school is likely the reason why he hasn’t seen her. Ana reveals that she actually has a new job as a vice principal at a different school district. Eddie and Ana subtly flirt through out the conversation.
I think now is the best time to mentions that I never hated Eddie and Ana’s relationship. I never understood the fan fics that make Ana an evil witch. I did think their relation was boring, probably because we never really got to know her as a character. We really didn’t see their dynamic, or real passion between the characters. I’ll of course go into more detail about this later on, just felt like I should say something now.
Bobby calls for Eddie over the radio to bring over the equipment for their billboard guy, cutting his conversation with Ana short.
Buck descends down the ladder, telling Bobby that the guy refuses to get down. The tape starts to give out and Buck makes a run up the ladder to get to him. Eddie is looking up as this happens. The guy falls off before Buck could make it up. Luckily the air bag broke his fall.
Buck sits on the ladder defeated. As the guy celebrates surviving and walking around naked, Eddie picks up the tape that was holding the man up. Bobby sarcastically asks if he wants it as a souvenir for the day they are about to have.
Everyone gathers upstairs for lunch. Bobby pulls out mac and cheese from the oven. No one is allowed to eat until everyone is at the table. Buck runs up last, apologizing, as they get ready to eat the alarm goes off.
Montage begins with Bobby putting the mac in cheese back inn the oven.
Eddie rescues a cat and brings it back to the owner. Buck is attempting to help a man down the same tree.
Bobby pulls out the mac and cheese, slightly over cooked. Buck telling Bobby to hurry. The alarm goes off again. They run off, place the mac and cheese back in the oven.
Eddie and Chimney are covered in Vaseline as they try to get a lion head off of a girl. Hen is able to cut the head off. Buck is thrown up on. Eddie backs away as he jokes about someone eating today.
Mac and Cheese is burned. Buck and Eddie are sitting across from each other at the table. Everyone is disappointed by the burned food. Alarm goes off again. Buck looks at Eddie as he sarcastically says they are not jinxed. Eddie looking back at Buck with pursed lips.
Eddie standing with his arms crosses, awkwardly not trying to acknowledge the curse as Chim and Hen handle the squid attack.
Buck burns his mouth on hot coffee straight from the pot as the alarm goes off again.
Buck trying to pry the recliner off of a man at the movie theaters.
Eddie and Bobby removing the door of a washing machine to save a child.
Eddie asks Buck if he ever replays a conversation in their head a realize that he may have sounded like an idiot. Buck replies with, “have you met me.” Eddie smiles. They are walking side by side to the next rescue. Eddie reveals that he ran into Chris’ old teacher Ana that morning.
Buck makes notes that Eddie hadn’t mentioned Chris’ pretty teacher in a while.
They walk in to Bobby and Hen moving helium tanks. Buck comments on the interesting scene of a clown being covered by helium tanks. Eddie is practically pressed up onto Bucks side at this moment.
Buck and Eddie start laughing uncontrollably as Bobby instructs them to help out, in a high-pitched voice. Eddie and Buck looking at each other before they move in to help. Their laughter becoming more uncontrollable the more they hear people speak.
Cuts to the 118 leaving another call. Eddie and Buck are walking out pressed together. Eddie comments on how boring the call was given that it was people stuck in the elevator. Hen tells him not to say it, prompting Eddie to call them a bunch of old ladies, stating there is no curse. Buck comments on how windy it is as he hopes into the truck. Everyone jumps into the Truck, after they start discussing how they should not tempt faint.
Eddie buckles up, and proceeds to comment about how it was a normal call. “It went like clockwork. Wham, bam, thank you, ma’am.” Hen chimes is about notice how no one says “Wham, bam, thank you, sir.” Buck being a smart-ass chimes in saying it is because it doesn’t rhyme.
Eddie being overly confident that jinxes don’t exist. Power pole goes down immediately after Eddie says this. Everyone looks at Eddie angrily and Eddie sits up awkwardly.
Chimney and Buck texting Josh about their situation in the truck, I assume it’s a group text. Josh clocking that they are wanting to remove a curse.
As chimney is researching ways to remove curses, Eddie is acting disinterested, while Buck is trying to get a proper explanation.
Eddie continues to make fun of the team for believing in this curse. Buck states, “It’s like the universe is screaming at you and you refuse to listen.”
“The universe doesn’t scream.” Power lines start loudly zapping again.
