So I decided to read Cruel Prince because one of these popular book series has to be good and Holly Black wrote Spiderwick so I trust her more than other authors and I'm 100 pages in and so far I like the protagonist her and her sisters are all valid for the way they feel in this situation and I'm mad curious to find out why Cardan is so cruel and all that I guess

can u imagine him calling jude nicknames in his native tongue like ?!? he already refers to her as his “sweet nemesis,” and his “darling god,” but can you IMAGINE. pet names for jude in his own language… the possibilities .. and her being like “?? wtf does that mean are u insulting me” and he’d just smile at her bc he loves her sm but obviously has problems showing affection.

Sleeping;

Feel like he's sometimes annoying when he sleeps

He's not like other book bfs where he's just clingy and cuddly,

No no, this man will probably be snoring one second and then a cute, little, cuddly, menace, the next

He'll snore sometimes, but softly (not too loud bc I can't have one of my fav fictional characters giving me the ick)

He'll just be sprawled across the bed, gripping your hand in his sleep, snoring softly, and just saying a bunch of shit that doesn't make sense (incoherent queen 😩🥺)

He'll randomly try to rizz you up with his Shakespearean ass vocabulary when you guys are finally in a established relationship

I can't think of anything poetic he might say so I'll leave it at that for now

Like yeah ok, Mr. "Perfectly fine" after you guys have a small ass disagreement and he's already halfway through Norman Fucking Rockwell

I love him.

These were random ass headcanons and I was gonna do spicy ones but idc bc it's almost 3 am

Something I love about Jude is, that when she witnesses how Balekin treats Cardan, she isn't like every other YA main character "oh no, that's why he's so mean. I should help him!", but more like "oh no, Cardan has the potential to be even worse, I gotta stop him!"