Eddie states that he doesn’t worry about things he can’t control. Buck tries to get him to admit there is something out there controlling the things he can’t control. Eddie starts listing mystical creatures and legends as he taunts Buck. Eddie attempts to say the “Q” word, but is told by Bobby to stop. This prompts the entire team to ask Bobby’s opinion on the matter.
Bobby points out that everyone is a little superstitious, pointing out that Eddie wears a good luck charm around his neck. Eddie explains that is not the same thing, but Bobby explains how it is.
Help finally arrives, but not before taking photos of the accident and making fun of them.
Eddie walks in the kitchen area. Bobby, Buck, Chimney, and Hen are all upstairs. Turns out Eddie could not sleep. Eddie walks up to Chim, Hen, and Buck and asks if he’s interrupting book club. Hen states Buck is reading about woman, Eddie turns to Buck and jokes about wondering why Buck had a book in his hand, but knowing it is about woman it all makes sense.
Buck is reading about the 5 love languages, asks Eddie what he thinks Ana’s love language is. Buck putting Eddies business out there and peeking everyone’s interest. Eddie calls Buck a traitor as they ask if he’s dating.
Eddie explains who Ana is and how she ran into her this morning. The 118 being nosy and asking why he didn’t ask her out. The bell goes off before Eddie can come up with a response.
Something I feel needs to be pointed out is that at this very moment Buck does not have any possible suitors or any one of interest to date. From the look of where Buck has the book opened up to, compared to where everyone else has their books opened up to, it’s pretty safe to assume he started reading that book that night. This implies that the only reason he was reading this book is because Eddie mentioned Ana. Buck could have just mentioned Ana’s name to set a fire under Eddie, but the question felt genuine. I like to believe; Buck was trying to figure out Eddies love language and compare it to what they thought would be Ana’s.
I also like to add that if Buck had been reading this book for a while, he may already know Eddies love language, and uses that to his advantage. From reading the book myself, I think Eddie’s love language is acts of service. Buck’s is likely words of affirmation. Quality time is both their 2nd love language.
$10,000 Worth of Fireworks; Buck and Eddie grab the water hose out of the truck. Bobby calls Buck over the radio, telling him that he is needed out back. Eddie telling him to go, that he can handle the hose on his own.
Buck leaves and Eddie starts to drag over the hose. The hose gets caught on something, this is when Eddie sees what he assumes is another firefighter from a different unit and calls him over to help. He specifically says he lost his partner could you help me out.
Brian runs over to help. Eddie starts to talk about the rough day he has had, and complains a little. As Brian walks off, Eddie realizes he’s from the unit Ana mentioned that gave her ice. He tells Brian about the situation as he walks off. Bobby walks over to finish helping Eddie. There we learn the 147 is decommissioned after the mudslide, they have no idea who that man was.
Back at the station, Eddie further explains that the man he saw had a jacket with the name Harmon on it, Bobby points out who the real Harmon is and it’s not the guy Eddie spoke to.
Bobby turns this conversation into a lesson for Eddie. Stating, “They’re so focused on what they don’t have that they miss the chance to have something else, something real.”
Eddie slowly making the realization that Bobby means he needs to move on from Shannon and possibly pursue Ana. Bobby further explain how he can’t stay stuck. Eddie is on the verge of tears as he asks Bobby about Athena and her kids. Bobby reassuring Eddie that he loves his new family, but he does miss the one he lost.
So I love the fan theory that Bobby picked out Eddie specifically for Buck. It’s a cute funny theory that I only entertain because it is wholesome. I do not actually believe this theory, but if I did, I would assume Bobby is pushing for Eddie to pursue Ana, because he knows that Eddie needs to heal more before pursing Buck, also this moment isn’t right for Buck either, because he’s processing something totally new.
Burger Freak out: Larry explains that a firefighter called telling him that a gas leak had been detected and to break all of the windows. Bobby and Buck come around the corner and explain that there is no gas leak, but that the gas is going to remain off until the investigation is over.
Buck running after the guy they suspect has been pretending to be a firefighter. Brian steals the 118. Buck is banging against the truck trying to stop him from fleeing.
Eddie looking over at the commotion confused. Bobby announcing over radio that the engine has been stolen. Buck letting Chim and Hen know they are still jinxed.
Buck revealing that he just topped off the gas tank, there is about four hours before the guy runs out of gas.
Over the radio dispatch calls in a 5-alarm fire. Buck asks Bobby what are they suppose to do. Bobby instructs everyone to hop in the back of the ambulance. Buck hops in and lays on the gurney. As everyone squeezes in around him.
Buck vocalizes how using the ambulance is a stupid idea, and how their luck really lead to someone stealing an engine. How they might not even be able to help while on scene.
Eddie believes there is a way to get the Engine to the scene, Buck looks up at Eddie confused.
Eddie speaks to Brian directly, calling him over the radio. Eddie thanks Brian for helping at the garage fire. Eddie instructs Brian to help out by bringing the fire engine he stole to the 5-alarm fire.
Eddie walks up to Brian and tells him he did the right thing and walks off.
Buck, Chim, and Hen are in their civilian clothing. They are grateful for the shift being over. Bobby offers to buy the three of them breakfast. Buck makes a kind of concerning comment about not eating long enough, he no longer feels hungry.
Eddie appears out of nowhere, He’s still in uniform, and standing to where he is showing off a lot of cake.
Eddie denies the invitation claiming to have other plans. Buck is visibly confused; Bobby is smiling like he knows what these plans entail.
Buck, Bobby, Hen, and Chim talk about and elaborate on how Brian got a hold of firefighter gear and how much trouble he caused with all his help. Before eating their breakfast, a woman collapses.
Eddie is alone at another breakfast spot. Stressed while looking a menu. I understand feeling a bit anxious about a date, but the normal cool calm and collected man we are use to seeing is no where to be seen in this scene.
Ana arrives, he pulls out her chair for her. They have light banter and when the waiter comes over to ask about drinks, they both respond, “No, coffee, Jinx” and laugh. I understand that the moment is suppose to be cute, but why would you tell your waiter you don’t want coffee. Maybe I’m thinking to much into it, when I was a waiter, this interaction would have confused me and just been awkward.

I keep thinking about how Buck and Tommy probably only just missed meeting each other because Buck sorta arrives to take his spot at the 118...but mostly I keep thinking about this because of who Buck was back then and also how we now know that Tommy was closeted. Buck 1.0 and Tommy (would 2.0 be applicable?)
And okay so if Tommy had remained...
Tommy probably would have found Buck attractive because obviously...but he also would clock Buck as straight right away and also an idiot. Meanwhile, I think Buck would have a kinda puppy hero worship thing going on that he doesn't realize is a crush but definitely becomes a friendship.
And I think with enough time, and with the 118 becoming into the family we know that Tommy would have come out and embraced that part of himself and that Buck in trying to be an ally would do research and realize stuff about himself too and also maybe how he feels about Tommy. And maybe enter Eddie Diaz and Buck and Tommy are just both screaming at world because it's unfair that he's straight but hey they have each other...
Hen and Chim cackle in the background. Bobby just shakes his head and pretends he doesn't know what's happening.
#911 abc#tommy kinard#evan buckley#if I had the time I would devote it to writing a fic version of this#thought exercise

and what if i said i don’t actually like buddie that much………… it’s not that i don’t see the vision. Because I Do. and like buck is (kinda) gay for eddie and i do think eddie suffers from hetcomp and they would be really good together and i mean buck has had a (boy) crush on this man since his first appearance but at the same time.. i’m not insane about them?! and i really don’t know why like i still think they’re the best romantic option for each other in the whole show up so far and i mean buck’s relationship with chris is just soooo THATS HIS DAD TOO and they are a family….. but i just… don’t know if i went in the show w too many expectations (i started watching bc i wastold they were destiel 2.0) and then i actually just ended up frustrating myself or.. if they just don’t have that much flavor but idk i really wanted to like them more but in the end i’m pretty normal about it. again it’s not that i hate them or anything or that i don’t actually ship it (bc yes i do) but it’s more like. They don’t make me go insane. and i’m perfectly fine with buck and tommy too, which wouldn’t indicate nothing (if i were a normal person) except that i’m borderline jealous of every couple i ship when they are with a different person then the one i like for them, almost as if i’m the one being cheated with yk what i mean. anyways the point is that i like them just fine and i’m not crazy obsessive about them:/

In a logical sense, I see what we’ve witnessed with Buck and Tommy as the one off experience. It could last a little longer than anticipated but it’s that first time kind of thing, most of us queer people go through, I think.
We have those people in our lives who either were part of the first time relationship or stayed the crush/friend and yet they were a part of understanding the feelings. Perhaps it wasn’t long term at all. Perhaps it was the one kiss and one date. Perhaps it was a few more dates and you mutually parted ways. For some, it could be that lucky one where they too were developing feelings and so it blossomed into a long term relationship.
And I think the episode made it super obvious that Tommy has things in common with Eddie. If someone were just to speak those words out loud in a later episode when people know or suspect and Chim goes, “you know Buck you essentially went on a date with a version of Eddie…” just saying it seemed like they were going for something there with the being in the Army and enjoying Muay Thai. Except there are things Buck doesn’t know or doesn’t enjoy like basketball so Tommy having more in common with Eddie too soon, makes Buck spiral as he did. And as he called it, “bad behavior” reared its head and as Chim said, “well, you Bucked that up didn’t you.”
What I’m saying is, Buck can have fun for now. Buck can enjoy this or try to because it’s just his luck that apparently Eddie and Marisol end up at the same restaurant…anyway, I think it’d be nice if the writers mentioned more of Tommy’s behaviors and we see an active apology and/or active forgiveness over his past mistakes. However, they have not…
But if a fictional character cannot be given the chance to grow, change and understand when they Bucked up then what’s that say about real life? Some people are obstinate to change, but I think a majority of people want to understand how to change for the better, to correct the wrong that they made, and to be an overall better person. Personally, I like to fill in the gaps and believe Chim and Hen have since been apologized to and Tommy knows he was dumb back then. Bigoted and dumb. He’s shown accountability for it but it wasn’t put on screen. If they wanted to insinuate he hadn’t changed and was still some bigoted bad apple why bring him back at all for any reason?
If it’s not being brought up and made into something that’s still an integral part of the character then I also don’t see the harm in Buck being giddy about this version of Tommy he gets to see and has admitted to wanting to get know. That’s a cool guy. I like that guy.
Buck is the guy who had Buck 1.0 and 2.0 phases; please, he’s the epitome of wishing he could grow and change and be a better person so I think off screen I can assume that Tommy has done the same since his departure from the 118.

A to Z, Loud Rock to Heavy Metal
A pig in a dress is still a pig...
The case of Pantera Part 2:
It's not the same band. Dime was like Eddy Van Halen, his guitar playing had a signature sound, Dime's was the sound of chainsaw sawing through metal while Phil Anselmo screams about being addicted and miserable. Good times.
New Pantera? No! No Pantera! It's apples to oranges when you're comparing the original and this tribute lineup. Zakk Wylde's guitar playing is closer to Slash, if Slash was paying homage to Lynrd Skynyrd and Randy Rhoades. To me Slash was more garage rock, sloppy and fuzzy classic rock than straight up 80's metal like Zakk. Zakk's guitar sound is not in the same tone and vibe as Dime's, again, my opinion.
This is the Phil Anselmo Experience featuring the music of Pantera. You're not going there to crush your skull like the 90's Pantera concerts on video. Guys who grew up liking this band are now older, the band is now older, we are in a different time and head space, this is a rebrand of the original band, this was music from 20+ years ago, which makes it retro to the bone.
My honest opinion is we didn't need Pantera 2.0 after all the shit that went down from 2001-2004. Spare us, please, form a supergroup and play something else, call it something else because Pantera, it's not!

can we please imagine an in-canon hc where during the 27 years eddie’s memory is REALLLL bad, like bad to the point where…. where he accidentally discovers richie as an actor and richie becomes his celebrity crush without eddie even realizing that he actually spent his entire childhood with this guy. like the first time eddie watches a movie with richie in it, he thinks that he actor seems kind of familiar, but soon any feelings of familiarity are overrun by eddie’s big big celebrity crush on richie tozier.
eddie is a little embarrassed to have a celebrity crush at his big age, but he knows that it’s harmless and he doesn’t think anything much of it…………… until he goes back to derry for clown fight 2.0 and sees none other than richie fucking tozier standing in that restaurant, and he suddenly remembers that richie tozier isn’t just his celebrity crush. but that richie tozier also happens to be one of his childhood best friends……. who he happened to also have a major crush on for a majority of that childhood.

aster— do you have any 'fictional crushes' on any movie, tv show, or book characters? who and why
zinnia— would you say you think more with your head or with your heart?
freesia— what do you want people to remember you for? (serious or non-serious answers)
Aster- Eddie Munson, he’s so sweet, so caring, everyone loves him and I’m the way way.
Billy Hargrove- He’s had a hard life, I had relate to that growing up. Plus Dacre played him so well.
Steve Harrington- I’m basically Stevie 2.0
Bucky Barnes- he’s been my absolute favorite marvel character growing up. Not in the movies, in the comics. Then Sebastian played him so well, I just adore him so much.
Wanda Maximoff- I have so much feels for her, for what she went through and she’s so pretty.
Zinnia- more of my heart, I have a big one <3
Freesia - my heart, my sweetness and how I treated people
